Comment: Ive always had positive experiences renting from the San Ramon location, but this recent trip was far from ideal. I arrived at 8am for my 9am pick-up, expecting a smooth process. Unfortunately, the young associate who helped me seemed annoyed by my early arrival and questioned the validity of my corporate discount code despite booking through my work email. The car I was initially offered had a near-empty gas tank, and the associate made me feel like I was being difficult when I requested a vehicle with a fuller tank. Upon returning the car the night before, I realized Id left my sunglasses inside. The next morning, the manager seemed equally unbothered by my situation and simply walked away to check without any communication.Thankfully, I eventually got my sunglasses back, but the overall experience with the staff at this location was a stark contrast to my previous rentals. Due to this interaction, Im hesitant to rent from here again in the future.

On the day of travel, we walk in and find that we don’t have a van. The replacement vehicle would be a 15 seater. Ruined our plans for the travel. So disappointed.

We had a difficult family situation that caused us to make a last minute reservation and, ultimately, we were sent to the San Ramon location. We were helped in a timely matter, accommodated, and on the road! THANK YOU!

Comment: They play with a pricing I book the car online and I called them to make sure if the car available they say we don’t have this kind of cars and we’re gonna change it for you with the same price. After that he told me I have to upgrade from 70 to 1 fifty $ car a day And I have to pay the different and when I come here to receive the car is not the same whatever you told me by phone and when I ask the guy inside for the customer service number to make a complaint, they told me oh you can found it online. Don’t know the number for enterprise customer service, and when I ask them why did you change the price ZC the guy inside? He just get hired new and he didn’t know the price and he didn’t know how to deal with the prices.

Went to Enterprise to pick the car to get shocked that they do not have electric cars. The branch in San Ramon is not sure why I was told that the electric car is ready and fully charged. Complete miss. Add to that they use Cr cards and I was not told about that over the phone while confirming booking.

Comment: My insurance company made a reservation for a car for me while mine is getting body work done. Got an confirmation email. I confirmed the reservation for this morning. Received an email that they would pick me up at the shop at 8:15am. No one showed. The body shop called San Ramon and they said he should call Dublin (the body shop is in Dublin). Dublin said he should call San Ramon. San Ramon then said they have a car for me. Nothing about picking me up. Had to Uber to work so I wouldnt be late. Then had to get a ride to the San Ramon office. No explanation (other than that body shop is on the border of the San Ramon and Dublin offices territory What? I dont care.) And no apology. Cant wait to be done with this so I can never deal with them again.

Comment: Update:went to this place this morning and the young gentleman was super helpful. Although the car I reserved wasnt available, he gave me a luxury upgrade for basically just dollars more. He didnt really walk to check the cars for me, he ran. I owe that young man one and he refused to take the tip money I offered. Ive been renting with Enterprise for years and their service has been consistently great and I believe the reason is that this company has employees like this young guy. thank you.my review a year ago:Very friendly and helpful staff and super smooth pick-up and return. When they know that I was heading to Tahoe, they upgraded my reservation to a 4-wheel drive at a more than reasonable price. These guys are like my friends who really care about me in every aspect during the business and that’s why I always choose Enterprise and they really keep up the good work.

I did notice some vehicles with stains on the seats that refused. I think they could easily earn five star ⭐️ by making sure they don’t offer vehicles with stains to others. A simple solution might be a chair cover.

Who is one of the most friendliest person ever …this guy is very knowledgeable he takes time to ask how is your day he wants to know what you’re doing for the weekend and he wanted to make sure the car that I was in was pleasing to me … when I return the rental car And b4 I left with the rental..my husband’s automobile was not yet finished at the body shop and OBINNA was very sad to hear that and wanted to know how he could help Because when I return the car My husband’ had no car to drive.. I’m going to check to see how AAA handles this My husband’s car was in the shop for 30 days and still not finished & Once again I returned the rental our 30 days was up as AAA said!!excellent customer service keep up the good work young man.. He was really concerned that my husband did not have an automobile to drive !! He also gave me a ride home.I spoke with a male manager the first day I rented at Enterprise and I told him I really didn’t know how to operate the car and I would try to figure it out…thought he would come show how and he didn’t… That’s OK!!!OBINNA addressed my concernsthe second day …because I came back a second day to change the credit card payment and he wanted to know if he could help me he heard me talkingI will come back to Enterprise because of the hospitality these young men showed me there was another young man by the name of Edwin my visit with him was very short-lived but he had a wonderful personality as well

Im not sure if this is a safety thing or not. They told me they had the identical car on hand. However, they refused to hold it for me to swap out. They expected me to be there immediately in order to rectify THEIR problem. This has been enormously disappointing.

It was closing time and despite being out of vehicles, everyone in the office worked together to figure out a solution. They waited with me after hours for a late return to come in and then like a pit crew the processed the previous driver, cleaned the car and checked me out in quick order. So grateful.

Comment: I rented a car for one day, picked it up in the morning, returned it after hours on the same day. They told me this is a one day rental charge and gave me the appropriate invoice. However, four days later they charged me for two days.When I called them, they lied to me and said they had footage of me returning the car after two days rather than one day. They said they will share the footage with me and did not get back to me. Of course they couldnt, because the footage does not exist, they were simply gaslighting me. Then, they lied to me again and said their policy is to charge me for two days regardless and gaslighted me again (!) saying they told me this before.When I called them now on the fourth day straight, they claim to have issued an adjustment with my bank. I asked for a simple email stating that they have issued this adjustment and it will get processed in a few days. They promised to email this to me and right away to get me off the phone, and never did.This office is run by a bunch of scammers who will do a bait and switch on you and lie to you repeatedly. Please take your business elsewhere.

I recently had to get a rental car because my previous car was totaled; Ive been so emotionally stressed dealing with insurance and the pea-brain who hit my own vehicle. Wish the young man who got me set up with the rental had been a bit more attentive about making sure I understood some of the basic functions of the car (e.g. took me awhile to figure out how to release the brake lock).The thing I really was displeased with was how much the rental rate had gone up from last time I had rented with them. It was 3 times higher than one of their competitors rates for a comparable car. Unfortunately the competitor was out of cars when I checked with them. Wont be renting from Enterprise anytime in the future.

Comment: I made a reservation and selected the Managers Special based on pricing and the thought I could get a great deal on a roomy vehicle however upon arrival I was shown something similar in size comparable to a Chevy Aveo. I even spoke with Brannon Wong (Branch Manager) prior to confirming/making my reservation and stated how I needed space since I have a 4 year old who sits in a car seat and that I would be travelling to Bodega Bay for his birthday that same weekend. I even mentioned how an SUV would be best for me or at least something comparable in size. He said no worries and how I would be taken care of. What an insult to see the vehicle they tried placing me in. What made matters worse was the pricing they offered me to go up in size to a standard sized vehicle: $365/week to be exact. I almost walked off because my previous experience with Enterprise has never been so SALES LIKE ... Prior to Brannon presenting me with the Managers Special vehicle he probed a bit to see what kind of vehicle I own and what type of work I do. My response prompted him to pull the card he did which was to bait me while I was there to spend way more then I should have. Had I not been on my Ps & Qs I wouldve fell for his little pricing game. I immediately logged into the Enterprise website and made a same day reservation only to find a new weekly rate for $171/week for a full size vehicle. When I communicated that to Brannon and his counterpart who was outside I got immediate silence. Brannon went back inside and I then asked his counterpart outside when did they become so sales oriented towards customers. His response was he only does what hes told to do. I work for Bosley who I know does a lot of business with Enterprise although this transaction was not one of Bosleys. I have never felt so dissatisfied before. Its really unfortunate!

Comment: While I will say the experience was great in the sense that they were quick with both picking up the suv and dropping it off. I was disappointed that I requested a specific vehicle and even though they had one sitting in their lot they gave me another make and model. I paid for premium suv and didn’t feel like that’s what I got. Also their pick up process was frustrating. The guy told them that he had called me and was waiting for 15 min but I literally had to call them to find out where he was because I never got a call. I also gave specific instructions on where to pick me up and he didn’t follow them so I had to walk half a block to find him. All in all I gave a four star because the processing was quick and the car didn’t have any issues.

Comment: I rented a SUV for one day starting 11am on Saturday till 11am on Sunday.When i was renting it, the front desk employee told me that i could return it around afternoon because they do not get to the checking the cars until Monday morning. So i returned it around 3pm and they charged me for 2 days.I ended up paying $280 instead of $140. They agreed that it was a miscommunication since their guy checks the parking lot for cars at 1pm on Sunday and they recently started doing this. The car was sitting at my house since 10am and i paid extra for that.

Comment: This is referencing two Enterprise agreements on 12/5/19 and 12/6/19.7WPBNM. I did not receive any feedback email for these two incidents.12/4/19I scheduled a rental pickup for a full size car at the San Ramon location. The person said yes your car will be ready. When I got there, my car was not ready. So they said all they have is a Hyundai Elantra (a step down). I agreed since they messed up. When i got into the car I noticed the left brake lamp went out. I went back and they said now that all they have left is a Hyundai Accent (another step down!). I was frustrated after waiting almost 45 minutes for this dilemma. I accepted and finallly left. I have decided that I will swap cars the following morning towards my destination. I created another reservation at the Vacaville location, hoping there will be a full size car for me.7WSSN312/5/19I stopped by the Vacaville location. A person helped me and got me into a full size For Fusion Hybrid. He said that the car needs a quick wash and will need to take it to the back. I said no problem. As the car left the lot towards the back, I noticed one of the brake pads had a scratching sound as if the brakes were rubbing against metal. I immediatley notified the person who helped me and he also heard the sound as well. He swapped me with another Ford Fusion Hybrid. I was finally on my way to my destination.I have rented from Enterprise many times and I have never experienced bad cars like this, especially ones that have safety issues. When I returned the car to the Walnut Creek location, the person who did my final paperwork said that he cannot give me a final agreement as the branch manager(s) will need to reach out to you. This is unacceptable and he expected that there should be some compensation. I have not received any phone calls from any managers. Just agreements with tiny discounts.I have called Enterprise customer service to follow up on this. The lady who helped me said the district manager will give me a call. She did not specify when he would call, its whenever they want to call me.So far not one manager has called me. Very disappointing at Enterprise.I guess I will start looking elsewhere for rental cars.

Comment: The service provided by the Enterprise Rent-A-Car employees was exceptional. Picking up the car and turning it in took a minimal amount of time. The employees were very friendly. My only complaint was the about the vehicle itself. I rented a 7 passenger Infinity SUV and I expected it to have all the high-end features of luxury car. But it didnt have many safety features like blind spot indicators. Also the car was not cleaned before it was turned over to me. But the biggest fault was the last person to rent this vehicle was a smoker although was a non-smoking car. I could not get rid of the cigarette smoke smell for a week. Fortunately, I was compensated by the Enterprise employees for the problems I had with the vehicle.

Comment: Due to a faulting vehicle, I had to reserve a car so that the family and I could drive down to Disneyland for a few days. I placed the reservation in the morning and received a confirmation. The Enterprise facility closed at 6 PM so I had to rush from work to fight the Friday traffic so that I could get there in time. I arrived at 5:50 PM only to be told that there were no cars left. They gave me the option of going to Dublin to pickup a small car (honda civic size), but that was all that could be done. I mentioned it was 5 total with two car seats and bags and that size car would not work. They had no options for me and we were stuck scrambling in the evening and ultimately had to drive our questionable vehicle to LA. If I would have been notified beforehand so that I had time to schedule a car elsewhere, everything would have been fine. Things happen, maybe cars are not returned, but management should always keep the Customer informed and if a shortage is assumed, then priority should be notifying those that might be out of luck.

They called us 3 days before of our reservation (on Christmas, so there was no other car available in any other company either) to tell us they were not going to rent us a car. First they claimed it was for a new policy due to location, and that we should try at the branch in Hayward. When this turn out to be fake (words of their own customer service), they said it was for another policy with the driver license that was very rigid and couldnt be avoided, which I dont believe because I had rented from them (two months) before and they never said anything about that. Besides, if this was the issue, then no other branch could have rented us a car (which they have in the past) and they wouldnt have told me first to go to the Hayward branch. They have been giving me false information, both the costumer service who told me the day before that my car would be ready, and the branch manager who looked for any possible escape so he didnt have to rent us a car. My take on this, they didnt have enough cars and didnt want to take responsibility of overbooking. Because it was so close to the date, we couldnt find another car, we couldnt cancel our hotel reservation, sky passes either... basically, they ruined our Christmas.I will never rent again from Enterprise... and I will advice others to do the same.

They would not except my credit card saying they were pre-paid cards, insinuating I didnt have proper credit, and he didnt know how to properly run my card so the PIN was not needed. When I was finally able to get the car it was dirty inside and out, and the same rude supposed Ast manager that treated horribly simply replied Ill give you a $1 off coupon for the car wash around the corner. When asked, the rep tried to wipe it with a cloth, which did not help much and finally gave up. I had no time to wait and get it cleaned.Inside the van also the story was no different. Both are not acceptable.Gas level : In all my previous rentals, the gas was always full, and if it was not, I was told at the time of picking up the vehicle. This time, within 100 miles, the gas indicator showed amber and then red ... and thats when I came to know that the tank was not full. I had scramble to find a nearest gas station and I was on the verge of getting stranded on the I-5 Freeway. With a family, getting stranded on a freeway is no good status. This is totally NOT acceptable.

About 20 minutes later (almost an hour since I had originally arrived) I confronted them asking for anther car, in a different class if they had to, because it had been so long and I needed to get back to work.They did upgrade me to a small SUV, which made the experience overall OK. After mentioning the obvious to the representative, which she did notice herself, she decided to give me another vehicle. I drove it for 5 days. On and off, we would get a strong odor of garbage. I was only there for a short time so I didnt want to take the tedious time to return it and get another. When returning the car to SFO, I mentioned it 3 times to the representatives there that there was a strong garbage odor and should look into it. Without apology, they advised I should tell the San Ramon office. The car cost over $300 for 5 days. I think $60 plus a day for an under average uncleaned vehicle is a bit high due to all the other options. Unsatisfied and disappointed with customer service.

The car I ended up renting had bad brakes, so I had them call another location and I drove to pick up another vehicle at the Dublin office. They were packed with people but got me out in a reasonable amount of time. The vehicle they assigned me was a Nissan Rogue. Very safe, comfortable vehicle, however, it was FIlTHY. I think whoever rented it before me was very sloppy and nobody bothered to clean it out before renting it out to me. Someone had spilled either coffee or chocolate all over in the back floor on the carpet. I went to put my suitcase in the back and ended up just leaving it on the seat because the carpet was so disgusting.Although I picked up the car from Dublin, the San Ramon office allowed me to bring it back to San Ramon and then they gave me a ride home. That made it convenient.
