Comment: Booked thru Priceline and the vehicle wasn’t available, a courtesy call would have been the proper Customer service experience, but did not receive anything. Person at the counter should have shown more empathy about the issue instead of whining to the customer how Priceline could have booked me a rental. Unprofessional when counter clerk offered me a different rental company to satisfy my need. Dollar needs to train the basics of customer relations to their employees

Comment: I apologize there are no possibilities to pick zero stars. This company deserve a zero, instead 1 star. We rented a Van to go 6 people on August 14th . I have to pick it up at 8.30am. When we arrived, the young lady in the front desk only says Im sorry, we dont have the Van, we can offer you something smaller No Vans in backup, no solutions, no experience in someone in the front desk, neither help to process the Insurance money back, already paid. They dont mind about you or your travel plans....PLEASE, DONT GO WITH THEM!! They are the worst in Ant. Valley !

The woman who runs it never picks up the phone or calls you back, and goes to lunch at odd times without any indication of when she will be back. Dont waste your time. Dollar itself is terrible and not worth your time, but if youre going to go with it, do NOT use this location.

July 25 2020 I landed in Little rock Ark. went to the dollar counter as I had pre paid for my car. No one was there all the lights were out and the sign said closed because no Service . this was between 11;30 and 12:00 noon. No one called, or text. or E-mailed me. left me standing there with my daughter and 3 grandchildren. so I had to rent another car and pay for it to!! I still dont have any idea how to get my money back!!!!! Lorrie

Comment: I shopped around online for the lowest price, as Im certain the average person does when planning a trip. I was pleased to find Dollar Car Rental on the low end and decided to book a car. Upon making the agreement and submitting a deposit of $234.77 the email invoice I recieved stated I would be paying an estimated $113.79 in additional charges upon pick up, bringing the total of approximate charges to $348.56. In the end the actual total charge is $704.13. I was absolutely tricked and lied to, the man who checked us in on the pick up day even lied about the current local gas prices in order to get even more money than agreed upon. I am very angry and I find it a very poor business practice to bait and switch your patrons in this manner. It is very disrespectful and manipulative to treat honest paying customers of your company like this. I will take a city bus before I ever use your services or sister companies again. $300 to $400 off the actual cost of services is not an approximation it is a trick. NOT HAPPY. I will be leaving this same review for others to see and hopefully save someone from being swindled as I was. Had I been told from the beginning the truth I would have had no reason to be this dissatisfied.Edit 11/15/19I was contacted by phone and email by someone from the company.Dear Valued Customer,Thank you for completing the survey regarding your recent rental with Dollar.On behalf of our entire team, I would like to apologize for not exceeding your expectations. In the voicemail John Brooks left he offered to explain to me the charges and wanted to know about my experience when I picked up the vehicle. This was my reply.I listened to your voicemail, I dont need to have the charges explained to me further. I can see on the receipt how the charges are broken down on the itemized list. My issue is being told something costs X amount of dollars and in the end being charged almost $400 more than what I was originally told. As I mentioned in my feedback my definition of an approximation and the companys are obviously different. I know things cost money, when Im told what I owe for a service Im voluntarily patronizing it would seem to me a common courtesy of the recipient of my business, that they be upfront with me about the costs of said service. If I paid $700 then I should have been told my bill was going to be $700. When picking up the vehicle I was told that no gas station in the 10 mile radius of acceptable filling stations were as low as the price offered through the company fueling program and as soon as I drove out of the parking structure I saw myself that mostly every advertised gas price nearby was below what had just been communicated to me. My goal is not to rake any individual over the coals, however I do find the companys practice of purposeful manipulation and inflation of the final and total cost of the rental car to be very poor and unprofessional. If the actual price had been communicated to me in the beginning I may have continued to shop around, and obviously thats not what a business wants and so it seems purposefully deceptive. People should have the opportunity to decide with accurate information where they spend, and how much they spend. The quoted estimation at the time of booking did not reflect something close to the final cost. Plain and simple. Its the only reason were even talking now and the only reason why I am so dissatisfied.

Comment: Horrible experience. Awful customer service. They refused to rent a car to us because we didnt have a California driver’s license. We explained to Erin Salinas, at the front desk, that we were tourists from another state and in the rental agreement it only said “valid driver’s license”, but this was in vain. He only said that Camacho owned this Dollar agency and they only accepted California driver’s license. We requested taking to a manager, but Mr. Salinas didn’t even know the name of his manager! He wrote a telephone number to call the manager on a piece of paper and when we call from our cell phone, the phone at the front desk started ringing! Seeing we were going nowhere, we decided to cancel the rental and we left. Please AVOID this company if you want a good service. This franchise is NOT professional at all.

Comment: Bad experience. We reserved a Chevy impala. We reserved a midsized are. Not available.The first car we got, a Nissan sentra had a transmission that was going out. The transmission was slipping. Returned this car.The next car was a Dodge avenger. Smelled like cigarettes really really bad. They had no other vehicles available.... Hard to believe as this agency is in a car dealership. The tires shake really bad and the brakes make noise. The tank of gas was half full.Our family was squished in the back. We could not fit our Tias walker in the trunk.So, disappointed. Lets hope we make it home as we are Still in Las Vegas at the moment.Bad experience. Returned the car and the agent offered a 20.00 discount. Then instead of issuing a refund of the deposit she double charged the card.Heed this warning. Avoid this Camacho owned rental agency.

First of all I want to commend Mr. Ayala on the best customer service I have had in a very long time. He is highly professional and always treated me with a pleasant attitude and eager to meet my needs. I want to say that he is a great asset to your company because of his wonderful customer service skills. He is a bright young man with a promising future. I wish that everyone was as professional as him. Out of a 5 star rating I give your Palmdale CA location a 20.
