Not only was the repair done expertly, but the car was returned in pristine condition, inside & out. I did not realize that body repair would necessitate re-calibration of the electronics and sensors. It is my understanding that Dunshee Body & Frame is one of the only in the area to be factory trained to do so on my particular make of car.
I hit a deer in Kalamazoo around midnight and was stranded on the side of I 94, 2 hours from home. I had no idea where to have my car towed to but, it ended up at Dunshee Auto and Im so happy it did. They were the most courteous and professional repair shop Ive ever dealt with! Plus the work on my vehicle is superior!! They are the best and Im hard to please!!!I couldnt of

It did take a month to get my car in after my accident, but as soon as it went in, they were fast and got my car back to me within a week and it looks AMAZING!! Definitely recommend Dunshee Autobody!!!
Someone hit my car while it was parked. Worked with my insurance and Dunshee to get the damage fixed. Took about a week, but their work was amazing! My car looks great and I paid was I was told I would pay. They even detailed the inside of my car. It hasnt looked this good in 5 years. Thank you so much for great work!

Dunshee has been doing flawless work for me for years. Their office is super professional and clean, which, as a woman, is important to me if I have to sit and wait for my rental car to arrive. They even have cold bottled water available in the waiting area. They keep me posted by phone and/or text so I know what to expect. I have used another body shop that someone recommended only once; the experience wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t the Dunshee experience. One more plus…Dunshee is very Covid-conscious, which I appreciate immensely.
First of all, the staff here is awesome, timely and honest. They updated me all along the process. They provided all the information they had on the repair I needed - this includes TSBs. The price point is average for automotive work, but the quality of individuals I feel like is above average. Namely, Ron and the various techs I had to work with. I would not hesitate to send my vehicle back to them.I signed off on a $800 inspection of the transmission, but the lead mech tech called me and said, sir this may not be necessary, and I dont want to charge you if I dont have to. How can you beat that?Thanks Dunshee, and Ron in particular.Best Regards
My front end was hit by a shredded semi-truck tire and cracked a piece of my front end :/ I was initially irritated but now very thankful for Dunshee Auto for easing my frustration! They were extremely professional and on time with my repair. They even cleaned the inside of my car and it’s beautiful! If I ever need additional car repairs I’ll definitely be going back to Dunshee’s! :)

I was hit by someone running a light and my insurance company recommended Dunshee as one of their top body shops. I wasn’t expecting to be impressed.Dunshee was able to get me right in. An employee (Ryan) met me at my car and went over what was expected of the repair. Ryan was knowledgeable and friendly. I received daily texts of the car’s progress. It was ready as expected. Heads up They no longer accept All-state or work on Audis. At the inspection for body work repairs, I was told after I had notified them that I had all state and was referred by Mapel Hill Auto Group that they dont accept all state and Are not doing work on Audis anymore. Seems like they want to get vehicles in and out and are not willing to get claims satisfied for the full work through all-state. Not sure why this couldnt have been communicated before I drove 45 minutes under the assumption that they would want some business.
Very friendly, professional, and cared about me as well as my vehicle. I was updated regularly about the status of the repairs. Once I needed to be contacted, and the manager even apologized for reaching out while I was on vacation. They are very caring to take special notes like that and remember those things. They lifted my Jeep 2.5 and gave me an alignment as well. I felt that the value given was very high. They went the extra mile by giving me daily updates, washing the outside and inside of my Wrangler (smells better than when it went in) and overall did great work. I am blown away by and so grateful for the job the Dunshee team did on my Subaru Crosstrek! My rear hatch was smashed by a branch falling in a strong windstorm and tiny pieces of glass covered nearly the entire interior of my car. They replaced the rear hatch and re-connected and matched everything perfectly. Not only does the outside of my car look **pristine**, they managed to completely remove all of the pieces of broken glass from the inside. The broken glass was honestly what had distressed me the most as I worried I’d be finding pieces in there forever and that it might not be safe for others to ride in the back seat for that reason. Instead it’s like it never happened! They even cleaned the floor mats which now look brand new again. I would highly recommend this team for any body work or detail repairs.

They dont call you to tell you its going to be longer. I had to call them on my way to the shop to find out itd be another week. And than another and than another. The customer service was terrible they over quoted and the work is okay at best. Dont go here if you need your car back soon. Definitely dont go here if you expect them to call you with updates. They prolonged this ordeal for more than a month and a half past the quoted time. Ridiculous to say the least and unacceptable for a business to run like this.
If your insurance company recommends this company dont take it to them they ruined my vehicle and then had the audacity to tell me it wasnt there fault I made the mistake of bringing my vehicle here only for them to damage it worse and refuse responsibility! Thankfully another mechanic has looked my vehicle and has determined the damage was done by a lift gee I wonder whos lift that was. Extremely unprofessional establishment that pays google to hide their poor reviews and on top of it on further investigation they openly have reviews on here left by bots. I.e. not real people just a program used to make it look like people are leaving positive reviews.
My truck received a heavy dose of hail, golfball size to baseball size. It was so bad Dunshee had to replace the hood and roof of my F150 and fix all the other dents caused by the hail. The truck looks newer than what it did before the hail damage. Body and paint work was top-notch. I would highly recommend them to anyone whos car vehicle is in need of body repair and or painting.

I have had nothing but Awesome experiences in dealing with Dunshee body and Frame. I recently had two vehicles worked on by them a car and a truck and they both looked absolutely beautiful when I got them back (and I am a very picky car person). They do high quality work and deliver on what they say they are going to do. One other nice thing about this business is that they want to do what is right for the customer not just for the insurance company or for the sake of getting the work completed but because quality in their work matters to them and it shows. Great people to work with when your ride is injured and you need a good dienostics of the entire situation for the repair and they keep you informed thru the entire process and you arrive on the other side with the car fixed as it looked before anything happened ! Called to get a quote on getting some Cab corners and rocker panels done and they wouldn’t work on my vehicle bet it was too old. I would recommend going to Grand Rapids about better shops and they’ll step up their game and take care of you.
Our roof was rusting out by the windshield on the passenger side about two years ago and had dunshee fix it, well come now it started rusting out again. The area from the factory lasted only 10 years, but dunshees fix only lasted two. Took it in, they took zero responsibility for it coming back again.

I’ve had my cars in a few body shops, but Dunshee by far exceeds all quality of work. They warrantied my paint from when a car wash damaged my car. They also detailed the inside at no cost as well. If anyone needs work done, I definitely recommend this shop!!
They have great customer service and do great work. You wouldnt even be able to tell my truck was ever hit. When they accidentally ordered the wrong grill they made it right, right away. They even went as far as to go out and buy my light up trailer hitch cover and installed it. Would highly recommend

Hit a deer over Memorial Day weekend so the shop was closed until Tuesday. I got a phone call from them with the initial estimate before noon...on Tuesday! They hopped right on the process. I sent them my insurance information and they handled the rest. They sent me continual updates throughout the whole process. They gave me an estimate that it would be done on a Friday by the end of the day, but got it to me on Wednesday at noon.Not only did they do great work on the repair itself, they were super friendly, professional, and helpful along the way. I would highly recommend Dunshee Body & Frame!

Bought tires online and needed to have them installed and balanced. also I was in need of an all wheel alignment. So I decided to give dunshee auto body a go because I figured they would do a better job then some chain automotive tire place. I definitely made a great choice. My mustang drives like its on rails. Rides Very smooth and drives straight on highway with no pull in either direction. I work during their business hours. However it was as easy as dropping my car off after work and picking it up the next evening. They called me when my car was done. I paid over the phone. The part I really appreciated was not only did they leave my receipt in car, but they also had a print out of my alignment specs before and after they worked on it. Great work and customer service Dunshee auto body and frame. I will be a returning customer in future. Forgot to mention how good on pricing they were!

Absolutely fantastic job. I got into a hit and run accident, Dunshee did a great job working with my insurance to get my car fixed. They did fantastic work and kept me in the loop the entire time with updates. When I went to pick up my car both inside & outside had been cleaned. They do get body work and on time work. They told me 3 to 4 days for a repair from a deer on my suburban and they were spot on and the repairs look like factory new. Would recommend to anyone needing body work.
The work completed on my car was exceptional. It looks brand new. All the lines are right where they should be and the paint and clear coat are perfectly blended with the rest of the car. Their master technician is a body work wizard.
Dunshee does the highest quality bodywork in the Kalamazoo area. I have had collision damage fixed elsewhere and been greatly disappointed. Never at Dunshee. The insurance company totaled my car out this time. Bummer. The only negative at Dunshee is that they are expensive. But, with collision damage you get what you pay for.

They over promised and under-delivered on repairs time. They added over 5,000 dollars in supplemental repair expenses and still added the 1,000 dollar deductible onto our final bill. While waiting for repairs, we spent thousands of dollars on rental vehicles. By the time we checked out our van was missing a cover for hanger hook and a tow bar hook cover was missing from the bumper. They did not originally offer discount or apologize for the extensions of estimated repair time. However, the owner did eventually follow up, and was very considerate. Thank you!

Excellent customer service!!! We were told by Auto Body USA that it would cost close to $1000 to fix our bumper that was hit in a parking lot. Dunshee buffed it out for free right on the spot. Joe the owner helped us and was kind, friendly and honest. I would definitely recommend Dunshee!
If you are told to come here by your auto insurance company, ask to go someplace else. This place is a rip off. Car was rear ended. You couldnt even tell anything was wrong with the car. However, yes, the impact bar was broken and the rear bumper as a whole needed to be replaced. BUT they tried to say the hatch needed to be replaced, too. They parted it out piece by piece: wiper, wiper motor, window, etc. All in all they said car was considered a loss. $4200 to fix it. The car is 2007, 74,000 miles. no rust, dents, problems, etc, car is in EXCELLENT condition. and with their estimate being so high, it was considered totalled. took it to another reputable auto body shop R&M and they are fixing it for about half the price - AND hatch didnt need to be replaced, just fix and paint the dent due to impact of bumper. There was no need to replace the wiper, wiper motor, window, since there was NO DAMAGE TO THE HATCH other than a minor dent. DUNSHEE is NOT a very honest business. They have not changed even over 10 yrs ago when another car was taken there due to insurance recommendations and they totalled that car, too. Took it to another auto business and they fixed it and insurance didnt total it. GO SOMEPLACE ELSE OR GET A 2ND OPINION BEFORE ITS TOO LATE.

Good work.... but they disassembled the damaged area before having the parts so my truck was laid up an extra week waiting for parts. If they had made sure they had parts first I could have just brought the truck back when they were able to fix it. Also, I’m in small business and understand prompt payment is important but I received two clarifications that payment was due in full or no truck back. The amount charged was in my estimation excessive but to top it off an addition supplimental charge was submitted to my insurance company, which thankfully they paid. This may be one of the reasons while insurance premiums are so high. I used this body shop because it’s a lease vehicle and the dealership recommended it. In previous years I’ve always used Carstar on Lovers Lane, friendy, fair, fast and the work is just as well done. Lesson learned.
I was driving through town and needed a plastic rocker cover reattached that day. After calling around for hours, they were the only shop that had availability to look at it. They repaired the plastic part, added it to my car and I was good to go. They gave me a fair price, they were able to work with me in my predicament, 10/10.
This is my second vehicle taken here for accident repairs. The paint and body looks great but mechanically Ive had on going issues since getting my vehicle back. I wont be bringing any future vehicles here again

Avoid at all costs! They will low ball your estimate, disassemble your vehicle and then call you to report a bunch of new things they found that will cost you a ton more. If you refuse the extra charges, they will threaten to charge you labor costs to reassemble your vehicle. Bunch of scam artists here! Beware!

I was informed that they do not repair Teslas in any way due to “warranty” concerns. Just a word of advice; electric vehicles are the future. You have lost a 15+ year customer for absolutely no reason. A Tesla door is the same as any other car door. I feel this is discriminatory against Tesla owners. You’ll only continue to thrive if you change with the times. Why not become the first Tesla certified shop in k-zoo?

2022-06-01Struck a deer and the next morning representative from Dunshee Auto Body called to inform me that they dont accept State Farm insurance! Said I have to find a State Farm authorized shop and that I owe a $310 towing bill before they will release the vehicle! Unbelievable, thanks Jake from State Farm!

2021-01-18I was involved in a small accident and my insurance recommended Dunshee, I gave it a try and I was not disappointed. Took my car there on Monday and got it back the next week. They were great and kept me informed the whole way. They did a great job and its as if the accident never happened. I definitely recommend.
