This place was awesome. We went snowmobiling and had a blast on the trails we rented our snowmobiles. Curlys bar we awesome as well drinks and food were yummy. If you can read a map you can get through the trails its a big circle. Just keep track of your gas and where the gas stations are.
May 2022- Do not buy their Groupon. When you attempt to use it they will tell you they are all booked up.*Update 7/3/22.Thank you! Evergreen Golf Resort has totally redeemed themselves and due to backlog last year has been able to book my GroupGolfer in 2022. Great service over the phone.
Just watch your bank statement to make sure you’re not charged twice. It’s a hassle to reach management and have it fixed. Problem was resolved and finally reached the manager a week later. I want to have a good experience here but it just was not that and I’m a little bummed.
Prepare to walk to get to the pool..was clean..kinda irritating they give one pool towel per guest..seemed pretty for the cost of the room..breakfast was over played..staff was good throughout the motel..ice machines are sparse..place could use some updates but wasnt terrible..
This place is very dated and needs major renovations. To begin, the sports bar and grill were not open the two days we were there. The bathroom fan did not work…not good when four people sharing a room. As mentioned on another review, the toilet paper holder was all rusted. The door hinge on a cabinet was busted, wallpaper was coming off the wall, the lighting on the room was so bad you basically couldn’t see much. The adjoining door to our room looked as if someone had tried to break in several times. No maps available at check in so we could find our way around. Last, people next to us were living in the place and garbage was outside the door the entire two days we were there. I will definitely not be back and will not recommend this place. This was far from a “resort”.
Stayed here.Service is bad.Was there for 5 days no housekeeping service.Claim they dont do stay overs rooms due to covid.I requested it that night and next day.No house keeping.Said was short of help.No excuse. Can always double up on the room cleaning.I cleaned my room for two nights.Asked to speak to manager. She want be in until that Tuesday.I was checking out that Monday.I think I should get a discount for cleaning the room. But thats ok.I want stay there again I dont recommend this hotel to any one.
I stayed in the king suite with a jacuzzi in the room but the room just felt like any other ordinary hotel room and the jacuzzi has to go through this cleaning cycle that is incredibly loud and annoying. Not really what I was expecting for a king suite. Probably wont come again.
We were excited to revisit this resort where our son and daughter-in-law got married 4 years ago. While a little further away from where we planned to spend our time, the nostalgia drew us back. Evergreen still offers a beautiful setting and a very helpful and friendly staff (front desk, housekeeping, breakfast/restaurant). However, we were disappointed with some of the elements of our supposedly renovated king room. We remembered the room being a bit dark from our last stay and it still was. But what really stuck out was the very rusty toilet paper holder stand and the wooden bathroom vanity that needed repair. We reported these to the front desk, showing pictures, and was told the toilet paper holder would be replaced. It was not. Clearly a maintenance issue, not housekeeping, although it would not be too much to expect that the person cleaning the room would realize that a rusty toilet paper stand should be replaced. Is this a result of lack of staff due to COVID? Would we return again to Evergreen? Maybe if we were in the area. Almost a 4 rating.
Not a good weekend. Purchased a Golf Package along with 24 others, and it wasnt good. Packaged included breakfast and supper, plus golf. Breakfast was something that probably was prepared the night before. BAD. Friday diner was a $25.00 voucher, I ordered the fish and chips, and after over 2 hours, and not receiving the meal, I walked out. Saturday meal was a forced buffet that I wouldnt feed my dogs. Beds were not made on Saturday, no clean towels. I had to ask/beg at the desk for clean towels. Left a message with the manager, no reply. Golf course sucks. I could not recommend this dump to anyone. I have been attending this weekend function for many years. This resort has definitely gone down hill since it sold. Last year was bad, and they used the excuse of COVID. This year sucked.
Five stars for the staff. They all were very kind and helpful. The room (king) was comfortable and quiet. The golf course is a different story. The layout is great, but the condition.... horrible! Weeds on the tee boxes and fairways. Dry too. The greens are well maintained. The course does NOT go back to the clubhouse, which we were not advised. They have a shack but no one was there, so its useless. At least the bathrooms were unlocked. Wont be back.
Beautiful, well maintained course. Resort is great too. Nice clean rooms. We are traveling with our miniature schnauzer and the dog friendly room is great. 1st floor, right by golf course and dog walk area. Even a feeding bowl and dog bed available in case you forgot yours. Only disappointment is their nice restaurant, Passage North is currently closed except for simple breakfast which is included with room. Having been here many times before, we miss it, but understand with COVID-19, lack of staff and maybe less guests, something has to go. Still a great place! Improved menu at Curleys would help too.
The rooms were clean so I give them credit in the department and the food was fine as well. Sadly, we booked a golf trip and were told upon arriving that they overbooked and would not allow us to play even though we had already paid in full. They also did not give us another golfing option. We were lied to multiple times by some staff members and we will not be going back.
Very rundown. Hallway carpets are a stained. Bathroom smelled like someone has used an old mop. Breakfast is “free” but obviously pre made - soggy and salty. No toast offered. Rooms are getting rundown again. This was a nice place back a few years ago when they were doing updates. We will golf Cadillac but stay elsewhere.
The resort has gone downhill a bit since our last visit in 2016.The course is poorly maintained with unrepaired tee boxes and fairways that could almost be called a rough due to the length of grass and the amount of weeds. The bunkers were more of the same with no sign of maintenance as there are weeds are starting to grow in them as well as large rocks hidden beneath the surface. The greens were probably the best part of the course. They were challenging and relatively well kept. They werent without their flaws though. The greens did not drain after a standard rain. A couple had large areas of standing water, while the rest were just a waterlogged sponge. The accommodation section of the resort was the more redeeming portion. The rooms were up to date and every thing was as expected.Overall we had an enjoyable time, but for the main reason to be there being the golf course it was a bit rough in comparison to some other courses around.
Not a terrible hotel but I wouldnt call it a resort. Ive definitely stayed in worse but also nicer for less. The hallways are dirty, the jets in the hot tub dont work, sauna is out of order, the TVs are puny, and there is no turndown service. We asked the front desk why not and they blamed Covid. Which we now know is just the fallback excuse for lack of personal. Also the pool is mostly 9ft deep (not kid friendly). We stayed here for a hockey tournament and probably wouldnt stay here again.
This place is quiet in the nowhere land as I see it. We stay here because of cherry picking close by but the season is over. As we stay over a night, it is what other people mentioned, it is outdated and needs a remodel bad. The room is kinda stinky or overpower of clorox or some sort. Luckily we brought Lysol and spray the whole room. Customer service was friendly, your typical country style people. I dont know about the golf course but it may be nice to play here.
The staff is seemingly friendly. The scenery around it is better than a regular hotel. The room Im in has the window blocked by a building - tolerable for the long stay my company has booked for me. Ive been in here only 1 hour after winding down from a long travel day, the room odor is now getting to me. I didnt notice it at first, but it is not good. I dont know if its from the carpet or a garbage bin outside my window. Ill get some febreeze or something from the grocery store tomorrow after work to try to combat this odor. Im here for 16 more nights. ugh. Just passing this along to fellow travelers. My suggestion is spend more money for a less smelly hotel. Youll thank me later.
Very disappointed. Upon arrival, the bathroom had an odor. The bathtub was filthy with a dirt ring around it. The door did not close properly. The blow dryer was falling off the wall. Rooms are not serviced daily, so if you require anything your better off going yourself to get it because no one shows up.
Room was okay, staff is pretty helpful, pleasant, and friendly. Although not having a restaurant open for lunch on a weekend doesnt make much sense. The course is in rough shape. Bunkers not maintained, tee boxes are mostly weeds, fairways are okay but could use some TLC. About half the greens are playable but a few have some kind of water damage that hasnt been repaired. I bought the 99 dollar deal on groupgolfer. The breakfast consists of a couple scrambled eggs 3 sausage links and some hashbrowns. Its really a 25-30 dollar course. With average accommodations, relatively disappointed. Id like to give it 4 or 5 stars for the staff because Im sure theyre in a tough spot with staffing issues. I dont think Ill be back.
Staff was very good, rooms were decent, restaurant not open most of our stay. Our breakfast buffet was a bagel in a bag. Spruce course the worst condition Ive ever seen anywhere. Poor grass where there was any, and weeds have taken over the course. Sand traps horrible and not a rake to be found. Norway course was better but not great. I cant imagine going back.
Just recently had a wedding rehearsal dinner there. Meal was like soggy barbecue. Macaroni and cheese microwaved. The entire resort needs a major overhaul. We had several guest stay and got with the staff to hand out gift bags to them. They forgot 8 of them. We had guest stay at the Holiday Inn and all got theirs. They need to really remodel.
Bloody loved this place! Ended up staying here randomly. Cheap room. There was a pool and a hot tub! Not bad. The bar was weird but they had Stella on tap so hard to complain. It has a fake sky light? That’s blacked out? Hilarious.I’d recommend the Curley fries but have you ever had a bad Curley fry? Likely a pointless recommendation. I’d also recommend a Stella.
What a dump. I worked here in high school and it once had a solid reputation and was a great place to stay. My recent experience felt like a clear bait and switch were I was sold a suite and was instead given a dump. When we arrived we agreed to stay in a different room at a lower rate because our oversold suite was not available. At checkout no documentation could be provided as all arrangements had to go through Expedia. The manager was not available at checkout and any attempts to reach a manager only go to voicemail. We were told one rate for our old, musty, leaky room but instead paid top dollar. Would not recommend the entire experience just felt like a scam and any attempts to address our issues with customer service have been useless. The people at the front desk and the phone only direct me to the manager who is never available.
12 of us stayed for 2 night and 2 rounds of golf. Our rooms smelled and were constantly damp. Our shower was dirty with the last persons shampoo on the walls the fridge froze our food and the breakfast was so salty it was inedible.Out on the course...the carts were filthy and rickety, one ended up with a flat tire. The course itself is full of weeds and the T boxes were a challenge slanted with long grass. The snack shack was a joke, the first day....no hamburgers and other items, the second day was 90° and they had no ice..this was our second and last year.
I went there to play twilight golf, the girl working the pro shop wouldnt let me play. It was 7:07 pm. I was a single player. Wouldve been in at dusk. Thats what twilight golf is about everybody get off the course at dusk no matter how many holes you playYou would think that the resort would want people to play no matter how many holes they get in. Its twilight golf. Never go back. The person working the desk is not a loyal employee, just wondering about when they can go home.I just wanted to play golf.It seems people dont want to do there job anymore.I wouldve gave a triple minus star if I could. It was twilight golf, I wouldnt have show up if I thought I wasnt getting my money worth in play. Its twilight golf. It wouldve been different if I showed up around 8:30pm. Or 9:00pm. Its twilight golf.
When we checked in our room I wish we had paid attention to how clean it was but we were going out with friends and just left. When we returned, we noticed the room had trash on the floor and was not vacuumed. The toilet paper holder was Rusty and gross the carpet is very old and it doesnt look like its been cleaned in years and hard. The shower was hard to turn on I had to have my husband turn it on for me and he had a difficult turning it on you have to pull it out and then adjust it.
Always a nice visit when we need a place to stay as home base for nearby ski resorts. Enjoy the layout, homegrown feel, and variety of folks that you run into. Pretty popular with ski/snowboard folks, snowmobilers, and all outdoor adventurers. The complimentary breakfast is always very well done (much better than youd find at a common chain hotel) and the coffee is fantastic. Like the fact that we could borrow sleds to use with our youngsters. Thank you!
Went to this course for the first time off a group golfer deal. The course was in awful shape. They clearly stopped spraying for anything and there were dandelions EVERYWHERE, disease on the greens and tee boxes, and the rough was barely even cut. Will never be coming back here ever again.
I love this place and have been going for about 15 years on business . It has beautiful grounds and pleasant staff. Its alittle bit seasoned but updated. It your picky and want perfection pass it by but for a nice comfortable stay its a great choice.Dinner was good and the breakfast buffet was better than most.
I would call this a two or three star hotel and I am rating it tops in its class. You want good service and a clean room, then this is a great value for the money. The rooms were more recently updated but many of the common areas were not. Cleanliness goes a long way and Evergreen Resort delivered.
I have stayed at this establishment many times over many years and it is usually very pleasant. This time the room I was given was not up to the same standards it usually is. It was very small, no writing desk or chair (which I needed for work), the security lock was broken right off of the door and it had an odd odor. One of the beds had a big dip on the side of it. It was still comfortable, but you had to becareful not to roll to close to that edge or you would roll right off. It was adequate and clean, except for the odd odor. If I had not checked in so late, I would have asked for a different room mainly because if the smell. I hope this isnt a taste of things to come at the Evergreen, I like staying here. I would still recommend this hotel, but a good customer should get a good room too. It was not at capacity the evening I stayed.
We stayed here for the first time this past weekend. The staff was friendly and accommodating. There was a slight issue (maintenance) with not being able to use the pool. The manager upgraded us to a jacuzzi suite and extended our checkout for the next day,so the kids could go swimming. Well definitely be back.
My family and I have been here for several days. We needed a place to stay while while we were attending my moms funeral. The staff have been absolutely great to us and the facilities are fantastic! We will stay one more night tonight and then head home! We will definitely come back to Evergreen when visiting family in the future!
Great room for the price. Delicious breakfast buffet and great servers. We also had dinner on Friday night which was the Michigan cherry salad. We had our choice of meats, for additional cost, so each had our favorite. Only complaint on the salad is that Im not crazy about raw walnuts, would have preferred roasted or pecans. Only problem with hotel was the distance to pool-but I guess you can change there. Overall one of the best nights stays anywhere with very comfortable beds!
This is the best place Ive ever stayed at! The staff was absolutely wonderful! I would recommend this place to anyone! I will never stay anywhere else in Cadillac the hospitality at this hotel was above and beyond. We felt like we were royalty. A special thank you to Sheryl who made sure our stay was extra special she is a true peach!
I was hesitant to stay here as I knew it was an older establishment. I ended up being very thankful we did. The newly renovated rooms were great and had an even better price tag. Spacious and clean. We were accommodated to a room with a king bed on a late notice with booking. The pool and hot tub area was nice, even though the pictures made it look older. The view from the restaurant was beautiful, but the food was just okay.
We stayed in a renovated room and it was very nice. Everything was very clean. The front desk staff was very nice and polite. We ate at Curlys and it was very good. Breakfast was really good in the morning as well, and probably saved us $30 for the same breakfast at a restaurant. We would definitely stay there again.
A very nice hotel, the staff was friendly and helped us decide where to get dinner and drinks! The bad was the pool was closed the day we went for cleaning, actually that was the main reason I choose that hotel over another. But the breakfast was phenomenal and made up for the pool being down overall 7/10 stars for me.
My husband and I have stayed here several times and love it. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. The free breakfast has a variety of choices from hot foods to cold cereals. I highly recommend staying here, you wont be disappointed.
I went for a family golf weekend. Great location, beautiful, well laid out course. The greens were in great shape. There is a nice lake very close. The rooms are beautiful and updated. The service on the golf course and in the bar and restaurant is top notch. I will be visiting again.
If youre looming for a course with a well appointed bar, resturants and pro shop, thus is not the place to play. But if youre looking for 27 beautiful, varied and well maintained golf holes this is the place to go. Winds through the hills, woods and swamps, resulting in a very interesting place to play golf.
Staff was friendly, hotel was clean. Has pool, hot tub, hangout area before pool and a GREAT breakfast (full layout, not continental breakfast). Also has a small bar that was quite lively while we were there for my sons wedding. We had a GREAT time at the resort and will definitely stay again.
We paid almost $200 for an executive suite. Checked in, get to our room and our room over looked a dumpster and there were dead bugs in and around the jacuzzi tub. Went to the front desk and they said someone was in there the night before and didnt complain, but they would check it out. We went to have dinner and when we came back, there were still bugs and dirt build up in the tub. Lady bugs were crawling all over the place. I would NOT recommend this place at all and will not be going back.
Was very pleasant and definitely will stay again. Was in room 129 and was very quiet. Couldnt hear anything outside the room. There is a fridge and microwave which is nice. They have complementary water in the room and a nice breakfast spread in the morning. Recommend going to it.
I do want to give it more than 3 stars, but I cannot get past the condition of the parking lot over the weekend of 2/26/21 - 3/1/21. I wish I would have taken a photo. The entire parking lot was nothing but ice with different height levels (it was like off-roading in your vehicle). This was the main parking area as well as all parking areas near the different buildings with guest rooms. And it wasnt just either the parking spots specifically or the main through-ways. It was all areas of the lots. You could also tell that even the areas (landings) near each of the doorways had not been treated and was slippery depending on the time of day. I didnt call Friday evening when I first arrived because I had assumed (silly me) that for as crowded as the place was (and wed supposedly booked one of the last available rooms), that the front desk staff would have already received multiple complaints/concerns. This situation became even more confusing when my husband and I drove into town to find no issues with any of the parking lots (all ice/snow free) at restaurants/grocery stores/shopping plazas/etc. I finally had my husband ask about it at the front desk during check-out, and the woman seemed quite confused and said this was the first she was hearing about ice in the parking lots and how theyre usually treated, yet if one looked out into the lots from the main lobby, you could see mostly ice and not much of the concrete/asphalt. The entire weekend, I had to be incredibly careful when going to/from the car because I had slipped multiple times, but thankfully did not fall. I braced myself against the building and car a lot. Even my husband slipped a few times. As for the rest of my weekend experience, I thought the cross-country ski trails were awesome for beginners (skis and snow-shoe rentals are on a first come, first served basis (with a good rental price)--they have a decent amount, but not like a true ski resort, but theres also some places in town where you can rent from). I would suggest bringing sleds because there are some nice hills that would be great for a family sledding adventure. I also appreciated the hot breakfasts on Sat & Sun (same meal for everyone, but happy they still offered this much because of covid) and even the bagged breakfast Monday morning contained a good amount of food. Everyone on the weekend breakfast staff was friendly, professional and kind. The room was clean and cozy and never ran out of hot water. We didnt order from Curlys, but opted to try some places in town and near the lake. I was very happy that the pool, hot tub and sauna were all open. Overall, this was a great weekend-getaway experience, but if we return in the future, Ill be sure to speak-up if I feel that something isnt exactly safe.
Probably will not be back- although the room was very clean- service was less than expected. Waited 1.25 hours for our dinner-kitchen back up--only about 15-20 people in the restaurant, was filled up w/ popcorn and pop--no comp at all on bill, breakfast buffet a complete mess, food all over and they started cleaning up at 9:45 as people were still coming in. Food cold and staff was not welcoming anywhere. Attitude that they were to busy and any question asked was I dont know too bad we were so excited to be there.
Well, let says I drove up and my kids say, oh mom, you never pick a place like this. my personal thoughts were that it looked sketchy and run down. Because there isnt a lot around I decided to stay. The place is very unappealing to say the least. The overall look is outdated, the carpet in the hallways looked dirty. The room itself was dark and dreary but the worst part was when I left to go get a carryout and returned to the room, my son said he saw 2 mice and was trying to catch them. We very quickly threw our things in the car and demanded a refund. Holiday Inn express was 5 minutes away. I cant say enough how unattractive this place was!! Glad I had a reason to leave.
Pool is too far from most of the rooms but it was nicely kept. Nice breakfast, more substantial than most and with servers, but they werent very attentive. The room was small as well, looked rather luxurious though. Id suggest it for winter or summer sports stays but not much else.
It is great that theres a restaurant onsite, and it looks nice. However, pool is located in a separate building, in winter this is a real dealbreaker. Also, the showerhead in the bathroom is trash, and needed to be replaced a long time ago. Other things are as expected.
Room was clean, but I mostly booked our trip here instead of staying at the Caberfae resort because of the pool, hot tub and sauna area. The hot tub was VERY cold and filthy so we couldn’t use it, obviously wasn’t able to swim in the pool because kids doing cannonballs every 2 seconds- no big deal. Since there is no one working in the area, the same couple locked themselves in the sauna so we couldn’t use that either. We wanted to sit down to eat but reservations for breakfast were full, then we tried to at least have lunch at the restaurant but it was closed.. shocker. Pretty disappointed for the price I paid
Have ate here a few times for the buffet on Sunday with groups. Buffet has been good but the hot line wasnt always stocked well. Not a ton of choices but had different choices like smelt which was nice. Desert bar had a ton of choices and was excellent. Staff was friendly, bathrooms needed some attention.
Traveled with teen daughters. We had 2 dogs staying with us in a 2 queen room. Room was clean and nice. There was dog bed provided. We enjoyed our stay and breakfast. Breakfast included much more selection than expected. Resort is not under one roof so there is light walking to some areas or driving. Staff was friendly and helpful. Well be back again.
I cant say enough great things about this resort! Everything was very clean. It was nice and warm in all the places you wanted; the pool, the hot tub, near the fireplace, at breakfast. It was such a cozy place to stay after being in the elements all day. If youre looking for brand new, this isnt your place. If youre looking for amazing customer service, a beautiful quaint town, a great variety of winter activities and then a nice cozy lodge, THIS IS your place. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone I know and I would absolutely come back again and again.
Not sure why everyone raves about this place.Pros:-clean-on the course if you are into golf-bar-very friendlyCons:-outdated rooms-short shower-awesome breakfast??? Its your standard re-heated breakfast foods, and lukewarm at bestThis place is a nice place to spend a night and get rest, maybe golf if that is your thing. If you are expecting a nice hotel/resort like a Hilton, this is not it.We had nothing go wrong, everything was fine. Just from reading other reviews my expectations were different than the reality.

2022-06-13We just finished a two-night stay & play package and our group was very happy. First, the hotel staff, food, and room was awesome. Very comfortable bedding was much appreciated after a few days of busy golf. Curlys bar was good bar food with very fun & attentive staff. The hot breakfast buffet each morning was also quite good. The golf courses could use a little work but we were overall very pleased and will be back!

2022-06-22Celebrated Fathers Day with the Family. The guys said the Golf Course was great! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms need to be updated. Nice location. Close to many places to eat and shop. With some updating I would have given 5 stars,

2022-06-04Nice place. Used group golfer discount and was well worth the investment. Restaurant bar and grill on site within walking distance. Rooms were clean and spacious. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Food in restaurant was reasonably priced and good. Bartender was very entertaining and full of information about the surrounding area and events. Will definitely be back again.

2022-05-02Very nice hotel with a fantastic breakfast included with your stay in the morning. Extremely clean room. The bathroom had a heat lamp inside, liquid shampoo, conditioner, and lotion was included. 4 pillows per bed, very comfortable. A little pricey compared to other hotels in the area, but it ended up being worth it.

2022-02-20Guy at front desk was less than welcoming. Seemed like he didnt want to be there? Room was warm upon arrival (Cold day in February) Quiet, clean room. Clean carpet, bedding, and clean bathroom. Could use a new and sturdier toilet paper holder and the tub had scratches on the bottom. Happy to have a mini fridge and microwave. Lots of channel selections on TV. Went to Curleys for dinner. Cold inside. Waitress was attentative at first but then once she got busy we had to wait awhile for check/take home boxes. Food was good. Salmon was excellent. Would stay again if in the area.

2022-06-07I would like to start by telling everyone who reads this to forget about the other reviews as they must be fake or written by the employees of this golf course.I had to give a score of one just to write this review, if that was not a requirement I would have given a ZERO.This is the worst golf course in Michigan hands down. I golf a lot throughout the U.S. and this play is a joke. The fairways have more weeds than grass, Tee boxes have more weeds than the fairways. The greens are the best thing about this course and they have bald spots and burnt spots or overgrowth on them.I read in one of the other reviews that the Ladies Tee boxes were well managed and groomed. That was a lie! While we were there the grounds crew was cutting the Tee boxes, they cut a circle on the outside of the Tee boxes and moved in to the next leaving uncut grass and weeds in themiddle of the Tee box. This was crazy! The golf carts are gas and have a hard time running, you have to keep choking them to get them go and the smell of the exhaust was unbearable. Had a headache from the fumes after the third hole.Spoke with the counter staff when I turned in the keys for the golf cart, I know it is not her fault but she acted like my complaints were an everyday occurrence.Save yourself the money and aggravation and stay away from this place, again $50.00 and it’s not much more than a cow pasture without the Cows!!!!

2022-06-09Played 18 on sat and 18 on sun. Had a good time and the course was both fun and scenic. However each of us did lose a handful of balls right in the open fairway. Lots and lots of dandelions everywhere at the time. It was several weekends ago at the end of May. Other than that we had a good time.

2022-05-26Golf was good, room was good, service and food was TERRIBLE. For the breakfast they give you a cold freezer section sausage egg and cheese sandwich (that you have to microwave), fruit cup, and juice box in a white paper bag. Probably will not ever be coming back, especially after the dinner at your bar currleys last night which was completely underwhelming. Like I said golf was good room was ok, but Im over it.

2022-05-17Decent hotel rooms. Terribly kept golf course.I got the Groupgolfer vouchers last year and finally got to use them this year. I had to rebook with them several times due to changes in our schedules or weather and the staff was very helpful making the changes. [Too bad they dont have a combined room and golf person (like Treetops does!). You have to first see if golf is available and then back to see if a room is available or vice versa. Ugh.]The rooms were very nice and clean. No complaints on that. The bar and restaurant were not open (we were there on a Sunday night). That wasnt very good. :-( They did try to make up for the closed restaurant by giving us a sack breakfast. It was really full if a lot of things. Not as good as a hot breakfast but they tried. The biggest complaint was the golf course! FULL of dandelions - even in the fairways. The greens were extremely long and slow. Some greens were heavily damaged (dried, cracked sections) and ant mounds all over. The rough next to the fairway was horribly long and thick - 6-8 tall in most areas. So much so that if you werent on the fairway, there was a 90% chance you couldnt find your ball - even when you watched it and got a good landmark. Im not exaggerating. We spent half of our time walking just off the fairway looking for our balls. Were amateur golfers and frequently dont put our drives in the fairway so it made the round very frustrating and took away all the fun. Even at a great price of $95/person, I would never go back. The course conditions were that bad. :-(

2022-05-154 Stars because of the friendly staff throughout. The course was kept up. Ladies tees were nice which some course ignore. Rooms were old but clean. Bed was hard. Breakfast was cold and bland. Snack shack was closed, so no food at turn. Carts had no USB port, make sure your gear is fully charged. Curleys bar and grill right on the property was nice and friendly.
