Comment: I made a mistake and thought I made a reservation when I didn’t. I was told they had no more reservations for the weekend and were sold out for the day. I go online to make a reservation at the same location and it lets me. I assumed that since it let me make a reservation that a car had opened up. I had a good reason to assume this because I tried at another place earlier in the week and that location would not let me make a reservation so I assumed the Lancaster enterprise would do the same. It did not. I had two friends drive me 40min to Lancaster for this. The lady I spoke to was nice but did not make it clear that the online system would still make a reservation. What a waste of time and gas. I had to get an Uber which cost me $55 just to get back home.

Comment: Updating my review from 1 star to 3 years based on my recent interactions at this Enterprise.1. The reason for the low rating is primarily due to my frustration with their inability to pick up their phone calls. I will attach a photo of all my unanswered calls. Its quite ridiculous when you just want to call and ask a quick question. The first time, I called at 8:03am and someone picked up immediately just to put me on hold so they can get to a computer but then never came back. The call dropped and it was nearly impossible to get anyone else back on the phone. There should always be someone to focus on the calls and at least ANSWER and explain the hold up! I placed a rental through Statefarm but they never called me to confirm. I had to reach someone to get anything done.2. My overall 3 rating is thankfully due to my experience with Ana Sotelo. After the frustrations with the phone calls, I did not have high hopes for this location. However, when I did arrive Ana was professional, friendly, quick to help, and also closed me out. She made everything effortless and is the reason I would come back here.Just go in person if you want to get anything done!3. i am overall satisfied because some of the reviews worried me because of extra charges. However, when I was at the location, I did observe that the staff was kind and a handful of people were checked out without any charges.

Comment: Prior to get the car rental, I clearly verified if I can return or leave the car rental to Caliber collisions and they said YES it was okey because they have contract to them. Came back to Caliber Collisions last Thursday 4/25 and left the rental car and Enterprises will pick it up.I called Enterprises today 4/30 to follow up my security deposit. I Told them it was returned last Thursday and they said they will go there to pick it up and will give me a call after. I asked why it will pick up today just now? I asked the guy name but he hang up the phone. I Called Caliber Collisions and they said it was pick up last Thursday and don’t have the car with them. This Car enterprises has a very poor customer service. Someone made a mistake and they don’t apologize. I tried to call them many times but they just hang up.

Comment: Very pleasant experience. The SUV requested online was not available when I arrived however the gentleman who checked me in offered an alternate upgrade at the same price. We were pleased with the service and the newness of the mini van. Very smooth drive and extremely spacious. Fit all of our luggage and even a knee scooter.The only request would have been a more thorough cleaning of the seats and better airing of the vehicle due to some smell of previous renters smoking in the vehicle.

Comment: UPDATE TO THIS REVIEW: 1/1/2024: Vehicle was dirty, not working properly. Selection was poor. I was told that I needed to get an FCA product due to the warranty work being done to my vehicle. I show up to enterprise, and I am told only select FCA products were available. I needed a three row vehicle. (the vehicle being repaired was a dodge durango...3 rows). I show up to Enterprise and I am told that the 3 rows are for select reservations. I was given a jeep compass. UNACCEPTABLE. What is the point? I mentioned that the vehicle I dropped off was a three row...didnt seem to matter.Staff was very friendly. The cars are very clean and selection was good (during this chip shortage. I prefer coming here than Hertz. ⚠️ WARNING. DOCUMENT EVERY SCRATCH AND DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE PRIOR TO LEAVING LOT. One associate will tell you the damage is minor while the other will tell you that you will be charged! Also, be very aware of the vehicle that you are given. The last few vehicles I have driven were in blatant auto accidents. didnt drive well, doors that opened funny. just be aware.

Comment: Customer service was great, but when it came to rent a car, it was very poor. The majority of the car is in stock with high mileage ( some are over 60k+ ), condition mixed and mach situations, neatness and clearness has lot of room to improve. Inventory of selection very limited. My recommendation will be to improve the overall situation, especially low mileage in stck( car,van and suv), make a feel of a new car instead of renting used a car from a used car lot.

Comment: I had rented a SUV through my insurance company I had nothing but problems since I stepped into the vehicle. First, it was the only SUV big enough to hold a wheelchair so I kind of had no choice. The car smell like cat piss and weed. It was completely filthy and inside and I was told it’s that or I would have to wait another week for a bigger vehicle so I felt like I had no choice. Then I had. electrical problems with the Infiniti I rented. I recorded how I was going down a dark road in Sedona, Arizona, and all of a sudden all the inside lights went out including the headlights I did show it to the guy that worked there, so I’m glad I recorded everything that was happening inside the vehicle.I believe you should check your cars before you re-run them out because it’s dangerous, thank God I had time to pull over because I could’ve hit some thing or went off the side of the mountain. And when you tell the workers they say oh I’m sorry about your experience, but they really don’t care. I have rented from Enterprise for years, and I feel like the bigger the company gets the more they don’t care about who’s renting them, or giving out another vehicle as soon as it comes in.

After waiting 15 minutes, I was shown a car, waited for it to be washed, and waited another 15 minutes for the car. I drove 5 miles to my hotel for the night. The next morning I needed to be at my destination early and when I started the car the tire warning was on. I then had to navigate several gas stations to find one with a working air hose to fill up the tires. All this to say to Enterprise, “Please check the air pressure of tires before renting out the cars to provide a much more stress free rental experience.”

Comment: Worst rental experience ever. A rental was reserved to put my vehicle in the shop. I was to get a full size car. When I arrived, they said they only had a mini van. There were plenty of full size cars on the lot, including the Chevy Malibu I was parked right next to. To add insult to injury, there was a group of white men there trying to rent several cars, and they were getting catered to. I felt overlooked and as if my business wasn’t appreciated. I only came here because this is where my insurance advised me to go. I hope they get caring customer service reps that actually treat people like actual human being. No one deserves to be treated less than. My advice to anyone reading this, go to Avis/ Budget in Palmdale. Their customer service is amazing, and they treat EVERYONE with respect.

Comment: Not terribly impressed. My friend needed to suddenly rent a car as his car broke down. He called to make a reservation and was told he could rent with a debit card. Upon arriving, he also needed a utility bill, he was not told this on the phone. I wonder, how many people carry a bill with them? I rented it for him (using Costcos reservation service) and added him as a driver. We wanted the least expensive car for 2 days. After submitting our pertinent information, we were told to go out to the lot to SELECT a car and that my credit card would be taken by the next representative. We mentioned we just wanted the least expensive car per the reservation. When were passed on to (what I call) the bait n switch/upsell pro, she started guiding us toward the next level up car, so I repeated what we reserved, then she quoted a price for 3 days. Again, I corrected her and showed her our reservation was for 2 days and the price. Then she proceeds to offer us upgrades. Dear Lord, by now, Im beginning to lose patience, especially since time was of the essence, so I asked her for 4 wheels and an engine, per the reservation.Dont get me wrong, everyone was very polite and friendly, but I did NOT appreciate the waste of time and the many upsell attempts.On a side note, last month, I rented a car from Budget also using Costco and had none of this upsell business. The rental process was much quicker and a far better experience.

Comment: The employees at the front desk are nice and did their best. However, the service itself is terrible. The day I picked up the vehicle, it took them more than two hours to get the vehicle ready for me. I was told the car was being washed and sanitized, but when they finally handed the car over to me, it was all dirty. And there was a big crack on the windshield- on driver side. It is so dangerous to drive with a cracked windshield, but unfortunately I was no willing to wait another two hours for them to provide me with another vehicle, if they even had one - plus in the meantime you are forced to listen to the disgusting blasting so called music that their carwash people listen to. And finally, the day I returned the van, when I asked them if someone could take me home, I was told that service was not available on Saturdays. I wish they had at the least the courtesy of letting me know that in advance.This place is not what it used to be. They have thrown the towel. I am not doing business with them ever again.

The funny thing is one of the employees was the branch Manager.The staff in the lot however, were above and beyond. I didnt catch his name but the gentlemen situating my vehicle was very helpful and accommodating.My reservation had been mis dated by my insurance company, hence the trouble in the 9ffice. But once again, the gentlemen in the lot, dispute my reservation being forward dated got me in a car above my daily allowance. Which I didnt request.Lastly, if you need to call the office. Dont bother 22 minute wait time. Several pick ups and then placed back on hold. For 22 minutes. Lol....None the less, if you dont have an option in where to rent a car and have to go to this office just be prepared / patient.

Comment: I frequently rent vehicles from this Enterprise location and have experienced both great and very often ineffective service. In terms of customer service, the staff are always friendly and courteous. However, when it comes to their management process for reservations and pickup, it can be absolutely inefficient and frustrating. Honestly, what’s the point of a reservation for a specific pickup time when you’re left waiting for over an hour past your original reservation timeframe? It is very upsetting when people in front of you have already picked up their rentals and have left over 20 minutes ago. It is even more insulting when several people who checked in after you are getting their rentals and leaving the premises while you are still waiting for staff to assist you. As noted, the management are failing to properly track customer schedules, line orders, and honoring reservation times, resulting in exceptionally long wait times. Their management needs to reassess their current business process for this location and should consider more staffing during peak hours and other ways to maintain customer schedules more effectively based on their metrics.

Comment: The rudest people work here. I got hung up on by someone. I have a rental that needs to swap out and this location could not help. I was on the phone with roadside 3 times. The first girl said it was alright to be hung up on, the second sounded like she was in a bull pen and the cell center was crazy loud, the third person barely helped. Dont rent here if you can help it. The rental i had has bad brakes, only one window rolls down, and the engine sputtered and lost power while driving.

She stated that they opened at 9:00 AM on Sunday. This was much later than we expected. We were hoping to drop off early so that we could catch an early flight out of the local airport. Sheila went out of her way to accommodate us. She arranged for us to drop the car off at the airport. We were able to catch the flight at 6:00 AM as planned. Right when they opened their gates at 9 am, literally a parade of cars came in the parking lot @ 12 to return their vehicles and there was about 6 of us to pick up vehicles that morning. Comment: I tried to rent a car Sunday but not knowing in the antelope valley on Sundays enterprise and other rent agencys are closed so I drove all the way to Burbank to rent a SUV at the Burbank airport and was turned away because they needed a major credit card to accept the payment . The card that was required I had but for some reason since it was a rental car agency on the airport I was told that I would have to be a local in town residence and live approximately 50 miles in distance or have a return flight ticket in order to rent a SUV on my daughters birthday I made the reservation to multiple agencys for the same SUV but for some reason they all said the same thing so Ii was very upset because I couldnt get the car for my daughters party on Monday morning Will called me the Lancaster enterprise and said hello the car you reserved is coming at 11 am so if you still want the rental it will be ready at 12 am I woke up late that morning and see the message and went straight to the enterprise when I got there Will explained everything verbal and professionally after dealing withphone calls and having a busy day with so much patience I showed him my card and he said that same card I tried at the airport was okay to use and I was able to rent the car for the trip the process was smooth and easy Thank you will because you made my trip the kids loved the trip the gas was cheap and the car was clean and very nice BEST rental car in the AV when I return the SUV I talk to another associate Anthony about the passenger seat belt wouldnt click but he ask me multiple times is there anything he can do and also giving me a ride back home which I denied because I already had my arrangements they really take care of you

Had enterprise come pick me up to get there and be told there’s no vehicles in my budget I have rented from enterprise for years never had a problem. They’ve always found me a car within my budget so the manager comes and I speak to him. I explain what’s going on so another manager walked up as I’m speaking with him and he explain to him what’s going on he goes there’s nothing in her budget in anywhere she goes. She’s going to get the same results so I ask. Can they just take me back to my car so they say yes waited there for 30 minutes no one took me to my car is just like as if I was not being acknowledge. so I have to drive her to take me home and I transferred my reservation. Comment: I had a mixed experience at the Lancaster location, a day after picking up a car at LAX airport. The comfort of the Nissan Altima was very poor and my hips and back were in pain after the 2 hour drive from center city to the desert. I almost crashed the car, my fault, due to the limited visibility of the mirrors and side/rear windows. The brakes were also grinding a bit, despite the car only having a bit less than 5,000 miles. I had enough of the car after a day and went to the location to get a replacement car for the rest of my 1 week reservation.Unfortunately, the staff were quite dismissive of my complaints about poor match I had with the car, stating they didnt have anything to offer (which I believe is correct). They asked us to take the car to the mechanic to have the brakes fixed, despite that only being a fraction of the problems. When I disagreed with spending my time getting the car fixed, they recommended going to the Palmdale branch down the road a few miles. We went there, but that location only had 1/2 of the fleet and therefore had nothing to offer.We waiting until the close of the business day (on this Saturday) and then went back to Lancaster. They had a couple cars that had been turned in and offered us those. We accepted a Kia and it resolved the comfort and safety issues that we had with the original Nissan. Their customer service on this return trip was much more accommodating.Also unfortunately, the Nissan had some disrepair issues, such as a bolt in the rear drivers side tire that we had to fix with fix-a-flat and air. (They recommended we take it to a mechanic to get this fixed, we tried, but Firestone was understaffed and it was going to take all day.) It also had a problem with the windshield wipers and left turn signal.

Comment: I was disappointed in my rental car this time. The interior was filthy. I didnt notice how filthy the windshield was until I left and drove into the sun. I could barely see through it! I soaked rags in windshield cleaner to get the grime off of it. It was a Toyota corolla that looked like it hadnt been used for a while. It smelled bad too. They didnt have any economy cars left, which is what I reserved, so I had to take what they had. So I just put up with it. I know I could probably have exchanged it the next day but I was too busy so I never had the opportunity to get back there. Next time Ill check the car out better before I leave the lot.

The body shop and insurance recommends Enterprise as their go to for a good experience so far I have been on hold for over 30 minutes today and yesterday after a 30 minute hold with no employee picing up the phone, just a constant beeping and a recording saying they will be with me shortly that they are helping other customers. This is COMPLETELY unprofessional and unacceptable. If I cant get through to them via the phone, them how will I be treated in person? I guess I will have to go to Hurtz pay out of pocket then get reimbursed from the insurance. At least I know Hurtz in Lancaster California knows how to treat a paying customer. Comment: Highly unsatisfied, i spoke with three different people none of which informed me of a $300 deposit. I was $50 short of what they quoted me that put a 2hour delay on the rental. I understood the fact its required but what i dont understand is that after i sorted out the finances Steven (i know for a fact was his name) informed me that after the car was returned they would adjust the total carged so instead of $675 it would be $375. After i completed paperwork there was a $635 amount pending in my account. THIS WAS $50 LESS THAN THE FIRST QUOTE SO I HAD THE MONEY, THEY WASTED TWO HOURS OF MY TIME!!!! The first car they tried giving me had bald tires that a penny wouldnt even fit into the crevices of the tire. When i called for clarification i got Steven on the phone and explained how he informed me otherwise and the amount would be adjusted before it was charged. He said that no matter what i have to just wait in which i asked to speak with his boss or get the corporate number, he said they would tell me the same thing so i asked to speak with them anyway. THEN HE HUNG UP ON ME!!! Comment: I have never had any problems renting from enterprise in LA. But this one in Lancaster I had a bad experience and had to cancel my meeting. I had the reservation at 9:30am for an SUV car when I got there they only had two small cars available. I was told that they were waiting on customers to return their rental cars. I went home and requested to be called when an SUV arrived. They called me at 11:30am two hours later to tell me that they had one car available but not what I had requested it and I ended up canceling the rental with them and my meeting. Horrible experience!!

Comment: Even if you make a reservation your not guaranteed anything and on top of that they change there method of billing if you use a credit card you do not need anything else but if your going to use your debit card and you have to use your pin they want everything from utility bills to housing agreement. You have to prove your identity which is crazy and they take either 300 or 500 dollar deposit at same time. Basically if you dont have current info and want to use a debit card good luck. I was told that when i turned the car back in that my deposit will be refunded. Whats weird is why did i get charged right then for the amount and deposit when they state that you wont be charged tell the end. Either way the car has been returned but my deposit has not been. The engine light turned on the night before I wax to leave do I went to enterprise first thinks in the morning and go another car. This time, I got a Nissan rouge suv. I lost two hours of my time and if I didn’t say z anything, the guy Eric was charging me for that time, I told him I was late for my appointment so I should be compensated. When I returned and got the bill after a week, I was being charged 2 regular days and 5 regular days instead of the discounted weekly rate. I emailed and called but up to now, I have not heard anything. As far as I can tell, the cars have been clean, and for the most part, there have been no problems. And the people have always been pleasant and helpful.But...it hasnt been perfect. One time, I got a car on which the steering wheel adjuster would not tighten. This caused the steering wheel to move, which was as bit disconcerting.Several times, even though I have always had a reservation, I have had to wait, sometimes over an hour, for a car. The last time I attempted to rent a car, I had to leave because the appointment time for which i needed the car came and went while i was waiting.And then there is the cost. I am a travel nurse so I have a DL from another state I also have a California DL as well but recently lost it. Now I have rented a car at this location before with the out of state DL no problem. They only thing they required was proof of residency. I had a phone bill (which was accepted last time) Mail from the IRS, the DMV, my medical insurance and even a bank statement to show proof of residency. The associate that was helping me was Jessica, she said she would need to get approval from her manger which was fine. 10 minutes later the Branch manager walks over and I explain the situation to him I provide all the documents even a photo of my California ID he looks me up and down a says that he’s not going to accept the documents provided and said that I cannot rent with them. I expressed to him that I previously rented a car with the same exact documents and out of State DL they looked it up to see that I was correct, other people waiting chimed in stating that the had done the same with no problem. I explained to him that it was my birthday and that I simply just wanted to get a car to go to Las Vegas for the weekend. By this point I asked to speak to his Areal manager to try to reach a resolution. He rudely said “ it doesn’t matter what you say she’s going to side with me any way!” I remained calm and said that’s fine let’s just see if she can some up with a resolution to this matter. After hearing the way he spoke to me several other customers chimed in saying that he wasn’t being professional and demanding to know why he was refusing to let me rent a car. The issue of race came up and he began to become extremely uncomfortable. I am a young African American female, and The Branch manger is a white male. When people asked if it was because I was black or a woman he immediately said he was calling to police. I said that’s fine I have done nothing wrong, at this point I just wanted my previous rental agreement printed out so that I could go to another location. He dialed 911 and put it on speaker telling them to send the police for refusing to leave the office and being disorderly. He told them what I was wearing and said that “she is a black female so you guys should hurry and probably bring back up” I was outraged!!! He even went as far as saying that “I should be worried when the police arrive” hinting at what has happened in the news with the multiple killings of unarmed black People by police that have recently happened. At that point in fear of my safety I left the office. I have rented multiple cars and have never had this problem let alone received this type of horrible customer service from someone who is supposed to be in charge. I waited an hour and a half just to be disrespected and to leave with no car. What a way to celebrate my 30th birthday.

Comment: To Whom it may concern,As usual, my experience with Enterprise was the best. I usually pick Enterprise but on this last occasion I tried using a rental car company from my Costco membership selection and it was terrible. My flight arrived late into LAX and the rental car company I was using was closed. I went to the other rental car companies only to find out they were charging twice as much as what my agreement was with the original rental car company. I was lucky that a relative drove an hour and 15 minutes to pick me up. The next day I went to the local Lancaster Enterprise and was able to rent a car for the week at a price better than my original rental agreement was with the other rental car company. I asked if it would be possible to drop the car off at LAX Enterprise instead of returning the car to the Lancaster location and the gentleman replied yes. He went on to tell me he would wave the charge that usually comes with such a request. This situation was a perfect example of why I prefer Enterprise. Comment: I’m a frequent customer at enterprise in Lancaster, Ca and let me say this those guys are really awesome over there. They make your whole renting a car experience worth it. I rent cars because my business requires me to drive a lot and putting a lot of miles on my personal vehicle didn’t sit well with me. Nick always makes sure I have the vehicle I need in a timely manner and goes above and beyond to ensure I am happy as a customer. The staff members Nia, Max and Sylvia and Angel are all so welcoming and great you with a smile and make sure you have what you need as a customer. I’ve rented from other locations but none can top this location warm, friendly and welcoming environment and enterprise has the best prices compared to Avis, budget and hertz. They also have an exotic car collection and so far my boyfriend has rented a Maserati ghibili car and suv, Range Rover, Jaguar F pace and other nice cars that will definitely get you on your way in style.

I took an Uber here just to be informed that my reservation was for nothing. They didn’t offer any solution for the reservation it was just ignored due to lack of inventory although I continued to receive emails and text about checking in and my reservation is ready. I then later found out about a wait list that i wasn’t offered either. I was extremely disappointed with the service process. Please try harder.

We had other proof of residency in addition to our frequent rental history (always using the same card)with this specific office. Comment: I got a rental from this location. The vehicle the gave me had broken bolts. The tier was hold by only one. My family could of died. This car was not properly serviced. On top of that tow truck was called and canceled enterprise fail to notify and waited for 3 hours from midnight until 3:00 am. No one to help us. We booked a hotel that cant even get to because no one is helping us. Unreliable company if you need help and put my family’s life at risk. We got lucky that the tier did not come off. So I did my reservations for 1030am. Arrived around 1005am and waited almost 2 hrs for the employee to tell me they dont have any trucks available but yet they charged my credit card which is pending charges. This is unacceptable where I drove out of my way and waited for them to say they dont have any after the reservation person called to confirmed. The wait is way too long for one and to top is off I was late for work and.my son had to take time from work to go back and.pick me up . This is the last time I rwnt from this place ever. They got do busy that they ran out if the inventory I didnt even get the car that I reserved. The car was a toyota 2020 it was nice on the outside but in the inside it was stained and smelled like smoke. It was disgusting so I cleaned it myself and brought air freshener. The best they got for the experience is that I got 15 dollars extra credit with my return deposit. But me and my children had to endure the smoke smell. It was terrible.

Comment: I rent from Enterprise a lot; and I mean a lot. I have a future/upcoming rental scheduled for a trip I have in December 2020 already set/scheduled. I love their customer service and I loved the Nissan that I drove this weekend to Vegas.I am satisfied with my rental; but to be COMPLETELY satisfied, I would be completely satisfied if the charges for an “additional day” of $78 was or will be refunded back to me. I wasn’t aware of how the process worked about dropping off my car at 9am on Monday. With the hour grace period even, I hit track coming back home from LA and I dropped the car off a shade over two hours behind schedule....but I was charged a FULL days rental for that mistake and lack of judgment on my part.I will be back of course; but that was a costly mistake for the couple of hours being late at almost an $80 charge. So if I could please get that charge placed back into my account, to my debit card, I’d be completely 100% satisfied. Just saying.Thanks for everything.

I was in a rush to make my appointment so I took the downgrade. Once I was on the road and turned in the air it had a horrible smell, so I couldn’t enjoy the air on that hot day. When I turned in the car they some how twisted up over $600 dollars of my money. They returned some but $329 is still pending in my account that they claim they’re unaware of. My credit union is up on it and will release it today. This was a nasty experience; it’s the beginning of the month when all of my bills are due.

As you wait on hold, all you hear is “we are family owned in a corporate world, we will pick you up, we are all about you, we will pick you up.” Well, I called and asked what the range for their “we will pick you up” acclimation. The customer service rep states “25 miles Sir.” I checked Google Maps and it shows 20.0 miles, door to door. I make a two day reservation based on the info provided. I get a call shortly after confirming my reservation to advise me that they will not be able to pick me up. I ask why and got a range of answers including new management, new employee, new rules, and best yet - not allowed due to insurance; we got in trouble for previously providing pick-up to you at your location. Give the competition a try, these folks have lost sight that your’s and my dollars are what keeps them viable. Vote with your dollars!

But this time I rented a Dodge mini van. There was this smell of burned chemical coming from the Minivan and it it made my daughter nauseas it was strong it made me uncomfortable. My husband also noticed. I notified the person that took my rental and hopefully fixed it so the next person doesn’t have the same experience. I have never before had an issue. My insurance company made a reservation due to an accident and representative called me to tell me they had a reservation but no cars so I’d have to wait. I call the next day and I’m told to call in at 3pm to check if any cars have been returned. I call and get through after half an hour wait. The rep says the people in the lobby are priority which was not explained to me in the earlier phone call. He says he will get a manager to speak to me and I’m put on hold for another 30 minutes to get another rep who knows nothing about the situation. I call my insurance and they attempt to call and the representative says that Enterprise representative hung up on her. No coincidence that she gets bad customer service herself. Her manager informs her that because of their contract and my waiting a day already I should be on queue. I call again and talk to a Many who says for me to come in and I’d be 11 on the queue to get a car. None of this was explained to me in our call. He said that even though they get a reservation they don’t know I want a car so they don’t reserve one. His explanation was that my car can be drivable therefore they don’t reserve a car for me. Why would my insurance make a reservation if I was not in need of a car? He wanted me to go to the office with my wife and kids who were just in accident and wait for a car. They have this whole recording about how great the customer service is, which leaves me at a loss for words. Lack of empathy and training that I’m sure starts with poor management.

Comment: The staff here has changed so the customer service isn’t as great as it was before. I’ve had to bring back cars because there was always some sort of mechanical issue with them. I’m currently waiting and they’ve had two customers already switch out because of mechanical issues. Secondly, they almost NEVER have the type of car you reserve. For example if I reserved a compact SUV, chances are they won’t have any on the lot. They also don’t bother to tell you, instead they’ll give you a vague generic answer about “they’ll get you going, sit tight and we will see what we have available”. Now I understand you won’t ALWAYS have what I reserved, however not telling the customers that you don’t have anything right now and you’re not sure how long the wait will be is ridiculous. The wait times vary between 10-45 minutes just to even get in a car, and often times it’s not even the type you reserved. I would assume a place as busy as this would ensure that they have a flow of cars on any given day. I mean why not get other cars from other enterprises? Or be upfront with the customer and offer them to come back at a later time? Or at least a discount. Lastly, they used to make phone calls as part of their customer service follow up. I’ve rented a few times in the last month or so, and haven’t gotten any of those. Quality at this location has definitely gone down. It is mediocre at best.

Comment: Great service from the agent when I picked up the car, but poor and unprofessional service for a man who answered the phone.I told him that I was trying to located the agent helped me when I picked up the car, but he said I dont know. I had rented a full size car at least a month in advance, was told when we went to get the car that there was no full size cars available but, We can see what we have if you want to upgrade for a small fee When we looked at the first car available for us to upgrade to it smelled like stale smoke, the 2nd one smelled like weed. We were then given an option of a newer car, we were not told it was smaller, and a lower level of car but we ended up with that because it was the only other car that didnt smell like smoke or that wasnt going to cost us to upgrade. HOW?! because I checked my credit card statement. I was not sent a receipt, no call saying they were going to charge it. NOTHING! Comment: Tim at Enterprise took great care of me after having back surgery, I needed to have a larger more comfortable vehicle. H gave me the best vehicle on the lot at no extra cost. He did without hesitation and very enthusiastic. I always go there when I need a rental, Palmdale office was horrible, I do not want to start on that place... Thanks Tim!I recently rented at this location again in Jan 2019, I was assisted by Nick Reuter to get a more comfortable vehicle rather than the smaller one; he also understood and did it without hesitation.I appreciate the team at this location, they get very crowded in the mornings, I know why now, the customer service is of the charts!

Comment: The manager that is there is a real sweetie pie. I do a fair amount of traveling when I have to and I did not know about the new policy on renting now. I had everything except a utility bill in my name (They are all in my husband name). I needed a car and he was not only caring by trying everything he could possibly do to help me out. He was very thoughtful, because he offer to take me where I needed to go. .

Comment: Vehicles provided for warranty claims are consistently well worn with mechanical issues. They also smell bad. Minimal (one to zero) selection available. An opportunistic effort was made to bill me for wear items and mysterious dents in the tailgate (see photos - where are the dents???). Legally advised not to play into this type of behavior. Concerns filed against branch with BBB/AG. Very disappointing. Will advise dealership on shady behavior.

Comment: The reason why I ended doing business with this company and facility was thanks to Hertz in Clairmont CA renting me a car that stunk like cigarette smoke, which anyone suffering from migraines knows what happened next. I tried to get the car exchanged at the Lancaster CA location, but to my surprise Hertz had ZERO cars. Waited about 2 hours and at the same time contacted my auto insurance to set me up with another company. When I arrived to Enterprise a block from Hertz I couldnt believe the operation going on!!! Cars being returned, washed, rented...like hot potatoes!!!! Left in a clean car and took care of all the billing with the insurance. Thank you for turning what seemed a nightmare at that time into a pleasant experience.

Comment: Great Staff, location, and price. I have used Hertz, and Avis--and this Lancaster location is my go to. They treat the customer right. I needed the vehicle an extra day, gave them a call, and no problem. The help they offered an elder with a physical challenge was stellar. They once came and picked up me and my 90 year old mother! Comment: The one thing that gets me back to Enterprise is the people. My recent interaction did not go as well as expected, but the rep (Andrew) went out of his way to make sure I was satisfied. My car was totaled so the insurance company set up the rental. Since my totaled vehicle was am eight passenger vehicle, I informed the insurance company and they approver a large SUV. When I went to Enterprise to pick up my vehicle, they were unaware of the size of vehicle required. I explained the situation but was told they did not have an Expedition or Tahoe. I was given a Dodge Journey and was very unhappy with it. The vehicle was a basic model and totally under powered. I called the store several times to swap to a better vehicle but was always told to call back. This went on for two weeks. Finally the last week, I spoke to manager Tim and he told me that he had an Expedition for me. I went in the next morning and picked it up after waiting for almost an hour for them to get one ready for me. Again, I was met by Andrew who went out of his way to make sure things got done. Andrew went as far as cleaning the vehicle. I was very impressed with his attitude and professionalism. Because of Andrew, I will return to Enterprise. I was very unhappy with vehicle selection.

Comment: The car rental and service overall was nice. the only complaint I have is from the website where I ordered my car. I ordered a Standard size car, and I believe I said yes to pay 15 $ more for an upgrade, and when I showed up to the dealer, they said I had ordered a compact! So, was asked to pay more for an upgrade, and my total went from like 124$ to 145. I was no happy with that. I dont know if I can prove it, want to spend the time proving it, but that is what happened.

Comment: I used to prefer enterprise, especially this branch.. Until about 2 weeks ago. They rented me a defective car, the bumper was LITERALLY COMING OFF. I took it back the next morning and the heavy set Caucasian woman who identified herself as a manager told me that was normal.. I called the Toyota dealership, bumpers coming off is not normal (duh). Anyways, they offer to switch us cars BUT the only car they had was an even crapier car.. I decided I didnt want it, Im paying 200dollars a week for a car, why should I be uncomfortable?? They didnt offer any solution.. Not even a call to another location. They didnt even offer us a ride home.. HERTZ GAVE US A RIDE HOME. I made a complaint with customer service and have gotten no response from the branch. In total Ive contacted customer service 9 times and no response. If this is how you treat customers now, I will happily spend my money at Hertz from now on.

Comment: Left me stranded. Multiple times I have rented from this location. Each time I have set up a time to be picked up, each time they have been late by at least 30 min up to 1.5 hrs. This time I asked what I had to do to get them to pick me up at the time, I was transferred to the manager. I asked him multiple times what I had to do to get someone to pick me up at the appointment time his response was that because the shuttle was free that I could not expect them to be on time. When I asked again what I needed to do or how much time should I allow he responded by saying that I had a rebuttal to everything and that there was no reason to rent me the car and hung up. I wasnt rude, belligerent, or unreasonable but I was left stranded. Cant do 0 stars so 1 it is.

The rep (a woman, cant recall her name) advised me to use my Costco or AAA benefits when my CC limit wouldnt cover the amount of the dep+rental. That meant everything to me. Comment: Was in a wreck on a Friday and finally able to leave the scene without my smashed car at 5:46 p.m. out here in Lancaster. Everything closed at 6:00p.m. I Ubered here and they took great care of me. Got me in and out quick without rushing me. Super professional and understanding. Luckily I got their standard coverage, as I must suck as a driver, got minor damage due to big truck throwing debris into windshield. They were just great.

Comment: My experience with the people at ENTERPRISE is always great. Their customer service is awesome. But this last car was not a good fit. It was really bad on gas and it drove really bad on the highway. It was that jeep with the auto stick. It would have been nice to inform me of this so I could have told him that i did not want that particular car.I didnt realize until i was actually on the highway. Now i just have to remember never to rent that again. I think it was the last thing on the lot because i did not reserve a jeep. But other than that everything else was good and Im still a satisfied customer.

Comment: I have used Enterprise many many times in the past and always had a great experience. Im even an enterprise rewards customer. This was the absolute worst rental experience in my life. I reserved a car weeks in advance for a road trip from LA to Denver for July 1st. I arrived to pick up my 10:00am appointed car a little early. When I got there I saw a line of a half a dozen people in front of me. They only had one person behind the counter and two or three people checking the cars in & out. Things seemed to be moving very very slow. The line never seem to go down, as soon as one person was helped another one would walk in. By the time I got my paperwork completed and in the car driving off the lot it was 12:00 their closing time. It took exactly 2 hours to get my car from the time I walked in the door! My advice to you is never ever rent a car in a holiday weekend! My advise to Enterprise add extra staff on holiday weekends! 2hrs is totally unacceptable for a wait time to rent a car!

Comment: My experience with reservations has been great. my pick-ups and drop-offs have been great. The thing that bothers me the most is the cleanliness of the Vehicles and the fact that they have no gas in them until here just recently, and how they try to charge me more than the reservation quoted amount putting it on the taxes that hadnt been added yet which becomes a lot more than the original quoted reservation. I rent from Enterprise quite often since my vehicle is on decline. I like the location and most of the representatives there.

The woman working there assured me there would be no additional charges to extend the time on my rental. Also when I came into extend it, no one mentioned any additional charges. Comment: Last week I decided to rent a car at the last minute; made a reservation online. Online I had reserved an intermediate car at $32.29 a day. The agent at the counter was very helpful and despite it being mid-morning Saturday the process was very quick.My problem started out on the lot. A different agent showed me the cars available and said to pick what I wanted. I said I had reserved a car like a Corolla and she showed me larger cars; I assumed the ones she showed me were the same price range. I ended up choosing a Ford Fusion and during the process of checking out I was asked if I wanted the various types of insurance. I said “how much would it be” and she said $37 a day. I assumed I was looking at cars in the $32 range and the addt’l coverage was $5.00 which would make the total $37.00 per day.Imagine my surprise when I brought the car back and my $32.29 a day rental cost me $162.67 for 2 days. The car was actually $40.29 a day and the insurance was $36.42 a day. Won’t make that mistake again.****** I would like to take the time to update this review. I was contacted by a member of the California Management Team to discuss my concerns regarding the issue listed above. The man I spoke to listened to my concerns, offered his apologies for the misunderstanding, indicated they like to use customer comments and concerns for training and he had the charge for the insurance refunded to my account. Comment: I had gotten a great deal through my insurance company who helped me save a lot of money. When we went there we first were told we had to wait for thirty minutes then, we our rate went up $400s. Usaa, insurance, was covering my insurance for the rental and covering my young driver fee. She then told me I had to pay insurance. I will defiantly not be coming back to enterprise after this experience.

Comment: I usually use Budget as I have a Fastbreak card which makes everything very quick. They were not available in the town I was in so I chose Enterprise. I was in a hurry that morning because the rental facility doesnt open until 9am on Sunday. The clerk was very courteous and although others were waiting as well, he worked very expediently to get me out so I wouldnt miss my plane. The car was great, very clean! I only needed the car for 2.5 hours to get to L.A. My only complaint would be that the facility closes at 1pm on Saturday and reopens at 9am on Sunday. If I were able to pick up the car when I got into town on Saturday evening, I would not have had any worries about loading and getting on the road on Sunday. I do understand that the hours were probably limited because it is a smaller city. I appreciate the urgency of the clerk at the Lancaster, CA facility.

Comment: I have used them many times. Very good prices - very good service ... just have to check what they tell you. I was told to bring the car back at the same gas level (I was told it was 3/4 tank) and I accepted that amount without double checking the lady, but when I looked at the tank after accepting and driving away, it was closer to 1/2 tank. I dont dare take it back at the level it was when I accepted it, because I agreed to the higher amount. I will definitely use them again, but I will certainly watch that issue.

Comment: I used to rent at Hertz across the street, but after multiple bad experiences I decided to try Enterprise. The first thing I noticed was the pick up/drop off service which is so convenient. I thought Enterprise was expensive but it turns out the prices are VERY competitive, and the service is outstanding. I rent an average of a car a week, sometimes twice in a week, and I have never had an issue with the vehicles -- Ive been able to drive very stylish vehicles too ! It has only been three months with steady rentals and I have already achieved Silver status as an Enterprise Plus member.What I love most about this location is the welcome that you receive walking in -- they dont look at you as if you are interrupting their day. The hours are amazing and can only be beat by 24 hour airport location hours. You wont find a dependable car rental agency that is open on Saturday until 3pm!I know that there are some complaints about the documentation requirement. While they do require extensive documentation for debit cards/money order rentals, they are the only rental car agency that I know of that doesnt do a credit check for these rentals, which is great if you dont want a hard inquiry on your credit report. Its pretty awesome as an option for people who may be rebuilding their credit.I will miss the team while I am away for vacation, but go visit this location for great service. Mumtaz, Shenora, Steven, and the rest of the crew will make the best out of the experience. Enterprise will remain my top choice.
