No there was rude in any way but the choices I was given were not good choices. I went with a truck and good thing before driving too far off the lot I noticed (gas was only half full). Who wants to rent and the 1st thing to do is put gas, then 1hr into driving the breaks starting speaking.

Literally rent from here 2x a month for work…they do not provide shuttle service because you can’t get them to answer the phone in any kind of timely way.Please open a location in North Salinas back by the auto mall. Salinas is too large a city to have this tiny out of the way location with these stressed out employees and 3 year old cars they rent with dents and 50k miles and check engine lights on….get it together enterprise! Gone way downhill from their “philosophy.”

Comment: Went to get a car rental from Enterprise after work (around 4:45pm) with my wife through Progressive Insurance. At 4:55pm the guy said that they only had SUVs available. Progressive only covers $30 a day and when I mentioned that an SUV is like $80 a day the guy said that Insurance Companies are charged a lower rate.We mentioned that the guy before us turned down a Hyundai Accent, because he reserved a bigger vehicle 2 days prior and it wasn’t available. He said that they still had 2 people coming in later with a reservation (they close @5pm) he said that we’d still be paying like $12 a day because even though insurance pays at a lower rate they won’t cover everything at $30 a day.I asked him why we’d be paying anything if insurance is charged a lower rate and online an Economy Car is $196.97 a week (196.97/7= $28.14 a day). He said that the insurance will pay a lower rate, but the insurance isn’t going to cover it all.If your Employees are saying that insurance pays a lower rate than online, then how are they going to tell me that the rate that the insurance company is going to pay is the same rate that’s listed online?

No guessing!On the day I was going to leave my vehicle at the repair shop, Enterprise delivered the car at the repair shop. I was able to keep the car rental until my vehicle was fixed. I rented a vehicle through my insurance in which case the had no cars so they said, we will have some cars the next day and that was not true they had other cars that were not covered by my insurance plan . So I took what they had and they said it was only 3 $ more then it ended up being 10$ after that they said even if they gave a car that my insurance covered I would still have an out of pocket expense. And the car they gave me smelled like spoiled milk I told the guy when he showed me the. Car and he acted like he did not even hear me.. i o my took it because I did not want to be stuck without ba Car.. no customer service at all...

Comment: We have rented from this Location a few times now and they have always been very friendly, courteous, and professional. The only reason this is a 4 star and not a 5 is the vehicle that we received. 1st it was an upgrade from what I had booked with only having to pay the difference in taxes which was super awesome, but as we were doing the initial inspection the lady mentioned that the battery in the key fob was low so we would have to hold it up to the start button when starting the car as opposed to having in the glove box/center console. No big deal right? Unfortunately that was wrong. It is not just starting the car it was unlocking the doors as well. It took way to long to unlock doors and the back hatch! Multiple attempts had to be made and it was quite cumbersome and annoying really. Then once we got home from our little get away the car kept trying to communicate w/ the key fob or visa versa and kept beeping and honking while turned off sitting in our driveway. So not cool! We called to see if they could come get it that day, we were scheduled to return it the next day, as I didnt want it beeping and honking all night and was told they did not have the staff to do that but we could bring it in that evening. We were home and unpacking and trying to get settled in and did not want to get in a car again so we just took the batteries out of the key fob till the following morning.This is definitely not the worst thing that could happen but if they know the battery is going to be an issue then change the battery for your customers. I learned my lesson too, if they mention this as a possible issue dont take it, it wasnt worth the upgrade.

Pick up took forever partly because there was no notification that the branch I had wanted to pick up was shut down and had go to the other end of town. Comment: My husband and I rented a car from them we were paying every two days because we had a family emergency. We waited the first day for about an hour and a half it was our daughters birthday it took to long. Then when we called to pay for extra days they said we used our deposit for extending the car. And had to pay another deposit. They also said we owed for extra days, because I forgot to call because I ended up in the hospital. When I got there they said they would take cash if the money wasnt on the card. We found out that the damages on the car wasnt because of us it was painted over. And now they are going to charge us for it. My husband and I are disappointed. We did enjoy the car but to have to go through all this and to be told you will be on a no rent no more contract. Because it I forgot to call. Either way they got their money.

Have always chose enterprise over hertz but after todays unpleasant encounter will be seeking other locations possibly seek other rental companies. Will definitely be reaching out to headquarter. Can image how many people have been mistreated In such a horrible way and are unable speak up.

Comment: Francisco, and Jennifer....Top notch 5 star from start to Finish.I had trouble with my credit card, then the other credit card, and they stayed after closing time to help.I had to extend the rental by an extra 7 days.No worries...I ended up in a sever storm from Ohio through Pennsylvania.I couldnt drive faster than 30 mph, the tires were in bad shape.Francisco calmly and professionally assured me that Firestone Tires will put on a new set.And all 4 tires were replaced in West Virginia Firestone.I am very Impressed.And will always give them my businness first, before going anyplace else.**************

Comment: Poor customer service and unclean. I had to wait 50 minutes to be picked up and than the individual that picked me up hit every pot hole on the way to enterprise. Rented me a car full of paint chips, scratched on body of car and chips in windshield. I was checking the inside and found a used tissue I had to ask for them to remove it didnt even wipe the car down so I went to close store and purchased wipes and clean thyself. Plus car did not belong to there location another 15 min in the cold.

Comment: I had a really bad experience, I first got quoted at one price then when I went to pick up the rental they tell me a different price and when I returned it another different price. I was really disappointed because I had already done my arrangements and for them to just charge me whatever they want wasn’t fair. I don’t think I’ll ever get another rental with them what a bad customer service.

Comment: I dropped a one way rental off here and the staff was nice and helpful. They gave me a ride back to the Salinas airport which was very nice. I did have to wait about 30 minutes for the ride because they were short staffed and getting slammed at the same time, but I’m cheap, so glad I didn’t have to pay for a ride. I tried to drop the car off the night before, but they were closed and there isn’t a drop box. Even though I would have had the car less than 24 hours, because I had to wait until morning to drop it off, I got charged for an extra day. Not this locations fault, but still frustrating.

Ive rented many and these folks remember my name, they come out and shake my hand, they ask about my travels before and after I return. The cars are always immaculate and any time Ive had an issue (1/2 tank gas instead of full, dents I forgot to mention) Ive called and they have been just amazing. I love these folks.

Comment: SCAM.....I recently rented a car at this place. Everything went great until I turned the car in. The young man came back in the office and said he had some bad news. He showed me a dent on the front clip that was so small I had to almost strain my eyes to see it. He said he would have to write it up. He later came and asked if I just wanted to pay cash to settle this. What a great little scam. I wonder how many times this office has charged people to fix the same dent, knowing most people hate to turn anything in on their insurance. 😔😔😔😔😔UPDATE!!!!! Now this place wants me to pay for the grill as well. Too bad for them my insurance company has a lawyer on staff just for SCAMS. I hope the owner of this place gets caught for fraud.
