Comment: I recently had a very disappointing experience with Ford Fullerton when I went with my son to purchase a Ford F-150 Lightning. Despite informing them a day in advance that I would be coming to buy the truck, they failed to properly prepare the vehicle. The truck was not charged, waxed, or had its tires filled. Additionally, they did not include the complimentary free charger that is supposed to come with the car.What made the experience even worse was the dishonesty of the dealership. They claimed that certain options were not paid for, even though my contract clearly stated otherwise. This deception was just a tactic to get me to sign another contract with extra charges that had no relation to the original deal and provided no value to me.I was also promised a free LoJack theft tracking system and $2,500 off the car, but these were not included in the contract. Unfortunately, I only realized this after signing. When I confronted the dealership about these missing items, they were careless and dismissive, showing no concern for their misleading promises.I chose this dealership because of their good reviews, but I found their high rating to be very misleading. My experience was far from satisfactory, and it’s clear that their reputation does not reflect the reality of their service.Overall, I found Ford Fullerton to be extremely dishonest and untrustworthy in their treatment of customers. I would strongly advise anyone considering doing business with them to be very cautious and thoroughly review all documents before signing. My experience was far from satisfactory, and I hope others can avoid the same issues.

Comment: Take this for what you will. i just thought id share this. my son took his 2013 ford focus with the duel clutch trans. iykyk. it had a check engine light on. with p07a3 trans friction element a stuck. they quoted him 4k+ to replace the clutch. from the paper work looks like they just pulled the code and said it needed a clutch. this was back in March of this year. my son is in Socal i a m in Norcal. the dealer did not offer any other options to repair the vehicle. hes been taking his vehicle to a ford dealer since he had it. so, i went to Socal pick up the vehicle and towed it back to Norcal. had our mechanic look at it and found all it needed was the 2 shift actuators. $300.00 in oem parts, a couple hours of labor and now the vehicle is running fine. ive been driving it for the last 2 months. alot less than 4k for an clutch that wasnt needed. anyways he bought him self a new car and the dealer loss a customer. which im sure they dont care.

Comment: Disappointed with service. Never had a problem with McCoy Mills. Set up a pick up appointment for my vehicle recently. Called them an hour after pick up time. Guy said hed have service director sort it out. I called back 4 hours later. Got the run around. When I offered my confirmation number they didnt want it. What even is that. I can get mistreated like this by a dealer a lot closer. The devil you know......Fullerton Ford replied 10 months later. That looks even worse.

Comment: I’m not sure if it’s possible to do no stars, but if it were possible I would do just that. I took my car in for a brake inspection, they took the car right in, however they took a while in giving the vehicle back to me, I ended up getting my brakes changed out elsewhere and the other mechanic had foun out, that I needed more work than what Fullerton ford had mentioned to me in their inspection findings. Fullerton ford originally said I needed just front rotors and pads, and rear pads and resurfacing the rear rotors, but later finding out that I needed all 4 rotors and 4 pads at the non ford mechanic. I hope my standards are not so high, but if I am paying for an inspection of some sort, I expect that it is done correctly.

Comment: Dont come to this dealership. They deceive and lie to your face. Got my Ford Maverick here, I am pretty happy with the truck. Here is what they told me at the time of purchase: 1) 2 year free maintenance (didnt tell me OR 36k miles whichever comes first) 2) 43k points however I want to spend at Ford for accessories or services. 3) sold me premium warranty at their cost, told me the warranty covers bumper to bumper.What I found out 1.5 years later:1) they used my 43k points towards the supposedly free 2 year maintenance2) bumper to bumper warranty doesnt even include windshield replacement.Im confused...isnt windshield between the bumpers???Honestly this dealership will lie in your face to get their cars and trucks sold and later change their words. I have purchased many cars throughout the years and never seen such dishonest dealership!!!! I feel obligated to let the world know to use caution when visiting or buying cars/trucks from this particular dealership.

Comment: This review is for the SERVICE department. We spoke to Daniel regarding fixing two specific issues on our work truck. A back up camera and a sliding side door. In order for us to be down one work truck, we had to arrange to drop off the truck before Ford service business hours on Friday night for the work to be completed Monday. We also arranged a Uhaul truck for Monday - Wednesday. I spoke to Danny on Monday afternoon to check the status. Much to our surprise - they dont work on back up cameras or sliding side doors for this Ford truck.... This should have been mentioned on the phone when I called originally. This truck had been worked on before at this location so the truck information should be in the system. It took a complete work day to find out they dont work on it(?) We do not live in California so the rental truck, the numerous Lyft rides and the planning required to make these fixes were not a small feat. Hundreds of dollars wasted because someone couldnt be up front with what could be fixed at Ford on a Ford truck.

Comment: Horrible Practices, My fathers ranger was not doing so great and he wanted a new truck. We found one he wanted at Fullerton Ford. I called ahead and gave them the price and stock number online. $26,490 Stock number F2693. Got a confirmation and told them the situation and they awaited my fathers arrival. After test driving my dad decides this is what he wants. At this point my dad is now told that this truck is actually $31,000 After going back and forth for a while the final determination from the manager was they need to make a $5,000 mark up even if the vehicle is advertised at a lower price. I still have all the screen shots with this information. Not only is this practice illegal, it is incredibly predatory. Shame on you Fullerton Ford My dad is a nice honest man who just wanted a new truck and not to get ripped off. I am planning on buying a new F-150 next year as well as several other vehicles for my family, you can guarantee it will not be from this stealership.

Comment: This was the worst experience I have ever had with a dealership! I drove 5 hours with my 3 small children to pick up a vehicle. I arrived ON TIME after confirming just an hour prior of our arrival time to find that they sold the vehicle 20 minutes before I got there! When I asked to speak with the owner a very rude man yelled at me “that’s a bad question to ask right now”. I stood there in shock. Another employee stated the owner had recently passed away. I expressed my condolences for their loss - but how was I to know that information? So to be rude to me on top of the huge inconvenience of 10+ hours in the car with small children plus $150 in gas is unbelievable.

I know all the old adages about Dealers & mechanics in general ripping people off. Being I mechanic myself, trust me, I know. But Ive had my 07 F350 6.o Diesel here a few times. And each time, I know Ill bring it back here and nowhere else for the things that are either beyond me, Im not equipped for, or just too lazy to do myself. The Buena Park Ford on Beach ripped me off & sold me a turbo that I didnt need. This place on Commonwealth in Fullerton had no intention of making the same mistake. If you love your Ford, but dont always love making your own repairs... this is where you want to bring it. Its not the cheapest. But if you want it done right the 1st time, you cant beat it. Needed some Serious A/C work. Taking a trip to Colorado this August. LOTTA desert between SoCal and there. And Im Confident this trip will be a (cool) breeze. Comment: The service department has been overall kind to me, but unfortunately I have to leave a bad review for poor communication and excessive error in estimates. This is the first time ever that a business has told me what I asked for “should be done tomorrow afternoon!” three days in a row. It all started when I couldn’t schedule an appointment for a diagnostic over the weekend, I had to wait for monday for the diagnostic scheduler to arrive. I dropped it off Sunday night and was told they would look at it Monday at 8am and it should be done by the end of the day. They called me Monday afternoon to tell me it won’t be done until tomorrow. I call the next day and someone says it should be done tomorrow. I say at this point I’ve lost trust and have a feeling it’s going to be delayed. they say I’m fourth in line and that they were telling me it should be done when I was 12th in line (why would they estimate that if I was that far behind?!). They didn’t even call me on Thursday. I call Friday and the new update is it won’t be done until next Wednesday. I say I literally only asked for a diagnostic. just paper work. I don’t need repairs, I just need it to be looked at. They say I can pick up the paperwork Saturday morning. I pick up the paperwork and the person who told me to go to Ford in the first place says he wants to go through with the repairs after all. They said the part will take a month to get here, but if they order aftermarket it should only take a week. I say I’d rather do that. I hear no updates so I call a week later only for them to tell me I denied repairs. Yes, originally I did, but that has since been changed and it seems like no one understood that? Now I’m not sure if I’ve been letting it sit there for a week while the part may have not even been on the way. I think whenever I finally get my car back (maybe next year at this point?) I’d prefer to sell it than ever have to go through this again.

My car doesnt even have 48K miles so I thought it was going to be a minor fix it. Well Midas quoted us $4800 to fix this and said my Turbo Booster needed replacing. I wanted a 2nd opinion so I took it to Dealership and Ford ended up replacing a hose that was connected to my Turbo Booster because the hose had a big tear which was causing my to lose acceleration. I was in neighborhood and decided to drop by the Fullerton Ford Dealership to see what their supply looked like (its rough out there). I saw a Bronco and the Maverick there parked. Introduced myself to Ron - fleet manager. Ron: Extremely knowledgeable and I could tell hes been in the business for a while based on his expertise. I inquired about the 2022 Ford Maverick on the lot. Ron said it was on order for a customer but if they backed out hed reach out.Fast-forward 2 days later, Ron reach out and said it was available (talk about SWAT - Sell Whats Available Today). Upon my arrival I was greeted by Jesse. Let me tell you this young buck is a rockstar. Jesse was extremely knowledgeable and knew a lot about the truck. Jesse proceeded to tell me he was the one that had originally ordered the truck for his father but that his father decided to upgrade to a F-150. Makes sense.During the process of getting qualified for financing and completing the purchase Gene did a great job explaining my service and warranty options, I did appreciate that. A total professional. Gene did the absolute best to get me the best rate (certainly helped that I had a great credit score). Overall the staff was super friendly and focused, as they should, its Veteran owned by my namesake Abraham. That in itself adds to the prestige in service.I think the only thing I was a little disappointed about was the markups. I understand but didnt expect it from the blue oval. At the end of the day Ive acquired one of the hottest trucks on the market in a Lariat trim TNT (today not tomorrow).

At first, Fullerton Ford did a quick repair on my wifes new suv; however, they mishandled the initial repairs--price estimate, time horizon for getting things completed, etc. They blamed covid, shipping delays, Ford(no accountability) As a former Marine, theres only one answer Id accept: No excuse Sir! Management soon stepped in/up and got everything squared away ASAP, at estimated price point. They took a small loss but thier integrity is more valuable than cash. He never gave up after we had to bring the car back multiple times and he continued to try new things to solve the problem. Comment: Went in for computer programming recall. Left my OBD reader I use to monitor my engine after rebuild plugged in. Got truck back, and on way home noticed it was gone. Called service department and talked to service person that had helped me. Said I didnt have one in there without even checking with the mechanic. Asked to check with mechanic anyways as he had to remove it to program my truck and he was out on a road test. Received call back later that the mechanic said it wasnt in there. It definitely was. I used it on way to dealership.If you go here I recommend taking everything out of your vehicle. Thats the only thing I had not removed.

Comment: Im the owner of Reckless Crew Hobby Store (Traxxas Exclusive Dealer) in La Habra. As you can see from our google reviews, I believe in taking care of our customers. So when I shop for a new truck, I pick the dealer that has the same business sense as I practice at my store. In my honest opinion, Fullerton Ford is not your typical dealer. Their down to earth attitude in providing best service and knowledge in picking out the right car/truck for your needs. You can sense that they genuinely want to help you to get into a car of your choice by listening to your needs. They care less on overselling but do listen to its customers needs. My sales rep, Bryan, was the most helpful salesperson Ive met in my life time. He was very thorough with explaining all the features of each car that I was interested in. He was maticulate and very organized to get me going once the purchase was done. I will definitely recommend this dealership to my own customers at the store.

Comment: My car broke down on south bound grapevine. Having plenty of time waiting for tow truck I googled ratings for Ford dealerships with the towing allowance I had. Fullerton Ford had the highest. Our tow arrived a little after official closing but Kimberly waited to receive to ensure my car was secured for the night. The techs made the determination, Ford no longer provided the parts, so together we shopped for aftermarket. Part received, car quickly repaired and it runs great. Weve been to several dealers looking at different colors with ranging prices. From the moment Yasmine answered our texts/emails everything seemed to fall into place. I recently took my car in for an oil change to check it out, given that a lot of the same employees were still in the Service Dept. Comment: UPDATE 11/12/2021.....Kelly, the Fullerton Ford corporate liason, contacted me the next day to apologize for my experience at the dealership. She and the dealership made amends and made it right!! Although my initial interaction was negative, Kelly made the effort and took the time to fix the problem. I wish more businesses would go the extra mile for their customers!!! My wife was working with the internet sales person Steve on a Bronco Sport. He said, the one you want is on the lot, come down and test drive it. I drove over from Costa Mesa and drove what he said was the correct vehicle only to find out that it was a different, $4K more expensive, vehicle. The one he said was on the lot, hadnt even arrived at the dealership. I wasnt happy about that, but we negotiated a deal for the more expensive one. Signed all the paperwork in finance, then they told me it had a recall on it that would hopefully be fixed in the morning. Got a call the next day, fix would take 2-4 weeks. Biggest problem is that the recall(for a fuel module), occurred almost a month earlier and they knew about it before they wasted 3 hours of my time and ran my credit. Never enjoy buying a car, but this dealership is horrible. Best thing I can say is that they all had smiles on their faces as they wasted my time!

Comment: Had a great experience with this dealership. We had been looking for our car that we wanted to purchase for quite a while, finding it nowhere, until finally found it here. Unfortunately they were closing in under an hour and we were way more than that away from the place. Not wanting to have the car sold out from under me, I asked the manager if we could put a deposit down to hold the car. He said that they don’t typically do that especially for the type of car we wanted, but he was willing to make an exception for us. We were able to put down a deposit and go the next day to pick up the car. Process of signing the paperwork was fairly easy, the car was fully charged and ready for us to go. One caveat, the car did not have the charger inside and when we asked about getting it, we were told it didn’t come with one. We knew that was not true and made them go get it. So just make sure everything is with your car thats supposed to be there.

Also I asked to have my cabin air filter checked which was maybe 1.5 years old and they okayed the old one and saved me money vs just charging me and replacing with a new one. Thanks a lot! I was due for an oil change and tire rotation. Got a call back about 2 hrs. Later and Stephanie said vehicle is getting washed and will be ready by the time i get there. So I went and engaged with this dealership.The end to end process took a few days. This is not because of McCoy & Mills Ford. He let me go for few days to work out what I needed to work out, even we had the details of the deal all drawn out.To me, this is good customer service. Comment: We found a vehicle we were interested in online and asked if it was available. We received a quick response and we responded later with a few questions after closing time, but Bonnie promptly responded the next morning. We werent able to make it out from Riverside for a couple of days but Bonnie offered to let us know if it happened to sell before then.We got there and Bonnie was busy inside, but Paul helped us out. He was a very nice family guy who was considerate of all of our questions and was full of knowledge to answer every single one. We were able to get a good test drive to see how the car handled and I was able to test every button/switch/handle/lever to know that everything was in working order. Paul was patient as we looked the car over with a fine tooth comb. We did throw a couple of questions at him he had to check on, but got us the answers almost immediately. We sat down to start the paperwork and Paul continued to help us and work with finance. Even while Gene was getting the sale and finance paperwork together, Paul was continuing conversation and answering other questions we had. Reminded me of the friendly neighbor next door. Plus, it helped pass the time while everything paperwork wise was taken care of. (I dont think Ive signed so much paperwork before. LOL)I love that they have been family owned and operated since 1930. This was a great buy/investment and McCoy & Mills staff really made us feel like VIPs on a red carpet. Comment: I recently purchased a 2018 Dodge Charger RT from this dealership and it has been the best car buying experience Ive ever had. I did tremendous amount of research and was in the market for a brand new charger but knew with the price point I was comfortable being at meant that I was getting a lower trim model. Therefore, my search forced me to look into used chargers and McCoy Mills had one in stock. It had every package available with low mileage and at the best price! I went in for a test drive and was helped by a great associate by the name of Paul Smock. Paul was extremely helpful, transparent and highlighted the fact that they were a family owned business. After the test drive and some talk, I immediately fell in love with the car. But had to wait to think about it. I then came in the next day with my father to finalize the car and do a trade in with my 2017 Lexus ES 350. We were at last helped by Vincent Castro who has proven to be one the best reps to have ever helped us. He was very professional, direct and there wasnt a moment where we felt like we were being assisted by a salesperson trying to sell us the car. He assisted us as if we were a close friends of his. We had a price in mind that we wanted to pay and after couple hours, Vincent made my dream of getting that exact charger a possibility! He broke down everything we needed to know, was extremely fair with what was possible and confirmed with us what we were actually getting. Vincent and the whole team at MM Ford welcomed us with open arms and really took good care of us. Comment: Over the last 12 years, I’ve had to deal with many car dealerships for myself and for family members. McCoy by far has been my favorite one. When I reached out to inquire on a specific F150 platinum I was connected to Eric.Eric went above and beyond to get me the information, he was courteous and easy to communicate with. After confirming all of the features and the price I scheduled an appointment with Eric to test drive the truck later that week. I didn’t get the “if you don’t hurry it will be gone” baloney that other salesmen tend to do. Eric held the truck for me until I was able to stop by.When I arrived, I was greeted very kindly and Eric had pulled the truck around. After test driving it I had ample time to think about it. I even had several other requests that were met with the utmost professionalism from Mike the manager.The finance fella didn’t try to upsell which I was expecting to have to fight off. After my purchase was complete I had an additional request that was taken care of at no cost. Eric, Mike, and the service team just wanted to make sure I was happy! The customer before profit, they have the right mentality here.Overall, I came away with a truck I love and a dealer experience that was amazing! Comment: Recently had the transmission basically rebuilt on my Fusion and they worked so well with me and my schedule and provided me with a rental car while my car was being worked on. I enjoyed that I dropped my car off with Andrew (one of the associates) and when it was completely fixed *and washed* I picked my car up with Andrew. The same associate helped me and talked to my parents (who live out of state), keeping us all informed on what was being done. Comment: I purchased my Mustang here last December and I couldnt be happier. I ordered my car because they couldnt find one that was equipped the way I wanted it. Ordering was no problem. I felt I was treated fairly and got a decent trade-in on my (then) current car. My sales rep was Eric. He is a good guy and will treat you fairly. I just had my car in for its first service. The car was ready when promised and no fingerprints from the mechanics. This is my first experience at this dealership and I would definitely recommend them for a purchase or service. It was nice to do business with a dealership that isnt part of a conglomerate of dealerships.

Comment: The service team is courteous and helpful(Arthur is very helpful and has always treated me great), but the operations and flow of the dealership service make the customer experience terrible.First, they overbook appointments constantly and the service team has no idea if you have an appointment or not. The service team has to check everyone in (other dealers have a person doing this as their sole job which is nice) and so you can have an appointment, show up on time but not be greeted or start your service for 20-30 minutes because the service team is impacted. And the service team never has the notes I gave when I made the appointment.Second, they only keep one porter on the weekends - their busiest time. Once you have paid for your car service, you can be waiting for 30-45 minutes while the porter is driving the shuttle/washing cars before you get your car. With how busy they are, or at least claim to be, I cannot believe they can only afford one porter on the weekends. You have to beg to get your car washed, I know that is complimentary but for the prices you pay to get your car serviced it should be a standard.Third and the only complaint I have about the actual service team, is that no one ever goes over my service with me after it is finished. They call and tell you it is ready and they will answer questions for you over the phone there, but you better have exact questions locked and ready. When you go to pick up/pay for your car, you are sent to the cashier immediately. You can wait for your service personnel to free up and speak with you, but again, they are always heavily impacted.My point is, to make the customer experience better they should expand the service team a little and figure out the appointments so customers who make an appointment get first priority (the whole reason I make an appointment). At the very least, hire a person to check-in cars so the service team can focus a little more on the customers.If the dealership was not so close to my house I would find another service option. Sadly, they are better than Ken Grody and therefore the option I choose to get my car serviced.
