They say on their website Dont Wait Around for the Other Guys - Get Fast Service Now! and its true! I called 5 companies to look at a NO HEAT situation (it was 20 degrees outside) and they were a week out at best... GL Wilson was there within hours of my call! Very happy with a now working heating system. Thank you
GL Wilson was professional and courteous from the quoting process working with Ryan to the installation process working with Billy and crew. Ryan explained why we needed a new heating system & water heater and what would be involved. Billy and crew were prompt and explained what would be done, timing, and reworked existing water & gas lines in a clean and efficient manner. Also left the work area clean. Billy explained how to use new digital thermostat and functionality overall. I would recommend GL Wilson for anyone needing new household utilities.
Shortly after moving into a 17 year old house and just days prior to an extended 90Β° plus heat wave our AC went out. Panic set in immediately. Called several places and felt that no one understood my feeling of frustration or our immediate need. Barely a year in the new house and it was getting uncomfortably hot! Called G. L. Wilson Heating and Cooling and were reassured they were there to help.From Mick, the new office manager and dispatcher, to Ryan F Salesman, to Doug and Jeremiah the installers, and Jeremy the tech, we received nothing less than excellent service. They even found a used A/C that they installed until the new furnace and AC came in! Everyone was polite, professional, and patient with us. The aftercare that weve received with questions that we had about how to operate the digital thermostat, which we absolutely love, was really top rate. We highly recommend this company.
G.L Wilson is fantastic. We have been using Wilson as our go to heating and cooling company for 10+ years. They have been keeping our equipment working for over 30yrs. The good luck streak finally came to a end. We call after hours as it was a emergency. We were fearful we wouldnβt be able to get anyone out considering it was -14. We had service within about 2hrs felt like forever but we were sure happy to see them. Service Charge was very reasonable considering we called after 10pm. Our furnace was in rough shape. Wilson said they could get it back up and running and they did that night. We ultimately replace the furnace and a/c system with a new Lennox system for Wilson. We couldnβt be happier with the above and beyond service. Plus the top notch Install of our new system.
I had Brian from G L Wilson out to my home today (10/30/19) as my furnace stopped working. He called and gave me lead time to meet him as I work. He was prompt, reviewed and repaired my furnace quickly! He has great skills and was very professional. Very much appreciated!
I had a service tech come out to diagnose some issues I was having with my furnace. He quickly realized it was a bad control board and went to go order a new one.He returns and says that the part is obsolete because my furnace is past its life expectancy and that its not possible to get a new one, anywhere. And I need a new furnace.I thought this sounded odd at best, so I did some research. I found out that my 13 year old furnace is not past its life expectancy at all, so I called a local parts supplier. They had hundreds of the part available for order. I called the office back and told them what the service tech said vs what I had found out.The service tech then called me back about an hour later, saying the supplier made a mistake and they do in fact have the part that I need.Im not saying that I was lied to or that this was an act of malice, but I absolutely cannot fathom why another supplier wasnt called. The service tech was so surprised that he even called his boss to double-check, but didnt call another parts store to verify that a mistake hadnt been made. This part runs for $100 but I was advised to spend between $5,000-$8,000 for an entirely new furnace.G.L. Wilson did refund my service charge which Im very grateful for, hence the 2 stars.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Worst customer service EVER. The manager is rude and extremely unprofessional. Completely unorganized.We had a tech come out to diagnose an issue we where having with our furnace. He stated we had a bad transformer and it needed to be replaced. Upon replacement, he advised us that we are leaking 3% parts per-million carbon monoxide and that the furnace needed to be replaced immediately (we have carbon monoxide detectors in the house btw). Within 30 minutes another person was out to quote us on a new furnace. They charged us $500 to fix the part, and quoted us $7000 for a new furnace.This all seemed rather odd to me so I consulted a friend whose husband works on furnaces . He stated that what it is leaking is not anything to be concerned with and had no problem coming over to check it out for us. The furnace now wont shut off...runs constantly. Weve called GL Wilson twice to come back out and fix it and they refuse. Stating there is no point in coming to fix something that needs to be replaced. Then I must ask...why the $500 invoice for their previous visit then?The manager then proceeded to tell us that we canceled the new furnace quote and the guy never came out. But he did...and emailed me the quote on THEIR invoice, however she has no record of that. She then said they would NOT come out and look at the furnace and told us that if we do not replace the furnace that she would call the city on us, telling them we are leaking carbon monoxide and refuse to fix it. We told her to go ahead and asked that if they where wrong on their diagnosis, if they would waive our invoice and she refused. Told us shed feel better knowing our kids where safe because at least SHE cares.So at this point, we have a furnace that wont stop running, a company that came to fix it and didnt complete the job...refusing to come do it and now threatening us...so we are forced to find another company and hope the city doesnt have to waste their time coming to our house for nothing.WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE! EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL!! WILL NEVER RECOMMEND TO ANYONE ELSE!!
They called me to remind me about my furnace tune up and offered me a great deal. They did the work and came back to install a part that was needed. They didnt charge me labor again and did a clean job. The gentleman that came out would call when he was nearby and was always professional. They did a great, customer focused job!
Installed brand new air and furnace two years ago. Problem with Air conditioner started year ago; didnt cooling enough. Temp in house higher then outside and we werent cooking , just came back from work. Technicians came several times because my complain, plus tech came for maintenance twice a year. Last week find out my air conditioner is leaking and out of coolant. They found this because warranty on labor expires month ago. They wait until warranty expires so they can charge me for labor. This was bad installation from the beginning.Bad, bad service.
Worst customer service EVER. The staff is rude and extremely unprofessional. I have called and left messages. After they installed my heating system I apparently did not matter. My conversation with the manager was completely ignored. I asked that he put a heater vent in a room above the heater. He stated that would not be a problem. Well it never got done. I will not recommend this company. I feel like they are unorganized, not willing to answer questions. I am very dissatisfied.
GL WIlson is the classic reliable home town company, and they install the best (Lennox). When we got new heating and cooling four years ago, they suggested a heat pump instead of an AC, a great idea which none of the other bidding contractors thought of. We love the heat pump. They did a very complicated installation, as requested, with long lines out to the heat pump through the attic, on time and with a sense of humor. The furnace is quiet and super efficient, and has worked flawlessly. The annual maintenance is done as scheduled and minor adjustments have been handled with care. I made the right choice in hiring Wilson and recommend them without reservation. I dont normally do these kinds of ratings, but these people deserve it.
I would NOT recommend GL Wilson. They have been serving my mothers furnace, water heater, air conditoner for years. She has also purchased from them. But within the last year, their service has gone downhill. She had a furnace and water heater installed in December. They had to come back a few days later to fix a pipe that was put in wring and flooded her basement. The water heater is already rusted on top and they installed the furnace under a air conditioner. They recently scheduled her yearly air conditioner check up. Two days later her basement is flooded again and water is going into the new furnace. Four days later then finally come back to look at what the issue is. Tech said they had to order parts. Over a week later, she had to followup with them. They told her she needs a new air conditioner due to a rusted pan that the installer of the furnace should have noticed 6 months ago. And they still have not fixed the rusty water heater they just installed. If you dont want a company that has to keep coming back to fix what they installed wrong, do not call GL Wilson
My AC had stopped working, of course on the hottest two weeks of July 2019, I called GL WILSON for service , Ryan determined that I needed a new compressor. I was scheduled for two weeks out for a new one, Ryan called me and told me a crew was coming out to install a temporary compressor, what a blessing! The crew installed the temp compressor and I had AC that evening!!!! Thank you sooooooo much to Ryan and the install crew. GL WILSON will be who I call on for HVAC services. ππΌππΌππΌππΌππΌ
Same thing happened to me as the review before me. This company told me that I needed a whole new furnace. Second opinion told me that the part that I needed is a universal one that every hvac company has in stock. When confronted, gl Wilson had every excuse in the book. Be cautious of this company.
I had two major projects and one minor project completed by Wilson. Everything is working so the final objectives have been met. The people that completed these projects are hard workers and were determined to get it right. Iβll be using Wilson again and hopefully Ryan will return my calls in a timely matter :).
DO NOT LET THESE CROOKS INTO YOUR HOUSE!!! SCAM ARTIST. If there were negative stars I would definitely use them.The β tech βcame over to do a β safety β inspection. Started saying right away that my furnace looks like it might not pass. He went through several maneuvers to distract, then he pulled out a preset on 6 parts per million carbon monoxide tester. The tester was supposed to be set on zero before the test started. It wasnβt. After less than ten minutes, he said the test is over and our furnace is junk. He put a big sticker on it that said DANGER, DO NOT RUN THIS FURNACE. He also disabled it so it could not heat our house. He conveniently has a βbuddy βthat could come over in a couple hours to give us a price on a brand new furnace. His βbuddy β ended up being his boss.One of their screw ups was when the first scammer left, he forgot his tester that he just got done scaring us with, inside my furnace. After he left and before his boss came over to close the deal, l found the meter and googled It. In just a few minutes, I knew how to use it. I tested my own furnace at least eight times. Over and over, l retested my furnace for carbon monoxide. Every test, with that same meter came out at ZERO. When the buddy/boss/manager Ryan Fitzpatrick came over the first thing out of his mouth was, he sells Lennox furnaces and they are the best. 8-9 thousand dollars starting out. I asked him to retest my furnace which he quickly agreed to. As he was setting up to do his retest, he put his body between the furnace and myself talking to distract, but I was definitely going to make sure that this meter was starting at the zero point as itβs supposed to be when the test starts. I stepped out so as I could see and sure enough he had already set it on two parts per million. SCAMMERS. After I noticed it and said so. He messes with it and acting like it was a oversight and reset it to zero. He ran his test with me standing right there and his test revealed what l suspected it would. ZERO PARTS PER MILLION. Thatβs when I called him out and revealed that I had run several test with his employees meter. The look on his face was priceless. There is a lot more to this story that would make you more sick, but I have definitely shared my opinion. DANGER DO NOT HIRE THESE SCAMMERS!!!
Fantastic service!!!!! If Wilson isnt your first pick for repair you are making a HUGE mistake!I had set up four appoints to have diagnostics on our AC. The first company to come out was All Weather....he did an inspection of our system and determined that we need a whole new system which would have costed us in the thousands; I took the information and waited for the next estimate.The next estimate was from Wilson. OMG! They are wonderful. What they did as fixes were so simple, cost effective and right that we didnt need to look any where else! Instead of thousands of dollars, it costed us under 300!Wonderful people, wonderful service!
I called and had an appointment set up for a tune-up. Service man came out and did (some) checking with his meter and told me I needed a new control board (cost-$425). Did not even clean the flame sensor! I replaced the board myself for ($81). I dont think I would trust their expertise!
Outstanding service. The technician, Kevin, gave sufficient notice when he would be at the house, was courteous, found the problem very quickly, was very informative and explained the problem (burnt transformer), showed how to test it, and explored what may have caused it to burn out. Date of service was 5/22/2012.

A BIG thanks to Jerome who has been so helpful and went above and beyond with a smile long after hours , fixing the glitch in the thermostat so the air would run on a 94 degree day π

2021-09-21G.L. Wilson is an awesome company. I had accepted the agreement to replace our HVAC system, but during a heatwave our old AC unit died. I left a voicemail for Ryan Fitzpatrick on a Friday afternoon. Even as busy as they were, Jeremy calls, hes on the way. He then called in another tech, went to the store, bought a thingamajig and got us running. Hours were spent and when Jeremy left he refused payment. Excellent service!

2021-06-30AKA. Lotsbaich Family. As is usually the case, our furnace/AC decided to die at the beginning of a 90 degree heat wave. The furnace was a Pulse and over 30 years old. The gentleman that came explained the problem and gave us the estimate for our new furnace and ac. (We had an estimate earlier in the winter for just the furnace that was much higher than the furnace AND AC we purchased.) They helped us with financing too! The next day the same gentleman came to tweak our old unit to keep it running enough to keep a small amount of cool air flowing while we waited for it to be installed. The day of installation 3 very polite and professional young men arrived early with our new furnace and ac. They worked throughout the day. Removed the old unit, fixed a duct that had been disconnected, installed our new furnace and ac. Such nice considerate people. It rained that afternoon, they pulled out a large umbrella and kept right on working. They were at our home most of the day. They took the time to show us how to use our new keypad/thermostat. They did such a great job of removing all the boxes and pieces of the old furnace. Cleaned up the area around our new furnace afterwards. I just cant express how happy we are with our new unit and the service they provided. We purchased this home 4 years ago. The night our new unit was installed was the most comfortable night we had since we moved in. Thank you G. L. Wilson H&C, We are totally thrilled with the product and service you provided.

2021-12-01Called about moving a hot water register. They wanted $45 to just look at the job to be applied to cost of job The day of they wanted $95 to look at job not to be applied. I called another company who did the whole thing in 45 minutes costing $135. They were taking advantage of our old age.

2019-11-02We have had great a great experience with G.L. Wilson. The company installed new AC for us and then a year later updated our furnace and water heater. Both installs were positive experiences. The techs did great work and cleaned up after themselves. Great financing options available too. Highly recommended.

2020-11-30We would highly recommend this company. They were able to replace our boiler much more quickly than expected. Workers were all very professional and knowledgeable about their jobs. They kept us informed as work progressed and cleaned up as they went. They also had lots of support to get needed parts and disposing of old ones. We would definitely call on them in the future.

2019-05-14GL Wilson installed a new air conditioner at my residence (which previously never had any AC). Ryan, who came to quote me for the job, was really helpful and thoroughly explained what needed to be done. Didnt act like a pushy salesman or try to force me into anything, and was really honest. Quote came back fast and was very competitive. They were able to get me scheduled for an install right away. The install went by quickly, and the work was done very well. They cleaned up after themselves, had me test the unit to my satisfaction, and then walked me through all that they had done. Everyone was really friendly too.I would definitely recommend this company and plan to work with them on any heating/cooling needs in the future.

2021-06-28Miserable to work with on a new AC install. Left a mess(sheet metal screws everywhere), poor quality work (ripped down the wiring to basement lights to run lines then left it like that), and difficult to work with (took months to get someone to fix the line they installed that leaked when installed). Owner acted likewell we got it right eventually so you should be thrilled. Dont use them, find someone else.
