Comment: I WAS Verbally attacked by one of the employees that wash cars at this location to my surprise. After I told the manager, and I called corporate, letting them know about one of their employees telling me to step up to him me being a woman, and to hit him, and he kept on saying hit me, hit me and youre gonna see whats gonna happen to you I was surprised three weeks later to see the same employee still there working at this enterprise rental car so enterprise loves backing up men that loves to get aggressive with women and attempt to get them to get so mad To try to step up to him so he has an excuse to hit a Woman because thats how mad he gets that he cant control his anger this Company backs up a man That loves to hit women I think women should not be coming to this location because youre not safe with people like that working there Ur NOT SAFE AS A WOMAN coming here this location will defend a man that tries to attack a woman this employees love to talk CRP about u in Spanish when they think u dont understand but when u confront them they get offended 🛑🛑🛑🛑STAY AWAY LADIES

Comment: Had to use Enterprise through my car insurance, and I honestly would have been better off buying a used Power Wheels toy car than a car from Enterprise. Oscar Tostado lied about the additional insurance coverage I asked for for ONE day, just long enough so that I could confirm my insurance covered my rental vehicle, and it turned into a two-month saga that still isnt resolved. He lied to my face about the coverage and I received no documentation describing what it would actually take to get the coverage taken off.On top of that, when I returned the rental, I received no documentation of proof Id turned it in and was told a branch manager would call me by the end of the week to discuss the hundreds of dollars in extra charges Enterprise put on my card without my consent. They claimed they couldnt see a note saying the insurance coverage was taken off, despite me doing everything I was told Id need to do to get it taken off, and what can I do as a customer with only the documentation Enterprise gave me? No manager call ever came, and when I call the location, my call is disconnected. This place is an absolute failure of a business and I wouldnt even recommend it to my worst enemy.

Comment: They gave me a car with a gas tank leak. I woke up to my driveway full of gas. Enterprise wouldn’t send someone to pick up the vehicle until the fire department cleared it. I had to take a day off work and they still charged me for the rental.

Comment: My experience at this location started off great, I enjoyed the staff and my rental. The reason I am leaving a bad review is because 4 different staff members told me in person and over the phone, I COULDN’T return the vehicle to any other location but theirs. The day of the drop off I was 19miles away from that Downey location and expressed their is a closer one to my current location (3 miles up the road), she told me I couldn’t return it to that location because my rental was through insurance. I said okay, but I went ahead and called the location up the road… GUESS WHAT THEY SAID??? 🤠 “Yes miss you can most definitely return your rental to ANY location since your rental is through insurance. I think that was pretty messed up. Never coming back here again.

The other locations were trying to get me to spend more money and she was just interested in getting me the right vehicle at the right price that my insurance would cover, since my car had been recently stolen and this was an insurance claim. Comment: I had a reservation set up with enterprise through my dealer. I called this location to confirm a car was ready and my reservation was in the system. I was told the reservation was set up for another location. so before switching, I confirmed they had an available car for me. They said yes. I asked if I needed a ride. I said maybe so I confirmed my address of pick up, they said I was within the 2 miles and a pick up could be arranged. So I changed the reservation to their location. I called back to set up a pick up time. Once again confirmed my pick up location. They said they would set up a pick up it would just take time. I agreed as long as i had the car before 2pm. Over an hour went by I called again. This time I was told a pick up would not be done because I was out of the pickup area. At this point it is the set pick up time and now they are telling me I am not within the area when at least twice I confirmed I was. I spoke to the manager and they did nothing to help. It was not my fault. I was clear on my address and when I needed the car by. So from 9 am to 1:30 pm and several calla confirming everything I was left with “ we can transfer you to the one who picks up your area”.l 30 min before I had to have the car and be on my way to work. This manager did not even try to help me. The other location did not have a car available to even help me out. I was left without a car for another day. I expressed my disappointment and the manager showed no sign of care.

She Left my daughter stranded In La Cresenta with special needs child.From my daughter owning and driving a Honda Civic Sports 2022 in the body shop- we are a Mercury Direct Referral-She was downgraded to an UNSAFE a dysfunctional high risk car with a taped leverage- NISSAN- see Pictures in YELP review.UnbearableThis is how clients are treated- Down graded-This location wasn’t like this- seems new management disgraced the location.I had to resolve this during my job and call Glendale Enterprise, Corporate and email CEO Christine.I made numerous calls and rushed to get my daughter placed into another car as she would make it back home with fuel and evening was approaching, the anxiety and distress was horrible.Yet Marie stopped answering the Phoneline.Glendale Enterprise Foothill Felipe Ferreira was a gentleman and so sensitive to getting this resolved. Comment: The new manager was assisting me and I rent often from this location and usually they allow me to bring the car back first thing Monday morning and don’t charge me for that day since sundays they aren’t open. The new manager refused and said that’s more and likely why she the manager and the other one got fired. She was being sarcastic when saying she wouldn’t and chuckling with a attitude when saying she didn’t believe they did it. At the end I just took the car regardless I needed it and when I treated her the same she said if I wanted someone else to help me and I said nope. She was very unpolite and kept asking if I’m sure I want the car still. I said yes about 4 times before I told her to stop asking me that because I’ve said yes 4 times.

Comment: 🚨Fraud 🚨Go there at your own risk. I spoke to corporate in regards to my situation. Please read before signing anything with them. I requested certain amount of days (they only provided some days and waited until the last min in order to charge me from my deposit) after that they will try to create a new contract by paying back the $300 deposit. Just for them to get more rental agreement in order to meet their quota. Aside from that they will overcharge you for the days. Meaning to say that if you rent a car at regular value which is 26-48 they they will charge you a midrange amount to make it seamless. Be aware if you go through an insurance since they will try to scam them & if the insurance doesn’t take care of your car, you will have to pay out of pocket. (Money you will never see again). Corporate requested me their names, and address. This will be legally escalated by suing them with an internal statement of racial profiling and racist behavior to some of my colleagues to whom they know their names and one used to be a friend from HS who got fired for my following their scam tactics.

Comment: If I could leave 0 stars I would. I am writing on behalf of my mom. For starters she got her rental stolen that had not only had her purse but a lot of her personal documents in the car. She went went to enterprise this morning and the individual that was “helping” her made her feel as if she was the perpetrator as if it was her fault. Like she asked for the car to be stolen! Like make that make sense?? He proceeded to press her for the keys and she explained to them the keys had fallen out of her pocket and he proceeded to put the blame on her and tell her she in charge of paying for the vehicle in a very hasty and accusatory way. As if she wasn’t stressed enough. You’d expect people to return lost car keys to a worker in the store right? Who would ever think their vehicle would get stolen?? It’s crazy that we live in a world like this. She was told by the person “helping” her she would get a call from the billing department to set up payments for the car without giving her a solution or someone she could talk to. I should note that she got insurance through enterprise so you’d expect that would cover anything unexpected that would happen right? Wrong she was told it does not cover anything. I hope this individual can learn some empathy and how to speak to people who are in distress. Overall this individual made my mom feel less and disgusted.

Comment: I usually give a higher rating for enterprise, but the last two times I rented from here there were no cars available even though I had reservations. The first time this happened I had to wait 2 hours for a car. Each time I was given a car that cost more to rent. The most recent time I reserved a mini van in advance and when I got there they did not have a mini van. The staff claimed I never confirmed, which I did call back to confirm and I even showed that on my phone. I eventually was given a car that, again, cost more money then the car I rented. The manager did give me a discount however I feel I should not be charged more for something that is their mistake. This is the second time this happened in a row. Not sure if this is a tactic to get more money or just bad luck. Sadly it’s time to move on from enterprise.

Were looking for cars says a rental car company. People in side had no clue about anything. Every answer was call the branch. You arrive within 10 minutes and they have you waiting for an hour And tell you that there will be no car available for my trip.The manager gave me a letter for free rental car for two days in the future. I called in and the new manager, I was told his name is Grant, said that they will not honor the letter.So not only did this company prove to be unreliable, but also shady to its customers.

Comment: This one star is for Enterprise Rent-A-Car in General. The staff are nice and friendly at this branch but the cars are too old and theyre not looking nice and clean anymore. I understand the car shortage but we pay for the rental cars and deserve better. Because of my job, I have to rent a car occasionally and this is getting worse and worse. I had reserved a full size car for this time and I may have to keep it for two months. The first car was a Ford Taur that it had 54k miles on it and the right mirror didnt work. I asked them to switch the car. The next one was a Mitsubishi outlander that I had to have it with 37K miles, stains on the seats and broken light.

Comment: My husband and I are out of town truck drivers. We had to drop our truck off to get worked on. We made a reservation for a car on the app. He even called and made sure it went through and the payment was a debit card (we checked the box on the app accepting additional money to be held because it was a debit card) we spend $40 on a Lyft to get there, waited for over an hour for them to clean a car and did the walk through and made it to check out. While finalizing paperwork and payment we were asked for a credit card to be put in file. We don’t run credit cards. This was also why we called to make sure the debit card was okay and why we authorized additional funds ($200+) to be held on our account. The gentleman told us that they just needed something else on file for the rental, then a girl who was near came over and said no, they have to have a credit card and it has to be all charged on it. So we showed her the rental confirmation, showed where the authorized the funds for the debit card, at no point does it say additional payment needed.... and her response was that it wasn’t their policy and they don’t do that with out of town rentals. We were already there past closing time from waiting to get a car and then we had to wait outside of their closed gates for a Lyft and spend another $40 to get to a hotel. This is the second issue we’ve had with enterprise has a company. And I can promise you after this one, there won’t be a third.

When I got to this location, I found out that the rep who made the reservation made it for the wrong dates and the Branch manager Jennifer along with the area manager Ryan did not want to accommodate us as there company made an era with the reservations. I was then blocked from renting because I was upset about the situation which was not at all my fault. The area manager saw how upset I was and did not even come over to de-escalate or try and resolve my problem. I also called corporate and have yet to hear back. Garbage service and if no apology, I will take other measures. Channel 7 news!

Comment: The day of the rental, everything went well. A young man came to pick me up from my job, 1-2 miles away from Enterprise and proseases me immediately upon arrival to the lot. I was out in about 10 minutes.However, the next day, I got my personal vehicle back, so because I did not have anyone to go with me to the lot, my plan was to drive my car to Enterprise, on my lunch break, because my car was 10 miles away, and the rental was only 3-4 miles away, then I’d either get a ride from enterprise or get an Uber in which case would be cheaper to Uber 4 miles rather than 10 miles to my car. So, I arrive to Enterprise, which took about 10 minutes to get through traffic on Firestone due to an accident, I parked my personal vehicle in the lot and i explained that I had driven my vehicle and needed to go get the rental. I asked if I could leave my car in the lot and that the rental was close by. Please NOTE is pouring rain during this time. Kevin told me no, I could not leave my car there and did not offer for enterprise to drive me to the vehicle. He told me I would have to drive my car out of the lot and take it next door to the Ralph’s market and leave it there. I explained I was on my lunch break, it was pouring, and I still needed a ride to go pick up the rental. I wasn’t expecting to be longer than 30 my minutes. I went on to say that by driving out of the lot, i would have to drive a couple of blocks, then would not be able to make a U-turn at the light so I would have to make a left and drive another block or two before being able to turn around and drive back to the Ralph’s market. He said no Again to parking my car in their lot and repeated I had to take it to Ralph’s and leave there. Again, no mention of Enterprise giving me a ride, not even after I repeated more than once to him that I needed a ride or needed to call Uber. I was left no choice but to take the drive several blocks down to be able to park next door at Ralph’s (10-15 minutes) From there I called Uber which took another 10 minutes to finally get to me due to the heavy traffic on that street and the rain. By this time, my lunch was pretty much over so I had to call my employer to let them know I would be late. Uber took me to get the rental. I was back at the lot within 30-40 minutes from the time I was picked up. This whole ordeal should have only taken me my 1 hour lunch but instead it took about 2 hours. I’ve been a customer of Enterprise for many years. It was my first and LAST time at the Downey location! Kevin, if that was really his name, was a total jerk!

And I was always completely pleased with everything,there was no bad thing I could say. When i got there i asked for ARNA they told me had been moved to a different location when I asked to which one they wouldnt tell me.So this girl i dont remember her name took me to the car very serious asked me to inspect the exterior of the car for damages (routine) She turned the car on checked where the gas tank lever was at and asked me to sign the paperwork. Gave me the keys and that was that.The car was not washed or clean inside either. Half way into my trip from there to Sacramento the car started to ask for an oil change every 5 minutes. The oil life was marking at 5% it was 5:50 they closed at 6, So i gave them a call and there was no answer. I couldnt get in contact with any other Enterprise location near me and the only one available didnt have a single car to trade.I expected to get a car with no maintenance issues. With no problems before it leaves the lot. No I didnt check anything because like i said I had rented from here many times and i never had an issue before.I went through so much with this last rental and no-one was any help i ended up having to pay for an oil change out of pocket. Waisted a total of about 8 hours of my trip having to deal with all the issues with the car.I rented a specific car because I needed this car so there was no way i could exchange it unless i would get the same make and model, No Enterprise near Sacramento had the car.Returning it was even worst.ARNA wasnt there when I picked it up im 100% positive if he had been the one to give me the keys i would of not had ANY problems, he would of checked the car before handing it to me.The manager that was there when returning it was just very unprofessional, unorganized and simply un willing to help. Everyone was running around not sure what they were doing. Comment: Enterprise Downey saved us! Cannot thank them enough! After arriving in LA we had a reservation at a different car rental place up the road. Upon finding out we were traveling and not residents the staff became rude and even told us we would never get a car and no-one would give us one.We walked 20 minutes in the sun to enterprise purely by chance. Not only were the staff welcoming, they made us feel comfortable, got us a car that day without reservation they even allowed us to extend our trip when we wanted to drive to Vegas. I would recommend Enterprise to anyone and sincerely thank every staff member we interacted with at both Downey, LAX and Las Vegas (Paradise) for their professionalism and perfect customer service!

Comment: Amazing, from start to finish. I was granted my every request and it was a team effort, everyone did a great job making sure my rental and return transactions were completed smoothly. I got a black Chevy Traverse for almost a week 5/31 to 6/5. Special shout out to Arna Bontemps, Paul Try, Joe Grelock, and the onsite Manager whos Traverse I accidently requested to rent. The fact that it was my birthday might have made a difference but I have rented here before and continue to go back because of the service I receive. thank you all again.Melany

Comment: I had the worst phone experience today when I called at 9:40a.m.The first thing I mentioned over the phone was: if they had any available cars, so I could trade the car in, because it needs an oil change. The person mentioned they had a few cars, and if I could please hold.I was on the line for quite a while that the Enterprise Ads stopped and then the phone was on a constant ring.The Person who answered the call after being on hold started treating me as if I was very stupid.He asked me how did I know the car needed an oil change.I mentioned because thats what the light said.He then asked if I was sure it wasnt the check engine light. That some new cars have been getting false readings.I assured him that the car says it needs an oil change, that its oil life is 0% and that an oil change is requiredHe then mentioned If I could give him my phone number to check the last time the car was due for service. Then gave him my number.He then he started treating me as if I was very stupid again.He said: you have called the wrong location this is the downey locationI told him that I knew I had called the downey location that I was just in the SouthGate location but they didnt have any cars.He continued: you have rented a dodge dart from the south gate location.According to our records you are ove due for an oil change in 1k miles. That the last oil change was was last done at 30k miles and is due at 35k miles. Right when I was about to start telling him it was 300 miles till that number. He mentioned that the oil change light begins to appear at 3k miles after its oil change ( as if I didnt know), however, they do the maintenance at the 5k miles mark.In my personal car if I wait till 5k miles my car is very low in oil, as in close to nothing...Then he finally got to the point of my entire call, that the cars they have on saturdays are only for reservations and are limited on time since its Saturday.

Had a bunch of problems with the service as far as insurance coverage questions and being picked up, even though I called beforehand and asked about it.Also, the vehicle I received was in desperate need of maintenance. The brakes squeaked for the entire trip, and the car listed to the right. It needed an alignment.

Comment: I want to thank Sam and Adam for making it an excellent experience. Sam picked me up and was very nice to talk to. Very professional and easy going person. It only took a few minutes from the check in to picking the car ( good selection of cars) and driving off. My drop-off experience was just as good. You can tell that Adam was swamped that day with customers but hey still managed to help everyone out in a timely manner. I would highly recommend downey location next time you need a rental.

Comment: It was the day before thanksgiving and I was driving to SD in an enterprise rental I obtained in Pasadena. When I exited the free way in Downey my rental began to stall at the first stop light. I pulled into this enterprise because the engine light had also turned on and I did not feel safe driving after I pressed the gas and the car would not immediately respond. I walked in and told the girl at the counter the issue I was having with my rental. She looked up my rental information and informed me they only had other category rentals currently available. She then took my keys and we both walked out to confirm my concerns with the car. This enterprise employee told me she would actullay not switch the car because it was the day before thanksgiving and they were too busy and any other enterprise would tell me the same thing. She advised me to return to Pasadena for a switch and if it made me feel better to stop by the local Pep-Boys so they could tell me what the problem was. I parked across the street and called Pasadena enterprise who after a long hold and two disconnected phone calls finally located another enterprise in Buena Park who took their companys broken vehicle and switched it for a truck. Last time I deal with this company after knowing they dont have the clients interest in mind once the client drives off the lot. I am strongly advising all renters to stay away from horrible customer service. Ruined my vacation.

Comment: I rented a car for four days. Today is my fourth day and I havent returned it but so far, the customer service experience has been pleasant. I arrived at the location and I did not have to wait, the person who took care of me was very nice and courteous.However, the car, even though it had been recently washed, smelled so bad! I had to buy air freshner and I think I got used to the fowl smell because the air freshner could completely erase it but it minimized it. The other issue is that the car was shaky! Enterprise, that is a big problem with all of your locations. My company rents with enterprise with the corporate discount so I keep getting cars with the same issues. In December, I traveled to Houston and I was provided with an enterprise car at the airport. That car was also smelly and had an engine light on. It is time for you guys to clean up your cars and give them service. It is not fair for the customers to receive this type of service.

Comment: Reserved a Nissan Altima for a 3-day Vegas trip. Ended up renting a Jeep Latitude instead. Lady that helped me out was super friendly and let me know it was quite good on gas considering it was an SUV. She managed to get me a good price for it and included my military discount. The whole process was simple and fast. I had no issues with the vehicle the whole trip. Will most likely rent from here again. Wish they would extend their pick-up radius and for that reason I take away 1 star from a perfect score.

Low and behold, no amount of $$ will ever suffice for the EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE I received from this Location. Comment: This location is unprofessional on many levels. I rented from here on two occasions now and both were unsatisfactory experiences. The first occasion I was picked up but after I was picked up I still had to wait for an hour even though I called in the morning to make sure that my reservation could be filled. On the other occasion I was denied picked up even though I was previously picked up from my same location. They told me the furthest they drive to pick up is Firestone and Paramount. Really? I tried to meet them and walk to a more convenient pick up and they refused that too. Really, we pick you? It should be we pick you up... when we feel like it.
