I was having an issue with my car and called around to find a local shop. They answered right away and were willing to take my car in asap. I dropped it off after work, they diagnosed it in the time frame they said, and it was ready to pick up in less than 24 hours from the time I dropped off! They took the time to thoroughly explain the issue and answered all my questions. Highly recommend!

We drove to the area to look at buying a car for our son, we wanted to have it inspected before purchasing and we were far from our own mechanic. We picked Elite Kar Care because it was near the dealership....and boy are glad we chose them! Hunter was so thorough and honest about what exactly was wrong with the car. We immediately felt comfortable. He saved the day, month..... life! We would have never been able to see what he saw when he got under the car. I wish we lived nearby, this would definitely be our new mechanic if we did! Thanks again for your honesty.
Ran into tire trouble after traveling to Taylor, MI from Nebraska. Major brand name businesses wouldnt help, but Elite was quick to tell me to come in and made time for the repair even though they were very busy. Great folks that go the distance for the customer and not just for $$$. Wouldnt hesitate to bring my car back.
Weve brought two different vehicles here for different issues (its close to where we live), and not one but BOTH vehicles have had to go get what these guys did re done because these guys didnt do the job right and wanted to charge us more and more every time we went. One mechanic wouldnt even touch one car, because this place is apparently KNOWN by other mechanics in the area for doing shotty work thats dangerous to come in and un do.. I wish I could give these guys no stars. I regret bringing our vehicles here. Never again.

When my 2016 Mercedes-Benz needed service I talked to all my friends about where they take their cars and then did a TON of research on those shops and Elite Kar Care was at the top of the list.I stopped in on a Monday morning and Craig told me that all the bays were full (which I took as a positive sign as honest shops are usually busy) but if I could drop it off Tuesday morning they could get everything done and I could pick it up that same day.I trust then with my Benz! so if your on the fence as to where to go that should tell you everything that you need to know right there.Mitchell U.
I highly recommend this shop!!! The owner of the shop squeezed me in on minutes notice. I had a backyard mechanic attempt to fix my Malibu, after being fed up I decided to take my car here. The owner was a very honest, informative and helpful person, he definitely took care of me when I was in a tough spot, not to mention he fixed my car and had it back to me within a few hours. I discovered a nail in my tire as I went to leave for a pretty important errand. We stopped at a gas station to put air in the tire and looked for a place close by to stop so we could see if the nail could be pulled out and the tire plugged. We found this establishment so we pulled in and asked if they could look at it. They were so busy and there wasn’t even a place for us to park. But they were more than willing to help and directed us to a spot where they pulled out the nail and plugged the tire. It was actually a screw that barely punctured the tire! They said no charge and sent us on our way. Really nice and helpful crew! We will be sure to return for future maintenance needs on our cars. Glad to give my business to this place. Highly recommend! If you have any car problems take your car to Elite Car Kare on Ecorse Rd in Taylor Mi. Speak to Hunter he is awesome, he help me out 2 times this week when i was in a jam. Hunter ( the manager) had to track me down after reading my review because he was determined to resolve the situation. Not only did Hunter call me , he also called my son then gave me a follow- up call the next day. 😊He was determined to keep me as a customer...to say I felt like a valued customer would be an understatement ! Not only are they very personable and nice here they are extremely fast and professional. The prices are very competitive and reasonable. I had some issues with my car making a noise and they were able to figure it out in a timely manner and didnt take me for a ride by doing more than necessary, my car is older and requires more maintaiance. I appreciated being provided with a list of issues and a rough timeline of how long I may have before Im in the dangerzone. Truly above and beyond service.
Car was checked in and said I would get a call by 3:00 to give estimate, they called at 2:30. Front suspension replaced, oil change and alignment done before time stated. Price was very good as was the service. There was not a long laundry list of work to be done nor was any added. We know this isn’t always the case, but it was refreshing to be the case. We have used Elite for years and are very satisfied with their service and integrity. If you are holding off getting your car work done because you think you will get ripped off I urge you to try Elite.
I was in desperate need to have my nieces car repaired and Elite came through for me quickly! What was originally thought as a starter issue ended up being an alternator. Took it in on Friday and had it back on Monday all fixed and other issues brought to my attention fixed! I cant thank them enough!

My car hadnt worked all winter, just wouldnt start and I had replaced everything to do with starting my dodge avenger. They were more than happy to tow, diagnose, and help solve the problem very quickly. In fact same day, and I was up and running again! Great people, and great service.
I had a huge coolet leak in my car. Hunter, the mechanic that was taking care of it for me, is a good and straight forward man. He wont hide anything from you and will run down the process step by step to make sure you know whats going on. My car was in and out within 24 hours. Overall, will go there again for any future car problems.

Every time I’ve brought my car here for either small repairs or large repairs (new engine or ECM replacement) they’ve gone far and beyond to help me. They’re going to tell you straight up what they are doing and are just straight to the point.
Had to replace my engine. Craig actually shopped around to find me the best deal possible, where other places I called just gave me set prices. You have to love a mechanic who actually cares about getting you the best possible deal. I’ve already gone back there for some tires and still give a five star rating!
If you ever need an Honest,hardworking, and might i say a very knowledgeable car repair expert then you need to talk to Hunter the manager they wasted no time in diagnosing,repairing and gave me an excellent price too. Once upon a time, these guys were great. I took my car in for a couple simple repairs. The first time I picked it up it wasnt right. The second time I picked it up, it wasnt right. The THIRD time I picked it up, it wasnt right. $2400 and over 2 weeks. Picked up the car today after being assured it was correctly repaired. Took it on a short drive to visit family. Engine light came on. Taking my care elsewhere. Either they didnt do the work they claimed they did or they did it incompetently. Either way, never going back there again.EDIT: The owner, Butch, got in touch with me. He was very concerned and apologetic. He quickly corrected the issue and I am now very pleased with the outcome. Its easy to say a business provides great service when everything goes right, but how they behave when it does not is equally important. When things went badly, Butch stepped up. I will remain an Elite Kar Care customer with confidence.EDIT: I was reminded of this review by Google. I felt obligated to add another edit. I actually continued having problems and went to another mechanic in the end. I havent been to Elite in over a year and wont be going back.

Today I came into elite car care to get my windshield wiper fix on my Pontiac G6 after they got finish fixing the windshield the mechanic Mike decided to look under my hood just to make sure everything else was okay. He came across a lot of things that are really dangerous 😣literally my car is a death trap , he showed me everything and he wasn’t trying to make me get them fix but he was very concerned for my safety, I could tell he wasn’t like most mechanics that would tell me anything so I would come out money , No he was just very concerned because I’m pregnant & shouldn’t be driving like this. I asked him to give him a estimate of how much everything would be for me to get fixed , & he did. Mike notice my tire was going bad and told me to look at it , he told me he could NOT let me leave like that and he gave me a tire☺️That was so nice & he is really a good person/mechanic that don’t just care about just getting paid . I really appreciate it and I’m coming back to get everything I need to get done on my car.

Took my Lincoln MKX in for a front end alignment a few days ago and, got a great service, fast and friendly people. Sam did the alignment and was really friendly and professional. Price was $67 and some change, very reasonable and fair!
Always had great service here but they put defective break pads on my car the last time I was there a couple years ago and I only just found out when I got my pads changed a couple weeks ago. I doubt it was on purpose but it still sucks. The 4-5 other jobs they did on my cars in the past were always priced well and done awesomely.
I always take my car here when it needs fixed, hunter is amazingly caring to make sure all the important stuff is taken care of before the little things just to keep you safe on the road I will continue using their shop for all my cars needs
Ive gone to Butch and Company (aka Elite) since 08 or 09 at least. They have always gone above and beyond until about a year or so ago. I mean really stepped up and helped me out when I didnt think we could afford our rent. Butch was always so nice and willing to help you no matter what. We move and they happen to open a new shop down the road from us on Ecorse in addition to the one on Telegraph. Craig is the general manager there and continues the superb work at the new location. One time I swear they noticed me frantically looking at the back of my credit cards looking for the phone number to check my balances.I mean I cant tell you enough how much these guys have helped us prior to a year ago! Over the past 6 months ago I had taken my car there to get looked at, I decided to not get the work done as it would cost too much for a car that was 15+ years old. I was told that they would still need to charge me $75 to get looked at. They ran tests I wasnt aware that they were running and told me since they ran those tests it would cost that much. To get one of the things fixed it would run $125 so instead of paying $75 for nothing I had them fix the $125 repair.Around the same time we were looking to buy a used car so I called to see if they could inspect the potential car we were going to buy. They said $45 at the Ecorse location. We were going to be closer to the Telegraph location so I decided to call that location as well. Butch said $75 for the low end inspection and then over $100 for the inspection to check brakes and other safety features. So I decided to go to the Ecorse location. They said they were contacted by the Telegraph location to charge us at least the $75 inspection. I got there and we left without the inspection.Recently I found a new place that does good quality work who is trying to help his customers and he is great!
I been driving my vehicle for about 3 years now and I have only needed a new battery and a oil change. I noticed changes in the way my vehicle was starting to respond such as when I place the key in the ignition it acted as it did not want to start. My vehicle would take 2-3 seconds to catch up and then I was able to drive. Although, I could drive smoothly on the road this alarmed me. It was brought to my attention that a headlamp on the passenger side was dim. I decided to go to autozone for a diagnostic and they recommended for me to get new sparks because the equipment they used did not respond. I wanted to see what was wrong with my vehicle right away, this was urgent, and I was nervous. Meanwhile, the holiday is coming up and Im looking to see if my shop is open on a Friday after 6PM that I normally go to in Taylor MI. They are not, I noticed this Elite Kar Service at glance. I go into Elite Kar Service and requested for a diagnostic. I explained the things I was experiencing with my vehicle in detail. They said that they were busy, but advised me to bring my vehicle on a Saturday at 8 AM and it would be looked at soon, that is my best bet because I would be there at the store opening. This sounded good and I was all for it! I dropped off my vehicle, I reiterated the things that were wrong and the service guy over the counter was taking notes. The service guy, which I didnt catch his name because he speaks quickly over the phone nor did he introduce himself when I walked in, he asked did I have a ride home, if not then let him know and he will have his guy take me home. I thought this was a generous gesture because I never had someone take me back home. I outsourced and needed a ride back, I thought this would be a good deal because they can actually experience the things I mentioned that I noticed was wrong. (Yes, they drove my vehicle to take me home)Time went from 8AM-3PM and I had to keep calling to get a diagnostic completed. Your kidding me, it took 7 hours literally for them to finish my estimates. I got my estimates and WOW, did they overcharge and say the work is not the issue the parts are expensive. My first issue was a throttle body aftermarket and it costed $289 for the part in my SUV. I found a online place for this part exactly and a brand new one was only $100, a used one was $50. This is one thing I noticed that the quoted prices were ridiculous. Moving forward, I was ready to pick up my vehicle. As soon as I come back to pick up my car, I noticed the linen on the window seal was loose and I never had that occur before, I placed it back down and I decided to drive because I just wanted my vehicle back. My home is 20 mins away from the shop, Im driving the first 10 mins it was driving ok and then it started to shake on the road. I called Elite Kar Service explaining that my vehicle is driving worst and the service man over the counter said We didnt do nothing to your vehicle, we just changed the busted headlamp, and that was it, if its shaking the throttle body is getting worse My vehicle was not shaking when John the mechanic drove my car and I been driving my car 2 weeks prior without experiencing this shake before. They didnt even tell me to bring the vehicle back!!! I had to take it home and get on the freeway, when I did, Thank God I arrived home SAFE! my vehicle did not even start back up. WOW! My life was in danger and all I can say is, they were greedy and did not care about the vehicle. This was not customer service at all, the reaction was your SOL. This business is not honest or right and if they were, they would of looked at my concerns further especially since I addressed it immediately. They Act like they care, but they really dont it is a facade. Not only that, they didnt take responsibility for the damage that was incurred by them messing with my cords.
I took my traverse in for a tune-up and some exhaust work very professional and friendly does excellent work I highly recommend if youre having any car problems take it to Mr Hunter at elite car Care He is a all hands on deck type of guy and he stands behind his mechanics if you want it done right take it to elite car Care ecorse road Taylor Michigan I highly recommend it
I typically do not like to write reviews. This shop is by far one of the most professional places of business, I have ever had the plesure of have my vehicle worked on. As long as you go there with a written estimate from a professional Shop with a quality part because the service writer will be upfront and honest with you about the labor rate and the pricing and warranty on parts the old saying goes you get what you pay for and its true. they do not like to put janky parts that will not last on your vehicle. Heres the short of it you get what you pay for. Im a man of Jesus and I could never tell a lie. try this place out see for yourself its worth it both shops have shown me at least that they will live up to their name on the sign elite which means Best of the Best and I commend you hard working men on your talented efforts and precision diagnosis. Dropped my rims and tires off to have the tires swapped on them at 2:30pm on 12/14 was told he was going to try to get them done by the end of the day if not early next day. Call them at 12:30pm on 12/15, nope still not done asked if they will be done by 2 oclock. Was reassured they will be done by 2. Show up at 230pm, not done. Was told they would be done by 3:30pm no problem. Here i am again at 3:30pm waiting for them to finish.

Stay away from this place and anyone who works here, I am no master mechanic and neither is anyone who works here, They sell you junk yard parts and charge for refurbished and have no clue what they are doing. It is only a matter of time before the state shuts them down and in my opinion they should go to jail, but that is just my opinion. See for yourself, take YOUR car there and judge for yourself. You have been warned.

Had my truck this shop for weeks...they diagnose the issue, told me a price. Fixed it then told me they didnt fix the issue. They had to take it apart again and spend countless hours on it to RE-DO the work and I get charged.
BUYER BEWARE... Awful experience with Elite Kar Care. We paid $449.76 on February 14, 2018 for services that was never provided towards repairing the issue. The car was taking back to the shop on April 9, 2018 for the same problem. On April 29, 2018 our car broke down again for the same problem. They lied about fixing the car the second time. They are not trying to help with correcting the problem. DO NOT use Elite Kar Care they are not professionals and do not do the work as promised.

Update , 5 months ago I took a old work truck to Elite car on Ecourse rd To have a shift cable put in it the new mechanic broke the covers over the steering column, When I question him about it he said it was already like that and to just wrap duct tape around it after all it was just old work truck, I was quite upset and wrote a bad review about it, The very next day the manager called me and wanted to know the whole story When I explained to him what happend He told me that it doesnt matter if its a $300 truck or 30,000 dollar truck they dont do business that way, He apologized ordered the new covers and fixed it its hard to find a repair shop that will stand behind their work Whether theyre right or wrong. Fast forward I just took my other pick up to Craig over at the Ecourse shopAnd told him that I was told by my friends that it needed a radiator He told me it would be about $400 I told him to go ahead and put one in after all Elite car care Has always been the cheapest and had the best prices The next day crag called me and told me that it was just a rotted hose clamp ,he could have put a radiator in it and not said anything but he was honest about it, I was upset when that happened with my old work truck but I guess nobodys perfect if youre looking for a place that stands behind their work and is honest I suggest going to either of the Elite car care repair shops, I once again will be taking all my vehicles there for service, So if you want good service cheap prices and honesty go see Craig at Elite car care on Ecorse rd.

They had my car for three days straight and didnt even check my car out nor give me a call to tell me what was going on with my car, I had to call up there and ask why was my car still sitting in the same spot, they lied and tell me my car needed a ton of work done on it , come to fine out everything they was saying needed done to it wasnt even the probably with my car at all
The owner is honest and fair which is extreamly hard to find but the lengthy repair times are a slight hassle but thats expected with his work load... that shop is always busy.
Service was slow. Waited on my exhaust to be welded for 5 hrs when said it would be done in a hr. And charged more then was told organal price

This is the worst place ever.They lie about quotes. They lie about warranties. They tell you to leave your car. For three hours but eight hours later they still havent touched your car.
Friendly staff, but take on more than they can handle left some parts there they said it would take 3hrs, called them 4 & 6 hours later and ended up having to pick them up before they closed without being serviced

2022-02-17Hunter and the gentlemen at this shop are always reliable and do incredible work. They go out of their way to make sure youre taken care of, as well as offering better than normal pricing. I always appreciate that they communicate their findings quickly and efficiently and dont try to oversell you on parts you dont need yet just to make an extra buck. Their work is quality and I will continue to go back whenever I experience issues with my car, as well as referring people who need a great shop for their work. Theyve had my business for the better part of a decade and will continue to have it for as long as they are around!

2022-05-06Hunter and his crew took amazing care of us. They were far more detailed and upfront with everything that needed to be replaced and repaired, than the dealership where we had originally taken it. They went above and beyond. Not to mention how FAST they were. Our vehicle was at the dealership for almost a month just waiting to be diagnosed. Elite had our vehicle picked that Friday and was done by Monday. Highly recommend these guys. Will be forever customers. Thanks Hunter again you guys are amazing!!

2022-07-01If you need a reliable repair shop this is the place!! Very good price for the amount of work that needed done to my truck. They are friendly, will explain everything that needs done and won’t “steer” you wrong. The service was fast as well. This will be the place that I take my truck for repairs from here on out.

2022-03-22Came in and had a broken flex pipe, they repaired it well with a decent price. The welds were great and had no leaks. I had another issue with exhaust backfiring through the pipes making a leaking noise from a cherry bomb, put on by the previous owner. They took it right off and slapped a piece of normal pipe on there no questions asked and didn’t even charge me. I give this place a 5 start rating and highly recommend, they don’t play around when it comes to your safety and others safety on the road. Definitely coming back If I have any other issues with what they specialize in.
