I was next door Famous Footwear but I gave it five stars because it looks very nice inside.
These shoes are beyond overpriced. The sales they have arent really sales as it seems they raise the prices to counter that. The limited staff they have was friendly, cant say they were necessarily helpful. Even the clearance section seemed to be a joke. Not on the top of the list for go tos.
When I walked in the store nobody greeted me, or asked me did I need any help. There was two workers, standing at the register having a side conversation, and the manger was putting tages on shoes. I was in there for over 30 minutes, and still didnt get acknowledge until I was at the checkout, then thats when the register operator put down her phone and greeted me. If my husband was with me, he would have walked out, he always says, we dont have to spend our money at places that doesnt have the common courtesy to speak, as if were the ones with the problem because we spending money in their establishment.
There was an African American lady and a fat older white man who were on shift while my little sister and I were looking around there. I had several pairs of shoes out because I was comparing them and deciding. They kept following us and he literally asked me to open my bag while I was in the store to find some adidas which were not in there but I happily showed him where they were, near me in the sales section as I was comparing them to what was on sale. I was VERY offended and embarrassed and my privacy felt invaded. My 14 year old little sister also said he kept staring her up and down and creeped her out because of it. Not in a suspecting way, in a gross way. I will not be coming back here again. I suggest finding better employees And don’t assume things, I hope he felt dumb when my bag was empty. He lost a sale because of this.
The gentleman and young lady very helpful and nice trying to get us the exact shoe size and design we needed well my daughter needed it was a great experience up at Allen Park and independence mall famous footwear. Customer service was decent, decently priced shoes and socks, sells on tons of the inventory and they offer a military discount and store was a tad messy but isnt that big of a deal, helpful and informative, etc.

The Allen Park location was very clean and organized. Associate greeted me almost immediately. Shoes were overpriced to me, even on clearance racks.

Rarely to find staff to assist you and if u were lucky to find one you need to pray so she/ he having good day and willing to help u . Display and collection beautiful th though.

2022-05-04This is like the 3rd time that I have ordered shoes and picked them up from this location and I love it! My purchase is always ready and Im out the door. I will return for more shoes. Staff was friendly and courteous.

2022-05-15Went to famous footwear on top of the hill, and the associate Logan was extremely helpful although they didnt have my size and shoes he called around and checked and applied the discounts to me for the shoes that they have for me that I purchased thank you Logan great job and keep up the good work famous footwear.

2021-05-24Customer service here is really good. There is a wide variety of shoes at very good prices. Unfortunately for me, they rarely have shoes above a size 14.

2019-04-05Rarely is it I can walk into a shoe store, pick out a pair, find the right size and go to the register in less than 20 minutes, let alone 2 pair but it happens every time I go into a Famous Footwear! This store was clean and organized. Nothing on the floor, boxes lined up in their correct rows and only one person working the store! I will be back

2021-01-23All kinds of boots were in sale! I was looking for well-made boots and found two pairs with everything I wanted. The high-priced boots were not much cheaper than they were originally, so I took away a star.

2018-04-07Worst customer service ever! I called about my pickup order, and the guy answered and I told him what I was calling about. He quickly put me on hold for 5 minutes. I hung up and called back. He then put me on hold again. Finally after 7 minutes he checked to see if my shoes that I already paid for were ready. He then told me they didn’t have them and they canceled my order a few days before, without even contacting me. He then put me on hold for another 5 minutes. Then a lady answered asking what she could help me with. I asked her if her co worker told her the situation and why I was calling, she then said rudely no and that he’s busy. I told her what was going on and she checked my order and told me the same thing the guy did. She then preceded to tell me to call around to different stores to see if they have the shoes that I ALREADY paid for. She had no care in the world and didn’t explain anything further with me. They were both so rude and talked to me like I was an idiot. She then rudely and quickly got off the phone with me. I wish I got there names. I will be writing their district manager an email. I used to be a store manager and would have been mortified if my employees talked to and handled customers in that way.

2020-01-12Sometimes they have a public restroom sometimes they dont. Not convenient to shop here when youre with 3 kids all under age 7 and they have to go. Hopefully someone in management sees this and also realizes in addition to the inconvenience that it is against City code (which makes it illegal) not to have a public restroom in an establishment. Not to mention the store associate was extremely rude.

2019-10-12Very pleased with the Sale Rep today...she wasnt hounding me like at other stores. I have RA & FIBROMYALGIA & NEUROPATHY & Stand working in a pharmacy for long hours. I bought BOBS & a pair of PUMAS. I am hoping they help my pain.
