If youre a new customer they have every car you want, small, midsized, large suv...if you have something checked out already and want to trade in they have nothing for you as its all reserve. If you have a small car its easier to upgrade, but if you have a large suv they conveniently have nothing smaller for you because they want you to keep the more expensive car.

Comment: Worst car rental experience I’ve ever had. My reservation got cancelled ( not by me) a day prior to my pickup date for a 10 day rental. I had to go down there after the MANAGER didn’t sound too confident that my reservation was fine and everything was a go for the next day. Thank God I called to ensure everything was good. They rented me a lemon when my reservation asked for a hybrid. The reservation was placed MONTHS PRIOR. The van had Utah plates, the drivers arm rest was broken ( didn’t notice that until I was well into my trip) the GPS unit needed to be updated so it didn’t work right, the display in the van needed to be updated so it kept going black and we would have to stop the van, turn it off and then back on again, and they suggested that I find a local Enterprise in the state I was in ( 2 states away from Ca) to see if they had a van I could swap? If you knew this van needed to be swapped out, you shouldn’t have rented it to me or anyone else. I responded to the enterprise text service about the GPS and the screen and the arm rest which caused my shoulder to be miss aligned and uncomfortable the entire time driving. Their resolution to all of this, NOTHING. They are still trying to charge me for the GPS. This is what I get for being a loyal customer for decades? I’m still in dispute over the charges. This is the Stockton Auto Center Drive location. I’m going to leave a Yelp and Twitter review as well. This is terrible customer service and I blame the manager. The lady who assisted me at the counter was very sweet and kind. I hope this doesn’t reflect bad on her. But the manager should have addressed this experience properly. Don’t let them treat you like they did me. This is terrible business. Point. Blank. Period. STILL trying to charge me for everything was an additional slap in the face. If negative stars were an option, I’d give it that.

Comment: Been going to Enterprise for well over 20 years. It seems to me that their customer service has taken a stumble. Hopefully they learn how to get back on their feet. Never knew that their protocol was to withdraw such a high amount from a debit card which to me seems pointless. When I suggested that she tell corporate that that protocol was not posted on their website to help customers she told me that she was just a small one on the totem pole and would never make suggestions to improve a customers experience to me that seemed completely odd

The second car had drive assist, but they didn’t inform us, nor tell us how to disable it. The car tried to steer us into traffic at construction areas to stay within the lines. Although customer service is friendly they are misleading.

Comment: I typically never write negative reviews but the experience that I had with Enterprise located in 3003 auto center circle in Stockton California was an experience that I hope no one has to go through again. Me and my wife talked to Taylor the front end associate and communicated that we had rented a full size vehicle because we have two toddlers and luggage. but was given a small vehicle instead. (A mini cooper.) Taylor said yes we have another vehicle for you just return the one you currently have. So we did. After waiting for almost 3 hours. I asked Taylor about the vehicle ?. He said we don’t have one right now. So I asked for the manager on duty Steven Aldava the branch manager came. He said to me that they were cleaning the vehicle. I asked what type of vehicle ?. He said one slightly smaller than the mini cooper you just returned. I don’t understand how they misunderstood me and my wife request for a larger vehicle not a smaller one. But the manager refused to help us and said that he didn’t want to help us anymore because we didn’t have a reservation. We had called customer service previously and made the reservation before we showed up. I currently been working in customer service for 20 years and never seen so much unprofessionalism poor customer service and No respect for their customers. I asked for the corporate number and Steven gave me the wrong number. So I asked him for the corporate number again and he pretended that he had made a mistake. While I stepped outside to call corporate Steven told my wife that we can leave because he is not going to help us. After they refused to help me I drove to the other location in 320 N Hunter St in Stockton California. Front end associate Eric and the manager provided me with all the help and solutions I needed. Like two angels they helped me and my wife with a large sedan vehicle. I review them 5 STARS. And thank you so much for your help. Eric and site management in Hunter st location. Thank you 🙏🏻. From me and my family we appreciate you.That’s Steven business card giving me the wrong number for corporate.

Comment: I normally have a great rental experience but unfortunately 1) the vehicle I first was given was like riding in a tin can so I asked for another car to feel safe in my travels -- after I left Enterprise and drove off, I immediately returned. I went back to the counter and was accommodated by the asst. mgr. He found the second car which I felt would satisfy my safety.The problem occurred when I was inadvertently billed two extra days and I then reached out to talk to the asst. mgr. a few days later (I had left two messages and he had not returned my call). Once I spoke to him he confirmed it was incorrect and he would immediately correct my billing -- I then sent him a confirming email after I spoke to him. Now its 13-days later and no response, and no credit to my billing.To add more fuel to fire, I mentioned to this asst. mgr. that I was I was verbally confronted by another guest when I went to pick up The rental for parking in the handicap spot (the woman shouted at me and waved her cane stating I had no right parking there, as I did not look like I was handicap)- I was standing with a new employee, Marcus. The asst. mgr. stated employees are trained not to intervene. I said it was such a random experience and made me disappointed.The asst. mgr. was very polite but unfortunately when he said call me if you need anything and I did that, I received no response.Thank you.

The customer service rep named Will was friendly and professional. Besides handling the e-paperwork, he also made sure that I was comfortable with the unfamiliar keyless-start system. The car ran great, as well. I highly recommend this location!

Comment: Very happy with my rental experience!!From start to finish, the process was easy and well handled. I made my reservation well in advance, through the mobile app.. only because I had a negative experience in the past. I called about 3 days ahead of my pick up date to confirm my reservation. The agent on the phone confirmed and even checked to make sure the location had the car class that I requested. Once arriving to pick up my rental, there was a small line, but moved quickly. Will did my check-in and was very friendly and helpful. We walked around the car before signing my agreement, and he said to give him a call if I needed any help. Checking the car back in was a breeze and Molina (hope I remembered her name correctly) was super nice and actually cared about what I was talking about, which made the experience more personable.The only bad part of this rental experience was having to give the vehicle back LOL.. 2021 GMC Yukon is A+++++

The insurance I got was specifically for damage to the rental. Enterprise still charged me a $500 deductible. Not to mention I still have yet to receive the final paperwork from returning the rental.

My rental was an insurance-based rental because my vehicle was in an accident so I had no choice but to use them they never have rentals close in price to what insurance companies pay in your honor and I have very good insurance with a decent daily rental rate. I just wish my insurance would contract with someone other than Enterprise. No matter what the issue is. There is no excuse to be rude. I recommend Hertz or Budget if you need to rent a car in Stockton, CA! REAL TALK! If you follow my reviews, I very seldom give a bad or negative review, but Enterprise deserved this ONE!!!! DEFINITELY!!¡!!

Comment: It was horrible and the worst enterprise experience I ever had! To begin with I waited over an hour for my rental only to be given a car that was smaller than what I payed for. The Manager was very rude & unprofessional and after returning the car I was told hours later I had damaged the vehicle and needed to pay a deductible, a few hours after that I was told it wasn’t damaged but had a strong odor of a strawberry fragrance so u would be charged $100 for cleaning

They close at 5 and expect you there before 4:30 to return it, not caring if you have work. We JUST found out we are getting back our car today and enterprise expects us to return the car tomorrow before 4:30 as if we dont have jobs to be at. Comment: Had to wait 45 minutes even though I had an appointment. Had to wait for vehicle to be cleaned. Vehicle was almost on empty and representative said to just bring it back almost on empty. I said hell no you guys need to put some gas in there. How am I suppose to bring back a vehicle on empty?? The representative had one of the drivers follow me to a gas station where he filled it 3/4 full. I remember Enterprise being a lot better than this. Don’t know what happened but they really need to improve.

Comment: Made an appointment pick up time of 1:30pm via my Enterprise app. I got there at 12:50pm. I did not get out of there, with a car, until 2:40pm. Absolutely ridiculous. They give all kinds of excuses, non of which are my fault nor do they remedy the situation. There was many people there sitting and waiting. Some people arrived after me, yet got there vehicle before me and I had an appointment. Terrible experience and made me late to the event that I rented the car for in the first place. The only reason I rented a car is because my car will not carry 5 people and their hockey equipment and hockey sticks. I would give this situation a zero star rating, but Google will not allow it, so they get 1 star.

Comment: First car they gave me the window whistled and the radio would randomly shut off and the panel on the drivers window were glued back on and they had no knowledge of it and as the weather got hotter that glue began melting and I didn’t want to be responsible if the panel came off so I went to swap it out and they tried telling me I had to wait until a different day and after about 15-20 minutes of debate I guess a manager maybe came out looked at the car said the glue was old longer than I’ve had the car so they reluctantly swapped me out and before I noticed the trim falling off I had just put like 35 bucks in the gas tank so the tank was fuller than it was when I got the car now when it came time to return the other car I was broke and was only able to get the car to a half when it was 3 quarters and they told me that since I overfilled the first car that wasn’t gonna be a problem and when my deposit came back it was missing 20 bucks

They were supposed to give me my $50 back into my bank account and never did. I looked on my account and it does not say no Refund from enterprise they kept my money. Returned the car on a monday morning at 7am; called Wednesday to request a receipt as i hadnt seen one. See my card was charged way more than it should have been. I needed the car until Sunday, the lady that helped me said that if I bring it by 7 am on Monday I wouldn’t be charged for an extra day. I brought the car back Sunday evening around 6, then the next day I received an invoice saying I returned it at 7:16 am Monday (the surveillance cámaras will show it was not) I called the location the next day to get the situation fixed. The person that picked up the phone was clearly confused because she called me by some other name. I explained the situation to her explained the lack of training given to employees and the lady proceeded to question me with a condescending tone, when the surveillance cámaras can attest to what I was saying. I did not appreciate the attitude, I swear these employees act like they own the company, then the lady apologized with the same attitude, she can keep her apology, we pay these peoples salaries with our business and they have the nerve to act that way.I encourage people to look elsewhere for rental’s they will rob you of your hard earned money. I was not happy with the condition of the car at all! There were lots of scratches, dings and dents all over the car. When I asked for another car there was none available. The ugly condition of this car really put a damper on my trip. I was given a discount on my rental but that really didn’t make up for the poor condition of that car.The staff was very friendly. The young lady that handled the transaction was very sweet. The shuttle driver was a real gentleman. I believe that his name was Clay. . He was very personable, as well as, a good, safety conscience driver. He is really a “feather in the cap” of this establishment. Comment: I rented a 12 passanger van to use to drive to my brothers funeral. A few days in advance of the trip a get a message saying we are out of 12 passanger vans they dont know why their staff made my reservation (not my problem you should still honor my reservation). So i called back to figure out whats going on and another young lady actually did a really nice thing which is why the 3 stars and at least figured it out and upgraded me to a 15 passanger van. I arrive the day of the reservation and the lady was nice but told me have it back between 11 and 12 on the return date since i had waited there for a while and was only able to leave more closer to 12. Well once getting everyone in to drive to the funeral we all noticed the van was super dirty and had not been cleaned on the inside and with covid thats a concern. But the biggest issue is the day i returned it and i was almost 2 hours passed 12 so i know i would get charged the 2 hours. But the i was told to return between 11 and 12pm. I arrived at 1:55 but since the guy had to go in and get a computer he didnt start the return until 2:05 trying to charge a whole day as for him he said it needed to be back by 11:15. I did ask him to fix it as the girl did tell me between 11 and 12. So i just strongly feel that this experience is the first time i have had an issue with enterprise but there were so many issues with this one reservation that i feel their costomer service is starting to decline. I have rented for years and never had an issue or a dirty car or someone saying they can no longer honor their reservation. So hopefully they do better in the future.

However last year we went on a trip to San Diego in March and upon returning our BRAKES began to KNOCK and ROCK the van while driving down the big hill from Socal into NorCal (several miles down). From the day that I called to make a reservation, I recognized that I like their telephone reservation system better than the other car rental companies. With Enterprise you dont have to wade through multiple menus and messages. Instead, you are connected quickly with a reservation agent. He ask my name, I told him I missed a reservation, Customer Service went in side came out. Said come here walked me over to a car (a Malibu to be exact). Their customer service is the worst and they seem to think they can push frivolous charges on customers. I wont fall for their tactics. Comment: I highly recommend you do not use this company. They have no value for loyal customers or a desire to keep your business. Their rental requirements are outrageous and unrealistic. They will not accept cash or let you use a debit card. Hertz is a much better choice for your car rental needs. Avoid enterprise at all cost or suffer dissatisfaction. I was a customer for over eight years and now just because I moved into a senior apt. complex I no longer qualify to rent from them. Good riddance to them.

Arrived in California on vacation I expecting to pick up my car and was told “I’m sorry, we sold out.” No courtesy call no nothing just told there was a “glitch” in their system and that I could pick up my car tomorrow. I contacted corporate office to complain but the representative transferred be to the grievance line overseas and the at rep rushed me off the phone. Comment: My husband and I made reservations to pick up our vehicle at 6pm. We input all the information for easier check in upon arrival. We arrived at 6:00pm and as we were walking to the entrance a lady came out from behind the desk and approached the door. I thought she was going to greet us but instead she went to lock the door! We went around and told one of the employees we were there to pick up our car. She said they closed at 6pm. I informed her that I had an email that clearly stated that our appointment was at 6pm. She then said she would go inside to ask if it was possible to assist us. A lady walked out who was the one that had locked the door on us and said they were closed and their systems were now off. I showed her my email confirmation that stated 6pm she then said yes but its 6:03 and we are closed. We were in shock of the poor customer service this place provided. She then said we could come back tomorrow but I informed her that we were leaving that night. She said sorry and that was all! So upsetting why would this place provide a time and not be able to assist. Never again will I rent from this place. Comment: Entreprise are ridiculous with these 19 dollars an hour after the time that it’s due. I will never rent from them ever again. If I get a rental by close of business on a Saturday then it should be due by close of business on a week day. So if they close at 4 Saturday I have to have it back by 4 on Monday. It should be by 6. Or keep your hours the same 7 days a week.

I come in, they take the van out back and say oh the hood has a dent that only a trained eye could see and that I should have told them it was there before I took out the van. 1st of all I am not trained in the art of rental car Dents. 🤦🏽‍♀️ So now they want me to pay for Dents that I did not do. Comment: The rental process was so much easier and faster with their new handheld devices and no contracts to lose. Also was pleased that they were able to find me the vehicle I needed for business purposes as i needed an XL SUV. However, the only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the windows were left very dirty from the inside. this is a safety hazard especially when you find out about it the hard way when you are driving at night. If you can just please make sure windows are thoroughly clean you will have my 5 plus stars! Keep up the good work!

I rent quite often, the first time when all my information needed to be verified the wait was a little longer however they were able to get what they needed and get me on my way. I needed to extend my rental and that was effortless as well. I have yet to try the “pick me up” option, I am curious to see how that works.

Friendly & professional people.Let me start by saying I showed and my reservation was with a completely different location and for some reason the website let me reserve pickup time as the time they close up shop. I arrived (to the wrong location and a few minutes late) and the nice man let me in still and helped me out. He found my reservation and let me know I was at the wrong location, but that it was no problem and hed make sure I was taken care of. The whole process was easy and nice. They were officially closed, but while I was being helped, another customer doing a drop off was late to return and they let him in and took care of him as well. They were out of the car I reserved so they upgraded me at no extra cost! When I came to drop off my car I was greeted by another nice guy and it was another easy process.The folks at Enterprise at the Stockton Auto Mall location are the best! I will definately be taking all my rental car business there from now on. :)

Comment: I am never ever going back to rent car at this location.Customer Service: 0/5Manager will be there, but doesnt care about customers. and will be wandering around as if King is patrolling its empire.This location was good when Robert was the Manager, but no longer.An Experience with some useful moral:Renting at Enterprise, Stockton Auto Mall was the worst nightmare that i ever had. I rented a car with them. I kept the car garaged while i was having it, and nobody even touched it and i didnt leave the car unattended anywhere else. I am habitual of taking care of things regardless of whose things those are. When i went to return the car, the enterprise representative came out and took a round around the car to examine it to see if the car was in good shape. He was behaving as if he was doing an investigation about a very high profile case. Then, he pointed out a spot which was 100% smooth without anything wrong to it, and started telling me, there is a dent here, which i obviously was not able to see since it was not there, and he obviously was making a false claim with which i completely disagreed. I dont know what his intention was, or what he was trying to prove to me, but i explained to him very clearly that nothing is wrong, and i also explained him that car was parked in my garage throughout rental period, but he simply ignored that, and blamed me. Luckily, i had the insurance so i was on the safe side, and there was no way that they were able to hurt me due to the insurance that i bought, but still it did give me enough trouble, and i decided the same moment i am not going to ever come back to rent at this place again.Moral:Whenever you go to rent a car, make sure to consider your safety first, and then anything else. My confidence level at renting a car was badly hurted, and since this event my trust level is 0. Stay Safe & and Drive Safe.

Comment: We signed up through Costco to use Enterprise which is such a great deal!When we got to the desk the morning of our trip, we were told unlimited miles only applies to neighboring states. WE WERE TRAVELING TO OKLAHOMA! . . . for our daughters graduation. I was shocked! However, the manager took care of us and charged us $15.00 a day instead of 25 cents a mile. Comment: Rented a standard vehicle for spring break. We were pleasantly surprised how quick the process was to pick up the behicle but more than that was the vehicle we received. Chrysler 200 was our assigned car. A basic vehicle with great gas mileage, very comfortable and enjoyed driving.Dropping the vehicle off was very slow. Only two staff working on a Saturday made for a long line of people waiting. Having more staff on a drop off weekend would have made the process easier. Additionally the clerk at the counter indicated she had to look up paperwork prior to accepting the car. In a world of technology why would she need to do this? Fortunately I had my paperwork which saved her a few minutes. Strongly suggest that counter be staffed with at least three to four clerks on a Saturday.

Almost 2 hour later, I called back and he basically forgot to call me back and said he had no cars left.I told him I NEEDED to pick up my diabetic medication because I just moved from Florida.
