Comment: I come here not only because of its convenient location but because the team here is solid group of friendly and professional individuals. When I say team, I mean down to the drivers and detailers.I rent a car on a weekly basis through my work. The guys & gals here get me in as quick as they can, and get me out as quickly too.There was one incident where I waiting for more than 2 hours on a busy Monday and I ended up missing my appointment in Reno, NV. I brought my concern to the manager and expressed how this delay affected my own work. I expressed how attention should be paid to contracts such as my employer and state contracts should be prioritized as they have appointments or meetings that may be 2 hours away. Ever since that day, the guys get me in and out.I truly appreciate the attention this location gives to their customers, especially those that return on a weekly basis.I will continue coming here not solely because of the convenient location but because the team here has gone above and beyond to address issues that arise and the rapport they build with their customers.

Comment: We rent a Hybrid Chrysler Pacifica. The battery is almost dead, never show more than 1 or 2%. So we basically were driving several hundred of miles dragging a dead battery around with us. Hybrid sounds appealing but a bad choice for rental.Enterprise gave us less than 1/4 tank of gas. So we had to fill up before the trip. Then before returning the minivan, we have to put back 1/4. If there is more than 1/4, Enterprise benefits. If there is less than 1/4, Enterprise will charge you with a higher gas price. This gas policy sucks big time.UPDATE: The manager at this location have reached out to us. We appreciate his attention and resolution to these issues.

Comment: I’ve rented from enterprise already over 10years, this location in Elk Grove could be a lot better. The staff is a hit or a miss this last time. Staff was pretty good but previous time staff has been not accommodating. This location the cars are extremely dirty. They throw them through a wash. They don’t even dry them. I had to the previous time take the car after picking it up and bring it and spend my money to wash the car because it was so dirty. i’ve noticed this. They do not care at all. I’ve had to go all the way to 16th St. and downtown Sacramento to be accommodated. Their staff down there is absolutely fantastic. My insurance only were covering me $40 a day and they had $40 day cards, but they went ahead and upgraded me with no problems at all, and they had plenty of other cars there that they could’ve put me in, but I got put in a fully loaded F150 platinum, and I also was put into a Ford expedition limited. again, my feedback for the elk Grove store it’s not horrible, but it could be a lot better like back in the day. I just think customer service is key. I’m extremely big on customer service and elk Grove location doesn’t have it anymore. They just need their cars to be much cleaner and not trash and customer service needs to be a lot better and they need to be more accommodating to their customers on their situation.

Comment: My car was in an accident and I needed a rental. Enterprise Rental happened to be a block away from the body shop. For convenience sake I went to Enterprise. The body shop had sent over my info and by the time I got their they had my info and within 10 minutes I was in a car. It probably would have faster by there was a person ahead of me. When I returned the car, the service was the same. However this time I was done in 5 minutes. Hopefully my car is not involved in anymore accidents, but if it is, Ill be getting my rental from Enterprise.

Had an issue with connecting. Kept connecting and un-connecting so wasnt able to use it. When I checked back in, Gonzolo took care of me and gave me a $25 credit. YAY! I rented a vehicle from the Enterprise Roseville office had an oh issues with the office folks, but the car really smelled like cigarette smoke. Therefore, I went to exchange it at the Elk Grove enterprise, and spoke with their manager, who had told me all he had was an electric car which I chose to try. Unfortunately, the electric cars do not charge adequately on 110/120 electric power, therefore I took it back to try to get an electric car. This is were it went downhill. I remained there for 3 hours waiting for a car and I saw multiple people show up to pick up cars to rent. I spoke with one of the customers who told me she did not have a reservation. She was there to start a new rental, which she immediately got.The manager Taylor Howse did not want to come out and talk to me. I chose to check the electric car in and went home without a car.Go to other location if you can.

The rental was near new, but close to 50,000 miles for 2 years old, interior was not absolutely clean, obviously quick turn around, because the outside was dirty, at least they could have their own car wash to run cars through to turn over rentals instead of quick wipe downs.As for the purchase department, I was highly disappointed in my scheduled appointment. I had tagged a few cars to test drive/look at at the Elk Grove location, which the automated reservation system approved. I showed up with my carfax info on the cars I tagged, which the sales agent was visibly irritated at, then stated those vehicles were not on the lot, but only had 1 vehicle close to my choice. My sales agent was young with his hair slicked back and kept smiling when I was asking questions, like he didnt know anything about cars, but was going to win me over with a smile. I asked for a test drive, and he pulled the he had to ask his manager for permission. I said if he doesnt have permission to do sales without a manager holding his hand, then we were done. I had other appointments for test drives, and then he tried to educate me on how other dealers bait and switch prices. Obviously, he forgot I had a binder of cars with carfax info and I had been asking specific car questions that he couldnt answer about his own cars in his inventory for sale because on lot vs on website were different. A waist of my time. I spent 15 minutes and realized I was talking to a joker, someone who played games, and had no authority to sell cars without management.

Comment: My son and I had a terrible experience with Enterprise. When my sons car was totaled from a car accident, we were referred to them by our insurance company. Once the rental was returned my son was charged $93. Why, not sure since the insurance company covers the cost of the rental. When he called Enterprise to find out about the charge, he was told he received a car upgrade that cost more than what the rental car would cover. He stated he was not aware he received an upgrade. He didnt pick the car he took what Enterprise gave him. If he was made aware of any of this info (he was getting an upgrade, he would pay out of pocket, insurance company would not cover beyond $40 a day) he would not agree to this vehicle. But he cant agree to something he was not made aware of. he was told to come and speak to a manager. What a terrible experience when he spoke to the Assistant manager, Jose Veronica at store #68. He was told that he was aware of the charge and thats it, no resolution. The manager wasnt even polite. This is horrible customer service!! My son and I are both in customer service and this is not how you handle a problem. This could have been resolved so easy by the manager and he could have at least have been polite at the bare minimum. So after the stress of having your car totaled and trying to make it to work every day, we now are getting over charged and the companys representative doesnt care or even make an attempt to resolve! I would hope that this isnt the experience that Enterprise wants its customers to have. We didnt get any resolution and walked away with a poor taste in our mouths from a company that made us feel our problem wasnt important and we didnt matter.

Comment: I have only ever rented with Enterprise but this experience was NOT great and I may never rent with them again. Starting with the pick up at the Elk Grove, CA location, they messed up my drop off location and I had to call to be sure that we were still okay with dropping off at the Oakland airport. Besides that, they offered the gas package and so I decided to do that considering stopping at a gas station in Oakland these days is not safe. I didnt realize I would be charged for 13 gallons of gas regardless of how much I used so I used a quarter of a tank - likely no more than 3 gallons and still had to pay for 13 gallons. This is very sneaky. On our way back from Hawaii, we had decided to rent a car to drive us home from the Oakland Airport to Elk Grove, CA. Our flight landed at 10:05 and the Enterprise closes at 10:30 so I left my husband and two little kids at the baggage claim and I headed to the car rental place. They told me there that I had to use a credit card unless I had a roundtrip flight. If I had a roundtrip flight, I could use my debit card which also has a VISA symbol on it. They were going to strand me. All other rental car terminals were closed and they did not care. I offered an extra deposit. I eventually ended up having to charge a credit card that I dont use but I just feel like none of these policies are made clear. Why cant a customer use cash? This is a horrible policy and doesnt make sense. I hope Enterprise will do better in accommodating their customers and if not, they need to make their policies more clear.

Comment: TERRIBLE TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE !!!First of all, why would you rent someone a car that smells.. don’t you guys clean it??? And why would you say that, that car is a AWD even though its not.. okay so I booked a AWD SUV and to make sure I will have the car we needed I called before the day I booked it and they said they do have a 7 seater AWD. So I was confident we will have no problem..but when it was my turn to pick up the car they said they don’t have it. I keep asking them for it they were only giving me a 7 seater SUV the guy helping me out he was cool but he know himself the car he’s giving me is not AWD so i went inside enterprise and try to talk to the other guy Jose and told him the situation and he said he has nothing to give me but that same car the Jet is giving me and I keep asking for other car and he said oh I can’t give you any other car coz those people waiting in line it might be theirs. That made me think I reserved my car too then why Im not getting my car right and they getting theirs?? And I guess just end our discussion Jose told me its a AWD even though its not! I was just gonna get it before he said that..coz me and my family had somewhere to be and its been planned and I don’t want it to be ruined! So I just took the car and it smells like someone smoked weeds in there i can’t do anything about it anymore i even tried calling enterprise again to see if they have other car but Jose told me i spoke with you and we don’t have any car for you.. I even tried calling other renting car place but they all booked for the day..no choice we have to be somewhere and it’s been planned so i tried spraying it with freshener hoping the smells will go away..and it did for a little bit..even bought car vent fresheners until we were in the middle of our car ride it gets stronger the whole car smells!!! And I feel terrible my whole family is in there and I have a 7 month old baby!!! Could you imagine 2-3hrs car ride with that smells in there for the baby??? TERRIBLE!!! I’ve been a customer since 2009 and been using Enterprise this is the first time I experienced this kind of car and situation.. when I returned it Jet is the one that assisted me and ask me how was it and I told him my complaints and told him about the smells and he was just like “oh yeah i can smell it” he tried giving me a discount but i said its okay I don’t need it but he insisted. Jet is cool.

The process was smooth and best of all, simple!The best part of the experience is the customer service. I was offered transportation to and from Enterprise. I was picked up in front of my apartment by a very kind and pleasant employee and taken the their car lot. Upon return, I literally stepped out of my rental car and was greeted by an employee who took my keys and escorted me to the driver who took me back to my apartment.All very fast and efficient. I cant even think of a way they could make it a better experience.

Comment: I did not want to share this on Google, I was hoping I could have kept this within Enterprise only survey, but they keep reminding me via email to let them know about my experience so here it is.Let me start by saying this is the 1st time I was let down by the wonderful Enterprise group of people. I stay with Enterprise because of brand loyalty.Why 1 star if I am such a fan? I reserved a premium vehicle for a long drive with family and luggage down from Northern CA to San Diego. I wanted to be in comfort. I had to use 3 rental reward days because of the timing of Saturday closing at noon and rental office being closed on Sunday and Monday (New Years day). I was fine with that.I was called 3 days ahead from Enterprise to confirm my reservation. I confirmed my vehicle as a premium rental and days I needed and time I would arrive. He told me they would be open at 730, I did not bother to fact check him, just assumed he knew their own hours of operation.When I arrived, at 730, they were closed. Didnt open until 9 as posted on the door. Star deduction for this, because of the phone call confirming my rental and hours of operation. When I came back at 930 it was a long wait (no problem, everyone was getting out of town and waiting). No star deduction for this but they might have staffed better for such a busy day.When I was finally called, nice new hire told me my premium vehicle is not available, needed an oil change and he tried to give me a small Jeep. He told me it would be cheaper, I told him it was to small, I reserved a premium because comfort and luggage and people space. Star deduction. There were many upgraded comfortable larger vehicles available but he did not offer to upgrade me as a courtesy. He showed me a larger Honda SUV than the Jeep and due to the wait and us needing to depart, I took this vehicle. But this is not an upgrade from a premium. Rental was cheaper but my 3 premium reward days also had to be used on this less than premium vehicle. When I mentioned that I did not like this, his response was that is another department issue, he is saving me money. I wasnt looking to save money, I wanted comfort for this 8 hour drive down and back up plus all the other hours of being in SF and LA traffic and driving we would be doing. The loss of my 3 reward days on this vehicle are the loss of the remaining Stars.Now the issues with the vehicle. The issue was with the keys. 2 keys, give, one did not work at all, not even sure it was to this vehicle, it did not look the same as the other key fob. The semi working key fob had low battery warning on the dash. Sometimes it worked, other times it did not, so when it was raining, we couldnt jump right back into or out of the vehicle because I had to keep pushing the key fob to unlock the doors or confirm they are locked before walking away. (1st world problems I know.) I did not deduct a Star for this but the totality of the experience leads me to the 1 star review.Because I have such brand loyalty, I will continue to rent from Enterprise. Do they know this and accept that the quality of service has gone down or this is just a one off, remains to be seen. My next rental will determine the answer. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice and shame on me.

Comment: September 2023 dropping it another star is i waited nearly an hour to pick up my rental. lines are very long and theres still not enough staff to handle the volume. after labor day weekend or any other high traffic times there should be all hands on deck, but its not just during peak times, this location seems to be trending in longer wait times. have to start looking into the Florin location unfortunately.Update, May 2023, there are no longer Sunday hours and Sat closes at noon, so weekend availability have been reduced. Also, noticing a trend of longer wait times whether to drop off and get checked out or picking up. In and out service seems to be a thing of the past, but the wait is starting to feel like some doctors offices. Ill have to bring the stars down to 4 as timely service is very important for those of us with business or personal travel plans.I remember when this location was on Elk Grove Blvd, there was 2-3 people checking cars out, now theres 1-2, which doesnt make sense since business clearly picked up. I booked a reservation online for 8 am. I arrived a few minutes early. Upon my arrival, there was one employee waiting on a customer at the kiosks upon entry. There was one customer in line in front of me. There were at least three customers sitting in the waiting chairs nearest to the windows to the left of the entrance and at least one customer waiting outside.There were several employees outside and several more in the rear of the office. They were amongst themselves. There was one employee retrieving rentals for the customers waiting.I patiently waited in line for my turn. The same initial employee assisted the person in front of me, then me. Still, several employees wander in and out - no one acknowledging those waiting. It is my turn - the young lady that assisted me was efficient. But told me there were two customers in front of me. I can count, there were now about 4-5 waiting for their rentals and 2-3 people are turning their rentals in. The customers dropping off were prioritized over those who arrived before them.Still, one person is retrieving rentals for all of us waiting. And still, several employees were wandering around - some were cleaning vehicles but at least half appeared to be doing much of nothing. Now a vehicle pulls up in the rear and the employee gets out with his arms full of Starbucks - employees showed excitement for their Starbucks arrival. He walks in and employees gather to get their beverage.I am STILL waiting with several others. I am sure their beverages were quite amazing and I would have stopped for one on my way to work had I not had to wait so long.45 minutes later I am FINALLY leaving in a rental with filthy windows and an oil change light on the dash.In the past, I was greeted upon walking up to the location. When I arrived to pick up my rental car there was a line of approx 10-12 people ahead of me and approximately 10 people waiting for vehicles that had already checked in. One person was assisting with the checkin process which took almost 35 minutes. Once I was checked in I was told it would be a 25 minute wait. 45 minutes later I was still waiting. After waiting 55 minutes I was told they were waiting on a car to finish getting cleaned and I would be on my way. Finally after waiting an hour after getting checked in I was in my rental car. Comment: Its quite a long wait. The first time took 3 hours of waiting, after we dropped off our jeep at the dealership, and the second time was just about an hour. Our jeep was getting work done on it and so it was just $15 because of their partnership with the dealership. In order to use a debit card instead of credit, we had to show two documents in order to use a debit card, the second time we used their service (but not the first time)... which was inconsistently annoying. The first time we used them, the car smelled like puke (which we didnt realize until after signing the agreements and getting in & closing the doors)... so I definitely recommend doing a smell test before agreeing to a vehicle. For $15, I will say 3 stars instead of the 2 that it deserves.

I rent cars very frequently (platinum reward member) and have alway had a good experience with Enterprise until last year. What I though might be isolated incidents has clearly become a trend. The quality of customer service has declined drastically. Most staff are at least friendly, but there is always a ridiculous wait time despite reservation, the phone rings incessantly while staff sit around in the office, and the manager is unfriendly and is a very poor model of professionalism and what it means to provide good customer services. Really unfortunate because I had such high regard for this establishment and the folks working here. This location is the most convenient but I doubt I will continue to rent here. I will take down this post within 2 hours of posting this article with appropriate response and resolution.March 15 rented Camry due to parking lot collision. My wife has a physical disability and condition deteriorating her spinal cord. The Camry running rough so next morning our agent above and beyond at this point customer service. We were put in mazda cx5. Sadly nice upgrade unfortunately same evening my wife’s discomfort from passenger seat cut our date night short. Bashfulness overwhelmed me following morning. A fellow agent answered my call and reluctantly kept asking for reason of call displaying willingness to help. So o explained just needed confirm appointment. This agent rudely abruptly cut me off and an unhuman demeanor personality disorder insulted and degraded my wife and me. Seemed race gender and disregard to medical conditions of a person with a disability. He asked me do you have an appointment or do you need to make an appointment and I said no neither he proceeded to tell me that those were the priorities of the day and not me due to the fact that we were in the vehicle that was functioning and make the qualifications to drive, I reiterated her wife’s conditions how uncomfortable she was and that it was already taken care of. I just hung up collecting my thoughts call back 10 minutes later and I’m pretty sure the phone calls are recorded spoke to the agent who has been taking care of us this whole time, grab the vehicle and disgusted and left, The anxiety and depression this has caused an stress level is apalling my love for my wife is my love and nobody else should make any comments on how I am to love and protect my wife actions needed swiftly today. The car was delivered to me in very good condition. Clean inside and out. A staff member was very kind enough to walk and talk with me while doing exterior inspection. It didnt take long for me to complete the E paperwork and be on my way. This was a great experience and I will definitely continue to use their services. I have one recommendation for staff. Comment: Enterprise has always been the only car rental I use! Nate was GREAT when I came into pick up my reserved vehicle! They were extremally busy that Thursday, and the wait was a little longer than usual. Once my vehicle was ready and brought to me it was on empty, with the light on! Thankfully Costco was just down the street, for enterprise pumps were off because they were closed. This was a first and Nate was very apologetic! I was told to bring car back on empty, which is really hard to do, brought back as close to empty as I could. Jonathan was quite polite when I returned!

Comment: Horrible return customer service hours. They close at noon on Saturday and closed on Sunday. Very disappointing renting Enterprise, 1st reserved a 4 dr truck and the gave me a extended cab 4dr, that no full size adult can fit in back seat. Than the trucks washer fluidline is broken and I couldnt clean the windshield in the mountain snowing roads. I filled it before leaving with O degree washer fluid. But the line was broken and I couldnt see through it . And they didnt tell me that on Saturday they close at noon so I had to pay 2 more days of car rental fees, while the truck sat there until Monday. I had to stop over a dozen times to clean the windshield by hand.

Comment: I have been using Enterprise for all my rentals but just this once at this location at Elk Grove auto mall. I heard 2 people in front of me didnt get their vehicles, they run out of vehicles. So my turn and I provided my 2 utilities bills because I only used debit card. And they wanted a pay stub and other utilities bills I provided my phone bill normally send to my phone, of course. And a fast track bill that was with me.I didnt have no paystub with me because its at home but I went online to my bank account and displayed my salary. They still didnt take it...but I knew for sure the reason was they had no cars. No good, no help and Im certainly passing on to my friends, families and coworkersTo never go there!!

Comment: Horrible customer service . They all have different information . They tell you one thing and then change the price . You can’t make a reservation because you will not know if it’s really reserved because when you get there they change everything . They also say they call you to let you know if they can’t rent you the car you reserved but nobody calls. One of the guys said he called us but never did . When we got there the Tahoe we reserved was not even there . So what happened is they rent it out and when we got there they said they try to call us . Everyone there was just texting, using bad words . Very unprofessional. The workers moving the cars out were driving fast almost ran my daughter over . Unprofessional will never go back ! They have young people working in the back using bad language in front of everyone . Never coming back ! And telling my friends and coworkers not to go there .

Comment: The selection is some what limited and some vehicles are only surface cleaned. Cars need to be throughly detailed and maintenance. The car should not shut off while driving and this has happened. The vehicles should not smell like mildew and must especially when turning of the AC or heater. When renting a vehicle due to an auto insurance claim the company needs to accurately update their profiles so the numerous amount of annoying calls to the renter of the vehicle is not buggered further. Improvements need to be made. Overall the vehicle rental was fine.

Comment: 1 day rental, had me wait over 30 mins for a car supposedly to get cleaned and then walk me to a car thats been sitting on the lot the whole entire time. Walk around door was open. So when I got out of the car noticed a loud squeak when trying to open and when driving could hear little air coming in. Didnt think much of it since 1 day rental and today as I returned they assumed the noise came from me and told me I may have to file a claim thru my insurance, i tried to state this door must have been in accident as you can clearly see it is not align and scratches on the inside panel, she said maybe someone ding it and now making that noise. SMH asked to speak to manager and she came back out saying he knows of the problem. First off you should go check before accusing a customer of possible damage. This was a 1 day rental and clearly this damage would take more then a day to repair. But from the start to the end this was a terrible experience. I have rented cars over 100x and never had a claim filed. Next time my walk around will be more thorough. She didnt inform me about the noise when she opened the door to check the inside and I was far enough not to hear it and when you close it, it doesnt make a noise only when you try to open it.I received a text from the business and asked for manager to call and they said shortly but nobody has yet to call. I sent email to address stated below.

Comment: The app allowed me to book my pick up reservations at 5pm on a Friday. I show up to enterprise at 5:01pm and the doors were locked. I saw a guy outside checking in cars and mentioned to him that I have 5pm reservation. He told me that they were closed and that they take their last reservation at 4:30pm. He had a bad attitude and was Not trying to help at all, he went on to say that I have to wait until the next day(Saturday)at 9am to pick up my rental. I was the speaker at my company seminar that Saturday, that was being held in LA that I had to miss along with my other coworkers that were suppose to ride as well. My complaint is, if they saw my reservation at 5pm(which I am sure they did), why didn’t they try to contact me to tell me to come pick up by 4:30pm since that’s when they take their last reservation? The app still allows reservations to be made at 5pm at this location so beware of that.

They only let me put my name on the vehicle since I’m the one who had to pay for it. I wasn’t even going on the trip. They basically made me go on the trip in order for my family to go. Comment: Scheduled pickup for 9am.When I arrived and checked in, I informed them that I needed to upgrade, they made mention of that in my notes. 10:15am came around and they were able to finally get me a rental car.When I was able to finally choose a car, all I was shown were compact cars. While walking the lot, I repeated to the Enterprise person that I needed to upgrade and it fell on deaf ears, they just kept showing me compact cars.By this point, I was so irritated and late that I just chose whatever car they could give me right then, which of course was a compact car.Because of their car choice, I was not able to bring everything back with me, now I must schedule another trip to retrieve the remaining items I was not able to bring back.Of course, the next rental will not be through Enterprise.

Comment: Okay, if you’re looking for a review to persuade you from NOT buying or renting with Enterprise, this is not it. My renting experience was insanely smooth and easy – almost suspiciously…but ultimately, I was very well taken care of from start to finish. I made a reservation online and got a call minutes later from an agent to help me sort out the details of what I needed for my upcoming trip. When I got to the dealership, I was greeted with a warm welcome, and the process of renting was explained to me – this was my first time renting a vehicle. I have to say, Bryce was incredible. Unfortunately, the vehicle I was looking for was unavailable, but Bryce stepped in to find the next best thing. He went the extra mile and found me a bomb vehicle that I ended up loving so much, I went back to Enterprise and bought a car from the same maker, days later. Du Pri has an exceptional talent in balancing the dichotomy of professionalism and personal warmth. He made me feel like a friend, even like I was part of the team and we were all making this decision together. In the end, Bryce and Du Pri freakin hooked it up! When I went to return the vehicle, Gabby was super friendly and actually cared about how my trip was, not just the condition of the vehicle post-trip. I don’t think there are many other ways that the process could have improved on. Thank you so much, Enterprise!

Comment: When I walked into Enterprise I was greeted by a young man, before I could say anything another man yelled out I can help her right here. I thought that was a little rude. I walked over to him and he never once greeted me or gave me his name. The only thing he was interested in was the information on the reservation. I explained my husband made the reservation. However, he is a truck driver and still on the road and wouldn’t get back until later in the day. The only thing he did was ask for my license and credit card. Once done he then stated someone will meet you outside for the car. I was surprised because he didn’t seem very professional. I went outside and my thought was how unprofessional, however, the person who came out was actually the young man who originally greeted me and his name was Bryce, he stated that as he walked up to me. Bryce explained that he would be helping me and, I had a choice of cars that was parked to the right of where we were standing. Bryce asked if there was anything special we were doing over the weekend, keeping conversation going the whole time. I called my husband to ask what type of car, because of his size and stature, and I explained that to Bryce. Bryce showed me a RAV4, but next to it was a Chevy SUV and my husband knew exactly what it was and started that would be okay. Bryce had me walk around the car while he went to get the keys. Then we both checked it out, and I told him it would be fine. I was impressed with Bryce because of how professional he was and, his great customer service skills. This young man is a great asset to Enterprise, and I appreciate the care and extra kindness that he showed during these times. I also want to acknowledge the driver who drove me home once I returned the car back to Enterprise. Clay was very courteous, polite and professional!

However, during my last rental, I arrived approximately 30 minutes prior to my scheduled pick-up time. I had scheduled to pick up an intermediate car, but when I arrived, they did not have any available and offered me a van instead. I declined as I was driving solo to San Diego and a van would be too big plus paying an arm and leg for gas. They ended up having one last full size car that was in the cleaning process. I had no choice but to accept it as they were closing within 30-40 minutes and I needed to get on the road. As I went to pay, I noticed my total was more than what I was quoted. I was told that because I was being given a full size instead of an intermediate, it would cost more. It was not a substantial amount, but I felt that since it was not my fault that they did not have my car of choice, I should not have to pay the extra fee. That is the reason I gave 3 stars.

They escalated him to the point where he no longer wanted to rent from them. 1st they said they would pick him up then the next day they said it was too far! 2nd they said he needed one ID then they said he needed 2! Then they said they would accept his pay stub, then they said The pay stub that matched his drivers license address was too old! His current new pay stub does not have the address. The Ford dealership recommended this place for some reason. They do not know how to treat a under 30 year old customer.

It had an awful odor in it and I knew I wasnt going to have the car very long otherwise I would have returned it. I would like it if they would give a break for those of us who end up only needing a vehicle for a few hours. Comment: This is the worst Enterprise location I have used. I picked up a car that smelled fresh and clean because it just came out of detailing, however as the day went on this fresh scent faded and all that was left was the strong smell of marijuana. I called them the next morning and spoke with Nate who offered no apology and his only solution was to return the car while explaining I might have to wait 90-120 minutes to get a new rental. Since I am not a smoker, and the worry of being pulled over by police with a car that smelled I decided to return it. I arrived at the location and was told there is not a person by the name of Nate who works there but they would try to find a replacement for me ASAP. There was also another customer there returning his SUV as it also smelled strongly of marijuana. Daisha was able to get me a replacement car in less than 15 minutes which I really appreciated. When I returned this second rental there was only 1 other customer there and 6-8 employees inside standing around with only 1 poor employee outside processing returns. The single other customer ahead of me was returning his rental because the brakes were metal on metal and the vehicle was not safe to drive. It took me about 45 minutes to get my rental returned while all the other employees were inside doing nothing. Daisha was the sole bright spot in this experience. I asked why they rented out a vehicle that smelled so bad and did not receive a solid answer other than they would need to detail it more. I use Enterprise for all my rental vehicles and this location is a terrible reflection on the company as a whole. Not sure why you are issuing rentals that are unfit to be driven (worn brakes) or could place your customers in a precarious legal situation (marijuana smell).

After telling me two cars needed an oil change, I was given a car with tags that expired 2 months ago. I did not realize this until the next day but did not have time to return the car and risk waiting 45 minutes for a replacement. I was worried that being a veteran and a person of color what would happen to me if I was pulled over with out of state expired license plates. Thankfully nothing happened and I notified them upon return about putting my life at risk......no one cared. Of course they did not understand my position. Comment: Very unprofessional!! First I go to turn it in and the lady was like it doesn’t look like the car lot is gone pay for the rental. Then she went inside and came back out and the lady got in took the mileage and did the walk around said everything was fine and told me I would be getting a credit of $50. Then I get across the street at the dealership and they car the enterprise and the lady said that there was ashes and smoke in the car. However I don’t smoke I’m highly Allergic to smoke and I had my 8yr in the car. And to top it off I sprayed the car with a sanitizer spray (Clorox) when we all got out of the car and the rep complemented the smell. I will not use this company again and I will tell all of my friends and family not to use. They gave me the car with less then a half of tank then told me to bring it back on full.

Comment: My experience this time was not the best. I booked a reservation for 5:30p at a branch and was running a little late. I contacted the branch letting them know i would be there around 5:45p. The representative, Shane, that I spoke with told me they close at 5:30p and that I would have to come back in the morning. I didn’t understand because I made a reservation to pick up at 5:30p on the website.After calling and pleading and going up to the branch, I was still told they could not help me until the next day and I arrived there at 5:45p. I needed the car that night, so I made Another reservation at the sac airport, And once I was there I was told I couldn’t reserve because of the type of card I was using or because I didn’t have an itinerary flying out or in Sacramento. After being told over the phone that I can reserve with a debit card there being a $200 deposit and the representative did not say we could not book through the airport if we weren’t flying in or out. Overall it was a horrible experience.

Comment: Service has not been bad. I was concerned a little with tire wear on one vehicle. My biggest issue with this location is the unavailability of after hours drop off. I have gone to the Sacramento Downtown location on my last few rentals due to Elk Grove Enterprise not having after hours drop off. Most of my travel requiring rentals has me returning on Sundays, hence the importance of after hours returns. It is beyond me as to why Elk Grove cannot offer this service. Even if I return on a Saturday, it would require me to drop off by 12 noon. If not, it would require me to rent for a extra day or two (Unacceptable!). Who returns that early on a weekend from a trip?! Unfortunately for you, I have decided to utilize the Downtown location for all of my business, despite the inconvenience.

Comment: I rented a large SUV (Franklin Blvd location in Sacramento) and last minute -as I was on my way to pick it up- was called to be told, very nonchalantly I might add, that it was no longer available, no apologizes and no explanations. I quickly hopped online and reserved one for the Elk Grove location for $75 more a day! So due to their inside error I went from a $200 for 2 day rental to $350 for no fault of my own. I was desperate for a vehicle and had no choice so I booked it. Upon checking out I asked the representative to ask a manager to match the price of the other location since it was an Enterprise location, and they due to THEM canceling it made my pre-trip super inconvenient. I was shocked when they said no. Still am actually. Was asking for a discount simply to be matched for having my reservation canceled. I’m sure anyone would agree that would have been more than fair. I’m a member with Enterprise and that was disappointing. If Enterprise is reading this never too late to make things right.

Comment: 6/18/20--- Was the date of my HERTZ rental pick up, had a TERRIBLE experience with them, & my Dad suggested to come here & we did just that. Left the HERTZ (right next to the chevron on E.G blvd) & came straight to this location. For starters, this is a very big, very nice location! It was pretty busy upon our arrival, a few customers ahead of us, but that only told me one thing... this is the place to come! Let me just say, although there were about 3-4 people ahead of us, before I knew it, we were the next to be helped. The Gentleman that helped us (I cant recall his name, BUT I remember I was admiring his colorful band on his apple watch) He was very welcoming, very fast, extremely professional & we had NO reservation & we needed an SUV. Comment: My car needed repairs so the body shop set up my rental car. I had a midsize so I was surprise when they gave me a Mitsubishi Mirage. The car was not washed and the steering wheel was sticky. I had to disinfect it. Two days later, they finally had a Toyota Camry available. As soon as I got it inside...it was like inhaling second hand smoke. It was so bad that I had to use another car when driving with my family. The other choice they offered was a green charger and they were going to charge me more.On another occasion, I rented a minivan which I reserved online. The one they were giving me was dirty and had dog hairs all over. The captain chairs in the middle section had something slimy on the side that was not cleaned up. They had to give me another minivan that was cleaner inside but needed car wash. I waited for the wash and finally got out around 5:30pm. I had the car for a week and returned it at 4:35pm. When they billed me, they entered 4:40pm pick up and 5:14pm drop off and charged me an hour for late fee. I called them to ask them to check their CCTV and see what times I really picked up and dropped off. They said they will reimburse the charges, but Im still waiting. I hope they will give me back the $23.05.

Comment: Representatives were great and even opened the doors early when they saw I was waiting outside. However, I reserved a Chevy Tahoe and they said it wasnt there on time and got me into a GMC Acadia which they said was they same size and was a premium upgrade at no charge. Vehicle was nice but its not the same. It was smaller and had almost no storage space. When someone reserves a vehicle like a Tahoe, its because they need space. I had to put items in the back seat where people were sitting. They should not accept reservations for a vehicle that is supposed to be brought back on the same day. The reservation should be based off the vehicle being there the day before so its ready at the open of business like I reserved or get more of the same vehicle. Now a person like me is inconvenienced and would have to wait for the correct vehicle or get something else. The rep was great not her fault, just a bad business practice. The only other thing that can be improved upon is the pickup process. It takes to long. Thats the websites issue not the location. When I reserve a vehicle online every option that is asked at the location should be asked online so I can leave faster. Give me the options to choose or decline insurance, prepaid fuel, enter my credit card and submit the deposit, etc. This way the only thing done at the location is a verification with the drivers license to make sure the person picking up is the right person and the vehicle walk around. The process would be so much faster that way. Overpriced compared to other local rental companies. Yes the office is better equipped than Avis, but Im not renting the office. Im renting a car... And when Avis offers the same class car for $15 less per day, then the choice is simple. Seems like Enterprise is trying to get us to pay for their new facility by having higher cost, and the allure of having them pick you up and drop you off is not what it was worth before when they charge so much.

Comment: Rented a vehicle for four days to take my two-year-old to Disneyland. If it wasnt for the condition of the vehicle, I would give the customer service four stars. The issue I had with the vehicle is that immediately upon turning on the AC, a gust of ash hit my face. The car didnt stop smelling like straight up ash tray after that. I couldnt do anything about it because I was far from the rental site by the time I realized how intolerable the smell was. As an asthmatic Im having issues breathing even two days after returning the vehicle. The migraine I got after breathing in the air is unimaginable. Im about one more day from feeling like this from going to the doctors office. I cant even imagine what my son must be feeling but isnt able to verbalize. Other than the horrible experience with the car I got, the customer service was polite. I would have given five stars for costumer service if they gave me a discount for the current rental or perk for a future rental due to the car literally making me and my son sick. Definitely unpleased with how my money was spent on that experience. I work for the state and rent Enterprise frequently, however, after this experience I am now weary to use it for business.

Comment: I am a frequent customer and Enterprise Plus member. I arranged for a 3:00 PM pick-up last Tuesday, called at 3:10 and was told shuttle would be late, 3:45-3:50. It arrived at 4:30. Once I arrived at the Elk Grove Auto Mall location I was told it would be just a few minutes, they were still cleaning the car. 3 other customers came and went while I sat. Finally got a car at around 5:30. Next day I called to check closing time, 6:00 PM but I would need to get a ride as all of the drivers had already left, it was 5:50 PM so I had to return the car the following morning...and, of course I was charged for another day. Comment: Secured a rental while my regular vehicle was in for a major repair at the dealership. Staff was friendly, and service was prompt. It was early in the morning and rentals had been sitting overnight. The car I received was fine on the outside. The air was cool/crisp, there was dew on the windows, etc. After driving away, it became clear (while driving into the sun) that the film on the inside of the windows had not been cleaned in ages. Got the car home, and spent no less than a half hour cleaning the windows. Something still wasn’t right. The day warmed up and when I got in the car later, I was hit with a strong smoke stench. Tried to air out the car. Went to Costco (with the windows down), and when I opened the trunk after shopping got another bold hit of smoke smell. Back to the rental site. Car #2was clean on the outside but, again, the film on the inside of the windows was so thick you could barely see out of the windows. I pointed this out to the staff and got a response that it was because of cleaning solvents; there was no effort to have the cleaning crew clean the windows. Vehicle choices were limited by then, so I kept that vehicle but had to spend another half hour at home cleaning the inside of the windows. Thankfully, there was no smoke smell. Staff were apologetic and they did give me a small discount for having to return the first car, which I appreciated. If I were rating the staff only, I would give 5 stars. Unfortunately the inside cleanliness of both vehicles brought the review down significantly.

Comment: When I called to reserve a car, it was because my car was at the dealer. I would not have chosen this rental company but for the fact that it was quite close to the dealer. The women with whom I spoke to reserve my car was very pleasant and polite. I did not get her name. My rental pick up was harried and disorganized, but I got the car and got on my way. The return experience was a nightmare. Everyone was returning cars, and there was a line out the door. I actually parked my car and dragged all my stuff to the dealer so I could come back later when it might have calmed down a bit. I drove my car back over and just wanted to return my rental. I was first in line, but no one acknowledged my presence. There were some people in line to pick up their cars, so I figured the employees helping them were not able to check cars back in. There were 2 African American males behind me in line. At least 20 minutes passed. One employee said, We will be right with you, but did not make any eye contact. Jill-who I am taking to be the manager---was walking around the lobby. She never acknowledged me. When a middle-aged white man came in to pick up a car, she smiled and went over to him to help him out. Only after she had got him into a car did she return to me. Then, she said, Are you returning? I was very upset by this time and felt pretty low. I told Jill that I just wanted to leave the car since I had to get back to work. Oh! Are you just running behind? That was infuriating. I was not running behind. Your organization was. I will never rent from Enterprise again. There is an AVIS just across the 99. The owner is very kind and respectful of all genders and ethnic groups from what I have witnessed. I will take my business there since you seem to cater to middle-aged white men above others.

Comment: Reserved a car for pick up at 8 a.m. No car available until 10 a.m. 2 hours waited in Enterprise to pick up rental. I understand sometimes facility would run into shortage, so no complaints.However, when I returned car at 6:05 p.m. May 12, from my trip. Anna told me all drivers left Enterprise at 5:30 pm and told me to call a taxi home. I told her I never had a problem with Enterprise in the past 7 years. Enterprise always gave me a ride home even after 6 pm.That afternoon, there were 7 or 8 employees at the site. One employee even offered to give me a ride. Anna asked him if he would like to leave early, instead staying in the site to clean cars. Then, the employee changed his mind to stay. Anna told me I needed to stay until 6:45 p.m. when the facility closed. she would then give me a ride home which is only 3 miles from Enterprise.I dont like the fact that I accommodated Enterprise to wait for 2 hours to pick up my rental. When I returned the car, only 5 minutes after 6 p.m. I had to wait for 40 minutes to have a ride which is 3 miles away from Enterprise. There were 7 or 8 people in Enterprise, Anna would not make accommodation to assign one of them to give me ride home.This is a one way street of doing business.

Two memorable experiences that stand out is Blaine found out that I am a ham so now he has me get the new people sing with me, different songs and the smiles that it puts on their faces and the customers. It has me feeling good all day. But one day I just did not feel like doing what I had to do for the weekend but I reluctantly went in cause I had to fulfill my commitment. Louie told me what a valued customer I was and that coming in doing what I do makes their day, with customers that disagree or are trying to say that they did not know what they signed on the contract, will leave them frustrated. Comment: I have done business with this Enterprise office over a period of years, with mixed experiences. However this rental was one of the best experiences, despite my having issues with the vehicle itself and the check out process. When I reported the problems to the manager at check in, he was receptive to hearing my story, understood the inconveniences involved, and went out of his way to make sure that I left as a satisfied customer. The staff is always very nice even when they are slammed, and they do their best to get you in and out quickly. The shuttle drivers are also always very friendly and safe drivers. Also it is very easy to drive to, in and out of this office, especially when compared to the downtown Enterprise office. Highly recommend, will definitely rent again!

This time I reserved a full size sedan for a weekend trip to LA. I arrived at the Automall location and found out all their full size sedans were rented out or needed maintenance. Since i did reserve ahead of time i was given a reasonable upgrade. The upgraded vehicle actually worked out better than the sedan would have because it was roomier and fun to drive. They always have all the newest vehicles and its always well maintained. The service reps were very courteous and professional. They were respectful and I was very impressed. My rental pickup and drop off went great and I was in and out of there in no time! I plan to rent from this location again in the months to come and im looking forward to dealing with them again.Keep in mind if you are picking up a vehicle in the afternoon this location gets extremely busy! its not Enterprises fault, every one gets off work and comes here to pick up their rental so the office gets packed with customers. Every time they get busy the service reps handle every customer with a smile on their face and keep things moving along. They also service the dealers down the street so a lot of people who get their cars worked on at their dealers also come in to get rentals. So YES this branch does get busy because of the types of customers they get
