Comment: I was on a month long journey after my May 4th wedding and Enterprise Rent-A-Car was there the entire way from Hilo Hawaii to Seattle, to Alaska, to California.My uncle passed away during my honeymoon. I flew from Hawaiito California, then to Alaska to get my dad from an Assisted Living facility for the funeral in Seattle.Just be prepared to have all of your money on one credit card, or a return plane ticket which was bought 24 hours previously, to show the sales people, or they WILL NOT rent a car to you with just a debit card. Also using several cards with your name on it wont work either.Sometimes we get exhausted from traveling and it took me a 20 minutes walkabout around the airport to figure out that I should just put money from my debit to my credit card so that I could rent a car immediately.Otherwise I had great service with fantastic cars to drive. We drove very long days and got great gas mileage. My father is 83 and we had a pleasant drive in a very comfortable car.

Comment: All the issues we had were on our part and we didnt realize that they dont take any kind of cash and theres a $300 deposit up front for the vehicle. I guess we should have read the fine line. Anyways, our experience was pretty great Jacob, who I believe is the manager was really great even through all the customers that came in and how busy they were. Even when some people started getting pretty upset, he kept his cool the whole time, which is very difficult when youre working in a customer service position. I dont fail. All employees were as friendly and helpful as Jacob was, but from the ones we interacted with, they were pretty friendly and helpful. We appreciate everyones patience. As I mentioned, all the issues that we were having were on mine and my husbands part so we appreciate it their time, their patience and their helpfulness.

Comment: The process to get my reserved rental was easy and straightforward. Jacob was the representative to talk about my insurance options, my fueling options, and the unlimited mileage that came with my rental. I was able to just drop off the car during my returning time, they didn’t charge me extra because my children got some crumbs on the floor, or even just some typical dirt from walking around. I’m apart of the enterprise plus membership and with that I am accumulating points for a free rental! The car that I had was a 2024 Nissan rouge, it was nice to drive something brand new, and the representative had thoroughly walked me through the features of the vehicle leaving time for questions. I wasn’t rushed to leave the office location or anything. I would recommend enterprise for anyone that is looking for a rental car, there is a deposit you have to put down, and depending on if you have insurance that have different options for you! I’m a young renter (under 25) so this as a option for me to feel 100% safe on the road and not to add more miles than needed to my new car has been the most beneficial.

Comment: I rented a SUV from the Enterprise in Redding and I was extremely impressed with the entire staff from pick up to drop off. When I arrived with my daughter, the line was very long, and our wait was about 20 minutes plus. However, the guy who helped us was VERY aware and communicated with us as well as ensuring that we were okay while waiting. He was very good with multitasking and knowing his customers personally. His helper even took our heavy luggage and loaded the car which was super nice. The night before I had to drop off the car, I ended up getting a stomach bug and I knew I didnt have the energy to fill up the tank (I should have taken care of it before I got back to the hotel). The morning of I called enterprise to explain what happened and asked if someone could come pick up the vehicle. They dropped off a guy at the hotel who got the keys from me and even wished me well to feel better. Keep in mind that car places do NOT have to do this and some actually will not go above and beyond. I thanked them and spoke with the manager later that week when I got back home and he ended up removing some of the charges since I was sick. Again long story but well worth it to explain how amazing this location is!!

Comment: I can only speak about the enterprise office in Redding because its the only one Ive dealt with. But if the others are anywhere like this one had willingly and happily seek them out in another town. Ive had to rent for a while now due to my other vehicle issue, but in all that time to the staff there at the office has been incredibly understanding and respectful, as well as optimistic. Ive dealt primarily with Matt, who has listened to my story and works me to insure I get the vehicle and value I need for my job. Likewise when I stop by to pickup or return my ride, each one of the staff is friendly and helpful. And dont forget there are some pretty busy mornings, yet someone always notices a new face walking in and lets said person know that he or she will be taken care of. Its one of professional and friendly courteous examples that other companies could follow. If I have to call, each person who answers, is able to assist and /or resolve my issue, be it with a credit or debit card, a upcoming reservation and even changing vehicles as I need. Its rare that I write any review, but having worked with this office and seen how they treat other customers, I am happy to rate them 5 dtars

Comment: Spent 20 minutes on my lunch hour looking for a parking spot. Once I was able to find one they did not have the car that I reserved (compact) but $15 dollars more a day they would give me a SUV. I was traveling to the LA area and reserved a car that would be good on gas mileage. I ended up paying an additional $10 more a day for a mid size. They were going to put me in a Malibu which had a huge golf ball sized shatter in the lower passenger windshield. I was told that it was safe to drive because it was just filled even though is was rough to the touch. I refused and asked about a different Malibu that was up front. The employee came back with the keys and they told they were not sure if it was safe to drive due to it needing to be maintained. I asked why it was out front with the other cars and got no response. I had to asked them what else they had and was eventually put in an different Malibu. What should of taken maybe 20-30 minutes took my entire lunch hour to get through.

Comment: Everything went very well, Im happy to say. And as far as the customer service aspect, I couldnt be more pleased. The Enterprise agent who assisted me with the pick up of my rental, was well trained and knowledgeable. I believe his name was Tyler. He suggested the best option for the gas reimbursement. Which helped me save a little time and money but more importantly, it was one less thing I had to worry about before returning the vehicle. With the help from Chris, dropping the vehicle off was quick and easy. He was there to assist me when I pulled up. I didnt have to go inside and wait in line or walk around and look for someone. He did a quick but thorough inspection. He asked if I had any problems and how comfortable I was renting with Enterprise. I have absolutely no complaints, it cant get any easier then that. Thanks to these two individuals, I look forward to renting with you again. AWSESOME JOB GUYS!!!

I went to pick up my rental car and due to MY lack of moving funds etc. I was asking the representative if I could put the deposit on one card and pay for the actual fee with a different card. He said No. I understood but was angry at myself and upset about having to drive to a secure location and move money around then come back and get the car. As I was leaving I said to the representative and to myself, “maybe I’ll just end up renting a car somewhere else”. The representative responded with, “yay, maybe you should rent a car somewhere else”. I stopped in my tracks and asked/“demanded” to speak to a manager. I spoke with the Manager, Mat. I told him what happened and he said he heard his representative tell me to go do my business elsewhere. I told the manager I had planned to come back but now I probably would not even when the manager said he would work with me. I told him thank you but No. I went to Avis and paid a little more then I would have at Enterprise but the ease of parking and the customer service was Super!! Even after my rental AVIS has been in touch with me and thanked me for choosing AVIS and I am so happy I did!!! Now AVIS will get my Monthly rental business. Long story short, Go to AVIS!

Comment: I was in an accident and not at fault. The other insurance company had a low amount allowed for a rental that would have been way smaller than my car. The guy who helped us check in called the insurance company and got us a larger amount so we would be comfortable in a car the same size as mine. He went out of his way to do this and was extremely helpful. I always have good experience at enterprise. The one time our car was not up to our standards in the past they made up for it with customer service! Always a pleasant experience

Comment: Obviously a very popular location, as they are usually very busy. Last time I used them, was for an insurance related issue. The attendant was very over assertive regarding needing the additional coverages. My credit card i was using had coverage protection, and the insurance company policy covered also, as they were paying the majority of the bill. Even though I declined the additional coverage, the attendant added it to the bill. Recommend knowing for certain if you need this coverage and then make sure they do not sneak it in before you sign off. They also tried to hide scratches on the trunk lid by having it opened when we arrived to the car to inspect it. I had to call them after the fact to tell them that we noticed it when we got home.

Comment: Please, dont just read my review. Search other low rated reviews before doing business with Enterprise. My story is similar to a few others on here. I was having work done at a dealership here in Redding, on my own vehicle. That dealership set up my rental through Enterprise so all I had to do was show up and pick up the vehicle. 3 weeks after I drop the vehicle back off at Enterprise, they charge my Debit card an additional $50.00 because they said the dealership wouldnt pay. 2 things about that. 1st, its not my problem. Enterprise has an agreement of some sort with Lithia. So when the two of them disagree on something, like a bill, they turn it back around on the customer to make it difficult on the customer, knowing it is now up to us (the customer) to get our money back.That is dirty pool, Enterprise. Not cool.Second. The employees are Enterprise will flat out lie to you about the cost of a vehicle and what they will actually charge you when it is all said and done.Do not do business with this company. What should have been a 1 day rental and a 50.00 total charge has turned into a 3 week nightmare where I have received 3 very unprofessional phone calls, wasted 4 additional hours of my time, and incurred 4 overdraft fees all becauseENTERPRISE CHARGED MY DEBIT CARD MORE MONEY 3 WEEKS AFTER THE TRANSACTION HAD CONCLUSED.Last thing. Have watched multiple people get cars before me and I have been sitting here waiting for over an hour and a half. I am a local business owner honestly cannot afford to be sitting around waiting for an hour and a half anywhere. Honestly have zero issue removing this review, if someone reaches out to try and make things right. Comment: When I got picked up by enterprise less then a hour before they closed at noon on a Saturday. I figured I would be in and out. Boy was I wrong! I walked in and it was standing room only. With only one person behind the counter. 2 maybe 3 others putting customers in there cars and 3 or 4 cleaning the cars that had been returned. Well I have never been any place that was that busy where there wasnt at least a couple of people who got rude with the person behind the counter. But Matt Amaral, kept a smile on his face as well as everybody in the store. If he hadnt been all smiles and interacted with everyone even if they werent the one standing in front of him I wouldnt bother writing this review. And when I brought the car back, I wasnt on the lot more than a couple of minutes and Chance Villavicencio had checked my car back in and I was inside enterprise free shuttle home in less than 8 mins. I was never given a call back. I extended my rental waiting on my insurance to payment to begin paying the bill and finally just returned the car because the sales rep wasnt understanding I had AAA. I looked at my invoice and with my work and AAA discount on was being charged $69 daily for an economy car ! Comment: I rented a vehicle from this company through my car insurance. I live in the mountains so I need 4 wheel drive. I originally got the the rental location where tried to put me in a truck that was making a serious screeching sound. I was like is that normal? Te female rep said oh I didn’t realize that noise is coming from this truck. I said yeah, I want a different vehicle. She then pulled out the only other 4 wheel drive option there which was a classic dodge with 1/4 tank of gas. She opened the door and said that someone was trying to cover up the smell of cigarette smoke and that is why the fragrance was so strong. She then stated if the smell was too bad to bring it back in a few days and switch out for another 4 wheel drive. I just dealt with it since I didn’t have the time. I return the vehicle and then get an invoice saying I Owe $150 cleaning of animal fur…this is a complete lie, I didn’t have one animal in my vehicle. They already had a deposit of $50 and then tried to charge my debit card $200. First off, even if I was guilty which I was not, how does a $150 cleaning fee charge amount to $250? Just curious. Second how is this company going to get and pin the cleaning fee on me when the person before was smoking cigarettes? This is so disgusting as a massive rental car company that makes millions. They have now threatened to send the money owed to collections. I will be taking this company to court if they don’t fix this issue. Stay away from this company. They also run Alamo and National Car Rental which they made me aware of after threatening to never let me rent again unless I pay their scam. Stay away

They had a full staff, all were friendly and happy. They upgraded my rental for no extra cost and the guy took the time to run the car through the car wash and show me all the features of the car and even made sure I could hook my Bluetooth up so I had my music.First review for first rental: I reserved online and picked up 30 minutes later! The lady was nice and professional. She wasnt super friendly, but then again it was 5 min till closing amidst the Corona scare. The car drove well and I returned after hours, which was easy. Overall a good experience.

Ive had to rent a vehicle off and on for many months and so have experienced their services many times and they are consistently good. The manager of this office, Matt, is particularly helpful and kind. The only negative experience has been that on particularly busy days no one will answer the phone at the office. My last rental, an economy car, which was reserved two weeks in advance. Checked in, waited only a few minutes, the agent approached me with the key. We proceeded outside to a group of 11 vehicle. The agent started pressing the alarm to locate said vehicle. With no response. I was directed to have a seat indoors while the search continued. 24 minutes later Im told the only vehicle available is a Chevy Tahoe. Which is a LARGE vehicle. That scenario has occurred 8o% of the time and Im a fairly frequent customer.

The one in Sacramento, who told me it was a malfunction of the sonar sensors and that it would be fine for a cross country trip to Oklahoma. I made it to New Mexico before the back tire blew out on I40 when I changed the tire I realized both rear tires were bad and splitting with wires showing g 😐 thank God for Armorillo enterprise they were open late and replaced the car and got my family into a safer car immediately. Comment: A day prior to my rental I called the Redding, CA location to schedule and confirm a pickup. I provided my number and address and was told that I’d receive a call about 30mins prior to pickup. At 9:30am the day of my pickup, I called this location to get an ETA. I was told the driver would arrive in 15-20mins. Over 30mins later, no driver so I called to the location back. I was told the that the shuttle driver had just left to come pick me up - the location was 2.1 miles (or 6-8minutes) away. Over 30mins later - still no ride. In short, I waited over 90mins and the driver never showed. I eventually was able to get a ride to the location. When I arrived, the two employees assisted everyone in the line but me. One person in line needed a ride back and was told it would only take about 10mins, so this location definitely offers rides - apparently only to certain customers. Eventually I was the only person in line - and someone finally asked if I had been helped.I informed the receptionist that the shuttle never called or showed up - there was no apology, explanation and barely an acknowledgment of my statement. I missed an extremely important meeting that nearly ruined a commercial relationship with a long term client. I’m an employee for a company that I own, and didn’t have my corporate cards on me - the receptionist was extremely rude and made several snarky remarks seemingly questioning my authority to use the corporate account- I was dressed very unassuming in sweatpants and a jacket, I presume my humble attire, and not my skin tone, was the reason for how blatantly disrespectful the employees at this location were. The employees at this location could benefit from cultural competency & professionalism training. It is never ok to stand up a customer, what a complete waste of my time.

We needed a rental while our car had some work done and I could not believe the condition of the vehicle they gave us. It was covered in scrapes, scratches and dings.There was so much dirt and grime on the inside that we had dirt marks on our clothes when we got out of the car, multiple times. There was an odor from it being so dirty. We tried to take it back to trade it in and instead they just took it back and re-vacuumed it. My husband still had to clean it after that when he brought it home. The next day we noticed the oil change light was on and the left tail light was out. So we had to call back and tell them we wanted a different car. Comment: The Redding, CA facility is by far one of the worst rental facilities. My company uses National and there is not a National in Redding as a result I am stuck with Enterprise Rental. The requested vehicle is never available upon arrival so they try to stick me something else. The employees are not knowledgeable nor provide exceptional customer service. They ask for proof of business yet it is on the credit card used that ask to see; very idiotic. The vehicles are not provided with a full tank of gas and the windshields are not cleaned inside or out; in addition the vehicles are claimed to be washed but they look as though they are quickly sprayed with a low pressure.On hold for over 10 minutes then the call is disconnected.

Comment: Our car broke down in the middle of a trip. We were very happy with our rental. At the dealership, we were set up with a rental car. We spent the night in a hotel since no cars were available that afternoon. Since we had to check out of the hotel, we were picked up with all our things and could wait at the rental office. We were able to get coffee and snacks. We were upgraded to a bigger car because of all our stuff. Everything went smoothly, and we even got helped getting our things outside to load up the car. All in all, we couldnt be happier with the service!

Comment: My reservation said to pick up the car at 12:00 noon on Saturday. I figured that I could roll in after 12:00 noon and pick up the car. I got there about 2:00 pm and the location was closed. Their Saturday hours are 9:00 am to 12:00 noon. The fine print on the reservation said the the customer should arrive 15 minutes prior to the reservation time and that they close at 12:00 noon on Saturday, but it still seems like they had me cutting it close either way. The info about the early close on Saturday should be more prominent on the reservation. I needed the car for a business trip where I had to be 300 miles away and arrive no later than 7:00 am on Monday. Maybe I could get the car on Sunday? Nope, they ate closed on Sunday. Epic fail.

Comment: I definitely won’t be going back. The man that picked us up from Hild collision to get our rental car was amazing. When I got to enterprise they gave me the wrong car I did not reserve this car. They told me that they would contact me when they had a replacement. If I would’ve known they were giving me this car I would have never agreed. It was 4 seats and it stunk!! Lol They never called me I instead called them finally got a replacement. I was happy with the replacement. Although it appears the car was in an accident there were a couple of dings (numbered used parts on car) And a Check engine light on. I planned a trip with the kids.. On Christmas I was notified that my card was compromised I had to report fraud and order a new card. Also my car was not ready to be picked up yet two weeks later. So I went to extend my rental. They were horrible they did not help me at all !! Between a rock and a hard place! They had all my bank account information they had a $200 deposit but they wouldn’t even extend me for two days until the new card came. Also tried to keep my $200 deposit. I asked to speak to a manager this lady in the front said “I am the manager for two weeks.” She laughed at me. 😩😤I was really upset crying our little Christmas vacation ruined. Turo has way better cars anyways. Just found a 2022 Tesla for like $80 a day 😳🥰

Comment: I reserved a full size pickup truck online. When I went to pick it up they didn’t have any. They said it was because of additional demand due to the fires. I can fully understand that may be true. What I don’t understand is why their website let me reserve a truck that was not available. If I had known that I would have explored other options at the time I was searching for a rental car. Staff did not seem to care about the inconvenience. Also, the confirmation email said that they would pick me up at a specified location and time. They did not do so. I had to call them when they didn’t show up and they sent a driver who arrived fifteen minutes or so later. That also would have been fine if they told me that in the email. I don’t understand why they would give incorrect information in the email and think that is OK. Other than that, the car was fine and returning it went smooth.

I made a reservation for a truck, but on the the day I was supposed to get it, they called me that morning to tell me they did not have any trucks, which really nice to let me know ahead of time instead of walking in later that day to be surprised. Comment: This last time renting with Enterprise will most likely be the last time for me, unfortunately. Not only was the experience with the vehicle they rented me poor (issue with defrost system, had to drive with the windows down to be able to see - in the cold... and service warnings continued popping up over the two days we had the car), but I mistakenly left a few items in the center console when I returned the vehicle. Upon realizing about 48 hours after return, I called them to ask about those items, and spoke to Fernando (?). I was told there was nothing left in the lost and found so they must have thrown them out. I expressed that somebody should have called me to come pick them up. He said he would check with the staff to make sure, and we would go from there. As I began to respond and ask for a call back, click, the line went dead. He hung up on me!?Between the poor vehicle and poor customer service, I most likely will take my rental needs elsewhere, next time.

Comment: Worst customer service I ever encountered!!!!!...My holidays were ruined due to these people. I had a DUI a year ago. My drivers license had a whole punch. I showed them the paperwork that my license was still valid. That all charges were actually dropped. On the principle alone I never went to the DMV to get my drivers license renewed. The staff at enterprise refused to acknowledge the paperwork stating that my license was indeed VALID.The paperwork they wanted was something I’ve never heard of. Regardless, even though I had all of the documentation to prove I was a valid driver in the state of California. And even knowing that I’ve rented a car through them before with the EXACT same license, they refused me....They will continuously say: “unfortunately...(blah, blah, blah)”....Not only that but I notice it’s fairly poorly managed. They have no care for the Americans with disabilities act, as I Was walking out I noticed that their enterprise trucks were completely blocking the wheelchair accessible route. What a shame. Comment: Saturday I rented a car that was through my car insurance and was treated nicely. I left with the car, but had to return it 15 min later due to the high speed fan wouldnt turn off. They gave me 2 others to choose from and neither one works for me, but had to get one. Comment: My last experience with getting a rental was different from previous times. This last time around seemed like I was being rushed through the process between multiple employees, like they were wanting to leave, and the customer service aspect wasnt there. As I was being shown the vehicle I was getting, I could barely hear and understand the guy who was helping me, as I mentioned above about feeling rushed. When it came to the gas/fuel part, the vehicle was close to empty but not empty. I remember him saying on multiple occasions that he was putting it in the system as leaving empty and to bring back empty. So when I returned from my trip, I brought it back with a little more than empty, about the same amount as when I got it. Well when I got my official bill/receipt, I saw that they charged me to put fuel in the vehicle, 1 gallon at $4.88, ridiculous.

Comment: I was in an accident in Red Bluff. Called to get a car and told them Red Bluff. They did not say anything about Red Bluff office being closed just said to be here by 5. So we call and talk to Trevor. He says oh yes come on up we will be here. Trevor also said we could have any car on the lot. When we got there the girl was rude. We asked how long the wait would be and she replied no clue that they were trying to scrounge up cars. After waiting half an hour we asked to speak with Trevor. We were told he was on crutches and so if it wasn’t important they would rather not get him. We asked to speak to him anyway and had just seen the guy on crutches walk in and he had parked right in front of us. Well suddenly the guy comes out and says sorry Trevor has left for the day. Funny because his car was still there and there he would have to walk right by us to leave. After waiting for over an hour out you can pick anything on the lot turned into we have one mini van sorry. They just took my keys when we returned and never checked the car in my present. The only problem I had was the windshield and media screen inside the car had a film on them that made it hard to see out of, especially when the sun hit it. Also when I vacuumed the car out before returning it I found a Pepsi can, aluminum gum wrapper, a white pill a small piece of meat (maybe bacon) and a straw wrapper under the seats which I showed the agent that checked it back in.Other than that I enjoy renting from Enterprise. I asked where exactly I was to pick the car up in red bluff ( I selected red bluff online ) he said oh no you have to go to Redding. Which is out of my way. I would of had no idea if I hadnt called. So I go pick up the car I reserved and had to wait 1 1/2 hours just to get it. I understands they maybe short staffed but to take that long to hand me keys! I got a major runaround because Enterprise would not accept either of my debit cards as forms of payment on the rental I shouldnt have even had to get. So because I didnt have a CREDIT card they were not going to let me rent the car that an insurance company was going to pay for. The woman that initially helped me was not at all helpful, not at all understanding, and a little bit rude. Comment: Over the last year and a half i’ve rented from enterprise 30+ times, mostly out of washington state. i have returned one way rentals to this location previously and not had any issues. however, i secured a one way rental from this location this time, returning it at a different location. they charge a higher deposit than most other enterprise locations. i have bank records to show this. they lie when you ask about the policy, stating first that all enterprise locations charge a $200 deposit with the use of a debit card, and then after being challenged, changed the narrative to “locations set there requirements individually.” that was also a lie according to the manager i spoke with. after returning my vehicle, and calling the pickup and drop off locations, i was informed that everything was fine with the drop off and i would be getting my receipt. two days passed, after calling 4 times, i finally got my receipt and also found out they were still holding my deposit and hadn’t closed out my rental. why? because comments said the car smelled smokey? and nobody told me this? i don’t smoke. period. manager gives me several excuses, lies to me more about their CALIFORNIA “policies,”. and releases my deposit. every person i spoke with at this location was rude and uniformed about their companies own policies outside of their precious redding location. do yourself a favor and don’t bother with these people. customer service isn’t a priority, taking your money and holding it is! they get two stars for filling the car up with gas before i left after i asked for it.

Comment: The only place I go to rent a car. Im a big fan of Enterprise in general but I like this store a lot. They always find a way to make it work. It seems the website is what causes most of the problems. Theyll allow you to make a reservation without knowing if that specific car type will be available. Ive seen many people get upset over it. Comment: Enterprise provides great service at competitive rates. They reliably provide clean, newer model cars. One complaint, they need to clean the inside of their windshields more frequently. Have had several rentals where the glare on the dirty windshield from low sun or approaching headlights makes it very difficult to see the road. Its a potential safety hazard, particularly with my frequent trips through deer country.

Comment: The staff was friendly. I waited over 30 minutes to get my car, even though I had a reservation. When I finally got my car, the outside had been “washed”, but the interior of car was dirty. I drove about a mile down the road when the maintenance required light came on. I returned to the dealership and waited another 20 minutes to get another car. The interior was cleaner in this car. About 4 hours into my trip another maintenance required light came on. I called the dealership and was assured all would be ok. They stated that their maintenance does not always correspond with the manufactures recommendation. When I returned from my trip, I sent and email to Enterprise to let them know about my experience. I received a response stating some one would be contacting me. Unfortunately, this never happened. I am very disappointed with my experience and will try Avis or Hertz the next time I need to rent a car.

Comment: I gave 3 weeks+ notice on my rental request for the time period from June 22nd to July 15th, explaining that I was going on a 3 week trip and would be traveling approximately 5,000 miles round trip and would like a newer, low mileage vehicle that was serviced prior to my trip. I requested a specific vehicle type and was told they could not guarantee that request and I understood but they said they would do their best. I called the office prior to picking up the vehicle on June 22nd to let them know that I would be about an hour late picking up the car and I was told they had the vehicle I requested and that all was good. When I arrived at the office the vehicle requested was no longer available and that I would have to choose from what they had available in the size range I wanted. My choices were higher mileage or a lower mileage vehicle that I would have to have serviced at some point during my trip. I chose the Nissan Rogue and I will have to say that it was an excellent car with great gas mileage but I did have to interrupt my trip to have it serviced. Other than having to take the time to have it serviced, the transaction was no trouble at all. I did return the car 1 day early and was credited the rental cost of that day. Overall, I will continue to rent through Enterprise Car Rental in Redding, CA. We have a company fleet account with them as well as renting vehicles for personal use and have been mostly pleased with their service.

Comment: We have rented a number of cars thru Enterprise on Cypress Ave. Every vehicle has exceeded our expectations. They have all been late model vehicles in exceptional condition. Last time was a 2018 Nissan maxima loaded. I was Ill so my wife drove. That was great because it gave me the chance to play with all the tech toys!Their rates are competitive. I think we paid $30/day for the maxima.My daughter is driving one of their vehicles now. They picked her up in their shuttle service and in less than an hour she pulled up in a bright shiny Nissan Altima. We use them exclusively as over all the years weve not had one issue or bad experience. You cant say that about many businesses these days.

Comment: I am an Enterprise Plus member and had an emergency situation and needed a car to travel from Redding CA to Reno NV. Because I was not anticipating purchasing a large ticket item, I didnt take my credit card on my vacation, only my debit. When I explained this to the staff, they made no attempts to help me out. They only refused the debit card. I since learned that they could have contacted the home office and gotten a waiver form signed that would have been accepted. There was no offer of assistance, even though I was clearly in distress. I have always had great service from you, I even purchased my last car from Enterprise car sales. I will also file a complaint with the home office.

I had to return a car from the Sacramento Airport that stunk like cigarettes and they furnished me with another vehicle right away.They came to pick me up at my hotel this time and called and asked if they could be early! Comment: For one they dont fill up fuel before they give you a car, mine had 1/4th of a tank.Second, I Had to wait 30 minutes for them to clean the vehicle, which showed up soaking wet and still dirty. Then they the ask me to find dings and dents on a wet vehicle.Since they didnt dry off the windows and were all water spotted I had to stop and clean them myself so I could see out of them. They should have left the outside dirty and detailed the inside it was filthy inside.

Comment: Reserved a car two days ahead of time, and confirmed by phone that morning. Was late to pick up, and was told they gave the car out to someone else. When I complained they told me it was my fault. I asked what the point of a reservation and a phone confirmation was, and they didnt have an answer. Not only that, but they were rude in the process. They needed to send the entire staff to a customer service Workshop.

Comment: Service isnt bad but wait times to get your vehicle are a bit on the slow side. The past 2 or 3 times they didnt have my car ready or didnt have the car at all that I reserved. They did upgrade me to the next size up which was nice. The car was clean but as far as options or choices of car forget it.

Comment: Traveling around the country in an RV as part of our retirement plans, we have been using Enterprise almost exclusively for rentals. The Redding location was fantastic in their service. Pick up and drop off was easy and quick. All of the staff were great as always. Never a complaint.

Comment: Update: After I reported my situation through their corporate website, I got a call from a Manager and my situation was made better. So I changed my rating to okay. I may rent with them again.Most pathetic rental car customer experience of my 40 years as a traveller. They tell you one thing and do another. Josh, the manager doesnt seem to be aware that his staff is not paying attention to people returning cars, or that a car they will rent is so below par with dirty brown spots on seats and scratches already on the paint, or that his staff say and promise one thing, and do something completely else. They fully charged me but gave me a huge problem in getting back my whole deposit which is ridiculous because I gave in my car EARLY. SAD. STAY AWAY. I only rented with them because of the Discover 5% off and upgrade coupon. Well not only did fail to give me an UPGRADE, I got charged more than expected. I will also be reporting this to Discover so that Discover will know better in picking promotional partners.

Comment: I rent from Enterprise frequently, approx once a month at least, and I love that the cars are always new and mostly clean, but I have only gotten the care I requested one time, and that was just because it happened to be sitting out front when I arrived and jumped on the opportunity to get it. Otherwise, not once have I gotten the car requested, for anniversary, birthday, a couple other occasions that would have been a little nicer had we gotten the car requested for the trip we were taking. The prices are reasonable, especially now that I have reached Gold status and get extra cheap weekend rates. I have been charged extra charges for having to detail the vehicle after a 3 week rental??? $100.00 on top of a 700.00+ car rental fee!!! So yes the cars are nice, comfortable to drive, but watch out for the hidden things they throw in the loop right at the end, they arent usually cheap.

Comment: Overall experience was good except that mistake this was the first time the entire charge plus a deposit was charged to my card at the time of pick-up. Also, the young lady who checked us out did not take into account that we were upgraded because our car was not available so even upon returning I was told that I owed more money. At this time it took 15 minutes and two people to figure out why this happened. Because of the initial charge, I spent most of my vacation with $800.00 less than I expected to have.

Comment: Excellent service and great vehicles reliable, clean and never a problem. Reserve online or over phone never had an issue. The cars are smoke free, clean and dependable to drive. Their fleet are newer vehicles and very nice for long distance or around town. They do offer a shuttle service to pick you up or drop you off also which makes it nice when needed. The drivers are friendly and professional. Overall a great experience each time Ive rented vehicles.

The gentleman that helped me also wanted to make sure i knew how to use all the “bells and whistles” on my rental. I am looking forward to renting again from them next month.

Comment: I needed to rent a car so mine could be repaired. Enterprise was very helpful when I needed to change the return date twice due to the time needed to complete repairs on my car. I would have rated this five starts, except this car was the dirtiest I have ever driven. The inside of the car was so dusty/dirty, I simply could not believe it. I have and will continue to use Enterprise, but someone should be paying better attention to their check in or check out procedures.

Comment: I made my reservation online. When I went in that morning, I was met by my counter person who in all honesty did her job well, but was not in the least bit upbeat or friendly. The car was great as usual, the experience was good, just surprised with her lack of customer service? I have not rented here in a few years, used to rent here frequently and with my cars now getting up there in mileage, I will need your services more often again.I will still come back, but honestly would a smile or even a thank you been that hard to do?

Comment: Got a Camry. Had to bring it back because it had tire issues. Then they gave us a Dodge Dart. Worst car ever. I didnt like driving it at all. I tried to return it. Was told to come back next day, they would have something saved for me. Come back and talked to Anna Barker and she said her computer was showing next car to come back at 11am. She would call me soon as the car came back. Gave her my number. It was around 10 am, only 1 other customer aside from myself. 11:30 rolls around. No call still. I call back and got sorry weve been busy all day and I cant grab you a car before they go out the door. I tell her I have stuff to do and cant wait around after she tells me she will call me back as soon as something comes in, so she tells me she will save me something. I said I would come back the following day, to which she said that would work for her, just make sure to call back an hour ahead. So next day, I call back and talk to someone named Jesse. He tells me no car was saved, theyve been busy all day and that he couldnt do anything about it. He also said, all he could do was put his hands up and say I dont know what to tell you. He then tells me that he will call me back as soon as something comes in. Which he doesnt. Finally after a week, I get a different car. The dodge dart they gave to someone soon after we brought it back, didnt clean it and in the time weve been waiting for the different car, spat the same weve been busy all day line to at the least 5 customers.

Comment: Love this location! Wont rent a car anywhere else. Their entire staff is always on point, and willing to go the extra mile for you. From letting you return the rental an hour late with no charge. To upgrading your car for free when the first car you received had minor issues so you returned it for a new one. I once had their shuttle driver give me a ride back home after dropping the car off 5 minutes before they closed. He was supposed to be off work but stayed and gave myself and another customer a ride home. Best car rental agency in town.

I was able to drive the car out-of-state. I found no hitch in the checkout or check-in process. The lower rate for a week-long rental met my needs. Comment: Horrible service! Just picked up a car this morning. They gave me a Toyota camry that had not been cleaned at all. The floors were not vacuumed, dash was dusty, and the outside of the car was scratched and extremely dirty. I mentioned this to Brandon who was handling my paper work. He had someone go spray the car off with nothing but water. Which does not clean the car at all. And he didnt even have it vacuumed out. He seemed very irritated when I asked him to make notes of all the issues with the car and argued with me, but finally ended up writing all the stuff down. I had to go to a car wash and spend $20 to wash and vacuum the car. This enterprise rental location is absolutely unprofessional and lazy!

Comment: We booked a car on line, however, we arrived late and the store was closed! (No courtesy call to see if we were on our way, or this would be a 5 star rating.)The phone service was no help. However, as it happened, one of the store workers came out to collect keys from the drop box and though it was after hours, put our paperwork through and gave us a car.The car was new, did everything we needed it to, and it got us there and back for the best price I could find on line.Easy transition without drama or that feeling like youre a criminal under inspection, when the car is looked over upon return.
