Comment: Insurance sent me to Fixit Auto in Berkeley and they had the vehicle for two months. After I get it back it made transmission noise on the freeway and had heavy vibration. Took it to my regular shop and turns out there was a crack in the transmission case that fix it tried to seal with silicone. The right bearing assembly was damaged. The engine cover was missing and a sway bar was bent. And something is very off about the alignment.

A big shout out to Eugene who is a true gentleman and was so reassuring during the whole process whenever I had the pleasure of speaking with him. It of course took a while to get a matching rear view mirror considering the age of my vehicle, but a replacement was procured and it looks great! I recommend Fix Auto for those who want smart and responsive auto repair.

When I showed up, they had not bothered to check that bumper clearly did not fit correctly. They blamed it on the insurance company.I’m not sure how the insurance company could affect the integrity of their work. I won’t be returning to this shop.If I have to take time out of my day to come to pick up something that hasn’t been inspected then the shop has failed in their service and has disrespected my time. I pay a lot of money every month and deserve to receive quality work. These guys aren’t even doing the minimum. I had Friendly staff yet sloppy work. Comment: Stay away from Fix Auto Berkeley, even if it is recommended by your insurance company. A simple bumper and fog light replacement went from 5 days to 10 days and counting. They keep ordering new parts, a week after I dropped the car off, and of course continue to bill my insurance. If the guy on the phone says “a hard 1pm today” don’t expect it to be done until maybe 3 days later.

Our repair had a wrinkle that Samaan helped us with the whole process because I was not an authorized driver on my insurance policy so there were insurance hang ups. They were as proactive as they could be, meanwhile it was insurance delaying the process. I really appreciated Samaan’s texts about progress of the vehicle and managed his resources so well that there was a ~4-5 day turn around. Fix Auto Berkeley were able to fix the car window before my father was even out of the Hospital.Please note they share a parking lot with apartment complex next door; so the line of what is their’s is a little blurry. Just ask the team inside and they will be more than happy to help.

My suspension was broke as well due to the impact. I thought my car would possibly be totaled out due to the severe damages. But Eugene and his guys restored my car like new! My car was hit on the right front fender, and the moment I brought it into their shop, I immediately felt that I was in the best place I could be in to have by my car fixed. Josh and the staff were friendly, relaxed, welcoming, and reassuring. They knew the drill, and worked directly with my insurance company without me lifting a finger. They obtained the parts needed with no fuss or problem, and once the part came in and I brought my car back in, it was fixed and ready back to me fast in no time. Josh even assisted me to fix another separate minor dent on the side of my car (not included in my insurance claim) for a very reasonable price - he worked to bring that price down for that separate minor dent coming from my own pocket by consulting another less expensive dent repair fixer. And everything was fixed perfect, like new!!! Thank you very very much, Josh and staff. If ever my car gets hit again (hopefully not), I know where to go!!!

Comment: I chose Platinum from a list of pre-approved nearby body shops from Nationwide Insurance after a fender-bender. My mechanic had a good impression of them from dealing with them over the phone. The work was completed promptly and on schedule. It wasnt major (replacement of a bumper assembly), but it was completed to my complete satisfaction. Their communication was surprisingly great. They offer the option to receive phone calls or emails for status updates. I opted for email and got a bunch of them reporting progress. And they were very helpful on the rental car coordination. Very friendly & professional folks in the office. Satisfied customer here.

Comment: Had a log come through my windshield while driving on the highway. After reading reviews of Platinum Auto shop, I wanted to take my car to them. Im very glad I did. They handled everything perfectly and were compassionate, which I wasnt expecting. The entire process was communicated well by Juan; and in the end they fixed my dented hood, replaced the windshield and repaired damage done to the dash. Hoping I wont need them again, but if I ever needed a body shop, I would go back to Platinum in an instant!

Comment: Very professional, friendly service from everyone I worked with here. The back of my new car must have been hit pretty hard while parked because the bumper, corner panel and tail light showed a fair amount of damage. After they were done fixing it, I never would have known it wasnt straight from the factory.The first time I went to pick it up I noticed the back hatch wasnt aligned quite right on one side. (It hadnt taken any visible damage so we werent sure if something had happened in the incident or if it had just come from the factory like that) They kept it an extra day to fix that too and now its perfect.Would definitely trust my car to them again for any repairs. Comment: I will always bring my vehicles here for all repairs. I have been rear ended twice this year, both times I have had it repaired here. My poor Miatas bumper has taken a beating, but both times I have brought it in, they have made it look brand new again. I was worried about paint matching, but they got it spot on. They also go the extra mile as far as calling me as soon as they have an update. I recommend Platinum Auto Collision and Paint to anyone who cares about their vehicle and want it to look as good as it did (if not better) than it did before an accident. Thanks guys!
