Scott of Grand Wildlife Control was incredibly professional and helpful when we had a bat get into a room in our house. Luckily, he had time to come by within an hour, and easily removed the bat. We had previously spent many hours trying to remove it ourselves to no avail. We also had called a handful of other animal control companies, who weren’t available on the same day, and who tried to set up an appointment multiple days later - which wouldn’t have been helpful. In addition to helping with bat removal, Scott also knew a lot about the species of bat, had the info for what to do in case of a potential bite, and did a complementary exterior inspection which was educational and helpful. I highly recommend this company!
Scott did a wonderful job of walking us through the process upon his first visit. He was efficient and honest. I really like the fact that he did a complete inspection of the house interior and exterior, and found an minor issue in or attic unrelated to our bat problem. He discussed it with me so we can address that issue so we can prevent further damage. He completed the bat eviction issue in a two-week window. Scott was very clean with his work. He was very friendly and answered questions as he was going through the process. We heard about your company through word of mouth, and it was such a positive review, that I made the call with extreme confidence that the bats would be evicted. Scott was great to work with. He removed multiple dead creatures from my attic and caught 3 living ones! He was easy to communicate with, was speedy in coming over, providing a fair quote and getting all of the work done. He took his time talking to me and combing every inch of my home, discovering a lot of openings that couldnt be seen without knowing they were there! Will certainly call him in the future if the need arises. One doesnt receive this type of service typically and I was impressed from the beginning to the end.
Scott is an expert in his field. He was very professional and explained the process thoroughly and followed through and took care of the problem. I felt his prices were fair for the services provided and he also informed me of what I could do myself. I am very happy with Grand Wildlife Control and would use them again.
Paid a deposit a month ago and then Scott disappeared. There has been no work done after we paid and there has been no communication despite us reaching out multiple times. He was great upfront but this is disappointing. To make matters worse, we booked him with urgency since we have a baby on the way and wanted to make our house as safe as possible, and hes left us high and dry. Do not recommend.Update: Scott made it right, came back, and completed the rest of the job at no additional cost.
We had bat and rodent issues that another company mishandled at our expense. Scott showed up, did a thorough inspection, answered all of our questions, and successfully took care of our bat/rodent problems without cutting corners. He is knowledgeable, punctual and efficient. I had a snake in my vent and it was the second snake we found so we were concerned it was a colony. My household doesn’t like snakes so we called them and they were able to come out that day in about an hour and a half. He found a snake and transported it away and did a thorough inspection of my basement for more and how they got in. Very impressed with everything I saw. Would definitely recommend and use again if needed (hopefully not!)
We have used this service several times to get rid of skunks. Both times were handled quickly and professionally. Scott even took the time to explain the habits of skunks and the method behind the trapping of them. Very interesting!We would highly recommend Grand Wildlife Control for any critter that needs to be removed!

Stole a hundred dollars from us for the appraisal fee and disappeared. Never sent us the pictures he promised us or ever contacted us again. Avoid at all costs.

Scott was a very nice guy. Paid $159 for the initial inspection. We had a significant job for Scott who promised an email with pics of problem areas as well as a written estimate. That was about 3 months ago. Haven’t heard from him since. No messages returned. Bummer.
Scott came out to take care of an issue where bats where getting into our attic. After calling some of the larger companies in Grand Rapids and getting really high quotes just to even come out, I didnt think THAT was the best option. Through one website or another, and thankfully, I was able to find Scott. He came out for a fee (standard for these companies as ive come to realize) and inspected the property, sending me pictures of the areas that needed to be addressed. He then gave me a quote to do the work on bat exclusion-- letting me choose without pressure whether i would have him do it or a person of my choice. In all, the inspection fee + the service was very fair in comparison to what others were emailing me with, regarding typical costs, so I had him do the work. He put in three one-way doors for a week, and came back a week later to seal everything up. He also did a small re-inspection when he came back the second time to show me problem areas that might exist in the future if I dont get them taken care of (such as an old roof boot that he said could crack and become another entry area).I talked to him about warranties-- he guarantees his services for a year so long as the structure doesnt change-- like putting on a new roof or something that could cause additional entry areas.I think I called him on Tuesday and he was out here on Friday morning, to give you the amount of time it took me to get him here. He would probably be faster in emergencies, like if an animal was in your living space. Thankfully that wasnt the case with us. Hes very detailed on the phone. I think our first phone call lasted about 15 minutes to schedule because he walked me through the steps he would do to get the bats out.
Scott was excellent! They were very thorough in diagnosing the problem, and were kind and thorough in explaining the recommendation. We are extremely happy with the service and thankful for the quick responses, extensive and exhaustive analysis and, in the end, the work to rid our house of critters. Thank you!

This company is awesome!!! They spent a lot of time diagnosing the problem. Then gave us a full rundown of the problem (including pictures) and costs to solve. They immediately started taking care of the situation and did a great job of stopping the entry of rodents to the house. I will use them again for any pest problems we encounter!

Scott was a lifesaver! He was quick to get back to me and very patient will all my questions and concerns. He came over to my place and removed the squirrel that was in my attic very promptly, and made sure that no more could get in afterwards. He does amazing work, and ill definitely be using him again.

2022-08-13Scott was amazing to work with, he completed a very thorough inspection of my house and then made sure that I understood exactly how he was going to take care of my bat problem. He worked long and hard to seal everything up, coming back more than once to make sure that the job was done correctly. I am very grateful!

2022-08-14At first we were extremely pleased with the service we were getting for squirrel removal. Scott came out, was very kind and professional, and laid out a plan to get the critters out. For the first two weeks or so, Scott did exactly what he promised, trimming branches and trapping. Then I got a text saying that he had to go home early due to an emergency and would return in a day or so to finish everything. I never heard back, the work was never completed, and every attempt I made to contact him went unanswered. Now weve got squirrels in our walls again and will have to pay even more out of pocket to get the job finished.

2022-05-16I called Scott again, but this time it was to help with a squirrel crisis in my attic. Scott carefully inspected my attic, discovered the nest along with the entrance/exit of the squirrels, and advised the correct solution to handle the problem. He gave me the option to trap myself by providing tips on what to do. After 1 week, I successfully trapped/removed all 5 squirrels from my attic, thanks to consultation of Scott. He would have done the work himself had I wanted him to, but he also was looking at ways for the customer to save money. A truly honest and ethical professional. I will continue to use Grand Wilfdlife Control for any needs.

2022-03-31We had the same issue that a number of other reviewers have said. Scott was great at first, came out and did an inspection on the home and said he would email us pictures and a quote that evening. We never heard from him again. We called, texted and emailed but never got a response. After about a week of trying we ended up hiring a different company that came out and got things taken care of right away.

2021-04-15When searching for a company to help us remove and prevent squirrels from living in our attic, we had no idea what we were doing or what we were looking for. Upon accidentally calling an insect exterminator, we received a referral for Grand Wildlife Control. I immediately made the call to inquire about their services. Scott called me back in the same day. He was incredibly knowledgeable, the service prices were affordable and the services did not stop at removal, they included prevention. Scott was honest and timely (he came out the very next day) and his communication was very consistent. A week after Scott came out, we stopped seeing squirrels hanging around our roof and Scott coached us through prevention tactics. I highly recommend Grand Wildlife Control for any wildlife needs!

2021-11-29Fantastic service! I wish I had found Scott sooner. I thought I just had issues with mice but Scott’s whole home inspection found squirrels also and dealt with them and checked traps every week till they were gone. Then closed up where they were getting in. Will definitely hire Scott for any future needs if they arise!!

2021-11-13We had a mouse infestation that we needed taken care of. Scott explained what we had and what he was going to do to help. His service starts with a complete home inspection, basement, inside , attic, outside and even on the roof. Scott found how the mice were getting into our home. He sealed that entrance and several other possible locations. Several bait traps were set both inside and garage area. Scott also found a small bat colony during the inspection and agreed to return in the spring. Other companies wanted to set traps and then charge us to keep coming back to clear traps and set more, over and over.Grand Wildlife Control is a 5 Star company
