Went here for a friends birthday party, everything is extremely overpriced, the floor sucks, and the carpet is impossible to skate on, their bathroom smells and looks disgusting there was water on everything, the whole place smelt gross, and the staff were incredibly rude my friend accidently hit me in the face and my nose started bleeding when I asked for an ice pack they said they would get me one in just a second and 5 mins later I still did not get it so I went and asked for it again and I was told to “shut up and wait a minute” by the worker, and the boards along the side of the rink are unsafe and easy to trip on, also there are leaks around the rink that someone could slip on, and the music and lighting was terrible. Not planning to go back there.
Cheap and fun! The DJ played great tunes and even was out there dancing and playing games with the crowd of skaters. My family had a blast I highly recommend
Good for an outing!! Just bring your own water! The drinking fountain was absolutely disturbing with what appeared to be mold....
The kids are so disrespectful and called my kids n... and b... I never come back here. The Manger didnt nothing about it.

The staff is so nice and helpful! Popped us fresh popcorn and filled us in on the best times to come, how thoughtful! Great snack selection, and cool retro arcade games and prizes! Skate floor is perfectly polished, music is age appropriate, all the disco balls sparkle, theres plenty of skating walkers for beginners, the carpets clean & rad, hand sanitizer is readily available, bathrooms are fresh, and so is their professional gear selection! 😉👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Fun times! Absolutely love how when I walk in it feels like its 25 years ago at a school skate party! Love the floor! The blond woman employee is such a nice lady. Very helpful. Im definitely having more parties to come here and will be bringing the kids more often.

I have gone to this business for years, this is the first time I have been there during the year of COVID-19. The business felt the need to swipe me with a metal detector and look through my skate bag to make sure it was actually roller skates but was running absolutely no enforcement of statewide legal masking requirements. There were dozens of people with masks below their noses and people with no masks at all. I was scared for the children in my company and for myself. This location will be added to the list of places I will never frequent again.

The Byron facilities have had a complete facelift! Wow!!! I was awestruck when I walked in... The snack bar and menu is grrrrrrrreat! They have a menu with great specials and the pizza is better than big store competitors! Great place to bring the family to eat in or take out! I grab pizzas, wings, chicken fingers, fries, and “ALL BEEF” hotdogs on the way home! I love the hotdogs and pizza! The management is very customer friendly and accommodating!!!All patrons and the employees, including the manager were masked... I witnessed employees disinfecting everything! My family and I felt perfectly SAFE!
Nice staff, friendly people come to this rink. Floor has uneven spots and slippery (wondering if it ever gets swept). Sound system not too loud so conversations are possible unlike other rinks. Had a great time connecting with other adults and skating with the kids. Nice staff, friendly Byron Center culture!
Staff was awesome for a first time person like myself. Please do yourself a favor and take bottles of water or buy them. My 5 year old showed me the drinking fountain which had black fuzz growth on it. Right where the water exits and a trail going towards the drain. I really started feeling dirty after seeing that. Besides that it was a great time with friends and family.
I had my 30th birthday party here and it was an absolute riot. We rented out the whole rink and had about 35-40 people there and everyone had so much fun. The staff was wonderful and very accommodating to us. It was awesome having the rink to ourselves and being all adult only with a couple of drinks (made our falls more tolerable ). We definitely want to do it again!!!
We had a great time at the Byron Fun Spot. We brought our five-year-old, and the skate rack was perfect for his first time skating. It was incredibly warm in the building when we were there, but the 80s night music was perfect. The floor was small and had seen better days, but we had a blast and would recommend it to anyone. We went to the Kentwood Fun Spot a week later and it was awful.
I came with a church group and we had a great time. The girl behind the snack bar made the experience lovely. She was very kind and made the experience worth while, and despite difficulties faced she stayed professional and did everything to accommodate our group. Although there was some inexperienced workers there, a few members of the staff made us have a good time.
We visit here often in the winter months. Its an older but nice facility. It runs $5 or so per person with or without skate rental. They have some games and a variety of food and snacks for sale. Sundays they have a number of specials for food and drinks. Good selection of music to skate too.

Friendly place. We take our kids and grandkids there every other weekend. The skate rental and repair guy was super nice and fixed my grandsons new skates for free. Love the manager too! Shes so helpful!
Avery loved having her 8th birthday here! The manager Judy is extremely kind and the whole team was excellent with our party! Would definitely recommend for a party or just a fun day out with the family!

Took our kids there for a school event. Not too bad with prices. The roller rink is VERY bumpy and old for sure. Taking little ones out to skate was kind of a nerve wreck as they would trip with how bumpy the skate rink is. They dont have enough staff to make food for large events and the food is priced for good food, which is only okay food. Still a fun place to go with the kids if you have nothing else to do...
Love this place. Its a cheap and fun family activity. The staff here is awesome and friendly. We come here all the time. I highly recommend this place. Its a great way to get all the extra energy out of the kids so they sleep really good the nights they come here

Update: Just had my daughters 9th birthday party here and it was AMAZING!! They went above and beyond! Worth the money! I cant say enough good things about the people here!!Love this place! Very family friendly and never too busy!!
I came here with a group of family and friends because I bought a Groupon for skating. It has been years since I have been on some roller skates so it was definitely an interesting night. We all had a pretty good time and enjoyed the music that they played. The food prices were reasonable and the facility overall was clean and inviting. I would return without a Groupon deal.
My daughter and I went skating here and brought our own skates. My daughter has been having so many problems with her skates that she was thinking of selling them. When we arrived, she put on her skates and did not even get around the rink one time before asking to rent a pair. TJ, an employee, offered to take a look at her skates to see if he could help. After a few minutes, Dawn (the manager), began helping as well. These two delightful employees spent approximately an hour working on my daughters skates which are now working perfectly!!!! My family are now loyal skaters at this rink due to the outstanding customer service we received from these two wonderful employees!!!
The food was great, the music was great, and the environment was great. The floor however, needs some major repairs. The floor has been bad for many many years. The metal vent that sticks a good inch out of the wall that runs along the back of the actual rink needs to be changed. Putting some pool noodles on it with some masking tape does nothing. That is sharp! It is at an adults mid thigh height. By the end of the night the pool noodles had been torn off the top do to people grabbing it...it will be a hefty law suit if anyone seriously gets cut on that metal vent.
Old but cute skating rink. Friendly staff. Slushie machine couldnt keep up with the demand but they brought out the slushies when it was ready. The skates seemed new but tried to be vintage. They werent the greatest skates to use. They seemed to function like they were very old too. Wheels not aligned, sticking, etc. But still had a great time here.

As we travel all over to experience roller skating rinks (From Indiana) this is by far the rudest rink weve came across. I understand it gets frustrating dealing with little kids day in and day out weekend after weekend but when I as an ADULT ask a question I dont expect a smart a$$ comment and made to look like an idiot! We will avoid this rink at all costs and spread the word about how rude certain staff members are. We only encountered one pleasant employee and it happened to be the young lady working behind the snack bar!
Ive been going here since 1993. The place is always changing, but the rink is always kept up. Theres a decent food/ snack selection and the last time I was there only adults were running the counters.I much prefer this rink to any other in the Grand Rapids area.

This is a great family activity and lots of fun but the rink floor closest to the doors needs to be fixed. Other than a small section of lumpy flooring, prices are decent, workers are friendly and keep the business clean.
I went there with famliy and friends and do not recommend this as a good place to visit. It is run down and the staff is Not good. From the judgemental comment about my special needs child needing a skate helper support, to watching the highschool age staff huffing hellium from ballons and making fun of a young child who was trying to count out pocket change to buy candy. This business is poorly run and the staff is not there to make their guest experience a positive one.
I grew up here i was here almost every weekend. However right now its closed do to air conditioning issues. Come on guys open back up

Nice old school fun place to take the kids. Brings back memories of skate rinks growing up and our kids love going there. They have decent food and a small arcade as well.
Staff is nice. Facility is dated but they have spruced it up. The biggest drawback is the floor of the rink. It is wood slats and one corner of the rink has noticable buckling. Could trip up someone try to go fast around that corner.
We went there today. On google it said they were open. No one was there, and there was no signs explaining why. Its a fun, but hot place when its open. Sure it fathers day but at least give warning if youre not going to be open. Wish I could give a better review..
Was not impressed with this place at all we took my grandbabies for ones birthday, before leaving we double checked to be sure they were open and once again they said they were. Long story short they wasnt and when we called them from outside they got short with us. There was like thirty five people outside that looked on their website and saw that they were supposed to be open.
Looking for indoor family fun that doesnt cost a fortune ? This is it.

A nostalgia trip. The pizza was decent, the music was good, but the rink has warped and a small portion of it is nearly impassable. A fun way to spend a few hours with friends.
Floor is a bit rough and the carpet stained my wifes pants. Very friendly people though. Needs some updates but its a inexpensive afternoon.
I love this place I go there all the time. It is a great spot for teenagers cuz it is not that busy and they can just hang with friends.

This is a great old school roller skating rink. It reminds me of all the places I went to as a youth. its old and not perfect, but it has character.

The place smells like chlorine you cant even breathe the floors uneven and its so hot just by standing in there for 3 minutes you might lose 10 pounds and pass out its way to small i shouldnt have given it one star

We drove an hour to get here. The website clearly says they close at 10 and once we arrived here at 8, they told us that they were closed. Not happy at all.

2022-04-08The good: Price is affordable. The food was affordable too and actually taste really good. The kids loved the arcade, even though it was on the small side, the prizes were decent. They have tokens and tickets for their games!!!The bad: A few of the games were down and instead of being labeled they were just unplugged. That doesnt stop excited kids from shoving money into it. The floor is indeed uneven in a few spots. Enough to trip up new skaters, but not enough to stop me from going back. The staff at the food bar was nice, but told me they didnt have any of an item I watched others order.Ill go back again and didnt notice the stink others mentioned and did notice they were working on a leak in the roof.

2022-03-13Had my daughters birthday party this evening and could not be anymore disappointed. After attending a nephews party few weeks prior, my daughters was NOTHING like it. On website it says 30 admission/skate rentals but nothing about spectators.I paid around $500 IN FULL BEFORE “unlimited” party. $100 deposit and then rest over previous weekend Before eating or anything I was approached I had 20 extra people I would have to pay $10 each for. Making my total around $700. Now my sister in law had about double the people at their party and did not get charged extra.So as far as this “unlimited” package which includes pizza and drinks “unlimited”….. you only get 7 pizzas and a refill of pitchers.To top everything off the whole floor was soaking wet and we all stunk terribly like must or mildew leaving here.Crooked business that I am sure wouldnt pass health code. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE because after this place you will just leave broke and smelling terrible.

2022-03-05We had a 10 year old birthday party. It was very fun. We had 5 pizzas and had the place to ourselves for 2 hours. The kids loved it the staff was great would definitely recommend!

2022-03-28We celebrated my son and daughters birthday here and I have to say this was one for the history books! Majority of the group was adults and everyone had a blast, (just like getting back on a bike)! The team was very accomidating and went above and beyond to make sure we all had a great time. I think they gained 30 new skating regulars! Thanks for everything!!

2022-05-28We had our 9-year-olds birthday party here and the experience could not have been better. The woman who coordinated the party for us was super friendly and took care of everything. The pizza was great, the sound system is great, and the kids had a blast.

2022-01-30My grandkids love roller skating here! The staff are very friendly and helpful and the music they play is family friendly. The one thing that is a tad bit irritating is that they allow people to walk on the rink floor with with street shoes and baby stollers. Its not a huge rink so strollers can really clog up the area.

2022-01-31Oh Wow Amazeing place The Older Lady was so nice ,so kind the place so clean all were very kind alot of patient with all my Grand ,Great ,Grand Childern all had sn amazeing time And my Gramdson Carter had the best party ever Wow. all our colars were not an issue ,we were treated like family !! good pizza fresh !! service was wonderful the lady in charge the young lady and young held it all together kept us having fun even thow alot of my grandchildern are deaf they had s blast we are all ready planning to go back to other celebrations this year.2022 Thank you God Bless You and all you do for childern Many Many Blessing to you and your Familia

2022-04-04Good place to skate. We went for a birthday party. 5:30 - 7:30.. hard start and stop times. No big deal. Just be prepared to leave as soon as your time is up.
