I came in the other day from PA, looking for walleye while I was up visiting. Sadly, no walleye, but the staff was excellent with helping me select the right gear to do the job and also taught me a few things while walleye fishing. They even directed me to a few good spots to try out (sadly only made it to one spot). I’ll definitely be going there again when I’m back in Michigan and I’ll try my luck again. Thank you, Lou for all your help and knowledge!

Incredibly helpful, moved here from out of state and wanted to get a fishing liscence. While I couldnt get a liscence since I have an out if state ID I was able to get a different type of liscence allowing me to fish, they had the unusual type of bait I use in stock and helped me allot. I was in and out and it didnt even take a full 5 minutes.
Bought a Ghost Walleye net which is made here in Flint Mi, staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. I am glad this business has survived the bigbox fishing/hunting stores and internet! I will continue to support them.
Very impressed with this store, prices are great which is amazing with the quality of customer service they give. The person i usually deal with on the weekend his name is Dan or Ben, he know what seems like most customers by name if not by face, he also knows a metric sh#t ton about fishing! If you are a weekend warrior or the most avid angler then this is your place if they dont have something they will track it down. Ill say it again very impressed!

I was in here today with my girlfriend and, as always, the staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. This, along with a nice selection for an even nicer price is what makes the Grab Bag one my absolute favorite tackle shop! Highly recommend to anyone from newcomers to pro anglers and anyone in between!

The customer service at this place is amazing as well as their knowledge!!! We ordered a trolling motor and due to supply issues there was a national backorder. Tom called at least once a week with an update on the status of delivery. Great local business to support!!!

I have been shopping at Fish and Tackle now for around 5 years, I loved the store and never had issues. Great employees, fair prices, and home town. Recently I called to get amped up for the walleye season and called to see about prices and availability on 6 Okuma line counter reels, the gentleman answered the phone and after I asked my question proceeded to tell me You know, we only have two people here right now and Im busy you are going to have to call back later if you really want them. I assumed he would ask for my number but did not so I asked when a better time would be and he said I dont know Im a busy guy. I was shocked. He was rude, he did not ask for a call back number and did not even give me a fighting chance. As far as I am concerned I will NEVER be back into the store. I am deeply saddened by the experience but I can get the same prices with better service elsewhere. Still in shock how rude the man was. I wish I could have left a positive review but this left a very sour taste in my mouth...
Always great service. The guys here know their stuff. Its so much better to support a place like this than say a large fishing chain store. This place sells what they know and love, hunting and fishing equipment. They can inform you on all kinds of things such as what has been working in the area as far as baita and different fishing sites in the area.

My husband loves this store. He was looking for a thingy for his fly rod, Dicks didnt have it, told the guy what he needed, the man knew exactly what my husband was talking about. This is a good size store cant imagine you cant find what you need. Why only 4 * well I didnt go in, had to stay in truck with dog, and not to many places get 5*s from me.
Great little sport shop off the beaten path. Helpful staff and great selection. If youre headed to the reservoir to fish stools through and say hello and ask whats biting for the day.
Today was my first time in the store, Im planning a fishing trip for steelhead. The staff there was incredibly knowledgeable, and helpful. Their selection of gear and tackle are impressive. I will definitely be shopping there again.

I absolutely love this Outdoor Store the older gentleman that waited on me was extremely nice and had great advice to give. He also included my children and the conversation we were going fishing with me and it was a great experience.
I really hate to bash on tackle shop but being a committed bass angler who knows a lot about bass fishing, I have to say that this place isnt as great as ratings say. Dont get me wrong its great for a quick stop to grab some minnows for bobber fishing but thats not what Im about. I want the high end stuff and this place just doesnt have it. Now there is some decent stuff in there but I think that it gets drowned out by all the old, useless stuff.

They have an amazing selection but not the Air Raider box to keep the fish alive when you catch them and you have to put them in the bucket. Other than That it is a good store to go to.
Extremely rude. Sorry you dont want to be at your place of employment. If that was the owner with the attitude maybe next time if you want to sell more than a bucket of minnows you should learn common courtesy.

I really like this place. I dont hunt but I do love to fish. Sometimes they will have deals, but that doesnt mean they are cheap. But the thing that makes me come back the most is how friendly the staff is and they really take the time out to know you and help you with whatever you need.
Enjoy going in here wish they carried a few items that I can only get at a place up north or online made by Storm. Almost always have deals going on for rods or reels. Just picked up a new okuma deadeye walleye rod and a daiwa reel loving it. Friendly,knowledgable, and helpful staff always pleasant even to just shoot the breeze with!

When it came to getting bulk spools of Mason Hard Type Nylon. FTGB, was the place. Would not hesitate to deal with them again. I constantly recommend them as the place to find Mason brand lines and if Im ever surfing thru Davidson MI, Id like to stop in for sure!
This was my favorite store when I was a kid back in the late 70s my Dad had a bait shop on the corner of Carpenter and Dort Highway anybody know if they still sell real warm fur parkas still would love to get one

Like the store except 1 employee, I have been shopping there for 30 years and there is one know it all who tells you what you need rather than asking what you need. He refuses service if you ask for something which may go against his beliefs and he never even asks why. I always try to avoid him when I enter the store but inevitably, on occasion, heis the only one available. Sadly I tired of his attitude and now refuse to go back. He must be part of the family business or he would be gone.

They had everything I needed, but i got 2 dozen walleye minnows and only about 6 of the minnows were of any size, the rest were crappie minnow in size. Go to grab bag for your hardware, but go to gander for your minnows.

2021-07-27Awesome local spot if you need any hunting, fishing, or even boating gear. The inside is pretty big with LOTS of inventory. They even had tubes for people to go boat tubing. Great selection of lures and fishing gear. If you cant find what youre looking for, ask the older gentleman - I think hes the owner. Hes got all sorts of stuff behind the counter and in the back.
