I had a clean, undisturbed, indoor, five-by-ten-foot unit; I use the going Web-rate by paying a year up-front, so no surprises and needing to move during term. As expected, their rates went-up the next year by 50%—we are not in Kansas anymore ☹. I moved-out a week before the monthly renewal, but I do not recall receiving a pro-rated refund: the rate, facility and service was so good, I did not bother to ask. Remember to ask for a copy of your counter-signed lease with their signature! as they usually forget.

Comment: I have had a great experience with the management of the facility located on Ave J in Lancaster, CA. The reason for not giving the facility 5 stars is because of the unit prices. Understanding that I rented the unit during the pandemic and storage units were extremely high. My issue is the storage unit price continued to climb each year. That being said the unit manager doesnt control the prices. There were times when I couldnt pay. The facility manager chose to work with me and allowed me to pay with multiple credit cards. Because she knew I had been a good customer, she didnt track me down and make me feel bad. She did her job professionally and was kind and respectful during the whole process. Cathleen was professional and kind in addition to being very personable and understanding which made her just a good person to work with.

Ive fallen on hard times due to medical issues and struggled to make my payments on my unit. I had managed to pull together the money to pay for the unit. But during the morning rush, I totally forgot to make the payment. So now Ive lost everything. So I pray that the person that acquired the unit reads this. The things in the storage are yours. You bought them fair and square. But I am pleading with you to please let me have a chance to try to get back the things that are of no value to you. I just want to have my childrens things back. Things that Ive kept since the day they were born. My photo albums. Their schoolwork and awards. My document boxes. And my fathers army blanket that he gave me from when he served in Vietnam. Even if I have to pay you, I will do what I can. But at this point, Im just broken like nobodys business over that fact that I could be so dumb and forget to make my payment and the fact that Ive lost all of my most precious memories. The thieves followed someone in without using a code to get in. Within 11 minutes, our things were gone!! No one in the office monitors the cameras or who comes through the gate. AND they will tell you they are not responsible. Homeowners insurance doesnt cover because it was not at our home. BE CAREFUL where you store your possessions. ASK questions.

This facility wont break your wallet, while giving you a clean, safe place to store your stuff.If you need to store an RV or trailer, Cathleen has that available, also. Sarah was informative, flexible, and honest. She showed me a few diffrent units and the original one I came in for, ended up being smaller in person. She offered to show me another size similar and I finished my visit with a unit, that has insurance, an alarm system and great price. The storage it self was well kept, clean, manageable layout (yes,I got lost- but was assisted- my first trip to unload belongings) it looked fresh, if that makes sense. The location of this office was great, near freeway, and main streets but a less busy street. Im happy with this storage facility.

I had just went to my storage on the 3rd and everything on mine was there the morning of November 5th 2022 9:29 am in the morning i received a call from extra space storage manager, cathleen saying my unit I have got burglarized and you need to come check your unit out so my wife left and went to go check as she is arrives she immediately calls me crying, saying everything is gone and we’re the only one that I happen to the manager said this is the first burglary in two years and why wouldn’t it had to be my storage unit? The only issue I ran into was that our truck didn’t fit inside the original indoor space we booked, and there was no one at the desk to help. I was able to book another space online though which was great. When we got back, everything was as we left it which was our biggest concern. Seems pretty safe with high fences and cameras everywhere.

More specifically I want to thank Tanisha the store manager who helped us with the entire process! Moving can be pretty stressful and has been in the past for my family. But I must say upon meeting with Tanisha, she made this entire process of moving our items into storage hassle free! Before choosing Extra Space, I searched a few other places and let me tell you, the prices that they were offering and for the amount of space we needed was insanely overpriced! That is why I’m so happy to have spoken with Tanisha! When I first called ES, I believe I spoke with a representative and she quoted me with the prices online. We then decided to visit our nearest location and was given the correct information thanks to Tanisha! She actually helped us figure out the correct space we needed and during the time we inquired about the space, there was an amazing deal that could not be beat! Soon after we seen the amount of space we would have to store our items and how much we would be paying monthly-we had to lock it in! What made the experience for me was really the customer service that was provided throughout our time with Tanisha! She was amazing! Well informed, personable, and just overall a pleasure to have been able to be helped by! Comment: I had storage unit at this location for 1 1/2 years. It’s safe and secure. And the staff is friendly and super helpful. I moved to Northern California and came down to pull some items out of storage. When I arrived I realized I had left my lock key. The office attendant was super helpful and quickly helped me get the lock popped and in to my unit. Overall, it’s been a wonderful experience working with Extra Space Storage and I would recommend looking for a safe place to store their belongings.

Comment: I was sad to hear of Matts sudden passing. I could see what an mpact that had made on Tanisha. Tanisha has stepped up to fill the large shoes left by Matts passing in a remarkable way in what must be an extremely difficult situation for her.Tanisha was knowledgeable about services and deals available and worked with us to to choose the space and plan that would best suit our needs. Many of the other storage space companies I looked at simply wanted to make the deal that would give them the most money over the shortest amount of time. Comment: Reserved the unit online late at night and was called the minute the office opened. Spoke to Tanisha and she was very knowledgeable and friendly over the phone. When i got to the office we sat down and went over all the options, pointed out the differences, we discussed the prices and then took me around the facility to show me the unit size i requested. Came back into the office and i made a couple calls to confirm it with my wife, in the meantime another customer came in and she greeted them immedietly and gave them her undivided attention. By the time i got off my phone she had all the paperwork ready to go. Went over the contract with me again. Had me sign and on my way i went in a matter of no time. Very professional and dedicated employee and spoke highly of her boss Matt. What ever their paying her isnt enough.
