Comment: This is by far the WORST Hilton I have ever stayed at. They should be ashamed to have their name associated with this hotel! This place was so disgusting - the entire hotel smelled like marijuana, when we arrived there was someone sleeping outside on a bench who then proceeded to just walk into the hotel and get on the elevator and no one there said a word ?!?, the inside of the elevators are covered in graffiti and gang signs on the doors, and the rooms were DISGUSTING, there was what I assume was blood ON THE CEILING, the room itself looked like it had never been cleaned, the sheets were dirty, carpet was filthy, every surface looked like it hadn’t been wiped and the bathroom was horrendous. AND THIS HOTEL HAS THE AUDACITY TO CHARGE $200 A NIGHT !!!! I might as well of stayed at a motel 6 !!!

Comment: Stayed here last year and it wasnt bad, this year quality has definitely gone waaay down. I gave the room 2 stars because housekeeping did well cleaning, but the back of remote is missing making TV hard to keep on a channel, the box spring is completely collapsed on one side so when we get in bed you roll down to that side, mattress is old! Walking in the parking lot (they charge $15 for when its not even secure) is littered with garbage because all pails are overflowing so much. The restaurant wasnt accessible to us because of some event. Elevators are gross with carved in graffiti inside. Its hard to believe this is an embassy at all.

Comment: This is by far the worst Hilton. The customer service is lacking at the front desk. Our room was never cleaned unless we requested it- we were here for over a week. The carpet had stains and the light fixtures and tables were covered in dust despite having the room cleaned. Trash and dirty towels were left in the hallways for more than 12 hours.The shower leaks onto the bathroom floor.We are Hilton Honors Gold members are were not provided the standard food credits or upgrades other locations offer.Hilton has two rows of reserved parking, but the rest of the lot without the “Hilton/hotel” sign is free.

Comment: The room was alright, the bathroom had a weird smell and the room was very loud as its right next to the 5. We were also woken up by a marching band early on the weekend. Ended up having to pay for parking per night ($15) and was only told after we had checked in so we couldn’t get a refund if we didn’t want to stay here. One lady at the front desk was a little rude and unhelpful.If you’re a diamond member don’t waste your time here. As a diamond member my app tells me I get complimentary breakfast, I went down and the lady at the front desk told me I had to pay ($23) knowing in the system that I am a diamond member. Wouldn’t come back. Pay the extra couple bucks to stay somewhere nicer.

Comment: I’ve stayed at multiple Hilton branded hotels for more than 15 years from the Hampton Inn Chino hills (my favourite and the best so far), Hilton San Bernardino, Hilton LAX, Conrad Bali, Conrad Singapore, to the Hiltons in Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Manila, and many others around Asia, pre Covid.Post Covid, I’ve only had 4 stays at a Hilton branded hotel. Namely the Doubletree Hilton Penang Malaysia, Doubletree Hilton Christchurch NZ and this hotel, the Doubletree Hilton Norwalk, CA (2 stays). Here’s my review of the Doubletree in Norwalk CA. To be fair, I’ll only compare my stays at this hotel with those I’ve stayed at, post Covid. I won’t even compare this stay with other stays I had in IHG and Marriot group hotels post Covid.I stayed here from 1st Dec to 17th Dec 23, and from 8th Jan to 26th Jan 24.The StaffOne thing that the Hilton group gets 100% right is the people that work there. Doubletree Hilton is no different. Everyone I’ve interacted with was super friendly and willing to go the extra mile to help. They made my stay away from home so much easier.A special mention to the following:Antonio, Bill and Huang who made me sleep better with the alcohol they served me at the bar most nights.Katie, Jonathan, Cinthia and Denisse at the reception desk. Super, super friendly and super helpful… So great to see friendly, smiley faces after a long flight, or after a long day at the office.A big thank you to Katie for allowing me to extend my late check out time to 1600. It saved me the trouble of having to find a place to kill time before my flight.The Rooms.Size and feel of the rooms again are no different from other Doubletree hotels. However, the similarity ends there. Unlike the other Doubletree hotels,• There is no kettle to boil water. If hot water is needed one has to go to the restaurant at the ground floor, or to the gym to get hot water. (had to do that when I wanted to have cup noodles for snack one day)• no umbrella in case it rains (No umbrella for guests even at the front desk),• no complementary bottled water (One must pay $3 per bottle which you can get for $1 in a 7-11).• No drinking mugs (all paper),• no eating utensils like teaspoons, spoons, forks, or knifes.• No plates• Room service is only during dinner and maybe perhaps breakfast, unlike the ones in Malaysia or in New Zealand where it is from 0600 to 2200 daily• My biggest pet peeve, the room is not made or cleaned daily! You must request for it at the front desk after 3 – 4 nights of stay…The restaurant.I would say there is no comparison. Unlike the restaurants in the other hotels where the restaurants were open from 6am to 11pm, it is only open for breakfast and dinner. Lunch is only during weekdays. Another thing I find odd is that breakfast is NOT complementary. It is in fact very expensive. A cup of coffee is around $7.Car ParkThe car park is not free, unlike the doubletree In both Malaysia and New Zealand it costs $15 per night. Not sure why it is, when the car park is only 20% utilized every night.

Comment: I just had an absolute nightmare of a stay at this double tree by Hilton. I checked in Monday night, as soon as I got inside the sheets I started feeling itchy and started getting warm. A few min later I was completely covered in hives. I was able to control it and bring the rash down by taking Benadryl but when I woke up the next day I was still covered in hives.As the day progressed and I was out of the my room/hotel for work the hives slowly went away and they were completely clear by night time. I decided to give it another try and boom!, next morning I woke up covered in hives again. Which again got better during the day with the use of Benadryl and being out of the room for work but didn’t go away completely. That evening after getting back from work I requested to speak to a manager but no one was available, I showed the front desk person who was very nice, photos of the rash and also the rash was still visible all over my body when I was was talking to them.I got switched to another room that night and thankfully the next morning I woke up without a rash or hives. Which means that something was in the bedding of the other room that was causing the allergic reaction.Tonight I requested to be compensated for the horrible experience I had and the solution I got from the manager, who again was unavailable so the front person had to call them, was that they would have a company come test that room and they would get back to me regarding comp.This is absolutely unacceptable and just awful customer service. I had to cancel several meetings due to the allergic reaction that their bedding caused me and it put my health at risk.I have filed a complaint with Hilton corporate and hopefully they are available to resolve this issue. I will also be filing a complaint with the health department.I decided not not stay my final night at this double tree and booked a different hotel.This hotel is run down, it’s dirty and it’s not properly maintained. Don’t recommend it to anyone !

Comment: Me and my family stayed here for five months while our house was getting renovated. The staff is so warm, attentive and welcoming they made us feel like home.After trying every single item from the Sonoma Grill menu, trust me when I tell you these are the best creations: the Salmon Entree and the chicken sandwich.My least favorite things: breakfast and just like other comments mention, the need to get new carpets. But it doesn’t have to do with the overall cleanliness of the hotel, its more of a renovation issue.I wish I could name everyone but this will turn into a long post. However, I do want to give special thanks to Antonio and Marcos from the restaurant. These men embody the meaning of great costumer service.We will be back!

Comment: My experience was not that great. When we got to our room it reeked of musky cologne. Went down stairs and they said they didn’t have anything else available. They did offer to “freshen up to the room.” The floors of almost the halls were super dirty and had white papers and trash . The room floor was dirty as well. Seems like they don’t clean very well here. Staff was unwilling to do anything about it. Bathrooms are dingy. Waking up super duper itchy! Doors slamming all morning long. This place is a joke! Do you even have anyone clean the rooms and change the sheets? Are you cleaning and sterilizing the mattresses?! I highly do NOT recommend this place at all. ITS OBVIOUS THAT MANAGEMENT AND THE OWNER do NOT CARE ABOUT HYGIENE.

Comment: The reception lacked warmth and assistance; they didnt guide us to the elevator or explain the hotel facilities despite it being a quiet time. Even when we sought help from a staff member in the lobby, they appeared distracted by a phone game and didnt attend to our queries. It took about 2 hours for someone to assist us in the room, and there was no manager available to address our concerns. Additionally, they entered our room without permission, and the privacy notice was on the door. This breach of privacy further compounded our dissatisfaction with the overall experience at the hotel. Its evident that the standards of privacy and respect for guests space were lacking, contributing to a disappointing stay that did not meet the expected standards for a hotel of this caliber

Also, since I reserved my room not through the hotel, I had to give a deposit. The best part of the room was the shower.Advice: Make sure you take drinking water because there is no free water in your room. The water bottles in your room are expensive. Comment: We were very pleased with our stay at the Doubletree Los Angeles Norwalk! The location is ideal for tourists visiting Anaheim and Los Angeles/Hollywood because it sits right on I-5. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by front desk staff and quickly got set up with keys and the breakfast vouchers we added. We enjoyed our warm cookies too!Our room was spacious and clean, with a large bathroom and wonderful shower (sometimes hard to find in hotels). Beds were super comfortable! We loved the Crabtree & Evelyn products and appreciated that they’ve moved away from the individual toiletries. (I volunteer at an organization who recycles those containers, and it’s crazy to see how much waste is created.)Breakfast was delicious each morning. We had a buffet on some mornings, but I believe they are moving away from the buffet. The service on our table-service breakfast was slow, but that was due to a lack of staff, which sadly is all over these days. I need to remember that even though we’re not wearing masks anymore, the hospitality industry was obliterated by the pandemic, and it will take time to get things back to normal (and the sky-high demand for travel is making things more challenging). Every staff member we encountered was working hard and was super kind and accommodating.We travel often to the LA area, and when we left the hotel on our last day, our kids said, “We should stay here again next year!” Teenager approved:)

Comment: The first turnoff was the putrid smell the water fountain was putting out.I overheard many people asking if the water was safe from the tap.I was disappointed in one of the front desk staff as I had tried to book and join Hilton Honors twice over the phone on my way and was disconnected both times. I tried to explain this to her in an effort to just let her know where I left off and rather than assist, she sent me to the website.Her co-worker was much more attentive and pleasant.Charging $15 to park in basically a public parking lot mad no sense to me as there is a movie theater parking lot connected to the same access point.For being Hilton, way disappointed, particularly due to their commitment to keep the rooms clean and sanitary. (See pics)Why are they using bags for trash cans as ice bucket bags when they charge $200/night?Also, the window to my room was open and the freeway noise was obnoxious.Bartender was sweet and attentive.I would not stay here again if they paid me.

I had to request her to send clean bed sheets and a clean comforter but she stated there was no house keeping at that time and she denied service . I told her to send the sheets and comforter to the room and i would do it myself. she still denied service until i informed her there was vomit allover the bed and needed a manager if she was not going to do it. Comment: My stay was pretty good no complaints expected for the extra charge that was taken out of my account I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and originally got charged $560.64 which I was aware of once checking out of my hotel I was charged an Additional $427.60. I called and was told it was money that was held and will be refunded but never was explained what the $427.60 was a hold for. No reason why $900+ should be on hold for a 2 night stay.

Comment: Hello, I was reading all the reviews on here and I was shocked. I have honestly stayed at this hotel four times and it has never disappointed us. It’s always clean & family friendly. (I have two kids) The staff is always polite and welcoming. I think that people shouldn’t be giving Poor reviews because they got charged for parking or because the expected free breakfast Like come on it’s on the website. Almost every Hilton makes you Pay for parking.Anyways! The beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean, free shampoo, conditioner& body wash, clean pool and working jucuzzi, friendly staff, not to mention yummy warm cookies. What else can we ask for. Oh and one more thing. If you book a hotel next to the freeway you’re obviously going to hear some noise. But honestly for me it’s not too bad. Some people exaggerate.

Comment: This is my first night in LA California with my family. I walked through the huge rotating doors after a spectacular view of the palm trees, succulents, & water fountain on display outside. I can’t remember the front desk agents name but he was super helpful and we had a great conversation. We got some warm cookies that were compliments of the hotel. There is a bar and restaurant inside of the hotel. There is also a pool & meeting rooms. All corridors were clean and smelled good as well as the room. I loved the chandeliers and artwork on the walls. We also got two complimentary waters and soap shampoo and conditioner pumps were accessible in the bathroom. They also have toothbrushes/toothpaste upon request. The room was spacious and had a fridge and coffee maker as well. Comment: Stayed here in March 2023 while in town for a funeral. One of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. There are so many better options in the area. DO NOT STAY HERE.Our bed did not have a fitted sheet, just a top sheet directly over the mattress. The water from the sink and shower smells like sewage. The vent in the bathroom has mold all over it. The towels are thin, crusty, and smell like mildew. We had misleading information regarding check in - we were told two different times by the front desk.Worst of all, we paid $15 a day just to park in their lot, even though we were guests. I have never experienced that at any other hotel, unless it was valet. On the second day there, our car was broken into in their lot in broad daylight. You’d think they at least would have someone keeping an eye on the parking lot if they are going to charge you to park. Upon check out, we were told that we would be getting reimbursed for parking since our car was broken into. That has never happened. We never even got a call from the manager, like they promised.

We get there after driving all day, one of the most expensive hotels, for reasons, unknown, in the area. After we are checking in, he asks if we’re going to park our car in the parking lot, we say yes, he says OK that’s another $15. The parking lot was completely empty, and a normal parking lot. They train Jack you every which way possible. What a rip off.The bathrooms were a big disappointment, nothing special, especially for what you pay.The freeway is right outside your window, and if it were not for the fan, it would be unbearable with a noise from the traffic. Comment: I’ll start with pros: toiletries like body wash and lotion seemed really nice and high end unlike cheap hotels.Con: no breakfast included not even continental. One coffee packet per room got us through before leaving. $25 a person breakfast offered downstairs which my cousin said it was not good. Next time they should advertise that. Most people just want a quick coffee or pastry to start their day off before heading out. We had a big party and I just think it should have been clear ahead of time. Chocolate chip cookies were advertised but when asked they were still “in the oven” 45 minutes to bake.

Staff is super rude and have no professionalism, they probably dont know what its like being courteous and what is customer service. I have already submitted detailed complaint to Guest services about my experience. Very disappointed, staff like this is ruining Hiltons name. I dint feel honored being a Hilton honor member after the treatmenti recoeved at this place. Room was nice though, it was clean enough and comfortable. Very basic breakfast with same items every single day, some of them were not even fresh...of course they gotta use left overs from previous day. Pay for parking, breakfast, water bottles in the room and for touching TV remote then another 20 bucks for pressing any button on the remote. They don’t do everyday room service which was explained at the desk but you can request or call for towels etc at any time. Had to call for toilet paper and the housekeeping lady knocked on our room door while playing on her phone. Never looked up or put it away, when I answered. Our sink was clogged from day one, it started to back up and everything was coming up. When maintenance was called they got it working but the bathroom had no ventilation that worked in the bathroom and whatever chemical he used was extremely strong and no warning just left.

He told us to go to the restroom in our room. We told him we need to check in first. Instead of directing us to the restroom available on lobby floor, he ignored and proceeded with checking in our 2 rooms. Asked him if we need to put any documents in our parked vehicle, he said he gave it to us already, he didnt. Poor paint job. Outer long curtain is only for decoration purpose, cant be closed. Didnt know theres double layers of curtains until next morning. Requested 8:30am morning call, staff called to wake us up by 5:39am. Did get enough rest because staff woke us up 3 hours early and issues with the curtains. The rooms are noisy also, being right next to the freeway with a single pane window. Poor experience during this stay.

Comment: Location is good, hear freeway and restaurants. Clean lobby, staff was nice. Room was big and clean, restroom was a little outdated. I was very disappointed by the pool area, very dirty, jacuzzi wall had dry bird poop and the inside looked like its cracking through, looks black inside. Pool was very dirty, lots of insects, leafs and dirt. Launching chairs couldnt be used, you can see the dirt on the black. No net to attempt to clean it, cigarette buds in the area and stairs, going to the second floor, that area also had lots of cigarette buds. As we are leaving the pool area we see the maintenance guy spraying something in the jacuzzi and when he saw us he nervous laugh and stopped. Whatever maintenance has to be done should he done before it opens, what if I wanted to go in the jacuzzi and I had an allergic reaction to whatever he sprayed? Pool opens at 7 AM it should be done before guests go in. I hope they can talk to the maintenance employee and coach him on keeping the area clean and follow proper precaution when using chemicals in the pool or jacuzzi. I did no contact check in/out, I had a hard time using it to access the pool area and doors, front desk manager was nice and gave me a key to make it simple. Cleaning lady was nice, got us some clean towels and was professional and had a nice smile too.

Comment: The hotel was subpar for a Hilton. There was a birthday party with about 100 people in a small room but they where roaming around the hotel with no masks. We tried to go to the pool on our 1st night and were asked to leave at 9:45 even though the sign said the pool closed at 10. When we went to the front desk to ask why we were asked to leave the pool we were told that we are supposed to make reservations and that the pool closed at 9 due to our safety because of covid. Meantime as I said many people running around the whole hotel without any masks on. When I explained that we drove 9 hours and wanted to get in the hot tub we were told oh sorry I can make you a reservation for tomorrow but because of covid we cant let you go in its for your safety. The room was somewhat clean however the shower pressure was horrible the shower curtain did not close all the way so there was water all over the floor after we showered the the towels were were stained with blood. They charged us $10 a night for parking even though it was an open parking lot and we saw many vehicles without parking stickers overnight my aunt stayed in the same hotel and was not charged $10 for parking. Later on the 1st evening when my husband went to the vehicle to retrieve something he saw the manager behind the front desk without a mask on this was the same person that told us it was for our safety that we couldnt go into the pool. There is a 24 hour fitness center however the theHe was turned up so high that we had a hard time just doing the elliptical and it was locked with no way of turning it down. It is not an actual fitness center as there are only free weigits only free weights dumbbells that only go up to 45 pounds there were basically just 2 treadmills 2 ellipticals and exercise balls that was it. Considering that we paid over $500 for 3 nights we expected more out of a Hilton this Hilton this Hilton is definitely not what we are used to and was not worth the money we could have stayed at the Motel 6 gotten the same type of room and the same shoddy service, All while spending $300 less definitely will not be returning to the double tree in Norwalk.

Comment: Most expensive double tree I have stayed in! For it to have so many problems I encountered! I checked in, 3 people standing around...one was helping other guest...waited about 20 mins just to check in while the other person where doing absolutely nothing! I go up to my room (mind you I booked a two queen size beds room) see a couch and a king size bed! Tried to call front desk no answer, went to lobby told the girl in the desk they gave me a room i didnt ask for shes like oh yeah sorry would you like to stay there? Im like no, I payed for two beds. then the guy that was sitting behind the desk comes and was like you cant move if you touched any of the stuff already! like huh???you guys should of put me in the correct room in the first place... the lady apologizes for putting me in wrong room and gave me correct room and we finally moved... beds where comfy the TV is super outdated and be super careful turning it on my receipt showed they charged me for a $20movie when we didnt even watch nothing!!!! Now on to the morning, (check out is at 12 PM) we had two house cleaners come into the room without knocking (twice) they got out until they saw my spouse... when we did finally leave the house keepers where outside and said I thought you where going to check out at 12? (mind you it was 11:45 am still 15 mins left!) Went to check out asked for a paper copy receipt lady says sorry my printer doesnt work like how cant the printer work? when you guys charge over $200 per night 🤣 also parking is $10.. definitely going somewhere else next time... also I forgot to mention I thought this hotel was smoke free ? I kept smelling marijuana through the vents the whole stay!!!!!!!!!

The day I left I noticed that I left my gold cross necklace in the room and I called the front desk they asked me to fill out the form online and I did the form said if I didnt hear back in 2 business days to call again and I did multiple times. The front desk would give me the runaround and never called me back. I dont think I will ever stay here again. Someone took the necklace

Finally went to lobby to inform them, and request RSVP for pool and for different room due to TV not working. 1 hour later I checked my bank account. Doubletree had deducted $200 from my checking account w/o being informed. Later called and spoke with Tony (front desk). Disputing the withdrawal and he basically accused of me breaking the TV. Then basically calling me a liar. Informed me that they informed the manager and the manager instructed him to make the withdrawal.Next morning I received a call to the room requesting that my grandkids quit calling the front desk. I apologized but this morning (Sat), I realized those calls were made by me when I was trying to reach them. Now Im worried about what else I might be charged for. The hand set of the room was broken. When you picked up the hand piece the cord would separate from the phone. I took plenty of pics and will be posting on social media

We go to the new room. Keys don’t work.We go down to the front desk for new keys. Front Desk Agent is surprised, but as a former FDA, I get it, it happens sometimes. Back to the room with new keys, and then back downstairs because they don’t work either. This time we go back up stairs with the third keys and the night maintenance worker. Our third keys don’t work! Neither does the master key with maintenance. Back downstairs for a third room.Luckily the first keys work. It’s 130a and we can finally lay down to sleep. A few minutes later, new guests are sent to our room, with working keys.Before checking out the following day, we spoke with the FDA on duty about our ordeal. We were told that the manager knew of the situation and was working on it.Nothing was done regarding any rectification.Mistakenly, I left a shirt in the closet. Comment: I booked a room at 9:40pm through Hotels.com (Expedia) I arrived at 12:40, trying to get a little sleep before an early morning business appointment. Upon arrival the clerk told my reservation was fir the 9th, not the 10th, there my reservation was cancelled and they are now booked up. I explained I just placed the reservation 3 hours ago, he said, Its after midnight, we dont hold reservation after midnight . You should book direct with Hilton and thus wouldnt happen. So I asked what do you have? Nothing, he replied, its the weekend, we are busy, we have sold your room. I asked about tomorrow, as my reservation was for 2 nights, that was booked also, he cannot help me. I checked online later, and both Hilton and Hotels.com showed rooms available for the next night.The attitude was very aloof, and condescending. He was not polite, nor helpful, he almost seemed to enjoy turning away a booking made outside of Hilton. No offer of another hotel, or save the next night... nothing. If the attitude is indicative of the people running this hotel, it absolutely is deplorable.Lesson for me, call ahead if arriving after midnight. Hilton, you are in the service and hospitality business...act like it!

Comment: The rooms are kind of pricey for the condition they’re in. It’s pretty old and in my room, the bathroom door was very difficult to open (not locked but practically stuck unless you pull really hard). Customer service is pretty good though. Not much to do around here except it’s nice that there’s a movie theatre right there. It’s decent for a quick getaway I guess…Update: used the pool and fitness room which are both pretty nice. However it’s frustrating that the digital key doesn’t open the doors. I had to get a physical keycard from the front desk. Also note that there’s limited capacity of 10 people at the pool at any one time. They should’ve put a sign on there or something. No one really know they had to reserve the pools in advance which was also frustrating and we’re all confused.

I would say because of their customer service.Ill try not to make it as long...My wife and I arrived exhausted at the hotel at around 8pm. Went in to check in with our hands kind of full. We went to our room and my wife didnt see her purse in the room with her so we went to our vehicle to check and nothing!. I threw out a bag of trash and thought maybe it was out inside by accident. We went to the trash can where I threw it, but it had been cleaned out and we saw the housekeeper there and asked her, but she said she had tossed it in the compressor and out to the trash outside. So we went to the bins out in the back and they were locked! we went to the front desk and asked if someone could go out and unlock it for us to go looking in it, but the lady said she couldnt help, that everyone from housekeeping left when we clearly saw and asked one of them about the trash 10 minutes prior. We asked if she can check the cameras for us and denied us. She pretty much said there was nothing she could do for us. We walk out and from outside in our vehicle we see the SAME housekeeping lady talking to the front desk lady! LUCKLY, LUCKLY her purse had been put behind one of the curtains in the room!! But, was it too much what we were asking for? For a purse, not some toy or piece of clothing. Yeah, we could of had just cancelled all her cards and what not, but I feel we could of had gotten some type of help. Keep in mind, we were really calm and polite when we asked both of them. Oh well

Comment: We had a great stay hear at the Double Tree in Norwalk I love that the windows face towards the parking lot and the freeway. The view of the sunset is Beautiful the windows are big and panoramic style love that about this hotel very clean rooms service was great. Service animals are allowed. Parking lot is huge and the movie theaters are across the street they also have a few restaurants walking distance and the freeway is right behind the hotel. We will definitely be visiting here again thank you for all your hospitality staff and keeping up with the cleanliness. I also love that they have a grand piano in front of the restaurant walking towards the elevators gives you the feel of the movie Pretty Woman 😆 I was able to get a lot of photography work done here thank you

Comment: Do not stay here if you are a moderately to severely light sleeper. This hotel does not have the very thick windows that keep the room quiet from the outside traffic noise like some hotels do, and this location is right on the interstate. I asked for a quiet room away from the highway but could still hear the highway on the far side. The hotel itself is loud with noise traveling from floors above and the same floor. The AC works well to create some white noise.The lighting in the bathroom is great, the TV is large, and the bed was comfortable. The front desk staff was very friendly, and there was ample parking. The bar/restaurant was closed but looked like a great place to grab a drink and an app.

Comment: I checked into room 421 from September 15th the 17th.Immediately upon entrance I inspected the room and found it fairly clean, surprisingly. 🙂The bed sheets were clean as were most of the light switches and door knobs.The only things that werent clean was the refrigerator and carpet. I helped clean the refrigerator because I needled to use it and informed the manager about shampooing the carpet.The floor I was on was a bit noisy. However, when I called to have it quieted, it was.The building is a bit outdated and some of the guests were a bit 😳, but all-in-all it was a decent hotel to stay in.The parking and Wi-Fi are free.

Comment: Staff was really polite and accommodating. The hotel has been completely booked the whole time weve been here and its still been very quiet. Rooms are nice and super clean. Beds are comfortable, AC works well, carpet is pretty clean, it didnt seem to dirty our socks or feet at all. There was only one problem and its kinda big but everything else was so great so I still think this place deserves 4 stars. So the only problem was that it took forever for the tank on the toilet to fill up so when we had to flush more than once, it was a problem. My husband and I just ended up filling up the tank ourselves with water from the bathtub using our sons bath cup each time we had to use the restroom. Just kind of hassle but besides that, everything else was great. Restaurant was closed due to covid but thats not their fault, pool was open but you have to make a reservation to use it at the front desk and its only for one hour but luckily we were able to go everyday we stayed there and everybody followed the 1hr rule so that was helpful. They did make sure my family got a free cookie each day so that was nice of them. Weve only seen 4 staff members this whole time weve been here and although this whole place is booked, they seem to be on top of everything and always super friendly. This is our second time here this year. Well be coming back.

Comment: Our sheets had blood stains on them when we arrived! The blanket was filthy and the bed was not made properly. The sheets were on a barely on the bare mattress with no topper or protector. I was understanding when they told me the house keeper wouldn’t clean our room until we left considering covid 19 BUT we had to call every single day to ask for toiletries. It was an inconvenience. Trash, dirty rags and towels were piled up outside in the hall. The fire alarm woke us up and our entire floor reeked of weed. The front desk attendant told us “some one was taking a hot shower” when we found the stairs and made it to the lobby outside. I’ll never stay at another double tree by Hilton hotel. Do not waste your money. It was filthy and the people were not hospitable.

We checked in really early around 1am the guest service man was not friendly at all we stayed in room 605 when we walked in we noticed that the room carpet was filthy and furniture wasn’t clean there was no microwave or refrigerator as stated on there website but to top it all off we woke up and it was blood on our sheets and neither my husband or myself was bleeding. I went downstairs and talked to a young lady in guest services and explained to her the issues we were having she was friendly but she did state certain rooms have refrigerators and the microwave is located downstairs. Very inconvenient it states they are offering breakfast which they are not in the end she gave us 50% off our room but we decided to go ahead and check out! Comment: We read in the advertisement that we would have a warm reception, but our reception was frosty. The woman behind the counter was cold and condescending. She said that our names were not in their system, then she said, Are you sure youre not supposed to be in Whittier? She then said that if we were going to stay there we would need a confirmation number. She seemed shocked when my husband showed her our number on his cell phone. They advertise that you may choose your room. Since my husband has trouble walking, we chose a room close to the elevators. She claimed that the room wasnt available, although we had selected it on their website. The room that she selected for us was so far from the elevators that we only left when we had to take care of personal business. She also told us that we would not be provided with the complimentary soft drink and appetizer that was printed on our breakfast voucher. The complimentary soft drink and appetizer are also offered on the website. The staff in the restaurant were all very kind.

Comment: I really like Double Tree hotels because theyre always clean, fancy, and the price is typically fair. Hospitality is always welcoming and helpful (they provide cookies when you check in!) We accidentally booked 2 queen beds so along with the rest of the furniture it still had decent amount of space. The beds are so comfy and the sheets are nice and soft- definitely made the stay more enjoyable. I didnt get a chance to check out the gym or pool but I did take a quick look and they were a good size and clean as well. The hotel is right off the freeway which was great in my opinion because we didnt have a hard time finding it. The surrounding area has a couple restuarants and an AMC so theres (minimal) options for entertainment just in that same area. I would definitely stay here again!

Comment: A hotel that loves to exclusively cater to business men/women, and conferences. If you are a diamond member do not lose your voucher or you will not be given breakfast. The room service is nice. Front desk interaction is useless and you will get frequently interrupted by the people working because they seem too busy. They do not have a grill. They have a piano that no one plays and has a sign that says do not touch. A nice touch for a hotel that wants to seem better than they are. Ive found multiple insects living on the top floor in my room. Room service trays that are left in the hallway seem to only be removed once per day and stay out 90% of the time.

Comment: I had to stay here for work for 3 days. The staff is friendly and helpful, the hotel is older but run down, room service staff is amazingly the food lacks taste and usually is burnt or under cooked. For work it is fine, but I wouldnt stay longer than I need to, or find another hotel all together. But there was an incident on the first night I cant shake, hence why Im only giving 2 stars. When I got to my room, right away I noticed there was no lights in the sleeping and livingroom area. I called down to the front desk and they sent someone up right away. The man they sent said that there was no bulbs in the lamp but he would just replace them and be right back. Easy fix, (btw, what originally happened to the bulbs???)! I had closed the door, which locked automatically, and decided I had a few minutes to change my work blouse and slacks into my yoga pants and a tshirt. BUT, as soon as I had my blouse off, the man knocked on my door once, where I started to say one minute, please, but I didnt even get a chance to finish because the man had used his master key to let himself in. While I was scrambling to get my tshirt on, I turned my back to him and thought thank goodness I usually wear a tank top underneath my work clothes because he would have seen me without a top! This is not acceptable behavior under any circumstance. He changed the light and left without further incident, but this made the rest of my 3 night stay uncomfortable. I did let the front desk know what happened and my uneasiness in the situation, and they did apologize and said the would speak to the person directly and correct their actions, but I doubt Ill ever want to stay at a Double Tree, especially this one, again. I wouldnt mind the food, the hotel style, but I can not be okay with an employee feeling comfortable enough to just let themselves in without waiting for the guest to let them in. If you are a woman traveling alone, be careful of staying here.

Comment: In desperate need of renovations. I have stayed here often because its close to the office, but you never know what you are going to get. Sometimes its a room with no hot water. Sometimes its a room with a remote that needs new batteries. My last two stays had bathtubs that the painted over tub had paint peeling off and stains on the tub. Reluctant to take a shower and I usually shower daily, but I didnt bring flip flops with me. Will definitely stay at Sheraton in Cerritos the next trip.

Comment: Stayed here on Thursday to go to the courthouse,early Friday morning. Checked in around 5:30 p.m. Was a mixup on my reservation upon check in. Was verified,and fixed with Hilton Honors person. Asked for a late checkout, due to court business. And a room facing the parking lot. No problem! Rooms were very nice,and very clean. Loved the bed! The gal at the front desk was wonderful! I had 15 minutes in the jacuzzi before closing. That was enough for me. My room was a bit pricey, but I had breakfast included on my reservation. I had to stay there,since I walked to the courthouse,and saved on parking fees. Bottom line, worth the money I spent....Also, they give you chocolate chip cookies upon check in . Yummy😁

Comment: Stayed here during the 4th of July weekend. Check in at the hotel was a great experience & first night had good as we got in pretty late.We left that morning to enjoy the day with family & when we came back to the room later that night. We noticed that our drawers were looked thru & some items were missing. We reported it to the front desk rep Jonathon & was told that they would review with the building engineer & security manager to see who had entries the room well we were out. I was told that no one would be available till the day after check out but promised a response within 24 hours with answers & a solution.After waiting a week, I reached out to Hilton under a complain review & was told someone would reach out within 3 business days. Again I never got a response or any call backs.I have stayed at multiple Doubletrees but I can say now that I will never say at a doubletree or another Hilton property again if they can not keep their guest rooms safe.

Comment: I had an awful experience yesterday (07/20/19). I had booked a room, the hotel was full, I arrived at 11:45 pm and I was told that the room would be available in about one hour. I was given a token for a free drink at the bar. There were a few more people in the same situation. They had not enough cleaning personnel on staff to clean all the rooms with the hotel full (cant they forecast this). I was the last person to get a room at 1:45am. While the people at the reception were polite, they were not too helpful. If they had told me that the wait was two hours, I would asked to cancel my reservation (for free) and I would have found another hotel. The mess in the corridors of the hotel was a clear sign that they had not finished up cleaning things. I feel for the poor cleaning person who was working on my room and the room next to mine at the end of a very long shift. I feel for the woman at the reception who finished her shift at 2am in the morning and was told by the boss to be there at 8am. The management of this hotel really sucks. They should be able to forecast the needs of cleaning personnel based on the reservations they have. They should go on the market and hire more people if needed. The hotel is sort of fine (a little bit on the not new side). The comment is mostly about the management.

Comment: Comfortable bed, clean room, no view but if your staying at this hotel its probably close to something your doing, so convenient. Right next to a movie theater and has a grill onsite. Breakfast was like any other hotel breakfast Ive been to though they have a server for drinks and you have to be seated. The water bottles in the room were 3$, has a coffee maker and the flowers on the table at breakfast were actually real flowers, I thought that was a nice touch.

Comment: Stayed one night, horrible front desk staff, waited for baggage cart for almost a hour upon arrival. Needed cart due to having equipment for three ice skaters plus bags. Property is rundown and not that clean, rooms were ok and served its purpose, property is not taken care of very well. Restaurant staff was great only reason they get two stars. Front desk staff acted like they really didnt want to be there. Upon departure same thing no baggage carts. Was basically told to deal with it by front desk staff. Myself and two others made three trips to car from sixth floor. Hilton should really look at this property . As a member of their rewards program Im not asking for much just a cart to carry my luggage. This is more of a red roof inn than a Hilton. @Hilton

I was charged for cancellation fees for someone else reservation because they couldn’t get a hold of that person credit card.The manager crystal kept hanging up and avoiding my phone calls every time I attempted to resolve this issues. I never experienced a lot of shady stuff goes on within the hotel industry but this one takes the trophy. I would give this place a zero star rating if it’s an option. Comment: 1 Star is way too generous!They Charged my credit card for 2 bottles of water that I never even touched.Even after telling me at checkout that I wouldn’t be charged because it was a mistake on their part.Total scam!!There is also signs on the warm water bottles in the room that say“ Please accept these complimentary bottles of water”I still never drank the water even with them being “Free” and only purchased beverages from the soda machine in the hallway.The charge will be reversed and flagged as unauthorized.I have always stayed with Hilton And doubletree when traveling to Norwalk frequently bit I will no longer be staying at this location or lodging related to Hilton if this is how they are going to scam their customers.STAY AWAY!

Comment: This was an enjoyable business stay (12 days) for me. I got a Hilton Honors Diamond privilege, so my amenities may not match up with yours. I believe the perks are a 6th floor room (does it differ from a regular room?), a breakfast voucher, a small app voucher at the bar, and a free drink at the bar for each night I stayed. Read with this in mind.ROOMThe rooms are open concept, with a half wall dividing the bed from the living room area, with a couch and a large TV. The appearance is somewhat modern, a bright grey paint to help reflect the ample light coming in through the windows (I got a corner room), and modern fixtures and appliances. The bathroom is large, clean, and comfortable, with good pressure and temperature.AMENITIESThey have a good fitness room, about 6 treadmills, 2 ellipticals, and an exercise bike, as well as medicine balls, gym balls, a balance trainer, and a good range of weights (5 - 50lb dumbbells). Though the space is small, so is the attendance, so you dont feel crowded. Its clean and somewhat well ventilated, so there is no threat of suddenly feeling stuffy. I managed a good 30 minute run on a treadmill, which I have not often been able to do at hotel gyms due to the environment.The pool is spacious, clean, and nice looking, with some swanky red chaise lounges to relax in if youre wanting some california sun.There is a business center at the front, which also supplies coffee until 9:00 AM (but you can always get coffee from the adjacent restaurant). Its also open concept, so while not entirely private, it doesnt feel like youre trapped in a cave.The lobby is filled with several seats to relax in if youre into people watching or just want to get out of your room. Overall, it has an inviting feel.FOODMy stay included a breakfast buffet, which looks like it costs just shy of $20 for those who dont have it included. This was one of the more impressive buffest Ive been to, with a few notes. First, go EARLY, like as soon as they start. The method of making their scrambled eggs is such that they are light and fluffy and delicious, BUT ONLY for the first 30 minutes that they bring them out. It sits on a chaffing dish, which continues to mildly cook them. With this in mind, if you know you want scrambled eggs, you have to have your breakfast between 6:30 and 7:00 AM. Another option is their omelette bar, which is always a nice plus. Im not a huge fan of omelettes, so I would have them fry me a couple of eggs and top it with some of the sauteed veggies that normally come with it. They were happy to oblige. In the end, its a great service, though I could not justify the cost in all honesty; you want the meal included in your stay.I got a chance to try their small bites at the bar. The quality was very impressive. The dishes worth trying are the fish tacos and the ahi tuna nachos (wonton chips under a bed of cabbage and ample portion of sushi grade raw tuna, with a very nice sauce to accompany it).Throughout, the staff are accomodating and friendly, with maybe one exception. Youll know if you get her, shes just a bit slow and inattentive, but its jarring if you get her service in the morning.LOCATIONThere are some nice restaurants next to the movie theater, which is walking distance from the hotel. Some quick meals like The Poke Co (we need more of this in the midwest!), and Yasai (sushi rolls) were surprisingly better than expected, and I had most of my dinners here. Theres an Outback Steakhouse as well nearby, but beyond that, 3 or 4 miles of driving local roads will take you to some decent restaurants (Geezers, for one).Cookies are at the front desk, just ask for them!It was a positive experience, and if I ever need to come back to California, I would not be opposed to staying here again. Overall, it wasnt mindblowing; a few late breakfasts or room service that fell short on a day kept this from getting 5 stars, but I would recommend this place to those staying in the area.

Comment: Location isnt best as its tucked in behind the theater but the quality of the room and service has been great. I was disappointed that you do not get a microwave or refrigerator unless you book a suite but they provided a drink voucher and breakfast voucher for my stay. Parking is free which is a plus. There is the theater next door and food options are plentiful. The distance from Target is a plus. The only issue comes down to the fridge. There was obviously room for it but it seems to be an oversight.

Comment: I was incredibly impressed by my visit at this Double Tree. This is coming from someone who has stayed in multiple Double Trees in multiple states throughout the country. Let me explain to you why this is:When my dad and I initially arrived at the hotel, the staff was incredibly friendly from the moment we walked in the door. They were going out of their way to be helpful and it seemed to me like they enjoyed their jobs very much (an outstanding trait for a well trained and kind staff). When my dad and I went up to my room, we unpacked our things and eventually got out our laptops. When I plugged in my laptop however, there was a short circuit due to a broken wall outlet. To much relief, the hotel engineers immediately came up to fix the problem, assuring us that they would test all of the wall outlet in the entire room for safety. In the meantime, the hotel staff quickly moved us to another room where we were able to get back at it. When we entered the room, we got a call from the general manager. He asked us how we were doing after the incident in the other room and made sure everything was okay. We explained that the prongs laptop charger had been melted/broken from the short circuit, and he immediately let us know he would get us a new charger. The point of my telling this is that this hotel staff did something for us in a way that no other hotel staff would; they took care of us without any hesitation. Id finally like to point out that the food at the hotel was absolutely delicious and consistently so from meal to meal.This hotel surpassed my expectations in every way possible, and accordingly, I would highly, highly recommend that you consider them; I know I certainly will in the future!

Comment: Pros: the All-American breakfast may be a steep $15, but its enough for two adults. You can get it delivered to your room or go to the nice dining area downstairs. (It would have been nice if I had noticed or been told that 18% gratuity is included on the receipt, because I leave at least 20% every time and didnt realize I was double tipping.)Good beer selection.Super modern facility and very courteous staff offering free cookies at the front desk.Walk to Outback Steakhouse and AMC Theaters. Close to Target and Walmart.Maintenance responded quickly to my door being messed up. (Theres still several on this floor like it though- when it slams closed instead of safely slowing to a close, other doors closing shakes our beds.)The parking is more than ample, even when its super busy and its well lit. (Ive only parked out front.) I dont worry about leaving it out there and they have luggage carriers.The other guests have all been normal people- mostly business/ conference customers. No weirdos/drunks/scary guys so far.Theres a gym and a pool.Cons: No on-site laundry. They say there is facility within a few miles though, but it doesnt have late night hours.The water is so hot we had to turn off the hot handle in our room so nobody got burned again.Theres gum stuck to my wall and it goes unnoticed by housekeeping every time.The floor is really in need of cleaning.Summary: Ive stayed in probably 12 different hotels in the last 2 months and this one is my favorite. I would definitely recommend and come back. Id consider it a 5 star if there was laundry. And why dont hotels have a play area for paying kids like meager places such as McDonalds or Chick Fil A? Help a family out ;)

The hotel has been upgraded nicely and from the looks of it they are continuing to do upgrades (the swimming pool was just done.) It is located next to some great food places and an AMC theatre so no need to go far for food or entertainment.

It doesnt work on floor 5 so I go to floor 6. Out of order sign on floor 6. I have to go to floor 7 to get ice. The bucket barely fits enough ice for 2 beers in the sink for 30 minutes. After verifying we were diamond members the manage informed me I could not use the credit card on file because my husband was not right beside me. When I explained I had just driven seven hours and my kids and I were exhausted and my husband was flying in later and we had never had an issue like this before, he Arrogantly informed me he did not care what other Hilton properties have done...at this hotel if my husband was not with me I was not allowed to use the credit card we had made the reservation with even if my husband would be at the hotel later. So if you are more interested in a room than good customer service and you like being greeted after a long drive by a manager who has the customer service skills of a disgruntled bouncer at a low class night club than this is the place for you. I ordered the salmon (before I knew this fact...), and it definitely tasted a little off. The color was almost white (no pink whatsoever), and I couldnt even stomach it. I stopped eating, and left the meal. The next day I saw the health dept rating... That explains a lot. I have free vouchers to eat breakfast there in the morning, but I will definitely NOT be eating there! Yuck! Clean up your act, Doubletree! We expect better.

Breakfast was very good, staff was very helpful and friendly, rooms were clean, and everything seemed to work properly. I expected a microwave and mini fridge but there wasnt one, which was ok. Overall, the experience was great.

Comment: Stayed for one night. Last Saturday went up to Los Angeles for wife B-Day celebration. The lobby is clean it is nice. The hallway were clean but in need of upgrades. In the room it was clean but room is in need of upgrades. The mattress was comfy. TV working, no mini fridge, no microwave. The bathroom was in bad shape. Air flow vent is really dirty needs urgent cleaning. Wallpaper patched up bad. Tile base cracked and needs grout,sink faucet really old plus the cold water side leaks on countertop. The wood piece scratched.toilet work good. I liked the shower tub. Big and clean. Wall AC unit work good. Room521.free parking
