Firestone Complete Auto Care in other cities:
I called to make an appointment to get a replacement tire as mine had a hole in it. I was told we only do walk ins so you can drop it off, but I cant tell you when you would be able to pick it back up. Are you kidding me? you cant look at a schedule or tell me when I can come in to buy a tire and get it put on?. I guess they figure everyone has spare cars just laying around. Theyre complete alright except for complete customer service.
Came in for a tire rotation and alignment, and was able to fit me in same day when everyone else was booked out. Only issue i had was I paid 125$ for the service and they tried to upsell me 22$ to reset my tire pressure sensors. I feel like that service should be included with the money I already spent. Also didnt adjust my tire pressure, so I had to do that myself later that day. All in all the service was timely and great, just feel those basic services should be included in the price.
I walked in this morning because I had a flat yesterday. I was told it would be 2 hours (which wasn’t a problem), and they got me out of there in an hour! Very friendly and helpful staff! My husband just got new tires on his truck from this company and they went above and beyond for him also. We will always come here for new tires or whatever we need! Great team! Thanks again!
Had some very simple work done on a vehicle and the service was quick. Staff dont seem very friendly. Last year had some work done on a vehicle, a fairly simple repair. Vehicle was returned to me, turns out they neglected to install the part correctly and it ultimately killed my car.Stay away, unfriendly and incompetent staff. The locations on Westnedge are far far better.
Disappointing! had to spend hours to resolve multiple charges! staff and management were not friendly and complete lack of customer service!UPDATE (10 month after Oct 24, 2020):After 10 months of usage with one rotation, one of their famous All season tires went bad on I-131. They didn’t keep their warranty word and didn’t tell me to buy additional hazard protection! I had to buy another brand new tire! Avoid and beware!
08/24/2019 Great service and understanding!! We are from Chicago, dropping our student off at WMU, when our family SUV started making noise. The Service adviser (older gray hair man) and one of his mechanics took the time to make sure the truck was safe to drive back home, even though they were super busy at the time. My family and I made it home safe with no issues! Thanks again!
They did my 100,000 mile update on my car. Reasonable prices. Got 2 new tires and oil change with all my fluids replaced, and it did not cost me an arm and a leg like a lot of places i have been to in the past. I have taken my car her for about 4 years now for my oil changes and tires. Very professional. Very kind and helpful staff, treated me with respect. Didnt talk down at me. Will continue to go there for all my car needs.
I’ve had an appointment at the tire alignment, I arrived ten minutes early for my appointment and I was waiting for more than an hour and my car was still outside! they were not professional at all, so if looking for friendly staff or better service don’t try this store. And when I asked them nicely to look up my car and they just gave me my keys. Told me look for another store. The front desk girl was so rude.
Edit: The manager of the store called me first thing this morning and assured me that he would address my concerns with the employees involved. I am very impressed by his handling of the situation and have edited my review from a 1/5 to a 4/5. I will definitely consider giving this Firestone a second chance.------------------For context, this is the first time in my life that I have written a negative Google review. On Sunday, 6/23/19, I visited this location to get an oil change. I felt uncomfortable in the waiting room because I was alone there with two male employees who were both standing in front of the television and laughing at a movie with unedited sexual content and profanity, playing on Comedy Central. I wouldnt be writing this review if this were my only issue, however. The employee came out and said my car was almost ready and everything looked good. Then, a few minutes later, he came back and told me that they had found three nails in my back left tire. One nail was in such a position, according to this employee, that the tire was irreparable. I declined purchasing a replacement tire after confirming the car was safe to drive for a few days with the nails. I hadnt been experiencing any air loss or noticed a need to inflate my tires. The (separate) employee who cashed me out told me that the nails were visible with the naked eye, and one was very rusty. She encouraged me to come back as soon as possible for a replacement. My husband spent his precious lunch break the next day pricing out various tire shops. We found a shop and made an appointment for a replacement tire. At the other tire shop, a mechanic came back and asked me if I had been having tire inflation problems and I said no. He then said he could find no nails in the tire. He and his colleagues looked at all four tires on the lift, and then on the ground, and determined that there was not one nail in the tire, let alone three.
We got a flat tire on the side of the highway, and after getting the spare on we searched for a new tire. At Firestone they said were able to replace the tire in an hour, but ended up finishing 40 minutes after we dropped the car off. They were quick and professional, and really helped us out in our trip.
Good quality and honest work. I had an alignment done on my 23 year old car, and they got it right the first time. Well done firestone! I had the opposite experience at Belle tire. Belle tire told me I needed multiple tie rod ends, which I had replaced in the last year. So Belle tire is either dishonest, or has extremely poor quality techs. Both bad options.
Had them put on some new tires I just purchased. They told me that my car battery was old and needed to be replaced. A $50 service charge to replace a car battery? Made me laugh, and my car battery was less than 3 months old, took about 5 minutes of my own time to replace it. Just another example of a car garage trying to up-sell (ripoff?) people who dont know much about how their car works.
We have gone back to Firestone so many times like a bad ex-boyfriend. Something about it lures me in...the convenience. It is open on weekends. That is their ONLY redeeming factor. We had a quote for brake replacement from them for $700 and took is elsewhere and paid under $400. Perhaps I didnt get the same service warranty...like guaranteed to fail before the warranty goes out so that we can draw you back in and fix it for you and then find something else wrong with your vehicle and make you pay way too much to fix that. We just brought our vehicle to them because they recently repaired a problem that reoccurred. I told them that I had left the accessories on and I was thinking it was a battery issue. They told me that it was way over their weekend mechanics heads and would need to wait for their Monday mechanic. After several hours there on Monday they were able to determine that it was...guess what...a BATTERY. Like I told them. We will NOT be going back.
I made an appointment for a Sunday afternoon to get an oil change on my 2017 Jeep as well as get a tire rotation. My appointment was for 1 p.m. and my Jeep didn’t get pulled in to get worked on until 2 p.m. I don’t mind waiting if I know my car is getting worked on I know things take time but don’t schedule appointments if the vehicle isn’t going to be brought in at least close to the time of the appointment. My oil change + tire rotation came out to be $82 which is too expensive for me. I got my oil changed a few months before that at a dealership for only $56. I also overheard the workers complaining about working sundays. I get it that sucks but don’t talk like that in front of customers :/ will only go back if that’s my last resort
Drop car off at 9:30am for a coolant flush. Service writer tells me 2-3 hours. Being that it was a Saturday without an appointment I was okay with that. 2:30pm comes around and I call to check on my vehicle. They didnt know anything about it was on hold for 10 minutes while they found my key. Told me they couldnt get it in today so I said Id come get it. The service writer cops an attitude with me when I ask for key. Terrible service. Have never seen such confusion in an auto shop.
After breaking down and being stranded for two hours on US 131 on a holiday weekend and not being able to get into a local garage, I called Firestone from the tow truck and they told us to come on in. Every other garage was booked to the brim today and closed for the next 3 days due to the holiday. We are from Northern Michigan traveling south and really didnt want to be stuck for three days. The bonus, I have a 3 year old and they have appropriate toys for him to play with while we wait! Nice, understanding staff. Fixed us right up.
Front desk consultant was very disrespectful and rude. I brought my car in with an appointment to have a slow leak in a tire I bought 3 months prior evaluated. I asked the gentleman I checked in with if this was covered under my warranty. He informed me firestone has only provided two tires to my vehicle. I informed him that I paid for 4 tires over the course of 18 months and wanted to know if any tires had roadside hazard coverage. This is when he said everyone needs to remain calm. I informed him I would have paid for the roadside hazard if it was offered but I don’t think this needs become an issue because I’m willimg to pay to fix it. All I want to know is what has a warranty and what doesn’t and how much it will cost. I still don’t know the answer to this question or why I after all of this I have warranty on two tires and not the other two. After spending 20 minutes waiting it was apparent the atmosphere was hostile as there were several struggles between associates. It’s ashamed the guy was so rude because I used to like getting my car serviced from firestone and my car is currently in need of a few repairs including an oil change but I will not be doing it here unfortunately.
We have had great experiences here, and the staff has been very honest with us. While repairing my ancient 1998 Honda, they broke the alternator by mistake. They told us about it and replaced it for free. We have used them several times between two cars and have good outcomes.
Always get more than 1 opinion on your car. Firestone is extremely overpriced. Took my car on Thursday and was quoted $800 for a ball joint and front end alignment.Took it to a local shop with high credibility and that is well known in my area on Tuesday after declining Firestones quote. They agreed on the work that needed to be done, but for $425.
Called them to see if they had a tire because I had a flat. They said they did, gave me a good price and headed over. When I got there the manager took more than 20 to assist me. I told him I just called about a tire that he said they had in stock. Went out in the garage and said that everyone was too busy to assist me and that I would have to come back another day. I look outside and everyone was just standing around
Mark did an oil change for my Volvo S80, cleaned the engine air filter, and checked a check engine light that has been on for a while. Mark worked fast, was patient and courteous when answering my - admittedly ignorant - questions (I know absolutely zilch about cars), and everything was extremely well priced (51 dollars in sum, including full synthetic oil). All around fantastic experience and highly recommended!
Worst customer service i have ever seen, service advisor rick was very rude and condescending. We told him we would be taking our business to belle tire and he said thats fine. We get that people have bad days but the job is customer service, our vehicle requires 2400 worth of work that he just lost for firestone, good luck as no one in our family who has been with firestone for the last five years will ever be going back this includes my dad who recommended them when he was going to get his alternator battery and all brakes done there monday, not anymore. Worst company to choose for car services.
I brought my vehicle in there to get a intake gasket when I return to pick the vehicle up the vehicle barely made it out of the parking lot before it shut down I took the vehicle back they worked on it again for another hour and the vehicle still leaks fire stone auto mechanic place is a joke,Oh I called the corporate office they said they will get back Never did I am going to look into legal procedures against fire stone on West Main do not go there
Do not go here.! They said they fixed our tail light. billed us for the parts and labor. To find out they put a used tail light assembly on the wrong side. Never changed any bulbs, and only one fuse. But when we went to say its not right . They said has nothing to do with what they fixed I think the company is falsely reporting repairs charging the people for it then pocketing the money.
Sunday afternoon, no tire shops are open expect for FIRESTONE! Right down the road from my house, it was quick and easy. The professional staff checked my flat tire for holes and sealed the edges FREE of charge! Getting a flat tire is never fun but when a company like this helps you out *free of charge* --it makes a bad situation just a thing of the past! Thanks guys! Youre awesome!
400 dollars for just a junkyard used wheel? Not even with a new tire on it...Are you kidding me?! That is a joke and sounds like a company just trying to rip people who don’t know much about cars off! It’s sad that because I don’t know much about cars I’m forced to bring my boyfriend/brother/dad in with me because I know I can’t trust the guys at firestone to give me the best deal. They’ll literally just take a whole paycheck from me and not even blink for one flipping wheel. If that’s what cars cost now a days then no one would have a car. I’m finding wheels for 80 bucks, I would’ve even payed 200. But 400 dollars? That’s a months rent!! They just try to sell you every possible thing, even if you really dont need it. I will never go back to firestone
Got some very poor customer service a while back, and about that same time, needed repairs got ignored. I never would have known if I had not taken it to another location who pointed out situations going on with my vehicle. I do not even trust them now to do an oil change.
Didnt tell me i couldnt get an alignment until i got to the location, then couldnt get me an appointment anywhere else. Now after buying new tires i cant get an alignment, when it was discussed on the phone. Manager apologized but didnt offer to help the situation. Very disappointed when ive had better service before.
I have had several vehicles sent out to the crew at this shop that were being worked on at RC Autocare - the crew here is quite competent and always willing to try to help. For those of you bitching because you live in the ghetto and cant afford to pay for quality work then dont complain. If you have a LEGITIMATE complaint ask to speak to the manager not because They Seem Shady to you. Your street corner drug deals seem shady to me - Im going to keep going to THIS firestone because I trust their work.
Shady and Dishonest! Do not go here for any car services..I went for a simple oil change and they did a very poor job..damaged my car and had no sympathy after I told them what they did wrong..also the service manager was very rude, harsh and unprofessional! I will not be returning to Firestone.

2022-04-10I will never go anywhere else to have my vehicle serviced. The staff is friendly, fast, and knowledgeable, and they always keep me updated on the progress. If something is wrong with my car they always give me a heads up about what it will need in the near future. Oil changes are fast, Im always in and out. Firstone on West Main are the ones I trust to keep me on the road.

2022-02-28Not impressed. My husband had his engine misfire. Took it to Firestone and they told us two of the spark plugs were bad as well as two ignition coils, but they had some “deal” going on where we could get all four of the spark plugs, ignition coils done for $770. We knew that the other two spark plugs were fine, we had them replaced as well as the two other ignition coils about two years ago. We asked what the price would be for replacing only what was necessary. That’s when we were told it would be $770, nonnegotiable.Called up our local guy in Berrien Springs and he told us he could do it for $300-$400. So. Easy to say we won’t be returning, especially considering the hefty diagnostic fee of $110, which cost more than the Toyota dealership! This is a good reminder to compare prices and don’t settle for the “deals” that corporations have.

2022-07-07I wont take my cars here again let alone buy from here. I had a car towed there and they left out the fact that my TRANSMISSION was toast. took it to my regular mechanic once i got it back in town and all the codes for a toasted transmission were reading. 0/10 do not recommend. oh and they charged me 100$ for what my mechanic did for 40$ :// and he actually got me results.

2022-06-07Came here for oil change and seasonal tire change. First the tires were put on in the wrong direction. Then a few weeks later I realized the oil was never changed. It was black and my low oil light turned on. I dont trust them enough to bring my car back.

2021-01-16This is the main ace I take my vehicles for repairs and maintenance. For the last 8 years, I have always had a good experience here. The staff is knowledgeable about the problems that arise and are very effective at communicating it to me as the consumer. I feel that I know what is a must repair or a can wait repair when needed so I dont spend money that I dont need to. And they have a fair price for their work. I dont feel like I am overpaying here. Would definitely recommend.

2021-10-23Bought tires from here.My tire order was delayed by 3 days so because of that I couldnt use them on the track which was the point but thats fine.Guy at front desk was rude the first time then ok the 2nd time, guy on the phone was much more friendly. They dont tell you any information or pricing upfront, so I asked a lot of questions. My appointment was done very quickly, and they bagged my old tires which is good attention to detail.

2021-11-29Elario went above and beyond! I spoke with him on the phone and he was extremely friendly and helpful. Then, once I brought in my car he was upbeat and listened carefully about my concerns and answered all of my questions. He even explained the process and suggested locations for something they didn’t have the ability to do (reprogramming a key). Once the manager ( or head mechanic?) took over I felt a little rushed but it was busy so no big deal. Booked my appointment way ahead of time for noon that day and didn’t get my car back until 5pm and it’s our only vehicle so that was pretty inconvenient. No star docked though, thats less of a complaint about the people working there and more about the fact that it allowed me to schedule my appointment and it was confirmed when it was clearly way too busy to work on it at that time. If my appointment is pre scheduled more than a week in advance for noon I would expect my car is going to be worked on at least close to that time. Based on the call we got they started working on it around 3pm.

2021-07-14Beware of this location. When making an appoint for an oil change and tire rotation the guy was rude and barely wanted to answer any questions. Then the actual service on my car left my car with a VERY loud noise when I braked that wasn’t there prior to bringing in my car. When I called to tell them about what was going on they didn’t offer any suggestions of what it could be and were again very rude. I went to another Firestone and turns out I now have a $400 repair that needs to be done on my car and no one cared to mention this to me after my original service. Take your money where you’re appreciated.
