Great Experience. Awesome history 💗
I came here for a reclass. Awesome place, awesome people. Room kept clean and enjoyed my time here. Felt like I had a 5 star hotel feeling here, fresh towels around noon and chow to go just as good. Chow hall looks to only fit about 120 people but overall was great for me.
It was great just did ALC there the classroom the chow hall and lodging are in the same facility so rain is not a factor... if you dont have a rental get ready to enjoy the solidarity of the Barracks instructors were fantastic.
Place to lay my head. Gets the job done. Key cards have stopped working when near my wallet that has a magnet in it.
The rooms were not as clean as I would have liked. Housekeeping does not clean during your stay they just replenish. Laundry facilities are free and new washers were in the boxes. I think housekeeping could at least wipe down washers and dryers or at least leave proper tools for guests to donso.
Its not bad for the price and the fact they are army BOQs. I would advise you upgrade to one of the suites if they are available. For a few dollars more you can get a queen bed instead of a twin and your own bathroom not a shared one.
Great staff. Condition of the building has definitely declined since I was here in 2014. Still decent.
Great place to conduct training
Good place for the price, nice scenery rooms are small unless you get a suite but still very clean. Downside is the WiFi does not reach upstairs or is very spotty in some locations.
Staff are friendly and rooms are clean. No issues.
The FCEC has a daily cleaning service but the employees are of a questionable nature. The hallways are all carpeted with frat house style stains the MIARNG has way too many at risk youth programs running in and out of the building. Food is served in the lower level. The meals are hit and miss but they have a solid selection at the salad bar everyday. Water is always hot or cold when needed. Laundry facilities available on level 2 and 3. Handicap accessible.

Friendly knowledgeable people that were there. Military personal was awesome and knowledge. The base was excellent and easy to navigate. I would definitely recommend to other people and Friends.
Is very accommodating for a military training center. Chow is sufficient and the base bar was good, when it was open my last visit.
Washers & dryers are on the same floor, Dining room is right downstairs. Rooms are fairly clean. A/C is on again off again
I stay here on drill weekends each month. Its a great value for those of us who have a long drive and cant go home during drill.
These guys are GREAT!!!!! I have a young man going through Job Challenge there and they have taught him so much. MYCA & MJCA are two of the best programs Ive ever delt with hands down.
Nice single room, very nice facility, was not what I expected from the National Guard. Highly recommend for training site!
Had to take my daughter there, no one could tell us where to go, it took us 45 minutes of driving around and talking to almost 20 people to get help. There really should be more informed people!
Its fairly new and cheap only problem is the Wi-Fi does not pickup up stairs and I have a 13 in tv in my room

Awesome place, I did my a.t. there in 2012. Snowy climate in the winter months but I was very, very cozy.

Pretty centralized to some bigger michigan cities, about 30 min to an hour to: Kalamazoo, Lansing, and Grand Rapids.
I loved my National Guard training there. It was a fun experience

The barracks need some major renovations, especially now that the males and females share bays.
Be nice if the rooms had a fan or central air/heating.
If its anything thats Army related its obviously got to be a grade A place to see

2022-05-31Pretty good food, especially for a government institution. I feel like the sergeants want me to succeed in basic training and that they do this job because they want to. They also require us to tell them what went right, what went wrong, and how they can improve so that next drill is better. And I like what theyve recently done with having guest speakers.

2021-06-09Beds are absolutely awful. They are hard, super springy, and older than I am. I am in large group for training here and every single person complains of the bed. I actually went and purchased a mattress topper to be able to survive this training. Beds are the number one most important factor in lodging I believe. A/C is not working in my floors wing either. Furniture is basic and outdated, but to be expected for a barracks style design, which this is. I was forced to stay here. Random hole in my wall too is unpleasant to look at constantly.

2020-07-12Older army style billets. Although well maintained, clean, and helpful staff. Recommend for passing through either Battle Creek or Fort Custer and need a quick place to stay.

2021-06-24Welcome to the Army. Definitely a step up from your old fashioned barracks. The bed is a tad bigger than a cot that allows your feet to not hang off the end. The temperature is never constant but the humidity seems to always be high. It did come equipped with a television (even though it may be smaller than any laptop you can buy today). Couldnt find the pool and the valet didnt seem trustworthy. Other than that, thank you for your service.

2021-04-13Staff is exceptionally polite. Know how to direct you where to go. Halls are clean and tidy. Building is well maintained. Multiple exits available for emergency with a lovely center court yard.

2019-12-24Staff is great. The food staff was excellent, and went out of their way to accommodate my food allergy. The rooms are inexpensive, but the beds arent very comfortable. We bought a mattress topper and our stay was comfortable after that. We had a suite for $35/ night.
