Comment: Terrible experience. I rent a lot of vehicles and travel a lot. I usually get the cheapest car to suit my needs. I was taking my girlfriend to Napa and wanted to get a nicer vehicle. So instead of paying $19/day I elected to get the luxury suv at $119/day. It was supposed to be a BMW or something similar. What a waste! They gave me a Mercedes but it was barely and SUV and not at all luxury.I was not greeted at the booth when I came to pick up the car. They didnt ask me if I was happy with the vehicle they selected. They barely said a word. Then the car was filthy. There were about 6 used water bottles underneath the seats. The steering wheel dirty. Instead the center console was dirty. I was going to exchange it but I decided it wasnt worth my time as I only had a few days there.I will not be using Enterprise ever again that is my true take away.

Comment: Excellent. We were hurrying to return the car in time so we could then get the shuttle to our plane and mistakenly returned the car to a nearby Enterprise instead of the airport location. The employee first gave me directions to the right location (about 2 or 3 miles away) but as I got back in the car to go, he said he would drive us to the airport which he then did! It was awesome. We then did not have to take the shuttle - he was it! And then he returned the car for us! Great car (was very new) and great service!

Comment: Quick in and out at Oakland Airport. Provided with warnings about not leaving items visible in the car and locking doors at stop lights. One more warning needed - dont buy gas to close to the airport - there are thieves ! We were not robbed but the gas station blares out the warning so it must have happened repeatedly.

Comment: My experience at this enterprise location was mostly great. After checking in online I was able to head straight to the lot and was greeted by Nick. He was very nice and let us choose which vehicle we wanted. He even made it a point to make sure we were in an almost brand new vehicle and it was a hybrid which is always great with how high gas prices can be. Leaving the lot was also simple and easy. The car was great and drove nicely. When we returned the car the experience was not as pleasant. The lady who checked the car back in claimed that we scratched it when I am positive that we did not. The scratch in question was also so small and faint that I wouldn’t even have noticed it. She called over her manager and even he didn’t notice it until she pointed it out. She said she would “let it slide this time” like she was doing us a favor. That left a sour taste in my mouth and I did not appreciate it but other than that, my experience was good. Nick was definitely the highlight and he did an amazing job.

Comment: Overall we had a good trip with the rental van though I have to say that the service was very poor. First, when I was at mountains the vehicle showed me an alert that an oil change required SOON. I immediately submitted a complaint at enterprise portal but got no response. I had no option than continue driving and after around 500 miles, when I was my way back home, got an alert that oil change REQUIRED. Per my knowledge that means oil level is 0%. I was little worried and called customer care and they requested to talk to the Oakland office. I reached home safely and next day I had to drop vehicle at oakland that is 50 miles away. I was worried and called customer care again and they confirmed that vehicle is due maintenance at 27000 miles and it is 28800 now (it was 26802 when I rented) so not safe to drive and they offered me the towing service though charge might be applied on me. At that point I was furious that nobody taking responsibility and accountability for the vehicle. So called oakland office. The person first response was the service was due at 27000 but van was rented before it so it is customer responsibility. When I was enjoying that fun part, still I was looking for some help for how to drop the vehicle. The answer was 1. Drop at your nearby enterprise location by paying $100 or drive back to our office. When I was stressing on my worry the KIND answer was thats all the option I got. Again called the customer care and they accepted to waive the towing fee. Thank you for everything.

Comment: I felt compelled to contact Enterprise Rent-A-Car to relay how appalled I was at the treatment I received on 3/8/24 at their Oakland, CA - 7600 Earhart Rd. location. I have been a Plus member for some time now and NEVER experienced what occurred that night! After confirming my rental car through Enterprise Rent-A-Car online I contacted the Oakland office before my arrival date. I spoke to a Customer Service Representative about getting my rental car when my flight arrived there around 1045pm. I was assured that the office would stay open until 12:30 am. since I included my flight information in my reservation for the rental car. Once I arrived at 11:15 pm. and caught the rental shuttle to the Enterprise Rent-A-Car office it was CLOSED!!! I called the Enterprise phone number left on the countertop and was informed by the message that the office is now CLOSED and would reopen at 7 am. I got an Uber to my hotel that night. I returned later that morning and talked with Mr. Tyrone Campbell, Station Manager working for National Rental Car. After I told him about the aforementioned incident, he assured me that this incident would be looked into by him. Mr. Campbell was very pleasant, and understanding listening tentatively to my complaint. Mr. Campbell, righted the WRONG DONE TO ME BY ENTERPRISE Rent-A-Car and upgraded my rental car, back-dated my rental to start on 3/9/24, and discounted the amount that I paid for my Uber to my hotel and back to the Enterprise Rental-A-Car office to pick up my rental car! THANK YOU, Mr. Campbell your AWESOME!!! MAYBE I SHOULD RETHINK MY PLUS membership with ENTERPRISE and GO WITH NATIONAL CAR RENTAL INSTEAD!!!

Not only did he literally run up to my car (very much appreciated since I was running late to catch my flight) but he got me ready to head to the shuttle in minutes. I was in such a rush that I left my keys attached the car keys in the rental car. He ran over to the bus that was about to leave, hopped on and handed me my keys. He saved me so much time and trouble and was incredibly kind and thoughtful. Give this man a raise and a promotion!

Comment: My experience with Enterprise has been mixed, the people at the store were wonderful and brought light to a bad situation. The customer service and road side assistance over the phone was a whole different ball game! having an accident and calling in, road side was only able to make a report, but didnt have the power to cancel or modify my existing contract, or even get me another car brought out. The next morning i go passed back and forth between customer service and road side for over an hour and finally they say they are going to bring me a car out and that someone would be reaching out shortly for the delivery. i waited most of the day and ended up calling back and they then say they have no record of me needing another car, or a delivery request and that i will need to go down to the airport to get another car.Enterprise customer service over the phone suck and their practices are less then efficient, I hope they get a better handle on their operations. It also sucks that you cannot call any branches directly, its all ran through a phone service.

The staff was professional and very friendly and worked quickly to get the necessary information to get you on your way as soon as possible. I rented under a corporate account and it seemed as if they did everything they could to make sure I was taken cared of.

Comment: I experienced car trouble shortly after I picked up my rental at the Oakland airport. I called Enterprise and they sent out a tow truck to pick the me and vehicle. The tow truck driver was Julio, who was very nice, helpful and respectful.I needed to pick another rental, unfortunately they did not have any standard size vehicle, so they gave me a small vehicle to use.I have lost 4 hours of my work through this ordeal. Upon returning the rental to Enterprise I was assisted by Victor who was very nice and listened generously to my experience and all that I went through. Comment: During a recent visit to the Bay Area of Northern California to see family, we flew in to Oakland International Airport where we picked up a rental car at Enterprise. I had scheduled a rental of a Sporty Car during our trip, and they provided us with a white Dodge Challenger. This particular Enterprise did not have a counter inside the building housing the rest of the rental car agency desks, so we proceeded outside to the pick-up kiosk. Unfortunately, it was raining, and there was very little protection from the cold, wet weather at the kiosk. The customer service rep was very friendly and found our reservation immediately. She proceeded to pull up the car and provide us with return instructions, etc. Unfortunately, as we drove away from the airport rental location, we realized the car had been smoked in. Our clothes smelled horrible as a result. We were very lucky in that the San Ramon Enterprise branch was willing to trade us our car in exchange for another car that smelled fine inside. They confirmed for us that the OAK Intl Enterprise should have deodorized the car prior to renting out again. Although I would happily rent from the San Ramon Enterprise again, I cannot say the same for their airport branch. At least the customer-facing folks there were extremely hospitable and I dont want my experience to reflect negatively on them.

Comment: Amazing service from check in with Monica, who was super friendly and helpful she made it easy to get the SUV to start our girls trip.To returning the vehicle with TyAnna Banks again super friendly and easy to return the vehicle. Probably the friendliest staff I’ve dealt with at an enterprise.Also as my friends and I got to the airport terminal, one of them realized that she had left her wallet in the SUV. She returned to enterprise and searched 6 vehicles because she didn’t have the information on her since I had already gone through TSA. But whoever helped her at enterprise made her feel at ease because he dropped her off at the terminal instead of her waiting for a shuttle. Honestly, we experienced the best service and will definitely rent at enterprise again.

Comment: If there was an option to give 0 star, i wouldn’t even put 1 star. This company is terrible. Their new policy is garbage. I was told once i arrive that i couldn’t pay cash or use my debit card. They only accepted credit card(if only they said it from the start)… On top of that I was told by the employee I can use someone else’s card to pay. I went and drove 30 mins to pick up my uncle just to find out that I couldn’t even use his credit card while him being present with his License and ID. You guys suck!

But I got a parking ticket in San Rafael, and even though I paid it quickly, Enterprise charged me $25.00 in addition as an admin fee. Since I went over the Carquinez bridge twice, Enterprise charged me $14.00 for the tolls, which I expected, but they also charged me an extra $9.90 for a service charge. They point out in their messages to me that all these extra charges are in the terms of rental agreement, which is a lot of small print that few read. These charges are small compared to the total rental fee, but I feel that they took advantage of my cluelessness. I dont like the feeling. Not that other rental companies are any better. Next time Ill bring my bike.

Once we arrived, we were told there was no car available and that we would need to pay triple for the cars that were available. After expressing our frustration, and basically giving up. We are finally told that in fact we can get a car for the same rate. 2) Our car got a flat tire. Roadside assistance directed us to the nearest location (San Leandro), indicating that a car was available for us. Again. No car available. We call roadside assistance again they tell us that they’ll get. out and we should stay put. We wait 1h. We call roadside again. We are told it’s “up to us” we can go somewhere to another location if we want. We are assured that the case is escalated and that they call back with more information. We never received a call. We call roadside again. The promise there will be a car at the Oakland location. We drive to the Oakland location. You guessed it. No car. In this experience we were explicitly lied to in several cases, by several different employees. At all costs consider different options if it is at all possible.

I have used enterprise while traveling with business without incident. This personal trip with my wife should have been easy. I arrived at the counter and the first issue was - I gave my license and credit card to the rep. And immediately the problems started like a scene from seinfeld. First even with my id and card and he looked up my info and got the wrong person and began to explain the car I had reserved was not available. Eventually I realized he had the wrong person after I asked for a manager. With that straight they than told me my car was still not available. Looking in the lot. Lots of cars. With persuasion I was sent out to talk to a lot rep for a car. We were able to get our car and out but it took WAY to long. Got to this location and the woman was rude and seemed to make up many extra unnecessary rules just to make me miserable. Due to unexpected fees and requiring all on a credit card (none of this was mentioned when booking online, and was not required at the other nearby enterprise) I had to have a family member come and help with my reservation and pickup. Then when I mentioned having a dog, she tried to tell me I could no longer reserve the car, then tried to charge a $500 cleaning fee PRIOR to rental, and finally let me leave with the car. She never even discussed whether or not the dog would be in the car, this was just from knowing I have one.Then, upon return, unfortunately she was also there. I accidentally left my house key in the rental car. When I went back to get them, she told me I had to fill out a lost item form and wait 30 days for a response. I had to escalate it, and turns out someone had found my keys and they were right there at the desk all along. She just for some reason wanted to screw with me.I am shocked, as I had a great experience at another enterprise location, but I will never be using their company again.

Comment: The check-in at the Oakland Airport was as bad as I have ever experienced at any rent-a-car agency I have ever experienced. The woman who greeted me was beyond rude. I provided her with my drivers license and proof that I worked with California Rural Legal Assistance. My rental was through CRLA and she DEMANDED that I provide her with CRLAs insurance agency or I would not be allowed to take my rental car. I told her that I did not have that information and that I had rented a car from the same location in April and that I was not required to provide that information. She replied curtly, The policy had changed in May so if you cant provide the insurance information we will not rent to you. I replied that I made the reservation online four days before I was to pick up the car and the was no warning online that I was to provide that information upon picking up the car. If I had been advised in advance of picking up the car-or had been required to provide the information while making the reservation I would have done so, but that it was unfair to expect to me provide the information without prior warning. She left and brought the manager who was equally rude. He again demanded the insurance information from me and said there would be no rental without me giving him the information. I said that that information was available with our corporate account with Enterprise and that he should have access to it. He repeatedly insisted that he had no access to that information and that there was NOBODY at Enterprise he could possibly contact to get that information. He insisted that I must contact someone at CRLA to provide that information or they would not rent to me and he and the rude Enterprise greeter (Nini or Neenee?) then disappeared for the next ten minutes. I called CRLAs finance team and they advised me that Oakland Enterprise was the only Enterprise that SPORADICALLY was requesting organizational insurance information. The rude greeter returned and as I told her that I had the insurance information she curtly replied to me, Oh, we have that information.... I arrived for my rental in good humor. I was not demanding. I was not rude. I did ask questions that became more pointed as my treatment by Enterprise employees became ruder, but I never raised my voice. I have no intention of returning to the Oakland Airport Enterprise again. This was the most unprofessional and intentionally rude experience I have ever experienced at Enterprise. If CRLA did not have a corporate account I would not return to Enterprise to rent again. Be assured that I will be sharing this experience with others who intend to rent cars from Enterprise.

We followed the directives from the helpful & empathetic roadside assistance team at Enterprise, yet at the airport pickup site we had to wait for hours until we could be reassigned a car, due to branch policy. I mean, geez, we’d just had our lives disrupted, lost items with sentimental value & others with high economic value & these folks kept us waiting until the tow truck brought the damaged car before they’d let us drive away with a replacement vehicle. As I entered, there were three agents (2 females and 1 male) all engaged in what seemed like one big cat fight. There was hair pulling, slapping, tussling around. Once they realized I was standing there watching them, they froze, and immediately stopped. It was extremely unprofessional and not to mention against their company code of conduct, I’m sure. Comment: I only rent cars from Enterprise. Why? I was riding my bicycle across the US in March 2020 and arrived in Panama City Beach when Covid hit and everything began to shut down. They rented me a car on my debit card. I got home to my family in three days for less than 300$. The company is family owned and kept its workers employed while the competition fired theirs. In the years since they have always gone the extra mile for me. Every person I have dealt with, like the young woman who made it easy to drop off in Santee instead of San Diego two days ago, has treated me like a person and a valued customer. The vehicles I’ve rented have been clean and well prepped. This is the best rental car company in the USA.

Comment: My experience with the customer service was great. It was at the SFO location (780 North McDonnell Road). I really appreciate the service provided by both the lady (I forgot her name, shes white, mid-height, brown/blonde hair, wearing glasses) at the vehicle returning service and Gabe Kern (branch manager). They are both very friendly and express genuine concern and care for customer. Because of their help, I wasnt charged extra fee and got to my flight on time. Really appreciate them!

Comment: Sadly the car I rented had an it face malfunction and I couldn’t get the directions to the airport, which gave me a super bad anxiety attack being lost in alameda, however when I got to the location the employees helped me get to my flight in time. Kia has apple play which kept glitching out and not charging my phone. Luckily I was able to pull over and charge my phone and distributing nectar from the car interface. I called the last number I dial ed which was a place called swell. The lady there was able to get directions. Enterprise does not allow you to call locations and their customer service is in India and you can’t get any help. Customer service lady wanted to give me directions to denver international airport instead of Oakland airport.

Comment: Same great Enterprise service I have come to expect on pickup and turn in was a breeze (after a couple of missed turns at Oakland International, better lighting on the signs for the rental companies might help in early AM). The Equinox I rented was ‘adequate’ but left a bit to be desired in features - perhaps a little more time familiarizing would have helped (and some of that’s on me)? I’m still an Enterprise fan!

Comment: Christmas chaos with rental car agencies overbooking cars. Left hertz without a refund to come to see if enterprise had any availability. Customer in front of line told me that they offered her two different cars and she only took one (letting me know they do indeed have one more available.) went up to the counter and they denied it and refused to service me. The customer that told me actually went back to the counter and asked and they told her that she wasn’t supposed to tell anyone. This is ridiculous. I’m surrounded at the airport for Christmas.

Comment: OUTSTANDING service with Kay who helped us with our car rental. She was so friendly, nice, helpful, personable and knowledgeable of the car inventory when I had questions. She was so thorough in the check out process and thoughtful to let us know the process of returning the car. Even enough I’m a frequent renter at this airport location, I appreciated her time in caring to inform us about the process. :) Simran and Miles were so helpful to extend my rental. Comment: Second.time using Enterprise this year. Both car rental experiences were great! One was longer road trip from SoCal to NorCal, other trip was fly into OAK airport and pickup car for day trip. Both times Enterprise rental car was easy to book and reserve, was given choice and selection of vehicle on site, always anticipate added insurance, only extra +/- $28, (get it, its worth the piece of mind IMO).Unlimited miles, easy drop off and go. Pricing was competitive and accurate. Tip: For longer road trip allowed dogs, just make sure to ask and approve, covered up all areas with packing blankets fo easy no mess clean up. Will definitely continue to use Enterprise in the future. Tip: check tire pressure before leaving lot. Both times tire pressure.was a little off and car pulled left.

Comment: Customer service was great. Getting the car and returning it was super fast and efficient, however, the car itself was not good. I rented a high end elite suv. There was no windshield wiper fluid and itwas in a fogging town with not so good air quality. Windshield got dirty super fast. The well known brand luxury car did not operate very well. The transmission struggled to get into gear. At one point it took me and hour to get the car to release its emergency brake system so I could drive. It was automatic so had to try and read the manual to see how to get it to release so I could drive. No navigation was available so had to use my phone to get to my destinations. While that worked, it was extremely stressful to keep looking at my phone while in a City that had extreme traffic. I was disappointed at spending extra money on a luxury car that looked good but functioned terrible. Enterprise did give me a 1 day credit and $50 for the hassle but was still disappointed with the quality of the vehicle.

Comment: We rented an Audi Q5 from Enterprise this time and everything was perfect. The car was clean and we really enjoyed driving it. Great Experience this time.This was the second time in a row that we have been given an unclean car in Oakland. The first time we had mud on the back seat and the second time we had fast food between the seats. We have only used Enterprise over the past 20 years because they were consistently good. The people we dealt with were all very nice and professional so we arent ready to give up on them yet. We may need to start flying into San Jose to get a clean car though.

When returning the car we informed Monica of two minor discrepancies, the first was the crack in the windshield which they had already been noted prior to our pickup and the second was the odor of smoke. My wife and I didn’t want to be charged for something we didn’t do. Monica checked on our concerns and was very helpful in making sure we weren’t held responsible for those discrepancies. Comment: I went directly to the type of vehicle that I rented, like Ive done a numerous airport rental locations. Checked the minivan and proceeded to the exit booth. I was turned back at the exit booth, because they do not offer direct access to your rental vehicles at this location. I had to go back and process through the customer service counter. For the inconvenience, the customer service rep said that I did not have to fill the tank on the minivan, when I brought it back. Since I was going to drop it off at 2:30 AM, I thought that was great, only to find that there was no mention of that on my rental agreement. I brought it back full, just so I wouldnt get the added fuel charge after I had left Oakland.

Comment: Impressed with the staff at Oakland Enterprise. The staff is working outside, which makes their jobs a bit more difficult with trying to read slates in the sun. I had failed to coordinate my flight arrival time and my rental pickup time by several hours, but the staff member took care of the problem in a friendly and professional manner. The return went smoothly, except the signage directing you to the Car Rental Returns were really lacking; kinda of like those funny memes they had one job; had to circle around to find the second sign (not Enterprises fault, but they may want to discuss this with the Airport Management).

But…Only issue - car not equipped with a fastrak transponder for bridge tolls which meant I was to cross a bridge and then be billed after. Which is fine but then Enterprise charged me the toll which was $7.00 and tacked on a $4.95 SERVICE FEE (!!??)??? So because Enterprise doesn’t have the car equipped with the transponder, I paid the toll plus a 71% service fee to Enterprise???? The bridges in the Bay Area no longer have toll takers so no option - not really fair.That’s why they got a four star instead of five.

Comment: In the old days, on our vacations I used to choose whatever was the least expensive car rental company. Two times with two diff UN-named less expansive car rental companies we nearly missed our return home flights due to terrible cus service and or long waits to get the car returned .Also I tend to do a LOT of miles on our vacations, so in my case I purposely choose an economy car to save on gas. Esp. now mid 2022, gas prices are thru the roof so getting the type of car I actually booked was important to me. In the past with those OTHER car rental companies....Id reserve one type of car, but most of the time I got a totally different sized car than I wanted...well, just wasnt great. Long story short since I have been using Enterprise even locally a few times, everything has always gone extremely smoothly, cars are always in great shape, NO surprises no up sells. Enterprise may cost a little more than the cheap rental car companies of the day, but its been my experience I always have a great stress free experience with Enterprise, and I highly recommend them...

The booking process was relatively easy BUT apparently it automatically waived the insurance option when I reserved my car, so instead of paying $500-ish dollars for my rental, I paid $700. The guy who helped me out at the Airport rental center was nice enough but was complaining about how the computer system was out dated. Not really something you need to talk about.Customer service was helpful when I needed to know whether or not a shuttle service was available when I was going to do an after hours drop off. Comment: Initially went there with a previous booking with another car rental and was left high and dry without a vehicle. I was feeling lost because I traveled miles to see my son. Refusing not to cry and give up I went to enterprise (who I should of started with initially) I was greeted by Darvonte immediately and he began to assist me. I explained to him what I needed and why and he excitedly was willing to help to me. His customer service was amazing. He reassured me that I would be able to see my son after miles of traveling and that was heaven sent. I drove off the lot in tears ( happy tears) he was my Angel that day. Thank you for employing him. During this pandemic customer service in places has went down, but Darvonte STILL gave amazing customer service. Definitely friendly, definitely welcoming, and succeed my expectations. Thank you enterprise for having him. If he wasn’t there I don’t know what would have happened. Now when I personally rent, sometimes Enterprise is just a bit more $ than Budget for example. Comment: Be VERY CAREFUL - the last two rental receipts did NOT match the car I returned. Because I looked at the 2nd one, they sent me a corrected email immediately. I am still working on the first one! I need a correct receipt to dispute bridge tolls. I have a photo of the license plate and a copy of the bridge tolls after I returned the car. The receipt has the correct car model, mileage, but a different license plate #. NO ONE from the office even returns calls - is has been 6 days now. Every day when I call they assure me the manager will call you back, but nothing! At one point a customer service person said the plate I had was not in their fleet (despite my photo and verified bridge tolls). The staff, when you check in and out are all very nice, but there is something shady going on in this rental center. Are they switching license plates?

Comment: The young man, Darvonte, at Oakland Airport enterprise was stellar in his customer service and made me very comfortable with the process. If this review was based on Darvonte then it’d be 5 stars, but unfortunately, it’s not. Excellent customer service aside, the car was on EMPTY when I got in and was also dusty/dirty and obviously hadn’t been cleaned. That’s whatever, I don’t hold that against anyone. The biggest issue I have is that I 100% left a pair of Beats headphones in the back seat and remembered after I got off the shuttle after dropping off the car. I immediately called and filed a lost item report, KNOWING a million percent that I left them in the back seat. After filing the claim I have received zero feedback from Enterprise and am not confident in your ability to get my lost items returned to me. This isn’t the first experience I’ve had with an item left in the car and that was also never returned to me. Am I to just expect that if I leave something in the car it’s just gone? I am Enterprise member and rent from you all regularly and love renting from you all, but if this is the customer service we can expect if something is left in the car then that is unfortunate and I will be moving my business elsewhere. Best part of the experience was Darvonte.

However our last experience out of the Oakland Airport was less than stellar and extremely disappointing.First, there was only one person there to work with people. It took almost an hour to get waited on. During that time, we saw this woman struggle to find cars for the people in front of us.Second, when it came to our turn, she raced through, didnt ask if we wanted to upgrade. The only car left was a Nissan that was too small for my tall husband..his head hit the roof. However this time we were using a new airline our of the hanger (not the normal airport) we were unable to get a lyft or cab and the manager went out of his way to ensure we made it to our flight on time.This kind of personal treatment is never forgotten! Some employees are unable to think beyond corporate policy or normal routines, everyday business functions. Comment: This was the first time using Enterprise at the Oakland Airport. Overall, it was a good experience but one little item surprised me. We drove the car 68 miles. We filled the tank up a few blocks from the rental car location; even topping it off a bit to make sure it was full. To get a receipt at the gas station we would have had to go into the shop and because of Covid we skipped that. When we checked out, we were not asked if we filled the tank, nobody got in the car to check the gas gauge. When the gal told me the total it was $4 more than the quote, but I figured it was just a tax. After walking away and looking at my receipt I realized they added a fee for gas. It’s not a lot of money but it was a surprise. It’s not even worth a call, just wanted to post so others can be aware.UPDATE: I am updating my original review from a 3 star to a 5 star as Enterprise has resolved this issue to my satisfaction.

Comment: First let me say the general manager Latasha has been there for years and she is always so helpful, customer service oriented and keeps her word. Staff seems to have good customer service skills as well. The ONLY downfall to renting vehicles is sometimes the cleanliness isn’t always up to par. The dashboards could be wiped down just a little bit better, seats(under & sides) could be vacuumed a little bit better & maybe some type of disinfectant sprayed after cleaning to mask the lingering smell of cannabis for those of us who do not smoke. I love this location but I always have to take that extra step in wiping the steering wheel & dash down. Gas tanks are always full and they’re quick to correct a mistake. I appreciate latasha and her staff .

Comment: Before you make a move, read the reviews on Yelp.If where/when you spend money you expect 1. respect 2. integrity or 3. service then this is not the rental company location for you. I have not experienced such horrible service in my life. I would rather pay more for a degraded vehicle from another company than deal with the level of service I received from this place. Once they arrived approx 30 min late and didnt honor my 2 promised upgrades because the managers who gave me the upgrades were either on furloughed or not there so it could no longer be honored. I received extremely dirty cars with previous 2 rentals and in order to make up for the state of their vehicles the managers have me a free upgrade for my next rental due to the fact that I had to clean out the vehicle myself. They tell you one thing but do another, will make up policy on the fly and will not honor that policy later. Keep in mind not only do I have a corporate account but I am a frequent personal renter. I will NEVER rent from Enterprise again. If my money is my voice hey will no longer hear my voice at Enterprise. Use any other rental company other than Enterprise. National is owned by the same company but the service experience is on the polar opposite. Avis at the Oakland airport has excellent staff as well. Go speak with Tess at Hertz shell take care of you. Trust me steer clear of Enterprise.

The staff goes out of the way to make sure you know where you are going and how to get there. The Nissan was spotless and ran perfectly. The staff makes sure you are ready and oriented. Comment: I booked with Enterprise since theyre a trusted name in the business but when I arrived to pickup my car I was told it wasnt ready. This is really frustrating when you book something months in advance for a specific time and youre told sorry with a shrug. Waited an hour in the parking lot before the car rolled up and I arrived late to my event.Other than that, the car was great and the return service was speedy. But Ill definitely be hesitatant from booking with them in the future.

Comment: I love Enterprise, They hire smart, interesting, capable individuals who are friendly and on the ball. I have NEVER had an issue with them. The cars are great and there is never a wait. I dont ever even consider any other companies now, they are far above the competition. I have spoken to several of their employees and they are happy to work for Enterprise and feel valued and well taken care of. Comment: The customer service was great. Getting the reminders to pick up and drop off my car was a nice bonus. My only issue was the car I got. It was a 2019 Toyota Camry. The car was clean the windows were rolled down it had low mileage seems perfect right? Well I had to roll up the windows, I drove it home and it sat in the sun while I finished packing for my road trip. When I opened the door after a couple of hours, it hit me the strongest smell of marijuana you could imagine. I drove it to pick up my friends and had to stop at a grocery store to get air freshener. While on the trip I had to repeatedly spray the car down and I was praying I would not get pulled over for speeding because as Ricky Ricardo would say you have some explaining to do. I let them know when I dropped it off and they did nothing. I contacted them on their webpage and still nothing. Then I get this email to provide them a review of my experience. Guess they didnt get the email.

Comment: I always use Enterprise to rent my car! Check in is super fast and easy, takes about 3 minutes. Cars are always clean, great condition. Last 3 times I rented, I received a brand new car with less than 3000 miles on it. Drop off is also always fast and easy. Also, great customer service and easy to get an upgrade for free ;) I will never rent from another company

Comment: Ive rented cars from many different companies over the years but for the past several years, I dont even bother looking at other companies, I simply book with Enterprise. It started with me working on booking a car online and I used a couple of the sites that check every car rental company known to man. While I was usually able to find a rental that was $15-20 cheaper, I kept coming back to Enterprise because Ive always had a positive experience with Enterprise. The staff at every location is always very friendly and the Oakland location was certainly no exception. When I picked the car up, I was given a friendly greeting by every Enterprise employee I had contact with. When I dropped the car off, I was not only greeted but was thanked for my business by at least four different employees during the drop off procedure and as I walked to the airport shuttle. The process at pick up and at drop off is pretty painless and incredibly quick. I highly recommend Enterprise and the Enterprise Oakland location. They certainly seem to be doing it right by fostering a corporate culture of friendly outstanding customer service.

Comment: Enterprise is truly an unlimited mileage rental car company (with minor limitation), with superb service.I recently (March/2015) rented an economy car from the airport location for three weeks, and got a free upgrade (from a membership I had). The lady at the front counter was extremely polite, courteous, and very professional. Since car was reserved, very little paperwork was needed. I was there for no more than 3 minutes before the agreement was printed. I confirm with her manager(?) that the rental indeed has unlimited mileage since we were taking a tour across the west coast for three weeks. The only restriction was that the car stay in the US, you need to rent it from the airport location.Picking up a also another new experience for us. The lady at the lot was expecting us, greeted us with a big smile, and showed me at least 7 cars, and asked which one we prefer. This was unexpected, since rental car co. generally just give you what they assigned.Car was brand new, with less than 1000mi, and clean inside out. It also came with XM radio, which was a bonus on long road trip. You get ~20 useful channels. (news, musics, PBS...etc).Return was also a breeze. We finished our trip 1 day early, and decided to return the car early. To my surprise, Enterprise deducted 1 day of rental fee from our original contract. This has never happened to us with other major companies. Needless to say, this made us even more pleased with their service. Return was extremely efficient. The staff had a handheld printer, and printed our receipt (which already reflected the new total) while I was talking to her. Return took less than two minutes, and we did not noticed any other fees that some companies sometimes add on to your final bills.Every staff at the OAK airport location we encountered were superb. We will definitely use Enterprise again, and probably for all of our future car rental. Enterprise OAK Airport deserved a six star rating.

All the staff - from the front desk, to the person getting us to our rental car and then the person checking us in at the return were all very polite and attentive. Unusually courteous - given the lack of customer service these days. The staff at Oakland Airport deserve kudos for their efforts.

Comment: Extremely happy with rental experience. Surprised by initial intake - much faster completion with process. Same very rapid, simple selection of rental - actually offered a free upgrade since chosen model class was not available at the time of our apppearance at the rental lot. Our chosen auto was clean, no problems in operation. Return process was very fast and efficient. Cost of rental was entirely satisfactory. Enterprise is and will be definitely our first choice in future rentals

Comment: Picking up my reserved car was a breeze at Oakland International Airport. The guy at the counter was friendly and quickly directed me their car location. As I approached the Enterprise section I was greeted by a friendly young lady who escorted me to the proper car. After a walk around the car to check for existing damage I was on my way. Returning the car was equally trouble free. The full size Chevy Malibu was clean and ran well. I could have rented a cheaper car but chose Enterprise because they have proven themselves to rent reliable well maintained vehicles.

Comment: I really like Enterprise. The only issue I have is the car prices are usually a lot higher than what I want to pay but you do get what you pay for. At the Oakland airport I failed to get the womans name that helped me but she was super pleasant, helpful and made my car rental experience amazing. It was already proving to be a long night because my rental reservation through another company had fallen through so I was completely frustrated and tired. But Enterprise made it all better and the woman helping me really worked with me and got me exactly what I wanted and needed. I am definitely considering using enterprise way more often.

Comment: Do yourself a favor and use a different car rental service. My reserved vehicle (2days) was supposed to be $118. I show up to pick up my car and..... surprise $237. After finally talking to the manager and they didn’t offer any understanding I walked and used Avis for a much cheaper price.

Comment: This was the quickest and easiest car rental experience in my life. Literally, waited in line for 3 minutes, stepped to the counter, was handed my paperwork and instructed to go outside to get the vehicle. No sales pitch for additional insurance, no pushing of accessories, no making me feel stupid for not choosing their gas refill option (this happened with a competitor in Savannah a year earlier) - just pick up and go. Returning was equally as easy - will definitely continue renting from Enterprise!

Comment: In/Out was pretty quick and easy. Friendly staff person helped us get a sweet upgrade at a good price. The interior of the car was not as clean as I would have liked or expected. We never got the satellite radio to work, but when we called they took the charge off with no problem.

Comment: I work with an organization that has businesses all across the US so I find myself in many locations and we use Enterprise exclusively. Recently I went to the rental counter and checked in for my car. The agent was great and really tried to up sale me into an upgrade. Talking about how my company would want me to be in the upgraded car. I listened and then politely indicated that I would just keep my original reservation. When I went to the lot to actually load up and get on my way the outside agent took me to the upgraded vehicle and then told me they were out of my grade of car. So they then gave me the upgrade for my original reservation. Great I took the car and got onto my busy day. It hit me that the inside agent tried to get me to pay for something better so they could actually benefit from them not being able to provide the actual rental I had reserved. If enterprise was straight up when I walked to the front desk and told me we appreciate your business and your company using us all over the country we are going to upgrade you as a thank you. That would go a long way to lock me in as a dedicated Enterprise Customer and advocate. But now I realize I have got to watch Enterprise like and hawk to protect my company from being taken advantage of in the name of great customer service. Did Enterprise do anything wrong NO but they sure placed seeds of doubt in my mind and I will certainly be willing to entertain bids and offers from their competitors. When I brought this to the attention of one of the attendants upon my return they told me the front desk does not know what cars we have in the back! Ha Ha nice try, so you want to further try to fool me by telling me that Enterprise management is not smart enough to communicate their inventory from one desk to another that is literally 50 feet from each other. Comment: We flew into Oakland from Indiana. It was late, I was tired and a bit cranky. When I arrived at check in the service was quick and pleasant. I had reserved a full size car. Apparently, full sized cars are not really full sized. I am a full size person and need extra room not to mention a hip problem that makes it very painful to get in and out of low sitting cars. The employee saw that I was having an issue with the chosen car and upgraded me to a van, at no extra charge. I have been a loyal member of Enterprise for many years and will continue due to service like this. :)

Comment: One of the best rental car experiences Ive had in a while. The pick-up was very well done. They walked us out to the aisles and described the choices we had. All were good, but chose the brand spanking new Dodge SUV. The SUV was flawless.The car return was very easy. They had made little error in which credit card to charge. They took car of it and gave me a little credit on my charge. That was already more than necessary, but then they asked one of their employees to drive us to the airport terminal rather than wait for the next shuttle.The customer service was the best Ive seen from a rental car company.

Comment: What a great experience!!! My first encounter wS Mr. Skyler at the front counter. He greeted me with a welcome, a smile and a handshake. He got me squared away quickly and pointed me to the car lot. At the car lot the lady that assisted me was very friendly, engaged and helpful. I like the fact we inspected the car together before leaving the lot. Upon my return the young lady that assisted me was again very friendly and engaged. She asked me about my trip and about the car. She also got me squared away quickly. I was impressed to encounter a younger generation of people that assisted customers quickly and with kindness...that is a very rare trait these days. I think Enterprise may become my car rental spot. I hope all locations are this friendly. Thanks for a wonderful experience!

Comment: The people at the desk and checkout were incredibly helpful and friendly. The only problem is that the car only had 2 bars of gas (range 81 miles) when I picked it up, which I didnt notice until I was on the freeway heading away from the airport. I put $24 of gas into the car when I got to Berkeley. When I returned the car, they graciously offered to give me a voucher for free gas on my next rental. I declined (in a hurry) but I was impressed that they were willing to fix the situation without even asking to see my gas receipt. All in all, a fine experience.

Comment: I always use Enterprise for my personal and business rentals. After my experience with the Earhart Rd location, I might just change to a different company for my rental car needs.I made a reservation well in advance (one week). My flight was delayed by 3 hours so I called to inform them that I was still on my way and that I was just dealing with a flight delay. The person who answered the phone didnt even take my name or anything to ensure that a car would be there for me when I arrived, she only said well we are open til 10 so we will be here and then she hung up (since this was Saturday, her information wasnt even true as they close on 8 on Saturdays).So when I finally arrived at the location around 6pm, they did not have a car for me. They said it was being cleaned and would be ready in 10 minutes. I waited an hour. During this hour 3 different groups of customers arrived after me but were given cars almost immediately. At least one of these groups were given a vehicle that would have suited my needs. I had reserved a standard sized SUV and one of the groups had received what looked to be a Luxury crossover that was the same size as a standard sized SUV.Finally when they obtained a vehicle for me they promised 10% off as an apology for making me wait an hour. I gladly accepted. If they would have held to this promise then I would have given them at least 3 stars, however, when I returned the vehicle, they tried to charge me full price. I informed them that they had promised 10% off. The attendant went to her booth and returned with a new receipt showing a discount of $15 which is a discount of only 6.25% (base rental price of $240).

I checked in online prior to arriving that Saturday morning to the airport location and the woman that assisted me at the lot was extremely helpful. I forgot her name but I am returning next week to rent again and I will be sure to get her name to give her the well deserved recognition. Always a good experience when renting with Enterprise.
