Then, there is Elias Boulas (my saleman) who I met over the phone, I told him exactly what I would and wouldn’t do. He paid attention and when I came to test drive the car and followed up the next day with a phone call, he made it happen. I had a pleasant experience doing one of the most unpleasant things to do, and that is buying a new car at a dealership. Thanks Elias for listening and working with me.

Comment: I came in for a warranty repair on the Tire Pressure Monitoring System on my new 2023 Chevy Bolt EUV Premier. I first tried my local Elk Grove Chevy dealer, but after waiting 5 days after contacting them with no appointment scheduled yet and seeing a lot of bad Yelp reviews, I decided I would have to look for a dealer with much better ratings and promptness. This led me to Folsom Chevrolet where they promptly booked me for Friday morning 17 May at 7:30 AM (their opening time and my preferred service time) and the every other Friday that I have off (my preferred service day). They promptly replaced the faulty tire pressure monitor on the right rear tire and that cleared the Service Tire Monitor System warning message and Tire Pressure Light. I was in and out in an hour and 13 minutes. I am pleased with how Folsom Chevrolet handled this warranty repair from start to finish.

Comment: They failed to pay the lien-holder for over 60 days on a trade in and caused it to go to collections. Paid another month on it to buy them time and now they owe me 250$. Their only job and existence is to do the paperwork between the car manufacturer, the customer and the banks and they cant do that. Better off going literally anywhere else since theyll screw up their only responsibility and leave you submitting disputes with all three credit bureaus.

All I needed was a recall on the charging cord accessory that came with my bolt, and a tire rotation. It literally is just plugging in the cord to test it, probably took them 30 seconds. I was there for 3 hrs. I was just put in the queue without thought for what service I actually needed and thus was made to wait for an unnecessarily long time.

Comment: 1st time here, pulled up to the Service Dept where there’s a line for service and one for quick lube. I booked an oil change & tire rotation appointment. I didn’t know which line to pull up to so I pulled up to the quick lube and parked a little further back. I sat there and waited for direction, no one bothered to approach me. It wasn’t until one of the service guys “hauls” around the parking lot in a customer’s yellow Vette and tries to get in front of me to get the Vette in for a lube, someone actually asked me what I’m here for. This service guys approach and attitude was not exactly pleasant. He couldn’t get through so only then did he ask me what I’m here for. I tell him that I’m here for an oil change/rotation and then he tells me to pull up to the service line. Maybe I should’ve apologized for inconveniencing him even though I parked further back and left him plenty of room to pull in?After pulling up to Service, still no one so I walk inside. There were 3 service advisors, male #1 was busy with a customer, the male #2 asked if I was there for an oil change. I said yes, he tells me you’re next in line with male #1 that was with a customer. The 3rd advisor, a lady, was chatting it up with an another employee. She totally didn’t even acknowledge I was there waiting. When it was my turn, service advisor #1 helped me, very nice Asian guy who’s only been there for 5 months. I would give him 5 stars separately for his great customer service if I could.While he’s helping me, another customer walks in, white male. The female service advisor immediately stops her chatting, “Can I help you sir?” to the customer that just walked in. In this day and age, I’m very disappointed to see this type of inequitable racial treatment being so blatantly obvious.

I even made an appointment, arrived 10 minutes early and waited in the waiting area. My truck was finally brought in for service at about the 2 hour mark. 30 minutes later I was called (on my phone) to let me know about an issue. I decided it would be better to give a different dealership my business in the future and declined to have the issue fixed. The excuse of being busy, and already having cars in the shop is not valid. What’s the point of making an appointment then? I saw plenty of service employees walking around doing nothing, eating food or getting drinks from the vending machines. I was not the only customer that was frustrated with the extremely slow service. One customer I was speaking with had an appointment to get new tires and had been waiting for over 2 hours.

Comment: The staff at the service counter were very kind helpfull, it all went bad after that. I went in for an oil change and tire rotation. They called me and said the cabin air filter needed to be replaced, I told them I had a filter at home and didnt need that serviced. When they returned the car to me the glove box was still taken apart and the contents were scattered about the car. I am still having a hard time getting the glove box to close properly again. In addition, they were unable to rotate the tires because it took a socket key that I did not have with me. However, when I went to the auto shop supply store they gave me one for free and said its a universal and that they are shocked that chevy would not have this on hand. In the end they charged me the same price for just the oil change, and did not deduct the rotation. I also expected to receive a debrief from the technician about the safety of the car and how the oil change went, this time no one talked to me just gave me the keys and sent me on my way. The administrative staff were kind and efficient but the service team needs some work.

Comment: Not a pleasant experience. Maybe I was scheduled with a trainee, but doesnt seem like she knew what she was doing. She gave me hopes that Chevy can cover the deductible on the extended warranty but that was not the case. She didnt inform me about the diagnosis until three days later when I called and left a message. I was offered a rental and never told that the warranty would not cover it until I returned it and found out they charged me for the rental and the full deductible. Maybe it is common not to tell the quoted price of repair anymore? Paying isnt the problem if I was at least told/quoted beforehand. I was told my car was ready almost a week later and when I went to pick up my fixed truck, it turns out the mechanic went home with my keys locked up in his cabinet. I will have to come back and pick up my car the next day. This will be the last time I take my truck to this dealership as I did all the maintenance there. I will say that this wasnt the first time they screwed things up, but for sure will be the last time.

Comment: I made an appointment at Folsom Chevrolet to have a recall addressed and the oil changed for my newer corvette. I was told the work could be done in two to three hours on the phone. When I dropped it off I was told that they might not complete the work until the following day. I was happy to receive a call about six hours later letting me know my car could be picked up. I called at 5 pm to see how late I could pick up my car and was told the service department closes at 5:30 pm which I could not do as I was downtown. The next morning I go to pick up my car and the service guy brings my car to the front of the lot and I point out two large bird crap areas on my car which was spotless when I dropped it off. The service guy ignored my comment and started telling me how great chevys are but never offered to clean or have someone clean the bird crap off my car. So I drive it home, clean the bird crap off the car then notice two large greasy smudges on the back of the car below the rear spoiler. Tried to clean the smudges but apparently the oily substance slightly etched itself into my shiny new paint. Come on Folsom Chevrolet, time to improve your customer service across the board in your service department. This is my second bad experience with this dealership.

Last time they forgot to rehook up the vacuum tubes, before that a major service left me with the head gaskets leaking, and now I take it in for an oil change and they screwed up the air cabin filter replacement by causing a coolant leak from breaking a plastic connector to the heater hose. I had to take it to Roseville Chevrolet to have them fix Folsoms screw ups. Folsom Chevrolets mechanics are sloppy at best and deadly at their worst.

I have watched videos reviewing dealership service centers in the past, specifically ones being investigated for charging for things that aren’t needed in hopes of increasing sales through employees on commission based pay. I was expecting to be told I needed service on my vehicle while there . They only recommended tires in near future which is absolutely true and they didn’t not push it at all. My personal rep was very friendly welcoming and made me feel special. Although I know it’s their job to do so I felt it was beyond sincere.if it hadn’t been it wouldn’t matter because it felt that way. That’s what matters most to me . They didn’t make me feel like I was lesser than or try to outsmart me in the amount of knowledge they had about my vehicle. In fact my rep complimented me on the amount of knowledge I had . Very commonly people gaslight or try to act like know matter what they are have to one up you. This is not something I experienced here. . I have 4 stars out of 5 becuase 4,5 wasn’t an option and let’s be real no body is absolutely perfect . I guess if I had to say what would give 5 stars I would have been approached when I pulled into the parking lot and told where to go instead of having to get out of the vehicle and try to find on my own where I was supposed to go or where I was supposed to park the vehicle . No big deal too. The other thing that would have helped would have been towasmvgğto wash my car and I was expecting that but the car wasn’t washed or it was but then got dirty again before I saw it z the inside was not cleaned at all which would have been really nice . I cleaned the loaner really good before returning it and it would have been nice to get into a clean car inside and out when I left there, . In all fairness I returned the loaner which less gas than when I got it because I just forgot and then realized it after I was there but it’s not like they knew that. Overall; near perfect…especially my rep Devin. She’s got to be the best because you just can’t get any better than that. To emphasize that point, I wouldn’t have left a review, but I felt it wouldn’t have been fair to her to not receive one for the exceptional job she did. That is one and only reason for even considering a review. If anyone is going to be using this dealership service center Folsom Lake Chevrolet, I would definitely call ahead and request that you get Devin as your rep if you want the best experience possible..

I thought this was unorganized and confusing.The oil change went well but then I found another change: instead of paying the cashier and going out to the front to have my car delivered to me, I paid at the service desk and was sent out to try to find my car. Last week I scheduled an appointment at Folsom Chevrolet with Jake Chavez. His communication prior to our appointment was prompt and courteous, even on his day off from the dealership. During the appointment Jake explained the technical and very important details of the car to me, and was very patient with my novice questions. During the test drive, Jake was super informative and covered the details that normally would have been difficult to figure out on my own. His knowledge base of the car I drove (and purchased) made a big difference in my buying decision, and I felt very comfortable asking what I thought may may be dumb questions. The actual purchase with the sales manager and Jake was was more like friends sitting around a table having a discussion than the typical car sale that I had been accustomed to. Overall, Folsom Chevrolet and Jake Chavez gave me an experienced, educated and professional experience that I can wholeheartedly recommend to others.

When I was greeted by my advisor, she shared with me that the screening picked up on an alignment issue with my tires. The wear was on the inside of the tire. Somewhere me or my husband wouldnt look. Comment: I would give service a five star rating. The service team from those who answer the phone and set up your appointments to the technicians are amazing. The two (2) star rating is due to the poor service I have had with buying a car since the dealership exchanged owners. First, they scam you with their ceramic finish cost (not on the big bold price or website) so when you are signing papers you pay for a product you did not want but they applied. Price increase there. Alarm system add on (again not reflected in the price until after signing) but they charge you. Pushy upselling of warranties so before you know it, the price of the car is an additional 4-5k more. Be careful if you have a trade in, paperwork does not get filed correctly with the DMV, you go to the dealer to have them resolve this and of course the person who handles this is not in at 3:15 in the afternoon. A promise of a call to get it resolved the very next day and guess what…no follow through. I called and was told she was in but I was sent straight to voicemail. Now I’m waiting to hear from her but I won’t hold my breath. I love Chevy, but this dealer needs to train their team and do much better. The new owner should be ashamed of the decline from where this was just a few years ago.

Comment: Coming from being serviced in Modestos American Chevrolet which I miss to the Sacramento area, I decided to try Folsom Chevrolet and Im glad I did. This last visit my Trax was overheating with lost of coolant. I had the Trax towed in and the service advisor Johnathan Freeland assured me that my vehicle would be taken care of when there was time available since they were booked. To my surprise the vehicle was worked into the schedule and completed in a day. Johnathan kept me informed every step of way and the service to my Trax was excellent.

Comment: Im sure the sales team is A+, but service center lacks terribly. Devon Winchester has a passive aggressive attitude towards customers. Was told an alignment price over the phone and when i went in for the alignment she said it’s $70 more than what I was quoted (in the rudest way possible). She had to get a manager to approve the price I was told over the phone because I refused to pay $200 for an alignment. She said $200 was actually a discount becuase it’s usually $370! $370 for an alignment is such a lie. Roseville Chevy charges much less for alignment. Also inquired about a street alignment vs the normal z06 track alignment that usually is preformed on z06s. Her reply was a track alignment is over $700 so your car is good to drive on the streets. Not only is she rude as can be but she doesn’t know anything about corvettes or any other cars. Couldn’t wait to leave and will not return (especially to Devon)

Comment: Nice and clean waiting area service little concern tire has a screw close to edge of tire they said cant fix it they advised just to keep the screw inside I ask what if I get a flat and they said theres nothing they can do my questions is. Is the safety of your customer not important knowing that the screw can fly out of the tire and go flat and possibly cause a accident that would indager me and others on the road.

Comment: Experience with the service dept only! Can’t speak for sales. Service advisor was pleasant and polite. They were unable to locate the cause for uneven rear tire wear, and recommended inflating tires more (above spec), and rotating tires every 3k miles. So, that’s the solution? Upon visual inspection, there is an obvious difference in wheel position-one in further and one slightly poking out. Guess they missed that. This car doesn’t have any way to adjust rear alignment, but there has to be a cause for 1 tire to wear differently than the other. At least we only had to pay for 1 hour for this inspection. Suppose we will have to find another dealership/mechanic to investigate this further, as the tires are expensive!!UPDATE: 12/27/23After speaking with Christina and working with Jonathan again, we were definitely satisfied with the service. Christina offered to take the car back and do a more digging on our issue. They even took it to a body shop to see deep underneath the car! They were able to identify the issue with the car and unfortunately, the cost to repair is high and this particular car was purchased as a commuter. While it was in a previous accident, the damage reported was not in line with what was found on further inspection. That is on the dealer the car was from in the bay. All in all, Folsom Chevy treated us very well and we were definitely satisfied with their service!!When picking up the vehicle, the driver seat was adjusted to the floor including the seat back to a “lowrider” position.PS-the shop rate is $215/hr!!! Is this the Bay Area?!? I sure hope they pay their guys well with that rate!!

The service manager at this location is great as well. I’ve left him messages when I’ve had my check engine light on or if I need to get my car in right away and he calls me right back. I moved here from the Bay Area and never received the great service and friendliness from any of the GM/Chevy Service departments there as I do here. I went in at my designated appointment time and the servicing department specifically David and Jonathan were absolutely horrible. They spoke to me with zero customer service, and refused to assist me and kept me waiting for about two hours even though I had an appointment. Justin and Will ended up helping me and were very professional and understanding and resolved the issue. Do not work with David or Jonathan, they shouldn’t have a job here.

Comment: We own 3 Chevy’s and bring all of our vehicles to you guys. Staff is great. My only feedback is on timeliness. Last time we came they called to tell us it was ready. When we arrived they couldn’t find the paperwork. It took 20 min to locate it. We were late to get our kids from school. This time when made sure we didn’t have anything else to do. They found the paperwork but we’ve been waiting 20 min. The originally said they were finishing up but now are saying they can’t find our key. Not the way I want to spend my day. I want to give you all a 5 or at least a 4 star but after this it barely a 3.
