Comment: Customer service was very smooth and excellent. I rented a van and got the option to get a red Durango instead. It was perfect and I’d definitely rent with them again.The best car rental spot in dtla, wish there was a shuttle or Uber service with it, if you were local but still excellent overall.

Comment: Unfortunately this was one of the worst car rental experiences Ive ever had.After reserving well in advance from an Enterprise location that suited me for my onward travel I was finally on the road two hours after my reservation time after having been driven back further into the city to pick up a car from another branch.The staff, while lovely and friendly, didnt seem to much appreciate the inconvenience this caused.If Id known that Id have to wait so long I would have either done something much more fun with my time or called around other rental companies, but I was consistently told it would be 20 minutes.Sorry to say I wont be using Enterprise again, and I cant recommend them.

Comment: Horrible! If I could give negative stars I would. I received confirmation for the car I renter. Once I got there. The lady behind the desk had the most horrible attitude. I gave the name for my reservation. Ohhh yes. I saw yours. I was supposed to call you but I didn’t. The car is not available. After I paid a lot for an Uber to get to the location. I was in shock and asked why she hadn’t called me. She replied verbatim “ I’m busy! Don’t you see that I just cleared my lobby! ( her co worker was sitting next to her eating food and not doing anything in fact) You don’t understand me! She yelled. To which I attempted to reply. And the lady says “HOLD ON HOLD ON HOLD ON” while I’m trying to speak. I asked if I could finish my sentence to which she replied. Actually I’m not renting you a car at all! This all next to other customers standing in the lobby.I will never in my life rent with enterprise again. My family and I have rented with enterprise for many years. But this treatment as a customer. I’m appalled. Very aggressive and hostile.I took my business to Avis.

They ALL have always been very kind and accommodating. Occasionally, some customers choose to smoke in the car. However, since I am not a smoker, the staff always ensures to assist me in choosing the best fit for my needs.

Comment: Had I not called them this morning, they probably didnt even knew I existed and had to pick me up. I called them after they werent around after the agreed pick up time. I was left on hold for about 20 mins. My pick up guy and guy at the counter were great under the circumstances. I just wish I didnt have to waste more time because their validation at the lot didnt work for a group of us trying to leave when we we released our rentals.....It has now been over a month and no one has been in contact with me to follow up after I have sent them an email according to the response below.

In addition, the customer service was disappointing. Even after speaking with the branch manager, I received no improvement in the level of service I received.

Comment: I am very impressed with service at this location. I requested if a specific car make was available because I am trying to figure out which car to purchase. The staff went out of their way to help me and even had a car brought in from a nearby location because this one didnt have any of the makes I requested. I believe the person helping me was Dino.The return was also incredibly fast. I was worried it would take long becuase I had to get to work but it actually took less than 5 minutes!I was very happy with the whole experience.

Comment: Dear Customer Service,I wanted to let you know that you service in LA airport is terrible.We spent over 2 hours negotiating our car (which has been paid fully in the advance) and finally, we got it, but the service was very unprofessional and stressing.The lady working at the desk didnt want to give us a car because we didnt have a stamp in Passport. We are from Poland and now we dont have turistic visas anymore, only ESTA document. There is No possibility to get a stamp at the airport without visa, I checked that with border control.We showed them everything but she was very stubborn. Please kindly provide the training to your employees as this can cause many misunderstanding.It was very unfortunate and we were so much dissapointed about the quality of your service.

We did not have a reservation, and they still got us a luxury, brand new car, which were looking for, within seconds, and for an outstanding price. The employees are all extremely helpful and made the process very smooth, and easy. They were accommodating to our needs. Comment: This is the worst enterprise experience I ever had. At first the reservation phone call was extremely rude and impatient. I don’t even know why that attitude was there. My appointment was at 11:30 am and they said the car was not ready after I waited 30 minutes. They said I can come pick up at 1pm which I waited and I did not get my car and they said no more cars available for me today when I get there at 2pm. No one informed me ahead. The customers before me all got their service taken cared of and they were treated nicely who are all white males. Comment: This location has some of the most professional people that I’ve ever met at a enterprise location. Miguel the assistant manager was very accommodating to my needs. Adam was my direct contact and he goes above and beyond to make sure I got the right cars during my 7 days rental. I was able to change my car on the last day and allowed to drop it off at the airport. I highly recommend these guys if you’re in downtown LA.

Due to the holiday there were hardly any cars left to rent but he gave me a discount on a gorgeous brand new Audi. I wound up returning it early in the morning to another location, and they charged me for a full day (calendar day vs 24 hr period) which I did not expect. I called and spoke with Nicholas again, and he waived the last days rental fee which was so wonderful. Highly recommend!

We visited this store based on Google reviews.When we entered the store, we were offered a $120 pickup truck with no insurance. According to the service employee, this car would be the only one currently available. Short check on the homepage, same car for 80 USD. I was told I had to reserve through the website if I wanted the car at that price, which I did. This was followed by a rather tedious and complicated process (I have not experienced this with other car rental companies) recording all the data. The staff was rather listless and uninterested in helping. We were then supposed to wait outside and after a while of waiting a pickup truck drove up, unfortunately not ours. An employee came up to us and said that he no longer had a pick-up, just a smaller car for the same price. Felt pretty ripped off, canceled the reservation and went to another rental company 50 meters away. Here everything worked quickly and without problems.

Comment: We placed a rental for a compact suv. It was confirmed with a confirmation number. We arrived to pick up the car at the rate we agreed to and they had no cars after spending o er $20 to Uber to the location. We were then told they had another suv but we would have to pay for the larger suv at a much higher rate. This was unacceptable but we had to have a car that day. They should have matched the price as it was not our fault. We took the higher priced suv again because we had no choice. We then get in the car and the smell of weed was strong to say the least. It was like someone was still in the car smoking. This was a business trip and having to take the higher priced car was bad enough then to put the President of our company into the car with the strong odor was horrifying. He was extremely upset by the entire ordeal. We had to ask the valet at our meeting the leave the windows down to air it out. Didn’t help. Had I been pulled over while driving this vehicle, we would be having a much different conversation. Disappointed.

Comment: You should have checked in detail with customer when you handled over the vehicle to the customer. Don’t tell customers carelessly. Customer is not a fool.And if you are customer, don’t use self checkout. Or they will charge you for the gas without saying anything even though you filled it more than you did when you shipped it.And if you are a foreigner, require them the document or record what they said.Of course, they won’t contact you because they can’t register your number because of different contact number digits.

Comment: This experience was three years ago, but as I look to rent a car again, Im reminded how annoyed I am about my experience here.I rented a vehicle for a Thanksgiving family reunion trip back in 2019. The car was dirty, beat up, and didnt have a full tank of gas. I asked if anything else was available, and I was told this was the only car in my price range.I took the rental, and the IP rattled the entire time. Two 4 hour trips, and many smaller drives in between. Drove me insane. Think there were some oil change warnings too.Politely told them about the issues with the vehicle, and how disappointed I was with the experience compared to other rental places around here. They offered two days free rental in the future. I thought that was kind.But it never showed up. I called a few weeks later, someone apologized for forgetting, and promised to mail out the voucher. Still nothing. Gave up.Overall disappointed. Been sticking with Sixt from now on. No issues, clean cars in good condition, and comparable prices.

Comment: Im a long term customer here. Wanted to rent a car to go out of town for my 40th birthday. However my drivers license also expired on my birthday - no problem, I renewed it online. But to them thats not valid. I needed a special watermarked interim license from the DMV. So I went to the DMV and wasted 2 HOURS trying to get this paper (the whole point of renewing online is to not have to go to the DMV). Yet I still couldnt get it because my renewal was already in process. Id have to have it canceled, then reapply - a giant headache. So I do not have that more special temporary license that Enterprise requires. AND I missed my work shift today over this. AND I still cant rent a car. AND now, my 40th birthday is ruined. In addition to this, Enterprise randomly no longer honors the corporate code I use (from my mom). These two surprises totally screwed me over, and I will never forget it. I am done being an Enterprise customer for the rest of my life. Full price rates to rent cars are an insane rip-off.

Comment: Went by yesterday after I dropped off my car at the service center next door. It 90⁰ and within minutes of walking up I was greeted by Josh. He made sure to listen to my needs, gave me a discount because of my vehicle in service and handed me over to Karla. Karla walked me over to the rental, gave me a brief but clear 411, and by the time I got in the rental she had already had the AC running.Came back to drop it off today and was instantly greeted by Manny. Quick walk through and done. I had a short, but great experience. Definitely will be back here if I need a rental.

Comment: So I made a “reservation” through the call center and they confirmed it was reserved and ready for pick up, they even took down my card and license information unfortunately the call center did not actually make my reservation, and I came to find this out until I arrived here i called customer service back and they were extremely rude ! I felt hopeless but thankfully this location has great staff and amazing customer service !!!!! They were able to get me a car rental even though the call center never sent them my reservation !! They always kept communication while I was waiting and were all so polite,It was a bit chilly so while I was finishing the whole contract process they let me put my babies inside the car so they wouldn’t be out in the cold any longerI would 100% recommend this enterprise location . They picked me up and helped me with the paperwork and charged me $150 deposit. Normal routine stuff.Now when I wanted to return it after 3 weeks, they told me I could leave it at the repair shop and they would pick it up, but that it would be best for them if I could drop it off at the rental place instead. I went for the latter and no one was available to help me out as they were too busy and short staffed. I understood the situation and told them I would drop it at the shop since I had to get my car and get going.Its been a week and a half now and I still dont have my deposit or end of rental receipt. I try calling and they have me on hold for more than 15 mins with no answer. Point of story dont go to this enterprise and go to a bigger location with more people on hand.

Comment: MISCOMMUNICATION ALL OVER. I came to this location on a trip to LA, and it was a mistake all the way through. We had multiple issues in this reservation with being overcharged, but I will only talk about one that has been left unresolved. When we made this reservation, it was originally under my boyfriends name (31 y/o) in order to avoid having to pay a young driver fee since I am 24. He was the only driver we planned on using anyways, so it made sense. Once there, we decided that we would pay for the reservation with my card since they wanted a $300 deposit. After my boyfriend filled out the entire contract, the employee who worked with us, Austin, took my card and proceeded to change the contract into my name. I thought he was adding me as a driver, not changing the contract completely. I saw the charge go up from $130 to $170 and specifically asked Austin why it went up. He said that it was due to the young driver fee, but he assured us that he would fix it and send us an updated contract/receipt to reflect the $40 taken off. He never made it clear to us that my boyfriends original reservation was invalidated and that I was now holding all of the legal liability (basically as if my bfs reservation never happened). We were under the impression that it wouldnt be an issue later on because Austin mentioned that he would fix the fee at least twice during this conversation. Of course, to nobodys shock when it comes to a national company, this never happened. When my bf called to see if this could be resolved, the manager spoke with Austin and of course, he didnt say that. Our issue ultimately isnt with the $40 because whats done is done, we paid for it. The issue is that Austin assured us multiple times that he would take care of the fee, and it never happened. Nobody likes to feel like they were taken advantage of, and thats exactly what happened here. I would recommend going elsewhere, so that you avoid getting taken advantage of by a charismatic sales guy in a situation where one person is under 25 and the other is above.

Comment: This was by far some of the most frustrating and disappointing customer service experiences I’ve ever had. If I could give 0 stars I would.First, when we called to book a rental we were quoted the wrong, lower, rate. After receiving another call to confirm the booking from a different representative in the same office, we had to explicitly ask for the total rental amount which was when we discovered that the rate was actually much higher. When we asked why the rate changed without our knowledge, the explanation we were given was the other representative was looking at the wrong rate table. We should have heeded this as our first red flag but we decided to go with the higher rate as the location was more convenient and within walking distance from the location we were staying at.Second, our rental pick up time was at 6pm which turned out to be the CLOSING time of the office. When we arrived a little after 6pm, we could see that the entire office was full with at least 4 people including the manager (I counted). Side note: We also attempted to call the office at 6:00pm to let them know we were running a bit late and no one picked up.The representative who came out to talk to us told us said they were already closed and can’t take anymore reservations despite the fact that our appointment was scheduled for 6pm because they had already “shut down” their systems. We then spoke to the manager who give us a list of bad contradictory excuses as to why they can’t allow us to pick up the car which included things like, the system is running a software for an inventory reconciliation which takes 12 hours because it was enterprise wide but we could still go pick up a car at the another enterprise office at the airport, everyone had already clocked out, and very heroically saying they’ve once accepted someone when they arrived at 6:01pm. ONE MINUTE after the reservation time. The manager also had the audacity to ask me if I’d ever worked over time because of a customer complaint to prove his point that he was not going to. Is the reason why because you don’t want to pay your employees overtime for better customer service? And if you don’t want to work late, why in the world would you allow a car to be picked up at the same time the office shuts down. None of these things were communicated to us at the time of booking and they booked us with a wrong, higher, without telling us.I see a lot of good reviews but I am extremely disappointed to say I am not one of them and am appalled at the poor management I saw displayed. I sincerely hope that the reason why I was of the few that received poor customer service despite the many good reviews was not because of any racial or gender discrimination

Comment: Worst rental experience I have ever had! I knew I could not show up before the time I was supposed to rent a car or I would get charged for an additional day, it made that clear on Orbitz. To avoid getting charged, I waited until after 6pm, the time I chose on Orbitz, to go, and it was closed! As it turns out, they close at 6pm. That was never made clear to me. It is impossible for me to come at the correct time. If I try to come before they close, I will get charged for an additional day. If I wait until 6pm, then they have already closed. Then when am I supposed to show up? I also called the national line for Enterprise, and they spent more time telling me how wrong I was and how right he was than being helpful towards me and actually solving the problem they created for me. If you want a smooth rental experience, dont choose Enterprise in Los Angeles. Absolutely unacceptable!

After I signed the document on staffs tablet, I got the electronic rental agreement in my inbox. The rental agreement says no damages. I insisted that must be fixed. Therefore its only natural that I would expect the same from other Enterprise rental agencies. So I made my reservation online and book the weekend special, got an excellent rate, and would be able to select whatever was available in the midsize economy rental. The young lady who made my reservation was very polite very professional very courteous she kept repeating is there anything else I can do for you today?And Ithought that she had done quite wonderfully.... I could not thank her enough, and then we ended the phone conversation. I actually came away from that phone call feeling confident that the matter had been settled down to the very last detail.Needless to say the area where I was visiting, Boyle Heights, was unfamiliar territory, I felt like a complete stranger, and became very uncomfortable about traveling on my own. So this was the time when picking me up and making sure that I got into a rental was most important. And I honestly feel bad making reference to these people in the same sentence with Enterprise rental agency. Because they were not the Enterprise I have grown used to when I had transportation needs.I was given the location and the phone number and I was to be picked up at 2: 30 pm. Instead what happened is when I phone the branch location to inquire about my pick up, I was sadly informed that the particular area, Boyle Heights where I was visiting just happened to be two miles out of their pick up range and unfortunately I would have to use Uber to pick me up and that they would reimburse me for the fair,--up to I believe $14.00Well, unfortunately again there were no Ubers available I wind up taking a taxi Yellow Cab.Once I arrive at the location it was 3:30, one hour after the time I had reserved a vehicle. Only to be placed at the end of the line.Then I was further told that because I live in the Burbank area I wouldnt be able to rent a car from that location because of my address and because I was carrying my debit card which they refused to take. I ended up spending the night in their parking lot and taking a taxi out the next morning.That was my worst Enterprise rental experience. And in closing I just want to point out that part of Enterprise rentals trademark even in their commercial they say, We pick you up... And that is the main reason and incentive that sets them apart from all the other agencies. Believe it or not thats what makes all the difference. Now someone needs to let me know why?

However we had an issue with our credit card after the rental due to their 200$ deposit policy. As my card is not in US dollars, they charged us on Day 1 a 200$ deposit that they credited the next day, but due to exchange rate and Visa 2.5% exchange fee, our 30$ rental costed us 25$ in credit card fees... Both Visa or Entreprise thought its a normal procedure and its up to the client to read the fine prints. Well, I will read them next time, but with a different car company.

Comment: It was awful from the minute I entered the office. I’d like to describe why picking up my rental which I had reserved days before took close to 2 hours to complete. I understand that it was a busy weekend, but if the office was better organized, I would have been out of there much sooner.There were quite a few people either dropping off vehicles or picking them up. It was confusing as to whom I should talk to. Eventually, at the direction of whom I presumed was the manager, a young woman asked the names of us had not yet been helped. Took our first names only and if we were dropping or picking up. I went to sit down and wait to be called. I asked the manager, who I don’t believe ever looked at the list of names taken before, when I would be helped, he said my vehicle was being brought down. (Didn’t even know who I was). Eventually, after asking and waiting, easily 30 min, he asked me what my name was. He apologized, and said that I would be helped soon. He offered to upgrade me for free, which I accepted. It’s easily an hour maybe more when they brought me to look at cars. I had reserved a full size car. He showed me an infiniti, which I loved, but couldn’t find the keys. Showed me a large SUV, which I didn’t want because I would be driving easily 100 miles and didn’t want the expense of gas for a larger car. He understood and went looking for another car. Found nothing, and it seemed that I was stuck with the SUV. I saw that the original car I had reserved was still there. Asked if I could just take that one, forgo the upgrade because at this point, I was really late for our drive. He realized then that the full size ford that I reserved had a busted side mirror. I was then stuck with the SUV that had less than a half a tank. He told me I could bring the car in close to empty and they wouldn’t charge me. Well, that didn’t matter because putting gas in the car was outrageously expensive. Finally left Enterprise almost 2 hours later. Dropped the car off late in the evening after hours. Suburban we rented barely had 1/4 of a tank of gas in it, which made us look around for a gas station near downtown right away. The return process is where it all went downhill. I was told how to do the afterhours return, completed it the way I was told. I attempted to call the next day 8 times during business hours to confirm they checked in the vehicle. No one would ever answer the phone. On hold for over 20 minutes each time before giving up. 5 days later I still never got an emailed receipt. I finally got a hold of the location who never completed the check in from 5 days ago! The lady who answered was helpful, and closed out the reservation and got my deposit on the way back to me, but this shouldn’t have taken this long and I shouldn’t have had to do the leg work. Unfortunately this location is convienent if you are staying downtown, but be prepared to be frustrated.

Comment: The worst avoid! I hired a car from here on a Saturday morning a few months back. The car I got had obviously just been returned, it had just under half a tank of fuel and was dirty on the inside and out - however as it was crazy busy it was this car or nothing. I had the car for a day and a half, and used the out of office return key drop. 3 days later they charged me $500 for “damage”, they have never been able to evidence this damage, which they told me over the phone was a scratch on the trim at the passenger door. After months of arguing they finally issued me with a final invoice for the “scratch” a few weeks ago - $320! There was no scratch, they have been unable to provide evidence of a scratch such as a picture, but it seems like there is nothing I can do. I am an emerald customer so extremely disappointed by this branch, will never use again and believe the out of hours key drop give them the opportunity to over charge you for things which do not exist. Will never use Enterprise again.

Enterprise will collect from my insurance company $1050 for the use of the rental (that exceeds a car note) to only be treated as if I was a burden or bother to this organization. The staff at the LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (LAX) lacks professionalism as well as compassion. I thought the Enterprise Company works as a unit rather than individual entity’s. We are visiting LA and made a reservation for noon pick up ... they called to say they will have the car available at 3 after a shipment and would call back. But before meeting them, in regards to their Enterprise Rent A Car national hotline phone number, I had two very frustrating experiences in trying to be connected to them for 20 min by their national hotline phone number employees not in downtown LA. Once I was disconnected to Downtown LA by phone after talking over and over repeatedly what I needed. The other national hotline call center Enterprise representative was incorrectly understanding t that I quickly wanted to be connected to this particular location in downtown LA. Comment: I Rented the marvelous Chevrolet sonic. When I booked the car it appeared as I was going to get the Nissan Altima gladly last minute they gave me the keys of this chevy. Comment: My experience with enterprise was anything but pleasant. I rented a car in Utah to drive to Los Angeles, and wanted to rent another for my return trip a week later. Getting the car the first time was a breeze. When I wanted to get one to go home it proved to be nothing less than a pain in my ass. I had made a reservation to pick it up, but they told me that since I didnt have a major CC or a return flight there was absolutely nothing they could do for me; while when I rented the first time everything I had was perfectly fine to rent the car. The associate explained that since there is a higher theft rate they need to take more precautions, completely understandable. It would have helped though that when I first rented and asked if it would be the same deal when I picked one up to come home, that they would explain these regulations to me. So, I had to have my friend whom I was visiting leave work with his credentials to rent the car for me at a different location on the other side of the city and add me as a driver. Upon doing so though we were questioned viciously about our business renting a car, and almost disregarded as thieves. They told us that his address wasnt valid to use. It was only until my friend became upset about all of this that they decided to just go through with it. 45 minutes later we have a car and all of the employees found that now was an appropriate time to be pleasant and nice to us. This hassle could have been saved had ALL of the enterprise locations be on the same page about the rules and regulations, regardless of if they follow them or not. Thanks for the cars, it was mostly a good trip, all save for your business ridiculous customer service.End rant.

My hope was to get as many things squared away as possible so I can spend minimal time picking up my rental on the day of. I was told I can do this when I reserved the rental. Two days before my rental date—when I decided to make my advance payment—I was told I can only pay 24 hours ahead of my rental date.
