Management e mention the because they have online and phone rental they rent to a lot of people who are not properly identified and also shared that their units get broken Into very often . Be aware not to waist your time and money, management told me that I should of insure more my unit and referred me to file a police report didn’t offer to refund me my current months rental . A one time fee, plus you need to have your items insured which is an extra monthly fee, and they do charge you for a lock which you can return for a refund if you already have your own. The insurance fee is based on the value of your personal belongings which you will be storing.

Comment: The Storage units on the railroad side are not secure.Thieves cut a hole into one of the walls of the unit from the railroad side. All of our tools were stolen out of our unit aaand they had enough time to sort through all our boxes and throw our belongings onto the ground. We had to call the cops to make a report because they did nothing except for patching up the wall with a sheet of wood. This piece of wood was thin enough for it to be cut into again.Ive used Extra Space Storage units in other cities, but this one has been a terrible experience and not secure at all. I guess we incorrectly assumed that the security they promoted applied to all around the unit and that there was 24/7 monitoring.Also their insurance is useless. They only reimbursed us with funds to purchase used tools. Our tools were new when we purchased them. They sincerely screwed us over.

I had to be told by the associate and she told me I had to complete my lease. Also never given notification about that either. When I finally got to the location, my access code didn’t work. I had to wait 30 minutes for the associate to get back from lunch. Not even calling the number could help me. Once she got back from lunch, it was because she had to verify my ID. I cancelled the unit because I felt uneasy and stressed out at the location they put me at. I had to spend an hour what I thought was going to be 10-15 minutes. EVERY staff member was very nice and helpful though. They are the only reason I’m giving this star level.

After our unit was broken into and burglarized a month ago, only the hatch was broken so they told us to just put our lock back on it and use the same lock/key with new hatch. 3 other surrounding units were broken into also. The insurance company they provide they we paid for also has not responded to our claim filed back in February for our burglarized belongings. I called both the manager Angie and on site person Dora to confirm last week that we were moving out this Saturday and paid our final balance and confirmed gate/key/lock would work. We arrive today with our movers and our lock is gone and has been replaced with a new lock/key without our knowledge or without us having a key. We are locked out of our unit, no one has answered phones or emails and they don’t even get in until 9 and we are paying our movers who are here. It is so frustrating to have both an unsafe storage facility and extremely unorganized employees. Would not recommend this facility to anyone.

I personally have seen tenants hop fences or on property after hours and their behavior looked suspicious...I was evicted from this facility after having a unit there for the better part of 10 yrs with the previous ownership, All-Aboard and with Extra Space. I will admit that I was warned and left with mo.problems. I was treated well by management (suck it Ralph, hahaha) but he did call other storage facilities in the area and mentioned me specifically to those facilitys employees and management w/ a recommendation to not rent to me. These are facts and not opinion. I managed to find a fine storage site with Storage Etc. They are similiar in site cleanliness and employ friendly personnel. I am the owner of a company and frequently use storage facilities around the country. I have never worked with one more delightful than this one. I had to have multiple things delivered to my unit and was not able to be there to over see any of them. I was in TN and would not be able to be in Anaheim for another month. The items were extremely important to our client and there was no room for error. So when one delivery went disastrously wrong, you could imagine my panic. Comment: Had a great experience here. Units were clean and well lit. The free moving truck made things much easier. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Id definitely use this place again.
