Comment: Im a Realtor who was representing a buyer on the sale of a house that was located in a high fire zone. I spoke with numerous agents who all told me that the only option would be to get fire insurance through the California FAIR plan which is a last resort for people who can not get fire insurance elsewhere. Comment: I’m a believer in Goosehead and in particular Philip! It was near impossible to get homeowners insurance this year because of my 92883 zip code (extreme fire risk). I’m familiar with fires after living through the Sonoma county fires starting in 2018, 2019, and 2020.This is is where it gets interesting. In 2018 I was evacuated which resulted in a claim for lost use, and a claim for food; a whopping $1500.00! That claim dogged me all the way to 2021, and resulted in no one willing to insure me because I had “2 claims” in one year!“But for” Philip Miles really going to bat for me I would have been stuck. He worked with USAA to clarify that my 2018 “claim”was a single event claim. Interestingly, as a member of USAA since 1975, they wouldn’t give me the time of day for my new home. Farmers was willing to insure at over three times the cost.I really couldn’t believe Philip would put out so much effort for one homeowner…but he did! On top of all this, because my home finish date was repeatedly delayed, I was just waiting for the quote with Stillwater to expire. Thankfully, Philip kept my quote active until I finally closed 10/26/21.I ended up bundling ALL my Insurence (auto & umbrella)with Goosehead because customer service matters, and RATES we’re the best. If you want to have an agent who represents your interests and provides personal service, call Philip at Goosehead!

Comment: With the purchase of our new house in an area in the hills (fire danger and flood danger) no insurance would take us. I called AAA and even they would not cover our home insurance. Our loan officer recommended Goosehead Insurance. Once we called and spoke to Phil he gladly looked into home insurance and gave us a quote SUPER fast! Not only was Phil able to cover us with home insurance but he was very professional and reliable during the whole process. He gave us 2 separate quotes so we were able to compare coverage.
