I just had the French toast. It’s the best and softest I have had and it was cooked perfect. I also split the biscuits and gravy which was also really really good. The coffee was so good as well. This is a up scale place for breakfast for sure. The service was also awesome. The waitress was helpful and very kind to us. I would go back again for sure. Get there early because they really get busy. Also love the design on the wood tables that have the ruff strip on each side. It’s a cozy place to stop and eat. Also the bathrooms are super clean 👍.
Just came here for the first time with my partner, and so happy we did! Rylee, our server, was very friendly, knowledgeable and quick! The food was fresh and delicious! I got the chicken/avocado salad and it was so fresh and tasty! My partner got the Works omelette with a pancake and he loved it! Oh, and the coffee was fantastic too! Check this place out! Highly recommend, and we will be returning! Great value too!
The food was really good, as was our server. The wait time was long, told us it would be a half hour but ended up being closer to 50 minutes. Once seated the waitress quickly brought us our drinks from the juice bar- A Watermelon one and one called Morning Meditation. They were both very delightful. Our wait for our food was over a half hour. All in all the food was really delicious, but the wait time was pretty long so thats why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.
For a chain this place is awesome. Fresh ingredients, friendly staff, and all around good food. The first time I ever at a a first watch was in the Nashville area. I quickly realized it was a chain. Since I was on vacation I gave it a shot. I was pleasantly surprised on the quality of ingredients and food. The Canton location never disappoints either. Top notch for a chain restaurant. I will return soon!
Awesome spot, good for small groups.Service is generally fast once you are seated, but I highly recommend using the online reservation system to check the wait before showing up.But the wait is well worth it. Great service, delicious food and tasty beverages (both of the healthy and the adult variety)
The avocado toast and eggs was wonderful! My friend wasn’t a fan of the biscuits and gravy, he didn’t like the taste or the bread because it was hard. I ordered online, I was given directions from the website but it took me to the gas station. I will definitely be eating inside one day. 9/10
I love First Watch. But this one at least on this day didn’t meet the mark. We waited one hour for our food. We were 4 people and all of our food came out 3-5 mins apart. People who got seated, got their food and LEFT before we even got our food… items missing from our orders such as no greens on the sandwich, no capers on eggs Benedict, and a basically hard boiled egg where a poached egg is supposed to be. The market hash came out cold as well. After the food came out the waitress avoided our table and probably saw us as a “lost cause”. The hostess gave us a free meal at the end. Thank you hostess! The food was decent but not as good as I’m used to from first watch. 😔 bad day at this location?
My friend and I both ordered the Chikichanga prepared the same exact way and our orders were made completely differently.Hers had no tortilla and was essentially just wrapped in an omelette and had little to no chicken in it. Mine was made with a flour tortilla that was burnt and dry and had no eggs in it at all.We initially thought one of us had gotten the wrong item but our waiter kept insisting that what we received was correct, despite both items looking completely different even at a quick glance. This was my first time dining here and I likely wont be coming back.
We waited 30 minutes for a waitress, and more than 30 minutes later, we still had not gotten our food. We had to go find somebody, and were literally given the brush off. It would have helped if our waitress would have checked back with us to let us know why it was taking so long. Also, the other waitress that we asked about our food never came back with any information; we had to call her over again. To top it off, the food is honestly mediocre, and not worth the exorbitant prices.
Love First Watch but 90 minutes for breakfast is a long wait. I know staffing is/can be an still an issue for businesses but for eggs, hadshbrowns and a chickichanga is a little ridiculous. Front of the house staff is great but kitchen seems to struggle as food came out in spurts.
I am so excited to see this chain reach Michigan. The food is excellent. However, I will say I am extremely disappointed with how inconsistent this particular store has become with online ordering. The ability to order online or through food delivery services is often turned off at random. This inconsistency is somewhat unprofessional to me.
Service is sloooooow for three tables occupied in the whole place and two waitresses... Got a dirty coffee mug that was 🤢. Eggs and toast were served without toast. And spent 7 bucks on a single pancake. About 10 minutes later toast arrived untoasted, waitress said she couldnt figure out the toaster...place is horrible I will never go back and waist my money here again at the Canton location. I suggest anyone just go to Leos and get a real breakfast...*4/25 Update-Went to Parthenon coney island and their Breakfast was amazing and literally half the price, service was great also. Stick with your local joints for breakfast.
The server was so in experienced. She didn’t even know what type of vegetable topping existed. Took a long time for my coffee to come and I mentioned to her to cancel an order because the other person left because of her bad service. One of the worst experiences in a breakfast place.I worked in food industry and I know if someone is unsatisfied with the order it would get canceled. Terrible server and terrible food.
Well here we go… first time there, someone raved and wanted me to experience it. Ive worked in Guest Service for over 20 years… so Im pretty understanding… but this place… on this day…. was Bad… actually left me feeling Almost Depressed. So, Unfortunately The waitress (whose name Ive decided I will give to Leadership if they ask) “literally told me I don’t care what happens here… Im quitting in 3 days… Ive had a bad experience here and its terrible”. I advised her to punch out and Go Home then lol, why ruin everyone’s experience because you don’t want to be here… she agreed and said she was quitting on the spot. I repeatedly asked for a manager and she kept claiming “they are busy and will not come to help you”. I was told the wait would be 30 mins.. we saw other people sit prior who came after… It took an hour 🧐🤔. We were told “its the online system… when I tried to explain the situation… we were oddly cut off mid sentence and Told “it is what it is… deal with it”. “Bad part is when I asked the waitress for her name, I only wanted to speak with her on a more personal level as she seemed frustrated and tired… But she made an assumption I guess that I wanted to put her name in the review.. 🤷.”She proceeded to not serve us, and tend to other customers… not aware that I could hear her odd repeated comments of venting to her other customers about her day…. And complaining about us… her behavior almost made us afraid to eat there as if she was intentionally trying to make us leave… Ive never experienced this before honestly.Another customer tried to speak with a gentleman about the same thing… the male bartender yelled “Im done, Im out of here… someone get a manager”! I Thought you could only see this in the movies... I feel for the staff if management is really That Bad… so as a seasoned professional here’s my advice… “Kill the online Reservation system”… its not fair to people who walk up to the door… rule of thumb is always “First Come First Serve”. This might just resolve Most of your problems. Back to the Waitress… looks like when she threatened to leave, they just gave her another section. Really Depressing Experience 😞 Oh, and the hostess kept yelling across the building and complaining. When my partner tried to speak with her about the extended wait… she just walked away. 😔😒 Luckily a bright, smiling young waitress named Olivia saved the day for my partner. I unfortunately could not bring myself to Eat.
First watch, comparatively a newer location, recently started in Canton, Mi.I fail to find appropriate words to describe my experience. We a family of 4 and two children thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast over there.I am totally impressed by the location, the adequate parking area, the beautiful entrance, exquisite interiors, the comfortable seating arrangements and the wall decorations. The staff ,all of them were well dressed, sporting a broad smile and so caring and courteous to customers. The taste, of the food; one should eat to believe, soo Yummieeeeeeee.Reasonably economical. The overall cleanliness and the decipline, especially during this pandemic deserve big accolades . Ultimately ,its a day restaurant ,wher e dinner is not served is a matter of sadness for all who love this place.I sincerely suggest all who are planning to have breakfast or lunch outside this weekend, or during next day, please decide your destination is FIRST WATCH.....Better watch so avoid going everyday to this awesome joint.
Waitress was super rude and annoyed. Food came out wrong, it was remade. Came out wrong again. All 6 people with me ate and I sat and watched (never got to eat). Went to pay at the front & the waitress was arguing she wouldnt take it off the receipt. The guy in the black hat (manager?) said he would take it off but she was still arguing about it.
This place has awesome food but the waitlist is pointless. I put our name in at 9:20am and it said a 120 min wait so we arrive at 11:20am and they said it was a 2 hour wait still. So even though we were in line it technically doesn’t even matter unless you show up at the place and “check in”. Even people who checked in in person an hour ago we’re still waiting… they need to fix their reservation system
Ive eaten here a few times now and have been underwhelmed with the overall quality of the food and the service. I found the servers are often rushed and dont take the time to offer friendly service. They didnt offer much attention to detail and knowledge of the menu to help you make the best selection. The menu offers some nice variety which is why Ive gone back a few times, and food quality is decent but can be inconsistent. Its worth a try to see for yourself, but First Watch isnt a spot that I will frequent.
Significantly undervalued breakfast/brunch food with extremely good quality. I got the short rib poutine and thought it was probably one of the best brunch meals Ive had! Spent $13 on it when Ill pay at least $20 for it.This location has a pretty good footprint inside. on this trip everything was clean and tidy in a nice location. Definitely will be going back
We have ordered from this place in the past and our family loved the food. Today I went with my daughter and ate the same exact items we usually eat and this time it didn’t sit well with us. Me and both my kids had really bad stomach upset and throw up sensation right after we finished it. Not sure what went wrong this time. Not happy at all. The stomach upset and throw up just left a bad taste in our mouth for this restaurant unfortunately.
So I heard a lot about this place and decided to try. How can everything be simultaneously overcooked and cold at the same time? I waited over 30 minutes for a mimosa , creamer, and water. The estimated wait time online was an hour. When we showed up we still waited 45 minutes extra. Waitress very inattentive. Order was messed up. The bacon.... over cooked. The waffles.... hard and cold. Forgot my biscuits and gravy. Then when they arrived they were cold as well. Only reason for 3 stars is because my husband enjoyed his food as did my son.
The food is good but if you order take out heed my word and check your order thoroughly before you leave the restaurant. Twice in a row they have gotten my order wrong. The first time they cooked my eggs over easy when I selected over hard. The second time they cooked my eggs over easy when I selected over hard and also forgot to include the toast that comes with my order. It’s a much better experience when you dine in, I have never had any issues when I dine in at this restaurant.
Ordered the shrimp and grits, with a side organic salad. No dressing on the salad and it tasted like someone pulled grass up from their yard. The grits were slimy, how do you make slimy grits?? No sauce, shrimp was undercooked. Thats the last youll be seeing me First Watch Canton.
We were there for almost 2 hours before even getting our food. Should have left, but we were already too far invested. Lemon ricotta pancakes were so dry, dont believe there was ricotta in them. Service was painfully slow. Server didnt even bring out or offer syrup with my pancakes, just plopped our meals on the table and walked away. There were more dirty tables to be bussed than there were tables with customers. Everything about that place today was so disorganized and the food was not worth it.
I had such an experience! The food was Ah-Mazing!!! From the Carrot Cake Pecan Pancakes to the Farm stand Tacos. Everything was cooked to perfection! The service was great! Even on a busy day they made sure they checked on you and got you everything you needed. I will be a regular customer. Also, the food was inexpensive with a welcoming home style vibe.
Excellent restaurant! The wait staff was phenomenal and food was outstanding! I went for breakfast and ended up having an experience that changed the trajectory of my day. After complimenting the chef on the food he/she offered to pay for my meal. The smoked salmon omelette was off the charts with taste. The alcoholic beverages were very good as well.
The hostess at the entrance was rude, quiet, and nonchalant. She did not care about our experience or greeting anyone with any kind of friendly attitude. The wait time for our food was insanely long. When it finally did come out, my poached eggs were literally hard boiled. Our waitress was very nice, but overall the experience, wait times, and overall chaos was nothing we want to experience again.
My wife and I have been looking for a good breakfast place in Michigan for years, and might have finally four the place.Maybe. They are currently selling an amazing breakfast sandwich that is a promo. Hopefully, it becomes permanent.Potatoes well seasoned and plentiful. My wifes bacon seemed aged a bit, but she ate it.
This place has amazing food. Ive only eaten breakfast here twice. But its an instant favorite for first meal of the day in my book. The ambiance is like a clean sleek country house with a chic minimalist feel. And best of all they bring you a stainless steel coffee pot so you dont have to guard your cup from the over zealous refill waitress like at other restaurants. And when youre done with your food you can chill for a moment and enjoy the second cup. The service was great, and the food is excellent.
Zero sympathy for dashers. My order was sitting in their kitchen fully packed and sealed for more than 20 minutes. No one decided to bring that out. I waited 40+ minutes there. Had to call the customer who later gave me a 1*. Here is your 1* first watch. Never taking your orders again.
I love the food and feel of this place, however Im a little disappointed how they handed seating groups. My boyfriend and i put our name on the list and was told we would receive a text when our table was ready. An hour later I went to check on the status to find they had been seating people who checked in after us as well as people who just walked in. They found us a table as soon as possible and for that, I am grateful. The service, once inside was fantastic our waitress was very attentive and helpful. Overall this is a great place.
This was my first time to go to First Watch and it was my birthday and my mom was taking me out for brunch.I was impressed with the depth and breadth of the menu and found many things that I thought I would enjoy but actually ordered an omelette with short rib, shallots, parmesan cheese, mushrooms, spinach, and served with a small salad with lemon vinaigrette. My mom ordered the Rustica Torta or something... Basically an open face omelette with kale.We both enjoyed our food although I ended up putting my salad inside my omelette because it needed a hint of acid that it was missing. Too much richness with no contrast is less delicious than contrasting flavors. We loved having our own small coffee pot and water carafe. Our waitress was very friendly. The restaurant was noisy and it was hard for us to hear each other talk. I think some more noise canceling fabrics or something as part of the decor would be a good idea.I do fault the restaurant for cleanliness, or lack thereof. There were bits of food and little bits of napkin all over the floor for the whole time we were there, I never saw anyone clean up. When I went to the restroom it was similarly untidy and the floor was so sticky that my shoes stuck with every step.
I went today for brunch and it did not disappoint! The fresh juice is amazing! I was really impressed with the quality of food and the taste was on point. The atmosphere and decor is great. I will definitely be back! Angela, our server, was nice and helpful. Service was quick!
The wait to get in was close to 50 minutes. I didnt mind the wait. Once we were seated, it was about an hour until we received our food. Appetizer served with no silverware. When the food finally did come it was served in parts and the portions were not very large. Had to ask for silverware 3 times. I got the seasonal pumpkin pancake dish and the portion size was not large, ended up leaving hungry. Wait staff seems very nice but they may need help, they seem to be overwhelmed.
Amazing food, great atmosphere, and wonderful staff. Stopped in for breakfast a few days ago, had no idea what I wanted to eat so I asked my server Angela what I should get and she suggested the breakfast tacos: They were absolutely delicious. will definitely be back very soon. Make sure to ask for Angela as your server, she was wonderful and couldn’t have been a sweeter and nicer person.
Thanks for nothing. I learned 2 things this am about this chain: They are one of those businesses who blame their corporate/managerial greed and incompetence on staffing issues, and could care less about YOUR time. I finally decided to (attempt to) give this place a try again today because their website said at 10:30am there was no wait. I drove 10min there to find a dozen parties waiting for a table, a 30+ minute wait. I was also informed that at 10:45am on a Sunday, they just opened due to said staffing issues. This is at least my 3rd unsuccessful attempt to eat here. I see no point in further effort. I sat and ate right away in a fully-staffed restaurant down the street, despite the place being packed with 2x the number of diners. The exchange of money for eggs and sausage should NOT be as difficult and unpleasant as this joint makes it.
Looks beautiful , we were so excited about trying the food here. We were disappointed, the food lacked flavor and the portions were blah. The service was good but it could have been great. We felt like something was missing overall. We might try another location to see if we have the same experience.
For any dashers out don’t make the mistake I made I made a gmail account just to express my concern about the experience I had today. I walked into the store at 10:15 am food was supposed to be ready at 10:20 am; at 10:25 am I got a second order from the same restuarant that was supposed to be ready at 10:30 am I figured if I’m waiting I might as well take two orders. Second order comes out at 10:35 am I speak to the employee who brought out the second order and she tells me she needs a minute or two for that order. I proceed to wait until 10:50 am. Guess what?! Food still wasn’t out by then. Here’s the kicker I ask the hostess for an estimated wait time at 10:50 am and she proceeds to tell me “ Oh, we’re just really busy and we’re behind right now.”I just walked out and delivered the second order; I’m not here to bash this business I’ve never eaten from here but this kind of service just isn’t right and I don’t want anyone else to experience what I did today.
First Watch is THE BEST breakfast/brunch place!!!!! Their menu is so incredibly fresh and DELICIOUS with modern and traditional options, healthy and indulgent options. The atmosphere is modern, bright, and open so on sunny weekend mornings, it feels magical. I could not recommend this place more and this is DEFINITELY our go-to brunch spot!! Angela served us and is INCREDIBLE- so attentive, friendly, and thoughtful. I wish I could give a sixth star just for her!
The experience and food today, our second visit, were great. But it was our server today, Angela, who took it over the top. She was great, and made the morning enjoyable. We will be back. I will say some items are a bit over priced (Belgian waffle) but in general you seem to get what you pay for here.
We came to this place with high expectations, it has a good app with food pictures and an interesting menu, the “add to waitlist” feature in the app is really good. However, it has a very slow waitlist and the service was even slower it took very long for them to take our order and then a long wait for the food to come, only to realize that they ran out of potatoes (how a breakfast place runs out of potatoes? Is like running out of eggs!). At the end even the check was wrong and they had to correct it. I am not sure if I would give this place another opportunity. Our waitress was kind, but again everything very slow.
Great to have a new business in the Canton communityHad a Sunday morning breakfast. The staff here was very pleasant and attentive to details. The food was very good, but its different than the usual diner fare. The kind of recipes you would find in the better living magazines, if that is your thing. Would definitely recommend checking it out.
Don’t fall for their estimates on wait time. If the parking lot is full, you will wait a long time. Our estimate was 20. We still don’t have a table at 50min. Their waitlist is text based, so everyone is in their car, not the lobby.Update: 1hr 20min still no text. Just finished our breakfast at Leo’s Coney Island.
Hands down the best place to get breakfast in Canton. You can instantly taste the difference of their fresh ingredients in your food and our server Renda was overwhelmingly polite and accommodatingDo yourself a favor and read the negative reviews. The restaurant management offered to follow up with each person and accommodate them for the mistake.I ordered a breakfast with no cheese and it came out with cheese. The manager took my entire breakfast off the bill, gave us a $20 gift card for our next visit, and gave us a free order of pancakes to try. This will be our go to breakfast spot moving forward.
Soak up the vibrancy of the fresh coffee, juice drinks, salads, ingredients and vibe at First Watch. Coffee is served in a stout carafe and drank out of tall robust mugs. Served with Raw Sugar and flavored creamers, if desired. Water is served in a glass milk jug and angular water cup that has distinctive weight. Clear ice cubes just add to the crispness of clarity and taste. Depth of healthy eating menu choices are appropriate for morning - midday consumption, including power bowls. Add a vitamin charger/chaser to your juice drink for optimal boost. Seating options include booths, tables and outdoor spaces. Eventually bar seating will return as well, and so will you after experiencing First Watch.
Very upset with the service this is my second time going to try the place the first time after waiting for 2 hours we had to leave without eating. The second time my wife had to go get utensils because the table didn’t have any ,the coffee mugs where dirty ,we had to wait an hour for our food . The food was good but again the service is not good at all we asked for water the glasses where dirty as well my wife asked for dressing for the salad and she got it after finishing the salad. I will try a different location because the food is good but the service is atrocious.
I had been looking forward to try the food here. Service was great, atmosphere very nice. I was disappointed in the average food, though. Pumpkin pancakes had no flavor, definitely no hint of pumpkin or spices. The omelet was dry and overcooked; the egg, what there was of it, was browned around the edges and on one side, also was paper thin, the 2 types cheese were hard to find. Not nearly worthy of an $12.00 omelet. I might try again with other items. But disappointed overall.
Ill preface this with the notation that the food is great. Now after waiting almost an hour to be seated and only told after asking that it would be an additional 10-20 minutes to wait for a table, thats crazy. There were open tables, and I understand the restrictions set by the state but Im more disappointed in how the servers handled the situation. There was no greeting or any kind of recognition when we walked in the door and were standing there staring at the registers. There was no heads up that after the initial 35-40 minute wait time there was a hold on seating and there was more time added. Not good business. Atleast throw out a hello! Well be right with you! Speaking as a canton server, it will take you so far with customer understanding. I have had other experiences here that have been phenomenal, and will try back another time but this just rubbed me the wrong way.
Between excellent food, staff, service and accomodations you cannot go wrong with this First Watch! They are amazing here and each staff member is very friendly and helpful. I had a small bridal shower at this location and it went so smoothly because of the amazing service!
Incredible experience as always. came here with my husband on a quiet monday morning and we were seated immediately. the waitress (a’hearn) was kind, attentive, and made very good suggestions for our meal based on our comments. i was impressed with her care for our visit. the food came quickly, was fresh, hot, and absolutely delicious. i ordered the monterey club and tomato basil soup, while my husband ordered a seasonal omelette and potatoes - the portions were perfect. their covid restrictions are great too, we felt safe the entire time we were dining and everyone was masked up properly. we will absolutely be back! thank you, first watch canton!
I wish I could give this place 0 stars. We placed an order and they said it would be ready by 11:45, but we didnt get it until 12:30. I walked in to pick it up, and the main guy at the podium was so rude and told me to stand outside and look for a bag to appear on the counter. Once a bag appears I have to go inside and check if its mine since other people are waiting. The food was mediocre at best and the side of fruit was only 3 pieces of bite sized melon and pineapple chunks. Good thing theres a Johnny Cakes Cafe across the street (much better).
My husband and I went out for the first time since getting our COVID vaccine and Im so glad we decided to try First Watch! Everything is very clean and socially distanced. We had Terri as our server and she was WONDERFUL, we will be coming back just for her! Food was amazing and tasted very fresh, you have to try the million dollar bacon!
First time coming here and it was a very good experience. This is definitely my new spot. The environment is very friendly and peaceful. Our sever Angela gave some recommendations, and it was very good, she was also very nice and fast. I absolutely recommend you come through and support. Cuttos to First watch!
Well, this definitely isnt somewhere to go if you have dietary restrictions. I asked the server if I could blend two menu items to take away the things I cant eat. Then, I listed off what I wanted. Not only did it not have all of the food items I asked for, but had things I couldnt eat. The biggest issue was that the entire top of my food was coated in giant chunks of salt so I had to go without any of my avocado because I couldnt pick it all out. Instead of checking on my food, she dropped off my check and asked what else I needed. At this point I just asked for a box in hopes that someone else will want the food. Then, to top it all off, I was charged for both meals even though I removed the majority of the items from both menu options. If that was going to be the case, that should have been stated and maybe I wouldnt have ordered. All I wanted was salmon on a slice of toast with a few veggies, and now thats costing me $20 and I have to leave hungry and go eat somewhere else.
Take out experience...Worst first watch Ive been to. Order missing plastic ware, Monterrey cheese on omelette, and salsa thats supposed to come with...and it wasnt even busy at the restaurant. Hostess was very nonchalant about correcting order and apologizing on behalf of restaurant for mistake...and omelette was just okay.
Food is delicious, service is not good. Slooooooww and inattentive. I wrote it off the first time, but more than once with the same or similar poor service is a trend. I get that it is Covid and all that, and its busy, but having to ask multiple servers for coffee, water refills, and utensils, then waiting an hour to get your food it unacceptable. Quality of service should not be on the list of things that I need to worry about before picking a restaurant to go to. Get more wait staff, or improve the existing.
First time coming to this establishment. I was very shocked and surprised with how amazing the food was, service was excellent. My server I believe was named Kim was very upbeat and happy. I will definitely be back. Not only for the food and service but because of Kim I definitely had a happy ending
First time in...... If not back for the best food Ive had in a long time, Ill definitely be back for the absolute best service Ive ever had. My server Angela was on point with the service, and her hospitality is outta this world. Clone that one youll be the top restaurant around.
Awful experience. Manager was rude and said he can only do so much, Ive worked in restaurants and he was moving at a snails pace, said he has to keep everyone waiting outside and then proceeds to let 8 people stand inside when he kicked us right out. No veggies in the veggie and salmon frittata, received a cup full of butter soup when asked for buttered grits, no dressing provided with the salad and the service wasnt great, even though they were at a lower capacity. Oh, and the coffee sucks. Will be calling corporate first thing Monday morning.
5 stars: The food was delicious and our waitress Randa was great!2 stars: I did notice, though, that we asked to sit on the patio. There seemed to be an onslaught of bees so we asked to move inside. They actually put us at the bottom of the list to get a seat (as if we had just walked in). I didnt think that was fair, but waited patiently as my mom was from out of town and I wanted to bring her to First Watch for the first time. After eating, we waited to pay, but only saw a hostess for sitting. Finally a woman walked up and serviced two other people by allowing them to pay. They literally cut in front of me. After she serviced the two people, she walked away! The woman who was sitting people noticed I was left behind and came over to allow me to check out. I understand there are quirks to being a new restaurant and I have no idea what its like to be newly opened in a pandemic, so I am hoping the customer service will improve as the health of our country improves.
The food wasnt done for 45 minutes after the time we were told they would be done. The guy sitting at the front greeting people has no idea how to talk to customers and is rude. When we finally got the food, the bacon and eggs were cold, the potatoes were burnt, and the bacon was under cooked. Other locations I have been to have been great. I would not go back to this location.
Horrible experience, manager was extremely rude, kicked 3 of us out of the lobby after 30 seconds, into the cold to wait, after they already texted us saying our table was ready. Then he allows 5 girls to wait in the same spot for 10-15 minutes while they blocked the entrance and people had to squeeze between them. Felt discriminated against. When i asked him about it he said he would kick me out again, then apologized and comped my meal.Smoked salmon and roasted vegatable fritata was served with no veggies.Coffee was terrible, and they dont serve alcohol although its on the canton online menu. Also they were out of iced coffee at noon... how?0/10 would definatley not recommend.
Pretty bad first experience. We decided to try this place and order from DoorDash. The traditional breakfast was missing the preserves it said it included in the description, and my farmhouse hash was missing cheese (it listed 2 different cheeses it was supposed to have, didnt include a shred of one). What is hash without cheese?I will give them credit that the food we did receive tasted good, but this place is too expensive and speciality to make these kinds of mistakes. A little attention to detail goes a long way at restaurant like this, and is often the deciding factor for whether customers return or not.
Horrible first experience, Took 20 mins to get greeted and then we still had to ask the host to get our drinks as the server who greeted us did not take our drink order he just said ill be right with you. Finally we got our drinks and we did not get any cream or sugar for our coffee. I patiently waited. I finally had to get up and ask one of the servers in the back area for some, she handed it to me and I went back to the table. The server finally came over to take our order and we waited for an hour and half before we decided to get up leave. We went to the first watch in Livonia and had a munch better experience. Seems there was a lack of management all around and there were multiple frustrated people.
We waited 25 minutes for a table because the host failed to put our name correctly in the system and waited another 15 minutes at our table without being helped at all before walking out. Other customers appeared to be waiting a long time as well. It seems the staff is still learning how to run the restaurant efficiently. Come during peak hours at your own risk
The host is Bad! We reserved a hour an a half before we were seated while we were promised 20 mins wait timeI understand that they are understaffed but maybe then they should take less people. It’s as simple as that. I would’ve preferred it if they told me there is no seating than making me wait all of this time.
The food was decent once we finally received it after it had to be retaken due to a kitchen mixup. But the service left much to be desired. The manager blew us off twice by just saying he would send someone over to help I watched him do everything but that as I had to try and find a server myself both times. I will say the server that began helping us tried to redeem the experience but it was too late. It was very disappointing. Ive been to several First Watchs in other states and I know this is not the norm. Wont be going back to this location.
I want to share my experience, as a small business owner myself I can appreciate a 5 star review when it’s deserved. My guys and I are always on the Rd. And looking for something different to eat for lunch. We saw that The First Watch was now open, so we called in our order ahead of time. Took about 12-15 staff was all very pleasant and friendly. We Enjoyed our meals very much and I would like to refer anyone looking for something yummy to try in Canton for brunch.1. The roost beef and Harvarti 5 stars2. BLTE 5 stars3. Monterey Club Sandwich 5 Stars4. Staff 5 Stars5. Wait time 5 StarsGreat job and welcome to Canton!
Awful service and an extremely long wait time to be seated and for food. Food is overpriced for the quality and portion size. Manager barely tried to make things right after the kitchen forgot our order, after we had already been waiting for an hour and a half for food. Definitely do not recommend.
My brother and I came in for breakfast and I had mentioned that I was gluten free and asked if the seasoned potatoes were gluten free. I was told they were not gluten free and asked if I would like to see the gluten free menu. What I received instead was a stapled chart listing all the items on the menu on the side and the top listing any allergies, i.e. gluten, soy, dairy. Apparently, an x indicates there is gluten( i was very excited to do homework at breakfast let me tell you) but the potatoes had no x. Finally our order is put in, me ordering the farmhouse skillet, my brother french toast. Not only did it take 40 minutes to come to our table, but BOTH OF OUR FOOD WAS WRONG. Never EVER COMING BACK. if I could give no stars that would be better.
Comme il fault! Probably the best in the area. Very clean, very new, in line with the current rules. Interesting menu, lots of healthy options, absolutely beautifully served, reasonably priced, friendly service. Hot drinks served properly hot (and not barely warm, like next door ;))
I ordered online and received an email that my food was ready. When I arrived, I was told to wait outside until my food was ready. After waiting for 45 min (when I had already been told my food was ready) I finally spoke with someone and tried to cancel the order because I was sick of waiting. I emailed her a receipt of my delivery and she said she would speak with the Manager and refund my money because the Manager was too busy to speak with me.It’s been a week later and I still haven’t been refunded. Save yourself the trouble and go to the First Watch location in Livonia.
WE go to First Watch 2x a week (another location)First time at this location:Horrible experience. After 1 hour 45 min wait (waitlist said 30-45 min). Finally seated. After 20 min wait at the table - with ZERO acknowledgement from anyone. I waved staff down and asked for our waitress. Finally waitress comes over and takes our order.Another 20 (total 40 mins go by we still have no water and nor drinks. At this point, we are at 2hrs 45 mins later....of waiting...I asked for the manager and explained that we’ve been patiently waiting and no water, drinks or food has arrived. Explained the whole situation that even at this point we have no water to drink. The MANAGER says to us that we can do what we have to do???? What?! Who says that? It’s not like we are asking for something unrealistic? We simply wanted to be serviced? Have our tea/water while we waited. We decided to continue to wait (we were starving at this point). We waited this long... finally total of 50 mins later our water and food is brought to our table... And.... it was cooked wrong. OMG, I can’t believe this. I am currently writing this as we are waiting for our food. Now, add another 20 mins of waiting. We literally spent almost 4 hours here. I can’t believe this. Before I end this review I want you to know that we will never come back to this location. HOT MESS. Also, that we are still waiting on our food.Very disappointed in the Managment and wait staff here. Now at over 3.5hrs of waiting...Note: FIRST WATCH IS GREAT IF YOU GO TO THE LIVONIA LOCATION
I was really looking forward to Our 1st visit to First Watch, It was about 1:50 p.m. 40 minutes before they closed we asked to be seated on the patio, We were seated at a table that had not been wiped off , Then we waited for 15 to 20 minutes and nobody came to the table, We did however have a waitress that cleaned her table directly across from us never once said hello or made eye contact, or asked have you been helped or someone would be right with you, At this time we were the only people on the patio I understand you might have had a busy rush and things get tough but it only takes a minute for someone to greet you acknowledge you, not Ignore you and pretend youre not there, even as were walking out the door nobody cared. 😔
First Watch is two cuts above your standard Coney Island breakfast. The eclectic menu, high quality ingredients and stellar service make for a fantastic experience. If you’re looking for your boring $3.99 egg and bacon place, that’s totally cool. Go elsewhere.Welcome to Canton, First Watch. You are a wonderful addition to our community.
Ok this place is high profile. But I honestly dont think the food is that great of quality. I got a omelette and it was super small for a omelette. Maybe 2 eggs or really small three eggs. I also got sausage and it looked like it was from last week and was cold. Super disappointed at this point.
If I can give less I would absolutely one of the worst experience I’ve ever been through..waited for ever!! I mean 2 hours later no food and no one to even ask about us..if you are busy don’t take people I would rather not come one time and keep coming back on other days the. Not coming at all and thanks to that experience I will never come and never let anyone I know go here...I can’t believe how bad the host and service and bad management can be...
Disgusting.. ordered sandwich with “Caramelized onions” which were barely cooked through. When I decided just to scrape off what was glued to the cheese I noticed a whole chunk of onion. Sandwich just seemed threw together, was way greasy than should’ve been too- still have a stomach ache. Won’t be coming in or ordering here ever
Horrible Service!!!! After waiting to be seated no one came to our table no water etc we had to ask the guy working the front after 20 minutes of waiting no- he did apologize and took our order. Someone finally came 10 min later with water and cups which smelled and the cups were dirty. Never again

2022-02-28Oh my god…the food, service, and presentation was just amazing at this place. I’ve read reviews that say it’s expensive but personally I don’t think it is. The prices are great for the quality and quantity of food you receive. I was definitely full from just my order. Not to mention, my mom got plenty of black coffee that was refillable for under $4! If you plan on checking this place out, it’s definitely worth the wait and money! So thankful for all of the hard working employees, you guys deserve so much more!

2022-07-02I was surprised and excited to see a First Watch in Michigan. My only experience with one previously was in Orlando. It was very good. The lemon ricotta pancakes were a big hit at our table. We also tried the cheesy grits, farmers scramble, potatoes, mimosas, and a bloody Mary. Our server was really nice and left us a cute note on our check because we told her we were going to IKEA.

2022-03-19This is my second time visiting the place and like the brunch options, fresh juice concoctions , coffee and their in-house organic maple syrup is just yum. Tried the hash vegetable skillet and frech toast with berry mix. Would keep going back . The place is clean, spacious and vibrant.

2022-04-26Really wonderful brunch place. Food has me wiggling with joy while I eat. Their Truffle mushroom hash was aromatic and decadent. Their lemon ricotta pancakes were super fluffy and moist. Their biscuits & turkey sausage gravy is super filling. I got the kale and morning meditation juice. Pretty nice to start the day off with. I suggest going during the a weekday as weekends are super crowded at this place with upward of an hour wait.Update: Came second time round. Really enjoy their seasonal rotation menu and selections of juices. Got the Lavender Haze and Pineapple express. Very refreshing. And the Farm hash and salmon frittata. Worth a try!

2022-04-16This place has been one of my favorites since I first discovered it last year. The food and drinks are top notch quality, the service and staff are fast/friendly/fun and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Theres a reason theres usually a crowd and all the seats are full. I get something different every time I go and Ive yet to be let down. Get in here and see what great food is all about!

2022-05-27I went to First watch on the Saturday before mothers day. As imagined, it was busy but I joined the waitlist on the site which helped out a bit. Once seated, it did take a while for our food to arrive. But the food was worth the wait. I ordered the BLT benedict, lemon ricotta pancakes and OJ. Everything was really tasty & fresh!

2022-05-16Decided to check out the Canton spot for the first time & pro tip, if youre super tired and the amazingly quick waitress asks you for your drink order b4 youve even glanced at a menu: Dont forget that the Morning GLORY is a screwdriver (as in HAS VODKA in it) & Morning MEDITATION is the orange/beet juice mix that you wanted 🤣 Great space, clean tables, fast service & delicious food. The Lemon Ricotta Pancakes are a MUST!

2022-08-06Great tasty options for breakfast. You can get the standard breakfast flair or something a little different. Service was a little slow. Picture is of the chickachinga, yes partially eaten, but couldnt tell how tasty it is if I didnt try it first.

2021-09-19Eaten here twice now. Once on Fathers Day and once today and both times the food was amazing. They have a new menu for each season with changing drink and food items. The wait wasnt long, they participate with DoorDash and Uber Eats. The food presentation is always beautiful as well. Cant wait to go back.

2022-04-30I dont usually dine at chain restaurants. However my friends and I had such a great dining experience at First Watch! I will return and would highly recommend dining there. We received excellent service from the very pleasant, and efficient staff from the time we arrived until we left. The food was delicious and presented as appetizingly as featured on the website. As well, I enjoyed seeing the positive engagement from the staff with the customers who were arriving/waiting as we were leaving.
