THEY DO NOT HONOR THIER WARRANTY!Bought a set of General grabbers per the salesman recommended in December 2020 instead of the lower priced tires I had bought online. Since then Ive had nothing but trouble with them. I had 2 of them replaced at my cost at the dealer because they said they where bad in January of 2022. Now the last 2 started making noise like a wheel bearing was going bad. Went into Discount to see whats going on they said it was uneven wear but wouldnt cover it under warranty? and said it looked like they where never rotated....which they where rotated the dealership when the other two where replaced. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE WHERE THEY HONOR THIER WARRANTY AND DONT GiVE YOU THE RUN AROUND!
Professional and friendly staff! Came in for a slow air leak on my sons car. Tire was repaired at NO CHARGE. Theyve earned a new customer! Thanks Discount Tire! 💯UPDATE: Because of the great customer service from months ago, I gave Discount Tire my business and purchased 4 Michelin Defender tires for my 2010 Equinox. When you arrive for your appointment, they actually have a sign with your last name on it in front of an empty bay like youre a VIP! The appointment was quick......4 brand new tires, balancing, etc...and I think they had me out of there in 35 minutes.
There always great here. I made appointment online, I got there they look at tire, found problem, replace tire, and also found out another tire had a problem, and replace that one. Only had to pay for new certificates for the new tires. They have very nice friendly staff .
I just returned home from this discount tire. The young man that waited on me his name was Zachary, and despite it being extremely busy and many folks waiting for their cars to either get done or to be started , he was absolutely amazing. This is the reason that I continue to go to discount tire.

I swear the people that work here are grade A idiots. I was supposed to be out of there with my car serviced after 2 hours but waited about 4 hours until I asked them for my keys so I could leave and go somewhere else to get my service done. If I could give them negative stars I would! They have absolutely no respect for anyones time!
As a rideshare driver I get frequent flat tires--six in the last months. Thats 1 every 3 months. I have been surprised at the last two times I visited Disco Tire, including the one in Lyon Township, because they fixed my tire much faster than the expected time!They FIX tires FREE! That is, if it can be fixed. Some tire breaks cannot be fixed but they do a great job giving you options for replacement tires and they always measure your tread depth and give you good advice on changing and rotating tires if needed.They used to sometimes miss on the inflations, giving uneven inflations around the car. But they inflate them a little over manufacturer suggested pressures, which are set up to make the car more comfortable, not optimum for tire wear and MPG. Ive always had good service and good experiences at Disco.
Very busy store and short on help but worth the wait. The customer service has been great everytime. With michigan roads i have had a bad run with potholes and construction. They were stellar on warranty coverage. No problems what so ever. I dropped my car off got lunch and they had it ready before i finished eating
I bought snow tires last year. First time driving with them. It sounded loud but i just assumed that was normal. Yesterday took my car in to get my regular tires off and the snow tires put on and the mechanic notified me of some irregular waviness to the tires. Went up to discount tire today and explained this and was told that my car caused it. But if i had a problem with my car then why didnt it cause the same problem with my regular tires? He couldnt answer that. Only offered to swap out the worst one. Even though 3/4 tires have the uneven bumpiness. Now i know next time i get tires to ask to see all the tires before they put them on to check for defects. Spent a lot of money. Unless they end up swapping out all of them I dont plan on spending more money with them.
Quality of service here have gone down since i started coming at this chain. I purchased a set of tires here and drove home with one missing locking nuts.When i came back for tire rotations on my appt time I was told that i have missed my appt by an hour and the guy at the front desk had an attitude. I might just go somewhere else next time.
My hubby made an appointment online because if you try calling, the phone wont be answered as he attempted many times. I accompanied him this time and I was super impressed from what I was seeing as I sat in the car while he went to the lobby to check in. This is a busy location, but the staff was so courteous and friendly. One of the things that really got my attention was the female employees that were working hard on those tires!!! I was cheering them on and mentioned to the hubs how I needed to learn to change a tire at my old age😆 (just kidding and my knees dont act right anyway). The new tires were installed in no time and are happy, happy customers. Ikea is right next door so its a win-win😁
I had an appointment last weekend for a minor leak in the front passenger’s side tire of my Buick Enclave 2020. Although I came a little early, they checked-in my car. Mark was very professional, he looked at the tire, there was a nail in the middle of the tire tread, he told me that is repairable, the car was done in an hour, with zero cost. I’d highly recommend this place to everyone!
Terrible operations at this location. They blame the current workforce for their lack of providing a service when really the problem lies in the manager.Switches to appointments only and won’t take walk ins. But when I’ve been trying to call the place for over a week no one wants to answer the phone. I wait in line over 20 minutes watching countless employees walk past ringing phones only to be turned away. Monro Auto Service next door is far more equipped to handle the simple task of changing out a few tires over this fly by night operation.
The pressure in my tires was low due to the weather change. I was amazed that I could drive up and they filled it up for free. To think that I have been paying at other locations and fighting the cold. Also there prices are fair for tires. I will definitely go there again.
At this location you’ll find an honest and hard working team. I’ve used them multiple times and always purchase the tire insurance. They provide truthful feedback and allow you to make an informed decision.You won’t find any pushy sales people here. Keep up the great work!(Grab a Cinnabon at IKEA while you wait!)
I highly recommend this location! My husband called over Labor Day weekend to order new tires for my car and it was such an easy process! They also honored the special pricing even though my specific tires needed to be ordered. Today I went online and it was very easy to schedule my appt to get them installed! When I got there, with all 3 kids in tow lol, they were nothing short of amazing! I’ve worked in retail forever and so I appreciate good customer service, especially these days! The process was super simple and very quick! In and out within 45 minutes and with kids I was extremely happy that I didn’t have to spend hours there! Again, I definitely recommend this location if you want great service with friendly people and quick on point service!!!
Just bought BF Goodrich all-terrain tires for my dually truck we will see how these tires hold up and should I need any return service we will see what type of after service we will get. The price I received on the tires was really good in fact it beat everyone elses price.They will beat anyone elses prices on tires that is listed in the newspaper not just something made up but an honest-to-goodness price match guarantee and they did beat everybody elses prices remember you can barter for tires just keep it within reason.
What a joke. I come into get a a tire fixed under road hazard warranty. They tell me I have to make an appointment for the next day. I come the next day at appointment time. Takes over an hour to even get my car into the shop. What’s the point of even making an appointment?
Brian Grady was my sales person. He was very thorough, helpful courtesy and enthusiastic. He turned a dreadful experience into a great experience by being understanding and sympathetic. He is very mature, kind and intelligent. Brian in my opinion would make a great manager or even district manager if Discount would recognize his potential. Thank you for the great service.
I recently had the pleasure of meeting Tiffany at Discount Tire. A wonderful person who took excellent care of me. I had some rims powder coated, and somewhere in the process, they ruined my center caps. I reached out to DT, and spoke with Tiffany. She was able to find, and order my replacements right away. She was thorough too. She made sure she was ordering the proper replacements, made sure the tires I ordered elsewhere were the right fit, and found the specific lug nuts needed for my wifes car. She was able to get the tires mounted, balanced, and installed while my center caps were being delivered. I was told to expect them to arrive in about a week. They showed up just a few days later, and now the car is complete!To be honest, all of the staff at the Canton location that I had interaction with, were all very nice people. As I was waiting for the work on my car to be completed, I sat back and listened to other customer interactions, and the staff just seems like genuinely good people, trying their best to help everyone they can, as quickly as possible.
Had a van in yesterday for tires. Sean and Tiffany handled the work in the garage. They were spectacular. Fast service. Both were moving fast in the heat. I didn’t get the name of the guy who checked me in but he was equally as good. Very professional all the way around. Thanks
Awesome to deal with. The staff is professional and willing to take care of you.Made an appointment for a tire inspection. They checked me in and found that I had a screw in my tire. They took care of me very quickly and didn’t charge me anything. It’s a free service at discount tire.After the way the staff at this location treated me, when I need new tires it’s the only place I will go
My father and I used to love your company. However, the last two times I came in I had horrible experiences. I had an appointment booked for two weeks and when I came in, it still took them 2 hours to fix a slow leak in my tire. It still leaks. Today, both my boyfriend and I were talked down to by an employee. I know for a fact this employee has several customers complain about him. If I didn’t have a donut on my car and needed service immediately, you would not have got my business. I do not plan on ever getting anything done at your store ever again. I asked again today if I could have my slow leak fixed, and it was not done.Also I would like to add that just because I am a young female does NOT give your worker Steve the right to talk to me like I’m stupid. I will be contacting corporate as well as never returning to your canton store ever again.
I had an appointment today at 1030am to switch out to snow tires. They were busy, but I was checked in promptly, less than 5 minutes. They estimated an hour, and I was out the door in 45 minutes.The best part was seeing how the employees, whether those on the front line or the miracle workers in back, treated every customer that came in: Kind, courteous, educational, and FAST.Even customers coming in that didn’t have an appointment were being fit in as soon as they possibly could. I was so impressed with their service that my wife and I will be buying a set of tires from Caleb when we have the snow tires removed in March.Top notch, you guys!
This is the place to go if you want the BEST customer service.Where do I begin?My customer service rep was Brian and in store was Steve. I actually called Brian up to ask a few questions regarding their online payment system. He answered in a kind and informative manner. He has told me the tires I chose for my Fusion were very popular in the area and should be available by today. (Keep Tire availability in mind). I made my payment, tires arrive and in the same day I was able to walk out with 4 brand new tires before the minor snow storm. My only gripe would be the mix up with one of my lug nuts. But that is a simple fix and the quick service beats all of there competitors by a LANDSLIDE. (No need to name drop those competitors).Definitely would highly recommend this Discount Tire team. Be kind to them and they will be kind to you.Big praise all around.Discount Tire corporation should personally thank the team for their hard work before the New Years holiday.
Great location. I have been going to this location for years. The staff is always friendly. Everyone is taking there part in work. They all seem to work together very well. I have sat back when they have worked on my tires and watched them a few times. The have fun and work hard. The pricing has always been fair.
Brian was incredibly helpful from the moment I walked in. He was attentive, careful, and friendly throughout our entire transaction. When I realized I wouldnt be able to make it back before closing to pick up my vehicle, he went out of his way to make sure my car was serviced in the time I had available. I was in and out in less than 90 minutes. Ive always had positive experiences at Discount Tire, but Brian really went above and beyond. Thank you Brian!
Discount Tire is the place to go. Had a bad experience at Belle Tire last time I bought tires. Purchased tires from Belle Tire online and when I took the car in, they told me that the tires I purchased(made sure they fit my vehicle) actually did not fit my car and had to shell out more money for ones that did fit. Tom at Discount Tire was super friendly and knowledgeable. Tom made me feel really comfortable with my purchase. Great customer service. Will definitely be back for future tire pirchases. So my hubby and I came into this place to get our tires on the truck rotated. Fast friendly service. I especially loved the fact a women rotated our tires. Tiffany I love how professional u are. Great Customer Service! I called because they we all booked online but was able to make a same day appointment. In at 230 out at 330. Matched the 3 new tires to the 1 had to replace yesterday at Walmart because of a blowout. Walmart could take a page from thier customer service book. Tires were at a great price as well!
Not from around the area and my tires went flat at around closing time. The employees were already backed up because they were so busy and were running late. They still helped me out even though they had to stay an extra hour after close. Great shop, very professional.
Ive come to this location a few times over the last few years and always will. Im sitting in the lobby now waiting for a rim to be replaced and every interaction Ive watched has been top notch! Every guy here has greeted customers walking in, shaken hands, had personal discussions rather than rushing through each customer. I never feel taken advantage of or manipulated into getting something done that I dont need.... highly recommend!!
Had bought tires there previously, but none for the vehicle I’m currently driving. It had a slow leak in one of the tires. Went in around 1pm. He took my info, grabbed my keys, and said it’d be taken care of in 45 minutes to an hour. It was taken care of free of charge! I was amazed and didn’t expect it in the slightest. Very friendly and professional service. It was done quickly. I’m impressed and will definitely go back to them in the future.
I ordered rims online & set the appointment to have them installed. My car broke down on the day of the appointment & I called to explain & postpone. My mechanic was closed for the quarantine for one week & Canton Discount Tire sold my rims. OK. I ordered another set & made the appointment. Arrived to find that the rims had not arrived & nobody on staff has the forethought to check the next days installs & call the customer. Its the kind of preplanning a good manager does before the end of the day. No more business from me.
While getting a flat tire sucks, the great service at my Discount Tire made it suck a whole lot less. Stopped by on way home from work, place was crazy busy but Ryan got to me quickly and recommended leaving tire so I wouldnt wait around forever. Got a text my tire was done around 6:30, they close at 6 so somebody worked late to get the job done. I showed up the next morning at 8:00 am to get tire/wheel installed, was on the road by 8:15 including re-training TPMS sensors and putting spare tire away. All for this for No Charge. This type of service is why I buy all my tires at Discount Tire and recommend them to everyone I can.
Went yesterday 6-18-19 . They are very friendly and professional. They were also fast and go above and beyond to make the customers happy. I also came 30 minutes before closing and still received great customer service and they took care of my tire . Will definitely recommend.
My 81 year old father stopped in for a tire rotation and ensure he had proper tire pressure for his upcoming journey to Phoenix for the winter. The twenty something tech said that he needs new tires. Obviously he was coached by management to do so as the tires on the front hav 45% tread left and the back have 65%. A simple rotation is all that was needed. I always have suggested to him and all to go to Discount Tire to get the pressure topped off and/or get a rotation before a long journey. I have purchased tires and wheels from Discount but no longer. This was very shady and preying upon the elderly. We are Detroit. We know cars in and around this SE Michigan and to have a kid suggest tires when they are at 50% is crazy.
Very busy store. I highly recommend an appointment, however I just walked right in and got along well enough. I needed two tires and thought a third one just needed repair, however the technician pointed out that the sidewall was damaged and I would need a new tire rather than a repair. Fair enough. I was told the wait would be 1-1.5 hrs and between that timeframe, my car was indeed serviced and I was driving out shortly after. Sorry to have not gotten his name, but the employee that handled my account was friendly, prompt, and professional. The waiting area is well kept and you can see what all the technicians are doing through glass. Everyone there moves quickly and with purpose, and though this may be just because it was busy, I feel that they adhere to a strong work ethic. It feels like everyone that works there knows exactly what theyre doing. I went in on a Saturday morning with no appointment at 10:45 and left around 2 hrs later, though by that time the wait had grown to around 3 hrs which is why I recommend coming in early and/or with appointment. The only recommendation I have for this place is that it would be nice to have a tv in the waiting area to help pass the time (though they do have a rack of magazines at the ready). I cant give Discount Tire Store any less than five stars; they did a good job and did it quickly with no problems, and they didnt try to up-sell expensive products or services.
I believe I was dealing with someone named Skylar, He was extremely helpful and when presented an opportunity to sell me a rim that I thought I needed, he recommended just repairing the rim on my car for free. Great experience every time I have been here, I ALWAYS appreciate candidness and honesty, and this tire shop is exactly that. I will definitely be back with any tire needs I may have in the future.
Discount Tire is my favorite tire store. I went in to purchase tires, and seeing a line of people, I thought Id be there for hours. But c the line moved quickly and I was surprised how fast I had my tires and was on my way. They were friendly and efficient. Their service is always great at this store. I passed several tire stores, coming from a trip to Detroit, just to go to the Canton location.
I was there picking up tires for my boss. The place was super busy, I was kind of shocked that the guy I talked with at the counter was the guy who brought the tires out to me. Very nice guy. The place was busy and yet they didnt waist your time with words, if they couldnt get something done they would tell you. If they said it was going to be 5 minutes, they didnt take longer than 5 minutes.
I arrived on a Saturday morning just as they opened. There was a line at the door all the way to the curb. I have never seen professionals work so efficiently and cooperatively with one another to get through the line. As I stood there more and more people filtered in. The amount of people they serviced in the time I was there was highly impressive. They were professional, helpful, knowledged, and did a wonderful job servicing my car. No doubt I will be a repeat customer.
Discount Tire always has been and always will be the #1 tire and rim store for my family and I. Always vary friendly staff that is eager to help. Great prices and fast service. Ive never had a problem at any location and I have been to stores all over between Michigan and Tennessee. Highly recommend anyone in the market for rims and/or tires go see these people!!!
Staff is friendly and helpful. Ive been here many times and the only complaint is that sometimes it takes a while to service my car (though theyre often busy, so its understandable).My recommendation: get the tire warranty. Ive had 2 tires replaced using the warranty (both were damaged beyond repair by the roads or by debris), saving me about $100 each time.
Bought new tires and wheels back in March at the Livonia location, hit a pothole in April. Took my car in to get 1 tire and wheel fixed that was under warranty (canton location). Was told that I may need a new wheel from it being slightly bent and may continue to have issues. Was only given a replacement tire. (Paid $17.25).Fast forward to 7/19/19 woke up to a completely flat tire. Had to call a tow company to put on a spare tire which was found to be flat from the canton store not topping off the air in the spare back in April. Took my car in for the 2nd time (canton location) and asked for a replacement tire also mentioning that the wheel may be slightly bent from what the last sales guy stated. Spoke to a sales guy by the name of Ryan, said “We’ll either repair or replace the tire which ever is EASIER for us to do”. Ended up paying another ($17.25) for a supposed replacement tire. Got a receipt showing only a repair was done was also told that there was no bend in the wheel. Drove on the tire with my tire light still on. Looked at my tire and saw bits of white residue from the repair work.Took my car back up to the canton location on 7/20/19 and spoke to Nathan about my tire light still being on and asked why I was given a receipt showing a repair and not a replacement even after paying for a replacement. Nathan then stated that there was nothing wrong with what they initially did and that another tires sensor was the cause. Also stated that they rotated the tires. Nathan continued expressing that they did all the right things but still didn’t solve the problem.I requested that I get a NEW tire and not another repair. He then stated that they had none in stock and that I’d have to go to the Livonia location. Went to the Livonia location. Was told that all issues with the tire and sensor will be resolved and apologized for the run around. Also stated that Nathan wrote a bunch of excuses in my notes (no remedies) stating that there will be no certificates transferred over for the new work being so at the Livonia location. (How unprofessional and vindictive).** DO NOT DEAL WITH RYAN OR NATHAN AT THE CANTON LOCATION ** They do not solve any issues you may have concerning tires. Will only give excuses. It’s seems that they only do what’s EASIER for them. The customer is not in mind. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I will not be going back to the Canton, MI location!
I absolutely Love this place every one is so nice and helpful. I recommend John he is super nice and gave us so much information about our car and what we can do to improve our tires . We had a nail in our tire and they fixed it no coast !! Go here ! Ans ask for John 😁
The line was backed up to the door when I came in, but from start to finish my visit took less than twenty minutes. The staff seemed very knowledgeable and explained things thoroughly, such as the available protection plan. The gentleman who helped me even remembered me from a visit three months prior. I am highly impressed.
I called to make sure I had bought my tires for my vehicle at this location and if I had bought the extra insurance. They representative was very polite and found my file within seconds and asked if I would like to make an appointment. I asked if I could bring it in right away, he said the sooner the better, and I was out the door. I arrive 20 minutes later, got out of my car, and the representative met me at the door by name because he was the representative on the phone and recognized my car as I pulled in. 45 short minutes later my car was done.5 stars is under rating this visit.1. Polite customer service call and throughout the whole process.2. A representative that pays attention and goes the extra step to meet you at the door.3. Very fast and accurate service.4. Service with a smile.I would recommend this store to ANYONE who asked me where to buy tires.
Ive been buying tires at Discount Tire since the 80s. Reasonable price, fast & friendly service has always been my experince. Free flat repairs & rotations. I always purchase the certificates and have needed to use them a time or two. Even a damaged sidewall that cant be repaired gets replaced for free!
I didnt want to wait to get my tire fixed, and I didnt have to. I told them I had a nail in the rear tire, they checked it for leaking air and pulled the nail out. Turned out the nail never went through the tread, and I had no leak ! They checked all my tires and off I went. What a great experience and very friendly, nice people. Thank you !!!!!Renee M.
I called on a Wednesday and ordered rims and winter tiers. They promised me 100 dollar rebate on the wheel package and a 50 dollar rebate if I financed with there store card. They had the tiers in stock and said they had to order the rims. Charged me 25 dollars for shipping. On Thursday they called to tell me that my rims were in and ready so Friday I left work around 2 to go get the work done. When I showed up they told me they new nothing about the 100 dollar rebate and they sold my tiers to somebody else yesterday. After a bit of back and forth I realized they seemed very un coordinated and lost all confidence in there ability to service my vehicle. I got my 25 dollars back, called the novi store and spoke with mike who was very empathetic with the situation. Not only did he give me all the rebates promised. He was pleasant, friendly and I felt like my business mattered to him. He even discounted a more expensive rim to match the price of the one I originally ordered at the other store since he didnt have that one in stock. My opinion. Go see mike in novi.
I love discount tire. I go here for all of my tire needs. Its very helpful having free services. Air checks, tire repairs, tire rotations are free and if you bought your tires there rebalances are free too. Theyre always friendly and willing to help. Fair prices on tires. They even gave me a free lug nut because one of mine was messed up. I will continue to only use discount tire!!
The service staff at this location is quick and seemingly efficient.Customer service could be better. The individual that signed me in was rude and unpleasant. This is also the second time that Ive used this locations services and not received notification that my car was ready after service. I even elected to receive text notifications for ease.That lack of communication is incredibly frustrating.
Been here 3 times for the same problem. Youd think they would take care of me right away but nope. I have people that came in after me and are leaving before me. All they have to do is fix 1 tire. This is unacceptable. As soon as they warranty on these tires is done, Im gone. Learn how to treat your loyal customers instead of working on cars whos owners arent even waiting in the lobby.
Website showed the Canton store had tires for one of my cars in-stock and the tires for my other car nearby. I called the store (took a while for them to answer since theyre busy in early winter) and was told they had to order the second set from Ohio, and they would put the first set on hold. They also didnt set appointments; its first come, first served.Next day got there when they opened, waited for 15-20 min in line, paid for both cars (received a discount on their warranty program), and dropped the first car off. Within an hour I received a text it was done.A day after they were supposed to have the second set delivered I had to call to see if they were in. Stopped in first thing the next morning with the second car. After a 15 min wait in line and half an hour wait in the lobby, the car was done.Overall good experience with a couple hiccups. Will be going back there for my summer tires. Thanks to Anthony and Mark for great customer service.
I went in 01/24/2019 for new tires. I knew there would be a line and accepted that. Skylar greeted me and I told him why I was there. He checked the thickness and said, “Yeah you need new tires.” He was casual and professional about it and got me situated. He said about 60-90 minutes. I knew it would take that amount of time and went inside IKEA (what a brilliant way to pass the time and eat Swedish meatballs).I got the phone call from Michael saying my car was ready. I returned and Skylar got my case concluded. Both were cool dudes and should be acknowledged.
We went here the first time when we had a flat and they fixed it for free. We came back over the winter for a set of snow tires and rims and they had a great price compared to costco and tire rack. We will definitly be going back, and the only minor complaint is long wait times depending on the day.
Took my car to Discount tire back in April of 2018 to balance my 4 wheels. Just rotated my tires 8/13/18 and noticed a vibration from the front of my car. Took the car back to discount tire to use my lifetime balance warranty on 8/17/18. They didn’t honor their warranty and said my tires are too old. Funny 4 months ago they had no problem taking my money to balance them now all of a sudden they are too old. Spoke with the manager Keith he said it was a safety issue. Why wasn’t it a safety issue in April when money was exchanging hands. Buyer beware. They make every excuse not to honor there warranty. Lost a good customer.
Bad experience. Dropped my car off on Saturday and had an appt for 12:30 to get new tires. Was told that my car would be done in less than 2 hours and would get a call or text.Never received a call or text, then the building was closed all day Sunday. Came back Monday to evening to get my car (after having to uber everywhere) and the tire light is on and my car is back inside the work garage. After 3,000 miles, I noticed that my Discount Tire store in Texas had installed the wrong front tires. I called the Canton store and they took care of getting the correct tires from the Texas store and returning the incorrect ones. I also asked if they would give me a deal on a set of rears and they did, so I got all 4 correct tires for the price of 2 at a discount. Great deal, great service.
Seems like they need to work on customer service. If you dont know something look it up before you tell your customer its not done. When you were called the night before stating it was. Warrenties require disposal fee, even if your willing to dispose yourself. Need to reword that fee for common sense. Husband told them its good thing you didnt give the tire back cause I would have put it thru your window like the past commerical says to do. 🤣 🤣 🤣
Is it possible to leave negative stars? Worst experience ever, I gave the guy 3 or 4 chances to stop telling me that i needed 2 new new tires. I didnt care if i needed new tires i just lost my job and all i wanted is a rotation and balance which they are supposed to do since i bought the tires from them less than a year ago. The front tires are low but they are above the wear bar and i couldnt afford new or used tires. I explained all this to him in a calm manner and he said (in a very condescending tone) Sir, youre not listening to me. I CANT DO THIS! I got frustrated, the manager came out and MORE bickering ensued. We went from you need 2 tires to 1 tire. My college years left me with 5 years experience driving on COMPLETELY BALD tires and i know where i want the tires with the most tread (based on my own driving style and preferences). All Discount Tire wanted to do is sell me tires so i went to Belle and they told me i had about 1500 miles and that i shouldnt rotate but they would balance them. I explained my situation and they agreed that i should rotate so they did it for free! Belle Tire will be selling me 3 sets of tires in the next 1 to 3 months!
Picked up a nail in RH rear tire on I 275 yesterday. Stopped at the Canton location at a fairly busy time of day. The team there was able to get me back on the road in less than 30 minutes. Much appreciated. Would like to recognize and thank the Discount tire team for their efforts!
Ive been very happy with every other discount tire Ive been to, but this one repeatedly lied to me. A 3 hour estimate ended up taking 7 hours. When I asked about it after 3.5 hours they told me I was next in line. I then watched 7 more cars go in before mine before I could get someone to talk to me again. When they finally got my car in they managed to destroy a wheel stud which they couldnt fix, so I had to go to another place adding another 2 hours to this ordeal.
I popped a tire on a Michigan pothole and got my car towed to this discount tire.It got there right at closing time so I had to leave it over night.The next day, they contacted me to go over the details of what needed to be done. I needed to have all the tires replaced since each were pretty worn and it is an AWD car.Nathan spent a considerable amount of time tracking down the tires I needed so I could have my car done that day. He, as well as the rest of his team went above and beyond to provide excellent, timely service.I also recommend anyone in Michigan to get the tire protection plan. That extra up front cost has saved me hundreds.
The staff here has taken great care of my tires from free air pressure checks, to keep my gas mileage in line, to replacing tires when necessary with quick, friendly service. I appreciate that they take the time to help me decide which tires are best and safest for my car, and they work within my budget.
One star even gives too much credit. I went to this location to get my tire patched. I was told that they couldn’t put my spare on but would not give a reason why and then refused to fix my tire because there was apparently a recall on my wheel. Come to find out there was no recalls, open or closed, on my vehicle. Even the attitudes of her technicians were unprofessional. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere but here.
Awesome!! These guys really know their stuff! Plus the mechanic who delivered my completed car to me was actually able to re-set the warning lights on my dashboard; he knew how to put them back ro Default mode like the dealerahip does it. Other mechanics at other shops have not been able to understand how to do this. Kudos Discount Tires of Canton👌👌👌👍👍
Mr Pacheco did an outstanding job this morning, which was actually a return call from last night. He as well as the rest of the staff, took care of the very large number of customers, very rapidly and were very courteous even when customers were being impatient. I will recommend mr. Pacheco and the store to all of my friends and work associates. Thank you for a good start to my day
Ive always gotten tire work done on all my vehicles here since Ive lived in Canton. In general, theyve been a decent place, but my last experience here really soured my opinion.My car became a victim of Michigan roads, and one of my tires developed an impact bulge from a pothole or two. I knew Id need a new tire eventually, and of course since I dont rotate my own tires no place will rotate them for me unless I get this one replaced. So eventually I had to bite the bullet and get two new tires (you need to replace 2 tires on a 2WD car).The salesman suggested a few things that I felt were really underhanded. First, he recommended a no name brand that cost almost as much as a brand name tire. I told him no and that I wanted another selection, eventually going with Yokohama. No doubt they are told to pitch the highest margin tires to customers. The second strike was when he told me Discount Tire recommends that I put the new tires on the BACK of my Honda Civic. What?! So you want me to put my OLD tires on the drive wheels (my car is front wheel drive) so they wear out fast and I have to replace them quickly? What kind of sense does that make? Plus, then I get the ride and grip of my old tires rather than my new tires. Imagine how many unsuspecting people with no knowledge of cars just agree?After I told him no way, and that I wanted my new tires on the front, he nodded and whispered to me yeah I would do the same. Seriously? What is this place trying to do?Lastly, after I drove away with the new tires on, my TPMS light came on. I drove back and they kind of chuckled to each other, saying oh, itll just go off on its own. We cant really do anything about it. I stood there dumbfounded they couldnt tell me more, and the guy decided to look it up in his computer, which told him the wrong info. They reiterated that it would go off on its own, and that they couldnt do anything about it. Well you could warn your customers that this could happen as a good first step! I went home and looked it up online myself to find out how to do it, turns out I needed to use my .So yeah, something felt off this time around. I didnt feel like a valued customer, I felt like I was just a source of money for them. And it showed.
The manager left my wife stranded with a screw in her tire. She had called and was told as they would repair her tire after removing the screw but once she got there the manager had a different idea. I will never return to discount tire and I will encourage others to stay away.
HORRIBLE PLACE. Took my car in because my tire was going low and when I got it back the rim was all scratched up. The manager Keith said tires NEVER touch anything that could scratch the rims. But while dropping off the car we saw them pull tires off and hit the concrete floor. WILL NEVER GO BACK. There is a reason why they call it DISCOUNT.
I went in to switch rims and get rotation and balancing done . Fist of, They damaged all four of my new black rims. Second they didnt even balance them. I had to come back again to get that done. Third, they didnt even do the rotation! i mean come on how hard is that? The guy who was on my car had no idea what he was doing. I made them order me new rims. Most of their technicians are inexperienced and the wait is agonizing... i can do a better job myself if i had the tools to do it. So thats my story. A few months after this incident, discount tire put wider tires on my buddys car and he didnt know about this for a while till some mechanic told him so he went back to switch it and they told him that they will give him the right size tires the next day NO CHARGE. He came back next day to get them and they said he had to pay additional $300. To sum it up, we made 4 trips in one day to Discount...we fought with the manager and we made him put it on for free. He said since your tires were aftermarket, you have to come back four to five times a day because you have to keep balancing them... W-T-F?????????????????????????????
My husband, dog Darko, and I were literally 2 minutes from our destination, per GPSs assurances, and quickly stopped at a gas station as my bladder felt near the line of singularity where very bad things were about to happen. After the train crossing delay, the mad traffic and construction the way Detroit delivers it, and copious amounts of coffee, the one unisex offering was of course occupied.Crisis resolved, dog let out, back to business at hand and what could it be?? A giant industrial screw lodged in our tire, hissing its threat to drop us in the clusterfudge of metro post work traffic!!We found a competitor, blessedly, or so we thought, who turned us away like a birth of Jesus story. Utter panic and panic attack struck. They said soonest would be tomorrow!!I called Discount and spoke to a tire shop angel named Tyler and he said come right over! He honestly saved us, and though the tire wasnt salvageable, hooked us up as well.Thanks Tyler!! You truly rock.
I have been coming to Discount Tire in Ypsilanti for almost 5 years now, and never experienced anything like this before. brought my brother-in-laws wifes car in to get two new tires at their Canton location. Not only when I was dropping the car of did the reach roll his eyes at me for not taking his advice to replace all four tires at once but also did not like the fact I was trying to buy cheaper tires then he recommended. If that was not bad enough. The told me the would move the 2 newest tires to the front of the car but also would put the spare underneath the car. None of witch happened. Now I have to take this car to the ypsi location to have the work finished correctly. The workers at this location are sub par stay away!
I wouldnt go anywhere else for tires. I live in Milan and drive to Canton to get my tires taken care of. I personally know the owner and he truly cares about your well being, and the product you are buying. The salesman up front always take good care of me. The gentleman Andrew that actually fixed my tire was extremely nice, and checked on me multiple times to tell me that my tire was fixable, and literally RAN acroos thr parking lot to get my car.
Tire Mounting Service Fee = $240?!?!I came in today on the 9th of Dec 2017 in order to get 4 winter tires mounted (size: 235/55/19) and was confronted with shocking, extremely high prices:$20 tire removal from wheel$20 putting new tire onto wheel$20 for disposal of old tire.Makes $ 60.00 per wheel!This is a massive $240.00 to get 4 tires installed on my car.First reaction was, that this could only be a sick joke - mentioning that I have had the same service rendered exactly 3 years ago at this location: back then, I was charged $16.00 installation + $4.00 disposal fee per tire = $20, respectively $80.00 for 4 wheels!Not necessary to mentioned that they wont see me again. Ever.Silver-lining: within 50 feet radius of this Discount Tire location, there is car service center. I walked right in and it turned out that they do the same job (4x tire installation & disposal of old tires) for $90 instead of $240. Sure enough that they have earned my business instead.
My experience at Discount Tire in Canton Mi. on Ford road has not been good. It seems that the add on tv does not include them. I purchased a set of tires there . I did not like the way that the truck handle with the new tires. When I would go around a curve it felt like something was broken in the suspension.They would not take the tires back. I purchase a set of aluminum wheels there about two years that would not stay on the vehicle. They were new China junk. What I am saying is the lug nuts were a bad design. They would loosen up after a few miles. Discount tire is in to me for about $1200.00 . They wont get any more money from me! Billy was the one that I was working with. He was no help at all.
Called for an appointment for a tire change, brought my car in and they lost my tire lock and blamed me, until admiting that a coworker lost it and is at lunch. So they gave me a basic pair of tire locks , not my nice ones I had. Now I have to wait for new locks to come in four days from now.
Extremely busy location. Usually you have to be here for a min of 1.5 hours for a rotation. Also location is on a extremely busy street so getting in or turn left out of it is hard. Wish there was a back entrance from ikea. However I was able to look up tires on tire rack and get them purchased through discount tire at same price.
Tom the salesperson was truly amazing...He inspected with myself the tires and went over ALL MY OPTIONS... And I really mean ALL MY OPTIONS...He listened to what I had to say and made a couple of suggestions, then showed me around the different looks and sizes of tires...He offered me the protection plan which I happily bought on all four new tiresHe explained to the workers all of my concerns and helped me decide which was best based on my needs and budget...He just plain ole... was a decent human being willing to go the extra distance to ensure my satisfaction...And I might add... that you dont find this type of person very often...I had 3 Discount Tire locations to choose from which were all within a mile or 2 different directions from where I started off... My daughter took her car in for a complimentary tire pressure check as the weather had turned cold. They told her that the right front tire was too low to pump up.They then told her that her rim was cracked and needed to be replaced. ($210). Also part had to be ordered and wouldnt be available until Monday, 3 days away. She asked them to put on her emergency spare tire. They refused to do so because the spare was more than 10 years old (2006 model car) we inspected the car. Right front tire was inflated. Did not appear that any inspection was made on the spare tire due to the trunk contents being virtually un disturbed . She asked for her keys and drove off. She has 3 children and this car is her only means of transportation. October 11,2018David Hurst.......
The staff is friendly and the prices are a little high for a place called Discount Tire. My problem isnt with the tires or the prices though. Its with the fact that out of 2 times I have taken my car in for service where I let them install the tires, 2 times they manages to cross-thread my studs. The first time, I literally had to snap off 8 studs and press new ones in. The second time, the guy said it was cross threaded while he was taking it off, which is funny because I told him to just leave the tire on and mark the stud for me and he agreed. When they pulled the car out of the garage, the stud was marked but it was a different lug than the other 4 I had on the wheel. No offer to fix it, not even an apology. Last time I do business with these guys. If you are planning to take your car in for service here, be prepared to replace the studs in your wheels.
Disappointed with the sly marketing tactics that the sales people use at the stores. I got sucked into buying 2 different sets of tires for my work van. let me unpack the situation, it was last fall and I had worn out tires on the van. I was told that they had a good deal on snow tires for the up coming winter and they would store them for me after winter when I buy the spring/summer/fall tires in March. Well low and behold I buy the new non winter tires and schedule them to be put on, and now all of a sudden theres a hidden 70.00 charge for the storage that was never discussed during the purchase of the winter tires. Discount Tire should be ashamed at this bait and switch scheme. Guess I will be buying from Belle Tire from now on! BTW Ive been a loyal Discount Tire customer for over 20 years.
They put one of my tires on backwards and when they went to fix it they broke a lug that I had to fix because they claimed it was tightened incorrectly following brake work I had done in between the time. I highly doubt they didnt just try to machine the lugnut and in their haste it broke. I could have easily gotten that nut off.
Brought my car in to have two tires looked at Nathan had totally pissed 😤 off the guy ahead of me because he was told one thing about 4tires he purchased and Nathan told him that they don’t have those tires to fit his car... without even checking 🤨 Nathan needs More Training in customer service!!!!!! I just watched him clearly blow off a customer without even checking the vehicle....Wow...!!!! I see why Belle Tire is getting so busy
Tried ordering tires today online and their payment system was apparently down they said call the store I called the store to order and they said they cant take orders over the phone and that I need to come in to order. I drove up there and sat in the parking lot for 40 minutes without being helped. Ive done a lot of business here in the past and something has changed, service is not like it used to be. Sad.

2022-03-15I went in to get the tires rotated, balanced, etc. on a Tuesday morning at approximately 10:00 A.M. I had to wait in line to be seen, for about 25-30 minutes just, just to get the car checked in. The (2) employees checking in customers also answered incoming calls ahead of the customers standing in line... I was the 3rd rd. person waiting in line and the calls, which rang non-stop, took precedent over the people who came into the business to have work performed. Once checked in, it took about 3-4 minutes per person to get checked in. So you see, its easy to see that there needs to be something done regarding the blanton disregard for in person paying customers. Anyway, it took 10 minutes for my vehicle to get into the garage 20-25 minutes later the vehicles tires were balanced rotated, and I was on my way.... I might find another location unfortunately but discount tire still has the good tires at good prices, etc.... Im still planning on buying from Discount Tire but probably wont go back to this location.

2022-06-28I was GREAT at the start. I called ahead, drove 30 plus minutes and I arrive. Long story short need tires. Get them, they bring me my car Im all set I leave. Oh but guess what. They never put the tire key back in my car. I had to drive all the way back and when I asked where it was no one knew. I went to my car waited and a gentleman comes and says here you go and walks away. No apology, nothing. I dont get it. Not the fact the gas is a billion dollars, but I paid for a service and a mistake was made and no one could utter the words... Im sorry.

2022-02-15They are crazy busy, but Tommy and Dan who answer the phone are Grade-A pros when it comes to customer service. The service techs are also very friendly. I thought they treated my Audi R8 with extra care, but they treat my Honda Accord the same; with the utmost care and attention to detail. I just went way out of my way to have my Honda towed here for the 4th tire in two days from Michigan pot holes!

2022-05-17I went to have a tire repaired. Got there at 8 am so they did get me in and out quite fast. The problem was I clearly saw a nail in my tire, however, I was told that the tire could not be repaired because it was repaired once before in the exact same spot. What happened to the nail that was in the tire? No clue. They had me over a barrel and I had to buy a replacement tire. Kind of felt scammed. Never see me in Discount tire again. again.

2022-05-12AVOID THIS PLACE I went to get a new set of rims put on and told them I wanted the old rims in the boxes from the new rims, to make taking them home easier. I went to pick the car up and left without realizing I forgot the old set of rims. Thankfully I remembered that I forgot them, and picked them up. A call to let me know they were still there would’ve been nice, were they just planning on keeping them….? My TPMS light was also on after the work, I got told that “if I drive it for 10 minutes it’ll go off.” It did not. Definitely seemed like an excuse just to get me to leave.

2022-07-06Todd was a huge help today. I came in with a desperate need for tires but I could only afford 2, with concern for safety of not only myself but also my family he explained to me why I needed 4 and offered to sign me up for their discount tire card. I was reluctant at first but to my surprise my husband and I were approved and we walked out of there with 4 brand new tires and even spent less money than what we would have originally if I had only bought 2. Thank you so much again Todd.

2022-03-26GO TO DEARBORN LOCATION ON FORD ROAD.I came in because I had a flat tire. I had purchased 4 new tires in September of last year, from this company just a different location. I was coming in just for a tire repair which would be free under the warranty. This location calls me, and says your tread on the front tires are too low you need to get new tires they are unserviceable (they were at 4/32, which is low but not unserviceable). I answer with the question well would low tread cause my front driver-side tire to go flat?. The rep answers No, tread wouldnt cause the tire to go flat (no kidding lol). I ask him what he was calling me about, because thats why I came to the store. He said oh we spun it and saw nothing (no nails, screws, etc). I said well can you kindly look again sir? (not exaggerating, I was being patient). He says sure thing, comes back from the hold and says yep, theres a nail in it, but we cant repair it, its unserviceable. I ask about the road hazard policy and if that would be covered (which it should have). He says oh its in a place where it isnt considered unsafe, so no its not covered by road hazard(since when is a nail in a tire NOT unsafe?). So they were trying to corner me into a position that was where I had to buy new tires (aka upselling). I went down the next closest location (Dearborn, Ford Rd) where they were skilled and competent enough to complete the repair. This entire encounter was very shady and riddled with um can I put you on hold, Im not sure and long silences because they did not know the actual answer. It was also baffling to me that they did not even know that I had a nail in my tire when they first called. The only thing that was on their mind was not allowing any type of customer service and only making the sale on new tires. The ONLY positive experience I had was when I was dealing with the first person named Zach. He helped me look up my previous purchase and what the warranty was remaining on the tires when I first came to this location. That would be the only reason I would be okay with putting any stars on this review.
