Comment: Excellent service especially from Joseph. Would rent from them again. I also appreciate the clean interior and exterior of the cars.Sometimes they are understaffed and it seems they are always busy with customers, so you might have to wait for service. I think the management should hire more employees, give their employees good compensation, and add more cars to the inventory because they have SO many customers calling in and coming in-person.

Comment: Never never never answer their phone, and they charged me $2,200 for a loaner vehicle that Aaron Ford Escondido said they were covering. This place is terrible. Told me after the fact when I brought it back that since I wasn’t in a Ford product, there’s no coverage even though I made the service appointment on the Aaron Ford Escondido website and selected loaner through Enterprise. What’s scam. $2,200 for a loaner vehicle. Wow

Comment: While the staff at the local San Marcos and Escondido Enterprise location were amazing the Enterprise Central Office/Corporate needs much improvement. I was told there were cars available only to find out when I got to the Enterprise location no cars were available for 5 hours. And, I was told that happens all the time. The Central Office/Corporate does not consider the current inventory, they just book and let the customer suffer the wait. Central Office/Corporate customer service needs improvement.

Comment: I made a reservation to pick up a car Dec 19, at 4:30 p.m. When I show up to pick up the car at the appointed time. Mike, ask for my social security number in order for him to run my credit. The reason for him to run it is because I am using a debit card. When Mike ran my credit with my social security number, he was unable to access my credit. Mike said for me to call Equifax to unblock it or find someone with a credit card that he can rent to me with my debit card. Everything I said to Mike he denied to rent to me with $300. I guess Enterprise rental policy is based on who is standing in front when you show to pick up the car whether to deny you or rent to you.

Comment: Had a wonderful experience. Obviously I was stressed about my car being in the shop for longer then expected. Josh and the manager were very down to earth and welcoming. After finding out I needed a larger vehicle to support my childrens medical needs, they made sure to put me in the right size car and something that was new and safe. They even knocked down the price for me to accommodate my insurance limit. Overall great experience. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. It always helps when you go somewhere and the staff are warm and smiling. 10/10 would use there services again.

Comment: I reserved a car online same day and then took a screenshot of the reservation confirmation. My pickup was 12pm but when I arrived the branch was closed. The confirmation has no indication of the branch hours so I wasted money on a Lyft to and from the location for no reason and not to mention my time. There was another person outside the branch who had the same exact issue. Absolutely horrible experience that they could easily update communications to prevent, if only they cared abut customers.

Comment: Rented a car through enterprise due to an insurance covered accident… they gave me a car that had to towed in a couple days later (engine was overheating). Called in to try and figure out what to do, originally told me I’d have to pay have the car towed in (which I refused to do) and they eventually sent out a tow truck. They had no other comparable cars to give me (due to holiday weekend, which is understandable) so I tried calling back today and have been sitting on hold for 21 minutes and counting. I expect much better customer service and hope they are able to make things right. Stay tuned for an update

Comment: We rented a car for a week while our car had work done and they provided a great rate. We had to exchange the first car due to expired tags and take the second car in to get excess oil drained. The reason for the 5 stars is the customer service. The staff was great along the way. When we returned the car, we explained the situation to Mike, the assistant manager and he made it right! They’re a busy location because they rent for car repair businesses locally so we understand things can happen, but customer service is everything. (Thanks again to Mike!)

Comment: 4.5 starsContext: I have gone at least 5-7 times a year and this is the Enterprise I absolutely love! I only want to go to this specific one. Customer service is outstanding, they are so accommodating and a bonus for me is its super close to where I live.The only reason why it wouldnt be a 5-star is besides this recent time, you are expected to wait a bit. Theyve instilled the Ready Pass recently and I think its supposed to help. I was in and out less than 20 minutes this most recent time.All the other times, when there wasnt a Ready Pass, I would say I would wait an average of about 45-60 minutes. Sometimes it would go longer. Ill be renting in the future and will update this review when that happens. Their lot gets filled a lot too so be careful driving in or getting dropped off.Again, their service reps are really nice so just be patient and they will work with you!

However, I informed her my job is half a mile away, let me park my car and if someone could pick me up from my job parking lot she agreed and said someone would pick me me up in 10-15 minutes. I was waiting for over 50 minutes and still, nobody show up from Enterprise to pick me up. I end up canceling my appointment through Enterprise because I had an appointment in 1.5 hours and still nobody called to check or realized that I was still waiting to get picked up. I would never return to this location, bad customer service, poor service.

Comment: I will not be returning to this location after my most recent experience and I recommend you look elsewhere as well. The service representative noticed a chip and crack underneath the windshield wiper. I did not think to inspect the windshield or under the windshield wiper for chips prior to taking the car off the lot. She showed me a extremely long crack which could not have happened in two days and was charged to my insurance. In the future I will always check the windshield for minor ships and cracks and will not be returning.

Comment: This is was a very unpleasant experience due to lack of proper customer service. I was planning on renting a luxury sedan for my wifes birthday. Lack of keeping the web sites list of available vehicles up to date. We were given an suv which is not what we wanted. My wife picked me up from the airport and we drove right back to enterprise to see if we could switch out vehicle. I ask to speak to manager and was told he was on a call. Ok, no problem I left my info and asked he could call me when able. 72 hrs passed and not a word from that office. I guess I should have expected that. I forgot to mention the vehicle we got had a display saying a service was 46,000 miles over due.

Comment: I rented a suv for my honeymoon. My wife and I were taking a road trip to a beach town. Picked up my rental on a Saturday. They took my credit card, ID, all my information they needed. They call me that following Monday and tell me they messed up and didn’t get my payment card correctly and I needed to go into an enterprise that day to have my card on file. I was no where near an enterprise. So I had to stop my honeymoon and drive 45 minutes away to find the closest enterprise. It was a huge pain to have to stop my vacation/honeymoon because of their mistake. They didn’t even apologize or offer any kind of credit toward this purchase to make things right. I will never do business with this location again. Horrible experience.

Comment: This location is the shadiest place you can ever do business with. after my insurance stopped covering my rental i was paying out off pocket ($300 deposit and would extend every few days by calling and making payment from my card, while confirming each time that i was up to date and would get my deposit back) i turn in the car the day agreed to, to get told my deposit refund was only going to be $244.81 rather than $300 on Saturday 6/4. I called the following Monday 6/6 and spoke with Jeff, the last representative to take my payment before returning the rental, and confirmed I’d be recieving my $55.19 as a separate refund as he accidentally ran my last payment as “an authorization” rather than an actual payment. Jeff told me it would be 3-5 business days before I receive my second part of the refund. Fast forward a week later today, I called in to check on the progress and all of a sudden “everything has cleared and nothing is owed back to me”. When I spoke to the manager Caitlyn she literally told me word for word “Jeff did tell you you were getting a refund but he made a mistake and apologizes” and left it at that, even after admitting they made a mistake on their end but wouldn’t fix it. And a week later?! I asked for confirmation from Jeff 6/6 by email of my refund because I had a feeling something like this would happen and guess what? no receipt. No one would have even reached out to me had i not called in. No one there knows what they’re doing as every time you speak to someone different, you get told something different. If you have a chance, go with ANY other rental company, or at least ANNNYY other location. They will scam you out of money and not be able to explain how, only “they make a mistake and apologize” lol.

Comment: This review is more focused on Enterprise as a company and not the local office. I reserved a full size SUV a month ago for a two week trip. We are going to visit friends out of state that live down a long dirt road and we were planning on picking up some home items while we were there. I wanted the full size SUV for both its ground clearance and space. I arrived at the Auto Parkway office at 10:30am to find no vehicle matching what I reserved. I was also told that I was a bit early for my pick up time which was listed as noon. The office hours on Saturday are 9am to noon so I was a bit confused by the pick up time coinciding with closing. I was told to call back in an hour and maybe the vehicle might be there. Maybe? Why did I make a reservation? What is the point of planning ahead and then getting treated like a walk-in off the street? Bottom line is I drove a round trip of 25 miles to find my reservation was worthless. I went home and promptly cancelled this particular reservation and also another coming up for June. I was never told or notified that my vehicle may not be available. They had mini-van and a small SUV on the lot, neither of which satisfied what I needed. I was able to get a vehicle through another company with no prior notice and will no longer do business with Enterprise. Good luck to anyone that reserves a vehicle here and expects to find what they need.

Comment: A very good and honest professional team. I was in and out of there in less than 10 mins with an appointment. They were great with answering all my questions and clarifying any concerns. My only issues I had were that they didnt have any sedans in their inventory, BUT had great alternatives to help substitute my original choice. Second the location itself doesnt have enough or any parking at all. I HIGHLY recommend that folks be dropped off by someone they know or using LYFT/UBER. Aside from that really is a place ill come back to if I ever need a rental.

When I arrived I was put into a completely different vehicle. When I asked about my request, the response was low inventory. Yet they did have 2 of the cars I was requesting on the lot. I did return my car one day early. I never received a phone call in regards to prorating my invoice. I had to call a week later too ok follow up.

Then when we got back I dropped off the vehicle at a different location which they told me would be fine when I picked it up then they were giving me trouble because they were having a hard time confirming that the car was dropped off, and they charged me an extra $113 for no reason!I have been trying to call them (at their Escondido location) for the last two days and apparently no one works there anymore because the phone just rings for 5 minutes straight and I called waiting through each 5min dial with no luck. I finally called the Murrieta location where I dropped the car off and they picked up automatically but they said they couldnt help me! This has been the worst experience I have ever had renting a car! I dont recommend them to ANYONE!!

All they come back and say is “well according to the contract you are responsible for all ticket ms”. This is true and I am not disputing that. I rented a Jeep Wrangler and with in two hours of me renting the car, the car started violently shaking and losing power on the middle of the highway. I barely made it to the side of the road. That couldve ended much much worse.The best part: I called their roadside assistance and said that I would have to pay for the towing service even though there was a mechanical fault in the car and not something that I did. I hung up and called my auto insurance. Never again with enterprise. The car was great for its purpose, but when picked it up and drove home, my wife noticed it had not been cleaned inside. Sand everywhere and best of all, a half eaten hamburger stuffed into one of the back seat pockets. In the covid era you would think those with the job of cleaning a car would be a little more diligent. My wife called prior to our departure and we WERE given two days off the rental in concession, which was nice. I updated from 1 to 3 stars because I did have to work harder than I should have to get it resolved, but when I finally got in touch with Kristen Mims, the area manager, she immediately took care of it and honored the price that I had been quoted on the phone. I did have to make several phone calls and send a few e-mails and be assertive about things to make it happen, but it did, and Im pleased! My previous 2 review are below separated by asterixes. Gratefully, things improved for me.***To add to my previous review (what follows in brackets), as you can see, my review got an immediate response, to which I immediately responded, but my issue still hasnt been resolved and its been 2 weeks since we rented the car. I also called the customer service line and was told someone would be calling me to resolve the issue, but nobody ended up calling me. This tells me that the customer service challenges may be more systemic that I was originally thinking.***[I called Enterprise Rent-A-Car and was quoted a rate for my weekly rental that was supposed to be the rate negotiated with my insurance company. Then, when my husband went to pick up the car, he was quoted a much higher rate. Enterprise did not honor the rate that one of their representatives quoted to me. Not only that, but the person handling the rental, Christopher, was very rude in how he handled things with my husband. He allowed the car that had been reserved for us to go to another client. Then, he told my husband that they would immediately clean another car that we could use, but he allowed another car to be washed instead for another client. We were finally able to negotiate a rate that was better than what he was telling my husband (after much insistence on my part) but still didnt match the rate we were quoted on the phone. Also, when I was talking to him on the phone about the situation, he put down the phone without any explanation and failed to respond to my request (he had been talking through my husbands phone and after he essentially ignored me without any explanation, I insisted that I still talk to him). He absolutely insisted the system did not allow him to lower the rate. However, once I pointed out that another location had a lower rate quoted through travelocity, he immediately was able to lower it to match that rate. Then, when it came time to rent the car, Christopher turned the rental over to another individual, who then proceeded to quote the higher rate. As far as we can tell, this was an effort to pull a fast one and try to still rent it to us at a higher rate. My husband described Christopher as young and cocky. Clearly, Enterprise, or at least Christopher, doesnt value proper customer service and is willing to lie and evade rather than properly resolve issues.]

We decided long ago that it made more sense not to tow a car on our trips, because it costs us less than converting a car to be suitable for towing. We can reserve online before we get to our destination and call Enterprise so they can pick us up for contract signing and car pickup. Estimated repair completion dates were exceeded, resulting in rental term extensions and subsequent 2 calls from Enterprise to me, demanding I take action to extend the term or fall victim to costs I would bear. This was wholly inappropriate since I was party to details of changing dates only so far as to keep me casually informed and as required to ultimately return the rental once repairs were complete. When I reiterated that the insurance company and shop are the parties to coordinate with, I was told they were having a hard time getting in touch with either. Really? They are fast, very helpful, great customer service you can tell they care about the satisfaction of the customers ive been to a few locations where the customer service was terrible some of the staff seemed rude. but this location is A+ with everything! the manager Rahmahn is a great one and when you have a manager like him sets the tone of the place. im local to this location and this is the only one im renting from and sticking to. no complaints!

Ive been upgraded when in a rush so as not to wait for smaller car to get prepped.One agent, who was very chatty at my first rental, didnt recognize me at 2nd rental a week later, and then commented negatively on my not being as chirpy as the first time. Sorry, dude, sometimes I just need to get going, and your not remembering me at first proves all the charm is facade. THOUGH - everyone has different styles of customer service that they like. I reserved the car in advance and when I arrived the next day to pick up, the Escondido office was out of cars (10am)?I along with 2 others were given the option to wait for cars en route from LAX or go to the Washington branch to pick up there. All 3 of us were assured that the cars we reserved were present at the Washington branch. They did have the cars for the other 2 people, but when it was my turn, no full-size car for me.They first offered me a VW bug, which would have worked except Im 61 and a lean 240 lbs, so I couldnt fit even if I wanted to. So, they offered a civic...getting closer, then finally, a jeep compass.For my inconvenience, Gabriel Lechuga, the service rep (Escondido branch) offer to waive the fuel charge (return the gas on empty). Great, right? wrong. When I got the compass, the tank was almost empty.In the end, when I returned the car with a gallon more than I received it, both Gabriel and Kara Grizopoulos (Escondido branch manager) went out of their way to restore me by giving me a free day on my next rental. Thank you Gabe and Kara!!!

Comment: The negative reviews are a little surprising. Maybe Ive been luckier than some. This is not my first or last time at this location, Auto Parkway in Escondido. The staff has always been stellar and I must have been hitting it at the right times because Ive never been 7 deep in line.This time I needed to rent a full size pickup and it was dirty. They should have been embarrassed to even have this on the lot looking like that. There was grime all over the outside and tons of bugs pasted to the front. The windows were the worst part. Here I am driving a strange vehicle late at night and I have hazy glazed glass glaring at me. Not a safe or pleasant experience. I made this reservation well in advance, they have no excuse for not being prepared. This review lost one star because of that.

Even though their waiting room was full and 4 people were standing in line before I walked in, I waited less than 10 minutes. Everyone is super nice and genuine. None of those looks like ughhhh is it ever going to slow down... highly recommend this location. If youre using an atm card, be prepared to show a recent bill with your home address on it. I had to step off to the side and look for a bill in my emails.

This time however, was quite a different story. I reserved a vehicle days in advance for a specific pick-up time. I never require Enterprise to pick-me-up or drop-me-off, so I dont burden the team accordingly. I arrived at the rental location 5 minutes before my reserved pick-up time. There are absolutely NO cars in the lot. None. So I say, where is the full-size vehicle I reserved. The answer was inappropriate at best, i.e. well, we have simply been very busy and no one else in town has cars available either. WHAT? I dont really care. That is NOT my problem. I reserved a car. You told me I would have a car. Upon arrival you had no cars. So, I had to wait. My time is far more valuable than that of the Enterprise team. DONT MAKE ME WAIT UNTIL YOU CAN FIND A CAR. Well, there was a vehicle in the back-lot that was apparently promised to another renter. It was an SUV. Although I rented a full-size car, the agent decided to rent to me the SUV for the same money. It was a Nissan Rogue. I had my doubts about whether this was truly equal to a full-size car, and my fears were realized while driving the vehicle over 15 hours and over 820 miles. It was a lousy ride, heavy road noise, so much so you could not hear the radio, and the vehicle had to be the bottom of the barrel relative to amenities. it was so basic, I was surprised it even had power windows. So, bottom line, this rental experience WAS NOT pleasant. I am deeply disappointed in the service provided by Enterprise. IF I give this site another chance, the experience had better blow me away, otherwise, Im moving on to other rental agencies. Take heed Enterprise. You need to step-up your customer service game.

Comment: Amazing place to rent car. The service there will make you feel well taken care of. I got in a car accident and the other guy had his insurance pay for my rental. I rented a ford f150 at first and put over 3000 miles on it driving to Tahoe and Modesto. I came back and wanted something smaller so my wife would be more comfortable driving it rather than a truck. So i called and talked to julian and he gave me a choice of a bmw 328i or a 2015 Ford Mustang. It was so simple. Just a drop off and pick up kind of deal. No questions asked. I will always rent from this location.

Comment: I rent a lot of cars, this location is horrible.First of all, there was 1/4 tank of gas when they gave me the car. I really hope they didnt charge the last person the inflated fill it back up fee!! The car a Ford Focus, appeared okay. Once I started driving the car, the transmission slipped horribly and had a very rough drive. I tried to return the car, and advise the car was still under warranty and they should take it in, they said they would tow for free if it broke down but they did not have another car at the time. I asked about the Chevy comparable model on the lot and was told, that is reserved for our GM dealership rentals. I asked if anyone currently had it reserved and was told no, but they had to keep it available.2 times in the week I had the car I stopped by the location due to the rough ride and slipping transmission, but was not willing to wait in the 5 and then 7 person line to be able to speak with someone.The day I returned the car I arrived and no lot attendant to check the car in. I was told by another customer that I had to go inside. I walked inside to drop the keys and they refused to take the keys, stating that there was 1 line for all needs and I would need to get in line. After about 40 minute wait, I finally was able to return the car. I told the desk clerk and the girl next to him (I assumed was a supervisor based on her requests to other employees) about the transmission and she told me, Oh yes that is not a great car, but it is normal for the Ford Focus to drive like that; why the heck are you renting this out then?!?!Anyhow, I got out of there and vowed NEVER to return.I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!!!

The local management needs to make sure they implement corporate standards pertaining cleanness and presentation of the cars.The Last couple of times that I rented from this location cars were dirty and not detailed. Tires and rims dirty, and overall inside and out not neat. Renting clean and detailed cars should be a must for any formal rental company.I observed enterprise rental personnel spray washing the cars, no wiping. They should have dedicated employees to ensure that customers take cars in good appearance.

I accidentally reserved a minivan from the San marcos location and showed up at the Escondido location instead. The manager at Escondido enterprise was awesome, instead of making me and the wife drive back to San marcos he made a minivan avaliable to us at the rate. I then returned it after the mini vacation and Ivory and Dave took really good care of me. Highly recommend Enterprise rent a car.
