Comment: The office on republic Ave in San Leandro, CA. Manager was dismissive and unhelpful. Office seemed unorganized had to sit and wait 1 hour to get into the rental that was previously reserved. The cars they offered had scratches and dings. Make sure you take pictures because they will try to blame you. I witnessed this with a customer as I was waiting. He let the manager know he had video and pictures.

Comment: This place is a joke. I was told to go here at ten am to pick up a rental car which insurance was supposed to pay for. An enterprise employee had arranged it and told me everything was good to go. I showed up and they had no clue what I was talking about. After a few more calls to my insurance I was told to call them back so I did and they said I could come back at 1 to get a car. So I go back at one and they say they don’t have anything for me and to come back at 4. Just skip this place.

This rating is for James Chavez and not necessarily for Enterprise itself, but as a representative of this company, James was bar none in working towards finding our large family transportation after our twelve seater chevy gave us trouble. In spite of my ungodly behavior, James maintained an exceptionally pleasant and professional disposition that was truly inspirational and convicting of my own. Thanks James, you definitely deserve a promotion with a big fat Chrismas bonus!

Comment: What keeps me going back to rent cars from Enterprises are the friendly customer service and the reasonable price on the rentals. The staff at the Clovis location were tentative and went above and beyond in trying to satisfy their customers. The two staff who mostly made me feel valued as a customer at the Clovis location are Joseph and Megan. Besides their friendly customer service attitude, they would go above and beyond to address any concerns I have. Also, the pickup and drop-off services are super awesome service and have made the rental process easy and convenient for me.

Comment: I was in a car accident and all I had to do was show my conformation number to the enterprise associates and they were able to locate my claims number and I was in and out with my rental car less than 30 minutes. My car was in the shop for repairs for about 1 week. When I picked up my car from the shop enterprise had advised me that I could leave the rental car at the shop and everything will be email to me once they had the rental car back at their facility. This was super helpful because I didnt have anyone to take me back to enterprise after I picked up my car from the shop. This teams effort to ensure that this transition from getting the rental car to retuning it back was amazing. I recommend this location off of Clovis Ca. Thank you again team.

James check me out on July 24th. Hes very helpful. Both guys were wonderful.Negative comments was that when I was at Enterprise Rent-A-Car for the 1st time there was a gentleman who took down my information and he said that he will get back to me to let me know if what Ive requested is available. I called back the the office many days after that and no body seems to know whats going so that when I decided to go back on July 21st to reserve my car again. I forgot the name of the guy who took my information when I was there for the first time. Other than that, it was all good.

Comment: Three times in the past I have made reservations with this location. Twice I received a call telling me they were canceling because there would be no car available. The airport location is maybe two miles away from this one. They didnt offer to change the pick up to the airport or help me in any way at all and when I tried to do it myself it doubled the cost of the rental. The lack of consideration or help at this location is unreal. They cancel you with no care about leaving you in a bad situation. I canceled the third reservation and made it with Hertz. I will not try to do business with this location ever again and have already warned friends and family to avoid them or risk being without transportation when its needed.- In reply to the owner below - There is nothing further to address. A car not being available is no excuse for just dumping a customer with no concern to the situation you left them in. Twice, I was not offered any kind of options or help and did not even received an apology. Regardless of the nature of your business, you can change the way you treat people.

Comment: Any time I need to buy a new Tesla or drop one off for service/adding a tow hitch, I use this Enterprise.They have Mercedes SUVs for rentals, which is my preferred rental car, as the shifter is the exact same as in the Tesla Model Y and 3.Staff is courteous, fast to get me in and out AND they will drop you back to where your car is, after you drop the rental off. Prices are really good, as well!Only nitpick is the parking area is small. Just need to be aware of this.

Comment: Came in with several others from the same body shop to get vehicles while work was being done. Things moved along very quickly and efficiently and I was on the road in less than 15 minutes. Returning the vehicle was even faster.It was nice to receive contact from manager about making the rental experience even better, but didnt need to. This was as smooth as possible in my book. Been an Enterprise customer for over 10 years and will continue to do so.The Shields and Clovis branch is very small with high volume turnover, which means you may not get the exact vehicle you reserved, especially when the Ag Expo in Tulare is going on, since this branch is very close to the airport as well. The good news, they always make it right in the end.

Comment: Friendly staff at the Clovis Ave location in Fresno, CA. Quick check-in and check-out. My only complaint would be the limited inventory. I prefer to drive full size cars but often find myself upgraded to SUVs or hybrids. And though Im not opposed to driving hybrids, I find they lack the power to get me through the mountainous terrain of CA. Hybrids work best in the city.

Comment: Arrived in Fresno from Chicago to discover that, although I had a reservation, no rental was available. I know that this happens from time to time especially now with rental fleets thinned out and the chip shortage preventing them from adding to the fleet in addition to me traveling during spring break. What makes the difference with Enterprise is the employees. The manager, Nick, gave me contact info for alternate locations to try and find a car while he also searched for any availability elsewhere. After having no luck on my end I was elated when Nick called me back (most other rental agencies would have forgotten about me as soon as we ended our phone call) to tell me has was able to allocate a car for me. He had the shuttle pick me up and I was off in my rental in no time. There are many rental agencies who may even be cheaper but I wouldnt know because I have used Enterprise exclusively for decades because you always know you will have a great experience, even when things go wrong. Thank you Nick for saving the day! See you again the next time Im in Fresno.

I was in for the same reason insurance said they have a car for me and when I went they had no cars available. They dont offer to call other enterprises to see if they have cars available so you can move your rental reservation...great customer service in my opinion is trying to find a solution when a customer runs in to an issue but they seem to be satisfied telling their customers sorry cant help and not bothering to find solutions...moved our reservation to hertz id rather give my business to a company trying to help me instead of saying well sorry your out of luck I cant help you

Comment: Nobody tries/wants to help unless youre a new customer. So beware and always check the condition of your car before saying yes to them. Its always this company enterprise that has all the bad smelling or smoked out cars. Never have I ever gotten a rental from them that doesnt have a stench of cigarettes. But after you get a vehicle from them and... even when they have vehicles available, they will not assist you anymore. They will only say to come back another day and when you do... same thing happens again and again. Own up to your problems enterprise or at least educate your workers so they dont just try to cheat customers. Even cheaper car rentals dont have smoked out vehicles like enterprise does. They have that $250 fine for smoking sign/sticker for no reason. Its cause not only do the customers take it as a joke but even the workers themselves are in denial and take it even more as a joke.

Comment: Weird, unprofessional experience at this location. I would advice to not choose working with this group. Enterprise has been friendly to work with in general. This trip has unspecific plans about the return date and location (as most of my work reservations are). This location tried every angle to take advantage of my circumstances as I had described initially that I may need to drop off at a different location. They marked my concerns in my reservation to maximize the opportunity to charge me additional fees. I have dropped off a car at other locations with enterprise and they didn’t mind if I told them upfront but this location saw that as an opportunity to take advantage. This 48 hrs reservation was $150 a day.

The key box amazingly had 4 keys which just happened to be the amount of cars I could see parked outside. Maybe they belonged to employees. Either way I dont know how Im foing to get to Oakland and I have pre paid hotel room for two day. Im screwed!

Comment: Was sent here yesterday by the other Enterprise Location Auto center drive due to us needing a 10 seat vehicle. Soon as we walked into the location a guy came over, he didnt greet us with a smile. We told him the other location sent us for a 10 seat vehicle. He immediately stated for which day. We said today. He said I cant give you a vehicle today, if u want a vehicle you have to book two weeks in advance. That how we book our vehicles. Wow. Smh we have rented from Enterprise before & knew this is not true. Based on his facial expression we knew this is discrimination against us. We went to Hertz & got the vehicle we needed. We will not be using Enterprise services. Never judge customers based on race. We should file a complaint & seek a Lawyer. The location address is 2834 N Clovis Ave Fresno Ca. Treat all customers equal.

Comment: I wanted to give 3.5 due to the fact that I did NOT receive a full tank of gas and yet, I wasnt going to be reimbursed for returning it with more than the 1/4 of a tank that we received. Also, I wasnt told that the exact time of rental was the exact time I had to have it returned or wed be charged additional fees. The car was wonderful and the people were kind. But, it doesnt outweigh the above. There is a gas station less than 1/4 of a mile...fill up the cars--if youre not staffed enough to do this simple task, then, staff appropriately. You want to charge if its not returned with the 1/2 tank gas. How fair is it to not want to give us a refund for the overage? Upon our next trip to Fresno, well find another rental car company due to above policy.

Comment: Enterprise is the best car rental company around. They have prompt, courteous, helpful staff who go above & beyond to address all your needs. They have a great variety of vehicles so your not stuck with lots of white or gray duplicate vehicles to use during your weekend getaway to the coast, week long trip up& down the Golden State, a day trip to Yosemite, around town while your personal vehicle is being repaired or to attend that special one nite graduation, prom or anniversary. They may cost slightly more than the others but if you ask about a discount, they usually have something that applies. Its also to make reservations online or via the phone. Exotic rentals are also available for a price at certain locations. (usually L.A &SF areas).

Even though my car was reserved for a week, not showing up they gave it to someone else.Luckily someone else came in with a similar car and Enterprise gave me a good deal. Comment: First off, I personally did not rent a car from this location, and this review is for the employee Kevin, in specific. I called to try and track down a receipt that one our employees had lost. We didnt know which employee had made the charge, when they picked up the car, or even when they returned it. All we knew was the charge and the card number. Kevin stayed on the line with me and tried to sleuth through the whole process, first trying everything he knew, and continually escalating the question up the chain - without transferring me so I didnt have to repeat my questions to each new person. As of now, he has asked Enterprise accounting to get involved. When working on a deadline, and under the gun, Kevins courteous and friendly help has been extremely appreciated.

Comment: I recently had to get a rental here after my car accident. I was relieved when my insurance said theyd pay for it seeing as how I dont really have the money to, and Id be fired not going to work. I had the car for 17 days until enterprise called and said my insurance stopped paying for my car 12 days ago and I was responsible for those days. I made a bunch of phone calls but ultimately had to pay 300 dollars for those days.Im leaving 2 stars because the car was nice but enterprise didnt attempt any other communication with me on the day they knew insurance would stop paying. If I knew I wouldve brought the car back immediately. If they didnt to make more money off of me they did a very good job.
