Theres always something interesting to look at.My go-to stop for buying bird seed for the feeders.
They have so much at this store. Always helpful and usually have what youre looking for.Got a great pellet smoker/grill for half the price you would find anywhere else. The pellets were also on sale. Great deals.
Great store for dog & cat supplies; they actually have a better food selection than most pet stores.
Help is almost clueless. Waste of time unless you know exactly what you are after and know where it is in the store.

We always come to Family Farm, has everything youll need. BUT now I love them even more because theres a changing table in the mens bathroom! Which you never find. Might not be important to most, but definitely convenient to some!

The bar and people were great. The tacos were greasy and dripped from the shell. The meat didnt taste like it had any taco seasoning. Place was good, the food was horrible
Solid place with a great selection. The staff isnt prone to stalking the store to see if you need help, but if youre shopping here you probably know what you are looking for anyway. The prices are fair, and the sales seem legit. Its well lit, well stocked, and well organized. One of my favorite local stores honestly.

We are new to the area & wanted to check this place out & compare it to Farm n Fleet which we frequented back home. As we entered some of the lights were off & it was very cold inside. Prices seemed higher on some items but we purchased our dog food that was on sale. They have quite a few items in the store, maybe needs a little more organizing.
Was buying garden dirt. A very nice young man helped me, even loaded my car. Everyone was very helpful. Love this store.

This store is great! They have a great variety of bird feeders, seed, pet food, seasonal items including herbs and gardening items in the spring. I love the home decor section, outdoor items and wide variety of clothing including cowboy boots. This is a great farm yet homey type store with friendly employees.
I love going to Family Farm & Home. I feed a BUNCH of birds and critters that we and our cats enjoy watching--like right on the deck! They have everything I need, and lots of things that I just want! 😁 Good prices on American made goods too!
Everything was organized and clean only 4 star because I walked around looking something I needed staff just stared never greeted or asked if I needed any help. Still a nice place

I went in this store today to buy 10 bags of shavings for my horse stalls. It is Memorial Day weekend, a very busy time, yet only one cashier was open. The cashier seemed new and was very slow. The woman in front of me got frustrated and stated loudly Just forget it!. I paid for my shavings and asked if someone could load them for me. She called someone up to help me. I brought my truck around and waited for someone to load them for me. After about 5 minutes I went back in the store and told the cashier that no one had shown up to load my stuff. She stated Well, I saw him heading out there. I said Well, he did not make it. She did nothing about it and was very rude. She did not call anyone again. Even though I am elderly, and have a bad back, I started to load them up myself. When I was almost done another customer came and helped me. No one from the store ever showed up. Horrible customer service!!
Always freaks me out when I walk in and only half the lights are on....makes it look like they cant afford the electric bill. However, they have a huge variety of feeds for all animals as well as lawn equipment. We bought our grill there for a much better price than Home Depot!
Lots going on with opening a new store but despite all that, they are good people who have done me right every time. Jenn is extremely pro active and helpful and the crew is always nice and offers to help me carry out heavy items...i politely decline because Im not a sally but the gesture is appreciated and its nice.

The staff is always friendly! Even when you call they take the time to actually search for what your asking about! Not to mention if they dont have what you are looking for they gladly recommend somewhere else to try. Overall great store!
My experience here is generally good, we can usually find what were looking for for our chickens they have that covered well. Store is clean, employees are nice... however, they do NOT provide much for beekeepers. They want to be a supplier of beekeeping products but they dont keep key items stocked, or even ordered. Not one of their employees has any knowledge of beekeeping, management has been rude when Ive asked them to stock supplies like pollen patties which are really important for beekeepers in the fall, mouse guards are not there either.. Im at the point where ordering my beekeeping supplies off the internet is less of a headache than trying to give a local business my business.
By far my favorite place on this planet to neander around looking for tools, gadgets, parts & CHAINSAWS. Excellent customer service as well.

The prices in this store are great, and they have a nice selection. However I am only giving 3 stars due to the extremely long wait times anytime I actually need assistance from one of the staff with something.If I want a duck or a chick I typically end up waiting 10-15 minutes before someone can actually help me, and it’s almost always the same guy who ends up having to help me while being swamped with other customers. I see other staff members who are walking around not doing much, and are told that I need assistance, and they come up to me to tell me they will be able to assist me in a moment, but then they end up wandering off and never actually assisting me. So the same guy ends up being the one who eventually has to drop whatever he’s doing to come and help me because the original person who was supposed to help just vanished. He’ll happen to be walking past me and notice that I’m waiting and ask if I need anything. I’ll tell him someone was supposed to grab me a couple chicks but that they ended up having something better to do, so he will be kind enough to stop and get the chicks out for me. It’s an older of smaller stature. He’s awesome, and I am very appreciative towards him. However, the younger staff could definitely take a page from his book and work on their customer service.I’ve worked in retail and I know it can get busy. However, I’ve never walked up to a customer to tell them I’d be back to help them and then never show back up. I mean, it takes like 30 seconds to scoop a chick up and put it in the box. So they could have easily done that rather than coming up to tell me they’d be back to grab it for me later. The times this has happened has always been with the younger ladies who are working there. One was a brunette who seemed pretty annoyed when she informed me she’d be back to help me shortly, and then she proceeded to walk to the counter near the chick corral and stood at the computer there for at least 15 minutes until I had to literally go and find someone else to grab a single duckling for me. And then the girl who ended up helping me in her place mislabeled the duck I had chosen but I was only charged half the price so I guess it worked out in my favor but I doubt that’s very good for business.So in summary: great prices, great selection, one really awesome worker who seems to do the majority of the work in the place while the other employees stand around not making customers their priorityUpdate: I just called them today 5/30/19 and asked if a certain product that I have been waiting on came in, and the girl Taylor who answered said, “ I’m not sure if it came in or not,” then then just sat quietly waiting for my response. Ok could you please transfer the call to someone who does know then? If you don’t know that’s fine but apparently you think that that is an acceptable response to give to a customer whom you know has been calling asking about this product for at least a week waiting on it!
Updated Review: I switched farm supply businesses, when Family Farm & Home in my town stopped doing curb side or enforcing the mask mandate in their store.I now get all my cracked corn and other animal and farm supplies from the local TSC, which has wonderful curb-side service and does enforce the mask mandate.Original Review:The greedy geese need their cracked corn treats. Family Farm & Home is my go-to place for this. The staff are always very nice.
I go to this store a lot in fact I went earlier today the selection is great. The workers are nice knolagable and a all around good workers exseped for the what I believe is the manager was not good there power was off only the emergency lights were on and workers walking around with flashlights the manager had people coming in, hardly any light or control the manager was snapping at worker in front or at least 10 customers. He had no plain or was good under pressure, not qualified to be manager.
I only give it 4 stars because they were out of the stove pellets that I needed. First time there and it was a great experience. Friendly helpful staff and it looks like they have almost anything you need including baby chickens.

We went in to get bird seed and a burner barrel. We got our bird seed first and my husband even helped and elderly couple put a big bag of seed in their cart. Then after finally finding someone to see if they had any burn barrels in stock, this tiny young lady found one for us and came out of the back room toteing this huge barrel! Come to find out it was made in Fowlerville, MI! What a bonus, to buy one locally made! I will say they could use a few more people working the floor to help when you need help though.

Now that Walmart no longer sells ammunition for hand guns Ive been using FFH for my last minute ammo purchases. Normally I order in bulk online, but sometimes I just need a couple more boxes to make a range trip worth it, and when I do FFH is there to help me out.

This place sees a lot of turn-over in employees, so dont expect anyone to know the price of anything or where it is located. Information in general is scarce when it applies to anything in, or coming soon, to this store. The only time they are worth going to is when theyre running a sale, but make sure you price check with Tractor Supply before you buy ANYTHING! Frequently Family Farm & Home in Fenton is more expensive than anyone else in the area.

2022-04-08Love going in there when I have the time to be able to wander and look at everything. I always find new things I didnt know they carried before. They sell the soil I need for my plants as well amd I havent seen any other stores so far that carry it.

2022-05-14Family Farm and Home was my third stop today 5/14/22 in search of a Lawn Tractor. Found a Husqvarna Lawn Tractor and also a string trimmer. Had a good finance program, but what stands out here was a employee Brendon, had excellent customer service, had my needs in mine. Had me financed within minutes, explained extended warranty coverage as well as Husqvarna coverage. Anyway wanted to let the store know they need to hang onto him, he’s a asset to the store!

2022-05-17Had good experience with everyone there until I had to deal with the Manager Jeff. One of the Worst managers I’ve had to deal with. I was planning on returning and buying a much more expensive product but his attitude was so off putting I’d rather just sell the product online and take my further business to TSC or Rural king for the upgrade.

2022-03-29Seemed that the people I worked with were disinterested in my concerns and could not care less that I less to chicks. Wont be going there any more.I received a call from the manager, he was concerned with my issues. He promptly took care of the issue and was concerned that employees did not go above and beyond to make sure the customer is satisfied. From now on I will not leave a store without talking to a manager to make sure issues to become bigger problems. I am very happy with the way things turned out and will continue to shop here.
