Attended the dog show. Could have cleaned up the winter trash outside. Lots of paper...plastic and old garbage. Had pockets full from walking my puppy. Parking is good. Inside was clean.
Big, easy access parking and unloading. Fairly clean. Overpriced concessions, plain concrete floor in fair condition, lighting is ok though unevenly spaced (no lights near north wall of north section.) Bathrooms ok. Not a fancy place, but not bad either.
They do an amazing job at setting up events. Every event that I have gone to, including my graduation, was put together very well. They will also set up spaces for a bunch of seller for you to come and shop from.
Great place to visit. There is something good going on here quite often. Huge facility. Appeared clean and well maintained. The staff I have met were always friendly and efficient. Easy to find. Lots of parking.
This is a great venue. The space is huge with two sides. Plenty of bathrooms and space for anything. The gun and knife show is often there and it doesnt feel overwhelming or overcrowded.
Avoid the concession stand! staff at the center was not very friendly and did not seem to have a good idea of what was going on. The parking lot had not been plowed so trying to find a safe spot was a bit tricky. The entrance sidewalks at also not been cleared of ice and were very slippery. The interior of the event center could use some renovation. Wi-Fi service was horrendous.
I took a young man that I mentor to the annual Birch Run Fishing and Hunting Expo. We bought a few things while checking out all of the exhibits and had a very good time, seeing the boats, fishing equipment as well as fishing and hunting guide services.The Frankenmuth Credit Union Events Center location is the site of numerous events each year and they do a nice job with whatever event it might be.The location is excellent and easy to access just off I-75 at the Birch Run-Frankenmuth exit.There is a wide array of restaurants and other stores nearby, including the Birch Run Outlets Center.The historic city of Frankenmuth is just 15 minutes away, so this is part a perfect storm of entertainment and eating opportunities!
First, just as so many others I didnt like the idea of driving from Swartz Creek to Frankenmuth for graduation. Whoever decided that this place will be better than the Dont arena, was a bad idea. The chars were small, especially when some of us had to sit in between larger people. The chair itself was extremely uncomfortable and small. Also we couldnt see the graduates because all those other parents in front of us. We couldnt take pictures as we planned, we missed all of those important things as they walked around to get their Diplomas we just couldnt see them well. To many of us these were very important that we cant get it back. On top of that how far this place was and all the others stuff I mentioned, getting out of the parking lot was a real pain. It took us and hour to get out of there. The Dort arena is much better and holds the same amount of people just as the Frankenmuth C.U. did and parking was easier and we had no problems when we were coming out. I would not recommend F. C. U for another graduation. For us and for so many, it was a real pain in so many ways it was almost upsetting. Having a very important event like this graduation that should be a nice memory down the road, we missed most of it due to lack of visibility. I think a few large screen TVs would be helpful so people in the very back would also see the ceremony. Thats my opinion, but I would never recommend F.C.U. not for graduation.
The craft fair was really nice! Plenty of venders there. We got some awesome peanut brittle there and if you love handcrafted stuff this is the place to go to.
Great venue and staff. Jean Ellen was excellent to work work along with Kalie. The set up team was very helpful and accommodating as well, highly recommend this venue for anyone’s event.
Nice venue. Circus was horrible. Only 2 clowns. Only animals were 2 dogs and 5 horses in show. 3 ponies and one camel youncould ride for a fee. All toys were $15.
Looks like they are fixing up the place a bit which it needs. Its not a brand new building and it shows its age a bit. The areas they have fixed up look amazing. I imagine the rest will be the same with time. Mens bathroom is small and had to wait in a long line to use it.
Loved Shipshawana ❣ my first time. Spacious, well arranged vendor booths. Had a great time with a good friend choosing gifts for family, friends, and even myself.
Waste of time...small size show be and very limited boat styles. What a disappointing waste of $5 entrance fee. Only giving one star because this review wont post w/o it.
Weve been here for different events and its always nice, clean and well taken care of. Good parking, even with the snow.
Very disappointed. The facilities are in serious need of repair AND cleaning. The floor in the food area was very dirty. I felt sorry for the wedding guests upstairs. For the price they charge, I would expect so much more.

I was interested in using these facilities for a wedding reception as their prices listed online were very reasonable, and quite nice looking. I tried to reach their office on this matter 4 times within 5 weeks, every time I called I got a voicemail and yes, I called at different times of the day, I left my info and they never got back to me.If they cant even return a phone call, how can I expect them to work with me on such an important event such as a wedding?I would not recommend using Birch Run Expo Center for Special Events, apparently they will not even dignify your messages with a response.
I came here for Shipshewana on the road and this is an event that I always enjoy! Multiple vendors selling everything from jewelry to food to sausage to popcorn if you like flea markets youll really like this event.
The Jussasic Adventure was a joke. Pay all.that money. To almost nothing there. Bounce houses. Ugh. Then pay $10 for face paint, $10 to ride dinosaur. Not much of nothing there. Jussasic Quest was 100% better!!! Worth the visit for that one.

Was recently there for a wedding Expo, didnt realize how big it actually was in the inside. Every room seemed to be detailed separately. It was very nice.
My daughters graduation ceremony was held here and it was set up very nice. I have been to several ither events here and have never had a bad experience.
Lots of space for events to spread out. Parking had been reduced worth the new car dealership. Makes finding a spot during a popular difficult.
Venue seemed clean and organized. We were there for the camper show. The disappointing part was most of the show was General RV. I can see them locally anytime.
Great facility! Getting a ticket to get into the venue was simple and I had a great time. May wait to eat until I get there next time to try the cafe.
Went to the food truck festival there. They had them all pull inside because of bad weather. This was very nice. It was not crowded at all.

Seating is adiquete space and viewing of gymnest was excellent court room and concessions was very good bath rooms could be updated
Standing outside in the rain and snow waiting to get in was not appreciated.People bringing their motorcycles up there for sale on trailers taking up five or six parking spaces should get a ticket.

Went for an event for retailers, was nice, food was great, only I wish sidewalks were cleared a little better. Almost slipped on the ice.
I have been to a lot of other RV shows this one was very cramped. It was very congested because the aisles were so narrow. It was also too much money for how small it was.
This place was called the Expo Center. Guess they have changed the name. Went here to attend a cousins wedding. Beautiful inside...
Gun an knife show was good but parking is a joke. No parking lanes. So people park were ever and can block you so you cant leave.
This was one of the best craft shows Ive been to. The variety of vendors was great and We cant wait for the Spring one.

THE ACOUSTICS ARE NOT GOOD IF YOU ARE HARD OF HEARING. THE PARKING LOT CANNOT HANDLE CONGESTION,ONLY ONE EXIT,AND TRAFFIC LIGHT AT THAT.TOOK AN HOUR TO GET OUT OF THE PLACE.THIS WAS A GRADUATION.
There for a boat show, not much interaction with building employees. Place was clean and seamed in good shape.
Building is great.. concessions needs improvement.. usually out of popular items, had Turkey wrap..( hated the wrap on it..tasted like soggy doritoes)
We visited for the abc12 family Expo and were blown away by how awesome the abc12 crew treated all of its guests the facility is a nice facility and I would return to visit again
Went there for the gun show whats a good gun show I just dont like paying entry fees to go in and spend money its not a concert theyre not in their performing and they want you to buy their product and I shouldnt have to pay to enter or Park either or an event such as that should be free
This place did a fantastic job for my sisters wedding in the upstairs banquette. I have been recommending them.

Dont use the ATM here especially if this is not your bank. It did not give me my cash and still deducted it from my account then I had to go through the hassle of straightening it out, but it got fixed.
Good place for as event like the Ren Fest, if you like that sort of thing. (Which I dont) but my niece does & I took her.

The events are always well organized, the building/bathrooms clean & the staff are pleasant.
At the time, there was an RV and camper show. The place was cramped, maybe too many RVs on the floor at the time. I really didnt get to see what I wanted to see.
They do ok, could be better, obviously an old hockey arena, but shows do well here.
Events here used to be reliably run, efficient, and fun. Unfortunately I, that has not been true for the last three years or so.
Nice and big for whatever expos they have. Used to have a good cat show every year there.
Shipshewana on the road event had lots of vendors. The place was very busy and prices were reasonable.
Used to have semi pro basketball and ice hockey teams play here. Now used as a venue for gun and knife shows and merchandise expos.
They made it look better and im glad the are trying to keep it filled I hope the could bring back dirt fest

Short on handicap parking. We go for Shipshewana on the road and by the time we park and walk to the entrance, weve had enough.

2018-09-09We just got done working a wedding tonight. Upon arrival the loft was a huge wow factor! Having been in the loft prior to the remodeling I was amazed. The venue looked like a $5000-8,000 venue but the coordinator indicated how reasonably priced they are. Staff were very friendly and professional. Would recommend this venue to anyone looking to have a reception in the Birch Run area.

2018-12-12This event center is an open arena with some bleacher style seating. There is a large open floor space for concerts, sporting events and other activities. There is a concessions area, plenty of restrooms and a nicely decorated front entrance. There is plenty of parking including handicapped spaces and a front drop-off area.

2021-01-05They treated their employees very terribly. Now they sold it. Without saying a word to their loyal employees!! Its a sad that out of respect they did not bother to even call! Instead they emptied your desk of your belongings threw it on the floor like garbage!! Nice!!! I hope you enjoy your millions!!

2018-04-22We were there for the garage sale event (marketed as 150 garage sales under one roof). The event center itself looked pretty nice with a large space for the vendors. there was a little cafe where you can get snacks that looked good, too. The only thing I didnt get a chance to see was the bathrooms, so I cant speak for their cleanliness. All in all I would visit again if this event center was hosting an event I was interested in.

2018-09-25Nice small venue for events. I am recovering from an injury to my leg, walking with a cane, and I almost tripped over a mound of electrical wires taped to the floor. I then noticed this throughout the hall so I spent more time watching where I was stepping instead of enjoying the show. Youd think show venues would have designed the hall for its intended use and made accommodations for electrical outlets that arent a danger to the mobility challenged.

2019-02-19Very small venue. Did not like the zip tied the legs of the chairs, and the chairs where literal restaurant style chairs. Concessions were well priced, but felt like you where sitting on your neighbor. The concert was great however.

2019-03-07Extremely warm inside my hair was soaked and dripping all over my face. I was absolutely miserable. On top of that there was limited seating. People were sitting on floors, stairways. Never been here before, I doubt I will ever go back.

2018-12-09The loft was Beautiful for my daughters wedding however the facility has poor customer service event planner was rude and condisending to Mother of the bride and Bride they ran potential clients through our event before and during our wedding reception they don’t make sure beverages for guest are attended or inform you to have someone monitor beverages nor are you allowed to bring any beverages in in case of running out ! I spoke with the event manager and General manager after all of the complications our event had and was reassured I would be contacted a week after I informed them of all the complications and have yet to hear back that was almost a month ago! The staff was overheard complaining about my family in front of our guest! Would not recommend this for a Wedding or any major event! Multiple guest we had attend has informed me of the dissatisfaction with the event service and asked if we were refunded anything unfortunately we have yet to be contacted also guest were turned away by security because the wedding had started even though the bride was not walking down the isle they were told they couldn’t enter the event! They don’t properly staff for events the bartenders were pushed back and we were not notified year the bartenders tending the event told me they were there and could have serviced our guest even when I offered to extend the beverage hours I was told no. Very disappointed and dissatisfied and I’m in the customer service business and worked event planning for years to have experienced this is disheartening!
