I reached out to Firma Financial Planning through their website and was promptly contacted by Tom VanDoorne Jr. I was able to schedule a personal meeting with him within a few days. Tom took the time to walk me though and explain the companys process in a way that made it very easy to understand. I never felt pressured. Tom is very friendly, attentive and professional. Im very grateful for the financial advice he provided and look forward to working with him in the future.
I am recently divorced and a part of my settlement was a division of a 401k account. My 300 dollar an hour lawyer advised me that everything would be handled through the court. Needless to say that didn’t happen. I was expecting a lump sum check to help me start a new life. Once I discovered that a new 401k retirement account was created in my name. I knew I needed some professional financial advice. I knew Tom VanDoorne personally as he was my oldest son’s baseball coach a few years back. I knew he was a great coach and his values and character were sound. I contacted Tom and asked if he would be able to help. Tom was not only able to navigate through all the confusing paperwork for me, He was able to help me recover some money that was lost in the market due to the covid pandemic. As a small business owner, we had to start planning for the future. Tom was referred to us and thank goodness! Not being familiar with where to begin, we were soon put at total ease. All of our questions were answered in a way that we could understand. Simple/Hard questions get answered within a few minutes and not more than a day. 2022-06-162022 is not a year to be going it alone watching your retirement investments drop with the stock market. Its too easy to make panic moves. So even though Im now at retirement age in this down market, Im confident knowing that Toms actively managing my portfolio. What he does is beyond my skill level and my time. This will be a down year for everybody. But with Tom actively moving my investments to less risky holdings without me even having to ask, I know hell have me poised to buy low when the market eventually starts to look more promising. Im not worried because I expect that the gains he gets for me in the next couple of years will more than offset this current slump. I can sleep at night.
