They are there to help, and take care of your needs. I havent been the best client they have had. Reason being, that like a lot of people I know there going threw it sense the covid hit, the prices for everything have gone up. Well I couldnt take it no more. I lost my house and had to do what I had to do. My wife her mother and I almost went to the streets. Luckily I had gotten a fifth wheel along time ago . Thats where my family stay all my stuff her stuff my mother in laws stuff is in are storage. Well it was rough I got behind on all the bills I had truck, rental space for fifth wheel and Storage if I lost the storage everything we owned would be gone for auction collectables personal stuff all my tools. Just everything . Ill tell you what if you run into anything close to what Im saying keep your head up and communicate with the people you owe. Like the kind people at Extra Space Storage I owed them so much and was behind a great deal of money. Especially the Manager she was the best delt with me on a human level which was awesome. I sat with her and Im sure she went out of her way on many things but we figured it out and came to a agreement that worked for me and them. If it hadnt been for her I would of lost everything so take my advise. Extra Space Storage and PS. Ask for the Manager in Murrieta shes the best and all the others will go out of there way also. Comment: Tried to rent a 5x10 space, signed up and went to look at it and it was maybe 3 feet deep with a diagonal wall cutting the space in half and they failed to give me a heads up so I had to go back and see if they had anything else. The only other two units available were super inaccessible. The online pricing advertised online isn’t what they charge you in person. Do your homework with this place!

Comment: I got me a nice 10’ 20’ storage . And was very pleased with my friend, on the first day we asked an employee on a gulf cart for help howe to open our storage door. Becouse we dident know Howe use the small cilinder lock . He had a tantrum skidded the gulf cart kicked the garage door hard. And slamed the door up hard, he walked into the empty unit all the way to the back came out and left. Very threatening. Talk about zero tolerance this employee scared me.

Comment: THEFT (02/28/2023) We rented an inside storage thinking our possessions would be safe. Only about 2 months into our lease of storage, it was broken into. Everything of value (collectibles) + other items are GONE!!! Apparently other ones have also been broken into because one of our items was found in another person’s unit. No cameras in the inside for security only on the outside. Terrible security measures. Apparently their security system was disabled. Save your money, don’t entrust your belongings to this company!!! Filed a police report on Feb. 28th, 2023.

Comment: Stayed for about 3 months. The staff are very nice and professional and the facility is clean. However, I was expecting to have a climate controlled storage unit like I was paying for. Every time I visited my unit it was 90+ degrees inside. Also, the doors do not have any kind of blocks to keep open or a way to keep it from shutting so moving in and out can be a pain. Would recommend if no one needs climate controlled storage.

Once we arrived to unload the place was very clean and well lit. The lock they provided was already in the unit waiting for us. We never had to go into the office everything was just ready for us.We used this same facility 7 years ago and they have kept up the maintenance to perfection. No bugs, rats, cracks, chipped paint. And for the price I am not sure any place can compete. Very satisfied.

Comment: My experience at extra space has been pleasant, mostly. The only aspect I was not fond of, is how the prices jump up so much under supply and demand benefit. I would prefer units to have set prices, perhaps with specials mixed in. The rates for the smaller units kept up with the big unit prices as I downsized, had I stayed in it for more than two months.The staff were friendly and helpful though. No complaints on that. My overall experience was positive.

Comment: These 5 stars + 1000, Shane & Helina were the ones who helped us, they were awesome from the get go, very understanding with our needs, helpful & very informative, and they did their best to give us the best service. Helina offered a free storage truck for the move, they gave us til 5pm, but after having a stressful day we brought the truck back late. They (Shane & Helina) left me in AWE, they werent upset, instead they were compassionate and understanding of our situation and made it possible where everyone is happy. We will DEFINITELY come back. Comment: I cant say enough about Zach Foreman (Assistant Manager at Extra Space Storage Murrieta). His professionalism, integrity, assistance and customer service was Top Notch! I had to make a complete move and was downsizing from a 5 bedroom to a 2 bedroom - in a few days... And after several visits to various storage places I almost gave up finding a reasonable rate, for a decent sized space in a safe & secure area that was available the same day. Then I came into this location where I was greeted by Zach who showed me around, went above and beyond finding me the best rate and even helped me with the extras I needed to get things set up, moved and secured. If I ever need a storage unit again - this WILL be my 1st choice!! ~ thank you for Everything Zach

Comment: Today my husband and I went to three different storage unit companies. First storage place had horrible customer service skills and unwilling to help us. Second place was too busy to even acknowledge us. Extra Space was our third and final stop. Shane Stevenson was our rep and he was wonderful. He will take the time to listen to what you need, understand the price you can afford. Showed us multiple units. When he saw my husband and I debate over size of the unit, he found us the perfect one. He was quick, honest, upfront on all fees ( admin, locks, etc ) and just overall friendly. Its hard to find good customer service and because of him and his willingness to help, we got a unit here. Thanks Shane. Very happy with this place. Absolutely no complaints.

Comment: VERY DECEPTIVE BUSINESS PRACTICES. Was not able to use the lock that I PURCHASED FROM EXTRA SPACE STORAGE in FL less then 2 months ago so that we could store our things prior to our move to CA. The salesman told me I was going to need to buy a new lock because NO OTHER LOCKS work in their units. REALLY??? At other facilities Ive been given a choice, to use my own lock or buy one of theirs. Was then told that I was REQUIRED to buy insurance (which I wasnt required to do in FL). These two things I could have gotten past. What caused us to walk out, was the bait and switch!!! 3 Huge signs outside the facility and a Large notice on their web site says 1ST MONTH FREE. When I asked if I got one month free, the salesman said NO!! When I asked why he said because we are pretty full right now so we arent offering that. I said, then why do you still have the signs up. He said, because it brings people in - THIS IS A DIRECT QUOTE!!!.Shop around!! There are better, more economical storage facilities with a lot more integrity just down the street!!! The storage facility that we ended up going with, in the same city, in CA, let me use the lock I bought in FL and the insurance was included in the price of the unit. And by the way - it was cheaper for the same size unit.

Comment: Extremely friendly staff, and well kept units. We even received a better unit than we expected!The ONLY thing that keeps me from giving 5 stars to the Winchester site, is the U-turns needed to get in and out of the facility when coming South or heading South. Not so much of an issue in a car, but with a truck, it can be a bit of a challenge.

Comment: John Lopez checked us into Extra Space Storage. What a great guy! We traveled from the Bay Area to Temecula/Murrieta the previous day, 2 trucks and a trailer full. Tired and stressed. Thankfully John helped us. He was kind, courteous, understanding, and efficient. I truly appreciated his knowledge and help with some tips for unloading this truly large load. We are downsizing, but still.....it was a lot. Our kids were there to help too! We reserved online and took advantage of some specials. I was very happy to see that the specials were in effect when we got there. Sometimes you do specials online only to find out theyre not honored or theres some mix-up. This place was recommended to us by a family member who had also relocated to the area last year. Our rental was clean, the property was clean, turning the trucks around with the trailer was not a problem. Plenty of room. So far very happy with our decision to go with ESS. Thanks John, for all of your help!

Comment: These guys are great. They showed me all my options that best would fit my needs and went out of their way to make the process as easy and convenient as possible. It was so helpful and appreciated! No move is without stress but they did all they could to make my storage needs as easy as possible. Great staff!, convienent location for me and the units are the cleanest I looked at in the area by far ....and you cant beat the rate either!! Comment: John was very friendly and helpful. Price was reasonable as long as you ask for the Internet price and not the walk-in price. They require a $13/month insurance fee so add that onto the published rate. Entire place is very clean. Free moving van was booked for the next 9 days so make sure to plan ahead if you need it. I checked out 3 places and chose this one.

Comment: I rented a large storage unit here for over 1 year. I cannot say enough positive things about this facility. Its clean, well lit, and secure. The staff, especially Shane and Danielle are very professional and go the extra mile to take care of any issues or needs that arise. I would come and go quite frequently to my unit at all hours of the day or night and I always felt safe. You are given a code to enter and exit the gate. There is a little cart at either end of your space to haul boxes or heavy items, so this makes it quite convenient. It was always there when I needed it.At one point during the rental period, I asked Shane for some assistance with an issue that came up. He listened to everything I had to say, and even though it was a situation he could really not change, he took the extra effort to resolve it in a way I felt satisfied. I would definitely rent here again without a doubt.

The customer service has been beyond EXCELLENT! The cleanliness of the property and the units has proven to be BEYOND my expectations. And the Security and the surroundings of the location has be superb! My items have remained in EXCELLENT condition. Comment: In the recent past, Ive dealt with various storage companies. Most have been pretty sketchy. When it was Winchester Self Storage, this place was just the same in my opinion. But luckily they changed hands and came under the current management and everything changed.The current (2/14) managers are friendly, helpful and very professional, yet they take the time to be human as well. They keep the property clean, well lit and problem free. The inside spaces are air conditioned which is a very important thing here in Temecula. The outside areas are regularly patrolled and kept trash and hazard free.I would highly recommend this facility.
