Comment: The delivery staffs refused to drop the HWH unit behind the construction gate (20 from the street sidewalk). Their reasons were that we did not have cement surface and they did not have a dolly.My superintendent said he could help carrying it in from the sidewalk but he needs at least one person to help. The two delivery men said NO and watched my superintendent and the homeowner (77 year old man) to carry this HWH unit (about 125 pounds) to the appropriate location.I later the called the company and encountered two unpleasant experience due to their rigid policy. I had to have a tracking number in order for them to conversed with me since they said they could not track who were the staffs by having me to provide the delivery address (for God sake, their business is to delivery stuffs to places with addresses). The third phone call was much more pleasant with a gentleman named Roberto who said he would related this matter to the upper management after confirming both the address and our later provided tracking number after we did our search. Why do I give one star? If it was not Roberto and if the review system would allow me to put minus 2 stars, I would.

Comment: Probably worse than Roadrunner freight. Be advised if you pay for 3-day select, that means 2 weeks. And they pawn an extra palet under yours, for you to get rid of. These bad practices will dissolve any of their efforts over the long run!

Comment: Their driver physically threatened me in front of witnesses. And he was driving an enterprise rent a truck with a different company’s name on his shirt so this company is totally shady.If that wasn’t bad enough, when he told me he was drag and drop, I got a dolly. When he said the item was too heavy and I said that’s all I have he said (all witnessed) “that’s not my problem,” and started to t leave with my item. Someone from my building came to help and the driver locked up his truck stating “I don’t need this” and wouldn’t tell me his name. The building guy had me sign for the item (I guess he got the maniac driver to to give him $100 to help me beforirt he to physically advance on me (witnessed). “SAY IT AGAIN!” A building guy had to hold him back. I use a cane and I was seated and sobbing —a real threat. He kept physically advancing on me yelling “SAY IT AGAIN!” When I said don’t come closer or I’ll call the police, he yelled “REFUSED!” Drew an angry line on the paperwork and stalked away.Terrifying. Not even sure this is a legitimate company is the driver wears a different company’s shirt and drives a rented truck. Scary. Am contacting the BBB

Comment: I ordered multiple large products (bathtub, vanity, countertop, etc.) through home depot which uses estes delivery as their shipper. Each product came broken and smashed... even 2 solid quartz countertops. I had to return it and re-order from companies that use a different shipper.Also, twice they tried to deliver products that required signatures a day earlier than what they stated on the tracking, so no one was home to accept the delivery which even prolonged the time I had to wait to receive the items ... which were eventually delivered BROKEN.Estes delivery is probably the worst shipping company ive ever dealt with. Sorry, home depot is losing probably thousands or even millions a year using this company for their products.

Comment: This is NOT the place you would want to work! The terminal Manager Ruperto Macapagal does not know how to do his job and has certain employees he favors. The Outbound Operations Supervisor Daniel Tobar does not know how to be professional with his employees, he will let certain employees he is friends with hang out in the office, take long breaks and not do any work.Daniel Tobar is also a bully to the employees he does not care for and will belittle them on the dock while they are working.Complaints have been made to Maya Mendoza the HR Regional Manager of how the employees are being treated and nothing has been done.This company really needs better management all around.

Comment: Driver acknowledge the damage of the crate & took photo during delivery. I failed to have him write down the information. I called about the damage and the company and said the guy no longer worker there after 2 weeks of the delivery date. Unfortunately, I didnt know that Im supposed to have the driver to write down the damage on the paper, the company wont honor any claim. Unethical & dishonest company! Dont use them!!!

Comment: Terrible customer service! There were specific directions for my order to be delivered to my door, but the driver insisted on curbside pickup for a huge pallet! The packaging was also partly damaged. One of the worst freight delivery services I have ever dealt with.

Comment: Always late. Estimated deliveries are always changing. Its funny how shipments you are not expecting arrives at a decent time and shipments you are expecting are always late.Its also silly that when you call to track with your shipment, the automation prompts you to enter your tracking number a couple times, but when you select to speak to an associate, the person answering asks for the tracking number again. How many times do I need to repeat it?If you want anything delivered on time, select to have a guaranteed delivery date. Often, another business contracts Estes to delivery for them, and generally, a guaranteed delivery is not selected to save money. Despite that, if there is an estimated delivery provided, it should be delivered by EOD that day or at east provide a truly realistic delivery date.

Estes responded by sending Sal after my product from Home Depot was stranded in Manteca Ca warehouse.THANK YOU

Comment: Worst shipping experience ever! These guys have absolutely NO clue. My package was originally supposed to be delivered on the 18th, then it was the 22nd, then they promised me the 24th, but instead of bringing it to me they sent it to another Estes terminal 100 miles away. 2 hours after the appointment time I call them we dont have any appointment for this, were sending it back (right where it was before, 5 miles from me.)Truly incompetent. And their tracking system stinks too. They rattled off the right address and phone number, you would have THOUGHT hours after the delivery window came and gone they could have called... but nooooo. Never again with these clowns. Never.

Comment: Estes, is a reliable freight company of which I use everyday for my shipping purposes. They are careful with your freight with little to no damage being done to customer orders, and the pricing is affordable. My Sales Rep Lanse Nordstrom is awesome. They usually get the product to customer within 1 day of service.

Comment: Ordered 26 boxes of hardwood flooring from Home Depot. When I contacted Home Depot to check on the delivery status, it was still en route to Estes from the initial carrier. They told me to expect a call from Estes to schedule a delivery. I never received that call to schedule. The driver showed up today without notice. I happened to be home, so I asked him if he could deliver the flooring to the back of my house (where it would be covered) because of the rain. He stated that he wasnt allowed to. Strange policy since every large item I’ve ever ordered from Home Depot or Lowe’s has been delivered to the back without hesitation. Then he couldnt get the pallet off the truck, so he removed the shrink wrap and moved half the boxes one by one. Now I have 26 boxes of wood flooring sitting on my driveway in the rain without at least shrink wrap to protect it. Im home alone with my 1 year old, so my husband has to leave work early to get it out of the rain. Home Depot, if you’re reading this, shift your business dollars to another carrier.

Comment: UPDATE - finally did get delivery 2 weeks later after contacting the email left below by their social team. BUT driver cracked my neighbors cast iron mailbox and refused to show identification or insurance information and drove off. Told me to contact the company. Im giving photos to my neighbor and advising him to contact the police and file a hit and run. Worst company ever.Not sure who gives this place more than one star review? (insiders?) So far the experience with a bathtub deliver from home depot has been horrible. Guy shows up with a large 550lbs crate and a hand truck. No Lift Gate. Total no go. Tracking gets updated to delivery attempted - no receiver personal - WHAT? Did not know I needed to hire a crew to get it off his truck. But then nothing. I call 4 days later (takes about an hour to get answers here) and Im told they did not know it was NOT delivered. So now that we know.. we will ship it back to our main facility and a new delivery will be attempted. Expect a phone call in some time. Feels real solid! Just like UPS right?

Comment: Ordered 30 boxes of decking tile from the Home Depot. Estes lost the first delivery, which took me 4 hours on the phone and a week to figure out. Then, after HD discounted the order and reordered it, it took Estes 2 weeks to contact me for delivery after it arrived in San Leandro (less than ten miles from my house). The customer service agents at the San Leandro location were the most incompetent and unreliable I have ever dealt with. Avoid Estes.

Comment: Your San Francisco (San Leandro, CA) terminal is a lousy joke and no one there can do their job correctly. I would assume when your terminal receives the truck load from the original location, if the BOL supposedly has a call to schedule appointment noted, wouldnt you think itll be the right thing to do is to have someone call the consignee to set that up? Your dispatcher/worker sure as hell does not from this location. I called Friday to ask for delivery time with disclosing my PRO #, the customer service rep sounded confused and said I never setup an appointment. Funny, I never had to setup an appointment, ALL of my shipments have time crucial so it would go out ASAP. The CS said she will remove the appointment needed and itll go out on Monday. Monday comes around, no shipment again. I called and the person said the same thing, the shipment needed an appointment. I asked why do I need to setup an appointment when it has been there since Friday and NO ONE has called me? This is unacceptable and ESTES is at fault. Within the past few months to year, my company has received 50-60 pallets from you guys, NONE required an appointment, and all of a sudden the one pallet STILL at your guys terminal does, but no one has the audacity to call us to schedule said appointment. By the way, thank you for regularly sending the wrong size truck (or truck without lift gate) to my facility, despite the BOL always being correct 100% saying liftgate and 27 or less is needed for delivery to this address. You guys just lost another customer as I have told the shipper to not use you guys anymore.

Comment: We had a delivery scheduled, our product was not delivered to us. When we called the following day, we were told they could not confirm when our product would be delivered the following day. We said we would pick it up & were told we could not pick it up because it was buried in their trailer. This delay in delivery & their inability to work with us, cost us a delay in completing our project on time. I do not recommend using this company.

Comment: Worst shipping company I have literally ever worked with. Dont hold your breathe trying to call a lady named Ruby. We called this lady literally 7 times, to schedule a pickup and never got an answer. Left messages and still no reply or call back. Customer service is a joke with this location. After I finally called the operator line and got a hold of the supervisor. I was asked to come pickup the item myself that they are getting paid to deliver.....smh. This package is needed to be delivered in a truck. Which I do not have. Which also is why this company is suppose to deliver this item! This isnt the first 1 star review that was left. So I hope people who decide to read these reviews see if they should use this company, or a better one that knows how to use or answer a phone. Im having to now not only go rent a truck and drive out there to get my package, but now have to extend my rental and pay more money so the body shop can finish my car, all because this lady dont have the decency to answer her phone or call someone back. Its a shame, and I would be embarrassed if I was them not being able to stand by my business and word. Good Luck to this company I hope Ruby carries herself better than she does answering the phone....
