Comment: Excellent service, at the rental, the employee delivered the car to us and helped us set up Apple Car Play, and replaced the original Mazda, which did not support Car Play, with a Toyota that did. He went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable with the rental. Very much appreciated.

Comment: This was one of the best car rental experiences we’ve ever had. They got us to our car quickly, walked around to account for any existing damage, and were all around just really kind and lovely. We were traveling with a baby, and when we brought the car back, they offered to drop us off at the airport instead of making us take the shuttle. It was so thoughtful and appreciated. Not having to move the car seat and the baby made things a lot simpler. Would definitely rent from these guys again. Thanks for such a great experience!

Comment: Computers were down and it took over 45 minutes to get the rental. They claim it took a bit longer because the car had to be cleaned. I made the reservation weeks ahead of time and it wasnt ready. I ordered a GPS and was charged for the device and it wasnt in the vehicle. I sent an email requesting a refund on the GPS and no response. The SUV transmission made a noise the entire week.

Comment: I had a rental and arrived one day early. I asked if I could pick it up a day early and pay whatever for the extra day. The lady went and spoke to someone and came back and said no. They just didn’t want to do the extra work of changing the reservation. I stepped out of line and went online and it right away let me change the reservation. I went back to the counter and told her I had a confirmation number for the updated dates and she just said ok. Terrible customer service.

Comment: While Ive been using Enterprise exclusively for years, the worst thing about renting from them, or any car rental company, is having to wait for a shuttle to take you to somewhere other than the airport to then pick up your car. This also requires additional time dropping off and waiting for the shuttle while hoping its running on time. Still, I was able to walk right up to the Enterprise desk, I was helped right away, and gotten on our way in a very efficient manner. The Budget Car Rental line beside the Enterprise line stretched clear back out the door. So, thank you Enterprise, you will continue to be my go to car rental company.

Comment: I will not rent a rental car from Enterprise ever again! They are not honest about their pricing. When I reserved our rental car online many many months before our vacation. I checked all the boxes for insurance on our rental vehicle. Was given the price, which included insurance. We fly all the way from Oklahoma to California. Go to pickup the rental, they say a total different amount than what I was given during reservation. Over $280 more than what we told. They didnt care and wouldnt listen to anything we had to say. Either pay it or have no vehicle. Only 1, 884 miles away from home, we would be stranded with no vehicle.

Comment: I always have a positive experience with enterprise at the Sacramento airport. Always. My last experience was above and beyond. From the time I was checked in, did my walk around upon receiving my rental, and the return. It was so painless and in fact, enjoyable. Every person I spoke with really went above and beyond ensuring my comfort and happiness with the vehicle. I rented a 2024 wagoneer. It was immaculate and performed flawlessly. I can’t say enough about this location and how pleasant my entire experience was.

Comment: The counter was understaffed. I had done everything via email that I was supposed to do but had to do it all over again when picking up the car. Why did I waste the time if they are going to have me do it all over again?The car was beat up with lots of dents and scrapes. It smelled terrible and wasnt very clean.The Toyota Camry I rented was absolutely gutless. I dont know if that is normal for the 2023 or of it was a lack of maintenance.Probably will use a different company next time.

Comment: Vehicle was good, ease of drop-off was fine, pickup was slow: it took 40 minutes to get on the road, 30 minutes before we walked to the car, all because the front desk couldnt get a hold of your porters from across the lot to bring up the van. Then once they finally made contact, someone came up with a bunch of keeps and offered be other vehicle options other than the van I reserved. Finally after a few minutes the person says: wait, I have a van with a surprise look on her face.

Comment: My flight was delayed and I was now scheduled to arrive a Sacramento airport at 00.15 instead of 21.30. While waiting for the late plane I called the 1-800 number who told me the depot closes at 00.30. I asked if there was a way to get me access to the car, I was told that after 00.30 there was no way. After three separate calls to get someone who could speak proper English, one of them gave me a way to call the local office (press 1 then 5). I called 22 times (no exaggeration), the message said everyone was busy and then you had to listen to annoying sales pitches saying how wonderful Enterprise is and how you value your clients. At least 8 times each call before it suddenly announcing….good bye! It was stressful knowing that we would potentially arrive to no car and we had no accommodation other than our original hotel booked 1.5 hours away. I ran to the shuttle bus (public, multi agency) and waited what seemed like forever. I finally got to the car rental place at 00.35 expecting a big problem. I found a National rep who calmly gave me the keys and all was good…..except for the unnecessary stress in between, having left my disabled wife to collect our bags while I ran to get the rental car. Alls’s well that ends well, but the fact I was given bad advice from the foreign helpline to the local depot not answering the phone made it intolerable. The shame of it is the personnel I encountered at the depot were very good and I got a literally brand new car….I guess this is what happens when you entrust your brand with an outsourced, offshore service and understaff local offices to the point they cannot answer phone calls.

Comment: I did the you click we pick option and they offered us 2 different trucks but as we were driving 2 hrs we would have liked something with better gas mileage. They then were able to get us a mid size suv after we discussed our concerns. I accidentally left my iPad in the suv and Monique offered to come bring it to me, but I was already past security and asked if it could be shipped. They shipped it the same day and I received it 2 days later! They went above and beyond to help!! Thanks so much, will definitely be using this location again in the future!

Comment: If this was just for customer service, I would give them 5 stars. However, I disliked the car itself. It was a larger VW. It had lots of room but driving it was a chore and had no pep. Could someone tell car companies that putting lots of chrome around the drivers seat creates LOTS of glare! I ended up covering it with a sweater. Then there arent a lot of clues to where the A/C and fans are. I found them but not easily. The booklet of instructions werent in the glove box but we found it in back half-way through our trip.Maybe Enterprise can do up relevant instructions on a one page sheet to go with each car. Part of the problem was that we dont usually drive VWs.

Comment: This was the slowest Enterprise location that I’ve ever been to and surprisingly for it to be connected to an airport. My flight arrived at 10:45 pm and I was not able to drive away with a rental until well after midnight- this was even with completing online check-in and entering payment information in advance. I would suggest that they study the efficiency of other major airport rentals and make some changes. To have a line of people and one person showing them to the car leads to pileups and extended waits. There’s definitely a better way (ie ATL enterprise location is fast and efficient every single time due to proper processes). Once I got my vehicle I had no concerns and drop off was smooth, I just wish pickup was just as expedient and I didn’t have to wait 1.5 hours unnecessarily.

Super friendly, accomadating, knowledgeable, and a great selection of cars to fit any budget. I have to also give a shout out to Assan at the SMF Enterprise. The Audi A5 was exactly as advertised, and then some. Will definitely be renting a similar model again.

Comment: Even though they were pretty busy, the wait time was short when picking up the vehicle, check in was a breeze. But the only thing I will say is the young lady that brought me my keys rubbed me the wrong way with one sentence... well, youre the one that booked it, when I kind of paused when she told me what car they were giving me. I think she thought I was going to make a fuss, but it was just that I was not familiar with that make/model so it was just a quick ok will that be big enough type thought in my head. All was good when we walked outside and I saw the vehicle. It was very nice, well maintained and got great gas mileage! The return process was super easy and the young man that checked it in was really friendly.

Comment: I had a quote for a reservation at (SMF Sacramento Airport Enterprise location)for a full size car Malibu or equivalent. The quote was for 312 +Sat radio 25 for the week. The reservation was made 2 months in advance. The only vehicle available was (free upgrade) a beast that seats 8 a Ford Expedition. It had just over 1/2 tank of gas. It was a nice clean vehicle, staff were friendly yet the transaction was very quick done on a tablet outside and you don’t really see everything on the agreement. However I had rented a vehicle a couple of months prior not from airport but from Northgate location and the end price matched the quote within 10% after tax and fees were added.My final bill came to $604. There is an $88 fuel charge at $7.95 a gal with local prices @ 4.89 even though it was returned with the same fuel level as when I got it. The rest of the charges were a litany of fees that would put Verizon to shame. I am about to go Postal on the customer service person but I thought it best to vent here first. At no time were the fees identified in the reservation process. Take the Uber to Northgate location the gal that runs it is sharp and there are no OMG fees of >$160 and they know how to read a gas gauge.Pissed

Comment: The rental car buses at Sacramento Airport are insufficient to carry all the potential rentors. We had to wait for a third bus before we were transferred to the off-site Enterprise office. However, from the time we did arrive at Enterprise things went quickly and efficiently. We had our vehicle and were out in just a few minutes (I had completed registration online). Same story when we returned the car—we were met at the return lane, and off to the transfer bus in a flash! Charges were exactly what we had been wuoted prior to the trip!

Comment: Unexpected poor service with Enterprise Rent-a Car.I have used Enterprise in the past and alway had great service but this time was the EXCEPTION. This was the first time in 3 years I had rented. If this is the way Enterprise now treats it’s customers they are going to lose many.We arrived in Sacramento Airport, and took the shuttle to get the rental car. We had a long flight, were tired and needed to get to Redding, CA. quickly. I went to the counter and told the representative I had a reservation for a luxury car with Sirius radio. She said they had one but might have to give me an SUV. Well, she came back and she said that there were no SUVs and only 1 luxury and that was my only choice. It was a BMW convertible coupe. She knew that I was not happy. I am a disabled combat wounded veteran (Purple Heart Recipient) with mobility issues. My wife has had several operations on her spine and also has mobility issues. We are not short people, I am 5’11” and my wife is 5’6” I told here that I reserved a luxury car not a sport coupe and she reiterated that it was this which is called luxury or nothing. I also asked about Sirius radio because we had a long road trip to Redding. She said if you have Android Auto that “you will be OK”. We loaded our luggage (our two bags and two carryons nearly did not fit in the backs seat and the trunk). The front plate was half off which he said was done in the car wash. I said “this has been washed, in has a hundred bug marks on the front” and he just shrugged his shoulders. My wife and I got into the car with a lot of effort and it was unbelievably uncomfortable. As we pulled away we realize the rear view side mirrors would not adjust and rear view camera was distorted and remained on in drive. We started to drive and shortly I was ready to turn around and return but we needed to get to Redding and besides they had nothing else we could get.When we arrived in Redding we had to get some groceries but only could buy a few because it wouldn’t fit in the car. We were in Walmart and one of their employees said that he saw me get out of the car and thought he was going to go over and help me because I was having such a tough time getting out.We then headed to the mountains to attend a wedding rehearsal and then the wedding of my niece. On Monday, we had had enough with getting in and out of the car. I truly believe that we would have been toast if we had ever got in a wreck because we would not have been able to get out in time.Monday morning at10am we went to the Enterprise Rent-a-Car at 225 E. Cypress Ave, Redding, CA and they were busy and had to wait. I was told that they did not rent luxury there and I asked if I could get something like an SUV or truck and I would pay more and was told they had none. Told to come back in the evening or early next morning.Monday evening-called and said they were really busy and get more cars in the morning and be there early.Tuesday morning- Went in early and waited and waited and then they “Ethan” said he had a car for me and I asked if it was a luxury or SUV and he said no but a Nissan (compact). At least it had more room and Sirius radio. After over an hour we were out of there. He said Sirius would be on in 15 minutes. Oh, and no navigation. 4 hours later and no Sirius. Called Enterprise “Nate” told me to bring it in and they would have to manually reset it and could not be set remotely. Still said that they had no bigger cars. We drove back down and another wait of hour. Nate, the employee told me to come down, took the key and came back after a while told me have to do without the Sirius and no other cars were available. All the times I had waited in the office for help, I heard agents in the back room telling people they SUVs and pickups. We left upset and disappointed.We returned to Sacramento Enterprise and the Agent Cristina apologized profusely and gave a ride to the airport. This was the only good part of the trip. Comment: The process of renting was easy and the car was nice. Only a few negatives. Because I used a debit card instead of a cc, the company charged me for the car + a $400 hold. The agent did not explain to me that the hold was in addition to the charge, so my bank account went under by $11. The exterior of the car was dirty, but the inside was clean. They did not resent the trip (and I was too tired to think of doing so), so the recorded miles that I put on the car was about 2k too many. The brakes on the car were horrible, though it was a 2024 vehicle. The check engine light was also on (though I didnt notice that until the next morning due to exhaustion). When I called the rental place, they said I needed to take it in to get serviced or exchange the vehicle for a new one; they provided a local place for me to do so. When I took the car in, they said if its not acting strange, you can keep using it. As they didnt have something similar to what I needed, I kept the vehicle. Nothing negative seems to have happened due to that. All-in-all, a good experience, except for the brakes and the bank issue.

Our flight was delayed, and despite our reservation indicating a change of pick up time to 1:46 am pickup from the airport, Enterprise was closed, and no one answered the phone. We had to Uber to our hotel, costing us $80. When we called to change the pickup location to be closer to our hotel, we were informed that our rental cost would increase by over $200. Alternatively, we could pay an additional $80 for an Uber to return to the airport for pickup. In addition to the original rental cost, we now have to pay an extra $160 or more.

Comment: It started off terrible! Upon walking in 2 employees were talking and one was sitting on the counter on her personal cell. So looked at them to help me when they didn’t she did not happily. She was extremely rude would not let me complete a statement before cutting me off. I had not made the original reservation but was listed as a driver as I was the one that was going To be driving. We were never informed by the 3rd party site there was any deposit let alone a 400 dollar one! I asked her about this as I have rented through enterprise before but never the airport only local ones. She cut me off an said it didn’t matter where I went it would be a 400 deposit! Which is incorrect. Unfortunately my spouse left the credit card at home (our mistake) so we had to go home to get it 30 min drive each way. Get back are then informed no the card will have to be in my name, which I did not understand as the whole process was under his and the rental was on that card. However prior to this they had ran the card for a 400 deposit! I was told several times in person an over the phone the money would be refunded instantly as it was on a credit card. We are told we can use our debit card for the deposit over the phone but then at the counter are told no that we can not because we live locally which was told to the customer service rep and he stated it was fine we could use our debit. So now Another 1 hr drive back home Get back and the money is still not released. They say it will be no later than first thing in the morning but they have to run my card (same account) for ANOTHER 400 now I have put 800 deposit for my daughters bday trip! Keep getting promises that the money will be returned. Now we are out of town short 800 we had planned to go on this trip with. Which in returned over-drafted my account and caused unnecessary stress an took away from our experience. We called all weekend and got different answers that the money was never refunded that it was but my credit card company had a hold (mind you we were told if it is credit it is returned instantly) credit card company says enterprise has not released the funds so nothing they can do. Truly ruined our first big family trip for our babies birthday. The most we were offered was not having to fill the tank up upon drop off however there was still quite a bit of gas left.

Before we drove off we had a young lady work hard to make sure everything was perfect, including physical work laying all the seats flat in our minivan. She was incredible and I wish I could remember her name. Honestly, this experience was the polar opposite of what we have experienced with Hertz. I am impressed with Enterprise car rental. Car was nearly brand new. Ehsan checked vehicle for any damage and got us on our way. On return Christina got us all checked in within minutes but what she did next knocked my socks off. Check-in was easy and Drew at the Sacramento International Airport was very helpful in getting us in the car and on the road. Returning the car was also very easy and because we had several bags, we were driven to the American Airlines terminal in the car to unload the bags. He told me that he would honor my booking contracts not done He told me that my return time was not an issue it was. So at the end of the rental I was overcharged by $300 the information I provided to him he documented incorrectly so I never received a receipt was shocked to find that I was overcharged by $300 and an additional day even though if he told me that my timing would be okay and that he would notate it. I contacted customer service on that was a whole different s*** storm. They were unhelpful escalations told me that he could not help me Im disconnected my call. I explained to them the situation offer to send screenshots of my contract He still told me sorry cant help you I disconnected my call I called back to let them know that because of the overages I am not able to help pay for my granddaughters funeral He said its already to hear that still cant help you and hung up the call Im so distraught and upset about this I dont know which way to go but I would definitely advise anybody use it Enterprise stay on them stay aware and make sure you have everything in writing Good luck.

Comment: The process to get the rental was great. The return was the issue. The people who inspect, as they usually do, they put the keys on the dash above the steering wheel. One of the inspectors/workers said they would driver us back to the airport. Done, great nice person. About an hour or so later, already on the plan, i get a call from someone saying if i could come back and return the keys. the driver wouldnt have made it back to the car rental area (car would have became disabled) if i had the keys one, and two i was already leaving u would have thought they would have noticed IF they were missing within 30 min.. anyhow i imagine they found it because i told they girl where they were, they must had slid down to the corner or something. never heard back from them and couldnt get thru to them from that point on to see if they found them.

Comment: I went into the airport location for Enterprise rental car to pick up my car. I cant believe the white glove customer service I received from AJ. I felt like I was at a Ritz-Carlton. Even though there were a few people in line, AJ did not rush me, I chose the option of whatever random car they wanted to give me/ mystery vehicle… AJ was very patient with assigning me a car. He gave me an electric car which I had never driven or charged and was completely unfamiliar with. He said lets go check out the car and if you dont want it I will change it for a different vehicle. I ended up taking the car and it was such a good experience. Mostly the experience was so great because of AJ. The car was nice as well.

Reserved an intermediate car (website showed Toyota Corolla as an example) and when I arrived, the agent asked if I would like a pickup truck or minivan instead at the same price. Took the minivan. Easy to rent, easy to return. Only odd thing, which was never mentioned or explained to me, is the way they posted the charges to my credit card. Total amount matched what it was supposed to be, so no complaints. But it was split into 3 charges! Most of it in one transaction, but also another charge for $2.91 and another for $1.00 (no, the $1.00 was NOT just a pre-authorization, it did actually post.) Weird. But a good experience overall so I would rent from them again.

Comment: The saying is third time is a charm. I did feel pressure to take and pay extra for an upgrade when I first got to the counter. I was then told my car wasnt available yet and when I asked I was told in 5-10 minutes. I said I would wait. After 5 minutes they said they would go ahead and upgrade me anyway and walked me to the car. I checked the exterior and put our luggage in the back. Then to my surprise when I got in I discovered they had given me a car with a handicapped hand brake and suicide knob on the steering wheel. I had to go back inside to take care of this issue. On my way in I was approached by an employee that told me I couldnt park there. I told him I didnt park the car it was already there and just rented to me. He again said I couldnt park there. I went inside and waited for a manager to handle the issue. He then thought upgrading me to a super sized SUV would be the solution. One trip around the airport and that didnt work. Finally on the third try a nice young gentleman at the return area was able to find my original car I had reserved and got us on the road.

I was traveling with my frail 73 yo mother and when we picked up the car the gentleman that helped us brought up the car. Comment: I have been renting a cars from Enterprise for many years and never had really any issues. On Wednesday, June 14, 2023 I went to Sacramento for a quick turnaround business trip. Upon my arrival, the staff at the desk was polite and polite. I was offered an electric car, I have never driven one before so I said sure I’ll take because since I’ve been considering purchasing one and wanted the experience of driving one. Everything was fine until it was time for me to return the car. As I’m driving back to the airport a light comes on stating there is 5% battery life remaining, this completely freaked me out because I didn’t know the area or what to do if the battery died. Long story short by the time I made it to the rental car drop off it was at 3% battery life. I should have taken a picture but I was just so happy I made it back, plus I had to rush to catch the shuttle to get to the airport. Someone dropped the ball on making sure the car was charged before renting it. That was the worst/scariest experience of my first time driving an electric vehicle and honestly I don’t think I will rent another one again. The person who checked in in asked me was every thing okay, I told him no because seeing that battery light come on stressed me out. He checked it and said sorry about that. My recommendation to anyone renting an electric vehicle, is make sure to ask if the car is charged.

Comment: Shiv helped us on Friday night, February 10th at 7:30pm. We appreciate that he pulled the car for us to the curbside and spent time to answer our questions about the car, such as how to change drive mode, and put down the third row seats. He even reminded us how to pull the hand break and walked us through it. This is one of the best rental services we have ever gotten. Shiv did a fantastic job and very helpful. He was very professional and friendly the whole time.His good work deserves a credit! My friends and I were very satisfied for his above and beyond services.

Comment: I had a horrible flight, missed my event and was exhausted. The nice lady, Shari (?), was so sweet! She got my car and made me feel so much better by the time I left. She cared.....I just needed that at the moment. My car was perfect!

Comment: We reserved a Toyota Corolla or similar class online at the Sacramento Airport location, they ended up giving us a hybrid Hyundai IONIC, which feels smaller than the class we reserved. The car looks kind of banged up and has some scratches which they noted on the file, so ok thats fine. An hour into the rental, were on our way to Tahoe and once we get on the highway going highway speeds, we heard this thumping noise, and we immediately pull off the highway and into a parking lot. Turns out, the back left bumper was coming off. I call the nearest Enterprise and explain what happened, they tell me they cannot exchange cars, only the airport location can as thats where we rented from. So i get transferred over there and explain everything again, they make a note on our file and says we can come back to the airport to exchange it if we want to and I made sure they made a note that it was not our fault and that the bumper was probably half haphazardly patched up from the previous trips. My fiance also calls another Enterprise car service line and makes a note there to ensure that we would not be liable for the damages, they say no problem, we wont be charged additionally. At this point, were already late to our original plans, and driving through Sacramento traffic again to the airport to exchange cars doesnt seems worth it as we would miss our dinner reservations, so we taped up the car with painters paint (thank god we had it in our luggage) and proceeded on.All is good after that during our trip, then we return the car and explain to them what the painters tape was for and what had happened, they say they do see the notes on our file and that we should be good to go without getting charged additionally.Two days after we returned the car, I get an email from the Enterprise damage claims department asking for us to provide our car insurance or be billed for the car damages. We then call the damage claims department, who says they do not see any notes on their side and that they have no access to the notes made in the Sacramento airport branch. At this point, i am LIVID. What kind of process does Enterprise have that their damage claims department has no access to view our records under our reservation number? The guy from damage claims says he will do some research and call the airport branch, he calls back an hour later says he cannot reach anyone. So then I decide to call the airport branch, they were able to view my files and gave me a reference # to provide to the damage claims department (clearly the guy from damage claims didnt try very hard to reach someone).This entire process had been frustrating to say the least. They give us a banged up car which caused issues during our trip and made us miss our original plans, we used our own painters tape to tape up the car, make several too many phone calls and get transferred multiple times. The most hilarious part is that we had to provide proof/notes made by the Enterprise airport branch TO the Enterprise damage claims department ourselves. Isnt this their job?? Do they not speak to each other?? We called them back and now they are saying they are opening a dispute case, dragging this entire process out even longer even though we are at no fault that the car was banged up to begin with and we could not have seen or predicted that the bumper was going to fall off with the initial inspection with just our eyes.I previously had been a fan of Enterprise as Ive rented from them a couple of times before with no issues, but this experience has made a significant dent on my thoughts of Enterprise and their services. I will not be renting from them in the future given their terrible processes and systems.UPDATE: They are now telling us we are on the hook to pay $1,121, without providing any explanation of their “investigation”, this is truly absurd. I will now need to call back again and explain our situation once again and hope the branch location will communicate with the damage claims department that this rear bumper damage was not caused by us.
