Comment: I would give this location 10 stars if I could. I was in a bit of jam and had to return home early from a work trip. Gil and his team were able to quickly get me into a vehicle on on my way. These guys are customer friendly and solution oriented. Again, I highly recommend this location.

Comment: Had to leave my suv for repairs and needed a car to get to work. I made a reservation online and a few days later when I arrived, Zack and Lelana helped me(sorry if Im misspelling either names). They offered a free upgrade since the fuel efficient cars werent returned yet. I decided to wait, and even though it didnt take very long, they gave me a discount which I thought unnecessary but I was grateful. I brought the nissan car back a day early and because I returned it before noon, I wasnt charged for the additional day. Im used to a bigger car, so this little Nissan was scary to drive in for me, but I had no other problems than being a big person in a little vehicle with tiny mirrors. The radio sounded better than in my own car. When I took the car back, Gabriella greeted me when I pulled in to check the car. All three of these employees were very helpful and made the process of renting a car easy for me, and I will be a returning customer. Thank you guys.

Comment: My experience with Enterprise Car Rental was incredibly frustrating. Despite reserving a pickup at a body shop through my Geico insurance, I was transferred between branches and encountered dishonest representatives. I waited for an hour at the body shop, causing me to miss all my morning meetings. The lack of transparency and the impact on my professional commitments left me deeply disappointed. I rate Enterprise Car Rental 0 out of 5 stars for their deceptive practices, inefficiency, and disregard for my time. I strongly advise others to seek alternative options, as my experience with them was highly unsatisfactory.

Comment: I pre-paid for a rental car. I had it for a total of 3 weeks and 2 days while my car was being repaired. When I dropped the car off they told me that I would be refunded $300 for my deposit. At this point I had paid them a total of roughly $2,000.00. $1,700 for the rental and taxes as well as the $300 deposit. Instead of refunding me the deposit, the CHARGED another $1,700.00. I have now paid them a total of roughly $3,700.00. They claim to have been under the impression that they had only authorized the previous amount. This is not accurate. They agreed to refund the $1,700.00 and the $300 deposit however not before I wait 3 business days. If I hadnt noticed immediately they would have gotten away with over charging me $2,000. More than double the cost of the rental.

Leilani was super friendly and was able to get me a ride back to where I was staying. Thanks for making what sometimes can be a nightmare on vacation a truly memorable moment. Comment: Made a reservation for a rental vehicle and when I went to pick it up this morning I was told that car and rate was not available. They checked for another car for me and the rate went up over 120$. The the trouble is the vehicle is selected in reservation was parked on the lot.Wasted time that should have been spend on the road figuring out a different rental. I could not imagine a customer be treated as badly as I was.I had reserved a cargo van online and received an email with confirmation number. On set date drove 15 miles to pick up the van and was told they dont have any onsite and were not able to locate one from anywhere else.I asked why was I not informed ahead of time? Claimed to have called me, showed them my phone and voice box asked them to show me their phone number.Then she gave me La Mesa branch number and asked me to call them for availability while refusing to call herself. La Mesa did not have one either.The concept of customer service and satisfaction means nothing to them. They dont leave up to their commitments and peoples time is a meaningless concept to them.

Comment: I’ve rented several cars per year for years now from San Diego to DC. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had. The staffs attitude was awful and after waiting over an hour they let me know there were no vehicles available. I tried calling two days in advance to make a reservation and they assured me it wasn’t necessary as they would definitely have something available in the class I needed. Out of the three people working none of them seemed to understand the basic function of their positions. They had people waiting the entire I was there for simple things like car returns. Not sure how much training people get but it was clear they need more. If you can avoid it don’t go here.

Comment: The entire experience at this branch was unpleasant. It could have been worse, but it could have been way better. When I called to reserve a car, I asked if they had a RAV4 as it was similar to what I drive now. They said yes, and that they would reserve it for me. When I arrived, they had me in a Nissan Kicks, I told them I reserved a RAV4 and pointed it out in the lot. They said its out of service for an oil change, but they would call me in a few days to exchange it.....They never called. They did text a few days later asking for feedback, and I replied regarding the issue. Two days later they texted back saying I could wait after the weekend to pick it up as new cars will come back after the weekend (That would make it day 8 of having the Kicks, so what is the point exchanging it now)....Obviously they forgot...I ended up not bothering and kept with a car I never requested. Upon returning, I asked if they would email me the receipt. They never did. A few days later I had to call the branch to remind them. Overall, just bad customer service and no follow through on what they say theyll do.

Comment: My family rented out a car in Barstow, they paid with a debit card,they were charged.The female employee cxled their rental & reported the car stolen.My grandson was in San Diego at the time was upset 😡..he was alone. so I had to tell him to go to my home and we would return the car...when we got there & said what happened ..the guy told us there is nothing they could do...but because she reported it stolen...they are now blackballed from renting from them.I asked what about the deposit..,they said take it up with the rental place or maybe you might get a refund in the mail or a bill.....like really...you do nothing wrong but are treated as if you did...and there is nothing you can do...That female in Barstow needs to be fired!...

I will never use Enterprise in San Diego again.My BMW rental smelled like urine and cigars.I had to take the car to Pepboys after the check engine light had been on for weeks. I called road side service and was told as long as the light was not blinking on and off dont worry about it.Took the car to Pepboys and the car has a few things wrongs leak in gas tank, needed an oil change, and something with the radiator.The guys in the office are very unprofessional and rude. I am not sure how they have a job in customer service. And when I asked for the number to corporate they stated that they did not have that information.

Comment: I’ve had the worst car rental experience in this branch. i ordered car seat for my toddler in my reservation a week ago and they couldn’t provide it when i go there to pickup the car.than they offered me to get car seat at the sd airport branch and manager said i worked at there before, they always have car seats and refused to call & check.i said ok but you’re wasting my time and need to upgrade truck to suv for free. they didn’t do it.after this i decided to call sd airport to check car seat (thanks god i did it) and they said they don’t have any!!! when manager heard this, they offered same “old & dirty” truck for free.long story short; they wasted almost an hour and now we have to take our own car seat to catch flight at LAX and carry it more than 10.000 miles with us!!! and those arrogant manager believes he solved the “problem” instead of doing their job right.* bonusthey left couple butter packs for us 🤤

Comment: The staff was friendly however the economy car I got for the week was dirty from the outside and inside. There were dog hairs all throughout the seats. In addition I had to wipe down the seats myself since they did look a bit dirty. The car was pretty nice it just had a lot of hits all around which weren’t minor hits let me tell you. Overall this location was good, again the staff were very friendly and understanding.

I kept having to extend because of my car continuing to be in the shop and I will give him a call he’s like OK no problem OK no problem and he made this transaction easy and effortless. The location is a little tricky to find on El Cajon Blvd. and the first time I tried to find it I actually missed it, LOL and a quick trip around the block got me there!The next time you are in San Diego and are looking for a great car rental experience, I would encourage you to check out this enterprise car rental location and ask for Kristian! I think management should promote him 👍🏼

Comment: I had to drop off my car at Caliber Collision nearby, and thankfully Enterprise was able to come pick me up at the location. I was greeted by Connor who was probably the most friendly and helpful individual I have encountered in any rental services throughout all my travels and local as well. Connor kindly explained the services and what was needed of me, and even offered to clean up the car a bit more before letting me take it to work. I am thankful for all the services provided and explanations given by Connor and would love to come back to this Enterprise whenever I am in need of services in the future.

Comment: I’ve used several Enterprise agencies throughout the city, as I rent vehicles often for travel. I have found most recently that this agency is my go-to! They have a VERY friendly staff, and are ready and willing to address ANY issues you have with immediate attention! I was picking up an insurance rental the other day and popped in a bit early, and watched their interactions with other customers, and being in a position where customer service is what I look for most, they exceeded all expectations with each and every customer!

Comment: Friend needed to rent car, hers at Repair shop. Called number listed- this is NOT this location, but computer desk!! Said would have compact for $225 a week! When got there, only Jeep or Mini-Van??!$360! Up-sell deal?? Saw compact there, but not sure if rental, looked more than year old, cars have different state plates. Car rental person quickly went back to office without seeing we got car going, drivable. Had to go get another employee to teach how to get all lights on, and info. about this model. Think our rental agent had bailed, saw other one leave a few minutes before. PS we got there at 5:30pm,half-hour before closing! Also when inspected at 5:45pm no parking lot lights on to really inspect cars. Lights turned on at 6pm when location closed??!

Comment: This lot has never been on point. I show up at 3:20 to pick up my rental via my ins. Co since mine was stolen the day before. I was told it would be ready at 3pm.Im greeted by a nice guy, says he will get someone to help me, cone out a few minutes later saying hes the one taking care of me. Gets my info goes back in cause hes new and not sure whats next.He comes to inform me that the car they have fir me is about 10 to 15 min out. When it gets there they need at least 15 more minutes to inspect it on arrival, then again they have to walk me thru an exit inspection.This is already an hour + of my time wasted because poor planning in their part. So instead of waiting outside in the parking lot, because i cant go inside to cool air and I still have to fill out paperwork for my insurance claim, I walk back home w groceries I picked up earlier. Awesome service Nosurprise Rental.I do feel for the young guy that was supposed to be getting trained by someone. Fail in the beginning. Fail at the end. Training tips.

Comment: I use them all the time they are convenient to my home.. I have an update. I havent reviewed much lately because it is just a odd time and we all have adjustments to make.. But I have to today.I rented a car for the day for a work thing. I had no issues until I returned the car. Surprise!! we won’t take you home. We will take you to a dealer or body shop because we have a contract but we won’t take you to a residential address. NOTHING any where says that they no longer pick up and drop off. They did not tell me when I got the car.When I got upset, at being stranded, the Manager said that was their policy and walked away from me.I have used this specific location since it opened and have never left angry or not been treated well. I am so disappointed with this new policy, and this manager. I cannot understand the reasons for it. A ride is a ride, home or to a dealer its a ride where you need to go.My company has us use Enterprise especially because of the pick up and drop off feature.My advise- ask ahead or make arrangements before you make the reservation. It was not a surprise anyone needs to hear at the end of a long day.Enterprise you might want to make it clear on the website that you are NOT going to include all these really nice Covid 19 precautions unless you are renting using an insurance claim.Enterprise reached out I talked to them about this issue. I expected at least an apology from the manager for being rude, nothing. What a waste of time.

However, calling in is a challenge and I was unable to get anyone to pick up the phone when I wanted to let them know I would be late returning the vehicle. Its a small staff so I understood.However, the vehicle options themselves were very poor. I rented a standard sized vehicle; my options were: a pickup truck ?? a mustang convertible (for a business trip to LA - no) and a Nissan Rogue. OK, thats fine. However, the seats were stained and I could tell someone smoked in the vehicle. I had a co-worker travel with me and they immediately asked me if I could smell the stale smoke. My impression is there are much better selections at the airport and satellite offices get the secondhand vehicles. I may have to use them again as theyre located close to my home but I am not impressed.

I believe enterprise should re-train it’s Managers in the customer service aspect of matters.It seemed as he had no prior management skills with dealing with customers. It seems as everyone treats the insurance related rentals at a much lower respect level than out of pocket customers with my experience. Comment: Horable service, not all employees might been the one to be blamed. I had a reservation by confirmation number and also phone call prearrival for a sedan 5 people car. I arrived first and +5 people inline behind me. They told be there is no car available at all nothing available in any near by branges except for a PICK UP TRUCK. my senior family can not do trucks! I had a reservation! ended up with that truck smelling gross I wanted to puke multiple times with all the windows open GROSS, couple lights on oin the dashboard I know nothing about, not just that, the gas tank was less than a quarter for such a high gas millage truck, I asked about gas level, the guy told me this is what we have and if you bring it any higher than this level you will not reimbursed or anything. I had a lot to do, did not have other option than taking that car. AVOID AS MUCH AS YOU CAN, OR DO DIFFERENT BRANCHES like airport larger fleet maybe.

While I waited for my SUV, they tried to convince me a pick-up truck was the same thing. They told me to just throw my luggage in the trunk, and claimed it would be fine without being tied down or covered. Not true! We were put on wait for 39 minutes and then when we arrived the plane was a disaster. 5 customers in line, every single one of them dissatisfied with the service . We booked a mini van as it was the only vehicle large enough to transport all of the people . They literally gave the mini van to a single guy who was requesting a regular size vehicle without refueling or washing the van . When I suggested that I believed that we had already reserved what was clearly the only van in the lot the customer service agents chose to ignore me and then proceeded to apologize immediately afterwards . Specifically, my dealings with the branch manager Lindsay were pleasant and helpful, as she was happy to answer all my questions and accommodate my rental requests.I recently moved cross country to San Diego for a new job, and rented a vehicle from Enterprise on El Cajon Blvd. for approximately two months after my arrival. I came to CA with a foreign (Canadian) driver’s license and was required by the CA DMV to pass a written and road test. The wait time for a CA DMV road test was nearly 6 weeks, forcing me to rent a car in the interim. Additionally, I needed to use this rental car for my DMV road test.Lindsay and her staff helped me make sure I had the complete vehicle registration and was signed up for the proper insurance coverage through Enterprise for the day of my road test. They made it simple to add and remove the insurance for just the single day (relied on my credit card coverage otherwise). As well, I had two-month long reservations in two different cars at two different rates, and Lindsay made sure I could stay in the same car and pay the same rate, to streamline the process.Finally, I had two small paint scratches show up on my rented vehicle during my rental contract (likely from a shopping cart or parking lot mishap). I was fearful of the damage report and extra charges (and looming fight with my credit card insurance provider to be reimbursed). Lindsay informed me the scratches were under the limit for the Enterprise damage evaluator tool, and there was no problem at all.All-in-all, it was excellent service, and made the whole process painless and enjoyable (which I very much appreciated). I know the expectations on and risks of a rental car make customer service in this industry very challenging, so having such a seamless experience was truly great!

Comment: Oh man, my experience here was the worst Ive ever had with any enterprise... A simple drop off turned into a 40 minute hassle. The worst part was that Id rented it at another enterprise and had just come here to drop it off to make it easier on myself.The location is tiny, cramped and awkward but thats the least of its negatives. The hispanic girl at the front desk had a real attitude and seemed to have a chip on her shoulder... She made inappropriate comments about the rental arrangement Id made (my mother had paid using her credit card) and then she repeatedly accused me of having a dog in the car (I absolutely did not but admittedly my dogs hair gets on my clothes and very small bits rub off on things? sure?). The hair was so minuscule I could actually count the hairs... we’re talking like 7. Ive absolutely never had this issue with any other enterprise return EVER. She clearly had it out for me...She wouldnt accept my explanation (basically called me a liar) and told me to drive across the street and vacuum it out at the gas station or she would charge me an additional cleaning fee (theyre supposed to provide a complimentary cleaning service with each rental and the amount of dog hair was very, very minuscule)... I drove across the street, bought a coffee, came back and didnt even smile when she okd it after reinspection. Stupid stupid. Extremely frustrating experience and a real waste of my time.

Im allergic to dander and it apparently was a heavy amount that they didnt clean out prior to me driving it. I almost ended up in emergency for HIVES! Enterprise is the best for me. I love that they pick you up and sometimes you get blessed with perks. The longest I rented at one time was 3 weeks. They were great! That said, the hours of operation are a little narrow which keeps them from serving the community as best they could. Also, I have been disappointed at times when they say they will have a certain car for me at the appointed pick-up time but dont and then want to give me an upgraded car. Upgraded cars are fine if they fit my needs, but more often I end up with a car that eats more gas. Overall I have been more satisfied than dissatisfied and I find them better than most car rental agencies.

They couldnt give me a time frame of how long so I went home and after an hour of waiting decided to contact another rental agency that was able to get me a car right away but was double the price due to it being last minute. I tried calling multiple times to get my money refunded and they never answered the phone. They finally called me 4.5 hours later asking if I still needed a car. I called their corporate office to file a complaint and was told someone would call me within 48 hours. Comment: I LOVE Enterprise! I have been renting from them for more than 20 years. I remember in 2000 April 1st at that, getting into a car accident. Enterprise took great care of me. I had full coverage so a tow truck came and took me to another enterprise (I rented from a location in Orange County, CA and was driving to N. Hollywood) in Los Angeles. The accident occurred in downtown LA. Enterprise gave me another car and upgraded for no extra costs. I love Enterprise! They are the best. I will always go to them and will always refer people to them. I really love that they will pick you up. If you havent tried them yet, you really should. They will take care of you. Have patience and remember Just because your in a rush, doesnt mean you need to be rude. (I remember someone getting upset with the staff) They will get to you. If you have never rented before, read the qualifications first. This way you wont upset yourself for them not being able to rent to you because you were unprepared. The manager in store name Cory Anderson keeps escaping from the phone call when you have problem with their charger in your card.When I got the car, they told me they would holding $ 100 just for deposit only in the Cr card, because I had my insurance take care the rental. I gave them my debit card. The next day, I saw $100 already processed, I felt very strength about this. When I returned the car, I asked them why it was so weird when it processed the money already instead pending. After I return the rental car, they told me their system had something wrong, so they couldnt refund the money to my account in that day. The manager name is Cory Anderson told me he will contact me about the refund, but he never did. I have been waiting for his call Friday, Saturday. Until Monday I still saw nothing refund money to my account yet, I called back tried to talked Cory about this problem, but he tried to escape my called all the time. Every time I called they told me he was with customers and just leave message for him, he will call back but he never call. Even I ask for the receipt email to me, but 4 days already I still didnt get that. I already reported this problem to my bank about they over charged in my card so the bank will take care of that.I have booked the rental car through Enterprise so many times with another location, but only this Enterprise in El Cajon Blvd has very terrible customer service .

Comment: I have had good experiences with this place, but the last 2 x were the worst. I will never go back there. I have rented cars from them over the last 3 years, maybe 20x, so they knew me and was a good customer..I sent a long letter to customer service and never heard back a word.I recently rented at Mcar and it was so much better. The car was good and the price was better and the insurance was half the price as enterprise.

Comment: The lady who helped was very nice, I do not understand how priceline offers insurance (full collision damage) if Enterprise does not accept that coverage, then it needs to be removed or not offered from Priceline. The lady who helped me explained that to me after i had already paid for the coverage through priceline. She told me all I needed to do was contact priceline and get refund, once I called Priceline, because I had already picked up the vehicle they could not refund me back my money. So i was out $30. Not cool that they do not explain this to you before.

Comment: The manager and her staff were very professional as I had weather issues for a business meeting in SFO and flights were cancelled that morning and I re booked a flight from LAX and needed a car ASAP to get to the airport there and return the same day.They were very courteous and assisted me with the a great car and price. Comment: I rented a car for a drive up the California Coast. The first car I picked up had some serious issues with the transmission and I knew it wouldnt make it through LAs stop and go nightmare. Angel at Enterprise made it very easy to exchange the car and I had no problems with the one way drop off.

Comment: I picked this location because it was close to my house and that ended up being the only good thing about it. When I got there, they werent super busy, I had to wait for them to wash my car...they knew I was coming and didnt have a car washed and ready for me?Be prepared to wait at least 30minutes, apparently they dont wash the cars until you get there.The staff was not helpful and were having their own side conversations while I was waiting to be helped.Overall very dissatisfied with this location. I always use enterprise and will continue to, just not at this location.(Apparently everyone gets a star for existing...please get new management!)

Comment: Im a frequent customer and when I started renting from this location I will say i didnt receive great service. I believe they might have new management but I would say I have received great customer service from the team and management there for the past few months. Even when they are busy and looks like they might be short with staff they smile and acknowledge you and get with me as soon as possible. Great service!

Comment: I had just completed driving from Mooresville North Carolina with my wife. We had moved from San Diego 3 years ago and were visiting my daughter and my new grandson. My wife had a lot of friends she wanted to see and I had some business to attend to so we clearly needed another vehicle. I went on line to the Enterprise website and quickly reserved a car. When I arrived the car I had reserved was found to have vomit all over the back seat. I was given an upgraded car to my delight. It was a fast and seamless transaction. Upon return the same kind of fast and professional service was rendered. I was very satisfied.

Comment: I rented a compact car for a day but, when I got there the only available vehicle was an 8 cylinder truck. Although it was offered to me at the same rate, it wasnt what I needed, specially with gas prices so high nowadays and going on a trip out of town.The lady whom wasnt assisting me but, overheard the conversation(kudos to her) did an effort to find a car fitting my needs at a different branch and luckily was able to do so. So, they offer me a 10% discount due to the hassle of having to drive to La Mesa (10 miles) to pick it up (they took me there).Overall Ok, although the extra trip was kind of a hassle due to the time constrains I was facing that day.

Comment: Take care! These guys are all smiles at first. Then you may find yourself on a difficult situation. They can charge you for unasked extras with no pity and unscrupulously.We had a monthly plan that was agreed with a monthly reduction as advertised on their offering. At the end, they charged full months forgetting their own rules.Worse, we asked for 1 single day of extra coverage for a DMV test, after several months they charged us that coverage for the whole rental period. We lost thousands of dollars without notice.The contracts do not mention those details that they keep on their system. All the smiles Mike could do transformed into crook behavior very quickly with the help of his worse manager.Avoid this location or be VERY CAREFUL with what they give you. They do not tell all. The staff is totally incompetent.

Comment: Just had a very disappointing experience with Mike and Chris the manager and director.Called needing a car for a day on business, they picked me up by client office I get there and would not rent me a car for a day because I was not a resident of San Diego.Had multiple forms of IDs, business and personal debit cards and a 8+ year client up the street that could verify me and willingness to pay any deposit necessary for a 1 day basic car rental.They would not do anything for me. Enterprise will no longer have my business nor would I recommend it if they dont take care of paying customers in a time of need.

Comment: As a recurring customer, I find the manager and staff perform a great job in customer service- very friendly with personalized service. They are very accommodating and flexible. They always call before they pick me up (free pick up/drop-off is a great plus- very convenient). The car is always perfect for my needs. You cant beat Enterprises AWESOME weekend special rates especially when compared to those extra nasty fees and taxes youll pay in the “airport zone”. With their multiple locations, the key with Enterprise is GO LOCAL. I highly recommend the college location of Enterprise Rental Cars.

Comment: I rented them for an extended period of time, 2 times. The first time I waited over 45 minutes to get the car. I thought I would give them a 2nd chance, this time it was worse I waited over an hour, they said they had cars to rent when I got there they had one, yes I said one. which had no gas, and the oil light to change oil was on. Stayed on for the entire time I had the car. They did however call and ask me if everything was going ok so that was one good thing. Oh yeah when we were checking out the one car that was available the girl kept pushing me to take their insurance, I said NO 4 times. I counted, she finally said, OK then. I would never, never rent from this car place again.
