Today we went for the first time to Farmhouse Coffee & Ice Cream specifically to get some of their Sundaes. We ordered the Brownie Sundae with chocolate ice cream and the Grasshopper with mint chocolate chip ice cream. Both were very good , but the whipped cream was limp and needs some work. We saw quite a few students there working at their tables. Good choices of coffee and food. The place is kind of hidden in the location where the old hardware store used to be but hopefully they can continue getting a lot of customers as it is a very nice home feeling restaurant.
This is a local coffee place right next to our house, the ambience is great and the service is amazing. We ordered mocha coffee which were really good!
Very nice and comforting place to sit. The staff was very nice and helpful. I went to try the dark hot chocolate but didn’t think it was chocolatey enough. The ice cream however was AMAZING! We had the Michigan pot hole flavor. Would go again to try more ice cream flavors!
It’s a nice place to hangout with friends and family. Apart from coffee and ice creams you get some sandwiches and there’s a good breakfast menu as well. The staff give you a homely feel and are very courteous. Their ice creams are from Guernsey in Northville. Their Banana pudding ice-cream is out of this world. The brownie sundae is delicious as well.
Cool coffee shop with lots of options and unique coffee creations. Employees were very nice and helpful with recommendations. Id like to go back and try some of the pastries they had in a display case. Lots of seating and tables if you want to meet someone for a chat. Will go back if in the area again.

Quaint little coffee shop with plenty of space indoor and outdoor for meetings and greetings. They serve a high quality coffee offering cappuccinos, lattes and other stars from the usual line up. Ive enjoyed trying old favorites as well as their house specialties. They also serve Guernsey ice cream by the scoop and as milkshakes! They offer breakfast sandwiches and fruit smoothies as well. Which are made fresh to order. Farmhouse Coffee & Ice cream is a fantastic local business to support.

What a nice gem that I recently discovered. Its a small ice cream shop with lots of custom flavors. The ice cream has a homemade rich taste to it. I also had a quite tasty macaroon. They serve drinks here as well which I did not have a chance to sample this time around; however, I will certainly be back to try something different. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. The location is comforting and clean. This will be the ideal place to go to once covid restrictions are completely lifted.

Everyone was so friendly I instantly felt like I was welcome, the decor is very quaint and cute, there is always enough parking in the back. The coffee is incredible the second I tried it I actually said wow. This is the place I will be recommending when Im asked for a good coffee place! Not to mention how cheap it is comparatively. Very excited to come back and try more drinks! Shame I dont live closer!

Nice little cafe. They sell a number of food and drink items, but I prefer their ice cream, which is delicious! This place gets crowded quickly, especially on hot days and the weekend. The staff is friendly and quick to take and make orders. Highly recommend!
We arrived at 8:05 PM and they were already closed. In the summer people and families will often go out for ice cream after dinner and most ice cream shops are open until 9 or 10. Might be worth adjusting summer hours to accommodate this business opportunity. Otherwise we like their coffee and ice cream.

A very nice local coffee experience. It is family owned and operated so you most often are talking to an owner. Friendly service and great coffee with a pastry or breakfast sandwich on the side. Other things too but I go for the coffee.
I work in Farmington Hills twice a week and got hooked on this place last year during the Covid closures. I will choose a small business over the big guys any day. I look forward to my days in the office so I can get my Dark Mocha Raspberry latte with oat milk! Amanda always does such a great job and knows my order when I walk in! I always tend to get the cinnamon coffee cake as well, it’s always warm and delicious. This coffee makes my coffee free drive from Brighton to Farmington Hills worth the wait in the mornings!
I stopped by here on my way to Southfield from Grand Rapids and I am so glad I did! I came in thinking I was going to get a frozen coffee drink but, once I went inside, the ice cream selection made me change my mind! I have never come across a cotton candy ice cream that I truly liked but they have one that is so incredibly delicious, i ended up ordering a triple scoop! I also ordered the turkey and cheddar samdwich and it was so good.....Im definitely going to make this a regular stop when I am passing through.Another thing that made this shop stand out from others is the service. There was a man and a woman behind the counter that were so friendly but not too overbearing like some places can be. They were just very pleasant to interact with and thats something I dont come across very often.All in all, I will be recommending this place to friends and will be back with my family very soon!

I’ve never gone out of my way to write a bad review on a business but after my experience today at farmhouse coffee I really could not hold back. Went there last week didn’t have an issue, went today again with my coworker and the blonde haired lady with the face shield made us feel so unwelcome and basically told us they couldn’t accommodate us at a table as it is ‘reserved’ for larger parties!! After the way she spoke to us and the dirty look she gave, we walked right out. We won’t be coming back which is unfortunate as the coffee is great, we just can’t believe how disrespectful the worker was to us - definitely just lot of business from us.
The cutest coffee and ice cream shop. The staff members were super nice. I was able to sample a few different flavors of ice cream (up to 3 samples) and they have flavored waffle cones.
We love that our family can come here for ice cream. Two of our kids have allergies to milk, egg, and nuts and they always have 4 vegan ice cream flavors that are safe for us! Their cafe miel is so good too... and the seasonal gingerbread latte is awesome! We also appreciate their friendly service and clean bathroom!

Absolutely ADORABLE little family owned coffee shop. The vibes are immaculate *chefs kiss*. Food and drinks are delicious and decently priced and staff is so friendly and warm! I plan on coming here whenever Im in the area ❤️❤️❤️Oh! They also use eco-friendly/recycled cups, sleeves, etc, which is really rare for a small business but I absolutely love that they are probably spending a little bit more on supplies to reduce their carbon footprint!!!!

This place is so cute. The gentleman who crafted my sundae was friendly and took his time with his work, even though we came in late in the evening. He even offered samples. Theyve got a great selection of ice cream flavors, coffee, tea, pastries, and other such treats. Looks like a great place to hang out with friends.
Excellent find for icecream and treats with a nice selection. of coffee and tea. Used to located in the Franklin village and now occupies the end of a multi-retail strip. Enjoyed our banana no split treat and a raspberry white chocolate scone.
Great local coffee shop and had two great lattes while we were there. Next time I go I want to try all their awesome looking food and ice cream. Their lattes were the perfect pairing of spring espresso with the right amount of sweet you want in the mint mocha.
I honestly do no spend my money at this business, however my wife will. From what she has told me, they want to cater to just white people, and kinda prefer not want to have black customers. Just sharing my opinion...
Ive gone here twice, given that my usual Starbucks choice has been an absolute mess in the mornings lately, and Ive been very happy I did. Its clean, cheery, and welcoming. Ive had both plain iced coffee and an iced latte and really enjoyed both of them. If youre sick of the stress of Starbucks, stop in here on your way to the office.

What a cute place! My family met my husbands parents here for ice cream. We each drive about 45 minutes to meet here and it was worth the drive. The incredible ice cream (the Michigan Pot Hole was awesome) wasnt even the best part. The laid back feeling and ambience made for such a nice evening together. I absolutely plan to be back for breakfast sometime soon!

Excited to finally see a local coffee house in the Farmington area! The coffee here is pretty good, though I dont think its fresh roasted. Some drinks have more flavor than others so, if youre adamant about taste, better to let your barista know. Hope you live on. 🖖
Local Coffee house and ice cream shop, sandwiches, muffins, cookies are delicious, and they make sure that the place is always clean and sanitized they clean the entrance door after each customer leaving the store. I love supporting local coffee shops because these small businesses are the backbone of our economy. They offer Grub hub and call ahead ordering, and they will bring it out to your car, so you do not have to go in.
Great local shop. Didnt have the coffee but the ice cream and sorbet were great. Real friendly and quick service. Has a cozy atmosphere--great for catching up with friends. Location makes it easy to meet people off 696
Most of their ice cream is Ashbys or Guernsey, so they have high quality and unique flavors. I was surprised by how good the banana pudding ice cream was! Owners are also personable and enjoy talking to their customers. I would highly recommend this place.
My first time visiting Farmhouse after a craving for hand packed ice cream. The service was great and the atmosphere seemed diverse and pleasant. My single scoop of cookies and cream and choc chip cookie dough was reasonably priced and was gone before I got to the library! Very delicious!
Amazing, food was great! Staff was even better! A beautiful building. I loved the art work all the books and board games you can play great place to hang with friends or study I love the upstairs loft. They have the best raspberry hot chocolate I have ever had I love this place :)

Great coffee shop. I love the lemonade and my girlfriend loves their seasonal lavender drink. The customer service is great and asked a couple questions since it was my second time there and they answered all of them with no issues. The environment is very cool too, relaxing, clean and comfortable. Id recommend visiting.
Their drinks were way too sweet for me. It tasted like I was straight up drinking syrup out of a bottle. Could only take few sips. Shouldnt come here for coffee.
Awesome little coffee shop I just discovered less than a 1/4 mile from my house and on my way to work!! Amanda, the owner, was super friendly and kindly filled my own mug for me! How eco friendly is that! I will definitely be back here! I love buying local!!
I ordered the macadamia iced coffee and it was way too sweet. Im very young so usually I would like a semi sweet drink but this drink had way too much sweet flavoring in it. Mixing it up helped a little bit but when I got home I poured a whole bottle of water in it and it was finally to my liking. I would visit here again because the barista who makes my drink could make it completely different and taste pretty damn good, but today was not one of those days!!
Very cute and nice atmosphere. I enjoyed the setting . I was concerned when I ordered a Sunday the front counter staff said he didnt know how to make a Sunday because he was new and was not trained. I was okay and understanding... he was a nice guy... so I ordered 2 scoops in a cup with hot fudge, whip cream, and cherry. :) he was able to make that.... ada boy! Very nice kid.... enjoyed it
Never ever heard of Farmhouse Coffee and Ice Cream before, until a friend of mine took me there, and I was asking why are we going here and my friend told me that I would see soon enough.The ice cream they have to offer is simply amazing! We are talking, these guys know what they are doing and how to do it, and do it well indeed.Farmhouse Coffee and Ice Cream Dominates! I take my ice cream very seriously. When I come to a place specifically for ice cream, they better deliver. Farmhouse didnt just deliver, they blew my mind, they rocked my world.Well worth making the drive if you dont live nearby. I wouldnt write it if I didnt mean it. There are very few things we have control over in our lives : our word, integrity, honor and honesty. Those are important to me, so I dont just throw words around willy-nilly.Now go and treat yourself the way you deserve to be treated!

My friends took me to this place they had discovered and had good things to say about. This is a nice and cozy place to hang out in a group. I thoroughly enjoyed the Hot chocolate in almond milk that I ordered. They also have some board games and books to keep you entertained.

I reside a good ways from this place, which is why I dont go as often. However, each time I come to the area, I stop here. The service is always superb, and the coffee does not taste super acidic. Its a nice clean spot as well. Id recommend everyone in the area to stop in when you can.
I always say coffee smells better than it tastes but here it tastes just as good as it smells if not better. They have some really great coffee here and super nice people. I had coffee and ice cream it was perfect!
Talk about the pefect lazy Sunday spot! This place was great. Cute interior made from an older farm house as the name alludes. Staff was down to earth and the food was simple yet delicious. They even have a small dairy bar with vegan options! Grab a coffee while your there because my soy capacinno topped a starbucks run any day. We will be back!
Cute and cozy place with the amazing combination of coffee and ice cream (although interestingly no ice cream + coffee drinks that I saw?) They also have some other typical cafe food items. They have some signautre interesting coffee combinations. Free wi-fi makes this a good place to work or study, until mid-afternoon when gobs of children start arriving for the ice cream! Staff was friendly and helpful as well. I will definitely be back!

We really wanted to like this sweet little cafe. I was given a salad with mixed greens that were mushy & black...twice, and my husbands cafe mocha tasted horrible. 2 stars because they were friendly and we liked the atmosphere.

This is a beautifully converted farmhouse right off the main street and tucked behind the Market Basket. It is very inviting and welcoming with cheery decor but subdued so not to overwhelm to senses. This homey atmosphere has the smell of coffee and soft easy-listening (Jack Johnson, Jason Mraz, etc) music floating from the ceilings. As I sit here on a mid Saturday morning, I recommend this cafe for its lack of Starbucks-esque bustle and noise and for its family friendly service, large space, plentiful tables and welcoming atmosphere. If you choose to stop by, you will not be disappointed. Its Franklin Villages hidden gem!
A quaint coffee house located in a cozy town. I visited here for the first time recently and liked the small-town feel. I was debating between 3 and 4 stars, but decided to give the benefit of the doubt, because they have some great outdoor seating (for when the weather warms). I will definitely be back later on in the season to try some of the ice cream.I was actually disappointed by the coffee; it tasted like the water they used had been highly processed (i.e. tasted like city water), which was quite off-putting.Another disappointment I had was that the description of this coffee house on google says this mainstay offers house-roasted espresso. However, when I asked if they roasted their own beans, the barista said no; the owner of this place selected the type of beans they want to have roasted, but they dont actually roast it themselves. If thats the case, how can you call it house-roasted?!?!
Took kids for ice cream there, but couldn’t resist to have a single serve ourselves. It was delicious! Best ice cream in the area, and great service too! We will be back!
My wife loves this place. They have a lot of options for all kinds of dietary needs. She chooses Farmhouse hands down over any of the box coffee shops.
Quaint little coffee shop. The young men at the counter provided excellent service!!! Ice cream is really good and the coffee (both the house blend & Ethopian) is perfect! A good place to meet with people. There are outdoor tables and they have Wi-Fi as well.

Really enjoyed the no sugar added apple pie ice cream. I didnt ask how much non added sugar there was ... ignorance and all that. Turkey sandwich was ok - good, not exceptional. Atmosphere was great.

Weve been coming for a while, but this visit is making me change my mind about returning. Scoop sizes vary from employee to employee. I barely got an round scoop for a single, my scoop was hollow in the middle and my daughter got what looked like a double for her single. I cant pay their prices for a skimpy scoop.

This is a cool place. Very mellow and tranquil compared to the green mermaid place. I would definitely go here again. And the coffee was how coffee should be. Flavor without the burnt taste.

Went there for a business meeting.Such a quaint place. I am glad see that they found a new location. Staff was friendly and efficient. My only complaint is that they had the air on an it was 60 degrees outside. I cut my visit short because I was freezing.

2021-12-05This is a really nice place for Coffee. An actual try put location if you are fed up of those chain houses.. it offers all the standard coffee options along with decent options for food and snacks!They definitely do have a lot of ice cream flavors as well!

2022-01-15It is because of people like this and businesses like this that tourism is flourishing and revitalizing Detroit. Quality product excellent service and the friendliest hardest working people that I had experienced all day. It was the warmest most inviting feeling on a super cold day you just wanted to sit there in their shop all day drinking coffee and eating their ice cream, and I am certain they would be happy for your patronage to let you sit there all day the owners were just so super nice!PS, If the owners are reading this I dont think youre charging enough.

2022-01-06Hands down best coffee shop in town! This is my familys favorite place to go for coffee and food! The coffee is 100x better than any Starbucks drink youll get, and youre supporting a local business! Always good pricing, and good choices. They even offer dairy free options which my daughter loves. The staff is always amazing, friendly and patient! They treat you like family and make every stop in an enjoyable one. You wont find a better place!

2022-02-28We love in Cincinnati, Ohio. We visit Ann Arbor frequently for sporting events. Every time we come here we make time to come to the farmhouse. The coffee is out of this world good as is the service. The location has parking, is easy to get to and worth every penny.

2020-03-13This is a great place for a coffee and relaxing. My boyfriend and I love coming here to enjoy one of their many signature drinks and chat for a bit. The environment is laid back so it’s perfect for studying as well. They have ice cream which we’ve had a couple times that is absolutely wonderful as well! The employees actually speak to you and are pleasant. We love coming here!

2021-03-07This was such a sweet find. The place was spotless clean, social distanced seating, felt safe while I was here. Their soup of the day sells quickly so be sure to come early if you want those.I also had a really pleasant drink: steamed whole milk with a pump of lavender — sweet and simple. I think it’s brilliant especially for those who are feeling caffeine free.Will return again fo sho.
