I probably called numerous times about car availabilities, insurances, what-if scenarios, and he was very patient answering all of my needs. I felt taken cared of at this location, and would recommend anyone in need of a car rental to go here.

I wasn’t charged the additional day that I had the car past my insurance coverage and was given an additional discount off the rate to boot. They do care about customer service here and I appreciate the extra effort they made to make things right.—(Original review) I waited 30 minutes for the car that I picked out to be cleaned, only to be told at the last minute that it had a recall and was offered another car that was just brought in, being told it didn’t need to be cleaned because the previous customer had it such a short time, as I watched someone drive off in the car I waited for. I later looked it up and found out that the last recall on the car I wanted was back in 2022, so either Enterprise is grossly negligent when it comes to maintaining their cars or I was lied to. 🤔 Also the car they gave me had a busted stereo and smelled like the last person smoked in it. Honestly, feeling pretty crummy about this experience.

Comment: This enterprise location has outstanding staff. Small office and parking, not many cars on-site. However, the team make it possible. We picked up our car around 10:20am today(Halloween), the two guys in the office were efficient, knowledgeable, patient, and friendly.The carr we got was clean. They have 4.5 star review as of 10/31 which is good for a car rental company, their reviews could have been higher because a lot of bad reviews were from some 6 years ago, different management team I think. Highly recommended!

Comment: We booked an economy car for $39.99 per day. When we went to pick up the car they did not have the right size car for us. The guy asked us to pick one of the two cars left. He did not inform us that we needed to pay extra for a bigger car despite the fact that it was their miscalculation and not to have the right size of the car we booked on the spot. He did not inform us about the fuel option either. He just told us to bring the car back with the same amount of gas and if not, Enterprise charged same rate as other gas stations. Later when we got the bill, there was a fuel option charge and he charged as the car rental for $42.99 per day! Be careful and make sure you are not being charged for something you did not sign up. Other than that, the staffs were friendly.

The woman who checked us in was knowledgable and patient as we chose the car we wanted to take on a long road trip. Pricing was more than fair for a last minute booking the week of Christmas. I received the standard service at the Shattuck Street, Berkeley, Enterprise earlier this month, which means that I got a great upgrade, a bit of extra time with the rental &, most importantly, super-friendly & super-helpful service. The Enterprise agent worked hard to meet my specific needs, then went quite a bit further! Moreover, when I accidentally left my house keys in the rental, staff found them & brought them to me very quickly! [Dont try testing this -- Enterprise has a very efficient system that makes car rental & drop-off almost seamless, so I really try to avoid getting in their way!] I really hope that there is never an occasion that I have to go to another car rental place.

Comment: Great service!! After a bad experience with Hertz where I always rent from, we decided to give Enterprise a shot. The guys called me the day before to verify my reservation and asked me if it was possible to go earlier to pick up the car since they knew it would be a busy Saturday before a long weekend!So we did, and the next morning we saw when we arrived at 8 in the morning that a few people had received the same call and were already there. No problem whatsoever since the guys were very fast and well organized, it took max 10 min to get us ready.To our surprise the car we had reserved was not available and only a minivan was available instead. To a bigger surprise to me (after a similar horrible Hertz experience), the guys at Enterprise were AMAZING and did EVERYTHING to make it right to us. They gave as a generous discount on the minivan making it actually cheaper than the intermediate we had booked, and even gave us gas allowance to compensate for the lower MPG of the minivan. Both Hung and the guy at the counter (cant unfortunately remember his name) definitely won my business over and we will be coming back!

Comment: Prior to my current experience I have only used Enterprise once before by no choice of my own. My vehicle was in the shop and the dealer had no loaner cars to give out. They instead gave me a voucher for the Enterprise down the street. I thought going back to Enterprise several weeks later when my vehicle was totaled in a wreck was a no brainer. I could not have been more wrong. With the exception of Donald, one of the managers who was very accommodating and respectful, every other interaction I have had with the company to date has been vastly aggravating and a complete waste of time. After renting a car for a week I needed to renew for another. It took me almost two hours to get someone on the phone to inform them I would like to extend. When you call Enterprise you go directly to a national call center, not the actual branch you want to talk to. If that branch is on the phone or busy you keep getting bounced around the call center. This is where I was informed by an Enterprise employee about 45 minutes into the hold time that I would just need to sit and wait on hold even if it took all day. After finally getting through to them and renewing my rental vehicle which took all of 5 seconds, I contacted their facebook page to make them aware of the issue I had. Half way through speaking with a representative named John about the matter, he started referring to me as Mr. Hobbs. Yes, Mr. Hobbs. How this came to be I am just not sure. One might have to imagine that Enterprise is so inundated with un-happy customers that they can not even keep up with who they are talking too. At the end of our conversation John assured me to be patient and that someone would contact me shortly to resolve any issues I might have. As of writing this review today it has been a little bit over a week and I yet to hear back from Enterprise. Unfortunately I had to call them again today to ask for a receipt that I could submit to my insurance company for reimbursement. After much discussion with the representative they informed me that they could not email me a receipt. They... could not... email me a receipt. I was informed that Enterprises computers are not capable of directly emailing a customer. I was then instructed if I wanted a receipt I would have to come into the store to get a paper copy. I am just not sure what else to say about that situation. When you are on hold with Enterprise their hold music ad makes such statements as; We are a family owned company., We keep things pretty simple., We are not corporate., We respect our customers.. I could go on and on about the ridiculousness I experienced with Enterprise but I really do not want to waste anymore of my time. I feel dumber for ever having interacted with this company.UPDATE 08SEPT17I highly doubt anyone is even going to believe this, I know that I am having trouble getting my head around it. Yesterday 07SEPT I missed a call from this Enterprise branch, they left me a voicemail stating that they have in fact sold the car I am renting and they need me to bring it back...yes they sold the car I am renting and now would like me to bring it back to their store. After contacting Enterprise again multiple times through Facebook I have received the same old response thank you for your patience a regional manager will contact your shortly. It has now been 12 days since I first asked to be contacted and have yet to receive any actual help More up dates to come from this mind numbing experience. Looks like I will try to contact Carol and see what she has to say.UPDATE 19SEPT17We are coming up on 23 days now of Enterprise informing me that they will be in touch as soon as possible.I contacted Carol, my email was responded to by a woman named Alison. Alison assured me that they would be in touch but also provided me with a contact number for her in case I wanted to call first. So I called twice and left voicemails both times. Zero response from Kelly Hunt the Regional Vice President who was supposed to be calling me. Do not waste your time with these people.

Comment: Great experience at this rental site. Though their choice of cars is limited (they have a very small lot), my Nissan Sentra was just fine. I came early in the morning (soon after they open at 7:30 am) and was waited on immediately. Staff were uniformly pleasant and helpful. Much less hassle than schlepping all the way out to the airport. Ill definitely rent from this location again.

Ive seen them deal with difficult people including me on one occasion and the staff never lose their professional composure. Great customer service training.

Comment: This enterprise is totally disorganized and disrespectful. It took 40 mins for them to answer these questions: How much was the total for one week of the nissan rental I had? How much was the total for 2 weeks rental of the Elantra? What is the procedure for the claim on car from some light damage? Im fine if it takes a long time because its complicated, not fine if its because I have to ask each question over and over again and get different answers every time. First I was given the daily rate, then I was given the weekly rate, then told the tax. In every case the numbers did not add up until the very end when I made myself explicitly clear for the 100th time. When calling today to confirm the rental charges they said the car rental contract was closed to which I asked so I wony get charged anymore. They said yes that they collected the $200 deductible. We went around in circles regarding some damage to the car at which point I reminded them that their last agent, on Monday the 24th said that they wanted to go ahead and collect a $500 deductible. Um, no you will not just go ahead. Then they later explained to me after much more vague question answering that it would only be the security deposit and then up to the deductible amount. So after telling me I was not going to get charged anymore after this bill that there was a claim open and that I could get charged up to this stated deductible. The problem was not their policies, except for when you switch cars out they count the time it was used it from the original rental you had even though you sign new paperwork for the new car, the problem was their complete lack of understanding of their own numbers and systems. They gave me disjunct answers and even pulled the let me find out and put you on hold in response to one of my questions. When the manager came back it was almost like he didnt know who I was...he didnt say, excuse me, now heres my answer. When I asked him if he had gotten an answer to my question his reply was, what question?. I asked what he had put me on hold for then to which he replied, oh the phone rang. I told him Id wait again and he said that I hadnt asked a question. The heck I didnt...he just pulled the classic put you on hold and ask you to ask again. Then finally I got back to my question and he mentioned my insurance having a $500 (which is what I had said in the question). So he did hear the question....to which he replied that I had just told him in the previous sentence (after the hold, not before). No, no I didnt I told you during the time I asked this question you claim I didnt...Very confusing and disjunct treatment. They dont know their own system and have a difficult time communicating clearly. Regardless if whether the car came back damaged or not I still deserve customer service that isnt rude, that doesnt flip-flop, and that doesnt put me on hold to avoid answering a question. Totally disgraceful. I was happy with Enterprise until there was a problem, at which point they showed their true colors.Also be aware if you switch out cars they will charge your time used based on the original car not the new car even though you sign a new contract...seems fishy and honestly makes no sense.NEVER AGAIN WILL I RENT FROM ENTERPRISE. NEVER.

Comment: They didnt have my car ready so they offered to have another driven over from the Oxford location or give me an upgrade to the next level at 50% off. Pretty thrilled to have a Cadillac CTS for only $30 more.Super courteous and friendly service as well as a wide selection of vehicles!
