Great steakburgers made fresh, to the customers specifications and with fresh toppings! I always order it deluxe-style with mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, & pickles...juicy! Frozen custard is delish (Turtle Sundae is my fave)! Shoestring fries are always served hot & fresh, and placed in the basket just before serving. Store Manager, Rosie, is delightful, friendly, accommodating, puts customers first, high energy, and always smiling! She provides fast & accurate service! Restaurant & restroom are always clean. There are dozens of restaurants within a two-mile radius of this one, but THIS is my go-to resto. among all of them! I drive 8 miles out of my way to eat here!
Found hair on the chicken tenders and forgot the barbecue sauce. Hot dog didnt seem fully cooked, and the bun was totally destroyed with the hotdog laying on TOP of the bun. Impressive how many things were wrong coming from a 2-item order.
One of our favorite places when we lived in Utah, so we were so happy to find this one!! Delicious burgers, chicken and fries! We love the soft serve ice cream too!
Absolutely love Freddy’s to begin with and now love it even more. I left my wallet at work and didn’t realize it and a wonderful employee named Rosie came in clutch to help me out.
Was super unimpressed with this facility not only were all the tables disgusting but the bathrooms were gross and none of the lids and condiments were filled. Its hasnt been there that long.A good deep clean would help, the food was not horrible.
We keep giving this establishment chances. Time and time again, not anymore. We literally only order ice cream and its NEVER right. All we need is strawberry and banana. One chocolate, one vanilla. RUDE staff, short and dont care about customer service. We thought we would give them one more chance the other night. We were given straight vanilla ice cream. Nothing inside. I went in and the boys gave me a pre-made ice cream that was half full. I was so mad and so disappointed I just walked out and immediately threw it in the trash. Not even worth the hassle anymore. The boys even held the ice cream, whispered to eachother looked at me, walked over and gave me the ice cream with a careless sorry. By the way we waited in the lane for 10mins. Everyone in the area asking where to eat will be told about the horrendous customer service and incapable staff making the food.
The store was absolutely disgusting on the inside. They used the toilet snake to unclog fountain soda machine. Employees lazy and very rude. Floor so greasy people were sliding on it. Weekend crew is terrible DO NOT EAT HERE!
The place was dirty. The staff didnt change there gloves like the should. ( One of them put hands in pockets and never changed his gloves.) One of the staff was vaping in the cooking area. The staff there dirty jacked on while working because it was so cold in the restaurant. Staff members that was not on the clock was in the cook area talking to the staff that was working.
When we walked in the door, the floors were so greasy you could slide across them. I stepped up to the counter and asked the girl what was different about the California style burger. She snapped, The toppings, maam! She never told me what those toppings were so I just ordered a regular burger.Some friends came in behind us and the same counter girl refused to acknowledge the wife and would only speak to the husband.Her attitude is all wrong for customer service.And I took a picture of the nasty cobwebs in the booth.Not much better than Steak n Shake. 😔
Got the California burger combo with cheese curds and a root beer float. Always a great burger and curds. You pay a little more for better product.
Small salty Pattys and the onion rings were grease logged. It was an OK meal but foe the price paid its not what we expected.
Went and ordered our food but they changed the prices without changing their menu. Lucky I didnt turn them in you can get in alot of trouble for this.
Food was great the first time we came. Second time we went, they gave me a pink raw chicken sandwich. They gave me a free meal coupon but not sure I will be back a 3rd time to redeem it.

I absolutely love their burgers. They are smash burger like (thin and crispy). Plus their fry sauce and cheese curds are amazing. Yes this is a fastfood joint but I would go here over McDonalds or BK no questions asked. Also the place always seem clean.

The young gentleman had music blasting could barely hear him. Apparently now you have to ask for fry sauce.. he didn’t ask me lol. Fries were not fresh and they forgot mustard on my burger. I’ll choose another location from now on.

If you want old fashioned onion rings (like the brand seems to represent), dont go here. They have the same frozen, prepackaged ones you can get at the grocery store. My Patty Melt was pretty blah too 😥 The pop machine ice was the best part of my lunch.
First time to try them out. Nice and clean restaurant. But I find the double steak burger with bacon I ordered a bit salty and beef taste wasnt there. Fries were a bit crunchy good as it is string fries.
Ordered a single with Cheese catsup and mustard. No pickles or onions.Thats what it said on the receipt too.What I got was cold fries and a cheese and onion burger with no catsup or mustardWhen youre 2 miles down the road in traffic turning back and waiting in line to fix it isnt an option. Add that like Culvers you can expect to wait a couple minutes for your food.. They shouldnt have an issue getting it right.Truly not impressed
I stopped in to give this place a try for the first time. I really didnt like the double cheeseburger, the meat was very thin, dry, over cooked, and had little flavor. The sandwich had only 1 small slice of onion and the pickle was really huge and thick which ended up over powering the burger. The french fries had a Styrofoam like texture and were overly salty. The drink had a lot of ice in it. Overall, for the price I paid the food quality I got did not seem up to par. I would recommend Steak n Shake or Culvers anytime over Freddys.
Absolutely disgusting. Why are your fried items soggy? Why did I get burned cheese curds that were hard on the inside and lukewarm, but burned and soggy on the outside? Literally put one in a napkin and squeezed and SO much oil. Didnt even dare feed them to my dogs.
Their fry sauce doesn’t make up for their sad burgers. I’ve eaten crepes thicker than their patties. Taste is on par with Steak and Shake, which isn’t saying much. At least Steak and Shake gives you an actual burger. I’m surprised this new location is still standing. Horrible. Their burgers should be $.50 for what you get. There is not enough room in this review to describe how pathetic their burgers are. Don’t take my word for it. Go there yourself and spend 6 bucks on a burger and see.

The wait in dive thru was pretty long. The spicy fry sauce was really good. Not a big fan of the little French fries though. The shake machine was down so I couldnt try a malt but I got a sundae instead and it was pretty good. Even though a long wait the staff was pretty friendly.
Was billed and still did not receive my food.I tried using the app to place my order. I wouldnt let me order anything without being 300ft from the building. Like I want to drive all the way there to place an order online in there parking lot. Then you have to go into the building with location services, bluetooth and WiFi turned on your phone while standing inside to even start your order. Problem is there system will not recognize your there. The app provides you with an order number so the location can pull it up manually, only no one there including the District Manager doesnt know how to use there own order system. By the way, you cant recieve your online order in the drive through, because they apparently cant give you pre-paid for food through the window.This is the worst ran business Ive been to. I will no longer be buying food from there and will share my horrible experience with everyone.
Food is good but I gotta assume this place is literally one step away from a lawsuit. The floors are slippery as hell. So much so that I simply Googled it and it turns out this is normal for a Freddys. I thought the lady in front of me had a walker because she was old. Turns out its for safety at Freddys.
Fantastic food. Big portions, more then fair pricing. They dont start cooking until you order it...what a great idea!? The steak fries are amazing so is there special sauce. Good food

Awesome. The cheese curds were better than Culvers! And I finally found a place that puts a generous amount of pickles on their sandwiches. Loved it and would definitely come back again.

I had the original double burger and it was really good. I normally dont like small fries but they were also good and even better with fry sauce. They also had great friendly service. I wish I had one around where I live.
Would give it a 4 or 5 star, but the floors were so slick from the grease. You really had to watch walking through the place. Felt like you were walking on ice. Really need to clean the place and the floors!! Great food, just needs a good cleaning. And amazing they were pretty much closed down, they could have cleaned that place from top to bottom during the covid pandemic.
Big fan of Freddy’s. Their chocolate shakes are divine. Food is delicious. And the staff are friendly. Not a known name in the game here in West Michigan, yet, but highly recommend everyone give them a try. You’ll be hooked. Thanks again for the good food and great service!

The burgers and fries are great. The ice cream is definitely of lower quality than Culvers.
We (teenage boys and I) really like their fries with the special sauce (not the spicy version, though). The custard is good (as good as Culvers) but they are not as generous with the toppings as Culvers. Not to keen on the burgers. They are like Steak and Shake (thin fried beef patties) but seem saltier (than S & S) and not as flavorful. The overall atmosphere was clean. Although the bathrooms were clean, both toilets were broken. However, when I told the cashier she apologized and said she would fix it as soon as we were done placing our order. The staff there seemed young but MUCH more professional than Steak and Shake with faster delivery of our food and friendly, respectful, courteous service! Really friendly, seemingly happy staff :-)
Quick service, was alright.Buns do get cooked on the inner portion if that bothers anyone.Was rather busy, and most indoor tables didnt seem to have been tended to recently, May have just been that i was there during a lull in the day, after a 5/6pm rush.

I cant believe this place is even still open and gets alot of service. This place the food is nothing but salt salt salt everything is so overly salted. Floors are slick. But there ice cream and concretes are about the only good thing.

The food was good. It was different having to add ketchup to my burger as it is not served on the burgers. The fries were plentiful and the mint oreo concrete was great. I will go back for sure.

Love the chicken strips and onion rings. The Fry Sauce is good for dipping chicken. Excellent iced tea. I also have had the party melt which is delicious. I dont mind the wait because food is all freshly prepared.
Went there for the first time on a Saturday around noon. The place was quite clean, the food was delicious! I am not big on eating burgers out, but I was very impressed, the young lady behind the counter was not terrifically polite, but the manager was great. I think the kid at the counter was so young I think she just didnt know better. The burgers were juicy and delicious, the onions rings and my wifes fries were also fresh, hot, and tasty. The jalapeno fry sauce was great. The place was not too crowded, and they even had some great music to listen too while we ate. I really enjoyed the experience, and we will be back.
The good was hot and delicious but they forgot our 2 year olds chocolate milk, when we asked we were redirected to go speak with the cashier and she pouted and stomped off to get it.
Wasnt anything really exciting, it was ok food and ok service.
Had a mobile order. Waited 10 minutes at the counter(while a family of 4 and two other mobile orders) got their food before me. Girl across the counter hands me 3 shakes and says there you go your all set. Im like where is my food. She sent me to the other counter where the guy just stares at me because he has no idea where my order went. I stand there for another 10 minutes when a customer walks into the front counter and passes off a crumpled bag as I hear him complain that it wasnt his food. I watched the Freddys employee walk around the wall into the kitchen(6 feet right in front of me) and pass the bag off to another employee who simply takes the food out of that bag and puts it in a new bag. Then turns around and says there you go. They refused to remake my food. I left the restaurant furious that I just spent $34 on food someone else brought back Now! Now even before covid I have NEVER seen an employee at a restaurant just hand over food that another customer brought back! Stuff like this makes me not want to come back.
This location needs some help it was good but if anyone needs a job they are hiring! Just like every other place! But the people are nice & the food was good!

Food was burnt, took a while, and they waited until we finally got to the front of the drive thru to tell us the card reader was down and we had to come inside. Then it took a long time to get our food from there. Normally I would rather go to a smaller shop and support them instead of McDonalds but I was not impressed this time.
The burger was just okay. Nothing really great about it. The fries are really skinny, but you get lots. The tea I didnt like at all. The turtle sundae was really good. Inside the restaurant looked decent enough. The lady that took our orders you could tell was still in training, which is fine. Overall just an okay experience.

Food is unique to Freddys.. It is good! Shakes are good. BUT.. The price? It is certainly overpriced for the food/value.you will spend $25-30 for 2 people for lunch.

I have thought about what to say, as it was only second time Id been there. But they seem to be really generous with their stuff. Ice cream was think not runny, and food didnt seem dry. Always clean even in bathrooms. The staff came out to make sure I was satisfied. And answered confidently about the business. Nice job.
Food was pretty decent and the atmosphere is what youd expect from a burger place. Its a bit pricier than I would have liked, but the ingredients do seem fresher than their competitors. Also not sure if its just this store, but the floors were like glue they were so sticky, which is probably from the mopping solution, everything else was clean and they had people sweeping up frequently.
They were really good about my nut allergy and cleaning the equipment before they prepared my food. The food seemed a little over priced for what it was. Paid over $5 for a chicken sandwich just over the quality of a McDonalds chicken sandwich. Flavor was great but probably wouldnt pay the price for decent food.
I really like the food at Freddies. Burgers are good. Not a fan of the tiny fries, but the fry sauce makes up for it. Staff is friendly. They made my fish sandwich a lettuce wrap side I cant eat a bun. Fish want anything special but everything else Ive had is amazing.

Food tastes good, but pretty pricey for what it is. The burgers are similar to steak and shakes and the custard like Culvers. If your budget conscious, you can feed a family of four for about half the price at Steak and Shake if you use the 4 dollar menu.

I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich. My chicken was dry and over cooked. I ended up splitting a family members sandwich. They ordered a patty melt. I thought that was ok. A little dry, but not horrible. Edible. Service was great, place was clean! Just not a place for me to eat.
My son and I didnt like the burgers they were way over cooked to the point of being crispy and dry, when I opened my burger up it had a HUGE glob of mustard on it and no ketchup, when I was waiting to give my order I noticed that the ice cream machine was spewing ice cream out non stop no matter what the MGR did she couldnt get it to stop so instead of turning it off she continued to sell the product, turning to the dinning area tables were dirty floor was dirty and the trash can was full plus you could see employees sleeping in the booth next to the door, this was the first and last time we will go there.
I ordered a chicken tenders meal with fries and a drink, an extra order of onion rings, and honey mustard. Got home and only had chicken tenders, onion rings, and the drink. I guess its my fault for not double checking the bag though right? Never going back. 12 bucks for that? Nope.

Everyone is friendly and your food is always fresh and hot. When they were open so you could sit inside it was always clean . Restrooms were clean but there was a couple of times I had to tell a worker that they needed supplies..

The food is the best! I love how the flattened the burgers on the grill for an awesome Maillard reaction. The shakes are made the ol fashioned way and are thick and delicious. The fry sauces rock and the rings roll down the gullet nicely. My favorite burger joint ever ever.
Love their burgers and fries. They have a jalepeno fry sauce that is amazing. They always drop your fries right when you order so they come out hot and delicious. Their frozen Custard is really good too. Staff has always been friendly and its a great place for families.
Amazing food and great service. Their food is always hot and always looks good. They recently added fish/fish sandwhich to their menu it was soo good. Their chili cheese fries are the absolute best and the fry sauce is amazing. The custard was great too. Our food was brought to us when you normally go up after your number is called.
Every thing turns out great for the food. However their guest WIFI has not worked for some time and I have told them about it for months and it still does not work. I have heard from others that it has not worked since shortly after they opened.
Friendly staff. We have the Key Card book which had a free small one topping sundae with any combo. The young man took great care getting our order correct

I asked them not to put onion on my sandwich and if I could get fries without salt. I got a burger covered in onions, and super salted fries. My husband took it back and asked them to fix it, and they did, but made it known that they were annoyed. I understand that changes are annoying, but they were small changes. The burgers are also twice the size of the bun and paper thing, all you taste is the seasoning. I would not recommend this.
I was really looking forward to going here. I loved the menu. The place was filthy at 4pm. The food was okay, but nothing to make me want to come back. I like culvers much better. Thats what it reminded me of or a Steak and Shake.

Burger was burnt. Fries were underwhelming. Shake was okay. You can get the exact same meal at steak and shake for $7 cheaper. Steak and shake tastes better too.
Drive through was fast and friendly. It was my first time eating from there and the food was really good. The fries have a dipping sauce that is really good and it would be good on a burger as well.

Love this spot. My brother and I popped in here one day while we waited for a tire to be put on a rim for an old camper that was passed down from our grandpa. Surely was nice to sit down and relax, especially because it was hot when we stumbled upon this shack. Love it, my kids like it.....

Went at 745 pm on a Monday night, restaurant was empty, ordered food and went sit down and wait for order to be cooked. Many of the tables had not be cleaned yet which was surprising since the restaurant was and employees standing around talking. Now the service was good, good was really good and it came out pretty quickly.
Burger was dry and mediocre. Order was also incorrect, received non bacon double cheeseburger ordered bacon double. Wait time was like 10 minutes as well. This Freddys is very near a Steak N Shake and they do this same style burger better and cheaper.

Fast service. Food was really good . This is our second time eating at the Freddys on Alpine Ave. The chili cheese dog was really good . . . crisp bun, lots of chili and cheese. The hot dog is longer than the bun. Its my favorite.
Wow is the best way to sum up Freddys been here several times going thru the drive thru of course due to covid but not once have they messed up an order like McDonalds and Burger King seems to do on the regular and the taste is out of this world super delicious we make it a point to go every Friday and will most likely continue do so for some time
Great burgers, done quickly. Food is cooked when you order, so its hot when you get it. Service is friendly, they even remove trays and baskets when youre done.
Absolutely terrible service. Plan on waiting close to 20 min in a drive through with one other person ahead of you only to receive completely the wrong order(only ordered 3 items and received only 1 that wasn’t close to anything asked for). This has happened not just once but 3 times in the last several months. And when you go in to get your order corrected you only get an apology and you have to stand there and wait again to have your food made. They did not even offer to refund me.

Food was ok. Fries didnt have anything on them. Staff was horrible. No gloves no hair net/hat with long hair. Friends of staff came in, they hug and touch someone off the street and no washing hands after (if not using gloves wasnt enough). Was excited to go. Will never return.

I went through the drive thru last night to pick my husband up a SUNDAY. It had to be remade 4 times because they couldnt get it right. The children running the inside and drive thru would rather gossip about fellow employees then focus on the job. Its a shame I had to wait well over a half hour for a $6 Sunday. VERY DISAPPOINTING

Food was good staff was very nice. we went there around 11:00 am Saturday. The floor was so slippery like an ice skating rink and the table tops were the same way. Other than this all was good.

Loved this place! I think that was the best fast food cheeseburger Ive ever had! I just wish Freddys was closer to home! I was on a trip up north and stopped on the way. Ill make this a stop on trips up north in the future for sure!
Good for fast food. This is my go-to over most of the others. I put them on the level with Culvers.
Always good hot food, fries are amazing. They can serve up burgers in a lettuce wrap for gluten free.
Ordered two sundaes, took over 10 minutes to get them and they were mostly melted. Paid extra for more pecans on one, did not receive extra. No apology was given for the wait.
The food is good. The service is always reasonably fast and polite. I have visited this location more than 20 times and my orders are always right. 5 star in my opinion
Great shakes and friendly staff. Veggie burger was good, only thing that would’ve made it better was fresh lettuce. It just tasted a little old. Otherwise a good experience.
Good hot dogs. Liked the shoestring fries and was especially taken with the jalapeno fry dip that so many other reviewers comment about. Next time Ill try the burger.

Delicious food with amazing service and atmosphere. The burgers are a little sloppy with the burger itself being a larger diameter than the bun, but the flavor is worth the mess.

Freddys is a fine cross between Culvers and Steak and Shake, their fries were like the shoestring fries I dont care for those kind but other people do I enjoyed it burgers were fresh juicy and I will go back.

Freddys can be seen making their presence known all throughout the Grand Rapids area, opening quality establishments frequently, and this new location is no different. Two steps above your standard fast-food fare, Freddys will provide you a quality meal (at least as quality goes when it comes to a greasy burger) at comparable prices.
The food here is freshly made per order and the staffing was very kind and helpful. If you like skinny fries, this is the place for you!

I never pray to visit this restaurant again, I have DoorDash order from this restaurant but those guy refuse to make it. I waited 40mins. They even refuse picking my ᶜᵃˡˡ. Too bad.
It was ok. It was dry. Burger was over done/burnt. No mayo, no mustard or ketchup. Pop was flat. Good service, but food could be improved.
I realized that Freddys sauce has soy in it, its cheap & affordable but its a detriment to our bodies, soy is loaded with estrogen, it messes with your hormones, turning our girls into boys & our boys into girls, corn oil is just as bad. Replace it with coconut, peanut, or almond oil- and you can still profit & advertise just as Five Guys does, they use peanut oil to fry their fries in using roughly the same price points as Freddys does👏

Since discovering Freddys we have truly enjoyed the food and friendly service. Had a mix-up on the order but it was quickly and graciously taken care of.

My husband loves this place, and so does my kid. Its just way, waay too greasy for me though. All I can taste is old, burnt grease.

A combination of Culvers and Steak and Shake! It was an OK experience and the Greeter/Cashier, was a box of rocks!! Not sure I would make a very hard effort to go back!

2022-03-29I truly do love this place every time I come through food‘s hot food‘s great the people are friendly. Also it does not matter what time of day you come through all of the above seems to be true the only thing that I can say is somebody please wash your drive through window take five minutes then take a picture of it and send it to your boss and score yourself some gratitude from your boss. Other than that all employees there please keep up the good work!

2022-01-07The cheese curds were soggy and greasy for starters. Then I realized that one of the employees decided to take their nasty germ filled finger nails and scratch all over the cup they gave me my drink in (thats disgusting and completely unsanitary) they also forgot the sauce I asked for. Then my girlfriend picks up her burger and there sits a long black hair in the bottom of her container. Ruined our appetites COMPLETLY. How gross! Waste of TIME and $23.

2022-06-24Food was so yummy. You have to try the patty melt it was absolutely delicious. My hubby had the double bacon burger amd the bacon was actually whole slices and perfectly cooked... The young lady that took our order was awesome she even had her favorite recommendation 🥰🥰

2022-02-27Service was good, but food was disappointing. We used to go once a week now once a year. Just tried to give them another chance few days ago and they messed order up again. Its always simple stuff like add tomatoe. Burgers were dressed lightly and dry and for $34 to feed two adults and a child kinda hurt

2022-06-27I was the only one in the drive through. Took 25 minutes for 1 burger and 1 order of fries. Young lady (very sassy) says were not fast are very rudely good bye. Not good. At all.

2022-04-12Your average Freddy’s. Cashier was really friendly and even offered options that were cheaper for me. Food was as expected but cheese curds were a little on the salty side that day. Burger, fries, and hot dog were good.

2022-04-20Feel like food should have been hotter for how long I had to wait for my food. Food was good outside of not being hot enough. They have my dog a pup cup which was really nice. Staff was also friendly
