Got the 30 dollar tenders meal. Chicken tasted like fish due to I’m guessing what was dirty unchanged oil. Hush puppies were super dark colored and poofed in my mouth at first bite. Don’t waste your time.
I had a glowing review to begin with but it all changed when I saw the MOLDED strawberry parfait pictured.The chicken was flavorful and hot as advertised. The baked beans were delicious. The hush puppies were the best I’ve ever had. BUT, that parfait ruined my experience totally. The bad part is, I ate some it before the mold was present.~WARNING~The Strawberry Parfait I purchased but did not realize it was not refrigerated at the counter and that was very alarming. It was also $7 which is way too much but after I tried some and refrigerated it, a few hours later I find MOLD on the dessert. That is uncalled for and it has now changed my thoughts on this establishment.
Was very skeptical about this place but decided to try it. So glad i did, the food is amazballs. The fat daddy sandwich is freaking awesome, the Best chicken sandwich in all of the Detroit area.The chicken tenders are gigantic and tasty as well my kiddos couldnt finish all of them.The potato salad is quite simply divine. Ive never had better.seriously good food. I think I found my new favorite take out place.
Delicious! We got the family meal with 10 mild chicken tenders, cheese fries, and Mac and cheese. It was so much food! Great deal! Everything was super flavorful. The Mac and cheese was nice and peppery. The cheese fries look like plain cheese fries but the seasoning was so good! The chicken although mild was very well seasoned. The pickles on top gave them a nice salt and vinegar taste too. I would definitely come back. Wish it was closer to me!

Fat Daddys definitely has one of the best chicken sandwiches that I have ever had. The fries also go pretty hard. Also, for the money, this place is a great value. I was more than full for only spending 12 bucks.

Im here to tell you it absolutely lives up to the hype.After having lived just outside Nashville for a year, Id developed a deep affinity for hot chicken, and the experience that comes with a legendary hot chicken spot...there are a handful of standard go-tos in Nashville that my friends and I would visit, and after being back in Michigan for a few years I was really nostalgic for that kind of experience. Let me tell you... Fat Daddys is the ticket. It provides exactly the experience and food that Im looking for in a hot chicken joint, and does so with aplomb.The food is fantastic, the portions are huge, and its hot without being so hot that youre going to be in pain the next day. Can you really ask for more? I submit that you cannot. I will absolutely be back, and do yourself a favor, join me. If youre remotely interested in the best Hot Chicken youll find in Metro Detroit, look no further than Fat Daddys.
I usually only have great things to say about this place. Put the last couple times my food wasnt up to par. Whether it be not done all the way or just flat out burnt. Today I ordered the cod dinner I was looking forward to it. The last time I had it it was amazing. Today when I got home I discovered that they had served me some middle school fish sticks. Absolutely disgusting, if you dont have the right product in stock dont put it on the menu. I am so disappointed right now but I will never go here again.

Good experience, not great, with my pickup order. mac n cheese wasnt that good. the mild chicken tenders were the perfect amount of spice for me. cole slaw was great. chicken cheese fries were really good. ordered the strawberry crunch cake and was given red velvet which I absolutely hate.... didnt notice til i got all the way home so i threw it away ($5). they had also forgot my waffles so i had to go back inside and wait for them. i will go back sometime for sure with my fingers crossed. 😊
I was what side I wanted with my order, I ordered greens and then they charged me an extra dollar for it,I have no idea why.nbd, just irritating. The chick at the front desk was coughing and not even covering her mouth, no mask. Im not even a mask person I just didnt like that she thought that was acceptable. I think its weird that they charge you a dollar for hot sauce or any dipping sauce. Not even one was included. Chicken was okay. Asked them to separate the waffles from the chicken, because of a child not wanting chicken touching her waffles, the request was acknowledged but not done.

Yeah, this is about as close as youre going to get. Its funny that people in Nashville dont really know what Nashville hot chicken is lol. I have family that live down there. I digress, this place is good-home-cooked chicken thatll sure knock your socks off. If the price of the sandwich doesnt do it first ;)
I ordered a waffle and 1/4 chicken. I mustve got the last piece of chicken because it was TINY!! I was very upset about the chicken. I hope this doesnt happen again. I really like the food here!
I always get the 3 chicken tenders with a side of mac and cheese and it is SO GOOD. Whenever I am in the area I make a note to stop by and grab some because it is the best fried chicken I think I have ever had.
When they say too damn hot, they mean it. We went out of our way to try after finding them on Instagram and it was well worth it. The chicken is amazing but the catfish was my favorite. Will definitely return.
I got this doordashed to my work. Everything was hot and fresh. I got the double up and the Mac and cheese. Chicken juicy on the inside and crispy outside. Perfect amount of spice & toppings. Just all around goodnessssss. ! 😋
Good flavorful chicken sandwiches...the sandwiches are top with the chicken, coleslaw, pickles and their homemade light spicy mayo sauce. Sandwich comes with fries, I substituted for collard greens, they gave me the fries anyway :-) I also ordered peach cobbler and strawberry cake as well.Chicken sandwich was crispy with balanced seasoning.Collard greens, I was not too crazy about, tasted like the canned brand Glory collard greens.Fries were super crispy and delicious!Peach cobbler I was not too crazy about...the cinnamon was not balanced, contained toooo much.Strawberry cake was ok, it was from Angel bakery on Fort st in Lincoln Park. I have tasted better.
** Fair warning ** mild is more of a medium and hot is on fire. Learned the hard way. With that said sandwiches and chicken and waffles were very tasty! Leave the spice for the sandwiches and make your chicken and waffles country style.. the spice for the waffle Chicken and waffles threw it off for me. With these corrections its a high recommend.
The chicken was all breading and what little bit of chicken was in it was dried up. The sides are really good but the chocolate cake was very dried out also.
I ordered a 1/2 chicken dark & got 2 drumsticks and 2 backs for $15 i was highly disappointed, no thighs the chicken was burnt & I could have done better if I went to the kfc or popeyes & the chicken would have been seasoned a lot better & a lot cheaper, they got me 1 time and never again, I mean I got 2 backs & 2 drumsticks for $15 thats crazy & the worst chicken i ever had in life should have went to churches and put hot sauce on it I would have been better off
Got a family deal... Lots of chicken but small sides come with it. Certainly not enough for a family. The food was all very good except the greens. They were super smokey flavored and grainy. I would certainly order again but double up on the sides for a family in the future.
Far and away the best fried chicken sandwich around. Generous portion of chicken and plenty of fixins. Battered fries come with it. So good that it makes other attempts seem frivilous and pathetic.The drinks come in cans, no fountain drinks and hot is hot, not taco bell hot. Actually hot.
Over charged, food very dark bad grease ?, chicken under cooked, third time visiting so disappointed, 1st time wonderful, 2nd time not so good, third time sealed the deal, I wont go back. Spent $68.00.
Fat Daddy’s.HOT Chicken & Waffles just in case you need another chicken sandwich choice.I had the “Fat Daddy” It was very good. The price was a bit high considering the competition. I paid $11.00 for sandwich and fries. About twice the price of Popeyes or Chic-Fil-A. The food was quality I can’t argue that. I am sure the waffles are also great. I was able to sample the Macaroni and cheese as well and again very good. Friendly service but only beverages are in cans. Good for on the go. Will I return? Yes. Most assuredly yes. Support local business it almost always the best choice.
It was delicious one thing I would add to the store would be either pictures of the food on the wall, or pics on the menu so people can decide easier . Other then that chicken was HUGE ! Couldve used more sauce but I get why the dont put as much

Im pretty disappointed. Ive been wanting to try this place for awhile now and finally got around to it.I wanted this to be good, but unfortunately I cant say that it was my favorite. The fries and mac & cheese were pretty good but the chicken sandwich fell short. Really short.The toppings and spice that came with the chicken sandwich definitely helped a tad, but it was really just a crunchy, too crispy, definitely overdone, chicken skin sandwich. There was barely any meat and I feel it did not reach its full potential.I like to give the benefit of the doubt and Im always up to try it again to see if it was just an off night.
Purchased 2 Family Tender meals at $30 each, because normally 10 tenders does not feed my family. So total of $60. Turned out to be huge tenders, so I guess the price was acceptable since we had plenty of left overs. Also purchased a Fat Daddy sandwich for a friend who is disabled. He called me, just praising this sandwich. He said the chicken breast on the sandwich was huge and delicious. A few weeks later, I purchase 4 sandwiches for me and my family. Menu says jumbo boneless chicken, which we thought to be boneless chicken breast like everyone else, and as my friend had told me he had when I bought him the sandwich weeks prior. Nope...highly anticipated the sandwich, and nope...it was boneless thigh, NOT breast. I re-read the menu, and scene that they only stated boneless chicken, not the actual cut. I called, and was told that you can upgrade to chicken breast. The sandwich is already $11 dollars with fries. Thats a lot for a Boneless thigh...one of the cheapest cuts of meat on a chicken, if not THE cheapest cut on a chicken. Oil did not appear to have been changed, since the batter on the chicken tasted burnted. Had high expectations...but will not go again, except maybe for the tenders at 10 for $30, so long as they keep the jumbo Tenders. But still seems expensive.

I have been here twice now and have had the tenders and the mac daddy sandwich. Both of my meals have been excellent. The hush puppies and mac n cheese is top notch. I will be at least a weekly customer from here on! Also as a lover of hot and spicy, this place delivers the heat. The hot heat level has a nice kick to it. But the too damn hot was perfect for me since its ghost pepper.
The chicken here is terrific. I ordered takeout from here a few months ago and I was quite impressed. The chicken was crispy and flavorful.Overall, this place gets 5 stars!
Wow! Amazing flavor, truly wonderful folks running the joint, and very authentic. The chicken was so tender and moist. It explodes with fantastic flavor. Very impressive to say the least. The chocolate cake is incredible. The Mac n cheese topped off a great meal.
I live in Toledo Ohio and I visited here for lunch while I was in Riverview for work. I wanted to support a black business, and Im so glad they were here! The food and service is amazing! I had the 5 tenders and 2 waffles and it was so bomb! I got my chicken mild and it still had a little kick. Next time Ill ask for country style lol. Everyone was so nice. The cashier was so friendly and welcoming. She even remembered my name! I brought chicken home for my partner. He loves his food spicy so he wanted the hottest they had. I called back to the restaurant once I got home to let them know he said the chicken is too hot! He NEVER ever says anything is hot but this got him! We were very pleased with the food and well definitely be back, even if Im not there for work!
Great food, better than kuzzos in Detroit for by far. Chicken had a nice crispy coating that didnt fall off of it while you are eating. And was still tasty and not dry at all inside.
I had their chicken sandwich at mgm grand Detroit and it was absolutely terrible. The meat looked like mystery meat not even chicken and after one bite I felt terrible. I feel sick to my stomach while writing this. DO NOT EAT THIS GARBAGE.
If you havent made your way, please believe it, you need to. The chicken is perfect and made to order. No sitting under heat lamp here. Who can beat that, and doesnt love fresh chicken?! And they are helping employ the future. Make your way ASAP!!!!!
This place is a hidden gem downriver! I would prefer this over any “fast-food” joint. My fiancé and I discovered this place through a friend, and have been obsessed with chicken sandwiches since our trip to Nashville. This place is 100% better than any chicken sand which I’ve have. Plus, their hushpuppies are incomparable.Highly recommend putting this place on your radar next time you’re in town!
The chicken quality was sub-par, I felt like all I ate was breading. The flavoring was lacking, and the mac and cheese was stale. Would never recommend. I spent over $100, tried multiple things and all were disappointing
This was hands down the best fried chicken sandwich that I have ever had. I ordered theFat Daddy. It was ginormous!!! It took me three bites to even get to the bun. Extremely crispy. Extremely flavorful. Chicken was moist like you want in and not dry like you would expect for such a giant crispy monster. I will be back for sure. The sugar mama sandwich sounds like it might take a few months off of your life but completely worth it...
If you dont at least stop here and try this chicken you are seriously messing your life up... I mean totally blowing it. It was the best take out Ive had in a long time! Do yourself a favor and check these guys out.
The Peach Cobbler is fake. I think it’s peaches a whole lot of sugar and something like oats. There’s no “cobbler” or bread. They charge $5 for a single serving as if it was real cobbler.
I cant help but keep coming back to this place. Grabbed lunch with my lady for my birthday to take home with us.While the Fries dont hold up super well after being in a Styrofoam container (what fries do?) Everything else was phenomenal as always.Cant wait to try the new location closer to home!
Excellent meals ! Hubby had Fat Daddy sandwich with mild sauce. Really enjoyed it and said the mild had just the right amount of kick. I had 3 JUMBO chicken tenders, country style. Had amazing flavor. Portions are HUGE. We have enough leftovers for a second meal each. Well worth the try !

We drive over a hour just to try the chicken sandwich and oh my goodness we were not disappointed! The sandwich was MASSIVE, breaded, seasoned & fried perfectly. The staff were extremely nice and had our order out less then 10 minutes. Definitely best fried chicken sandwich in MI
I was greeted with smiles and knowledgeable staff. I’ve been craving a good chicken sandwich and the photos I seen people posting online looked fantastic. I went with the Fat Daddy chicken sandwich (mild) with fries. My wife when with a chicken breast (hot) with cole slaw. While I waited, the owner came out and introduced himself and asked us our names. He had a great attitude and was super friendly. The food was really good and didn’t disappoint my high expectations. My wife and I both agreed that Fat Daddy’s just made it in the take out rotation. I will certainly recommend your establishment to family and friends.

My wife and I couldnt wait for this place open. So when it did we took the first opportunity to try it out. We were blown away on how good the chicken was. My wife got the mild chicken and waffle. (On the right) I got the 2 damn hot with fries (left). It was amazing. It is a must try place for Nashville hot chicken. The waffle had great flavor as well. We got dessert as well. The banana pudding and German chocolate cake. My wife loved the pudding. I was let down on the cake. Little dry and lacking flavor. If all fairness the cake is from a local bakery not made in house. Still getting 5 stars for the flavor of the chicken. This place is my new favorite chicken place.
My go to place for chicken sandwiches. This is the only, actual Nashville hot style chicken place in the area as far as I know, and it’s amazing! The spice levels are spot on, so I don’t know why so many people are commenting about it being spicier than stated. This isn’t a place you should expect “fast food” level spice where the hot barely tastes like mild. The hot is ACTUALLY hot, so if you like super spicy food I would recommend the extra hot. The flavor is great even when the spice level increases, too. The fries are some of the best I’ve ever had, and as others have mentioned, the comeback sauce is what pulls everything together. I always get a few extra sides of the sauce to dip my fries in. The coleslaw is also amazing, it even has some spice to it which I love. I am not a huge fan of the Mac n cheese, I think it lacks a bit of salt and flavor but I still give this place 5 stars because of how good everything else is, and the customer service is always great too!
My husband and I decided to try The Fat Daddy - jumbo, boneless chicken breast, cole slaw, comeback sauce, pickles on a brioche bun with fries included. I had no spice, my husband had hot. We both agreed it was the best chicken sandwich we ever had and the fried were absolutely delicious. This is going to be one busy place!
These reviews cannot be serious..... this was the worst sandwich I’ve probably ever had. pure greasy breading. There was barely even a piece of chicken LOL, place is way too expensive for what they put out. and get “Detroit” out of the name..
Drove all the way from Grass Lake to experience Fat Daddys.What a experience it was.My wife and I ordered the signature Fat Daddy sandwich meal.My wife was full halfway thru her sandwich and I was Happy to help her finish it.Definitely will visit again.Food was delicious.Cant wait for the Ann Arbor store to open.5 BIG thumbs up.

Been here 3 different times trying out the place and honestly can say they over season and over cook the food especially the fish. Mac & cheese was bland and the collard green isnt worth trying out. Tried out the catfish and the perch and both was absolutely awful. Way too much breading on the fish being very hard to eat, crunchy fish is more like it. Every time I ordered the chicken sandwich they were very greasy and over seasoned. Only thing good here is the dessert and fries.
I wanna marry whoever makes the mac n cheese here. The fries and chicken are fire 🔥😋 but sadly the prices here are mad high so I only come here when I get my tax return.

Not very tasty. A lil on the greasy side. String Beans were good, but overall they had nice size wings. The Only problem was: the plain fried chicken was on the burnt side, and greasy.

It was good tasting food, however I found it to be quite heavy. We ordered the Fat Daddys sandwich, one mild and the other not spicy, however the one which was not supposed to be hot was somewhat hot and the one which was supposed to be mild was extremely spicy. The sides we chose were fries and hot baked beans. I personally did not like the flavor of beans but the fries were good. The service was fast and they brought the food to the car after we went in to pay.

Absolutely amazing chicken sandwich! I dont eat pickles or slaw so my sandwich was just chicken, their comeback sauce, and bread. Even with the very basic sandwich, I will still say this is one of (if not THE) best chicken sandwiches I have ever had. It really was so juicy, flavorful (both the mild AND hot are full of flavor), crispy, and tender. Fries are also amazing!The one thing I will say is that I was disappointed in the sides. Tiny serving for what youre paying and the mac and cheese was really just not good. My kids wouldnt even eat it. I will say though, once I bit into the chicken sandwich, I didnt even care anymore. Get the chicken and fries and you will not be disappointed!!!
Tried Fat Daddys for the first time yesterday and was super impressed. We ordered a (hot) Fat Daddy, 1/4 Dark (mild) and Waffle, and a side of collard greens. The portions were generous and will definitely fill you up. The sandwich was a delicious mess! Youll need plenty of napkins but its worth it! The heat on the chicken was intense (in a good way), so if youre not crazy about spicy food go with the mild or country style. The waffle was crispy and fluffy and tasted great with the mild chicken and pickles. All around a good experience, and I definitely recommend Fat Daddys.

Wife and daughter did carry out and what a pleasant surprise. Chicken and waffles rocked but if you not use to heat go mild. I had the fat daddy, a most excellent sandwich and the French fries were very good. Oh, lets not forget the collard greens and hush puppies, you will not be disappointed.

I had heard wonderful things about this place so my son & I were excited to try it. First, the staff was super friendly & knowledgeable about the items. The food came up quickly. We both ordered the Fat Daddy (sandwich). The portion was huge. Great amount of fries & the sandwiches were huge. I got mine without any heat. The breading was fabulous but I didnt care for the actual chicken. I had assumed the boneless chicken was white meat but it wasnt. I am not a fan of dark meat At All, so I barely ate my $11 sandwich :( My son got his Hot, it was pretty spicy! He enjoyed it. Portion wise, he was only able to eat half. Overall flavor was good and customer service was great. I was just totally bummed that I didnt know, it wasnt all white meat chicken.
Living in Kentucky a few years ago, I developed a taste for Nashville Hot Chicken sandwiches, of which there were numerous restaurants devoted to the concept. Upon moving up to Michigan, I was sad to learn that this particular cuisine is hard to come by! I have tried a few local Nashville Hot Chicken sandwiches that were mere pretenders to the throne. One eatery that shall remain unnamed even tried to pass off a slider with Franks Hot Sauce as Nashville-style, which was definitely a disappointing experience.Although Fat Daddys is a good 45 minutes from where I live, I have to say the drive was worth it; they are the real deal. There are levels of heat to pick from (which is standard) and their version of hot lived up to the name. I also had the seasoned fries and baked beans, which were both tasty. Portions were generous as well. I will definitely be back to try the chicken and waffles, which is also a favorite of mine. Highly recommended!

My son I visited for the first time today. Met one of the owners and he and the rest of the staff were friendly. The food was incredible. I had the 14 dark chicken with waffle hot, my son the tenders mild. Both were excellent. The blend of the heat from the chicken and the sweet of the syrup was terrific. It sounds weird but do yourself a favor and try it. My only complaint is that it was a little overpriced. $10-11 would be about right.

This place is the current leader for best spicy chicken sandwich. It topped Popeyes on my list. Get the Hot, skip the Mild. Its perfect, and their collard greens were really good too. The guys in the restaurant were really friendly and were already talking about the next time were going back. Ill be very surprised if theres a better spicy chicken sandwich in Detroit.

Fat Daddys is quickly finding its spot as the best fried chicken restaurant downriver. They give generous portions, provide a good range of spice, and offer the best chicken and waffles Ive ever had. Ive had both their chicken tenders + waffles and their big daddy chicken sandwich. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for some fried chicken. The price is well worth the product. Im looking forward to see what their future holds.

The food here is so good! You can tell they really care about quality. The chicken is tender, moist and cooked perfectly. This reminds me of food you would find in somebodys grandmothers kitchen. The comeback sauce is delicious! Give them a try, they deserve the support during these tough times. You wont regret it, the food is outstanding!
First off I’m going to start by saying if I could give this place 0 stars I would...we recently tried this new restaurant in our area and too our surprise this place is not worth trying at all. From the overly sized JUMBO wings to the mac and cheese that was full of cheese than Mac to the can of Glory greens that was full of liquid smoke and vinegar this is one of those places where the desserts probably taste better than the food. I was highly disappointed and the quality of food I was served. Something new to try but definitely won’t be going back. Clean and Quiet atmosphere friendly and outgoing staff but the food most definitely need some work!!! Further more the prices is overly expensive. And they need to stop putting all those pickles on the food!!!!
Had burnt chicken..meat was gray and had a sour smell to it...mac & cheese was dry AF...was more like noodles and spices..spent 69 dollars on food just to walk it to the trash! Oh yeah they strawberry cake looks good..but dry like its been there for 3 weeks
Got the strips TDH, too damn hot, which had really good heat, but it wasnt overwhelming. chicken was juicy. very well done, this place has it goin on. not inexpensive, but youre paying for the quality.
I have got to tell you. I just experienced the best chicken sandwich. I have ever eaten. I am 52 years old. Ive lived in Florida. Ive lived in North Carolina where they have the best. Soul food you have got to try this place. Its a little pricey, but let me tell you is it well worth it From the moment. I walked in the young lady behind the cash register was extremely helpful explained everything to me. And the food when I came up. It is I cant wait to eat my chicken and waffles. I went in there with the intentions of buying a sandwich and I bought two different males. So Im hoping that Im not going to be full. So I can eat the chicken before I go to bed. We had a Fat Daddy x-hot, and the chicken tenders and waffles, collard greens and Cole slaw. Everything was fantastic! The chicken. Was crunchy and delicious and the meat was super high quality. Even the fries were great! So glad this place came to town!

Best chicken sandwich! I went there by myself and got a sandwich and raved to my husband about it. He wanted to see what all the fuss was about, so we went back a couple days later. We both agree that it was the best chicken sandwich weve ever had! So delicious and juicy! The staff was super friendly, as well. We will be frequent visitors.
Just tried it. Amazing! We ordered the Fat Daddy Sandwich, Tenders and Waffles and it delicious. Hot is HOT. Mild has a nice kick but not too much. Perfect. Syrup waswlike nothing else Ive had soooo delicious, and melted sweet butter...oh my! My family said this was the best chicken sandwich Ive ever had and top notch chicken. Plus the staff was SUPER friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back and I recommend trying this place. It is unique. Quick service too!
Hot and delicious!!! The chicken and waffles are so good and so is the Fat Daddy. When they say hot they mean HOT! We just moved here from Florida and most of the downriver food has been a bit boring to say the least. This is the BEST food we’ve had ! These guys know how to do chicken right !!! Will be back !

I had high hopes and thought it would compare to Eureka. If youre going to put dark meat on a bun, dont charge 2x what every other chicken place is charging for a sandwich. You should let the customer know youre about to over charge them for some cartilage filled dark meat. I ordered seasoned fries and got regular fries. The wait was crazy. I wish I had something good to say about this place.
Tried fat daddys for the first time and let me tell ya they did Not disappoint... food was absolutely amazing probably one of the best chicken sandwiches ive had in my life.
I just drove 9 miles round trip and paid $29 for two sandwiches that had half a teaspoon of comeback sauce and hard fries. When I called after discovering this after getting home, the worker that took my order offered to give me free sauce and new fries if I drive back LMAO
The only real nashville hot in the downriver area.If you dont like spicy dont get nashville hot, get mild.Also the chicken sandwhich is a thigh, I reccomend upgrading to breast.They also have really good Cole slawPass on the desserts they are only ok.Waffles are ok, but I only come here for the sandwiches.Overall, the chicken sandwhich is 10 out of 10.Definitely reccomend

Absolutely love this new spot in Riverview! Best chicken Ive had in a very long time. Portions are very generous and the homemade recipe style is one of a kind. You wont find better fried chicken anywhere around here for sure.

Fantastic place to eat. Chicken was great as was the catfish. I am not a sauce guy at all, but the comeback sauce is fantastic and lives up to its name. Portions are large even for a hungry guy like me and was hot and ready when I walked in the door

I like popeyes better, I was not impressed. food was better cold once the grease dried. Improvments can be made here, so I think theres potential, bigger containers, bigger buns, crispy waffles, maybe change the oil more often or turn the temp down, breading shouldnt be blackened, let chicken dry slightly before boxing or assembling..and never put the greasy chicken on top of the waffles in the same container...My first experience: Breading is over cooked, crispy but with a touch of a burnt grease taste, unless that was the spice they over used. I wasnt a fan. The carry out food order crammed into boxes almost too small for the food, which was almost $40. Over priced. $38.16 exactly. 2 small sides about the size of a small can of soda that cost $7.00. that $7.00 would have almost bought a full Chinese carry out and its litterally a few bites of food for 2. Greasy chicken tenders stacked on top of the 2 fluffy limp waffles, waffles shouldnt be limp. Not happy. The chicken sandwich was stacked btw 2 tiny buns thats soggy from the grease with fries thats just a wet sloppy mess

Got three chicken strip meal. All white meat chicken covered in light flavorful but not overpowering or greasey batter. It came with a generous amount of golden well cooked fries. One piecec of white bread and a handful of pickle chips. Price was good and the food was great.

Usually don’t give reviews but I want this place to be successful and drop a suggestion. Great food loved everything about it and loved the service. Just 1 huge recommendation. When opening would it be possible to have the grills and oil maybe preheated and ready to serve food. 1st order today at noon and didn’t receive food until 35 minutes later. This could be a easy fix. Thank you!

Ordered 2 of the fat daddy sandwiches And a kids tender, I ordered my sandwich with only pickles, sauce on the side, didn’t receive the sauce. Ordered online and it doesn’t say anywhere that fries come with the sandwiches, being that this was our first time ordering we didn’t know so we ordered 2 sides of fries (fries do come with the sandwich) so that was a waste of food and money. The food was just ok not much flavor and not what we thought it would be for the price. My chicken was slimy in the middle so that was a total turn off, don’t think I’d order here again.

Good fries and chicken. Mine was a bit burnt. Order ahead, it was a 30min wait Sunday afternoon. There is nowhere to sit, so make sure to get lots of napkins because it is super messy and I ruined a pair of jeans eating in my car in the parking lot.
The customer service was great. They give you large portions ooh chile that salt tho was a bit much. Oh those hush puppies are delicious!!!

I ordered the fat daddy BREAST chicken sandwich. Not sure what their definition of a white breast of chicken is but mine had all kinds of fat attached to it hidden under the breading. I had to whittled actual white pieces of meat to make a half of a sandwich. Check your breast before you bite into it

We had 5 peice tenders with the spice of hot. First of all lots of breading not so much white meat. The spice is over powering. Ive been in and out of this building for many years, the entrance door needs to be fixed.

Absolutely delicious. drove 45 minutes from ypsi to try this place out with a friend. we got the fat daddys sandwich with the too damn hot spice level and it was absolutely delicious. the spice was perfect and brutal just the way i like it. i will definitely be making special trips to fat daddys on the regular.

2022-05-13Decided to take a shot on this as the reviews and pictures looked good. I got the fat daddy sandwich, my wife got the 1/2 dark chix & waffles and my 13 year son had the tender meal. I really liked mine and my son liked his. My wife liked the skin on the chicken but didnt like the meat and felt the waffle was soggy.Id give the sandwich a 8.3 out of 10. My son gave the tenders a 7.6 and my wife gave hers a 4.4.

2021-11-09This place was absolutely amazing. I love hot chicken and have been looking for a good spot and Im so happy I finally found it! I definitely dug in and ate some fries and one of the sandwiches in my order before the photos but if youre looking for some really good Nashville hot chicken, This is the place to go! The fries are really crispy and good, the chicken was hot, spicy, perfect balance with flavor and heat and the coleslaw is a perfect topper for this sandwich. 10/10 would recommend.

2021-12-29Very disappointed. I cant believe the good reviews. Chicken and waffles were awful. Dry and lacked flavor. The Mac and cheese also super dry. Also, super small portion for what it cost. I’ll attach a picture of that. Only reason I gave this 2 stars is for the fries. They were pretty good. I spent over $80 and wish I wouldn’t have tried a new place. Lesson learned. I won’t be back.

2022-01-02First time ordering from here. Hubby had a hankering for hot chicken and Fat Daddys hit the spot! It is actually hot so beware. He ordered the Too Damn Hot and it was just right for him. I ordered extra hot and I will get the next level down next time. The flavor was impeccable though and the batter stayed crispy all the way home and while we were eating. Mac and cheese and Coleslaw were incredibly good and creamy! Obviously home made. The staff were friendly and patient and the price is perfect! We will definitely be returning!

2022-06-07I got the Fat Daddy chicken sandwich and it was very good. I got hot and it was just right for me. Im interested in trying the next heat level. I also got their homemade strawberry lemonade and homemade banana pudding. Everything was super delicious. Ill definitely be back. There are a few other items they have that Im really interested in trying. The only thing that I would say is that its expensive in my opinion. The sandwich is big though and it comes with a nice portion of fries which are also very good. I have to comment on how fantastic the lady at the register was. She was super friendly and very attentive. Overall she made the experience so much better. Thank you! Overall I highly recommend this place.

2022-02-24I tried the 5 jumbo tenders that came with seasoned fries. Mild was my heat choice. The tenders were juicy and delicious. Fries had a slight kick to them and very good. I also tried the Cole slaw and it was creamy and amazing! I could only eat 3 of the tenders because they were so big! Looking forward to my next meal there!

2022-03-24So! GOOD!I have had a lot of Nashville Hot chicken before, and this place is as good, if not better, than any place Ive had it. Their spice blend is perfect. The portion sizes are good. Not to mention the greens were on point! Dont be tempted by that national brand. Fat Daddys is worth the extra couple of bucks! This place being so close to work is gonna be bad for my wallet 🤣
