2017-03-26This is an amazing program! I am so blessed to be a tiny part of it. I love the unique option to volunteer over night. This gives busy people like me a chance to get involved. There are so may ways to contribute to family promise. There is no excuse not to help out in some way be it physically or financially or both. My favorite part is being inspired by families (particularly single mothers) willing to do whatever it takes to improve their lives. Family promises works too! Ive seen lots of families achieve their goal to move into their own place. With all the churches in the Grand Rapids area no one should have to live on the streets. It is fun and rewarding to be a part of the family promises community.

2019-05-22Donate all your household items and furniture to this organization. They help get families back into a home, and they are good at it. If you cant drive a couch over to them no worries they will come and pick it up from your house. Very good organization that everyone in Grand Rapids should support.

2019-12-14I was very unfortunate to ever get involved with family promise. I received one of their restored manufactured home through their partners in housing program. The place was disgusting!! It was full of black mold, water damage and rot, etc. The program wont fix anything, let alone do it right. Please dont donate to them. They hide behind the non profit shield,. They are worse than slum lords.

2017-12-13Very unprofessional workers. Seth made appt to view our home then never showed up. Called a week later to ask to see the home.He completly had forgotten he made appt. I allowed him to make another .he was late showing up. THEN he said hed call me and let me know after he ran the numbers if he could buy the place. He never called . a week and a half later i had to call his supervisor to ask what was the reason they couldnt buy. Its Not that they didnt buy it was the fact of their unprofessionalism to keep appts. And return calls that they get a low review. Very lacking for dealing with the public.
