Comment: Not helpful at all! The web site is misleading! They are a third party site without their own van rental vehicles which I am told by the rental company we were redirected too. Quote from web site - “When making a reservation for San Diego Airport you are getting EZ Rent A Van Delivery”… don’t be misled by this dishonest advertisement! I had 3 children under the age of 6, 4 adults, our own child seats, baggage, and all with the web advertised expectations to be meeting up with an EZ Rent A Van team member at the San Diego Airport baggage claim to “Sign rental agreement and get directed to the vans location” which did not happen! This is not a reputable rental site or facility, and for your peace of mind do not get mislead by them at the San Diego Airport and do not pay the additional cost expecting the above agreement. Comment: I just wanted to say that I am extremely disappointed with my recent EZrental Van experience. As a Uniformed Service member I reserved a van in San Diego for a trip to Tempe, AZ to compete in an Ironman Triathlon. When I arrived at my rental location I was informed that my EZRental reservation was not existent. I called EZRentalVan and they directed me to another rental company – NU rentals, which was about a 1 mile walk. NU rentals then proceeded to charge me for an additional mileage fee (despite my original EZRentalVan reservation having unlimited mileage). And when NU contacted EZRentalVan their response was “too bad”. And then all of my additional attempts (15 phone calls) to EZRentalvan were ignored and never returned. So I had to walk back to the airport and rent a car at the airport rental center for an even higher price because it was so last minute. Terrible experience. I would not recommend this company. I understand that reservations get messed up, but the lack of care and support for the customer was just really sad. Overall a bad day.

Comment: Rented a large transit van, price was great! Reserved online easily with them no credit card required. A little difficult to get someone on the phone for confirm details but eventually got everything set up. The location can be a bit confusing. We reserved with “EZ rentavan” but the location when we arrived was called “San Diego rentals” or something like that. They still had all our rental info and check in was smooth. The van was everything we needed, not in perfect condition- few scrapes and dents on bumper and wear and tear on the upholstery but all working fine. Drop off was easy.

Unprofessionalism all over. They wont even offer an apology for all the beautiful reviews. ruining your plans.Do not believe. If you have another option, avoid these people. We were renting from Nu car rental which charged us a completely different amount from the quote given by Ezvan. I would never use either again .

What we got were really old vans with parts missing, and really pretty dirty inside. One of the doors didnt close without slamming. Would use again because of service but make sure the van I looked at is the van i get.

Comment: We had a great experience renting a van from EZ Rent A Van. They were super easy to deal with and they had better rates than any other car rental or van rental service I checked. We were moving my daughter up to college in San Francisco and they were very accommodating. They removed two of the rows of seating from our passenger van and we used the back to haul all of her boxes and still had room for the family up front. Highly recommend.

I would say that the only thing would be that the vans are a little older. Everything was nice, though, and the vans did their job without any of the bells and whistles of the newer vehicles. Comment: Van I rented was supposedly a 15 passenger 2018 Chevy Express. It was in very bad shape. Van almost over heated, engine sounded like it was going to give up, doors sounded like they were going to fall off on every bump we hit. Interiorior was very dirty. Had to sanitize the inside before we used it. I just thank God we completed our trip without any major issues. I wouldnt recommend this place if you want a safe and reliable van to rent. Best to pay more from a more reliable rental company than put your family at risk with these vans!

Comment: Renting process was streamlined and easy. Staff was friendly and communicative. The rental itself was of a concern. The exterior had its wear and tear which was understandable. The interior fixtures were my main issue. Many things were broken such as: the passengers side door handle kept popping off, the drivers side automatic window would not go down, the side view mirror adjustment controls were unresponsive (which was a safety hazard), there were tears in the seat upholstry, and the passengers side seatbelt was damaged, but still somehow worked. During the initial check of the van, I felt comfortable with staff when they were going through the damage on the exterior as they seemed thorough. However when I mentioned if they were going to run through the interior, they failed to even look inside, and just explained that if there is no major damage then it should be fine. It was only later when I left their lot that I found the interior damage. I did not feel safe during my trip as I thought that if the interior wasnt of good condition, then what about the engine itself. I continued with my trip with that rental as I was on a tight schedule. I hope changes can be made to ensure there is a thorough check of the entire car so that both staff and the customer know the condition of the rental before checking it out.

Great customer service!! Check in and check out process was a breeze. Van was pretty well worn in, but was in overall good shape. Clean. Ran great and didn’t give us any issues despite a full load. I would have preferred a newer vehicle, but for the price, I can’t complain.

Due to covid-19 we cancelled our trip, and when we asked for the refund they just said go to your bank if you want a refund. DONT RENT A CAR HERE, THERE ARE MANY MANY OTHER OPTIONS.

I had a problem with the van I rented and they came to me right away and helped me - the van wouldnt start and it turned out it was because the wheel was locked from turning sharply into a parking spot. I didnt know that could happen, but they were incredibly nice about it and got me back on schedule quickly.

Getting picked up at the airport was super easy and everyone who works at EZ Rent a Van is super friendly. We even left some items in the car and they were kind enough to ship it back to us. I will be using this company every time I go back to San Diego. Not only because they have the best rates, but they are super friendly and have awesome customer service. Comment: Id would like to five these guys 4 stars but unfortunately they missed out on that because: On June 7 after picking up the van I picked up my granddaughter and her two month old infant up from the airport at 11 pm. At midnight we became stranded in a fast food restaurant parking lot because the van battery was dead. Luckily a gentleman helped us get the van started. On the way to where we were staying the van completely died. I called my friend to pick us up. By the time we got to where we were staying it was 2:30 am. I called the reservations number as soon as I woke up in the morning. They had no extra vans to provide as back up. So it took a few hours for the van to be fixed. I was hoping that the EZ Rent A Van would offer some compensation for our inconvenience; loss of transportation late at night with a two month old infant in tow, up at all hours of the early morning trying to get to our destination, loss of transportation the next day causing a major change in plans. I gave EZ Rent A Van ample time to offer compensation for our inconvenience. I have reached out to them and I received no answer. While I appreciate their effort to get the van back in operation, we still suffered a major inconvenience. So thats why only 2 stars for EZ Rent A Van.

The tag were expired (11/17), there was rust on the top of the van and inside the van look like a trash bag. We immediately parked the van and didnt drive it. We called to have it picked up next day. It all seemed a little suspect and shady. Beware!!!

We stepped out of the airport and the guy was right there with the keys and the van and he was so kind and helpful too. We enjoyed the van for 8 days and it went great. The air conditioning and heat worked very well and we all had lots of room to stretch out. Definitly plan on using EZ Rent a van again! Thank you!!!
