I recently purchased a Porsche 993 fromGarage Kept Motors. My experience with the team was very pleasant. AJ’s great communication and honesty made me purchase a car unseen without any inspections before having it shipped to CA.Vehicle is exactly what was described and I enjoy it every day.Thank you Garage Kept Motors!
Last week I emailed the company through another website. I ended up speaking with Ben through email. When I was ready to pull the trigger on the 1966 Mustang 289 I called and spoke with Ben on the phone. Most professional salesman I have ever dealt with! The conversation lasted no more than 5 minutes. I didnt get the price I was asking, HE GAVE ME A LOWER NUMBER! Ben told me that because of military service and now law enforcement he would be honored to lower the price. A true American business. After our phone conversation, he sent me three emails with detailed instructions. Within 2 days I had a shipping company on the phone.J & J Shipping was recommended by Ben.I called and immediately Allison picked up. Wonderful person. After a short conversation she gave me an estimate. 30 minutes later I had a shipper and was within the estimate.Throughout this process Ben with Garage Kept Motors, and Allison with J & J Shipping have been easy to get ahold of and made everything move smoothly.I dont ever leave reviews, but after this experience I had too.Thank you to both companies.
We took our 1968 SS/RS big block 396 Butternut Yellow Camaro to Garage Kept Motors to sell for us and had a great experience working with the staff thru the entire process. We were very pleased with AJ meeting with us to get all the details to list our car, and very pleased how Bryan handled the selling of the car; he did a great job! Ben was friendly to deal with at the final paperwork time, and Jeremy and Cole whom we met and dealt with briefly during the time were also great. The whole staff is easy to deal with and very polite and professional. The whole process was very positive and seemless. We felt very confident leaving our car their knowing they had showings by appointment only, not allowing the general public to come in and walk around tire kicking. Appointment only viewing was important to us because it kept the traffic around the cars to just potential serious folks. We were very comfortable working with all these folks at Garage Kept Motors, and Highly recommend them whether you are selling or buying. They Currently have our 37 Ford Hot Rod there for sale too. Theyre Great Folks!!
Finally a serious American garage which sold me a vehicle conforming to the photos and description from a distance (I am French). The level is such that the vehicle appeared in a magazine which is sold all over France.Highly recommend to French people who want to import a bit from the United States into France 😉👍
Recently I purchased a 66 Chevelle and Bryan Breuker was my sales person. I knew what I was looking for and through a lot of research decided to work with GKM. The whole process was simple and I had a third party inspection done because I live in ME and couldnt fly out to their location. The shipping broker J&J Brown that was recommended by GKM was awesome. The process was simple and straight forward from the purchase to delivery. This was the first time Ive purchased a car this way and had an excellent experience. The few things not working with the car are expected when buying an old car. I have had the car since 7/22/22 and have fixed the issues. All in all it took a week to complete the process of purchase to delivery and now Im enjoying the ride and tinkering. Do your homework, know what you want, and GKM will take care of the rest. Thank you to everyone involved in my experience. GKM was upfront about the minor issues with the car and documented excellent photos to depict the car accurately. Again Thank You!
After searching for several years for my dream ’51 chevy pickup, I found her at Garage Kept Motors (GKM).The vehicle detail and 150+ photos found on their website made the decision to travel to Michigan easy. On arrival we were met by Bryan and made to feel welcome roaming the garage admiring all the vehicles on sale. Bryan was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions about the truck. Ben was amazing at laying out the entire purchase and shipping process for the vehicle. It had all the details necessary but Ben was still willing to take on emails and phone calls to ensure the vehicle got up to Canada safe and sound. If we decide to purchase a second restored vintage vehicle, we will definitely start our search at GKM.For all Canadians, please continue to read…. If you do purchase a vehicle out of the US, use a Canadian shipper to transport over the border to your home location.
I bought a classic car from GKM and was unable to go see the car in person because Im in California and the car is in Michigan. The salesperson Bryan was very helpful, patient and diligent. He even took the car on a test drive for me and filmed the whole thing while he was driving the car. He inspected the car for me and sent me detailed pictures any concerns. It was a very difficult negotiation and would never have gotten done if Bryan had not handled it with grace and patience. I want to say thank you to Bryan and Ben at Garage Kept Motors. They were fantastic!
Recently sold my classic through GKM and it was a fast and easy process. I dropped off the keys and title and came back and picked up a check. I experienced such great service I recommended them to my Dad and he sold his car even faster than I did. A+ team to work with. Thank you GKM team for all you do!
Watch the details. They will try to put something over on you. I reached out about a stock 1986 Blazer. Turns out, the exhaust system is entirely non stock and will cost $1000 to fix. They also added back a $200 processing fee after the final sales price was negotiated that they agreed to wave. And lets add that if you give them an honest review based on facts (this entire process was done in writing and not over the phone), you will get calls and emails demanding that you change it or take it down. And the latest...they will threaten legal action for defamation if you do not take down your review! So now I have to pay for a new exhaust system AND an attorney! Beware folks...if they already have an attorney to help them intimidate folks to take down negative reviews, this is likely to have happened before.
The buying of the vehicle was great, but the car was not as good as they claimed or showed on the internet. I am replacing everything from the firewall forward and have replaced weather stripping. I am also re-building the motor(my choice). The car I purchased was sold a 1971 Mach 1 with a 429 Cobra Jet. Wimbledon White with black interior. Interior was also shot. I wasnt expecting the metal and welding performed on the car until I pulled the fenders. I can send you pictures if you would like just an absolutely terrible front of the car. I am cutting the entire front end away and re-doing the car. I didnt expect a show car but this was far less of a car than I thought I was getting. I also cant find any signs that it is in fact a 429 Coba Jet Motor.
My goodness, what a blessing Garage Kept Motors is! After a downturn in my husband’s health, it fell on me to sell his Cobra. I knew absolutely nothing about the car, and I mean nothing! I scraped together a little information and, on the recommendation of a friend, I called GKM. A friendly voice answered immediately and Brian couldn’t have been more patient and helpful as I tried to provide the information he needed. Shortly thereafter, an enclosed trailer with a highly skilled driver picked the car up. GKM stayed in contact as offers came in, until we finally decided the best offer had been made. GKM was totally transparent about the sale and I was provided with the complete sales contract when I received payment. We couldn’t be happier with our decision to trust Garage Kept Motors with our rare car.
First class operation! I am very particular, and AJs facility and staff gave me complete confidence to leave my car with them. No open showroom and showings by appointment only! I’ll never use anyone else. Vehicle was well documented and photographed. Also, got my asking price, no negotiations. AJ and staff know how to listen, and provided valuable input. Great job guys😎
I purchased a vehicle from Bryan Breuker, site unseen. I am in Ontario Canada and Bryan in Grand Rapids Michigan. Many superb photos, lots of email exchanges, and the deal went very smoothly. I would recommend Garage Kept Motors to everyone and Bryan was very helpful.
GKM has sold 2 cars for me. I sent my Porche Cayman to AJ to see if there was a market. He assured me there was. GKMs market reach is impressive. His organization prepped it, marketed it and sold it within a month to a customer out of state. Last year he sold my Corvette to a customer in Denmark. I would have never found a customer in another country. If youre looking for help selling a special vehicle, GKM takes care of business in a professional manner. Very satisfied.
I have been looking for a specific vehicle (a low mileage 1984 Camaro Z28 HO) for quite a while and thought I had found it here. I live in Arizona and was flying to Michigan, unfortunately for a memorial. But fortunately, the car was still available and I had a window where I could view the car. Their site states by appointment so I was optimistic, because my visit would have been anytime after 8pm the requested evening. I was giving almost six days notice. However, I was told his children were in sports and he absolutely would not miss that activity. Surprisingly, there was no offer to have another person meet me, or any other suggestion.I am giving them a 2 star instead of what probably should be a 1 star because they did respond to my contact promptly and on a weekend, even though they obviously did not want my business.ADDENDUM: The owner of GKM reached out to me. Apparently there was an internal issue, which has been addressed. We had an excellent conversation and I believe my initial experience was an isolated incident and GKM will do their best to work with your personal situation.
Cant say anything but good things about the service provided by Bryan at GKM. I was nervous being out state with such a big purchase but with the help of Bryan he answered any and all questions I had about the the vehicle I was interested in and finally purchased. From initial web search to the day my vehicle arrived nothing but A class service.
My favorite car buying experience, ever. The process was so effortless and smooth. Every email, every question, every possible concern of mine was answered at length and in a timely fashion. I purchased a vehicle from Garage Kept, while living 2200 miles away, and during the whole process I felt as though I was with them in person. I cannot say enough nice things about all the gentlemen that helped me through the process. They sent me updates prior to, and during shipment. Sent any picture when I requested something unique. They even got me the contact information of the gentlemen selling the car just in case I wanted to reach out to him with further questions. Very professional, but more importantly just a great group of individuals.PS-- JJ Brown Carriers did a fantastic job of delivering the vehicle as well. I am happy the guys at Garage Kept set me up with them! Thanks for towing my sweet ride from Michigan to California!
I had never thought I would purchase a vehicle online, but a beautiful 71 Challenger came up for sale at Garage Kept Motors. I called and spoke to Jeremy about the car, and he was very helpful. One note about our conversations, that Id like to mention. At one point, Jeremy mentioned how nice the car was, to which I said, yeah, but I know SOMEBODY will say....YOU took a used car salesmans word for it!!??I could tell by the slight change in his tone, that he took exception to that statement. He then said yes, technically, he is a used car salesman, but is particularly a part owner of the business. That little bit of pride of reputation showed through.I took his word for it, bought the car, and couldnt be more impressed. The car is gorgeous! When the Reliable Carriers drive calls an mentions, you bought a beautiful car, ya gotta smile a bit. 😊Jeremy and Ben were, true, honest and helpful. They kept me in the loop through the entire transaction. And I received exactly what I was told I would.Excellent experience (though a bit nerve wracking....lol), but in the midst of the Covid surge, a very happy result.Highly recommended.
“Fantastic place, great customer service!”Garage Kept Motors was top notch! Jeremy and team went above and beyond to make sure my experience exceeded expectation. He was readily available, quickly responded to all my questions and there was absolutely no pressure...just quick and professional. The car was well documented and described on the website. And going above and beyond! Once I purchased the car... Jeremy not only assisted me in finding a carrier, but he negotiated a lower shipping rate on my behalf. The car arrived on time and was even nicer than the photos. My experience was so good...I decided to have Jeremy sell one of my classic cars because I knew it would be in good hands, well represented and end up in a good home. I would highly recommend Jeremy and Garage Kept Motors to anyone who is looking for a classic vehicle.Bob / Bradenton, FL
I was appraising a very hard to find vehicle and ran across a comparable car that Garage Kept Motors LLC had sold. I left a voicemail for Jeremy concerning this past sale and he kindly returned my call. He was generous in providing information that was crucial to my valuation. As a car guy, I was very impressed with Jeremy’s professional yet cordial manner, as well as his inventory of American muscle and high-end European sports cars.
Flew up from the south to buy a vehicle. They said Its overall condition is excellent with few signs of wear, and no damage. Some of that is true. The body and interior is in good shape with only minor repairs needed. They said one of their people drove it a couple of days while they had it and it was in good mechanical condition. WRONG. Had to have a tune up on it, which helped a lot, before leaving Michigan. It showed signs of an oil leak and I asked them what was leaking. They said they didnt know but there were no visible puddles under the vehicle. The cruise control didnt work. The AC didnt work. The radio didnt work. The horn didnt work. Some weather stripping needs to be replaced. The windshield leaks. I was too committed to back out. If I hadnt wanted one of these style vans for so long I would have. The trip which should have taken two days at the most ended up taking four. The alternator housing broke in Arkansas at 4 oclock in the morning. I thought it was just the serpentine belt. Both the engine and transmission is leaking severely. We had to stop between fuel stops to put oil and transmission fluid in. I really felt bad for the people following me too closely. 150 miles from home I called my son to meet us at a U-Haul place where I rented a car trailer to get us home without completely ruining the engine or transmission. Now that Ive got it home, Im looking at the expense of having a mechanic replace all the gaskets and seals on the engine and transmission. Whatever you do, either check out the vehicle youre wanting to buy from this company in person if youre close enough or have someone check it out for you.
Many Thanks A.J. and Jeremy for your online retail Classic Car offerings. Garage Kept recently sold my classic Mustang and as promised provided the full Bill of Sale with my proceeds to document and prove prices. These are two of the Good-Guys when it comes to consignment, marketing, and after the sale service. I will definitely use Garage Kept in the future when I sell or buy another classic. Nice Work, and thanks !!!!
Jeremy, Ben, and AJ were awesome to deal with. This was my first experience buying a vehicle out of state and these guys made the entire process from end to end not only comfortable but pleasant.I cant thank you guys enough for you honestly and your help with closing this sale. You guys worked with me every step of the way and I cant thank you enough. You integrity goes a long way with me and I will highly recommend you guys to everyone I know! The Simpsons
I contacted Jeremy about a car I found on Classic Cars for Sale via redirect the day before Thanksgiving and received some information on it from hm.I was a serious buyer, but didnt commit to buy immediately. Friday morning I received an email from Jeremy stating the he had just received a deposit on the car and to consider it sold. My loss. While it appears to be a small thing, I gave him five stars for his professionalism. Its a small detail but says a lot about he interacts with prospective clients.Tony
Just purchased a 1063 Rolls Royce from Garage Kept Motors. Great experience. A.J. was great to deal with answered all my questions , told me who restored the car and give me his telephone number to call and have the car inspected. Ben was great about getting all the paper work to me . I would use them again if they had a car I wanted
I recently purchased a vehicle from GKM and although my initial experience was favorable, what followed was less than stellar. I drove my vehicle for less than 500 miles after purchase and numerous times the check engine light came on. I took it to a shop who ran a scan and it revealed there was a cylinder misfire, a catalytic converter issue and an ABS issue. I took it to a second professional mechanic, who owns three Jaguars himself, only to be reassured someone bypassed the check engine light in order to sell the vehicle. Don’t get me wrong, appearance and exterior conditions are great. But if the engine isn’t working properly then what’s the point? I bought the vehicle as is, I am aware. I have zero legal recourse, I am aware. Take this review into consideration when purchasing a vehicle from Garage Kept Motors. Whether they knowingly sold a vehicle that had these issues your call. However, I will not recommend nor will I purchase from them again.
I just received the 2015 Porsche Cayman from GarageKept. Working with Aj and Jeremy was a pleasure. This was my first purchase for a Porsche from pictures only. I wanted to get a Pre Purchase Inspection and they kindly dropped off the Porsche to the dealer and picked it up. The discussions and questions were handled in a professional and pleasant way. At no time did I feel pressured to make this deal. I highly recommend them and will check their site if i plan on buying another vehicle.
I brought my 3 classic cars to AJ, Jeremy and company. I gave them a good product to Markey but these guys know how to do marketing. My Mustang sold within a week, my 55 belair was sold almost quicker than the Mustang and then they sold my Camaro and all three were sold within one month total. The guys know their stuff and have a good rep which is why I chose them. Their website is also above others by a long shot.
Best car buying experience Ive ever had. Jeremy was excellent to work with. Ben and the rest of the staff were top notch!I purchased my car completely sight unseen over the phone and website which is always a little nerve racking. When I arrived, the carwas every bit as advertised and exceeded my expectations. Highly, highly recommend. Great guys, great company, great experience.
Over the years, I’ve dealt with many classic car brokers, dealers, and enthusiasts while both buying and selling. Without question, Garage Kept Motors is the most pleasurable and upstanding group of car enthusiasts is hat I’ve dealt with. I recently called Jeremy to sell a vehicle for me and from beginning to end, the process was simple, easy, and flawless. These guys enjoy what they do and treat their customers with the utmost respect. I’d recommend GKM to anyone considering buying or selling without hesitation. It’s rare to find a company that consistently goes above and beyond their customer expectations and do so in such a professional manner. Keep it up!
I bought a sweet Jeep from Jeremy at GKM. I was lucky enough to live locally to them but I recommend to anyone, anywhere, to buy with confidence. I would have purchased from them no matter where I lived and months after making my purchase I have only confirmed my confidence with GKM. If you are considering a purchase with them but feel shaky about the distance or quality, set it aside and go with your gut, I am glad I did and Jeremy was there every step with every answer, and no sales techniques whatsoever. A+ purchase.
I have had the extreme pleasure to have purchased 3 fantastic vehicles from Jeremy and AJ. I have also engaged in them selling a vehicle for me. This is a World Class experience you get as a buyer and seller. They have a high level of professionalism and bring in quality vehicles to entice you and leave your buying experience completely fulfilled. If you are looking for a vehicle that separates you from others, consider saving their website and checking it daily. They bring in and sell a lot of vehicles, quickly, so do not hesitate if you see something you like! They handle / help you with all aspects of the buying process, including the registrations and transportation/delivery to you. Give them a chance to find you the valued vehicle you have been looking for.
My experience as a customer:Beware of this company. Beware of what they say and write about a vehicle.Beware when they say they will hold the vehicle with a deposit, and they don’t tell you it is nonrefundable.Do not believe the description that they have on their website, It can be incorrect and misleading. The staff does not purport themselves to be mechanics, if they try to give you advice on a vehicle do not believe what they say.Be prepared to have an outside inspection of these vehicles, especially validating every part of the mechanics of the vehicles well as advertised accessories. They are nice people, you just need to do your homework.
I trusted Jermey and AJ with the sale of my 1969 GTO and in every way the delivered on their promises. These guys are professionals and although I was torn as to whether I should or should not have sold the car, they were able to get the price I wanted and handled the transaction remotely for me in a way that was truly impressive. They get two very big thumbs up from me. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is trying to sell their classic car to right buyer.
Purchased a 1968 Plymouth from Jeremy, He was a nice person, I explained how I was looking for something in near perfect condition, next to no paint flaws and something that was mechanically sound, especially if I was going to be paying the top price they were asking. I was assured that thats what I was receiving, however when it got to me it was nothing as described. There were a ton of paint flaws, rust in spots, oil leaking from almost every gasket under the hood. Dropped the oil pan only to find metal shavings littered throughout it and not to mention third gear is gone, the vehicle was driven and then delivered to me 3 quarts of trans fluid low. So now I have a project on my hands, and a lot more money to spend... DO NOT buy a car sight unseen, ever. Even if you do your homework and think your dealing with a reputable company. DO NOT DO IT!
These guys are great. My car took a little longer to sell than we all thought due to it being a little specific...A 1969 Buick GS400 convertible. But the way they market to every outlet that sells classic cars and handle the buyers that are just tire kickers and real, totally worth it. Their fees are very fair for what they do. I would never try to sell on my own again as they take all thehassle out of it.
Just brought my 2009 Porsche 911 Cab home from Garage Kept Motors. Living only a couple hours drive from the place, I had the opportunity to inspect the car, and then revisit with a mechanic for a comprehensive inspection. AJ and Ben were both very helpful in providing all the time and resource needed to gain a good understanding of the car. If they had another car I was interested in, Id not hesitate to see them again. Thanks guys!
I bought my V10 super car from Garage Kept Motors and it was a great experience dealing with AJ during the buying process and similarly with Ben through the documentation and titling. The staff of this great dealership was professional and super helpful and even though I was an out of state buyer, they answered every question I asked and made me feel comfortable with the purchase.I had them drop the car off for a Pre-Purchase Inspection at the dealership and AJ organized the entire experience diligently.I have already started to share this experience with family and friends and highly recommend Garage Kept Motors to people seeking a great buying experience.
Jeremy was very helpful as this was my first buy online , very Trustworthy people I would buy from him againUpdate 12/5/2018Car has Bondo around both rear fenders and in the trunk tracks all the bumper brackets rear and front are Jerry rigged also the owner had cut a big piece of the rocker panel out and covered it with a kick plate. motor has oil leaks , carb is junk alternator not working, wiring is burnt in the dash almost burnt the car up and turn singles, horn , interior lights and many more things are wrong! I was told motor was a crate motor with 15k and the car had no bondo or rust and that Jeremy said it was so nice that he would buy it himself! So 8k to fix all that was wrong did not fix the bondo issue yet. So don’t buy unless you check it out , I will never buy unless I check it myself from this point12/6/2018 updateJeremy called about my review update on the 5 th we talked and Jeremy stated that the car looked good and the guy selling must have duped him I have have respect for Jeremy calling me and talking this out hens besides all the stuff that was wrong I still like my car
I highly recommend AJ and Garage Kept Motors. My experience in buying a sports car from him was above my expectations. Phone calls/texts, test drive and then purchase was all smooth and without worry. I will definitely purchase from him again in the future and refer my friends.
I recently purchased a 79 Corvette from AJ and the crew at Garage Kept Motors and have nothing but great things to say. I am only an hour away from the shop and was fortunate enough to be able to speak with AJ and visit in person. All I can say is WOW! What a place. Clean, heated and a car lovers paradise. I could have spent days just looking at all the awesome cars. The process of purchase was very easy and any questions I had were answered very quickly. Living in Michigan, in February, it was not a great idea to drive the new toy home so AJ set me up with a truly professional hauler as well. Could not have asked for a smoother transaction of my first car in the collection! I know that when Im ready to add #2 that AJ and Garage Kept Motors will be the first place I call.
I have known the owner of GKM for four plus years. I used his off-site storage location in NE Grand Rapids, MI, for my exquisite 88 Porsche: Type 911. That facility is top notch indoor, climate controlled storage for a vehicle. Always impeccably maintained! I recently consigned this vehicle for sale with his business on 36th Street in Grand Rapids. He is the consummate professional. He had the car less than three weeks and it is sold. I trusted him with the vehicles sale and he did not disappoint. Garage Kept Motors is a fantastic business, for all your needs and concerns regarding purchase, sale or storage of a classic or contemporary vehicle of a certain type, condition and value. One of a kind!!
I had been searching for a 911 with the perfect combination of options when I stumbled upon the one at Garage Kept Motors. Not knowing what to expect, I gave them a call and was connected with Jeremy (one of the business owners). Jeremy was very knowledgeable about the car and pleasantly answered all my questions while inviting me to come take a look at the car first hand. I made the trip the next day and was blown away by the facility and the selection of fine automobiles on hand. Jeremy had the 911 ready for me when I arrived and graciously allow me to inspect the car in detail for as long as a wanted without anyone looking over my shoulder. I concluded the condition was better than advertised and was then able to test drive with Jeremy while he answered more of my questions. I was so satisfied with the inspection and drive that I made on offer on the car on the spot. I took delivery of the 911 a couple days later, and was treated to a completely professional and efficient paperwork process with Ben. Ben made this part of the transaction completely painless and followed through to ensure I received my new plates and title in the mail timely. I have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to purchase many classic and speciality cars over my lifetime, and I have to advocate Garage Kept Motors as having the best purchase experience to date. These guys are the real deal and I look forward to my next transaction with them!
AJ was knowledgeable, professional and he stands behind the vehicles he sells. He takes the time to make sure his customer is happy with their purchase. I would not hesitate to recommend AJ and Garage Kept Motors for your next quality car purchase. Ben in Finance was prompt with payment and Title services. And they have awesome cars!
I found GKM online by accident really. The website is great and showed many pics of my High Sierra. Jeremy was professional and honest while working with me. No nonsense and easy to work with. I purchased the truck. Also I shipped my Chevelle from my NJ home to him to consign after sending him pics. He liked the car and thought he could net me a very promising number. Local classic dealers offered me very low numbers telling me its not an SS or a big block blah blah blah. Jeremy received my car and loved it! He told me I undersold it and he listed it for a greater number than we discussed. After only a couple of weeks the car sold and netted me 10k more than my local buyer offered. Was I lucky? Are NJ classic car dealers crooks? I wont say but be sure that Garage Kept Motors is my only phone call for future purchases or sales. Thanks Jeremy!
Wow, cant say enough good things about Garage Kept Motors. AJ and Jeremy were friendly and honest, the car is exactly as described/pictured on the website, and the whole sales process was very smooth. This wasnt the first car Id bought online but was the first time Id bought a consignment vehicle so their help was appreciated. They also recommended a transport company that gave me a good rate for enclosed transport. But really, any company can look good when everything goes right. What set them apart for me was how they handled things when there was an issue with the car just before it was shipped. They called, let me know what was going on, and worked out a fair compromise with the seller. When the car arrived it turned out that the issue was a very minor fix...but it was good to know they stood behind their product that way. This is truly the way buying a classic car should be. Thanks Guys!
What a great experience we had, my wife and I traveled from North Carolina to Michigan to purchase a 1961 C10 truck, It was as described and was a smooth transaction. Thanks for being truthful in your descriptions of vehicles. I was the victim of a crook on eBay earlier this year, so was very pleasant to meet some honest people on ebay.
I am so happy that I found Garage Kept Motors to assist me with the sale of my two classic vehicles. A.J. and Jeremy are so down to earth, honest and upfront in their business that I felt secure in trusting them with the sale of my vehicles. Not only did they find buyers for both vehicles, one within 2 weeks and the other within a month, but I received my asking price or above. I would recommend them to anyone who was interested in selling or purchasing.
The best I was looking for a triumph tr6 as a gift for my husband for our 25 anniversary and found one at Garage Kept. I do not buy the cars in my family as I hate going to dealerships but AJ made this experience awesome. He was available for any question and knew where to direct me. They are honest! My husband loves his car and is so impressed with the quality. AJ does not deal in junk he is first class. My husband and I tell our friends about him and we.found out after buying this car our friends who have classic cars knew about Garage Kept already and had nothing but good to say.I
Absolutely wonderful experience. Jeremy was very real and everything went smoothly. We purchased a beautiful Jeep by only seeing the pictures on line and speaking with Jeremy. When we arrived at Garage Kept Motors, the Jeep was exactly like he said and everything set and ready to go. No hassles and a friendly staff that handled everything for us. He even gave us a trailer hitch at no cost! We highly recommend this place and hopefully will get to deal with them again in the future.
Absolutely amazing group. Bought an SL65 AMG and it was everything they said it was. I was most impressed with how quickly the whole deal was processed, and had my vehicle 2 days later from halfway across the country. Will 100% consider using again to buy or for consignment, and have already referred a friend with a Bentley to sell.
Garage Kept Motors has an INSANE variety of flat-out cool cars and trucks. Walking through their facility is an awesome experience. Jeremy helped me during the process of looking at a vintage SUV they had for sale there, answering a lot of questions thoughtfully. I was seriously impressed by his knowledge, straightforwardness, and professionalism. It was clear to me that hes in this business for the right reasons, a love of cars and a passion for helping people find what theyre looking for. This is not a place where youll be sold a bill of goods, mislead or pressured. The SUV was very accurately described in the online listing--no surprises--and it was priced well. I didnt end up getting it for personal reasons (I didnt get any classic car anywhere) but Jeremy was understanding and never tried to pressure me. When I get back in the market, I will definitely check back to see what these guys have. Theyd be my first choice.
In late November, 2018 I made the decision to contract with Garage Kept Motors to market my Factory Five Roadster (i.e. Cobra) after six months of trying to sell the car direct.I had made many calls to similar companies as Garage Kept Motors but found in general that the salespeople did not return calls regularly. Frankly, most of them wanted to give me pennies on the dollar for the car then mark it up considerably to turn a quick profit. Being that this was no fire sale I passed on these lesser offers.Within one week of A.J. having my car listed I was informed that a potential buyer was flying in to look it over. Like that it was over with. The car sold, I mailed the title and within days had a cashiers check in my hands.Overall my main impression of Garage Kept Motors is that these guys get it. None of this silly offering me pennies on the dollar, telling me the car (although nice) is not worth more than average and expecting me to stomach a low ball offer only to see it listed for 25%+ more the next day. The 10% commission method is a fair deal for everyone involved in my opinion. On a scale of 1 - 10 I give these guys as close to a 10 as possible. I do not have one complaint and wish them the best with seeing their business do well and prosper.
I have been hunting for a Porsche speedster replica and noticed an ad at Garage Kept Motors. I visited their web site and viewed the extensive portfolio of HD photos and video allowing me to have a close up visual inspection of the exterior and interior features. I liked what I saw and called GKM directly and spoke with AJ. AJ is a “car guy” and was knowledgeable about the car and answered all my questions. I moved forward and had a PPI done by a local garage. AJ provided me with recommendations of several garages and I picked one. I received a professional PPI and we agreed that there were no deal breakers in their assessment. AJ and I came to terms on the purchase price and the deal was done. Professional and smooth paperwork process with Ben and I soon had the title in my hands. Garage Kept Motors is proactive, responsive and cares. In the collector car world, I had the best buying experience to date with Garage Kept Motors.
Jeremy was spot on in his representation of the car i just purchased sight unseen. Upon pick up, the car was exactly as he said. Great company, easy to work with, didnt play typical dealer games, and went above and beyond to make the deal happen. Thanks for the new Camaro and for being an honest, ethical company!
Great experience from day 1. The level of professionalism and the level of communication is unparalleled. They know you, they know your car and you are not just another transaction. My interaction with everyone has been extremely pleasant and I highly recommend them to anyone looking to buy or sell a car. The selection they have is phenomenal and they have such transparency in everything they do. More dealerships should operate this way.
These guys are awesome. Buying/selling a car from 800 miles away is hard enough -- then layer some pandemic and it can get really messy. BUT these guys rock. They made sure I was 100% on the condition of the car and even had it tuned up just so it was running like a top when it arrived. They were responsive and professional and delivered at every turn --- including delivering a great delivery guy (JJ Brown Carriers). Highly recommend all involved.
I contacted Garage Kept Motors about consigning my classic car. I lived 150 miles away and didn’t want to drive it that far. Not only did they come and get it in an enclosed trailer at no cost to me, they sold it within a month. I was completely satisfied and will use them for any other classic car wants and needs.
AJ and Jeremy are amazing! I highly recommend them for assisting in the sale of your vehicle or to purchase your next vehicle. From the start AJ had a rough job to sell an ex-car salesman, I was trying to sell my car on my own and created a great ad with some great photos, so I thought. I didnt get much activity as it was a specialty car and the Michigan selling season was winding down so basically I was making arrangements to store it until spring. AJ intrigued me with his pitch on The Garage Kept concept so I went and met with AJ and Jeremy and viewed their operation, very impressive. So impressed that I consigned my classic car and they took some amazing photos and video and represented it very well and very correct and honest. They had it sold within weeks and it was delivered all the way to California without any hassle for me, seem-less for the seller and buyer (I am not so sure it could have been painless for AJ and Jeremy). I am extremely impressed with Garage Kept Motors and will continue to use them and be sure to refer friends and family and other car enthusiasts.
We dealt with AJ and he was very personable, professional, and responsive. The facility was extremely clean and authentic. In addition, I really liked that AJ went above and beyond to be very respectful of our time (being that we drove from out of town in seeing the car). In getting the deal completed, the process was smooth, quick, and my family and I would highly recommend these individuals.
Garage Kept motors not only stored my Mercedes convertible for me ovedr the years, but when it came time to sell it, they did a great job detailing it to perfection, they took excellent photos and marketed it across many auto properties. During the sales process, they kept me in the loop on all fronts, shielded me from the online scammers and ultimately got my car sold painlessly. Since my buyer was international, Garage Kept handled all of the communications, inspections and overseas shipping. All I needed to do was collect the check. Their brokerage fee is reasonable and well-earned! And their facility it immaculate. Your car will be well cared for while its being sold and/or stored at Garage Kept Motors!
I had the opportunity to work with Jeremy in December on a purchase. I found him to be a car guy and truly wanting to match the right car to the right person. Most dealers fall into the same old used car tricks but Jeremy didnt. That right there would be the reason to trust them and know they are looking out for your best interest. While I ultimately did not find the perfect car for me, I would not hesitate to reach out to Jeremy or A.J. when the time is right.
Great company that exceeded my expectations. Jeremy and AJ are truly honest and have integrity. They kept me informed when needed and only when they had qualified buyers and not for every tire kicker. Ended up with more $$$$ in my pocket than expected as well....usually not the case. Facility is top notch and a must see. Would definitely recommend and use in the future!!
The above charger mentioned, The 73, Wasnt too bad; I fixed all the leaks, it wasnt leaking transmission oil, And the brake lines were clean; It leaked a lot of oil, I was fine with that, They were selling the car for another person, The deck was not bondo, I took a magnet to every single inch of the 1973 dodge charger I bought, I Knew it had quirks, Already redid the dash, Fixed some transmission slips, lucas transmission additives... The engine knock went away when I changed the oil, Oil tends to thin as it sits, I understand It had wear; The car runs great, After a bit of tweaking. Great purchase, It was not their inventory; They were selling it on commission, I Wish; they, Had, Actually filled the coolant, And Actually filled the transmission fluid, Which doesnt leak and held four the last four days I had the vehicle. Other then that; Good car, Great guys to work with, Id be interested in buying down the road, And I really love the way the 440 sounds. First time buying a used car, They answered all my questions in sincere and orderly manner; Ill tell you what; Best experience I ever had. Would recommend for any classic car deal.
I recently purchased a 1948 Chevy pickup from AJ and Jeremy. Jeremy answered my call on Thanksgiving Day and worked with AJ to get all the info I requested. I am pleased with the vehicle as it arrived as represented. The shipper was efficient and pleasant. The whole process went very well. Great job!
I bought a beautiful Mercedes 500 SL 1999 with 27k miles chasis R129. A dream car. The car was exactly as described. The overall experience was perfect. After driving the car, and having had it for a while, I contacted garage kept motors to see if they would help me sell the car back. They have been very receptive and professional. I think they are a great find when you want to buy or sell special cars
Just recently had A.J. and Garage Kept Motors sell my beloved Jeep that I babied and took extremely good care of. And that is exactly why I chose them to sell it for me. A.J. takes the same care for your car as you do yourself, communicates well and as importantly we discussed what the fair and top dollar would be that I could expect and he nailed it!!! Why hassle with it yourself when he takes professional pictures, fields all the tire kicker phone calls, puts the whole deal together and calls to say Hey, come pick up your check!! Definitely will use them again to sell my cars, boats rec vehicles etc. Top notch all the way!! Thanks A.J.
I looked at a 73 dodge charger that they wanted top money for. Looked really nice said car was in excellent shape I even called and talked to Jeremy and he said car was real straight and done right. So I drove 81/2 hours to check it out with the intention of buying it and was totally let down. Both rockers were clearly made out of bondo the rebuilt 440 that ran great but had a wierd knock to it and also didnt have the 2 lower main bolts that bolt the tranny to the engine were not even there. The deck lid was clearly formed with bondo . The patch panel in front of rear tire was cracking cause the bondo was so thick . Overspray in wheel wells from paint job (Im thinking maco). Tear on drivers seat , small hole in headliner where seatbelt mount goes. Interior had be painted black and some of that not even fastened, windshield wipers didnt work , horn didnt work, heater didnt work meaning the blower didnt even turn on, heater control asymbly falling into dash not even bolted up , gauge panel was cracked , center console was cracked. Motor leaked out of rear main seal brake line leaked and tranny fluid coming out of both ends. They were asking 25,000 I wouldnt have gave them 15,000. Someone is going to get screwed on this car. I wasnt going to post but the more I think about it I dont want someone else to spend there time and money for nothing. By the way Im talking about the black cherry charger they have there right now. Buyer beware Im sure he had to know about at least a few of these things and could of been up front with me so I didnt waste 2 days of my time. He also made the comment well I dont want to waste anymore of my time well or yours sorry to waste your half hour as i spent 8 1/2 driving one way. If your going to buy a car here seriously look it over and be extremely cautious .
AJ and Jeremy sold my 07 Ford Fusion. I was worried it would be hard to sell, but from the start both guys were confident in their abilities to find it a new home. AJ and Jeremy worked with me every step of the way, and made the process effortless. These guys are top notch and proved they can work with any car and any budget.
Just avoid this place at all costs. The staff know little about their trade and are extremely rude (and overtly racist). They ended up selling me a car that broke down no more than 500 miles after I drove off the lot. Save yourself the time, money, and stress and go to a more qualified dealer.
A.J. and Ben at Garage Kept Motors were very helpful in the negotiation, purchase and transportation of my new car. These guys have a great inventory of cars and were very helpful in all aspects of this acquisition. I highly recommend their business and would give them 6 out of 5 stars.

2022-06-22Bryan and Ben were so helpful, and patient, since I had to go through 2 banks for processing my purchase. They also have a wide variety of collector cars and trucks. Check them out, or they can help you sell yours.

2022-06-21I purchased a 1958 MGA from Garage Kept Motors, and the experience was perfect. I had a price target in mind, and the staff (Bryan) made it happen. I live two states away, and was able to get the car delivered within a week. I did a lot of research for this car, and owning the MGA has been a life-long dream. They helped make that dream happen, and if I find myself in a position to purchase another classic car; I will be looking to them first.THANK YOU!

2022-03-18I have had nothing but wonderful experiences with Garage Kept Motors. In two short months theyve sold two classic Chevrolet pick ups and a Shelby GT500 for me! Bryan, A.J, and Jeremy make it extremely easy for the seller. They provide excellent price guidance and market evaluations if you arent quite sure what the asking price should be. Very friendly staff, they go above and beyond to make sure you are pleased with your experience. I will continue to use them for every vehicle I need to sell!

2022-08-08Purchased an 84 k10 from them completely over email. We nailed down a price and e-signed all the documents. Even sent me a step by step email outlining exactly how the process was going to go. Then helped me line up transport to get the truck to Tennessee. The truck was exactly what they said it was. Plus the 100+ pics of it and a video are nice. By far the easiest buying experience I’ve ever had. Definitely would use Bryan and Ben again if I was looking to buy another nice classic car or truck

2022-01-11Had a great experience with Garage Kept Motors buying a 1994 Mitsubushi 300GT. My Sales person A.J. was great to work with on obtaining information on the car and going thru the whole experience of buying my 1st ever classic car online. Ben was great working with me on recommending a transport company to bring the car out to Texas as well as all the paperwork and title. I would highly recommend buying a vehicle from Garage Kept Motors!

2022-07-27Have you ever contemplated purchasing a pre-owned vehicle, from an out of state dealership, without actually visiting the physical location? I recently had an opportunity to participate in that experience. From the initial contact with Jeremy, and throughout the entirety of the process, Jeremy was professional, respectful, informative and forthright. He responded very timely to my phone calls, text messages and email inquiries. Together with the countless exquisite photos of the vehicle and the very unique video presentation, wherein you could see the vehicle and also hear the purring of the engine and the headlights turned own.Old fashioned, respectful etiquette, along with modern day technology, A WIN, WIN FOR ALL!!!

2022-05-16Worked with Bryan and then Ben to buy a car that I never looked at in person until it showed up at my house. Whole process was streamlined, fast, efficient, EASY and most importantly the vehicle was as described and in perfect condition. If they had another car I wanted I would absolutely purchase from them again. Lots of things could have gone wrong, nothing did. Flawless experience from start to delivery. Thank you.

2022-04-18Bryan, the sales person was easy to work with. Very responsive to my calls. I hired a professional firm to inspect the car for me. Bryan worked with that firm. Bryan was also available to work with the car hauler with only two hours notice. I had the car in my possession for a week when the title arrived. It was clear and transferred into my name within 2 hours. This web site is now on my favorites list. I will continue to watch for other cars as nice as the one I purchased. (1961 Cadillac Convertible, from California)
