Comment: Just had a salesman from Folsom Lake Hyundai question whether or not the 4th of July is a religious holiday when I told him I couldn’t talk.I’m paraphrasing, but he basically said, “You answered the call, why can’t you talk? Is it a religious holiday? I’ve never heard it’s a religious holiday.” This might’ve been funny if he wasn’t clearly flustered and angry and tripping over his words.Apparently this was the second time I answered their follow up call (an unknown #) after an incredibly brief test drive only to tell them it was a bad time to chat. Which it was. Because the fourth of July IS a holiday. Not a religious one, no. But one people still spend in the company of friends. Guess that’s difficult for a Folsom Lake Hyundai sales guy to comprehend.

But we get treated after sales like we bought a candy from store . Sales manager was rude keep saying u got a good deal but u can’t get two keys. We only have one but on website it was clear we will get two keys is matter of promise what they said before or what they provide after . Comment: Unfortunately, my cars engine was failing. I had to have it towed out to Hyundai once I found out I had an extended warrant available for the fix. They had no loner cars for me which I was not very happy about. I had no car for about two weeks and had to rent a car out of pocket.I didn’t get a rental approved until about 10 days later. Thankfully I was able to find a rental and get a refund for it. I didn’t have my car for 6 weeks. It was promised to be ready by Friday. However, I received a text that it wasn’t ready that morning. Once again, I was disappointed. I was able to pick it up a few days later. I asked the service adviser for someone to clean it for me before I picked it up. It was a mess and nobody cleaned it. I was able to get this issue resolved but had to wait another 2 hours while it was getting cleaned. My experience was alright. Hyundai paid for my engine to get replaced but no warranty for the new engine. Beware of purchasing a Hyundai! It’s not worth the headache.

Comment: I had an appointment to fix a recall that risked a spark in the engine and the recall paperwork encouraged me to not park near structures until it was fixed, and my appointment for something seemingly serious was scheduled 10 days out. The day of, my fuse replacement didnt start until 90 minutes after my appointment. Ultimately it was fixed but all around me were symptoms of poor scheduling and people waiting. Jim was professional and took the heat all afternoon for the company but overall big inconvenience for something that was their issue. I was there over 2 hours, with an appointment for a 45 min fix.

We had specific features we wanted for our 2024 Hyundai, and our local area dealerships could not deliver or provide a timeline to reserve a vehicle. My wife reached out to Folsom Lake Hyundai. Not only could they confirm we could get our specific features, but communicated well throughout the process including delivery day. Given the distance to Folsom Lake Hyundai, we were able to complete paperwork and financing remotely, and our Salespeople Bogar delivered our vehicle to our home and spent time reviewing all features. See photos of the email she sent me and her review of the dealership.I have posted and deleted my review a few times and ultimately decided to let it go, but after being alerted that someone at the dealership was looking at my LinkedIn (WHY??)I decided to go ahead and repost my experience.The sales portion was fine. Finance was fine. I let them duck my trade a bit because they gave me a good deal on the car and Drew and Nic were nice. Fernando in finance was nice. Service after the sale was terrible and Ivan is rude and not a problem solver. He was condescending and accusing.They gave me 39k for my trade and are trying to sell for $45,600 yet they refused to replace a cracked windshield on my brand new car. The crack occurred while I was following my salesperson to have something notarized more than 100 miles away. I would never have been on the road had it not been for that requirement by the dealership. We could have worked something out to make us both happy but instead I was blamed for not “walking the car” before we left. We had a hour and 50 min to get somewhere 2 hours away. So I couldn’t go over the car thoroughly. My windows were not cleaned and still had residue from the plastic wrap on the back window. They didn’t even offer to have me come in so they could look at it. Ivan just passed blame and avoided any ownership of the problem. I am unable to reach my salesman for tech assistance now since my last messages were not responded to. I’m being avoided by everyone it seems. I didn’t have time to get a proper delivery since we had to drive to NEVADA for the notary.Hyundai is a great product, my family owns 3. Unfortunately, what should have been an easy deal with a five star review has turned into something very unpleasant at this dealership.

Comment: This location always gives me minor problems and annoyances with service - maybe they are understaffed. IN the end the service seems fine, but here are some specific examples of issues Ive had over the last decade with them:They estimate a completion time and its hit or miss whether they will come close, but they dont call to let you know its delayed.You call for a status and despite pressing the number for service desk you still have to go through the main switchboard and maybe talk to three people before getting a simple answer.They say theyll have your advisor call you back in 5-10 minutes but they never call.Service advisors apparently arent able to look up your info if they arent the one who did your intake, so good luck if your advisor is busy.Theyll tell you they have a coupon to apply to your service for a small discount, then dont apply it.Not to mention one time they damaged my cars body on the underside, clearly by jacking it up wrong or something, then blamed me for the damage when I finally noticed it a week later.

Total time sitting in the lounge was 2.5 hours. Slow service and pathetic.Do not plan to have my vehicle serviced at the dealership anymore. Mechanics take advantage of set labor time for specific tasks. I believe they are not capable of multi-tasking. Comment: Prior to visiting the dealership, I called and spoke with the sales manager Robbie Sundquist to inquire if they would be able to offer a specific trade-in value for my car, which is in immaculate condition with low mileage. The manager assured me that it shouldnt be a problem, so I scheduled a visit after work because the manager had the audacity to assure me theyd honor a value within the range of requested. In good faith, I set aside my valuable time to visit the dealership, only to be slapped in the face with a disrespectful offer that was a whopping $10,000 lower than what he assured me wouldn’t be a an issue.Not only did their offer fall drastically short of our discussion, but it was also $5,000 less than the lowest offers I received from five different dealerships. When I questioned this outrageous discrepancy, the manager nonchalantly shrugged it off, stating they classify all trade-ins as fair condition—a deceptive and unethical practice, to say the least.I left the dealership feeling infuriated and completely disrespected. Folsom Lake Hyundais deceitful tactics, unprofessionalism, and blatant disregard for customer satisfaction are inexcusable. Avoid this dealership at all costs and take your business to an establishment that values honesty, integrity, and transparency.

Ed even drive to our house to pick up some paperwork that was need, rather than making us have to drive back to the dealership. Ed was very professional and provided excellant service.The only thing we could complain about had nothing to do with the sales team. The showroom and offices were void of any artwork or plants. Would have made the environment a little more comfortable. We loved their coffee machine and popcorn, but a vending machine would have been nice to get a few snacks. This was 5 star service.

Comment: Absolutely terrible experience, brought in a 2012 veloster turbo with a misfire and customer stated that they thought there was a boost leak. The technician took off all the hose clamps, broke 2 of them and didn’t re-install them, the service advisor charged 600 for 4 spark plugs what were fine and the diagnostic. The car was brought into my shop at future Nissan where I installed new hose clamps and found the discarded ones still under the hood. Calling the dealership at noon sent me to a remote worker who could not contact anyone at the dealership and told me someone would call me back, 3 and a half hours later I call back and get a different remote worker telling me they are closed at 5 (it was 3:30) and to call tomorrow. I called sales and the phone rang for 10 minutes before I gave up. When I called parts I got an actual person and asked them to find and transfer me to a service manager. The phone then went to voicemail and I gave up for the day. I will be contacting bar and requesting a full refund for the service performed on the vehicle

Comment: Went in for a car diagnostics on a Friday. They said it would take until 5pm, and would check in at 3. I received no check in call and it took me 3.5 hrs to get someone on the phone to talk to. No one would answer the phone, and when I was able to get a hold of someone, they said the service department was busy and they would call back. They didn’t. So I was stranded at my job, with no update on my car and without being able to get ahold of anyone to talk to about getting an Uber back to the dealership. When I finally got back to the dealership around 5:30, no one seemed to care about the customer service I had received for the last 3 hours. It was awful and will likely not be using this dealership as my car servicing again.

Robbie the sales manager came in for the big sales push, but he wasn’t overbearing as some sales managers can be. I actually bought the car and when I got home I realized the tires had lock nuts on them and I couldn’t find a key. I texted Rufino and he got the ball rolling for me to be able to take my tires off if I have to.

The told me I would end up paying $250 for the service and analysis of my vehicle, and it turned out the problem WAS a recall issue. Then got my car back. And check engine light was off now 3 days later the check engine light is back on and I dont even want to take it to a company that doesnt value its customers or work value. He brought up both cars we were looking to compare and took us on 2 test drives.we were kind of undecided so he took the time to walk us the differences of both vehicles which was helpful. We decided to purchase the 2024 Santa Cruz “Night”. We then met “Oz” the Manager who negotiated with us on a price. He found enough rebates to get to our target price and the deal was done. The finance manager Phil got us through the paperwork quickly. He explained the benefits of their extended warranties without the usual high- pressure tactics which was appreciated. The car was delivered clean and shiny and Matthew finished up the purchase with a complete rundown of the features of the truck. We’ve purchased many cars over the years but this was one of the best experiences. Highly recommend Folsom Lake Hyundai!

I bought the vehicle because they said they would deliver it to me in Nevada so that I could drive to my home state without having to register it first in California. So, I completed the deal and they said they would detail it and get it ready and deliver it the next day. When the vehicle arrived the passenger floor mat was missing. The guy who sold it to me and delivered it the next day acknowledged that it was there the day before. We had a conversation about it during the test drive and how slippery it was from the oils left on it after cleaning. He called the detail department but they didnt have it. It disappeared. These are custom Ram floor mats that are very expensive and I cant find them anywhere. The sales guy said he would send me a floormat, because I told him I didnt want to go through with the sale otherwise. A woman called to follow up with loan paperwork and also told me she would mail me a new floor mat. I have still not received the custom RAM floormat the clicks in to place and is very specific to the vehicle. For as much money as I spent on the truck I shouldnt have to deal with something like this. Over a year later. Still waiting.

Comment: I started a transaction to lease a 2024 Kona Electric SEL on 04/26/2024. I called and spoke to sales manager Robbie Sundquist who said they had them in stock and to come check them out. They did not have Konas and tried to upsell me into a different car immediately. After all the hoops were jumped through I finally got Robbie and Jawad Sultani, salesman, to talk about the Kona. They told me all the incentives including 3 years of free maintenance and 2 years of free charging through Electrify America. They informed me I would need to contract a deal in order for them to get a Kona Electric SEL. I declined and said I would not take a car I had never seen. The next day (04/27/2024) the lead sales manager Drew Taylor called me and offered to give me a deal at the agreed terms and that he could have a car in later that day for me to check out. Jeff Oswald, inventory manager, called me soon after and told me he could have one in later that day. Hours later, no call. We went back into the dealership on Sunday where again they said I had to contract it to get one there, and I did under the pretenses that the car would be delivered to my home later that day (04/28/2024). Later I was informed that the car would not be delivered due to an issue with the other dealership. On Monday (04/29/2024) I was told again that the car would be delivered to my home around 4:00 PM that day. I waited and received no call. I called them and they notified me that I had to come back in and change the terms of my lease agreement. I went back to the dealership and we adjusted the paperwork. When leaving I was given the code for the 2 years free charging through Electrify America and it did not work. I was told by salesman Ruffino and Jeff Oswald that it would be handled on Tuesday morning (04/30/2024). I contacted Ruffino and was told the vehicle no longer qualified and thats that. I went into the dealership later that Tuesday and was turned away because there was nothing they could do. They have not approached me with comparable programs or any other incentives as an alternative to what they originally offered. I will NEVER deal with Folsom Lake Hyundai after this experience and will take my business elsewhere. I highly recommend all prospective buyers stay clear of Folsom Lake Hyundai.

Comment: I don’t trust them to work on my car.There was a recall on my car for a leaking valve cover gasket. I made the appointment online and waited two weeks for it. At the appointment, they had my car for a few hours and confirmed that the valve cover gasket was leaking, which was obvious as the whole engine was covered in oil. Then they said they would have to order parts and it would be a few weeks to get them in. 4 phone calls, and 2-3 weeks later, I got my car back in to be serviced; they said they fixed it, and I left.The inspection sheet said that my serpentine belt needed replacement, which seemed odd as I had replaced it just 2000 miles ago. Also I noticed a few bracket bolts were now missing, nothing critical but annoying. Lastly, there was gasket maker smeared all over the front of the engine3000 miles later and now it is leaking oil way worse than before. It was leaking at the bottom T joint, but now it was leaking from the entire bottom side of the valve cover gasket. I contacted them via the Contact Us section of the website with what was going on, my last apt date, number, and VIN. They never replied, but I did get a message at 10pm asking if I wanted to check out their online inventory… no I just want my car fixed.Due to the lack of communication and the fact that they made the problem worse the last time they worked on my car, I decided to change the valve cover gasket myself and came to discover they further damaged my car. When taking off all the bolts for the valve cover, some of the bolts were way too tight, some were finger-tight, and one was stripped. They had clearly tightened the bolts with an electric rachet of sorts, never used a torque wrench, and did not re-tighten after the first pass like you are supposed to as it can flex after tightening down.Long story short, I will not be bringing my car here again, even though it was a recall and the price to me was free

Comment: I went to Folsom lake Hyundai because my vehicle has a parasitic electrical draw that kills my battery upon my first visit they removed a fuse that was supposed “fix” my vehicle and jump started my battery, my car later died the same day so I replaced my battery thinking it was dead due to the prior draw with the BIGGEST DURALAST battery auto zone had and my car proceeded to drain said battery within a week and a half much faster than ANY other time my car drained my battery (a new battery usually lasted me at least 3 months) meaning whatever FOLSOM LAKE HYUNDAI did to my car made it worse. I returned my vehicle to them and upon its return after not hearing from them for 4 days I was told my car does have a parasitic draw (information I’ve known and they’ve known for weeks now) and it would be $600 to further diagnose it. Me being the sound thinking individual I am refuse to pay for them to further diagnose a problem that they themselves created. My technician MARK said he would speak to his manager and call me back I did not receive a call or hear from MARK for Two whole days now bringing the time they’ve had my car to 6 days. After finally reaching him on Friday he tells me after further diagnoses there actually is no parasitic draw on my vehicle (he is now backtracking on his prior diagnosis) and that my car can be picked up because they have no recommendations because there is no problem. I pick up my vehicle on Saturday afternoon at around 12 PM and my car proceeded to die YET AGAIN on the same day at 9:00 PM in the middle of downtown Sacramento. Wanna know what the technician from AAA told me? “Your car 100% has a parasitic draw because your battery is 2.7 volts and your alternator works just fine those guys don’t know what they’re talking about” it sounds like FOLSOM LAKE HYUNDAI owes me free fix on my vehicle but I most likely won’t receive it from such a poorly managed establishment.

We got a notification they ran our credit again! Less 60000 miles. Dropping car off and picking up professional but not so with dealing with work shop. I was given a loaner car much appreciated but I was unfamiliar with controls and gadgets...push button . I asked for orientation on car but found out later they did not know the car. I was on a hill and the brake did not automatically release. Had a urgent appointment. Called dealership to ask where the manual release was and placed on hold with being told someone would call me. I was panicking due to distance of appointment. People stopped to help since I was blocking traffic. They were helpful. I think they didnt know where the release was and were on a computer. Comment: The certified used car I purchased malfunctioned after less than 20 hours. I took it back to the dealership where it has been for over a month. When I requested that I be able to look for a car I could be confident in they talked about their inspection process. The same process that didn’t capture the major issue with the car they sold me. But as the service manager said, “ i’m just the messenger”The message: shop elsewhere!!!Updates:It just gets better and better at Folsom Lake Hyundai. I went to pick up my car on Saturday, after calling and informing the “service” department I would be there. I was told, see you tomorrow and that was all. When I arrived the keys could not be found. After 30 minutes Oz, the sales manager, said they the “service” department didn’t know I was coming. Lie 1.It was after hours, but nothing was said during my phone call the day before except, see ya tomorrow.Oz suggested I bring the loaner back on Monday. The dealer is an hour drive from work. I said I’d bring it Saturday. He suggested they drive mine here and pick up the loaner which I agreed to.I get a call from “ service” today telling me I have to drop off the loaner and if I don’t they will charge a daily rate. I said i won’t pay it. ( note: they had already asked me to drive there again, because they neglected to fill out the paperwork for the loaner)They call back and threaten again, this time with the added bonus of saying they can come pick up the loaner but they can’t bring my car to me. So they can drive an hour here to get their car, but not bring the car they had for 5 weeks and I had for a day.The Tucson I purchased passed their pre-owned inspections. I was told they wanted to make sure I was a happy consumer, the manager responded to my review saying let’s talk.But had done nothing to mitigate the horror show of an experience this has been. They are wonderful in the public eye, but that facade fades when you ask for decent service and accountability.What is really upsetting is that my brother bought a car from CarMax after I was sold a lemon. He found a problem and they took it back, gave him no problems with the loaner, and let him choose something else off the lot. Thecomplete opposite of my experience with this dealer.It was all bad, but to not drop off the car is complete BS.I bet this review won’t garner any action either, but at least you all have been warned.Update:FLH - unable to keep a straight story. I called the sales manager Drew as he asked on his response to my review. Rather than an apology, accountability, or sincerity I got the usual FLH bs. The lack of service department called at 6 this evening about the loaner. Not my car they had for over a month because it malfunctioned less than 20 hours after driving off the lot. I had to remind them of their story line. I was told I could t return the car after hours when I asked why they didn’t leave my keys and paperwork for checkout on Saturday- since they knew I was coming.I was told o couldn’t return the loaner after hours because of the paperwork. They seem to have no answer for how I am to get the car to them when I have a late work week and am an hour away.I reminded him if that today, he told me his job was to get the car. So I see my error. I thought their job was to sell and maintain reliable vehicles. I thought as they are the “service” department their job was to ensure that the cars they sell work without malfunction.The sales manager Oz has dangled the we will pick it up bait twice and reneged on it both times. That’s when the game starts, he’s sales- he’s a manager and k owns the protocol of the business. Guess I’ll have to contact Hyundai corporate.So to be clear the mission is not to sell reliable cars and trucks- remember this children.#should have gone to CarMax

Comment: Incompetent and insultingWhile there for a software update to correct Hyundais design that made them easy to steal, I was quoted $150 for an oil change with oil and fuel additives recommended since this was the first oil change since the engine was replaced.The engine was replaced after it siezed due a known defect settled after a class action lawsuit.After 3 hours, I was advised in the waiting area that the software update was not only unsuccessful but when it quit, it erased the existing software on the car. No estimate of when it could be fixed was given other than they were contacting corporate for instructions. After another half hour, I was told that the car was now driveable but had not had the software update I was there for. I opted to wait while they tried again instead of coming back and wasting another day.After 6 hours (for an oil change and a software update) I was told the car was finished and directed to the cashier.....where I was billed full price for service that doesnt take 2 hours. I questioned whether that was appropriate and was offered a $10 coupon that was available to anyone. Jett stated that he needed to talk to a manager to get permission to offer any other discounts....I urged him to do so.Their final, insulting offer was 10%, or $15, off after I waited 6 hours for a 2 hour job that was..A)Overpriced and included upcharges to limit their known defective engine from seizing.B)Required to fix their poor design that makes the car easy to steal.This was my second visit to this location, the last time being to fix the siezed engine issue mentioned previously. On that visit, instead of a loaner vehicle, they called an Uber to take my wife and I to a rental car office that was closed.The next time I need service on this car (and know I will) I will not be returning to incompetent Folsom Lake Hyundai.

We were ready to pay cash for our vehicle but we were told we would get a better price if we financed it and were assured there would be no prepayment penalty to pay it off. That turned out to be untrue. John may have not been aware of the prepayment penalty but Fernando, the finance person, was and misled us. He said there was no prepayment penalty but they would like us to make payments for 3 months. When we called Fernando the next day to complain to him when we noticed the prepayment penalty on the paperwork, he said if we made payments for 5 months, they probably wouldnt charge a prepayment penalty!! We are very unhappy about this.

I drove out my way to come to this Dealership after bad experiences with one that was closer to my home. To me, it is worth driving a little further to get to a service department I can trust to do a good job, with wonderful helpful people.

Comment: We could not have asked for a better sales team. From the time of arriving until our purchase was completed, the sales and finance team were wonderful! Happy we were able to find a vehicle and will definitely send anyone interested in a new vehicle to the Folsom dealership.The only suggestion I would make is to please add Genesis vehicles to the lot for people wanting to view those vehicles as well. We were disappointed we could not test drive kr see a Genesis product without having to go to Roseville.Although, I am enjoying my Sonata Hybrid Limited a lot and do not regret my choice!

Comment: Least enjoyable buying experience in a very long time. Asked for details ahead of time to avoid wasting entire day and I was ignored. I arrived and had concerns about the details within the numbers, still ignored. Overall didnt listen to my questions, they would just rotate through sales people and not really listen at all to what I had to say. Most horrible buying experience I can recall in over a decade. There routine is to ignore you, have you wait more time with each conversation and then bring a new sales person over that has no idea what you talked about previously to waste more time. Plan on spending an entire day repeating yourself 100 times.

Comment: I waited in the waiting area. They have water, coffee, popcorn, and danish snacks and beverages for us. Brandon kept me informed of my cars progress. I was in for a 22,000 mile service.I asked the two ladies who collected payments if they would make more popcorn since it was empty. She said they were all out of popcorn. Then 2 hours later a worker came in and made popcorn. There were 3 big boxes in the cabinet! It was time to pay and I told the lady I didn’t appreciate her lying. She said she didn’t lie; that she didn’t know. I said then why didn’t you check instead of just saying you were out.It would be nice to have someone in charge of making sure snacks are available. The snacks are appreciated and an added extra to their service.

Everyone was professional and the waiting area was comfortable with nice amenities (TV, camera of service area, cookies, water and a cool coffee machine) My only problem was how long it took. I asked when I got there how long it would be because I would be waiting for my car at the dealership and no longer had a ride and also had things I had to do afterwards and figured it would be quicker that way. I was told no longer than 2 hours. Saw that my car was done and they pulled it out of the garage after 2.5 hours and only after I went back to the desk to ask if my car was ready I finally got checked out after another 30 minutes. Was told the computer system was down so they could not print out my courtesy inspection and they would email it to me. Never received that. Would have been nice to have better or more communication, especially when you are running late. Better to overestimate and be early than underestimate and be late. Be more respectful of peoples time!

Comment: This was the worst service experience I have ever had. Tried for months to get car looked at before the 80 day wait for an appointment. When I did set up a time to come in earlier was told Hyundai would need car for two days so they could slide it in.I made arrangements for my Fiancé to get to work. When I called back to confirm I was told they wound need the car for five days. So I tried to set that up but just ended up waiting for original appt date.Dropped car off at 12pm for 2pm appointment on 11/17. Was told we would hear back by the evening or latest 10am next day.I remembered to call at 4:30 on Friday when I was told we would hear back by Saturday morning.Ten minutes later was told no techs available may be able to look at it early next week.The only person that communicated any information with me was Naomi. She is the only bright spot with this experience.She let me know that if the car was covered under Warranty that Hyundai would reimburse us for the Rental (that I had to scramble for the week of Thanksgiving because of the horrible communication).Naomi set up a loaner for us so we could return the Rental.I had to ask Naomi if this was covered under warranty or if we would be charged when she called so say the car was ready and to drop off the Loaner.I m happy that it was all resolved in the end but the communication from Hyundai was terrible.

Comment: After dealing with some shady dealer ships that would not close a deal I came across a car that Folsom Lake Hyundai had for sale. I inquired about the car via the website and was quickly called by Oz. He informed me the vehicle was still available and to come on to take a look at it. After such a bad experience the day before I was hesitant to make the 1 hr drive in fear of the same experience. That was far from the case. When we arrived we were quickly greeted by a true sales man Nell. And when I say true sales man I dont mean those pushy ones, I mean the ones that make you feel like they are buying the car with you. Nell quickly had the car pulled around and keys in hand so I can take a look at it. After a quick test drive we were off to sign papers. It was the most hassle free car buying experience I have had at a dealer ship and one of the best group of guys to deal with. I felt like I was at home. All in All if you need a car and they have it the experience is worth the price even if its more. Big thanks to Nell for the hospitality and doing exactly what was promised on that sale. I will see you soon for that tank of gas dont forget now lol

Chase took care of me and my needs, was able to remember discussions we had from the last time I was there and he was very personable. Got my car in and out in the time they promised and arranged transportation since it was too long for me to wait around for it. Comment: Where to begin! This experience was awful. I only went to Folsom due to them having sooner availability. Big mistake! So they are in the process of construction! So my tire ended up with a hole (as well as my dads car.) they took no ownership or accountability. What’s even worse is they didn’t tell me about it! So I left the lot with 7 psi. Which ruined my tire. And you know what they said to me? “Well we did put it on your paperwork” super uncool.The customer service was just abhorrent. They didn’t offer to help me until I said I would just be complaining at this point. Just don’t go here.Edit: I would like to add they did end up offering to pay for the new tire I had to pay for. But it took 3 calls.

Comment: I just recently bought a car from the Folsom Lake Hyundai dealership and it was a truly wonderful experience. This was my first time buying a car on my own and I was weary of being taken advantage of or not understanding the process. My sales person, Nell, made me extremely comfortable and excited for this experience. Nell made sure I understood what was going on and was very personable. He made a connection with me and seemed to care about me as a person not just a customer, which made the experience that much better. Oz as well as Mr. Jam in the finance department also made sure to make me feel very comfortable and made sure I got all the knowledge/information I needed. Everyone was overall very patient with me and made the experience very personal and calming. I have heard many horror stories of car dealerships or first time car buyers and I was so pleased and appreciative that this was my experience even while they are going through renovations! Thank you to everyone at this dealership! Oh... and the car, I absolutely love it and they made sure it was cleaned thoroughly and put a full tank of gas in it. I had a lot of things going wrong with the car and it felt like it would never work the same again. That is until Mark came up with a master plan, that also matched every one of my stipulations, priced me out, and then verified every new service with price that came up before performing the actual services. Comment: Bought a brand new 2023 Honda Sonata Hybrid Limited this weekend and had a great experience. From the sales rep, Nicolas, to the sales manager, Andrew, to Ivan making the paperwork painless, and even the general manager Drew, which was the first person I dealt with, and who got the ball rolling and made me feel confident in what we were doing. He even follow back up with a phone call the next day. It was a painless experience! Everyone we dealt with was beyond nice and considerate without ever making us feel like we were pressured to do anything we weren’t comfortable doing. Comment: It was terrible. I bought a car that was under a factory warranty with 31,000 miles on it. It immediately broke down - stopped accelerating and the check engine light came on, I couldnt even make it home, its only 6 miles straight on the Folsom blvd. I returned it back half an hour after signing the contract. The sellers promised me that the next day a taxi would pick me up from my house and they would provide me with a loaner car. but it was nothing. I went to the service and they told me that I have to pay for the repair. They refused to return or exchange the car for another. They put it in for repairs, which will take at least two weeks, maybe more. Top seller Philip refused to give any documents stating that the repair would be at the expense of the dealer, they refused to give a guarantee that my car would work. As a result, I was left with a loan and without a car !!!!! This is my worst experience with a dealer. Also, when signing the contract, the employees wanted to sell me a warranty for $3,500. This warranty comes free from the manufacturer and is for 10 years or 100k miles. You have to be very careful when signing documents with them. They made a lot of typos in my personal data, didn’t let me read the contract in full, put a percentage higher than I was approved by the bank. And added more paperwork to contract

I drove up, nervous after the feeling I got at Elk Grove (i know it’s the same company…the sales rep and manager gave me a bad feeling after I test drove a car. They seemed inconvenienced by my presence.) Anyway…went to Folsom Lake and Adrian walks up to me and introduces himself. Him and I chat for a bit and I show him the car I saw online. He pulls it around and already has the A/C going. Making the car comfortable. We go for a quick drive and I love the car. As we are driving, he talks to me…like a human being. We chat and talk. Car deals usually take a while but he was patient, got me water and by the end of the afternoon, I was driving with a Hyundai Tucson. The dude is world class. He even gave me a gift card for a dinner/movie for the wife and myself and was incredibly kind. AJ, the finance guy, was patient and very paternal when going over all the options. Adrian and AJ were world class! Will buy from them again. Low stress, low pressure and kind.

Comment: Excellent experience!!! My car its making a horrible knockings noise at 2000 rpms. Mechanic friend told me the warranty was still on the motor and that Hyundai would fix it for free. He was totally right.! Folsom Lake Hyundai treated me with absolute kindness and respect and handle my business promptly and professionally. Totally happy with the service I received. Initially the service time was 3 to 4 weeks but actually ended up being only one week. Very grateful for these people getting me back on the road and back to work. Elena was my point of contact and showed me an exemplary amount of excellent customer service. She Kept in touch with me always making sure I knew exactly what was happening.
