They never falter in providing excellent customer service and the most reasonable prices. I was in a bind last week due to getting an unexpected new job the staff worked with me, was extremely patient with my needs and expressed compassion in my situation. Comment: So I came into town to visit for a week and I was supposed to get a rental from another company but unfortunately they were out of rentals. I did my research and came across this place (Express) called them and spoke to Andy. Let me tell you he took care of me the moment we got off the phone. Helped me by picking me up from where I was at, made it a seamless and easy experience in getting a rental and on top of that I was driving the 2023 Hyundai Elantra Hybrid. Gas for 8 days in town cost me $27 and that in itself is a discount on gas! Highly recommend! DO NOT PASS UP on Andy and his team!!

Comment: I was helped by a kind and friendly woman. They are very attentive to your needs. I was able to get a rental with like an hour notice. I originally got it for 2 days but only used it for 1, for which they refunded me for the day I didnt use it. I also got a ride to the dealer which was super awesome. I would definitely recommend them to family and friends.

Comment: It was the best overall experience Ive had renting a car. I got a great car at a great price without leaving a DNA sample. Im joking of course but Enterprise, Avis, and Hertz have all made it so hard to rent a car with a debit card that I had completely given up until I tried Express Car Rental. For example; Enterprise requires a utility bill which my utilities are included in my rent, and/or a paycheck/pay-stub but I am on SSI (and they refused my official benefit letter) or a declaration of full coverage insurance but I dont own a car. If you are having trouble renting from the other places, give the good people of Express Car Rental a call. They are friendly, the cars are clean and well maintained and they are a little more flexible when it comes to rental requirements.

Comment: Would like to give a long overdue shoutout to the staff at Express. When I needed a rental to go see my dad who was passing, I had very little time to spare. They made the process so easy and painless. They were accommodating and willing to go above and beyond the usual efforts of one of the big name chains. I recently needed to rent again and I was more impressed with Andys staff, especially Laura and Iris. From Iris hearing me out and hearing my needs and getting me the best rate to Laura who was able to relate to as a mom. She heard the challenge in the background as I had the boys and they were closing. With her EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE she and a co worker made it all happen. With our work hours we are not off till 630-7pm so returning the car seemed nearly impossible without paying for multiple days. Once again Laura went out of her way. We used the after hours drop box for the key and she picked the car up from my house. Give them a try the next time you need a rental while your vehicle is being worked on. They wont disappoint!!

Comment: At the first time we rented from them everyone seemed so friendly and welcoming. We needed the car longer and extended the contract. Upon returning the car the clerk tried to accuse my wife and I of having animals in the car which is impossible as we havent even had any pets near the vehicle. The she says it smells like cats impossible because we just got your cat detailed at Champs Car Wash on Caldwell in Visalia. And the man at Champs is related to one of your staff members and knows us too also is one of the reasons we rented the 2nd time. So if she was having a bad day and was upset is because she also walked into the bathroom on my wife who just went into the bathroom in your facility. So I dont know if she was embarrassed or something else but she needs to adjust her attention to other things instead of hurting good customers.

Comment: Called and was told a 7 passenger vehicle would be $397 for 48 hours...the major brands dont charge as much (Enterprise, Avis,hertz..etc)A bit confused on how this business calculates rental pricing....Well...I was not offered any of those discounts nor was any of this mentioned to me on the phone, the gentleman that I spoke to seem to have been busy ( not rude, but busy) ... And you may not feel that this review is inappropriate or fair Nonetheless I believe most people make decisions based on first impressions, needless to say the initial interaction did not indicate that my business was needed at the establishment...and thats ok, and its also ok for people to share their experiences to help others make a decision on where they want to spend hard earned money and time...had these options been mentioned chances are I would have gladly made the reservation at that moment and given a wonderful review of how helpful and welcoming the establishment was...however I was not given that opportunity within the context of the phone call...just being honest 🌻

Comment: The only reason I gave a star is due to no option to give less.The lady behind the counter Laura I believe was her name (the only white female) is extremely rude and judgemental based on ones Appearance.When I returned the rental I was running 1.5hr behind but I called ahead and advised that I was behind so they would have a heads up.When I got there I immediately started getting talked down to and accused of being childish, that Im a grown man and I shouldnt have to be babysat she saidAnd that I should have called ahead.At the same time she said that another employee walked in and told her that in fact I did call in.By then she was in her mood and continued on her verbal attacksExtremely unhappy with their professionalism and customer serviceAnd this has nothing to do with the money never have I complained about the money I gladly paid every single time this has solely to do with your employee and the way she treats her customers cause I am not the only one I have seen her do that tooShe needs to be trained On how to handle customers and properly treat them. she needs to learn respect for the customer plain and simple👎👎👎👎👎👎

Comment: Iris was super helpful she went above and beyond to help me and my family out. Great prices and amazing customer service from Iris. Only part I disliked is when I was given rental car and owner seen that my 3 year old car seat was dirty. He immediately stopped me from putting in my car seat until a worker came and put a plastic wrap over the seat. So that I could put in my car seat I understand he needs to keep his cars as clean as possible but once I signed on the dotted line I agreed to such things as not bringing the car back extremely dirty. Plus I try and not do anything that would cause me to get charged extra since this rental was already unexpected. Other than that overall experience was amazing and Iris did her thing if they had a rental place in Stockton I’d go to them vs the competition.Owner called me back and explained and gave me more clarity on the car seat issue. This I appreciate that he took the time to call me and explain his side so I appreciate the level of customer satisfaction he took to make me feel better.

Comment: I would highly recommend Express Car rental. I needed a car last minute due to having to leave my car at the shop. The pickup time was 10:30 am but they allowed me to get a car sooner. The price was great and they gave me a new car that had been driven maybe only once. I got my car back later that day and they allowed me to return the car early and gave me a credit for the other 2 days I had it booked for. The staff were very friendly and understanding. Comment: I showed up to Express Car Rental on foot after dropping my car off down the street for collision repair, only to discover that Expedia had given me the wrong hours, so they were closed! When I called, rather than just getting a recording, the manager picked up the phone and worked with me to try and resolve the problem. When nothing else worked, he left the comfort of his home and came down personally to rent me a car, even though it was after hours! The price was excellent and they were very flexible with the time frame, as we did not have a clear time frame for getting my car fixed. When I returned my rental, I even got a ride back to the collision repair place, even though it was within walking distance. Very kind and personal service!

Comment: We were very lucky to find express car rental!My husband was unfortunate enough to be crashed into, with his brand new truck.Our “full coverage insurance” sucks and said we only had a $25 day allowance. They’re also only contracted with enterprise. Well they didn’t have any cars AND, they also would have an every day out of pocket cost to pay the difference.The only downfall of going to express was that we needed to pay out of pocket beforehand and then later be reimbursed by insurance because they aren’t contracted to work together. BUT, express honors the $25/day so we didn’t have to come out of pocket more than the amount we would be reimbursed.They workers inside are very friendly and helpful. I would definitely Recommend this place!

I showed up 30 minutes early for my appointment to pick up the car and left an hour later. Then they tried to give me a car that was smaller than the one that I reserved until I caught it before I saw the paperwork. Once I saw the paperwork they told me do not bring the car back dirty or I will have to pay for it to be cleaned. They should’ve told me these things before I got the car. Comment: The team at Express Car Rental were amazing. We were in a tight spot because our car rental from Hertz didnt work out last minute. We called Express and they said they could help. We cancelled at Hertz. We called them looking for a rental but didnt know Express Car Rental was 200 feet away. Also at the time Express was the only place in Visalia that had cars that could carry up to 7 people. They were able to to help us. Paper work was quick. We were able to get a Hyundai Palisade which meet our needs. Andy and his team were there for us. Everybody on our trip loved the car. It got great on gas mileage. The car had Sirius Radio. heated front and rear seats, heated steering wheel, window shades for the rear passengers, a sun roof, and plenty of leg room. We were able to seat up to 7. Even when we returned the car it was an easy process. Andy we will see you again.

Comment: We were on a winding narrow road in Sequoia when our car died. Coasted down to the main road and waited 1-1/2 hrs for a tow which towed us to a Toyota dealership in Visalia. Needed a part and it wouldnt come in until the next day. We were stranded. Called Enterprise nearby and were told they had cars available. Walked about mile to Enterprise and were disappointed they had none when we got there. Didnt get a sorry. Called Hertz, Budget...same answer. Last hope was Express Car Rental in Visalia. Laura, had 2 cars available. We had left insurance cards at the cabin. She graciously called our insurance co. to confirm our coverage. Gave her a credit card and it was declined. My credit card co. assumed it could be fraud as it was from a town and place I hadnt been to. Gave her a different card and it went through. Her patience and kindness during our exasperating experience was what we needed. I would suggest that the well known car rental companies are not the only rental companies in town. Go small, go local and youll get the best service. Please consider Express Car Rental when youre in the Sequoia area. Laura will take great care of you.

I told Andy if I can have One of my kids pick up the van since I was out of state and won’t make it on time to pick the rental van before their office closes. Andy made an arrangement and had His team Isaac met with my daughter to pick up the van. All the other rental places that I’ve called did not allow anyone else to pick up but me. So I really do appreciate their business and kindness. When I returned the van, there was another guy who was talking to me, he sounded like one of the owners. He told me that since I was traveling far, he made sure that the van had new tires so we can be safe. Im sorry, I did not get his name but I appreciate his thoughtfulness too like Andy. And also, when my husband and I went to check out their 15 passenger van to make sure it’s big enough for my family, Andy asked for our IDs. When my husbandHanded his military ID, Andy told my husband that he was giving us extra discount for being in the military. He already gave me a discount for being a first responder plus the military discount. I couldn’t ask for more. He was honest enough to offer us that extra discount. Comment: Best place in town to rent a car. If you are looking to rent a car than make sure before you do you speak to Andy or one of his staff. They will beat the competitors price. Their selection of cars is nice. All low mileage new cars. I rented a car last week while I had some body work done on my truck. I wasnt sure how long I would need it but Andy made sure that I had that low price for however many days I needed it even if it was over the weekend. I dropped the car off on Saturday and the return process was just as fast and convenient as the rental. I left my garage door opener in the car and Andy made sure I knew and was able to swing by and pick it up days later.Excellent experience renting a car from Express.

The Van was clean and in great conditions. It was also very comfortable for 15 passengers! Gas mileage was also great !

I give a four star rating because I hoped they would have told me before I rented the vehicle that it smelled like cigarette smoke it’s not his fault that consumer smoked but I should have been aware so that I may have chose another vehicle. I live 40 min away and didn’t want to turn around because we were leaving on a family trip. Cigarette smoke is awful.

Comment: NeverPay Cash! I was recommended to seek insurance from Express Car Rentals. He recommended Dairy Auto Land, and Freeway brokerage accomodatted. I purchashed what I was told I needed, a non-owners policy. When I rented a vehicle from Andy he called and verified I had full coverage. This Insurances affiliates validated vocally, on speaker, that I had full coverage to rent from Express Rentals Visalia- Andy truly verified this, as I gave the insurance company permissio into speak with him. I was scammed into purchasing this insurance. Luckily, I only had a blow out. South of Bardsley I rode out the car until it stopped (see pic). I was waiting on the 99 Highway after calling Tow One, who began to remove tire but when payment was questioned.He unjacked (lowered) the vehicle a safety wasnt on his mind, he didnt want to get in trouble from his boss! He called and negotiated a price with Andy (Express Rental Agent), without my knowledge. Eventually45 minutes later, as payment was more important than safety a decision was made. Not my decision, the payment decision.For a full hour I was terrified as diesels and cars zipped by at fast speeds. Then the man, from Tow One, in a solar tint pickup; asked me to help him, and I did. Even with a broken sandle on my left foot. Freeway told me I didnt have full coverage or road side assistance. I was dumbfounded as I followed protocol any other insurance company would want. Well after the spare was on, I realized it looked awfully low. Tow one solar truck zipped off! I noticed the spare was little, but looked like it needed air badly. Thankfully the next ramp I pulled up to, had an adjacent gas station. I added 40 PSI to make it 60 PS (spare tire stated, needed PSI.After all this no one called to see if the car or me were ok. I went to return the vehicle that night, Andy was locked and closed. Summary: Freeway Insurance lied to Express Rentals- Yet juxtaposed they both lied too me. I returned the vehicle two days early. Lost full deposit, and only reason they both win is because I was low on funds and had no protection of a bank. Everything was in cash. Thank Jesus I handled the blowout the way I have read in the past and no one other than me were hurt or highly inconvenienced.LEARNED: So, Freeway Insurance (Broker for Dairy Autoland) lied to Express Rentals-who would, never rent out a vehicle without verifying full coverage! Andy didnt - it was vocalized on speaker it fast covered to drive. I was scammed for cash and guess how much it cost to have a man put on a spare, with assistance? 300.00 Dollars. OH-HE gave a 50.00 dollar discount (see added pic). I love how Freeway Insurance states to me it was Express Auto Rentals lie, he then blames the Auto One Tow man in the solar tint truck to save me off a busy highway. At the end when I open the glovebox I find an interesting bumper sticker (see pic). Oh, I was also told I should of called Andy the employee to use his AAA. Before renting he stated the tire sensor light was on but everything was ok and had been checked out. Also, I was never told to call him in case of a blowout (isnt this why we want insurance)!For five days I paid 591.00 to be scammed. When I learned there was no full coverage by the man who verified it with Freeway (Dairy Autoland); Who would want that liability? Looks like this Freeway Insurance has bad rap. I should of never gave cash to an agent, when another customer is yelling they cancelled his policy after paying while I was in the office. Yes these are unprecedented times. How much more can a business take from ya? How many more profited off a lie Freeway Sold? Oh Tow One took 50 bucks off (see pic).He truly was going to leave me there. This was highly dangerous, and I believe anytime during rush hour; a vehicle and driver should be towed. Not put to work, and jacked up in such conditions. Nice guys finish last, and although I would not say Andy is rude.You just dont put people in bad cars! Andy, has some accountability here, tire sensor light.-Dairy is investigating.

Comment: This was the first time Ive ever rented a car and it was a quick and simple process. I got the 2020 Hyundai Elantra which was a great car. It was clean.
