I dont go to Dicks Sporting Goods to often, BUT this store and its staff have changed my mind for an awesome experience! I was planning on getting a charcoal Yeti 65 cooler from REI, but it might take a month. I was disappointed, because I wanna try this cooler out for July 4th. I saw on the Yeti website that Dicks (going by DSG going forward) sold their products. By checking online I knew they didnt have the color I wanted, but wanted to see if they would ship it from the Canton,OH store who did have it in stock.Long story short, Shannon called and made some moves! She said no problem , and by my surprise the Yeti cooler arrived a week later at this store for me to pick up. Shannon started the excellent customer experience, but it didnt stop there! I went in to pick up the cooler, and met Tood and Kelly. Just really nice cool people, who just werent robots doing a job. I told Kelly I was here for the colder on hold, and I felt like a super star. She stated, Oh weve been expecting you, Ill go in the back and get the cooler .I walked around the store to spend the $50 coupon I received for buying a Yeti cooler, and Todd saw me walking around. He asked if I needed any help and I told him about the cooler purchase. He told me about a Yeti 30oz, that was the color of the cooler. I had to see this! We talked about what the Yeti cups could do and just had a good conversation. Great time in DSG! (I did get 2 Yeti cups) I get ready to checkout, and it Shannon, who started everything! Very nice lady! Ill come back to this DSG, even though there are closer DSG to me. I was so impressed, Ill be back again! I didnt expect it. Thank you!
I notice people talking about the customer service. They dont greet you, but I dont care about that. Im not here to make friends; Im here to buy product. When I search for things, I like to be left unbothered. So thats a plus in my eyes. If I need help, I will grab an employee. I never had a problem at this store. I think a lot of people expect to treated like kings when they walk into a store. All I want is to be left alone.If you dont like being bothered or followed like youre about to steal something, come to this location. If you want prime customer service, go to Chic-fil-a.
The sales associate was not helpful at all when asking questions about the quality and prices of the treadmills. He was very surfacy and bored me with his responses. Didnt have a lot of knowledge on the product and different selection of prices. He told me the more money, better the quality.
Hello, I was in your store this evening at about 7pm until 730pm. We (2 adults and 2 kids) had to search for someone to find a price which they did. After choosing a kayak about 2 min after getting prices we stayed in the isle and were looking at kayak racks when an associate came over and removed the one we were going to purchase.After telling the associate he said he had to get a managerThe manger then said that someone put it on hold as we were looking at it so it doesnt count. We are customers in your store and couldnt buy the item we were about to purchase because while there the kayak was put on holdThis is awful customer service and a way to be treated. I am a regular customer to your store and after this you may have lost me for life. I own 3 of your kayaks. 4 life vests many fishing equipment. Today we also intended on purchasing a tent that after your manager Rickie said he would give them 15min he the changed it to nevermind it will be held until the end if the night.I feel so upset that this happened. This is not okay or a way to treat a customer
This was my first time coming to this store and this will be my last. I was not greeted nor acknowledged when I walked into the store. There are no signs letting you know what the sections are, which way to go for this and which way to go for that. And there were quite a few employees on the floor but no one stopped to ask if I needed any help even though it was obvious that I was lost. I walked the entire store for quite a few minutes and absolutely no one asked if I needed any help. So as I went to leave I ended up trying to go out the emergency exit and no one stopped to direct me to the right door to exit out of. The two employees that saw me just looked at me and said absolutely nothing. Im asking the cashiers for the exit door they just looked at me and turned their head. I left the store buying absolutely nothing and I will not recommend anyone to come to this store ever. I wish I could rate them a zero.
I ordered some clothes online. The service was very fast. The clerks were available from the time I walked into the store, until I walked to the service desk to pick up my order. I love my insulated turtleneck, it was just what I needed for my job. I am very impressed. The store appeared to be very clean and organized.
The cashier rung up order and did not take my phone number for my points. I tried to give him my number two times but he kept ringing up my friends other. I asked him why he completed the order without my phone number and he said he didnt think I had a number. I asked if he could give me the credit for the order and he said no. He did not offer any solution. I put the shoes I was going to order back and left.
I gave this location a three stars because when I first walked through the door . The manager did not greet me and hesitated she looked very upset . I couldnt find anyone to help me until I went to the back and located someone . Great Location Near HomeIf your looking for shoe wear look for Sam in the back,She is Great and Very Helpful & Goes Out Of Her Way. She knows the store very well and upon my check out a Guy Named Basil signed me up for rewards and is very knowledgeable and great conversation. & a breath of fresh air and I would definitely come back because of these two employees I gave them a three-star because they were great.If it was possible I would have gave the store a overall 0. so these employees are top notch
This Dicks sporting goods location is easy to get to and easy to leave. I was able to find a nice variety of the items I went shopping for and felt the price seems pretty fair. When it was time to cash out , I was happy with the professional experience from the cashier. I would go back to this location.
Employee had no idea what he was doing, couldnt answer a basic product question. Website shows item in stock, order online and pick up in store. Lies....lol...not instock or available. Im sure Amazon wont waste my time and deliver it to my door. Dont get caught up in saving the brick and mortar stores.....just go to the dark side and support the one who gets the job done....Thanks Amazon.
The sales consultant I spoke to was especially friendly and very helpful. I went into the store looking for spray silicone. The store was out of it but the sales consultant used her cellphone and found out I could purchase it at Wal-Mart. How many salespeople have you came in contact with lately that would go the extra mile for a customer? Wonderful Experience!
Nice variety of products clean well laid out, No service, when we did get help they left before wed made a decision had to walk back to the front of the store to request asst. for the second time, took forever to get there, retrieved the item off the self ourselves using your benches. Not the first time being underserved wont return.
Store was clean, I guess thats where the positives end. I pre-shopped online for a bicycle but couldnt place the order for the color and size combinations i wanted so i had to head to the store just to check them out and pick the ones from which i had narrowed it down to. Well after looking on my own and making it very clear that i needed assistance (i cant just wheel the bike away to the register) for 20 minutes with a bored 1 year old in my arms i gave up and left. Very disappointed after driving 30 minutes but other places sell bicycles too so ill try those stores.
Its a sporting goods place named after a common moniker for the male genitalia where everything costs way too much and the staff looks ready to break out into an impromptu 5K. While very sporty in appearance the staff have a tough time doing things like running a cash register, acknowledging your existence and looking interested in their jobs. I do like looking through their clearance and being able to pay a reasonable price for stuff that was way overpriced in the first place.
Great selection, Customer Service is a 2-3 cuz theres never anyone to help u on the sales floor. U have to walk around the entire store for 15 mins before u find an associate to help u. However most of their products are of good quality. I havent had any complaints about products that ive purchased from there other than that their 200g or higher winter boots are super bulky. Buts thats not their fault its the manufacturer. I guess if u want yur feet warm ull deal with it!!!!
Came to buy some running shoes. Staff was nowhere to be found. Once I found a staff member to assist me, they only gave me one shoe to try on. The staff member kept disappearing, and was never available when I needed assistance. The store was not crowded during this time, I was one of 5 customers in the entire store.
I spent 25 minutes in this store. While searching for a few items I was passed by no more than 10 employees. Not one single one greeted me or ask me if they could help in any way. Frustrated I headed to the front door to exit the building. I was finally greeted with have a nice day. As I was about to respond to the young woman under her breath she said oh why thank you ,you too. Will never go back...
Went in to buy some soccer cleats. The shoe sizes were arranged in no discernible order, it was obvious the area hadnt been maintained/organized in some time. Also, they had limited stock of more common shoe sizes, which further limited my options. There was minimal help around. I found someone and asked for some help finding Nike quarter length socks and she looked bothered to have to deal with me and pointed me off in some general direction. Never did find what i was looking for. Went to check out and realized after i left the store that one of the coupons wasnt scanned properly, which caused me to be overcharged. Overall, just not a pleasant experience...
I came to Dicks after having a dismal experience at Dunhams. Dunhams was dingy, poorly designed shopping space and employees who stood around talking instead of helping customers. Dicks was delightfully the opposite! Bright, clean and well laid out, I had a floor person ask me if I needed help within a minute of entering the store. The gentleman led me to the item I was looking for, and even gave me a little info on the different brands. Stellar shopping experience.
Horrible, they shouldnt have things on display if they dont carry it in the store. I asked someone to help in the workout section, they told me they were gonna send someone. After exactly 25 min of waiting, someone came to tell me that they dont have the power tower inside. Complete waste of time. Now Im just ordering it on Amazon
Went to get 5 irons re-gripped and buy a new putter; the guy told me he didnt have time to re-grip more than 3, the price he quoted me was $7 each. When i went to pay for it they added a $3 service charge per club!! It took the guy about 5 - 7mn to complete the 3 clubs... i was the only customer in the store, he was lazy, not helpful at all and lacked basic communication skills. Needless to say, i did not buy a new putter nor will i return there for my golfing needs.
Salesperson, Scott, was very helpful & polite. The 4 stars are for him. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is your cashier Kristina. She was dry enough to be a part of the desert. Everyone has bad days, but you dont have to share them with / on customers. We are your paycheck.
Needed to buy two bikes today. Waited and waited. Finally someone acknowledged me and said someone would right over. Told her I needed to buy two bikes today. On his way over, someone got his attention first and they talked about a $20 product for 20 more minutes while he ignored me. Well, I had enough and just went to another sporting goods place down the street and spent over a $1000 on two bicycles. Wont be back to dicks anytime soon!
Went there with my daughter and God daughter on my daughter birthday upon entry Sarah and Jesse were standing at the doors (i later found out) they did not greet us, so we went on to shop and found a coat within10 minutes without assistance from anyone, went to get in line and im just standing there so i asked was she ready(sarah) she responded with yeah i guess, i said its either yes or no and she said yeah i guess again, rung my item up put the receipt in the bag and walked off, by that time i requested for a manager and BOOM its jesse😐, i explained to him how im a paying customer and what did i do to deserve such nasty service, he looked me in my eyes and said what do you want me to do about it?..i asked for corporate number and he wrote it down and walked off, never have i experienced this type of treatment ..stay away
What a great place to shop, this is why....as soon as I walked into the store their was a woman to greet me in take me right where I needed to go, if she wasnt there it would have took me awhile to find what I was looking for then more time to find someone to help me. So she saved me so much time I was in and out in 5 minutes an if you been you know its a big place but anyway you should shop here.
Went there a few months ago and couldnt find anyone that worked there to help me find what I was looking for. Needed new boots so figured Id give them another try, since I was at joanns anyway. DO ALL THE EMPLOYEES HIDE WHEN CUSTOMERS ARE INSIDE? The array of boots is laughable at best, for womens shoes at least. Found a pair that was ok, (ended up going with boys shoes because they had nothing in my size in womens or mens, seriously the smallest mens shoe was 8.5) thankfully on sale or I would have just went else where. Even at check out the guy seemed annoyed that I spotted him and had him trapped at the register trying to force him to accept my cash for goods. Will not be going back.
Unfriendly worker that ignored us (African-American) until she helped all of the Caucasian customers. By the time she asked us if we needed any assistance I was totally upset & told her no. Talked to the manager who assured me that he would address it with her. Dont know if he did or not, but I wont be back.
DO NOT FILL CO2 HERE. i took 4 tanks in and handed them to one of the employees, it took him way longer than usual to fill and when he came out 2 tanks were frosty on the outside and you could hear ice inside and he said he could not fill them. Not such a big deal, we then went to dunhams and the manager told us that all 4 fill nipples on the tanks were bent and could no longer be used to fill. We went back to dicks and told the manager but he kept insisting that they were messed up before we brought them in, even when we told him we only used them one time and they worked flawlessly. After about an hour the manager refunded one tank ($33) and said its all he would do, so basically im out $99 (3 tanks) and even corporate has failed to act.
I had two antique reels from the 1950s ( made in the USA) from my parents that needed respooling...they were unable to machine spool them..the gentleman at the gun counter unspooled and respooled them by hand...not an easy task,but he patiently did it for me, without attitude.
Poor costed service went them to get swim shorts . Groups employees standing around no one offer to help nor said a word I had go get cashier to help me . She tried . After askin and employee who was standing talking to another .. never go back to this one always drive out my way to novi I live in Redford .
Horrible is what I describe as my experince. The moment I walked in there guys up front greeting you with hello in the back were the kayaks were a group of girls standing around had to yell two times at them the one girl looked at me like she was deaf so I started to sign at her the third time and that got her possies attention. Took another five mintues for one of the guys up front to come back and get the kayak I bought but then I bought the car mount package and he said oh you need these straps wich I didnt need idiots watch out for this place

2022-01-30My niece complained about feet pain I knew Brooks would be her best bet they run a little small. I was able to get her Wide in 6.5 size. Alex was very helpful he was busy helping so many people at that time. I was willing to wait he came quickly and helped narrow it down to 2 pairs in a short time. We were in and out in ten minutes.

2021-12-20This place, has great quality items in stock, quality products that are favorites of sports fans and people apart of a team, or simply wishing to buy a quality product for a hobby. I will say the do NOT sell firearms anymore. No location does to my knowledge at least in Livonia. They removed it, and moved their fishing section over to that area, making it a tad bigger. They also dont sell ammunition. Hunting clothing on another hand, still sells in season only.I give this store 3 stars, for one reason in particular. Its a trade off, of quality and price. This chain isnt at all the cheapest out there, but the quality and name brands they carry make it worth while. While other stores and chains carry more cost efficient brands and products. Great store great team

2021-12-22This store has a tons of sports gear for most common activities and some uncommon ones as well.The store was very clean and had a different layout then last time I was in. Everything was well stocked and had a good selection, good store to check if youre looking for sports equipment.

2021-12-18Good Morning. Today was my first time shopping in here. I was trying to buy my ex husband a present for Christmas. The gentleman that helped me find the fishing rodes was amazing. The gentleman who helped me pick out a rode was amazing,But the guy at the registered was soooooo unprofessional. I asked him about the coupons, policies with the store..he could not answer one questions. He was really acted like he did not want to help me. Then he answered the phone and started helping the customer on the line. Its Christmas season. I will never come back to this store again. I really want to return this rode and take my money else where.Please train your staff. He even told me I had to scan my own rode😳. What did you say? You need the price right? No Im buying the rode, dont you scan it it so I can buy it.First impression last a lifetime.

2021-09-12I will definitely be coming back. I came in to get fishing gear for me and my son, mind you I havent been fishing for 10 years, so I dont fully remember what all I need. The staff there was kind, courteous, and above all patient! The one staff member stayed with us until we got everything we needed, even running price checks for me because his scanner was out of battery power. Dude thank you for making this such a great experience, I will be back!
