I just wanna know is the DTW1 site shut down because of the snow? I haven’t received an email or anything and I drive to work and the security turned me around and said they are close to further notice??????

The fact that I had to even give 1 star irritates me. I am beyond frustrated. I still have not received my package and, according to the delivery timeline, it said my address was incomplete (yet I have received several other packages from other vendors) and for the past few days, the driver keeps taking it back to the carrier facility in Romulus. I believe its probably because the drivers are lazy and do not want to look for the apartment building. And the fact that there is no customer service number I can find for this facility is even more infuriating. To say I am disappointed is a massive understatement.
My opinion only the only reason why there is a high turnover at Amazon there I can only speak about there is because of their employees who give anybody in picking a hard time if you want to work there dont choose to pick
This place worked you to death with very little pays to start out with. Supervisors and managers disregard to your health and wellness and family work life. Not recommended to anyone unless you have no skills.
A lot of brainwashing goes on here they got so called team leaders who just walks around does nothing but hold laptops all day. The job itself if very physically draining pay was good but really gotta tolerate alot of fake company higher ups with all the fake brainwashing fake team pep rallys before you start with trash music to make you believed your valued if you dont know going in beware especially at romulus location. Cant speak for all location but this one seem to be run by teens as managers that knows nothing about management. Just be warned and watch out for the dozens snakes they call h.r. .trust me your just a number to them not a person .

They advocate for mental health with posters plastered all over the place including in bathrooms. I was terminated a week before my schedule appointment with a psychologist which was needed due to all the loses during this pandemic. The conditions of this environment is not made for anyone to prosper.-Bathrooms bathrooms are 7 minutes away from your station. You only have 30 minutes in your shift to do what ever. Image a 10 or 12 hour shift to use the rest room-Water fountains- not conveniently placed more so staggered 2 or 3 now industrials walkways are longFans- doesnt offer fans at the stationsPay rate $15 an hour now mcdonalds and every where else depends on your county have that same hourly rateQuota 350 picks orders or more an hoursYoull be Written up, or termination if you dont reach the quotaMachine constantly brokenSafety team does not arrive in timely manner more so 3 hours to access a problemScanners goes out frequencyOverall all the manual and technical difficulties makes this a stressfulDo better for the peopleBack to mental health fix these problems so the place can be less stressfulIncrease payrateInstall more bathroomsProvide more drinking fountainsSaftey team provide proper and working equipmentExplain the science to new enrollees behind the amout of pick, stowe, whatever else items in a hour
Great pay. This place is like no other to work for. for me I have updated my view. Amazon is the worst place to work. You are always moving never allowed to stop moving. For a 10 hour shift. The only time you can take a break from moving is on your breaks. Yeah the pay is good. But the work that just break downs your body isnt worth it, for me at least.
My husband works here and I love the fact that he loves his job very much whenever I order off Amazon it arrives when its supposed to in perfect condition I think the employees should get a pay raise for doing such a remarkable job
I got this today in the mail for a Christmas gift to my uncle and they did not pack my package right at all whoever packed my item did not pack it right it looks like they just threw it in the box and not care about there customers orders Romulus packers are the worst packers ever whoever did this needs to get retrained how to pack customers packages
As a truck driver, this place is hit or miss. Sometimes your load is ready for pick up, but most times they keep you waiting as long as possible. Another thing. Dont arrive to early for your pick up because they wont let you in the facility to wait. There is no where to park to wait around there either. Youll see trucks parked bobtail in the side of the road. Dont do it. Romulus police will give everyone a ticket so be careful. Be safe out there drivers
In all yards. In other Amazons. When you deliver the load early, it immediately accepts. Yard workers only DTW1. Do not want to take the load before the schedule. Since we prevent them from sleeping and watching movies. During office hours. Sloth and Lurak nomination awarded to DTW1 yard workers
We are Truck Drivers, Sometimes we have to wait 10 to 12h before our Pickup appointment, and They do not allow us to park by the Associate Parking. They should at least think a little about US, it is not easy to find a Parking at truck stops after 6pm. We strive to bring your load safely, but all we get is A Door banging in the Middle of the Out of Service Hour drive time to leave or Our Job is at Risk. All I can say, Put yourself in others choes. The majority of truck drivers will never park somewhere where it could create a danger or Obstacles.
Amazon has always been a great company to work for however, one feels a bad energy the moment you walk in this building. I hope this change.

The employees are nice. Management can be better. You dont get rewarded for doing well. But you can get fired for not meeting daily quota. Everyone should be entitled to a few bad days in a month. No one is a robot yet they expect you to be. Management is NOT to he trusted. They play games, favoritism, expect you to kiss butt, then try to intimidate you. They wouldnt have such a high turn over if they had educated adults as management & didnt hassle people about quota.Just know this is no place to think youve found the perfect job.
Amazon warehouse ecourse road, Romulus Michigan is one of amazons numerous warehouse facilities across the United States of America. It is not far from the Detroit Metro international airport. The warehouse receives goods from various suppliers within and outside the country. A lot of people work to ensure that there is seamless logistics across all the distribution channels.
Worst place to apply for a job I truly wanted to work there long term they told me to come in and confirmed my appointment and everything then as soon as I get up there for my appointment I was told it was cancelled without any notification I had to find out about it in person truly unprofessional and it’s unnecessary to play with future or potential employees like that 👎

I’m mad because today (4th) was my start day. I was excited & glad to be there. All to be told I wouldn’t make it past 30 days. The same day I started was the same day I quit. It’s a hands on job & u need proper training. How the hell can the do that with this cova mess happening. And don’t get me started on the people who supposed to train u they don’t even know what they doing. The lack interest amongst other things. Terrible place to work right now.
First time ordering as a prime member, tracked the package, it showed delivered, we have cameras so it definitely didn’t come to our home. Then the Romulus distribution center doesn’t have a contact number, so you can’t even figure out where the driver delivered my packages. These items were very were very important as I needed them for a broken foot. You pay extra for prime, why, I definitely will be canceling my membership.
I was there for a job interview & the security lady was the greatest help ever. She helped me finish my online application while doing her job at the same time.. she deserves a raise!
Amazon delivery is HORRIBLE. When they used other shipping services for prime 99% of my deliveries were on time. Now its more like a 50/50 chance Ill get my package on time and that itll be delivered to the correct address. Delivery drivers will be right by my house and just leave without delivering my package. Or they dont even get close at all and I get a message that they attempted delivery.One driver decided to put my package and my neighbors package on my other neighbors porch with their package. They mustve known that there was only one package for that address. It seems to me it was done just to save time. They probably expected that person to give the packages to the correct addresses. And theres been other times Ive had to find my package with just the little picture they take of someones porch and a small amount of yard in the background.They also refuse to knock on the door. I even put it in my delivery instructions to please knock, and still inly 1 out like 20 drivers actually does it. I just want to get my packages asap before someone steals them. They have time to snap a picture of the package to protect themselves, but dont care what happens after that.Get it together Amazon, or go back to UPS

I really liked this place. Lots of attractive dark skin women here. I just got moved to another location and its driving me crazy. I miss it here. This place is very big compared to other Amazons. If you can work here I would take it.

They’re terrible! The Amazon delivery drivers are careless and some of them will leave your packages outside your apartment building without at least ringing your doorbell. They have once left my package outside the leasing office where I live. I’ve tried finding a contact number for them and they don’t even have that. At this point I am done with Amazon & will not shop with them for awhile. I would rather UPS or FedEx deliver my packages.

I worked there and got wrongfully terminated for being injured by one of their employees. I got harassed by one of the managers, he was seriously abusing his power and objectified women. Amazon however fought hard to keep me from reporting it to HR. Now I am stuck with a knee disease that will last a lifetime !

My package says on Amazon that it was delivered and HANDED DIRECTLY TO THE RESIDENT which is funny because it WAS NOT!! I was even waiting near the door for it and no Amazon driver came anywhere near my house. I’m disgusted that one of your drivers decided to steal my package like that. HOW UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!!

They lost my mothers 85th Birthday present, which was to have been delivered the day before her birthday. Having found the package on her birthday, according to representatives at Amazon, the center management was waiting for an available driver to make the delivery. Management should have gotten in a car and drove the 20 minutes to the delivery location to make this right. But no. Amazon failed spectacularly on this one.

Every single time my packages go through this carrier, they are either lost or come but are the wrong items. It’s frustrating to consistently have to re-order items. There’s really no point in having or using prime.

I had to cancel my prime the workers in michigan are so pathetic I never recieve my packages on time so I finally quit! I cant keep supporting amazon when they are unwilling to hire better people and more people. They have ruined several events and even made me lose out on money at this point.

Today 08/01/2019 i was escorted out of the building for wearing a crop top, i am literally on a medical leave and wasnt suppose to even be there! Throw the whole facility away!

Brought a load in check in was slow you have to drop trailer, go park between slots 587-592 no one took my phone number to tell me when Im empty so I had to keep checking but I also just found out this place only been open for 6 weeks hopefully things will get better
They have goofed up delivery of my items for 4 days in a row. Drivers should learn to read. THEN they finally deliver the aquarium filter today....too late for me to pick up.....and the filter media ORDERED AND PAID FOR AT THE SAME TIME ends up on two different trucks. Now I have the filter and no media. FISH ARE STILL DYING. I am so disgusted.
I loved works for Amazon because I feel three great and everyone has negative opinions I don’t see the benefit of working hard and end up with a paycheck there’s no perfect place in this world so no job is perfect honestly I love being part of Amazon and I think that people who have their experiences that feel obligated to send a negative review I just think that where can you find a job to pay you 15 an hour with no degree?
Nothing but issues with deliveries coming this location. never had issues before when UPS or the postal delivered. drivers either drive right past my resident and the item says it’ll be arriving late now, no delivery is attempted or delivered to a completely different address.

This Amazon distribution center will be open shortly for business. Amazon has their processes down very well and this will increase the speed at which packages arrive at your doorstep. They do their best and Amazon Prime is absolutely awesome if you can take advantage of it.

Does Amazon teach their drivers how to drive? On Jan 17, 2020, at around 11:45 am, a driver driving an Amazon prime van (the dark color van) almost crashed into me because he couldnt be bothered to yield when coming out of the fenced parking lot off Huron River Drive in Romulus. He blocked my path, cursed obscenities and continued on. In my opinion, incompetent, third rate useless people hired as drivers. Reported the incident to the Romulus Police.
The workers here need a morale boost. The people here look miserable coming to work. I can imagine why turnover is the way it is.

Amazon does not pay you for your time , my start day time was 2pm . I arrived there at 2pm! They made us stand in line until 3pm due to whatever excuse they gave us , and only paid us from 3pm. Unprofessional & disappointing

I have had 3 packages delivered to the Romulus location—2 of the 3 packages were delivered to this location on February 8th just a few hours apart. The 3rd package was to this location on February 9th. One of the packages that was delivered to this location on the 8th arrived at my door late afternoon. The other one who knows when I’ll get it, as it’s now the 12th and I’m still waiting. It was suppose to be delivered today but no notice of “out for delivery “. The 3rd package was delivered to my door on February 10th.I have no complaint with Amazon themselves but I have little confidence in this facility.Maybe the higher ups need to make an “undercover boss” visit
Youve got some knucklehead there who continuously sends packages to Livonia based on the first three digits of the zip ..... then they have to be shipped back to Romulus for delivery in Allen Park ( 48101 ) .
This fulfillment center regularly delivers my packages not only to a different address, but to a different apartment complex. Has completely ruined my Christmas. I cancelled my Prime and wont purchase anything fulfilled by Amazon because of this fulfillment center.

This is a newer facility. The truck entrance can be a little tricky to find first time around. Because its not located on the main road and little signage pointing to it. Good size lot. Staff is friendly.

I worked here. Amazon likely caused my psychotic break. They fired for S&P without blinking. I was a friendly leader, trainer and skilled worker. Almost a year later and I still remember the true nature of the Jungle. My mental health is poor knowing Amazon consumed employees in order to profit during the pandemic.
The only nice person I met was a security guard. The others really dont know their responsibilities enough.

This place is a more than a little depressing to work at the hours they have u working are long, there is no real work life balance at this job. Employees asked them to play music to help make it less depressing and they turn getting music into a game or reward. Its on the level of Slave Labor and has turned me against the company. If u need to do any shopping online shop Google Express instead.

They run around act like they like you. Then stab u in the back. Everyone working there hates it by the way, the place is run. Girls getting out of high school being managers at Amazon is a joke they didnt go to college for their positions. All of them are under qualified its starting to become a joke they actually treat their employees horrible and have the real people in there that should be managers on my application I was good management materials for running my own company for 15/16 years. I hope they change things soon because theyre going to lose a lot of good people they write people up just to do something

Monday into Tuesday nights Tom Team is a wreck. My trailer had a flat tire and instead of them inspecting the trailer which is standard procedure when a trailer hits the dock door, they loaded a flat trailer leaning to the side. I am suppose to be notified when my trailer was ready, however they notified me when the trailer was in the middle of being worked on. This is absolutely not Amazon Quality and Safety needs to be notified ASAP!

2022-05-06I ordered NEW Samsung Galaxy ear buds from Amazon. These people not only did a horrible job packing it, but someone obviously opened the package and let everything fly loose in the box. There wasnt even any type of padding put in the box! This is ridiculous and unacceptable.

2022-06-25They are so bad at handling and delivering here that Amazon most of the time has another facility deliver our goods. I live in a large apartment building for seniors that gets many deliveries and whenever its Romulus it never fails. They passed my last package around a 2 mile area several times then took it to the post office. Ive had stuff deliberately smashed and broken. Its like every other delivery out of this particular place is a disaster that Amazon has to straighten out. Excuse me folks Im a long standing Prime member. You dont do whatever you want with someones package. You dont show respect for the company you work for when you treat customers badly.

Im 60 years old and I have many health problems and being out of work since covid-19 started and going back to work at Amazon was a huge task and I missed many days unfortunately because of my congestive heart failure and my asthma COPD problems but Im doing much better now and along the way the Amazon has been there and supported me in just a wonderful company to work for. Im just blown away I really appreciate Amazon God bless them each and every day Im proud to be an Amazonian

2022-01-12Was alright, but dam why make an appointment time if we just gotta wait in line for our turn anyway 😒 was there over 2 hours. Appointment said 1pm-1:30pm. I was late to pick up my kids because I was still here. I would have appreciated more notice that I could possibly be here for hours 😠

2022-06-23Amazon did not try to help me when they came I was struggling trying to get my production up want to get my numbers up when I was doing totes and bin and then when I had virus when they didnt keep us safe in that building

2022-01-14I was trying to apply here and had many issues. 1.) They said they would email my appointment interview time and never did and I had to reschedule. 2.) I had to Lyft there because my car is in the shop and they wasted my time. 3.) They never told me they required two forms of ID. They wanted my birth certificate which is really weird because no job has asked me of that and I’ve been working for years with over 5 companies. I told them I have my Michigan Permit which has my Name, DOB, SSN, address, and location of birth. The exact same information but they denied me and sent me home. They just lost a very reliable hard working employee because they don’t have the intelligence to understand. Also usually jobs will interview you, call you back with a decision, then get your information other than ID.

2022-01-10I work here this is the 2nd Amazon Ive worked at I like it. Had to get used to the schedule but other than that its cool. I dont talk to anyone I just come do my job and leave.

2021-09-21This place doesnt care about you as a employee, youll get injured and workers comp doctor will grill you like the police. They work you harder based on appearance. The managers do nothing but threaten you to work faster or youre fired. Probably one of the worst experience I ever had working at a Job.
