(I’d like to be as fair and objective as possible)However, my family and I were very disappointed with the service and overall care that we received from this program. As a parent, the pain of struggling to find an outlet for a curious child’s mind is a challenge today with the constant battle of overstimulation. We’ve been gifted with a son who loves the outdoor and enjoys interacting with his environment. So having to endure the heartbreak of telling my son he can no longer attend the nature school (because he’s not the appropriate age at the commencement of the session) is almost unbearable.Cov!d has robbed our children of so much, but regardless we will keep it pushing.I wish in the future that the directors would take the time to assess each child’s ability. The key to blessings and opportunity is your ability to adapt and be flexible to people and circumstances.I wish we could say we we experienced a great program but rather, it’s just FOREVER left a sour taste with us.
A fun place for kids and big kids 👍🏼😊 the trails are nice and you can go for a short walk or a long jog without a problem. There are Residential Deer that are not afraid of people (please don’t have your children chase them or startle them). There are birds that come and go, but not too many which I am surprised. This is a place to get away for a few minutes and get some fresh air. No dogs are allowed at this park.
This place is awesome! The nature center itself is well worth the 30 min trip, but the trails around the center are also great for kids to explore. Not too far from the nature center (different parking lot) there is a nice playground, and a lot of open space for kids to run and play.
It was great place to go to observe many different types of species of birds, squirrels, rabbits, it was quite, has a trails to walk, has a bon fire pit to sit around with family and friends, picnic tables, free to get in, lots of parking, handicap parking,, no animals are allowed which is understandable with the public walking around. It good place for quite time
My grandson loves the FH Nature Center, which we visit often, so we thought it would be the perfect spot for his birthday party. This is such a wonderful place and the party was fantastic ! Robin was our nature leader and party hostess for the day and she did an outstanding job leading the children in animal activities, including a hike and some hands-on critter interaction. She also made the party room the perfect place for the festivities. What a great place !!
What a wonderful little gem in the community! This small facility has lots to offer- bird watching bay, coloring tables, pup tent to play, kayak to explore and more. Features a large taxidermy collection as well as a few live animals- fish, turtles, snakes, mice, and bunnies.Staff are kind and courteous. We will definitely be back again! Thanks!
Wonderful place to spend a few hours with the kids on a Sunday. Many things to keep them interested. Live turtles, bee hives, fish, snakes, etc., hands on stuff like fossils and unusual rocks, and alot of stuffed (real) animals. When youre done inside, right outside there are well kept nature trails to explore and picnic areas. Its open to the public with plenty of parking and totally free. Truly a nice place and one of the many reasons why Farmington/Farmington Hills is a great place to live.
Best place for walking and having outdoor fun in Farmington. They have trails, they have a playground, they have a splash pad, they have educational toys, they have events, they have wild critters all over, they have Pokémon stops, they have drinks & snacks for post-hike; this place has it all. And its all very well-maintained.
Beautiful historic home that has great conference room for large meeting, 2 medium sized rooms for decent sized meeting and 1 smaller room for a private meeting of 12 or so. 3 of the four have sinks and counter space. Perfect place and beautiful setting for any occasion.

In the winter these trails are used for cross-country skiing. A large picnic area is located at the north end of the park. It includes a splash pad, group picnic shelter, youth playground, in-ground grills, two sand volleyball courts, an in-line hockey rink and six horseshoe pits.Great to spend the Day with Kids all year long or bring visitors to explore

2018-04-27This is a small, hands-on nature center that is particularly great for small children. With lots of exhibits they can touch, its a great way for them to learn about the parkland area around them. Theres a lot of trails in this park but theres a small trail just for kids that also has some exhibits as well, and a small garden out back. Bathrooms on site. Excellent parking. Wheelchair accessible. Cons: although the larger park itself is a nice size, I do wish the Nature Center was a bit bigger.

2021-07-28The Farmington hills nature center is an absolutely amazing place to hang out with your family. I love to go and see the deer and the hawk and theres also a really neat primitive camera that you can walk by. Its great for walks with friends as you can see all of the different habitats displayed there natively. Theres a very long path that goes around the perimeter of the area that they always seem to maintain and expand on constantly.Love the pond we always see lots of wildlife there thank you so much for being a great asset to the community.
